The store is fine...... being made to push a cart for one item and being told its mandatory when over half the shoppers don't have a cart.... and the 2 employees fist fighting at the door.... what up with management over there letting employees fight..... the deli has good meat ???? its why I shop there.

The lady at the bakery was wonderful. I went on Christmas Eve to buy some bakery items for my coworkers for Christmas. I requested 2 dozen individually wrapped cookies (maamoul) but they did not have them readily available. The nice lady at the counter went out of her way to kindly wrap each cookie individually for me. I just want to thank her for going above and beyond especially during such a busy time during the holidays :)

10lb pack of onions happened to be on sale, but the onions were very bruised and looked old, not to mention the swarm of flies surrounding the area. The store is poorly air conditioned. Food Basics is next door and I checked to see if it was the same. No flies, good air-con.

I went on opening day with my family and we had a great shopping experience. Incredible selection of middle eastern foods of every variety. I tried their mix shawarma and it was delicious, along with their falafel with tsaziki sauce. Made me feel like I was back in Dubai ????????????

Really good store with a wide selection of goods. They have a really good range of Halal meets as well. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Vegetables and fruits were fresh and prices were competitive too.

First time being there, products didn't seem too fresh, especially greens were in their last day or two. Everything was too pricey. Ready to eat, nut and dessert sections seemed good. In my opinion same/similar stuff, more fresh and much cheaper in Produce Depot. It was a long drive, wouldn't go again.

The vegetable and falafel are fried in overused oil and its taste is unmistakable. The food, in general, is greasy and has too much oil. The sweet section is expensive and not tasty. Most of the staff and the management lack of courtesy. Unless there is an item that I can't find in other stores, I won't bother myself to go there.

What a clean and organized place. It has all the mouthwatering food as you walk around the store. They have a huge display fridges full of cheese, olives, pizzas, pies and salads...etc. However, the Halal items are widely available and mostly not available at other stores in Ottawa. And the fresh vegetables section is One of a kind. But my only comment is their system is not really updated with all barcodes because half of the items we bought has no barcodes and the cashier struggled to enter them manually one by one.

Has to be the cleanest and best looking grocery store in Ottawa. Has a great selection of food and decent prices. Their hot and ready platters are epicly portioned for their price at $11.99.

Bad customer support. A piece of advice...don't place the nastiest employees in customer support. Too many bad visits now. I will only use them as a "specialty" shop on occasion. Other grocery stores are better stocked for most goods. So what if they don't have a $35 per kilo baklava centre. I think Loblaws is much better.

For the second time and it only happened in Adonis, I paid for some stuffs but when I came home I don't see those things that I paid for. So, I am sure something is wrong with cashiers because it never happened to me in anywhere else.

Bought meat on multiple occasions and it doesn't seem fresh. Would advise everyone to avoid if possible. Different people cannot be complaining about the same thing if there is no truth to it.

Brand new location that just opened but so far it's wonderful. Great produce section with a huge selection of fresh fruit and vegetables! If you are a cheese fan you will love their selection. Also a real deli, fish and butcher counter. And a pastry counter - I'm addicted to their Bakaclavas(sp?). Adonis caters to Mediterranean style foods but also has standard brands. There are processed foods but much less than other stores. Price wise - think Farm Boy. Service so far is good. A little crowded and chaotic at the counters but it should die down once people get used to it.

Not coming back. Although I love shopping here, there are better alternatives. Employees and manager are rude and unprofessional. They are the worst at customer service... a lady which is supposed to be the manager is SO ignorant. I asked her a question about an item and she looks at me like I'm crazy and then says "we don't have it" that's all she said. They are always gossiping in arabic at the cash #1, god knows about what.

One of the best places locally to shop. I hate shopping so much, I get angry and frustrated and just have an extreme dislike for shopping but somehow Adonis doesn't make me feel that way. I love the setup they have there, the cleanliness, design, assortment, staff, cashiers not always packets like food Basics next door. They even run contests every now and then, and they are honest contests which are honoured. Absolutely love this place and its amazing staff. Thank you guys for coming to Ottawa, long overdue. FYI, their in house bread is killer good! Get it hot and it's edible without anything on it!

I hope the Canadian inspection agency inspects their food safety. I just bought minced meat for grilling, stuffed vine leaves, and Kobebah, and they were all bad . The meat has definitely gone bad. We took one bite and couldn’t finish it. The grape vine leaves are sour meaning they are very old and not refrigerated and I found a piece of paper in the kobeba while my some was eating it! Disgusting! What a waste of money!!!!! I find the Gatineau Adonis branch much better though just to be fair. Also I bought okra and it was fine.

A nice Lebanese grocery store. You can buy the best vegetables and fruits there. Sometimes a bit pricey. Meat and Fish are the best there. The cheese and cold meat counter is less served.. they have one person operating and it’s not enough. They always want you to take the ready packed cheese but they have not put all sorts of cheese there.. Arabic dessert is good and well served. There is a great employee on the counter there. I guess her name was Suzan who is such a help and is very welcoming! Cakes are not the best tasting although they look delicious! As for the cooked meals they have, they deserve a 5 stars and a medal for that! It’s the best! They served the best warm soups in the past on daily basis and that was just great! They stopped doing that! I hope they do that again! Overall experience is good. I wish their prices were a bit well positioned otherwise I would have done all my shopping there. Now I shop for some items only at their store and for the rest, I go to Walmart and I save a lot!

Their hot bar has some of the best bang for your buck food in Ottawa, especially the falafel platter. Only downsides are the speed of service and lack of consistency which greatly take away from the experience.

Middle Eastern store. Nice place if you want to find some Middle Eastern local or specific items. There is local sweet dishes, traditional species, halal food, fresh meat & fish. Additionally there is a prepared hot food, such as: falafel, tubule salat, humus and etc. Big, nice, clear super store. P/S: I found there some sales, but they have the average prices.

This was my first visit to Adonis but definitely not my last! A wonderful variety of foods to choose from. Today, I picked up some fresh fruit and vegetables, some olives and cheese, a tray of seasoned chicken and some treats from the bakery. A wonderful Super bowl feast for my family! Bon appetite!

Adonis Ottawa is a spacious and convenient store. Wide and bright aisles. Large selection of products including European and Middle Eastern. The baklava was delicious. Fast service at the checkout. Large parking for cars. I have a positive impression from the first visit.

If you are a casually dressed young male, you will be asked to leave your backpack on the counters. There won’t be anyone watching for your bag because they don’t care about your stuffs getting stolen if they think you are a thief. There were some nice discounts but there were only 4 cashiers and lines were insanely long (around 6-7 groups of customers waiting on each line). Not a pleasant experience.

The bakery staff also messed up our order, but that's fine; we are humans, and making mistakes is in our DNA. Three things, fresh pita, hummus and pickled turnip. That is all I come here for. It does get crowded at times in this store, especially near the prepared items. It's pretty much a dog eat dog world in that department, so be prepared to get pushed around and bumped into. Checking out is not the most joyful experience, and cashiers could be a tad friendlier,

Every time I go there, I was asked to leave my bag pack on a cart beside the door. Nothing expensive in my bag but I just hate to be treated like I am a thief. Some prepared food is way too expensive, like the flat chicken. Good thing is that the groceries are quite cheap and fresh. I always have a bag pack with me when going to grocery store, so I go there only when I couldn’t find something at the food basic next to it.

I'm not sure the COVID measures and store capacity are respected. You have to take a cart into the store but they're not disinfected. Too many people in some aisles. Very good variety of almost everything though. Prepared foods are hit and miss. Good selection of meats and sausages. Better earlier during the day than in the afternoon.

Whenever chicken is on sale it is gross. There is still skin and feathers on it. The meat pies have gone down hill to. The topping are old like they used leftovers. The bottoms have so much flour it is not edible. The staff at the pre-made food and take out counter are slow and rude.

Very unique huge supermarket with tons of middle East food. Vegetables are fresh and nicely priced. Meats come with so many varieties. They even have a large Lebanese bakery, a olives and nuts department, fresh seafood department and a Lebanese grilled food counter selling shawarma and roasted chicken. Amazing!

I got a whole fish and had bad food poisoning. I threw up after eating it! They bring everything frozen and stuff are not fresh at all. Be careful with fish and meat or any food you buy. If you like to buy fresh and trustable quality food, I don't recommend this store. You can find better quality fiid and cheaper in other stires as their price are not fair es well.

I like the store and I noticed that the management have done all the necessary steps to make sure staff and customers are safe. But yesterday I saw at the entrance the young employee wasn't disinfecting the grocery Cart once they were collected from parking lot and this should be fix. Also, I noticed an employee open the spaghetti box and throw them to the ground before putting them on the shelf. I work with Public health and this little things should be corrected.

Impossible to social distance, and no one here even tries (customers and staff). Store is packed and they force you to take a cart, I guess to help space people out? Great produce sales and quality is often above expected for sale priced items. Bought ground beef on sale yesterday and came home with a 7lb package to discover it was only red on the outside and a tiny but on the inside, more than half was old and grey.

Great location, lots of fresh produce, baked pastries, fresh salads, hot food. Ask to have your food warmed in the stone oven. If you are looking for an alternative to Farmboy I suggest Adonis!

This was a second cake we got from this shore that ruined our event, first time was a pistachio cake 3 weeks ago and that was as bad as this one . We gave them another chance and that was even more disappointing. I got his for my kid birthday and as soon as I cut it I understand that I made a big mistake. No one ate it after having a bite into it and it was just ruined the birthday party. When you charge $35+tax for a cake at least have some respect for your customers and don't sell a frozen ,stale cake. I go there for shopping one a week ,other products are good but cakes you should avoid , do not trust the person behind the counter they will tell you it's fresh baked.

This store is Amazing! And worth the drive! There are so many things that make this store very different than your normal grocery experience. The store has such a variety of brands, and so many fresh experiences, from the fish counter to the hot food selection, this store has something for everyone. I was impressed with how well the store is laid out, the uncluttered feel and the fantastic selection. This store is worth the drive if and you will need time to fully explore all this store has to offer. I was very impressed!

I was at checkout paying for a few items and my friend helped push the prepaid groceries (stuff we bought at another store) through. There was a female cashier who served me and she was very racist asking him, "Did you pay for those?" Um....if we were going to steal food items common sense tells you we wouldn't go all the way to the checkout lane to purchase some goods. I think sensitivity training is a must at this store. Employees need to stop assuming that certain minority groups are more likely to steal than others. It's not good for business. That's why I'm no longer coming back.

We picked up shawarma sandwiches and both got sick that same night with food poisoning symptoms. I watched the workers play with their masks and then touch food, touch all kinds of surfaces and not change their gloves... They need better food hygiene. Avoid this place.

Always liked their food. But extremely disappointed today. At the cake counter, I have specifically asked the attendant if the pistachio cake was freshly made today and without blinking she said Yes. So I bought it. It was a special occasion at home but cake was stale, we ended up throwing cake in the garbage. Meat pie was not up to par. Never ever will buy food from there. Dishonest.

As a Lebanese I don't recommend they're prepared food!!! We bought baklawa from this store yesterday and it's GARBAGE. I didn't eat but my friend did and it's been 2 days now that she's been sick to her stomach. We are Lebanese and we know authentic Lebanese food and this sooooo far from Lebanese food!

Very nice place relatively clean. However if you go there on Monday and buy cooked food there are big chance it s from Sunday and not fresh as what happened to me and i had to throw it. Be aware of mark down. Sometimes are regular price, or could be expiring soon if not already expired. Staff are hit or miss; some are very good some are moody.

I'm writing in regards to the shawarma and only that. The first time I bought it, it was pretty good. The past few times were terrible. The chicken is super dry, there were no potatoes, no hummus?? The price is decent, but you pay for what you get. I'd rather pay the premium and get it at Shawarma Palace.

A nice store especially if you are looking for halal options. The meet price is a bit cheaper $. The produce is fresh and affordable. Their fish is awesome. You can have it grilled or fried; It will take about an 45-60 mins to get it ready though.

Nice store, but with an overly-aggressive and even physically aggressive (in the age of covid no less) guard at the door. He’s difficult to understand as his command of English and Arabic leave something to be desired. Since I do NOT want some stranger touching me, I’ll avoid the store, and advise those with compromised systems to avoid it as well.

They used to have nice lebanese pork/beef makanek and very nice marinated pork cubes. No more pork as per the butcher and the meat fridge is halal only. I guess they decided who's their clientèle and it's not everyone.
