review date: november 5, 2021 customer service dates: nov. 5, and ongoing since 2019 i am a fortinos guy; (been shopping there ongoing since 1989 as a 14-yr old) however i will give this a fair, objective review of longo's grocery store @ cornwall rd, oakville. the longo's location has good parking and is very well kept, inside and out. signage and design inside the store has a warm, european feel to it, much like fortinos would. positives: -good selection of commodity grocery items, fantastic produce and good quality hot food items. i would give longo's the edge over fortinos when it comes to produce quality. ???? -store has a hot food and fresh bakery section. -cold beer and limited coolers up for grabs. -friendly staff overall, in all my shopping experiences at the store. willing to go that extra step for you. good representation of what longo's strives to be about in terms of customer service, in terms of "treating you like family". ???? drawbacks: -good selection of items, although not as expansive as fortinos. -prices here are higher overall than a typical grocery store. prices imo are relative to the affluent surrounding area of southeast oakville. bottom line: i would use longo's again when i am in need to top up on fruits, vegetables and some groceries when i am tight with time between (overtime) shifts at work, before going home to hamilton.

This is the best Longos I've ever been to. I continue to drive out of my way to come to this one. Everything is so organized and super clean and the nice gentleman at the door greeting you with smiling (mask) eyes is a nice touch. Crazy how a welcome at the door changes the entire experience.

STARBACKS Very unpleasant experience. It was 3.30 pm, a few customers, 3 shop attendances one of whom was under the training. The two did not help the poor lady to prepare orders but chatted to each other. I paid for my coffee, waited for 8 minuets and left without coffee because had to pick kids from school. I politely mentioned that I cannot wait any more, for what got the explanation about “training” process. No money, no coffee, no good experience... ????

Really disappointed in this longos location. I bought a couple mangos here that looked like they had some brown liquid dripping from them. I thought nothing of it because it looked like it was only on the outside. When I got home and sliced one open, it was all brown inside. I tried the other one and it was the same. I thought it was an isolated incident but then a little while later I found moldy cucumbers. It’s very disappointing because longos is pricey and the quality sucks.

Honestly, everything is great, workers are so nice, the place is so well organized. But the one problem is the music is so loud, it ruins everything. I'm trying to talk to the worker to get my order and I have to scream at them just to order. It really shouldn't have to be that difficult to put down the music. Will probably not come back unless this is fixed.

Longo's is a great concept and this is one of their newer stores. Produce selection is great and generally very fresh. Their meat department carries lots of cuts and does a pretty good job. They have a great cheese selection and even have fresh store made mozzarella on the weekends!

Loved Longo’s and the Fresh pepperoni pizza. But today, waited 30 mins for freshly made whole pepperoni pizza. This is what I got. Half freshly made and the other half seemed to be French from yesterday and a “used” box? Usually it is 10 mins wait and the pizza is great. Not sure what happened today.

I have to admit I don't always shop at Longo's only because it's not as convenient for me location-wise compare to other grocery stores to where I live. I've been hearing very good things on some FaceBook groups about Longo's and how they are dealing with the Covid 19 so I thought I would give them a try out for my self. I have to say I was very impressed with there cleanness and very high standard of hygiene. They wipe down every shopping cart and conveyor belt after each person they also have lines and arrows in the isles keeping people moving in the same direction. I also found the staff to be extremely friendly and very helpful when I was asking some questions about where to find some things. Really gave me some happiness especially in times like this to see the staff are so kind.

I just had lunch here. The salmon at the hot foods area was the best salmon I’ve ever had in my life. Please tell the chef to never stop making it. I am still in shock over how delicious it was. Definitely 5/5 stars! You guys are now my first choice for Friday lunches. Keep it up!

It is not in my nature to write negative reviews... Unfortunately to address my concerns to the Store Manager and the Oakville public, that the younger staff in this location are very abrupt, rude and have no manners. Please train, coach and develop your staff not to be hostile. My grandmother was yelled at in front of other customers and she felt so horrible. She loves Longo's as well and it really made her uncomfortable. This is Oakville after all. We do not treat others with disrespect here. This is a customer service oriented environment, don't forget that, even though we are in COVID... customer service still exists. It is basic human decency amongst one another. Be kind, be compassionate and be human.

Longos is generally a great grocery store. This one gets 5 stars because of a few things. Location is prime... Right next Harpers Landing and Kids and Co daycare. Parking is always a breeze... spots abound. And the prepared foods bar is delicious... but the big win is the dining area to eat in store. Very nice.

This Longos has a wonderful brick oven pizza which makes the most amazing pizza ever. There's also a nice party room area upstairs for small gatherings and cooking classes. There's also an onsite Starbucks for a quick morning coffee. There quite a selection of produce and organic selection but the prices are slightly more expensive than nearby supermarkets. It's hard to justify the extra cost even though the store is relatively well-kept and clean. There's other options that carry the same items for far cheaper. If you don't mind paying the premium then shop here otherwise there's other things to spend your money on

A few particular dirty employees ruin this location.. A real shame because the selection here is rather good. The particular bad apples are the shadiest grocery store employees I’ve seen in a LONG time - I don’t trust them. They’re going to make somebody very sick someday - don’t let it be you or your kids. Is management paying attention? I have noticed the manager acting bizarre and rude to customers in the past - she could use some people skills.

I agree with the excellent reviews about this store. It is one of my favorites. I must say that during pandemic this is the store where I felt safe and that was the reason where I have been shopping: they made larger space between shelves, made all the signs, someone provided masks at the entrance. The cashiers were always cleaning the place at the register (thank you). The service there is great: people know about the staff and if needed to find anything, ALL the employees are very helpful (it is my experience of over the year). I like also that vegetables/fruit are always fresh there, same about fish/meat. You should try the soups there and deli. Actually all is good here, and the store looks (and it is) very cozy, clean and attractive.

This is a great grocery store. I visit frequently and always find what I need. There are often pretty good sales. Their in-house brand is great value, too! I especially love their burgers and appetizers. Staff are friendly and personable. Lines move quickly and the store is easy to navigate.

I used to like this store and shopped here regularly. I recently ordered from their hot food section and got a rather poor product and experience on a simple sandwich. When I brought it up with the assistant manager of the department a few days later he was more interested in making excuses then actually listening to customer feedback. Buyer beware when ordering hot food at this store you might end up making it again at home. I ordered 2 veal sandwiches with cheese and what I got was a 2 veal sandwiches with crushed buns with no cheese. When I mentioned the cheese again the lady gave me a little container of cheese. Basically had to go home and rebuild the sandwiches and melt the cheese. Absolutely defeating the purpose of ordering hot food. Its good they don't run a restaurant you would be expected to do the meal prep and dishes after !

Just shopped at longos and was appalled by the lack manners. Bakery dept and cashier never thanked me. What ever happened to a simply thank you for shopping. It is lacking big time at this longos.

DO NOT BUY any organic vegetables from this Longo's. Bought some organic broccoli for my baby, went back home to chop them and saw hundreds of black bugs in it! It was simply disgusting! Their organic spinach turned yellow the next day after I brought it also. Seriously my worst grocery shopping experience ever.

We ordered the feature 2-4 person Thanksgiving dinner from Longos. Very dissatisfying. It's like someone poured the salt shaker in the stuffing, gravy, and Turkey. The masked potatoes were tasteless.. Not worth the money. I normally like Longos. But this was sub par.
