This Fruit Store is included in the category of Grocery store.
Excellent selection. Very good service. Friendly staff. A little crammed. Should check out their other location.
Great place for "slow foods", European traditional assortment, great culinary experience, more organic choices. Enjoy!
I love the Russian snacks and food in this market. Their sausage is good and lots of Russian snacks not being seen in other places, cheap and delicious
If it wouldnt be so expensive i would give 5 stars however this supermarket is great for all slavic needs. From semechki to shashlik to kolbasa to kvass yummy market has all of it
The workers speak Russian and should speak English as well to help customers, but overall it's a great store
Best Russian food to get in Toronto. Also many amazing European choices.
Smaller location comparing to the other Yummy market but still big variety of food. Can feel a bit overcrowded at times. Good prices, clean, organized.
Good place if you want to try a food with European taste!
Good place to if you are looking for Russian products or groceries. Prices are acceptable.
Great place with lots of good quality food. You can laterally find everything in there, even some already cooked food.
Great grocery store with amazing ready food department and a great variety of delicious stuff
Robbing ppls pockets. Can't stand these overpriced stores.
Great place to get Eastern European foods, especially Russian/Ukrainian. Pastry/cake section is amazing, much better than other european bakeries. Deli section is far superior to even central Lablaws store. Their salad and prepared meal section is what's this place is famous for. Tons of canned, frozen delicacies including berries and mushrooms that only available here. My only complaint that the space is relatively small and can get really crowded, esp on weekends.
You can buy very delicious russian candies here. And a lot of other European food.
One of the best European stores, very clean, well maintained and plenty of options to get your imported EU products, a bit pricey but it's money well spent.
Very interesting pleace to visit. I am the only non Europen there. Lots of Europen food. Look like a Europen version of T&T.
The food selection is great and staff is friendly for the most part, but the store seems overcrowded. The one on Major Mackenzie is a much much better store. Still, if you are in the area, the deli and candy selection will blow you away.
I love it. Very nice and very fresh food.
My absolute favorite grocery store, they have all the best home country deli and tasty treats options. I love the fact that they now also have gluten free cakes!
One of the best stores in the GTA for Russian food. I love getting black bread and "Doktorskaya" bologna and then eating them in the car in the parking lot! This place is usually really busy, and their prices are up there but not too bad. They have the best sweets selection in the area!
Liers works here Good if you want Russian chocolate ???? or cake salads or some items you can found from here EXPENSIVE VERY MUCH But they are big liers
Nostalgic place for anyone from post-Soviet countries. Locals simply wouldn't understand... However, deli section and hot food department are one of the best in the town!
The best variety of cheese and sausages in Toronto. Lots of delicates over there
Love this place, lots of authentic groceries, every time I visit this part of the city I buy something in Yummy Market
Great Russian selection of products and foods. Fresh bakery goods
Nice and clean store with huge variety of Eastern Europe food and groceries. Everything we got was extremely delicious and staff was very helpful and nice.
A really cool place with a variety of choices ! Finally got my goat butter cream. Also, sushi stuffs!!
Racist/discrimination , rude , I could go on about how the staff will treat you if your not Russian. Expect to be ignored and treated like trash while they serve people all around you and basically skip over you because your not Russian. This store is the most Racist store I've ever shopped in . Worst shopping experience in my 35 years . Never shop here unless you want to be treated like trash . Staff are the rudest in the industry. Worst grocery store by far . Stay away
One of a kind store in GTO. The best place to come for European food. Absolutely delicious store. Love Ready Russian and Central Asian food. I also go to this store as they have fantastic selection of pickles!! Especially pickled tomatoes!
Great selection of deli and meat, the store is clean and the staff is friendly. Always a pleasure to shop here
This store is not conducive of the multicultural ethic that is Toronto. My wife and I entered the store because we had heard about it from friends. Despite the fact that the food itself may have been ok, we felt subjugated to racial prejudice by some of the store staff and shoppers. We are people of colour and in our short visit had people whispering about us, giving us looks, and being simply rude in there gestures for no reason. I can't say I have ever really felt like this anywhere in the Toronto area. It was not a pleasant experience by any measure. I struggle using this work but must in labelling the overall attitude of this store as racist.
For fine foods this is a must try place. Lots of imported good food. Enjoy shopping here and very friendly!
Great selection of European food. Focuses mostly on Russian/ex-soviet imported foods
I always go there to buy high quality food. Good prices and best selection
I swe how you treat shoppers who are disabled or hold medical exemptions
Providing a great choice of European food. Very good section of prepared food as well.
Wonderful place to get food from Post Soviet (USSR) countries.
Amaxing staff. Lots of choices. The staff found an item I was looking for and brought it to me. Very friendly. Lots of things you don't see in other grocery stores. Will go back again. Only downside was small packaging
This is a must to go place for all the Russian community. But on top of this, you can find the best selection of cheeses from all over the world at the affordable price, fantastic quality cold cuts, salami, and sausages. And of course groceries and candies from Eastern Europe. The store is very clean and the line at cash moves fast. Great service overall.
Delicious food and great quality products. However, staff should have been a bit more friendly with their customers. They act lately, like everyone owes them. Especially, women in sausages and meats section. Ridiculous.
Love this store. Great selection, good quality. A bit pricey
Best selection of groceries. Huge variety. Not like your monopolized corporate chain of Metro, Loblaws that all sell the same stuff.
Good variety of food that you could not buy at any other stores, but overpriced.
Got yelled at by the ladies working the deli counter pretty much every time, either because I didn't hear my number or because I said something not quite correct in Russian. The beet salad is really good though. Other hot food items sketchy. Good place to find imported non perishables, and pierogis are cheap to buy here too. I would always stock up on Alenka chocolates!
Lots of great European food options. Hot food, sweets, deli and bakery is so yummy. My go to place for grocery shopping. Reasonably cheap prices compared to other stores . Definitely recommend ????
If you're looking for sour cherries, this place has good prices and excellent quality flash frozen cherries. Great for pies!
Went to buy a traditional Russian honey cake. Lady said they ran out of the chocolate pieces for the "Happy Birthday" message. And she refused to write it directly on the cake for some reason. The most ridiculous thing I've ever heard and completely ruined the presentation of the cake.
Very busy, but have a good selection of cheese, many Russian/Ukrainian products. So if you miss Borodinskyi or Belarskyi bread this is the place to go :) they bake it themselves and it tastes really good.
Excellent choice of East European products. Great prices on their products and produce
Deliciousness - great cheese selection, the smoked mackerel is amazing and the hot prepared food section made me drool. Oh, and the baked goods!
Are're you a fan of Eastern Europe food or just wondering what it might be like? Doesn't matter - you'll find something interesting for you here anyways, guarenteed =)
Great European food options! All very "yummy" :)
Fresh n nice fruits
Nice store. Good food, I wish they would have more locations around GTA! They have amazing bread and ready cooked food
A bit pricey but they have special products!
Just super store, you can find all kind of products
This place is a "go to" for us. They are great at stocking local produce, the cheese and deli sections have an extremely broad selection. Yummy Market caters to the local Russian and Eastern Europeans in the North York area, so you'll often hear Russian spoken, but don't worry, everyone speaks English. If you're looking for high-quality food and very unique options you simply will not find elsewhere, this is the place for you. They now have a beer and wine section, they have a Kantor currency exchange and the have a separate caviar section close to the check out. You'll find just about everything you would at a normal grocery store as well.
Enormous selection of delicious European food - the meat and cheese selection is incredible, and they’ve got one amazing hot foods section as well (no seating due to covid but the quality of the food was legit)
Best prepared food section in a grocery store in the gta and lots of great Russian products.
Good choice of European food, mostly Russian, Ukrainian and Polish.
This is one of the largest Eastern European delicatessen grocery stores you'll find in the GTA (aside from Coppa's). There is a second location in Vaughan as well. Yummy has a huge variety of foods, just as you would find at a regular grocer but with a big emphasis on Eastern European foods. There is a fresh bread section, large deli counter as well as freshly made salads and hot plates you can ask for over the counter in addition to regular grocery isles. There is a ticket system in place to serve customer's first-come first-hand serve at the deli counters. Aside from groceries they have a small pharmacy section and an alcohol section. Everything is fairly priced and the selection is quite big compared to smaller stores (Akiva's, Starsky, Ontario Fresh and Tasty, etc). If you're here you might as well pickup something freshly made such as their Pirojki (potato/cabbage filled pastries) that you can eat right away. I always buy meats and cold cuts here as well as salads right before dinner parties to serve as appetizers and try different ones all the time. They make for great charcuterie!
this store selling low quality meat product, the manufacturer passing through that store inequality meet product because higher traffic then in smaller store, they selling own brand dumplings done from the left over ready to eat food, I purchased meet dumplings, and find there previously cooked meet, cottage cheese over expiration, or about to expire at the regular price, they rude, and not respect people with another languages, only Rossian, they telling people here must speak only Rossian separatist, they supporting the Rossins separatists whose aggression attacking & fighting in Ukraine, Syria and other country SHAME TO THAT SEPARATISTS BUSINESS!
Russian hyper market si expensive
The best deli in Toronto. Must see the store if you are East European, or understand it's food culture. Great quality of dairy and produce. Be prepared for Russian "hospitality"...
Unfortunately, the stuff of Yummy market have been refused to help my friend who was not capable to wear a mask because of his long time suffering from asthma. Shame for their inhuman policy.
Produce its fresh, very clean and organized like it a lot , I think people should visit this place and experience on they're own
Always fresh and a great variety of foods, not only from Russia but from the Eastern European region. The management is aware of consumer preferences here in Canada and are cautious about using MSG/additives/preservatives in their food, they offer a good selection of organic produce. The store is always clean and organised, a pleasure to come back to.
Great variety of food
Really good European food and dishes. Really recommend.
It has some unique foods that can only be found here. It’s quite interesting!
Love this store. It has so many unique items you can't get at regular grocery stores. Great selection of cheeses and kalbasas. Yummy prepared food, baked goodies and smoked fish. And have you seen their sweets isles? Wowie
Good selection of products but customer service could be better.
My overall experience at yummy market wasn't the best, until I went to cash out and I got the cashier Nicole. She was the best cashier I've ever had during my customer experience. No only was she friendly but she just made my day by seeing her. Therefore, you should go to yummy market for this cashier specifically.
When I want to buy adjica I visit this place. Also a lot of other delicatessens from Eastern Europe.
Amazing place to get your Eastern European food fix. But got to agree with some other comments here that some of the cashiers are rude and unhelpful, spoiling the charm of this place.
I like everything about yummy market Good manner and helpful staff, Fresh foods and friuts You can find tasty cheeses, different brands of chocolates and other snacks with high quality here :)
Great selection of European groceries. Lots of fresh produce as well.
It's a fine place, foods from every corner of the world, not just Russia, Ukraine, Israel and Eastern Europe that Russian food stores traditionally have. The staff are mostly nice and helpful, but they seem to be afraid to do or say anything that management might dislike, on a much bigger scale than any regular store. One of them told me they are watched all the time. Some of the staff have an attitude like those sales women the shoppers who grew up in the USSR will remember well.
This is a great place to do your groceries especially if you like cured meats, fresh bread & pastries, smoked fish and other eastern European goodies. The produce is always fresh and the service is excellent.
Used to be good market years ago..not anymore. Very rude and unfriendly staff, especially in the bakery area. Looks like they don't want to work at all, I am so polite and kind all the time, was not busy, not even 1 person there, I asked for pastries with politeness, kindness etc, like always lady made such face...like"what do you want from me? you still want anything?? etc. Horrible. Plus the pastries were very dry and not fresh from display, so pricey , $4.99 pastries, and not fresh. I always buy 12-15 pastries. Came from far and couldn't enjoy them at home. The main reason-the women work there, very unfriendly and rude, lazy and slow. Thank you.
Pretty small store for the present day great shopping experience. Tasty EU foods! Recommend it.
I’ve been here, amazing food.
Absolutely amazing store ???? ????
it is great place for Russian food
I shop 4-5 times a week at Yummy Market on Dufferin for I am in the food industry. They have great produce for North York and usually they have great customer service. Except for today. I was rudely told I am not allowed to take photos with my phone of the products due to privacy reasons. I am not taking photos of people or displays. How am I suppose to shop for someone else if I can't show them the products? Further more they wouldn't even give me the name of the owner. If you are the owner of Yummy Market on Dufferin please contact me for I have never not been allowed to take a photo in a grocery store. I guess I should take our business else where. Its too bad I like supporting the small guys but big box grocery stores win today.
Great selection of European food. Excellent take away food counter. Good sweets and cakes variety. And more.
Neat and tidy, always appealing to come here and buy some food. One of the best grocery stores by far.
Very cosy and clean grocerie store with accent to russian and east European food.
I ve heard that place had expired cakes and when I went I forgot to look at expiry date, I went in 2017 already picked up handful of spices and sauces get home and after few days I notice they have been expired for half year!!! Their chocolate candy also has been sitting on shelf forever, when you open it the candy has a layer of white plaque. Please watch out!!They also sell expired baby products and infested with worms herring
I come here for a great selection of crops, especially the rare buckwheat kind
Great selection of European Foods, helpful and patient service at the deli counter. Many sweets from which to choose. Pretty impressive!
If you need European style food this is place to go, rye bread, buckwheat...also a lot of yummy prepared food ready to go.
The only place in Toronto where I can find a large variety of cottage cheese. The prices are relatively expensive, however some products are unique and worth a visit. The store is well-organized and parking lot is free for the customers.
I loved the selection. Great products (and Milka!) but wow, this place really attracts a bad crowd. Not only the staff, but even their customers were horrible with poor attitudes. A couple customers were harassing me in their language, and the cashier wouldn't speak to me in English either! Unfortunately I can't recommend this place if you're not native to Eastern Europe. Not worth it. I'll probably be back, but only for the German chocolate.
The food is great, the prices are reasonable and the staff are very nice. It does tend to get too crowded on weekends, but I guess that's means they know what they are doing. If you are into Russian food or would like to be served in Russian, this is the right place to go in North York.
Giving one point because of rude behavior by a store´s seller against customer who couldn't wear a mask due to medical exemption. When he replied: he can't wear a mask because of risk of suffocation, she said: they will not serve him in a future. Very sad.
Awesome European market with so many fantastic foods to find and discover. Has all the staples you would find in a typical grocery store and could easily shop here for big meals and smaller daily things, too.
This is a great place to get your Russian and Eastern European groceries. It's full of Russian patrons, and for good reason. They have a great selection of pastries, a hot food bar, and desserts and drinks that you can't find elsewhere. It's clean and well run. I love getting the bags of frozen perogies when I stop in.
Good place, delicious food, reasonable prices ????????
Beautiful cake Kyevskiy by Rochen. Recommended.
Convenient location with free parking. Has everything you need if you are looking for a Russian style food.
It has its ups and downs. It is a great place for vegetables. The delicatessen is sadly hit and miss. It you are looking for Russian chocolates and candies, it is a wonderland, even though I am not personally a fan of such confections. A very good selection of grains, like buckwheat and cream if wheat, which is oddly labelled as semolina, and the English best before date does not match the Ukrainian recommendations. I wonder who provides the English labels for the imported products.
Not very big ..but eniugh..wonderful place to shop...huge variety of iventory ...specility..cheese butter cream..wine beer to candies ..vegies ..meat...very friendly..welcoming staff..prices..not high..lot of car parking space...surrounded by Russian store..again wonderdul place ..to enjoy shopping..
Just Love this place - for real bread, for all local and European foods and for all they cooked there + fish is always and really amazing !!!
Absolutely love this store. The selection is big and the food is always fresh. The Eastern European style bread is delicious. Big variety. Baked good are very good. Deli, cheese and cold cuts are phenomenal, huge variety and always fresh. Lot's various types of fish, from dried to smoked. Love their smoked salmon and sturgeon. Red caviar is very fresh and delicious. Fruit and veggies are very good, flavorful and tasty. Freshly prepared food is amazing. Hard to pass and not to buy something. Lot's of Eastern European specialties like pryaniki, sukhariki, kvas, pelmeni, vareniki/pierogi and many more. Russian ice cream is a must try. So good! Highly recommend this place. Be prepared to spend a lot as everything is so good there. DON'T GO THERE HUNGRY!;-) P.S. Some cashiers could be a little friendlier but overall the staff that works there are very pleasant to deal with.
Nice and neat place selling variety of Russian groceries. Great cooked food and Russian candies.
Great collection of quality foods from Europe and Asia for reasonable prices. They also have some great fresh made dishes for a quick meal.
Good location, prices decent. First time buyer good customer service. Produce people nice. Deli people nice. Nicole the cashier who check me out was so smiley and polite. I notice all cashiers very smiley, shela who I talk to as well. it very good environment. Everyone answer all my questions. Would come again- all staff so nice it makes experience so good!
Employees of the bakery who work in direct contact with open foods are not wearing face masks and contaminating the food with bodily fluids. No Covid safety procedures in place.
Amazing food but unfortunately Soviet era service.
My go to spot to get poppyseed danishes, deli meats and eastern european hot dishes. They have a very full candy isle with tons of variety.
Great selection of Russian / Baltic / Eastern European items. Many things that are harder to find or more expensive downtown. Nice selection of dairy. Great rye breads. Delicious takeaway counter.
We love cakes, sweets and the whole bakery section is just awesome. Thankfully yummy market isn’t that close to us, otherwise we would be stopping by every single day for pastries ????????. The rest of their store has a very big variety of products. Sometimes so much that you spend too much time deciding what to buy. Do note that it is more expensive then other stores, but a very good experience anyway. And the store itself is always clean.
They have foid from all around Europe. Mostly Russian. Even Polish food and Armenian food are there. There is also Italian food.
Great choice of ethnic products, but the quality of the prepared food is not great.
Best store to buy any Russian food. Great prices for the products. Lots of parking available. All staff speak both Russian and English depending on preference.
Fantastic supermarket. The selection of salami is only one of many reasons why I drive there every other week. Cheesecake bars, candy, some authentic Russian foods. I don't know what I would do without it.
The shopping carts aren't sanitized, and they require putting in unclean coins into the carts to use them. Avoid this store unless you want to come down with coronavirus, and you want to be treated like a juvenile delinquent who might steal their carts.
My all time favorite to get all the foods I’m nostalgic about. Just gotta be careful not to spend all day chatting with everyone you know! Great variety of European or slavic foods
Love this store. Great variety and selection of fresh and delicious food you can't find anywhere else. Highly recommend.
A wonderful place that truly CARES about the health & welfare of customers & workers alike!
Best place I have ever been to for Eastern European food delicacies
Great food, especially deli department and all Croatian sweets. We love that we can purchase products from our home country in a store near by!
Unknown to many Torontonians this place has the best collection of cold cuts, suasages, cheese, pastry and baking goods. Oh and they've got beer too.
Love their selection of prepared food and Easter European delicacies. And bread.
If you're looking for authentic Eastern European foods and fine teas at competitive prices, look no further.
Great supermarket for Western Europe products! Tons of candies, teas, canned food, meat & cheese deli, fresh salads & tons of food to go!!!
Got some pickled tomatoes, apples from here, the quality could be better. Fudge and chocolates were pretty good though.
Good quality and yummy products!!! Highly recommend...:)
Polish stores are hard for me to access but this is a nice alternative. It has a huge selection of Russian food and candies, but also a bit of a selection of Slavic foods. Their deli is great and just what you would hope in a European store. Also a hot food take away option. Just make sure to take a number at the deli because they might ignore you until you get a number. Even if its empty.
Love shopping at Yummy Market. Great produce and take away buffet ????
Always come here to get some Russian deli! Wide selection of bakery and deli. The service is proficient, too.
Great food, fresh and tasty. Fresh bread, great selection of cheese and sausages and salami, candies and fresh meats. Average, not-so-friendly service.
Has a variety of European foods. My family mainly shops here for Russian food that isn't found in regular supermarkets. I find that the produce is fresher here.
Best place with traditional European food and exceptional quality. Highly recommend it.
First of all half of the products there are expired or about to expire. Where else can you find a pack of tea that is expiring in 2 weeks? Or expired cookies for kids? Just nasty. Horrible service if you don’t speak Russian, whenever my friends want to try some Russian food, I have to feel super embarrassed when we go to this store. Unfortunately there are not many places where you can find food from back home, so most of us have no option but to deal with that. But the owner should be embarrassed of his business.
Great and very different food (can't find in any other stores) as well as great cooked food. But a little bit pricey:)
A taste of Eastern Europe in Toronto. I'm a regular at Yummy Market on Dufferin and Finch. There I can find exquisite stuffed fish, grilled salmon, nice cheesecakes, fresh bread and danishes, cookies, fresh fruits, you name it, Yummy is yummy!
Russian, Ukrainian, and other European grocery and the ready to eat.
A nice eastern European supermarket. Interesting choices, especially meats, cheeses and cooking oils. Some good prices, others not great. A worthwhile change of pace from my regular grocery spots.
Unfortunately I have had experience with less than great customer service, borderline rude. And professional experience with prejudicial practices that I would expand on if not for fear of causing upset for the parties involved. I was there with my mother today, in her city uniform, and as we left she remarked on the especially unfriendly treatment. BUT as a customer, despite this, I love their selection of teas and have noticed the quality of their produce and food is very good. The selection is great. I remind myself that my experience with those select individuals should not dissuade me from coming here, and that those individuals are not representive of the whole. People should be treated with respect until they give you cause to do otherwise.
Nice Russian food store
Fantastic selection of authentic Russian, Ukrainian and Middle Eastern cheeses, meats, pickles and frozen foods. Staff are friendly.
Great place to buy European and some middle Eastern foods. Must visit
I go out of my way to visit this market occasionally, when I yearn to stock up on imported Russian, Polish and Jewish confections. The veritable Slavic food emporium of Toronto!
Authentic eastern European food. Deli choice is so large and smells so tasty it's hard to leave. Their cheese, dairy and sausages section is out of this world, literally.
Best choice of sausages of all kind, smoked meat and fish, huge variety of European brands cheese, friendly staff, clean, well-organized, weekly and end of the day discounts. Highly recommend ????
Its convenient and has good quality products yet a little pricy. I love their bakery section so much.
Best dessert's & wide selection of pickled food's(vegetables, fish, fruits,, varieties of candies, cookies and chocolates
Great variety of East European products and ready meals
This is my favorite store to go to. I do admit it's expensive in some of the things they sell. The things I buy I believe it's worth the money. I don't go here often but when I do I make it worth the trip. From buying my favorite sweets to buying my favourite Salmon this is the place I go to. It's really good and worth it which is amazing. They even sell good fresh cheese which I have bought many times different kinds and pickedy favorite ones. The employees are very helpful and nice and the store atmosphere is really good. If you want to go to a Russian store start with this one it is really a good option to go for shopping and getting good quality food like Salmon. Overall I suggest people to try it one and check out the candy section pick your best flavour.
If you haven't gone, you're missing out!
I love their double yolk eggs! Only thing they don't have them very often ????
One of the best places in Toronto to buy Russian and other Eastern European foods in terms of quality and price.
Highly recommend for Russian-speaking community. Great selection of European deli. Delicious salads and hot dishes.
Great variety of products, always fresh and nice! The store is busy though, many workers with carts on the floor sometimes make it difficult to get to the products and they would rarely give way to customers.
Expencive, but carries lots of products similar stores don't. Great selection of baby food products!
Too expensive ! I could by a lot of similar stuff in Polish, Ukrainian and other Russian stores for almost half price less then here! I will not go there again.
I used to love this store but since a few months ago they turned into police store that does not care about their customers or their rights or freedoms nor medical exemptions! After being their loyal customer for more than 10 years they kicked me out of the store for not wearing a mask in spite of my explanation that I can not wear a mask for medical reasons. They literally chased me out of the store like a pack of wolves. I never stepped back into their store ever since.
Excellent variety of specialized European Russian food , very small space
this is not at all a european market, but rather the best russian store ever. almost everything here is russian. so 5-star russian store, with big deli and dry goods section also.
Great place for all groceries. Candies are unique I always visit this place. Just driving 45 km.
Went to most of the grocers in the area and the Yummy Market is by far superior. Love the variety of foods, the hot and cold options. Great prices, amazing caviar.
This is one of the best stores which helped us through the pandemic times! They have amazing choice of prepared food, don’t miss to bring home several prepared dishes over the weekend, you’ll love them for a great weekend feast, or later in …
A vast selection of Eastern European food. It gets very busy on Friday afternoons and weekends, and they sometimes sell expired items - always check the expiration date!
Good variety of products. Some products are really bad quality though. Customer service is good.
Terrible food quality, I would never buy from this store, and strongly suggest to everyone not to go to Yammy Market. There are several good east European stores in Toronto, but unfortunately, Yammy market not one of those. Yammy Market is number one on the poisoned and spoiled food list. NEVER BUY FROM YAMMY MARKET it's POISON!!!
A great Eastern European grocery store, a lot of great products that I've been missing after coming to Canada. This place reminds me of home.
Great food, European style. Very good prices also, and very fresh food.
We appreciate the fact that food that I remember as a kid is available here in Toronto.
If you love Russian foods, this is it all traditional delicatessen. Pricey but worth it.
A crazy amount of candies, an assortment of cream cheese, cakes and pastries. Pirogies, meats you name it they have it. If you are looking for things from mother Russia then you have come to the right place. The staff are courteous and they have a nice assortment of fruit as well. Also, The place is wheelchair friendly.
I love the store, many years shopping here. But don't suggest to buy Kievskiy cake! Fake and big fake!
Unlike in many other Canadian stores here I find variety of delicious fish, cheese and sausages, but unfortunately this is a small store and it gets easily overcrowded and noisy. Staff may be impatient and sometimes rude. I like to buy cookies and cakes at a reduced price here.
Very good Supermarket is mostly European products and Russian products!????
very good store but richmond hill location is best
Constantly (every time we visit this store) we find expired and old products on the shelves at this store. It is totally unacceptable. 2 days ago we bought some sweets (loose sweets, not in a box), half of them were so old, we could not eat them. How often do they review the stock for expiration dates?? Do they eat what they sell?
You can find almost everything here for affordable price. Food, snacks, salads fresh and delicious. Makeup, medicine and much more.
I love yummy market every thing is good especially bread
Overall I do like yummy market grocery stores I would say this store is a little older and smaller than the one on Major Mackenzie that store is much nicer than this one
Great place for Russian/European food.. updating me start rating to 5 stars, because they have beer after my local LCBO closes. Stiegel Raddlers for the win!!!
Lots of interesting and unique finds in this european grocery store. An entire section of imported goods.
I am giving 1 star for customer service. This was my first visit to this store today (December 17th, 2020), as I needed specific food for the celebration, but it will be the last for sure. I needed to capture pricing & different varieties of the same products to send photos to my mom, so she can say what is better. And then some girl that works there came too close (covid is still here) & started to talk very rudely to me, that this is private property & photos are not allowed. Sending pictures to my fiancé or mom from store is a regular thing for me, but even if it is not allowed, I believe it can be said kindly, without extra negativity & rudeness. Though, I have no idea why photos of store products are not allowed, it was not explained to me. Yummy Market, you can do better in training of your stuff!
Really good and fast service. Friendly staff. Perfect if you love Russian or European foods! Their kitchen food is delicious !
Great variaty of Russian and European food. Good quality and average prices.
I don't live in the area any more, but whenever I pass by I make a point of stopping and loading up my trunk with loads of tasty foods! Their baked goods are amazing, goes well with their always cold KVAS :)
Not to big but they have great selection of russian, ukrainian and european food.
Please tell your cashier Iryna (red haired lady with glasses) to greet her customers properly. She literally didn't say a word and paid no attention to me. It's Canada, and we don't appreciate customer service like this.
Ethnic Russian and east European cuisine store. Decent variety, most products are fresh.
A great shopping experience with the biggest deli counter in the city. Lots of Russian and East European food and an amazing tea aisle. It's worth the trip
Very nice European foods. Fresh produce and great selection of ready to eat meals.
Number one place in GTA when I am looking for authentic Russian or Ukrainian groceries. Their fresh meat and fish sections are always delicious.
Everyone always looks like they wanna beat my head in with a rock when I'm here. A true Slavic experience.
The nice thing about yummy market is that they carry full product lines so you can find every flavor. I was able to find Schweppes Bitter Lemon. They also have a beautiful bakery and outstanding hot foods table.
I like this store because of a broad variety of east European products, that are fresh and delicious. I frequently do grocery shopping here.
Nice place for back home European food!
Truly amazing place with very wide variety of foods! Lot of types of bread, cottage cheese fish and meat! Love that place!
Good shop with European food. You can also take lunchbox during lunch time. A large selection of products from Europe. Russian, Ukrainian. Polish, Hungarian, Jewish food. We recommend.
The shop is good. You can find all Russian, Ukranian products. However, I found hair in my Napaleon cake . As a result , had to throw everything out. The staff should be careful while preparation.
Large selection of deli cheeses and meats. Pickled everything, and a large assortment of warm prepared foods too.
Fresh food in good assortment, a lot of space for parking (never had of problems with parking), all cashiers working.
Huge variety of European products. Very unique grocery store
I am apprehensive when I visit Yummy Market.
Delicious Russians Food.
Compare to the other branch in Vaughan , this one is small , busy and unorganized. I prefer to drive a little more to get to the other branch in Vaughan .
They have the best quality products and the store, although it is small, is well distributed, the only problem is that the cashiers are not friendly at all
Nice little store, an astonishing variety of interesting non-traditional foods.
Awesome! Lots of amazing food to buy, quite cheap too. I would definitely recommend.
Really good place to buy prepared food.
It's where Russians and ex-communists get their food. Nice place, decent selection, prices are good for staples but higher for specialty goods
Poor customer service. Harsh attitude from the management. I was with a friend who can't wear a mask due to health/ breathing conditions so he was wearing a face shield instead. They refused to serve. Human rights violation right there.
Many European, Eastern European products. Really good for immigrants came from there like me.
Great Russian store with great choice of delis. It isn't this big as the one on Major Mackenzie, but contains everything you might need.
Nice place with mostly Russian food, but sometimes it's very crowdy.
Great grocery store with many Russian and European delicatessen. Good variety of cheeses and even more cured meats, sausages and imported goods. Cashiers move quickly and there’s almost no line on Saturdays. The prepared meals section is ample and in general the place is well organized, good lighting and plenty of parking. I was surprised to find they sell wine. We came here because of the bakery section, delicious cakes.
It is always fun to visit. Staff and cashiers are always super friendly. The store carries a lot of imported good that hard to be found from other stores.
I like the fresh bread varieties, it is better than some bakeries out there. The product selection is good. Great selection of Russian food.
Best deli in town. However it is not without its problems. If you have to deal with customer service you may have be experience. The staff at the customer service desk is unfriendly and uncompromising. For those of us who have moved here from Russia long time ago this experience brings back difficult memories of Soviet era "customer service".
This supermarket is quite well stocked with European products such as sausages, cheeses, breads and pre-cooked dishes. They bake their the breads, cook the popular dishes themselves. The rest of the store are packaged goods. Vegetables and fresh produces are not their strong suit.
Fantastic place to buy Russian food, prices are reasonable and quality is great!
Fave grocery store in Toronto. Makes me feel like home because one of my homes - far away - is Moscow.
Large variety of east-european food. As usual for this kind of deli, it's a bit pricey, but the quality is good. Try theirs eggplant salads!
Not as good as the northern location, it still provides a decent selection of European food with some selection of usual groceries like soft drinks or fresh produce.
This is my go to for Russian food and it has some of the best cheese and dairy products anywhere. The prepared food is just like my mom makes and the cakes and frozen soups are fantastic. Even my mom stopped making pelmeni and buys their store brand frozen ones. The only store that is better and has more variety than this one is the new one they opened up north.
Good amount of different foods! Cashiers should do better to get higher rating! Smile is the key!
Absolutely love this grocery store. Might be a bit expensive, but you get quality products. Also, they sell a lot of items that you won’t find in a regular grocery store. ????????
Great food store. Nice selection, good prices, and lots of Russian/European treats you can't find anywhere else. Turkey pierogies ????.
The deli cutlery department is so lazy, you see the women workers talking to each other for 5 minutes while customers are patiently waiting to be served. They skipped my number and when I confront them about it, they tell me to wait while rolling their eyes and proceed to help this Russian gentleman with a higher number than mine... This is bad service, I don't recommend to anyone.
Helpful staff. Great selection products from former soviet block. To date this is not the best store for fresh produce.
Without doubt, this is my favourite grocery store in the area. Good prices, excellent selection, a lot of products imported from Europe. Nice staff, I've been shopping there for 3 years and everyone is always friendly and professional.
I like their bread and pastries. They have great choice of sweets and teas. I would not reccomend to by anything in their cake section and prepared food section. Pay close attention to product's expiry date. Stuff would never honestly tell you when food was prepared - they will alwas tell you that it was made today, althought it is not always the case. I belive that customer has right to know when food was prepared.
Good russian /east european grovery store with lot of options
Check out the fruits section at the Dufferin store. They know what they are doing. It is a great little store over all!
refused me in service, they disregard bylaw for medical exempt persons. no mask no service. Segregation is their policy.
Great selection and fresh food
Russian-style supermarket, seems to be driving the rest of them out of business. Buy you salted herring and and jellied meat there. Also, a good place for organic milk, yogurt and meat.
Cakes, pastries, breads, My favourite place for freshly cooked European deli style food. The ladies behind the counter are lovely and always fix me the best meal. They really care, feels like mom is serving me a meal. Try the Bourekas. You will love them!!
European food, with fresh baked bread, ready made meals and a proper deli
I have been the customer of this store for several years. Their prices are significantly higher than other stores and their customer service is very poor. For the second time I bought some black olives from them (4 packages this time) but when I opened 2 of them both were rotten. I returned 2 other unopened packages but the rude lady who were supposed to address my concerns did not listen to me and refused to refund me for the price of those two remaining packages which I did not open them and the production date was also not expired. The managers of this store need to train their staff to not be such a rude and insensitive to the customers if they care about the quality of their business. I will never return to this store and I left those packages for that rude customer service staff to take it home and share it with her family.
Clean and wide variety of products. Lots of cheese, chocolates (european). Pastry is baked right there u was able to buy warm bread and take it home before it hardens. This place is aptly named 'yummy'. Plenty of parking - easy to drive in and out.
Best market in Toronto for taranka lol)
Wide variety of European food and ready-to-eat meals. Good quality, affordable.
I come from Waterloo once a month because of great selection in this store. Today I was especially impressed by how they organized high volumes of customers (31st of December). Thank you!
I had no problem shopping without wearing a mask at LCBO and Wholefoods where I was treated with respect and understanding. But, unfortunately, Yummy Market doesn’t see or treat their customers as individuals anymore, they only see masks. I was refused service because I was not wearing a mask, which I can’t wear because of my medical condition. This is disgusting! I am sure they don’t care, but I am not shopping there anymore.
Shop here regularly. This is a different type if grocery store stocking a very interesting selection of Eastern European, Russian and Slavic items. It's Russian principally staffed and as such they short and to the point. We've noted a slight decline in the Dufferin store, and the Vaugn store in a bit of a trip. The produce is better at Dufferin. However Vaugn is larger and has more variety. Still we have many favorites throughout, including the Perogies and Deli. Its a great deal of fun to try different foods and many have become go to for us. It's crowded much of the time at Dufferin and its narrow aisles throughout. A definite enjoyable shopping experience.
Yummy market has some of the most amazing East European delicacies and foods. They also have lots of Russian food products and ready to eat meal choices. There fruits are always fresh and yummy. There deli section is amazing. The have a hidden jewel of a wine and spirits corner . All in all it's a one stop shop.
Went there for the first time today to buy some US currency. I picked up a few items while I was there. The checkout was very slow, (I guess the girl was new.) Somehow i missed the Western Union to the right when I first came in. The girl at the cash didn't know where the currency exchange was. I went to the customer service desk and waited and waited...no one was there. The lady at the cosmetic desk right beside customer service seemed completely oblivious or could care less that people were waiting there. What kind of service is that? Is she unable to grasp that customers exist outside of the corner she was working in and that she is a representation of the company? I went and asked the lady at the cosmetics desk where the currency exchange was, she rudely told me "in the hall." By the time I went there it was 3:08pm and the desk closes at 3:00pm. Very irritating. Anyways, if you're Eastern European you'll probaby feel right at home here. I personally don't see my self returning.
Excellent bakery, deli and the best dairy! Very good cooked and prepared food and European style cakes.
Really nice grocery store with very unique food! Most people who work there are russian.
Good choice of eastern European products, yet basic groceries are a bit pricey.
Good places for east European food and delicatessen. Love stopping in this and other location for the Russian potatoes salad, rye bread, salami and many other yummy things. Store manages COVID well. I often see line ups at the entrance. However, it usually takes no more than 10 min to get in. I try to avoid going there on weekends and holidays as the times go up in those periods. Other than that enjoy and stay safe!
Generally it is good. But the Vaughan location has great selection (apparently). Still worth to shop here
Always a pleasure shopping here! The staff are fast and efficient! The grand selection from the hot deli is fabulous and fresh! The choice European cuts of meat are an excellent choice for any dinner table. There is a huge selection of sweet from all around Europe. There are very few stores of its kind in the country that carry that selection and quality! I am an avid customer and look forward to my next visit. Keep up the great work!
The selection of in-house foods ready to eat or take out is top notch not to mention its the only place as far as i know of who serves authentic "just like grandma used to make" eastern European food. Love it.
A store that will take you to a magical Russian place. Ailes filled with tasty treats back home delights. Counters full of smoked and cured meats, Atlantic salmon roe and pickeled cabbages. A place to visit and explore if you are goody trying to quench a curiosity.
Love Yummy Market! The store is really clean and organized, staff is very friendly and resourceful! Спасобо огромная!
Staff is usually super helpful, and the selection is outstanding. The quality of produce is amazing and the BREADS are nothing short of heavenly!!!!!
Great European food, helpful employees (many of which speak Russian!), and overall good experience.
This supermarket is fantastic! It sells all kinds of delicious food products from Europe. When I was there the other day I bought several items from Germany all of which I thought I could only purchase in Germany. The produce is of the highest quality, the delivery counter is awesome and the prepared foods counter is very Russian inspired and very Yummy! Terrific store!
Great supermarket filled with Eastern Europe and Russian foods. Nice place and have free parking lot.
Great selection of cold cuts and love their salad and food section.
This is the place you go to get Russian grocery and some other eastern Europe foods. They have very nice salted salmon, herring and other Russian dishes that they make in house. Milk, cream and other goods that are available everywhere are kind of pricy there.
Great choice for yummy eastern european foods, deli and anything you can think of.
Zi best grocery for eastern European food. Fresh meat and wild caught fish.
Great selection of deli meat, cheeses, and European foods. One of my favorite grocery stores in the GTA.
Great selection, good prices. They have a great bakery on site, too.
Lot of European goods. Food very good quality. Take outs -v good.
The Yummy Smetannik has spoiled my celebration.Nobody liked the cake.Children spit it out.I was disappointed by the twist of the original recipe.Well..I will be not getting cakes there anymore..
This is the place where I can find everything what I am looking for starting from grocery ending with skin care products. Every time when I am visiting Yummy Market I feel like I am at home: wide variety of products, the food is excellent, the employees are kind and knowledgeable. I hope to see the same grocery store one day in Sudbury as well.
Love this grocery store! High quality eastern European fine foods. Wide variety of cheeses, deli meats, fish, pastries, fresh cooked foods etc. Yummy's is a foodies gold mine!
Love this place! So much great European and Russian food to choose from, in the past customer service was an issue but things have changed now - people are very friendly. Prices can be a little high but since I don't shop here often, it's usually a treat so I don't mind too much.
I was so delighted to find certain food items I use. Prices are decent. The meat counter and deli area is great! Love the candy section. I just love this store. Lots of parking available.
As an Eastern European, this is my food mecca. I'm like a kid in a candy store every time I come here and I never truly want to leave. If you like pickled things, cured meats, and all manner of canned goods, you'll be at home here. They have a great bread department that is full of interesting combinations of seeds/flours. I just wish their Napoleon cake wasn't so bad.
Yummy Market is amazing! Although the produce section is small-ish, they actually have some of the freshest and best-priced produce I've seen in the city, including lots of local stuff. The bread section is a dream for anyone who came from europe and cries at the mere sight of wonderbread, the deli selection (cakes, cheese, meats, fish, prepared foods) is awesome. AND NOW THEY HAVE A LITTLE BEER STORE! Beer selection is very good given how small the store is, mix of domestics, european beers and local craft. You can buy salted fish to go with your beer, too. I buy a lot of meat for my dog here because they have good prices/selection of stuff like liver, organ meats and turkey necks.
Always lots of selection with great food. The premade stuff is still great, and now they even have some Lardo/Speck. Wish they still had the salmon roe, but maybe they were sold out.
A definite departure when you walk through the doors. If you are looking for your eastern european staples, Yummy is the place to go with aisles of eastern european products.
Disgusting store I don't even recommend coming here not even clean and there's not even cell signal in here I can legit get cell signal in a subway station but not in a store.
The food here is sooo good , particularly the cooked section. The staff are mostly nice, though you do come across the occasional grumpy server. We're all human though whaddayagonnado. My only real complaint is how busy the store always is, but that's just a testament to the quality of the stuff they sell.
Omg I'm being generous giving two stars .. All the product is scattered Have to search the whole store for what u need and it has all odd product I've never seen IT'S NOT A NORMAL GROCERY STORE .. unless u just want odd smelling meat
Dropped by yesterday to get myself a quick lunch from behind the counter deli. Purchased a 2” by 2” of herring under the fur coat salad, which was placed in one plastic container. Purchased a chicken leg, which was placed in another plastic container. Purchased potatoes with mushrooms which was placed in a 3rd plastic container. I asked the clerk to save the environment and not use as much plastic. I also asked to put everything into one container, so I could have a meal on one pate. In return, I was rudely told that there is a stack of plates on the shelf, that can be purchased for $3.99. I went to speak to manager, Anna, mentioned rude service, and my desire to have a purchased meal in one container. She returned with a larger container and sneak charged me $0.99 cents for it in addition to the 3 food items that I purchased. Overall, ended up paying $15+ for a little salad, chicken thigh and a few potatoes with mushrooms. 1. Please find a way to be environmentally friendly. The food items can be easily weighed on parchment paper and then all transferred to a single container. 2. Please educate your deli staff on how to smile and speak with warmth to create better customer service experience.
Yummy Market never dissappoints. The selection of food and quality of it is hard to beat. They also continue improving over time. The assortment is always growing and changing. Customer service gets better and more efficient. Great job, Yummy!
This was the first location for Yummy market stores. Russian deli (or European deli). You can buy here everything from buckwheat and “congestion milk” to Russian cosmetic lines as “Chernii jemchug” and “Chistaia linia”. You can find here traditional meds like Iod, Brilliant green (Zelenka) or Valerianka . Prices are more expensive than No Frills and Walmart, but less than Longos. Product assortment is very close to Highland Farm. Staff speaks English and Russian, usually very polite.
Lots of great Eastern European food. Russian & Ukrainian & Czeck
I like that store - fresh veggies, all kind of food you can buy there. Good service! Clean store!
Amazing Russian grocery store. Great selection of cheese
Im glad to find whole Oat Grain and Rye in the store as well as Pita(Lavash) with no yeast inside! Staff is very friendly! Спасибо, что опять появилась на прилавках зеленая гречка "Жменька", а также полба! :)
If you like East European and more specifically Russian food, it is a nice place to go. They have good prepared food, kosher foods and etc.
I buy organic fruits and vegetables from this market and I am happy with that but yesteday I bought a dark bread and the inside of the bread was raw. Hope the staff will take it into account.
Great selection of European goods. Quick checkouts and fair prices. Bakery and deli are fresh and delicious.
An extensive selection of Russian and European delicacies. One of the largest counters of prepared dishes in Toronto.
It is great to find Ukrainian, Russian, Belorussian or Kazakhstan made products in Canada. I love sweat chocolate cheese and kvas. However, meet here looks a bit overpriced. And of course all of this sold by …
I love this place. I go here with my Russian wife and we get all kinds of delicious Russian foods. Definitely a gem in Toronto.
Great selection of Russian products and delicious bread. My favourite so far is the Rizhsky Rye. I’ve tried the Armenian eggplant salad and the walnut aioli eggplant, both very good.
You can find a lot of eastern European grocery here. I liked the bakery items for sure.
Good place for European goods. Tasty homemade food. A little expensive in my eyes, but this is your option when there is no time to cook.
Really enjoy shopping here. Love the variety of foods and their fresh food is delicious especially the tongue salad. Definitely a recommended place to go grocery shopping.
European food delight! So many cheeses, deserts, meats and hot food options. Prepared Russian salads are always great,l it's of breads, pelmeni, and frozen soups. Yummy market also has a large selection of free Russian newspapers, and a reward system in place.
if you are afraid of the virus then stay home. masks are complete nonsense. viruses have always existed, but now people are crazy. sit at home! My favorite store. I have seen many times sellers ask to keep a distance, but many buyers ignore this, but then they write negative on the Internet about this store.
Good place to buy Russian food , stuff is not so friendly
Awesome place for eastern european groceries with huge variety of meat and sea food delicacies. Deli section has everything you need for lunch or dinner.
Always a treat to come here! Such a variety of foods you don't usually see. Usually hectic, so prepare to take a number to order from the deli/cold/hot food counter.
Best market ever shopped. Perfect food. Once I ordered chicken legs and wings, the lady gave me the legs, I thought she didn't catch the word 'wings', I was like 'never mind' but she actually asked me if I said wings as wells... There is no better services than that.
The level of customer service has severely declined in recent times. I have been a loyal and frequent client of Yummy Market since it opened. I arrived today and saw that all the deli employees were without masks, breathing over the cheeses and meats that they are preparing, all the during the height of this current pandemic. Furthermore, I wanted to purchase some buns and looked for tongs or gloves to pick one up. I did not find either. Therefore I sanitized my hands and took one. After this, an employee from the bakery department started to yell at me rudely that I must call an employee to pick a bun rather than doing so myself. I asked that instead of yelling she could come over and assist me with the bun, which she did. However, although she was wearing gloves, she was wiping her nose and not wearing any mask. I stated that I will no longer purchase the buns, after this the employee would not leave me alone and followed me at a distance of 20 centimeters. I wanted to resolve this issue with the manager on duty while keeping a safe distance between us, but she behaved in the same manner (speaking to me rudely and refusing to keep distance between us). She stopped acting in this manner only when I threatened to turn to city and provincial authorities because of their lack of sanity and creating an unsafe environment for the public. The majority of the employees were without masks and gloves and did not keep a safe distance from clientele. I do not recommend anyone visit this chain of stores during the COVID-19 pandemic if they do not take safety issues seriously. I am upset due to some of Yummy Market's employees' behaviour, negligence and lack of regard for the public's health. I attempted to contact Yummy Market's management and this did not help, the only thing that they did is somehow hide my Google review from the public. Today, on the 25th of April, I once again visited the store to see what has changed since my previous visit. I saw that nothing had changed. The staff continues cutting the meats without masks and do not maintain social distance during this pandemic regardless of the conditions mandated by the government. In the meantime, those who visit remain at risk and I will write to all relevant authorities to cease this sort of practice. The manager I attempted to explain the situation to, and the one who was rude to me, was Yuliya and the owner who refuses to make the proper adjustments is Alexei. This is how they treat their loyal customers who have supported them since they opened up.
What a great store to shop! The assortment of foods is amazing!
As for me this store - an excellent source for most of my needs. Thank you
Good Europian food, good prices, huge choice of everything, excellent deli section. Their choice of cheeses and sausages will make you cry. Everyone wearing masks. Safe.
I like the food, there is almost everything up to every taste, the only minus is a small place. You can hardly move around if there is a crowd.
Great place to get Eastern European/Russian food. The veggies here are better than average. The deli, patisserie, salad, and hit food counters really make this place stand out. Everything looks and tastes great. As someone who's not familiar with Eastern European cuisine, it's loads of fun just getting small orders of things to try at home. Warning: their dairy products (ex. Olivier salad and cannoli like pastries) seem to have way more lactose in then than other similar products. The smoked salmon is particularly good here.
A wide range of cheese selection. Great place for especially Russian products.
Lot's of choices for Russian, Ukranian, Belaryssian food. They also cook and bake in house. Best to avoid going there during holidays - it's very crowded.
Great collection of European products with a big emphasis on quality Eastern European items. Excellent facilities and servise too.
Everything (almost) for all your East European delicacies needs.
One of the best supermarket in Town.
Unbelievable, they increased their price 25 to 35 % almost on all products in last two weeks . It’s shocking how government allowing them !!! Save your money and go other place unless you are really want something special Russian and don’t care about the price .
Most of the food was good, but the chicken Kiev was raw in the centre.
Wonderful store for Russian and East European foods/groceries. Super nice selection and very helpful and friendly staff . Good Euro deli and smoked fish/ caviar selection.
There are so many European snacks and bread, a very nice grocery place to go!
One of my most favorite eastern European food stores in Toronto. Can be pricey, but it's worth it.
When my grandmother passed I thought all of her amazing food was lost forever. Yummy market has the pilmeni and fried perogies I remember from my childhood. Really good hit table and salad table. Big deli and really everything you could want.
I'm happy I don't live nearby this place, otherwise I'd balloon. It can become very addictive. Great variety of Eastern European foods and all kinds of goodies: Breads, Nuts, Cheeses, Sweets, Smoked fish, Salmon, Chocolates, Salads, cooked, warm Food ready to eat... Great place for groceries. If you haven't tried, absolutely give it a try.
Very welcome place. Great food, large portions, we couldn't finish it. Reasonable price.
I LOVE shopping here. Sure it can get packed tight in there but they carry items you cannot get elsewhere. I drive from Guelph soley to shop here about once every month or two. Just about all the employees speak Russian and English (it is geared toward Eastern European clientele) so if you prefer to practice up on that, you can get a little practice in while ordering your various cheese, meats, cakes, pastries and premade foods. They have store made bread you cannot get anywhere else that's quite good (Borodinsky Rye is great btw) and there is typically samples left out for people to try. Not sure what else to say... Check it out if you're in the area. You might find something that piques your interest.
Great variety of food, fresh deli and meats. They speak many more languages other than Russian!
Any popular food from other countries is found here and it can be busy at times and lines can be long
We like the food and its selection from Yummy Market!
Hi just finished shopping at yummy market my experience was horible. Why? I asked very politely a cashier a question and she responded to me so rood. Completely unprofessional poor of training. I felt like I am in a third world country. I wish I could speak Russian and tell something sweet in Russian.Have a nice day.
The best Russian food you've ever seen! !!
Went to buy a specialty product on Saturday. Wasn't available. Also purchased asparagus. Didn't check the bottoms. Was totally rotten. Other than that good variety of imported and local products.
People!!! Please check carefully your receipts before you leave this store. I bet you will find some surprises there. And please check expiration day on each item which you put in your shopping cart
Went there for some freshly baked bread, organic sour cream, canned fish. Always packed
Customer service is not the best but full of international food hard to find. Fresh baked, cheeses and fruits.
Good choice of meet/fish deli
Smaller version of their Major Mac location. Very clean and well run. They have an entire aisle dedicated to chocolate. It's impressive. Sometimes I visit the store with my kids just to buy chocolate. Check it out. Great fresh pizza dough
great market. giant selection of fine russian foods. Good prices. Nice service. Vlad is the best!
Neat European store, lots of parking space, recently renovated
Amazing eastern european bakery with a large variety of products you might not find elsewhere. A great bakery with good savoury items and sweet pastries. Lots of smoke fish. Great place to get frozen cheesecake/quark bars with a ton of variety. Overall the employees here were really nice and willing to answer questions. I do think some of the savoury baked pastries were a tad bit overpriced for the amount of filling.
Caviar, bulk pickles, huge cheese selection, great prepared food selection, European candies, great produce !
If you are considering to go there these days. Take a note of one of the strangest “rules” I could ever see
5 stars as always. The Skandinavian salad is my favourite. The rye bread with sunflower seeds is amaising!
Welcome to USSR. Overall a good store. I’d be happy to see friendlier staff, but the quality of food is good
The best bread I have seen in the city, but overall this store is overpriced compared to other stores like Nofrills or Food Basics.
Yummy market pls come to Ottawa, we would love this type of store in Ottawa. Big and with lots of choices. Reminds me of a time spent in Bishkek, Tashkent, Moscow and St.Peterburg. Hmm the atmosphere, even the air was imported from old soviet union market. Old babushkis, asking what you want in broken english. lol. good old times.
This store is so tiny and no physical distancing is followed. Some people at the prep food and deli are not friendly at all. I cannot send to this store my English speaking family because if you don't speak Russian there your chances to be helped are minimal. A lot of employees cannot speak English. In terms of variety it is hit or miss. They very often have not enough Tuma cheese (unsalted), had not consistent supply of lavash (flat bread). I noticed that they bake bread very late and put it on the shelves hot around 11 am - 12 pm. When it is that hot it cannot be sliced and I would appreciate if fresh bread would be baked closer to the opening time instead of the mid day. Somehow just before Easter 2021 they managed to bake not enough Easter bread and customers were SUPER DISAPPOINTED. It is not affecting me directly, but I saw a lot of people approaching employees and wondering why 2 days before Easter there is no Easter bread. Dear Yummy market owners, it is your bread and butter, literally...you should have been prepared for this seasonal demand for Easter bread better. Also, I would recommend to work closer with your suppliers in the way you would get continuous supplies of cheese, flat bread, etc.
Beware! They sell produce in vacuum packs that gets rotten inside unopened pack way before "Best before" date. Smoked fish in vacuum pack was kept in refrigerator got rotten a week before "Best before" date. Customer service does not care and does not refund.
I truly liked this shop. You could find fruits from homeland ????
They harass disabled person, made her feel like a criminal and told her to leave the store due to her disability. Absolutely disgusting place.
I used to go here all the time but it get very expensive over the years. They have great products but prices are high than what they used to be.
Pretty interesting experience for me as I'm not Russian. Some pretty good stuff too. They have really good packaged spice selection for cheap. Stuff that's hard to find in regular grocery stores even though it isn't Russian specific. But a lot of the best looking stuff, like bread, cheese, and European prepared foods were WAY overpriced.
They have great fruit during the summer months but once out of season, I have no reason to shop here. I find this location substantially better than the one on Dufferin as this one is more well kept, cleaner and more organized. Staff could be more friendly. Overall, decent experience.
Quality European food selection, great prices, it's a bit out of the way for me.. but its very much worth it.
An awesome ???????? Russian base store Love both locations Had everything you can think of.
I really do enjoy this store. Great produce, excellent breads, great charcuterie, great dry goods. Definitely a treat to come here! However, recently I purchased a traditional Smetannik cake (Think chocolate, and sour cream... very tasty), and I found the cake VERY sweet. Definitely moistened with simple syrup, and the filling tasted like Miracle whip/marshmallow. Chocolate topping tasted of cheap chocolate. Kind of gross to be honest. If it was more fairly priced, I would understand, but the cake was around $30. It doesn't help my stomach starts to make really nasty gurgling noises within minutes of eating the cake, and being stuck in the bathroom later in the day. Otherwise, an excellent store, and will be returning. But perhaps staying away from the pastries.
Quality of food products are great but the cashiers have major attitude problems. Most employess only speak Russian and are rude.
The fruit are rotten and tasteless, also pay attention to "specials" the expiry date is adjusted I think - the cottage I bough was bad, happened many times before. Do Not Waist Your Money there...
Lots of variety of Easter European food, reasonable prices.
This place has great specialty item variety and good quality. Staff can be unpleasant at times but if your expectations are strictly focused on food then you will love this place. Also has a beer and wine shop to pick up last minute beverages.
Personally I go because of their huge selection of meats and cheeses as well as the ready made food. Everything there is fresh and delicious. Also as a side note their feta is very tasty and not expensive, it's more affordable than any grocery store i've tried to get feta at but I also enjoy how many fetas there are to choose from. Would completely reccomend
Best European deli!
Yesterday (July 18) I've bought dry fish (vobla) packaged by Yummy Market. The packaging date was marked by Yummy Market as July 17. When I went home and opened the package the smell was so bad and the fish was sooooooo rotten. So be very careful when you buy anything from Yummy Market. Don't trust their labels. Very disappointed....
Great variety of excellent food , including deli with freshly prepared dishes. Amazing choice, allowing to be prepared for guests within minutes
They have the best Russian Bakery and great fresh food. You must try it!
Employee was not social distancing or wearing a mask. Be began swearing and calling me names when I asked him to move his mask to cover his mouth. Another customer apologized to me outside for his actions and she was appalled that he looked like he was about to hit me. Customer service said he didn't need to wear a mask behind the plastic, which he wasn't standing behind when he spoke to me. He was leaning right into my face to scream. I have been a customer since the store opened, but this is unacceptable, I will not be coming back.
We occasionally shop here as the store has nice selection of European deli and sweets but me and my wife just got FOOD POISONING after having some Doktorskaya and in-house Pickled Cabbage (not willing to try more to figure out which of those). I had a little of both and had minor poisoning, and my wife had more of both and had a much worse one. Never trust the "Packed on" labels on in-house made packages, they can cost you a trip to ER. Reported this as Food Safety Concern as well, hopefully there will be more reports and the place actually gets inspected.
This is excellent place if you are looking for some European Cuisine. Has great selection and definitely worth of a visit.
Always have my sausages. Due to Covid, they are not really having any sales.
i love this market. They have good prices and great customer service. i was having a bad day till i came across this amazing cashier, i believe her name was Nicole. She was so nice and asked if everything was good. She was extremely fast and got me done in no less than 2 minutes. I loved it!
The go-to place for all your European delicacies and more. Best place to get bulk tea straight from India/Europe
Always great Russian food! They have basically everything you could need.
Great place to buy any grocery plus huge selection of cheese, cold cuts, europian food. Hot table and salad choices are fantastic. Having a birthday party and dont want to cook? Can bring all your foody guests shocked. You will spend, but no hussle and delicious cooked food
Best variety of great tastes - this is so much better than any big chain store. Come here for breads, sausages, cheeses, hot and cold foods sections and chocolates, of course. We love this place dearly and come here every weekend. I'd also mention a truly friendly service that's coming from the heart. Way to go Yummy!!!
Prepared food is excellent - both quality and selection. Staff could use a refresher on customer service. Wouldn’t kill any of you to be a little friendlier or crack a smile here and there.
Best russian products and euro deli store in Ontario. Starsky is their main competitor and is also amazing.
I like the new one on Dufferine and MacKenzie due to wide variety on shelves and more fresh food choices
Great selection, quality of unique and authentic products; pricing quite higher for items common to other regular stores, which is not justified
Yummy market is the place to shop if you want fresh foods at a reasonable price. Great selection of pastries and deli.
An amazing selection of Eastern European delicacies. Prepared food (hot and cold), beautiful fresh produce, as well as a vast array of canned and pickled goodies.
Got pushed around a few times by customers and there carts , if you are not x soviet do not go shopping there, mind you the selection is very good .on the pricy side at most .very east European, pleasant staff at most , clean store for sure .
There are lots of European products, great cheese and cold cut meat sections!!
One of the few places where you can buy Russian food. I go there for at least once a week. Also it is the best place to buy a take out lunch in the deli bar which is awesome.
If you know T&T stores, this is the same idea for the Slavic. It's very interesting to visit as a tourist, tons of products, but much is aimed at and labelled for Russians. To others it's almost as foreign as a store in Moscow.
It was nice to see multicultural customers! ???? The impressive variety, quick and professional service! Thanks again!
I got kicked out for my medical condition, which is medical discrimination and very illegal. If you have any medical conditions, stay away from here. They will disrespect you and your health in front of everyone.
Very bad customer service. They sold me very bad quality gloves. I showed them how it is tearing apart on the spot. But they refused to return it no matter what. and the way they talk is very rude
Waste of money. Food is overpriced, not fresh to say the least...labels cannot be trusted. Tons of expired food on the shelves sitting waiting for you to buy it and poison yourself, prepared food looks like leftovers from the day before yesterday, oatmeal has little bugs inside...disgusting. will not recommend. Your families do not deserve this so does not mine. Go to more reputable places where food is destroyed before it poisons you due to expiry.
On April 17th I was shopping at 8 pm. There were more than 60 customers inside. Very few people wore masks (including the staff and sellers). Neither costumers nor workers were keeping 2 m distance requiered by law. Thr cashier at checkout 1 serving me, shook hand to his friend and started a conversation with him. I had to ask them to keep required distance. They did not care. No supervision. A violation of regulations might cost human lives and health. However shopping was very good as usual.
Great supermarket with fantastic quality and quantity. Some of their bakery and in store-prepared items are overpriced but for a store that imports most of its products from Eastern Europe and Israel, most of the prices are great. Most of the staff and customers are Russian, Ukrainian or Polish so it's a very convenient shopping experience for new arrivals from those countries. Worth the monthly trip from downtown Toronto!
When you buy something what is packed by Yammy market , check the quality of inside staff. Otherwise, you can be surprised when you come home . Today I bought meat, and what happened when I opened, the thing under the meat was cut by yammy’s workers and the cotton was all over the meat. I don’t think that is healthy!!! Why they such a cheap stuff , to save some money??? I didn’t have time to go back to the store and ask them , what was the point to do it It is not first time , when some products packed by them , were bad quality or something else....
I used to work in yummy market in bakery a year ago. It is the worst place to work. if you get hired there the older staffs treat you disrespectfully and even insult you.
I bought a couple of things from Yummy Market went home just to see THEY ARE ALL EXPIRED. Went back to get a refund on my items and the customer service team there was rude ruthless and didn’t care what I had to say blaming me for not looking at the Expiration dates, but they didn’t blame them selfs for putting EXPIRED food on there selfs! This place is disgusting and will one day make someone sick!
Great products. Wide range of ethnic European produce. Customer service is mediocre.
Terrible customer service!!! The stuff and cashiers are rude and discriminate customers by race, ignore customers. The manager isn’t helpful at all...I highly recommend the directors finally pay attention to this outrage in their store!!
Thank you for standing up to anti-maskers and their fake mask exemptions. They all now know that Human Rights and the courts are against them and that they are only entitled to an accommodation and not maskless shopping. But they’ll continue to harass businesses because they’re self-indulgent and shameless.
All is good about this store however the Brand Named "Pelmeni", we tried Georgian_Style Beef is real junk, stuffing is like boiled leftovers of low quality meat. Don't buy!
Loved the exotic atmosphere, amazing selection of unusual and interesting foods, very helpful staff.
This is my favorite place to shop. Wonderful and delicious, good prices and quality. Staff is always friendly and helpful. I don't shop elsewhere for food.
I live nearby, and I buy all food there, even though I want just Slavic cooked products from them. Salespeople speak Russian and Ukrainian. Very good service. Prices are above average though.
Good breads and pastries. Like the dry smoked kielbasa and coiled homestyle kielbasa sausage. Good fruit. Lots of perogy varieties. Nice variety pf prepared salads.
Good bakery. Great place to pick up authentic eastern European ingredients. Great atmosphere.
Place loaded with all kind of tasty foods. Everybody speaks Russian there. But if you don't, no worries, they can speak English as well.
Little bit crowded, nice place to find varieties of candy, also russian food stylish. Special cookies and foods.
I saw 3 roaches on the fresh produce, disgusting, never shopping there again
Trust Russians on knowing how to eat well. Great food and lots of choices
I love it all the food is good and I love the service that they are nice and I enjoy it a lot
Soviet HAMLO style store. No mask exemptions. Pure comunism. Stay away. Staff speaks 2 and a half words in English.
Always awesome selection of eastern european foods, however, pay attention to expiry dates!
Good selection of foods that you wont find in regular chain supermarkets. However shelve spacing is very odd and creates unnecessary bottlenecks when you try to get around the store.
I love Yummy, but today I was disappointed, because I couldn't buy a Easter bread. Today is Friday, more than 3 days before Easter??? The others were excellent.
Big choice of European and Russian foodstuff and ready-made food. Especially cheese, sour cream, cottage cheese and other milk products
Best place for east European deli and meets. Great take aways . Huge selection of cheeses and meats.
I have never ever EVER felt like this in my life after eating there fish that I thought was “fresh” I have not felt worse in my entire life. They have the worst customer service and the worst products on the market I feel for any human being that eats the product that they sell. NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN!
Great selection of cheeses, meats and smoked fish on top of all Eastern European things
The deli meats counter has amazing selection, quality and prices!! Otherwise a great eastern European / Russian supermarket , would recommend to all!
great supermarket very clean alot of different products.
Great selection of European food including Swedish specialty fish products not found elsewhere in Toronto. The food is always fresh and great quality but customer service is lacking if you don't speak Russian.
The manager at the Maple location is extremely prejudiced against certain minorities and pretty arrogant. The staff at the North York location are much more friendly.
Fantastic eastern European grocery store. The deli meats and cheese selection is incredibly extensive, and they have many eastern European products not commonly found in other stores.
Bakery is the best there
Great eastern European groceries, some a items are quite overpriced
Amazing place to shop! Very fresh fruit and vegetables, bit more expensive than other stores. Unbelievable Bakery Dept., meat, fish, cheese dept. Deli... WOW! Alot of different ethnic foods to be had. First time being here.
There is a variety of Eastern European style prepared food and products. I never get tired of this place!
It is ok. Very expensive though. However.. their fresh baked bread is amazing.
One of the best grocery stores. Excellent selection of jams, honey, meats, and other Eastern European goods
Huge store with a big variety of products. Lots of cooked food and pastries. The store is located in a convenient place with a lot of parking, but due to the volume of customers, you always miss a spot for yourself. There is beer section as well and it's working on holidays. Dropping a start because the place is extremely overpriced
All the time I stopping by on my way from Montreal to Chicago to get some good Russian snack
Cozy Eastern European supermarket with a strong Russian flavour, boasting a fascinating selection of cheese, sausages and smoked fish, as well as a prepared food section. Curiously they also make some Japanese and Korean food. Prices are on the higher end. This is my go to place for kvass and more!
The most awful store in Toronto. The sales representatives are very rude, meany and disrespectful all time. They treat the customers as they own money to them. Unbelievable, I came to this store to buy a garden soil today. I observed how a lady was humiliated because her face mask slided a little bit around 2 mm on her ???? when she tried to order a meal or salad. The sales representative started to yell on her as crasy. I have never seen anything like that at any stores. It’s SHAME!!!
Great European food
Great variety of authentic European food. Hot table is amazingly delicious.
bought two salads on January 28th. Both turned out to be spoiled with a rotten smell, although the date is January 28
Great choice of bread, cheese, sausages, sweets, canned goods and deli. But be careful and check expiration date everytime (fresh are items are usually in the back or at the bottom in case of produce).
This is one of the best stores when it comes to cakes, breads and candies. You will not find cakes like they have anywhere in GTA. The bread and candies are just awesome with wide variety to choose from. In addition they also carry a good variety of European as well as common groceries. My trip to this store never completes without buying breads and cake. Just wish they carry a little asian foods too. Highly recommend to visit store. They have ample parking space and easy access from dufferin st
Nice place for European delights. Being Nigerian, it's great to be able to taste a little bit of the Eastern European and Central European food specialties. From hot food counter to their fresh baked goodies.
Yummy Market is my favourite grocery store for everything Eastern European. Reminds me of all the delicious food I grew up on while spending time with my dad and Russian Polish grandparents. The store has an incredible array of cheeses, meats, sweets, and unbelievable fresh prepared food. The products are always consistently delicious. The bakery is wonderful as well. Fresh produce as well. Lots of parking. They have two locations now.
Even though I am mask exempt, I chose to wear face shield(good enough for Costco), walked through the whole store (Dufferin St.) distancing, went to the check out and was offered a mask. I told them I was exempt and they said store policy, shield not good enough, need a mask. I said they have barricades and they're wearing masks, no, store policy. Couldn't serve me w/o a mask, so I left w/o my goods. Shouldn't their mask protect them from a healthy person? The mask mandate clearly states that there are exemptions. The government and media should be ashamed for creating this fear.
Terrible place . Creepy staff that follow the women around filming and harassing them over even out of the store . A video of it has even gone viral.
Once a month I go to Yummy Market to get really good bread, fresh, healthy and baked in the store. Great selection of fish, deli meats, cheese, home made yummy food, big variety of chocolates and jams and honey. My most favourite section is the tea, with endless options of black teas to cleansing teas. Also delicious butter from Israel! Don't forget to visit the Pharmacy with reasonably priced natural beauty products The staff may have attitude but don't be hesitant to ask for recommendations to find the right choice for products. Wish to have a store near downtown Toronto. It's worth the visit to experience a little taste of Russia!
The employees are not wearing masks and serving my breads, even cashie don’t change their gloves between customers.....How can try’s my bread and my products
Best European food store in the city. Fresh but highly priced.
I was at the store a couple of months ago. They were so rude. The employees there. It saddens me cause I like the food.
Good place to look if you're looking for some food from eastern Europe
One of the biggest stores for European food in GTA. Good assortment from different countries. Loved it.
They created their own rules. They have their own scientists lol
The worst market In Toronto. Staff were so rude and even they don't answer my questions . They were very racist and the atmosphere was very bad. On the other hand it was a luxury super market. However there are too many this luxury super market around Richmond hill with better attitude and maner which convince me to choose some where else
I've been a loyal customer for 10 years. However, today I've completely changed my mind about the store. It looks like the store policies are made by someone with a serious mental issue: I have a medical condition which prevents me from wearing a "must" medical mask. Today I've arrived wearing face shield, and almost immediately was rudely asked to put on something what they consider to be an "appropriate" mask. When I asked why do they discriminate me because of my medical condition, I was told to choose another store for shopping! Message to owner: yes, I'll choose another store for shopping, but you with your "smart" human rights violating policies have lost me as a customer! Your customer service is disgusting!
I wish I lived closer to this place. I can't speak for the produce or groceries, but the food counters are outstanding. Tons of cheese, cured meat, salads, prepared dishes to choose from. So much selection and all are fresh and at a reasonable price. I'd get my lunch from here every day if I could, and some dinners.
I love this place , just yummy ????
My husband and I drive from Whitby to Yummy Market. We really enjoy the baked goods, deli counter and fresh foods. Always a pleasure! !
The best place to shop for cheese, bread, dairy, sausages, flour, teas, chocolates and candy of all types.
Bakery is the best here
Great place to buy Russian/Polish food. Huge variety. They have best low salted herring without vinegar. Thumbs up!
A good choice of fresh fruits and vegetables.A good variety of frozen sea food. The staff nice and pleasant .????
Food selection is good but pricey. Not good for regular grocery shopping.
The stuff is rude, specially in the salads department. They will treat you like a felon just for asking something. The culture of the people who work there is toxic...
Well organized grocery store with good selection. Our to go place for east European food.
An especially wide variety of Russian food... Very nice to have
My husband just bought cake and some pastries and had hard time with salesperson lady. He wasn't picky, but was talking English and tried all his best to say names of cakes in Russian . Salesperson was very rude in servicing , lazy to explain difference between 2 cakes (?!) . She could not ( or didn't want ) to understand English neither RUSSIAN names of pastries. Bad and discriminated service of this particular lady ( zero smile, zero wish to help for client to find торт " Птичье молоко" ) Seriously??
I was sold a rotten ham with a disgusting smell. I could not feel that because the ham was sliced and packed by the stores' employee. This smell was so strong and bad that I felt nauseous when I opened the package at home. I am absolutely sure that the seller also smelled that during the slicing. But she packaged it and gave it to me smiling - this is a first-class service!
Expensive selection of products and everything is super fresh the prices have gone through the roof within the last 5 years very very expensive to shop at.
Excellent food with an international flavor. Staff may be more friendly if you speak Russian, but I don't mind. If you've only ever gone to a Canadian grocery store go for the mind expanding experience. Go back for the meat. Kassler... yum.
Almost daily, dropping by here they have everything fresh all we need.
This is a busy place for sure specially on a Saturday. This location is a little smaller compared to the one located at Dufferin and Majormak. Carries mostly items from Russia and countries nearby. Parking is available.
The administrator is very rude to the client
A great way to feed your "nostalgic, Eastern European tooth" and other grocery needs all in one place. Pickled and smoked everything as well as artisan bread, fermented milk products, freshly baked pies, chocolates and other sweets. Decent produce department, two huge deli counters. Awesome choice of teas. Wine and beer on site. Price wise, you can find some stuff in smaller European deli shops for a dollar or two less, but again, some will be more expensive. As I said, for me personally, it is a nostalgic gastronomic experience. Good size parking lot. Never had problems finding a spot and I usually visit on weekends. While at it, visit Russian book store and souvenir shop located on the same plaza. A delightful place.
As an ex employee of this filthy place (i use to work in the kitchen )I wouldn’t ever put nothing comes from this store to my mouth, they must paying the inspector to close his eyes ,thee is no way this place can pass food inspection, pathetic
Stay out of this place, I'm surprised it hasn't been shut down yet. They need daily inspections for expired food and switched labels, as well as serious customer service bootcamp. Reviews here and on FB are fake too. Shame on you Anna!
Fantastic selection of products at very comparative price! Love their culinary department :-)
European goods that's not available in regular stores
amazing Russian supermarket! Tons of import goods here, fresh meats and great snacks.
Delicious food! Always stop at the store whenever we are visiting Toronto!
Their fresh bread is awesome! The only snag is that the don't slice it while it is hot. Couple times I they agreed to slice warm bread. Today it was pretty curt refusal. A little annoying.
I bay in this store on 1 of February, dry fish- lesch, this product was not on the saile , store bay what fish for very cheap price in Russia maybe for one$ and selling in store for $27.99 kg. What fish was very old, and has bad smell, when I bring it in my home. Looks like it's laying somewhere half a year. It's happening not first time in my experience, some products in what store very old.
always a pleasure to shop here.
The last 2 reviews that were written DONT EVEN MAKE UP THE TROUBLE IVE GONE THROUGH WITH THIS PLACE. The cashiers rude, management rude the whole place basically treated me like I was a felon and that is disguising!
Nice selection of sliced meats, baked goods, chocolates, etc. I come here to get my fix of perogies! They carry a large selection of frozen perogies that are much better than brands I've tried from other stores. They could do something to improve social distancing at the cash registers for check out.
I really like this store, such a wide variety of products. The bakery also has a wide range of delicious treats. I also get my favorite perogies here. The store is large, clean and helpful staff.
A lot of Russian - Ukrainian food
CHECK RECEIPTS AT THE CASHIER!!! The price on the shelf is often lower than the price you will pay! Make sure you catch it. But once you catsh it - don't expect an apology! Grupmy customer service will ask you to show the shelf with a price tag, then they will ask you to bring the purchased item back from the car to prove you have purchased it (even if there is a full product name on the receipt), then after you have spent 10 min proving that it's Yummy's mistake and not your imagination you finally get your money back. With dirty looks and no apology. And if you mention that you deserve an apology the customer service rep's answer would be "I personally have nothing to do with this. I have done nothing to apologize for - it's not me who puts price tags on the shelf! Nothing personal. Not my fault" The person representing the store has nothing to apologize for..." Well...Russian food is Yummy but Russian customer service is rough and brutal...
Great place to shop for eastern European food. Too bad there is no store in Mississauga
Best European chocolates, meats, biscuits etc. Great service, affordable!
Allways Fresh and Tasty
Great European products of quality! Best kefir ever and they even sell merguez.
Fresh food, yummy treats and definitely worth the trip!
Excellent European primarily Russian great selection limited parking
Good veraity of products in the store. Very poor quality of the delicatessen and the prepared food. Also the vegetables not always fresh. I am a regular costumer in the last two years ( doing my groceries shopping there once a week ) sadly in the last month's the food is getting worse.
Good selection of cultural food .
Great selection of Russian and Eastern European products. The place does get busy during peak times, but products don't stay on the shelf too long, so it is good that the place is busy sometimes!
One of the best grocery stores in Toronto. The vegetables are very high quality. There is a huge variety of deli products and 'home' made canteen good. The store makes its own pickled vegetables, smoked fish, etc. For those who enjoy bulk candy, this is a place to go. It also has high quality bulk products, such as cereal and tea. The store is a bit more pricy than the average good basics and no frills, but I certainly recommend it
Quite an impressive food store with a great variety of foods from around the world. As well as freshly created edible cooked, baked broiled etc foods to make an impressive meal.Eat them by yourself or invite quests they are amazing. And reasonably priced. In addition to my purchasing their products and eating them,I also impress visitors from out of town.
No space, unfortunately. Assortment is good , cashiers do everything very fast
I love this store!!! They have a wide variety of products! My favourite place to buy cakes, breads, kolbasa, salads and more!!!
Always can find my favorite treats here, the fruits and vegetables are fresh and parking is always available.
Not bad, some selection, pleasant staff. But I find more choices and better prices at Starsky. Caviar is more expensive here.
This store is a bit pricey but I love their chocolate croissants and cakes!!! ????
Lots of options of European groceries, relatively quick service, medium to high range of prices. Overall, definitely reccomend to visit, especially if you are looking for the taste of Eastern-European cuisine.
There is very good choice of Russian and other European groceries. This store was open even on Civic holiday!
Always fresh. Great produce and ready to eat products.
Essentially a Russian food Mart fully stocked from fruits and veggies, meats, fish and a ready to eat food station. Staff are very friendly and expect to have your shopping cart full by the end of the trip if you love everything cheese... and cheesecake..
Good variety of Russian foods. Stuff is always friendly and helpful.
I live downtown and travel here chiefly for the hot foods and imported Polish/Russian snacks, which are aplenty :) I think the reviewers who complain of the supposed language barrier are highly exaggerating. It does get congested at certain times, which is typical in any other local Slavic supermarket (eg. Starsky)..
Not on Saturday it’s a killer. They have so much different products feels like home. Expensive
