Not much parking around this store but it was nice and clean and has a lot of fresh and unique items. It is quite handy if you are traveling and would like a fresh meal without going to a restaurant and eating typical restaurant food. The only thing I found a bit strange about this store was they sell beer but not wine which seems a little bit odd compared to most stores..

I was out for a walk downtown in Ottawa and needed a bathroom. This farm boy has a bathroom. Lol. Like all farm boys the story is well lit clean and lovely on the inside. I was very focused on my task though and unfortunately did not get a chance to go through the store.

Great store. Honestly, prices are any worse than a different grocer. The real secret is the Farm Boy branded food, snacks, sauces and dips, and different prepackaged meat options. Almost like it needs to be it's own trip just for the exclusives.

I grew up in Ottawa where Farm boy was the go to for fresh food and great meats. I am so happy to see that the standard has remained the same even as they are expanding! The hot food bar is new to me as the original stores in Ottawa didn't have that, rather a "ready made" food bar that you could take home and re-heat. I am happy to see that they still have the amazing cheese bar in the deli, and they still make their brand of salsa and tortilla chips! They Texas bread is amazing, and pricing is on par with big brands. I just picked up some of their artisan sausages that also were a go to for me. I am hoping their hold up to standard as well. Overall I'm thrilled that this FB has come to the city!

Farm Boy is probably the best grocery store in St. Catharines. It has a good selection but is not overly sized like some other grocery stores. I've never had to wait long to check out here and the cashiers are always friendly. It's one of the few places I can find a decent loaf of bread.

I'm becoming an Ottawa citizen coming this October... Hence decided to take upon myself to discovering my new city one step at a time. I know we're still grappling with the SARS-CoV-19 pandemic and now that the Δ [Delta] variant is out and about, more than ever we need to take care of each other, I'm a big believer that by getting vaccinated, I already had two jabs ✌????, wearing masks and socially distancing we'll make it through in due time. Well dovetailing to Farm Boy, it was a wonderful experience, from the presentation and decor at the store, the wide well ventilated spaces and protective panels to the quality of the produce on every single section to the careful, friendly and attentive demeanor of the staff, this was hands down one of the best grocery shopping experiences that I've had in a very long time. Got myself some berries, water, cider, cheese and salad for a nice very Canadian dinner, why? Because gleefully, they carry local and Canadian producers ???????? and trying not to be biased here, but every single product that I had was amazing, flavorful, fresh and rich. Eating local does pay on quality. The store was busy, clean and people were happy and very respectful of each other's distance, I can say that this is the first grocery shopping experience that I've truly enjoyed in over 20 months, didn't get to suffer anxiety from people that refuses to social distance or that charges like a mindless buffalo down the isle. I'd highly recommend doing grocery shopping at Farm Boy, great experience all-in-all while supporting our Canadian producers with high quality products. Thanks guys.

Would definitely recommend visiting this location. Only downside is make sure you go in the morning for the best selection of seasonal produce.

????‍???? Farm Boy was a really great experience for the first time. I love how they have different brands than other grocery stories. The produce is very affordable with a large selection to choose from. You can feel good about getting quality over quantity and supporting local farmers in the community. Some may say the down fall is that they don’t price check, but you get what you pay for and I would 10X rather pay for strawberries ???? that are a dollar more and not wrotten. Packaged products are more expensive but if you wait for the deals they are well priced. I actually feel like I am walking away with groceries. They also give you money back when you buy the organic milk and bring the glass jar back. If you have young children, the buggy only fits one child and they don’t have plastic bags, so bring reusable ones. They sell cooler bags and backpacks which are very good quality. ????

They have been systematically removing all Celiac Certified foods, like the Clic brand of rice and beans, from their shelves and replacing it with their own brand, that does not follow the same standards. I will no longer be shopping at any of these chains, and do not trust their gluten free claims, as they do not do any testing or PPM rating that could be equally compared to the CCA tested products that were already available. I do not appreciate a business attempting profit off my health.

Really nice looking and well laid out. Very friendly staff. Some things are more expensive than the “big” grocery stores, but some are the same price or cheaper - depends on what your looking for. Soup, Salad, and Hot bar are a nice option for fresh, ready to eat meals. The made to order pizza, burgers, and stir fry station is also very handy.

Although it was busy, it was properly staffed, everyone was friendly and they kept everything highly stocked! We absolutely loved the food bar (hot and cold). Amazing quality and very fresh. This is a great spot to grab a healthy lunch or dinner!! Otherwise, the prices aren't anything out of this world - produce isn't competitive with other grocery stores, but still very fresh. I'm so happy that we have one in St. Catharines and look at all the jobs it created!

Downtown grocery stores are a necessity and this farm boy is a perfect fit in Centretown. The produce is the best in the core, the to go food is nice and the quality of food is high. I am saddened to have to put this review as I was just really starting to enjoy your store. That was until I thought I’d grab my family a quick ready made meal, so I head to the Hot Bar within the store. I pack up 3 small to medium size meals - 1 simply consisted of garlic linguini noodles, 1 with the same noodles and 4 meatballs and the last one had rice, pad Thai and some king pad chicken. Yum right?! Then I hit the checkout and my total came toooo? Sit down for this one- $69.42!!! Yep that’s right and these were not an average meal size or items they were much smaller as I new the price may be a touch higher, but come on! So sadly no idea if it’s good or not but it’s a shame they rob people like that!

Despite the busyness of the place my cousin and I enjoyed our first visit to the store. The ready to eat hot and cold food was really good and worth the price we paid for. I was pleased to see Lacroix soda water at Farm Boy and will make more visits to purchase them. Overall, we were pleased with the layout and selections but the prices were about the same as other places with exceptions of the sales. I am looking forward to farming season starts in the spring, we're looking forward to visits to see our local produces fruits and vegs being promoted at Farm Boy.

My new favourite grocery store in town! Just food, no other nonsense. The layout is intuitive and superb, the produce is the freshest without going to a market. The staff is very friendly and helpful - I even had a manager just walk up and ask if I was finding everything. The butcher counter is very knowledgeable and well stocked. Of the house brand items I've tried, the meat lasagna and mac & cheese is some of the best I've had anywhere. Their tea, chocolate covered almonds, potato chips and cookies have all been fantastic. The only negative I can think of is the prices are a bit higher than some of the budget grocery stores...but that's not what Farm Boy is. I always look forward to going back and trying something new.

Stocks are replenished quite often and it is generally crowded on the weekends. They do have a parking lot and do redeem parking upto 2 hours. It is OK, and doesn't have anything that is overly unique. They have a scant few offerings that I might not find in my local grocer, and they have a plethora of their own branded items. Prices are a tiny bit higher. I took a good 10 minutes in the bakery, and they had the standard cookies, strudels, cakes etc, but again nothing different from what I see at my regular grocer. The lady walking around handing out cookie samples did her best to ignore me, she kept looking at me and turning away. I finally had to ask her if I could try one, and her face was red, and obviously displeased to hand me a sample. Spoiler alert, I didn't look like most of the other shooters there that she was overly friendly with. I bought a few basics, but this won't be a go-to store for me. It's too bad, because I had really, really been looking forward to it.

I had such a great experience. I called in as I wasn't sure how to get a gift basket and seen online said 24 hrs and I was really hoping to have one that day of possible. I was transferred to the Manager and she was super nice and was able to accommodate one to be picked up in just over 5 hrs. I quickly played the order online while on the phone with her and she was able to do it for me. The basket was beautiful and the recipients were very grateful. They just lost a loved one that they haven't been able to see bc of covid and they were so happy to get the basket

Purchased cheese the week of the 22nd (July) bb date is 29th....it got moldy before I even opened it. It was green, I have photos and receipt for proof, photo from July 26. Also purchased from the deli... Have never seen such careless service. I'm not exaggerating, half of the slices were falling off the little separator sheet, messily thrown into a bag, some were almost dropped. Also, personal preference and I didn't specify how thick I wanted the salami sliced, but the slices are quite thick. Not sure I will be returning to this location. Unfortunate because it is so close to me.

Really nice store, lots and lots of great products that you can't find other places. I find that they could reduce the staff and lower prices. They have all cashier's open and most of them are standing around waiting for customers. People don't mind waiting a few mins for check out....these cashiers jump on you as you head to the front.

I have been waiting for the Waterloo location to open for months! We visited on the opening day, great market. Lots of options for meats, breads, spreads, sea food, bakery items, desserts and fresh produce etc as well as high quality convenient meals. We bought their garlic bread, mango kombucha, skewers of shrimps and sauerkraut and got samples of their delicious chocolate chip cookies. The lay out is very customer friendly and the staff was professional, accommodating and very welcoming! Super happy that they opened in town.

Nice little grocery store with lots of great gluten free options. Price wise I'd put it somewhere between Vincenzo's and Sobeys. The Farm Boy store brand items I've tried so far are all really good and the prepared hot/cold food has been good quality as well. The gluten free frozen pizzas had a nice crust that wasn't too chewy and tasted good.

Everything is fresh and well displayed. The store is clean and stocked with products not available elsewhere. We don't live close enough to go weekly but that's ok, it makes for a fun outing once a month and we look forward to it.

Well I have been waiting for a grocery store like this for a long time. I know you have to pay a higher price for quality produce, but when they source it locally I support that. I purchased, pistachio baklava yum!! Also tried the Hayter’s Farm cranberry and spinach turkey burgers unfrozen, very tasty!! Also purchase fruit that was on clearance shelf, good quality still had good shelf life.

I go here to get my meat and produce. The other grocery stores in the area don't have nearly the same quality. Farmboy in general has less selection than for instance a Loblaws or independent would, so there are a lot of brands and specific things they don't carry - but the quality, in general, is much much better in terms of meat, produce, and sometimes organics/ health foods. This location also has a beer aisle and a wine shop (not a wine rack) attached.

Many of their products are excellent like the Turkey burgers, carrot cake and dim sum. Some aren’t like there organic oj which is sour and their chocolate covered almonds that I’ve purchased twice and both times were stale. All in all I think the store is great.

It a LOVELY store. I wish there wasnt so many people in there I would've bought more. I'm used to shopping at sobeys an zehrs so i didnt find it unusually expensive. I feel like in comparison to the oakville store theyve brought it down a notch. But for people who typically shop at Walmart n freshco it would definitely be terrifying. But the quality is UNREAL I got some brussel sprouts for example they were HUGE like almost the size of my palm. Everything appears so fresh that I almost wanted to eat a carrot off the display. They have their own brand of stuff that's probably twice the quality of compliments and pres choice. Overall I was impressed. With the exception of my bulk meats, cases of water, and other Costco items, farm boy is my new store. Sorry sobeys, it's over between us ????????????

Central downtown location, very clean store, well laid out, fresh produce and good selection of products. The staff are excellent, you don't see that level of customer service often these days. On my last trip my hands were full carrying my son and I dropped my glasses and the cashier came around the cash, picked them up off the ground for me for me and offered to bag my small grocery order. It is the small actions like this that guarantees I will return to this location.

Finally a Farm Boy in the area! A lovely store with lots of organic and gluten free products. It's like a Canadian mixture of Trader Joe's & Whole foods. My only complaint is regarding the quality of organic eggplants. I bought them three times but every single time the eggplants are rotten or sometimes "old" that the seeds turn black and the texture was like hardened chewing gum. All other veggies and fruits are so far so good.

No Parking !! Ottawa Bylaws are quick to ticket ya especially when your just going in to pickup fast food and nothing available at hot food station then you wait for them to prepare it and come out ...you parking ticket is over 1min and 35 seconds and Bam!! your hot Pianza slice just cost ya 115$ So ya ain't going there again ..

Was not permitted to enter an aisle where someone with a mask exemption was being harassed while shopping. Staff angrily told me not even to enter when it was more than possible to stay 2m apart when the person was obviously not even sick.

Great location, lots of options! My ONLY gripe is that you don't have regular ol' potato fries, only waffle fries or vegetables fries. Give me reasonably-priced fries so I can make my own veggie poutine please! Hot bar is dope, this place also has craft and imported beer selection, plus a wine shop next door.

Liked the store - attractive design, great selection of products, reasonable prices. My daughter asked for bagels that weren't on display - the salesperson was very nice to go and get them from the fridge. Enjoyed the experience and bought quite a lot although didn't plan to buy anything.

After having dinner with friends, I asked where did you get those Pork Loin Centre Chops. Farm Boy. I decided to check out the New Waterloo store on Friday, March 19, 2021. When I walked into the store, I was taken aback by the produce section. It smelled fresh and looked like the produce was just freshly picked and washed. I was craving BBQ. The butcher at this store was very friendly and knowledgeable. He asked me how thick/style of cut I wanted. And showed me before he wrapped it up. The price/quality was good. I will shop at this Farm Boy again. They have so many different food sections to explore, I get hungry just thinking about it. A few days later, I seasoned/cooked these chops up, and served them with brown rice and mixed veggies for a nice Sunday dinner.

Always great for a large investment in our city of St. Catharines. Another great option. I found a couple great deals on small items. Picked up some vegetables. Not a huge selection of meats and seafood, however, there was some different varieties and they all are very fresh and attractive to the eye. Many of the grocery items were a dollar or two more than what I’d normally spend. The farm boy label is on many of the products. They have a nice salad bar and hot food selection which may be a nice addition for the hospital and surrounding staff. I came when they just opened and everything looks beautiful, shiny, clean and perfectly organized. Impressed to learn this is the 30th location in Ontario. Another option for the people. I will look out for a flyer or featured promotions and have to stop by again sometime soon.
