I purchased a new washing machine online before leaving for my holiday - the purchase was on the 20th of March. Delivery was given to be the 28th of March and off I went on holiday. Well it is now the 19th of April and for one foolish reason or another I am still waiting for my machine to be delivered - all the while Home Depot has my money. Beware of their sale tactics and for sure I will never buy another item from Home Depot Canada. I wish I could give them negative stars for a rating!

The WORST shopping experience EVER. Not even worth 1 star. Whatever you do, DO NOT use curbside pick up from Home Depot. Orders take way too long. (It took me over 7 hours for someone from Home Depot to tell me that all I need in my new Ryobi battery operated glue gun was the generic glue sticks that we should purchase from a local craft store.) Do yourself a favor and shop at Home Hardware who are set up the proper way for curb side.

The store was clean but cluttered. There were 2 aisles closed and the bathrooms were out-of-order. The aisles are short so items normally found together in other stores may be difficult to locate. A few of the items I was looking for were out-of-stock, of course. However, the staff is very friendly and courteous, and they seem to know what they're talking about.

At this Home Depot, the staff are incredibly friendly, and always go out of their way to help me. It never takes long to find someone available if you need help finding something or making a decision about the right product. I have had a staff go out of their way to help me put together a large order from numerous departments, and ensure all of my purchases were shipped and delivered to me, together. I find the store is always clean and well organized, and my dogs are always made to feel welcome when I bring them in with me. It is always a pleasure to shop at the Parry Sound Home Depot.

This HD is in parry sound. Great staff. Jimmy at the lumber desk was very helpful and very cherful. Lumber yard lady was great to deal with, especially since there were many trucks there with trailers. I plan on returning to this location for the remainder of my project wood.

I’ve been here many a time. It’s honestly hit and miss as far as the ability to get help from staff. Some staff are absolutely fantastic and are able to help with absolutely anything. Others just seem to take up space and can’t do a thing. I get it, I don’t know everything. They do try though. They usually have stock of most things.

The Home Depot has so many great household items. Everything that you could think of from tiles to paint, blinds, lights, fridges and stoves, just about anything for your home and garden. The layout of the store is good with long isles, big signs and staff everywhere to direct you where you want to go... There are so many items for those do it yourself projects or just sprucing up the home or garden a little. Staff was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Checkout was a little slow but all and all a good shopping experience. Get your d.i.y. on at the Home Depot.

Unimpressed with what I would call piss poor customer service. Asked to get totes down from the highest shelf and was denied because there was a different tote option on the floor. The totes we required were in the store just on the highest shelf which was unreachable. Said 144 in store, could not get one because the store standard associate would not call to get them down from the highest shelf. Can't say I will be back as Canadian Tire has a similar model that I decided to purchase. Increase your store standard associate training, the service recieved was poor.

Like other customers experienced, this store is very slow to process orders and wait time is more than 2 hours for small orders. I would not recommend this store to anyone. I have shopped at different HD stores but this is far worse than any other stores. They don't value the customer at all. Go to Home Hardware or Peaway. You will be treated as customer and very efficient service.

Extremely disappointed with the services after a sale. My husband and I bought a new home and walked into Home Depot with cash to buy all new appliances. We started with the Washer and Dryer (We shopped around and HD was the cheapest, this is what got our attention and got us in the store). A week for delivery, only to find out the dryer was badly damaged. The team left without installing the washer and took back the dryer. We called HD immediately to process the return. We were told 7-10 days for shipping of the new dryer. Called back 3 business days later to ask for an update on delivery. I was told it would then take another 24-48 hours to process the return as it hadn't been processed. Called the next business day and was told it would take 10-20 business days to process the return. We have a family of 4, no washer and dryer as of 2 weeks in. During a pandemic, It is not an option to take our things to a laundry mat and sit there for hours!!!!! We could have bought it from Costco for a bit more money and would of had it home the same day!!!! You lost our Business HD not just for the return, but the inconsistencies of your staff's lip service. I'm embarrassed to say HD was my first job out of high school. #ThumbsDOWN!

Rented a van here to haul all the wood I bought. Great service on the rental, Jimmy was great. So much better than those car/truck rental companies. This was simple, available by the hour. Only downside was that you are unable to reserve online or ahead of time. So you take a bit of a chance that one of the vehicles will be available.

This was the first experience for me at The Home Depot Woodstock, when I asked for help for a product from staff, he pointed correct aisle to me and left. The Staff seem to be in a hurry. To be honest, I expected better customer service from him. But 4 stars for this place, as I had a really good experience at the cashiers and customer service dept. They explained me about the product I was purchasing. Thanks to the cashier and customer service team!!

This review is for the Barrie ON store!! I used to think highly of this place until I bought a fridge. I bough it on December 14th, they promised me it would be delivered before christmas on the 21st. I had no fridge for my Christmas dinner. I did not receive a phone call on the 20th as they had promised. I called on the 21st, They claimed there was no delivery detail and a glitch on their computers. We had to use coolers for our Christmas dinner. They then said it would be delivered on December 28th. Again same story, no record of delivery. I am angry and disappointed on the service. Went into the store and we were told, there's no need for you to come. Fridge will be delivered on December 31st though my fridge is already in Barrie, when the delivery company called, they said your fridge will arrive sometime during the 31st we were third in line! After all the waiting, lies and wasted time we were to wait again. I am angry and this experience has been so bad that I will never purchase anything from Home Depot I dont recommend anyone buy a major appliance there. They were dishonest to make a sale! I bought a fridge from a different major store, they matched the price and delivery was made already. Home depot doesnt care about their customers satisfaction so long as they make a sale!!! Horrible, unprofessional experience, the escalating department manager promised he would call me back and on the 30th and turned out the guy wasnt even working thst day another lie to brush me off!! People be careful of this store promises!!

Very helpful staff here in Parry Sound. I was looking for 1lb propane canisters as the other blue big box store in the plaza was sold out. HD had 63 packs of 4 in stock according to their web site but unfortunately in storage up high. No lift driver was available. The lady clerk was not fazed. She contacted her leader and got approval to package 4 individual canisters for me. Love it. Thanks HD.

Although generally I have no complaints about this store tonight was awful. We went to the electrical area to get conduit and related boxes etc. They had almost nothing we needed in stock. The guy working the department kept scanning and saying they had 10 or 12 more of the thing we needed but that he would never be able to find it. He then disappeared for a bit and came back to say he looked in one cart but it wasn't there and that there were more carts but he couldn't go looking. He suggested we could go to another store. We were in Woodstock so he was suggesting we go to Kitchener or Brantford 40 mins away rather then find the stock they had in their store.

Bought an LG dishwasher from Home Depot it was broken on arrival with an error code. Terrible customer service from Home Depot terrible customer service from LG Home Depot basically washes their hands of the problem even though they sell LG products neither Home Depot or LG stand behind their products they don't have a repairman in my area so I'm still waiting for them to figure out how they're going to send someone to fix the dishwasher if it can be fixed they will not take the dishwasher back LG will not take it back and neither will Home Depot. Zero stars for LG zero stars for Home Depot extremely frustrated and disappointed will never purchase appliances from either company again!

Worst experience ever!!! Ordered online, received the email to come pick up. Arrive 2 hours after email and spent over 2 hours there waiting because the order was not pulled. A customer service representative ( she was nice) call management.. Scott i believe his name was.. gave me every excuse you could think of.." it never happens, computer error, they pulled the wrong color, had to exchange it..." meanwhile I am standing there watching them pull everything because they didn't have it even ready ( as the original lady I went to see stated). I get it mistakes happen, accept it, but don't lie about it and blame everyone one else... will never ever shop at woodstock again!!

Yay.. the store is open and adhering to the strict Covid-19 restrictions. At both the slStore entrance and Garden Centre entrance they were counting shoppers and there were short wait lines. Hand sanitizers were plentiful and Bathrooms available. There is also handicap parking spots. I felt very comfortable being on a store today ????

Actually very upset right now about the checkout process. I went to check out and the girl says this spot is only for self checkout (I have always checked out at that till mind you in the past and purchase my emt here every month) I said do you mean I can't checkout here and she said no its for self checkout. She grabs my things and just starts scanning them in the self checkout across the lane from where we were standing and then walks away....ummmm what? I'm standing there not knowing how to do this at all while my autistic son is jumping out of the cart and taking off . She proceeds to start taking a regular customer in a checkout lane...not a self checkout! I'm on the verge of tears ease I'm trying to handle my son while figuring out the self checkout process. I'd give less then one star if I could. Myself, I am a young guy, dirty work clothes, and work boots is my usual attire. I had gone into the store around 8:00 pm to buy some new gloves for work the next day. I had used the self check out, and on my way out was chased down by two of the employees requesting to see my receipt, Luckily I had it handy. But the feeling of being treated as a criminal for no reason was there.

When I returned some Vinyl planks took them over 45 min to complete the transaction and it was a huge headache. They were insisting in paying $56 dollars less than what I originally had paid. After all that I didn't even get an apology. Way to go, you just lost a loyal customer. To think I spent over $8000 back in 2018 in the Woodstock location makes me sick. Lowe's is now my store for renovations.

They have all you can ask for when you are fixing your home inside or out. We bought wood stain for our deck in a deep blue. Everyone that drives by slows down to check it out. Some have made sure to tell us how beautiful it looked. We also stained the busker a light blue and the railing so long the top is white. The his of those stain colors is fabulous. A few neighbours sent pics to their friends Quality products are hard to find these days so we were happy for the great stain and all the advice get gave us with picking paint or stain and how to make sure it lasts We went to buy other products there and I told them that another store had them cheaper. Well they gave the product for the cheaper price. That is great in my books.

Selling junk - we purchased a Frigidaire Model number FFRU17B2QWD and after 17-months it stopped cooling. Apparently it has a high side leak and unrepairable - action from Home Depot "its out of one-year warranty so not our problem" - Buyers beware this is a piece of JUNK and not recommended.

This particular store, in Woodstock, ON, Canada, has the most friendliest, helpful staff I have ever encountered. They don't say when inquired where a product is, "it's over there." Told to find own cart although none in corrals or in store, by two staff. Price charged at checkout was more than marked on shelf.Then told by cashier I would have to take patio door back. I told her to call gentleman in the door dept as he picked door and checked pricing while I was in that section. I had to go find him to prove pricing ,then had to wait 20 min for assistance to load in vehicle which another customer helped me load. The only positive was the service person at the door dept who was excellent.I am surprised this Woodstock store has any customers if this is the standard service.

So went for lumber...th associate was less than helpful. Wouldn't move the ladder. Then told me to move it and then climb it. When asked to cut the metal ties on the lumber so I could check them and pick out straight ones he only cut one end and not the other. This after the price in store was higher than on the web page. Every time I need help, I either can't find someone or the person I do find will simply point me in the direction instead of showing me where it is. They are also horrible for keeping stock in supply. Last year I waited 3 months for pine tongue and groove boards (ended up buying elsewhere) and I bought all of their 1/4-20 threaded inserts 2 weeks ago and they STILL have not stocked any more as of yesterday. I also do a lot of wood working and EVERY time I've gone for sheet goods in the rack of half sheets of plywood and mdf etc. I've left pissed off every time due to going through entire piles of wood to find every piece is so warped bent and twisted they aren't useable for anything and they don't sell and sit on the shelf forever, making that entire rack as almost useless unuseable wood. This is all based on my own personal experiences and u may have a better time with them, but I don't shop there unless I absolutely have to. I even order things online before I go there.

I use ALL the box stores in Parry Sound. The staff @ Home Depot are friendly and mostly quite knowledgeable. If in doubt, ask for the expert in the department before entertaining questions that require trades knowledge. The outside yard drive through is "golden" when picking up multiple items, or heavy bags of concrete/mortar. Quick and easy most days.

"Half of a normal Home Depot" Everytime I desperately need an item for my cottage it's always out of stock at this store, or they don't carry it -and you have to order it in. This week for example; my roof was leaking bad on my RV camper I needed a 5 gallon pail of roof sealant( a common item) I figured the Parry Sound location would have it -Wrong!! They had zero in stock and said it would take over a week to get it in .I had to drive over 100 km's return to the Huntsville or Orillia store to get what i needed..The Huntsville store had 7 in stock and the Orillia store had 6 in stock.Do not depend on this store to have what you urgently need - pickup what you want at other Home Depots on your way to Parry Sound and save yourself a trip.

I submitted a review that was negative due to 2 significant Home Depot experiences with customer service and the rental desk. I received a response from Home Depot representatives here and they quickly apologized and addressed the issue. Having to respond through certain social media platforms was slightly problematic for me and I almost didn’t. Regardless, it was efficient, really fast and has restored my faith in the company overall. Unfortunate that I had such unusual experiences at a particular location though but nice to be heard.

I purchased CIL distinction stain, cleaner and all the supplies to do a sand down/restrain on my deck last September. I was told using this expensive stain that it would have a great 10 year warrenty. This spring all the deck surface has started to Peel and it looks horrible. When I contacted home depot they told me to contact CIL because that's who the warrenty was with. Not home depot. CIL did absolutely nothing for me. Gave me the run around and started asking me questions that were just nonsense. They didn't want to cover any kind of loss that had occurred to me or even offered replacement stain. When I contacted Home Depot after this I talked to the paint manager. Her name was Sara. She listened to what had happened to me and she told me to come in immediately. When I got there she was very sympathetic towards the situation. She gave me everything I needed to redo my deck on the house and sent me on my way. THANK YOU SARA! I would also like to thank the nice lady working behind the paint desk today. She was very helpful and was very knowledgeable. You guys saved me and I appreciate all the help home depot has done to keep me as a customer. Well done Home Depot!

PICK UP YOUR PHONES, Why does it take 20 minutes to know if a product is in stock; not the workers fault btw why the H does this take so long?

I think a store of this size should really be doing there shelf stocking over night. I was there today. I couldn't look at blinds.....aisle was closed......I couldn't look at paint....aisle was closed.....I couldn't use the washroom... aisle was closed. Really??? I walked out empty handed, and I had quite a list of things I needed to buy.

I order a portable work bench and clamps 3 weeks ago and they delivered the clamps in 2 days and they just shipped the table today.(the table was in stock they just screwed up) Ive been trying to cancel the order for the last week and a half and have been on hold for more then an hour multiple times just for them to either hang up or offer a call back that never comes. This is absolutely some of the worst customer service ive ever received.

We Usually like this location, but today, we were looking at a table of stuff, in the paint department, when a woman, from there, came up to us saying something to the effect of 'while you guys are looking thru here, I'd like to tell you about...'.(some kind of cleaning service or such)...I said, no thank you, we're not interested. She kept going and I said, 'NO, please' and she continued, again I said please...no! And walked away...she kept talking. It does not matter where you are- No means no! I tried to be polite, but she would not except that. I should of walked out! I didn't end up getting all I needed because of her. If it happens again, and she doesn't listen to me, i will go straight to customer service, ask for the manager and do my best to get her fired. If anyone else has encountered this, please leave a comment. Thank you.

Went there the other morning at opening with my husband. At 8 in the morning a group of people are standing waiting to get. We all stood there in the cold watching staff member after staff member walk by the door and completely ignoring the crowd outside. Finally at about 8 04 which may not seem like a big deal however in retail if your sign says 8 youe have your doors open at 8. Finally got in the store grabbed what we needed, headed up to the cash and staff was having morning huddle. We walked up to a cashier and she just pointed at the self checkout and said go use that

Great customer service! I went in for some electrical supplies (primarily bulk wire) but couldn't find the electrical associate, so someone else stopped to see if they could help me even though they're not from electrical, then Janet came by and electrical isn't her thing either, but she wanted to help and we worked together to get the materials I needed... Sometimes when you can't find "the right associate" but someone has "the right attitude" you can get things done. Thanks to both Janet, and the other gentleman I talked to... you made my experience a good one... without the right attitude, it could have been completely different when I left the store.

I've never had issues with Home Depot in the past but I ordered a $600+ kitchen cart that came 2 weeks late. It came damaged and the wood was bent and bowed to the point were I can't close the cupboard doors and drawers. I wrote an honest review on the Home Depot website from my experience with the product and it was removed by the end of the day.

Horrible service! Went to pick up wood for the deck. The boards at the front were stapled together and up on the second shelf so we asked to have the staples removed. We were told that they are not allowed to remove the staples and didn’t have anything to remove them with. So we said, this is a supply store and you don’t have any staple removers? To which he replied, that’s inventory, we can’t open anything !! Seriously!!! Not our first time having a bad experience there, won’t be going back!

First time ordering from Home Depot, placed multiple orders to be picked up from this location, some on my cc, some on my gf’s. Took over a month to get in both orders. Rented a U-Haul, drove fromStratford to Woodstock to pick them up, nothing was together or ready to be picked up. Everyone at the customer service desk seemed to be disorganized as can be. Waited 20 minutes for them to gather my orders. After its all ready to be brought outside a lady named Anna or Anne told me I couldn’t she couldn’t release the order which had the majority of the items to me because it wasn’t in my name and I wasn’t designated as the one to pick it up. Like I said this was my first time ordering from Home Depot. Didn’t realize you had could designate someone to pickup the order for you. I explained to Anna we both have the same address, I could show her all orders were made from my Home Depot account, I even told her I could have gf call her even though she was working a nursing shift at the hospital. Anna wasn’t having any of it. Anna’s solution was for me to return on another day with my gf who’s being working shifts at the hospital amid a pandemic, rent another U-Haul which would’ve been another $100+. Never have I experienced such poor customer service in my life. I got in touch with my gf, had her call the store. She spoke with someone at customer service named Spencer. Spencer was great, verified who my gf was and had me on my way with my order. Be like Spencer, not like Anna.

First of all I walk in and goto the lumber. I grab what I need and goto the back to have my wood cut in 4 ft pieces. It took me 10 mins just to find someone to cut it for me and the other people searching for someone. I get home and realize they can't even measure the cuts properly. Half of them are 3 ft 11 and the rest 4 ft 1... thanks home depot.. just waisted half of my lumber!!! Not impressed????

I love this Home Depot in Parry Sound. I had to go in two days in a row and each time I had a clerk offer to assist me near the front and they didn't give up until I had ALL of what I wanted. I didn't get told 'aisle 56', they took me over and helped me find what I wanted on the shelves and offered suggestions. I am impressed! You rarely get that in the city!

Terrible customer service, 500$ worth of items are stated as in stock online ordered with credit card and received a call later saying they didnt have any and could not get any in. all they can do is cancel the order. pretty bad but its hard to expect more from big box stores.

Well.. everyone is a contractor in this town and gets a discount. They take people's words for it and not go through the correct process. Most of the staff are very nice, they all seem to have a great time at their job. Just wish policies were followed, especially when they price something wrong and then treat you like an idiot until you tell them they have to honour it. Watched a manager throw a fit after I tried pointing out the problem. "Do you even know what OSB board is?!?" In all honesty I should have filed a complaint after her rude interaction with me.

Always terrible service. So many examples I could use. They will not pick up the customer service phone. The long-haired guy at the front will not help you but is constantly trying to sell you a Home Depot credit card. I returned Two boxes of ceramic tile’s that were sold to me cracked and found them on the shelf for sale again a week later. I have also purchased new tools that were obviously a return and used in the box. I have found my two select go to people when in the store who are the only two who will offer any kind of help that is worthwhile.

It only gave me option for one star. I would not even rate it negative 3. Ordered siding they called me to pick it up. Drive to store they can't find product. They will find it and deliver two days later I get complete botched order. After having to pay crew to do nothing because of errors finally get hold of someone to fix issue. Week later siding shows up as I type this. I'm out 100$ for crew home Depot is now the Canadian Tire of hardware stores. Unbelievable

Went here Sunday May 24/20 looking to buy an 8' x 12' Patio Mat we had seen online and showed as plenty in stock at this store. The COVID-19 mandated queue outside the Garden Centre entrance had about 20 people in line, so we joined the end. First thing we noticed was that staff retrieving carts from the parking lot were just lining them up for re-use WITHOUT ANY cleaning or disinfecting. Once we got into the Garden Centre (without a cart), we asked about patio mats. We were told they had some small round ones in the Garden Centre but the larger ones were in the main store which was NOT ACCESSIBLE from the Garden Centre. The staff member told us there was a large sign outside indicating that the entrance we had used was for the Garden Centre ONLY. We found the sign in question completely block by an illegally parked Home Depot Panel Van on the Sidewalk !! So, we queue again at the Contractor's Entrance with 16 or so other people. When we get in (BTW, the returning carts at this entrance WERE being disinfected and wiped down) we asked about Outdoor Mats/Rugs and were directed to Flooring. There were NONE there. Eventually we left disgusted by the whole operation.
