This Fruit Store corresponds to the category of Chinese supermarket.
Sunny is quite a small supermarket compared to T&T or Foody. But they have very good quality of Asian veggies. Most Asian grocery would not pack veggies in plastic wrap but Sunny does, and this is quite important in the current COVID world. Meat quality is just OK and definitely not on par with Costco.
Average Chinese supermarket serving mainly Chinese community living in the area. Price is reasonable, it always offers weekly specials. Don't expect any assistance from the staffs, they are all busy hauling foods and cashier always chit-chatting within themselves when they are free.
It's nice to shop there, they have great prices but I was surprised to see that ever location have different deals.
A smallish Chinese/Asian supermarket. The seafood and meat section is really interesting!
Store at convenient location for me. However you have to be selective on what you get, to make sure the goods are fresh. Fresh fish is good.
more expensive than Hong tai, but so much stuff
A little smaller than a lot of other Asian grocery markets but has everything you need. They partition the meat and fish section off which I like! Things here are relatively inexpensive which is great! There are a bunch of restaurants and other items in the plaza so it's quite convenient. It's definitely my go to place for groceries
Good selection of groceries. The seafood section has a great selection and the fish is usually fresh and of high quality. For parking I never bother on the lower level and head to the ramp instead of driving around the parking lot till I find a spot.
This is a small Asian supermarket in a plaza filled with restaurants. Parking fills up very quickly so it's probably best not to go grocery shopping during any meal times unless you're already there and looking to pick up a few things. We've shopped here on occasion but we do prefer some of the other Asian supermarkets in the area. Variety is limited and produce isn't as fresh as other stores.
Great place the meat butchers are very nice even trimmed my pork belly very nicely before handing it to me. lots of great sea foods too.
Been shopping here for years and I can say with confidence that a lot of the produce is fresh but this doesn’t reflect on the perishables. Always check for expired food before purchasing and the staff are rude as hell. Don’t expect good customer service or reasonable pricing
Comparatively very good prices, compared to other Chinese super markets
Great selection but unfortunately cashier was very rude. Will not be back.
This is a "Chinese Supermarket". If you know Chinese foods, you should shop here, they offer good prices and decent service. My family shop here often. They welcome all Canadians.
Very affordable groceries and Asian products. Fresh seafood and meat are also great quality. Don’t expect stellar customer service or good decor.
I adore this place! They serve marvelous dishes, they have a nice menu, The chief cook in that restaurant is a professional, I like very much trying all their food. The dishes are always tasty, the service towards the visitors is good. I go often to this place and I was never disappointed. I recommend it to all my friends.
Excellent place for indo - Chinese grocery.. fresh and frozen choice of very good quality sea food and chicken ..lots of parking place.lots of choices of fruits, vegetables, groceries etc..bakery and a restaurant is also nearby as its a plaza..nice place overall..staffs are also very helpful...highly recommended..good luck ????
Worst customer service at all times. It's unfortunate that this supermarket employs such individuals to represent themselves. They would be rude and sarcastic, especially unpleasant during the pandemic. The cashiers would randomly give attitudes and talk as if customers are trash.
not the largest grocery store in Toronto, but the variety of foods they have here make up for it!
I found hotpot stuff here. It made my whole week!
Great variety of chinese grocery
Local grand Chinese “convenience store”. You wouldn’t really come here to do your weekly shopping... it’s more like you last minute need a particular East Asian item, and you don’t want to drive too far to a T&T or Foody. Then you reluctantly pay for the premium because the gas you spend driving further away would have been the same.
Smaller than most other Chinese groceries and a bit pricier too but very conveniently located right at the intersection of Leslie and Finch. Parking lot is small (even with the two storey garage) given the number of restaurants in the plaza so parking is often very busy in the evenings and particularly the weekends. Seems that over time the store is improving their cleanliness and the quality of the products. The live tanks for the fish look well maintained and the fish look healthy, which is a good sign of how things are run. Update October 2018: The fish tanks are better than ever with more varieties of shellfish than before. The selection of groceries continues to improve too as has the freshness of the fruits and veggies.
Legit has some of the best meat quality wise, and a good assortment of other random Asian goodies Wish they brought Ginger Beer back, only place I’ve ever found it in the GTA
Supermarket itself is fine and probably has the stuff you are looking for. People there aren't very polite or nice in general. The way staff treats people are as if they are forced to work (doesn't speak at all most of the times). They look unhappy and tired. Also the customers push people around and are not organised.
This is a pretty good supermarket to go to right now during the pandemic. With a lot of the other stores and restaurants closed on that plaza, parking had become easy. The staff seem thorough with Covid prevention. They're all wearing masks and there is someone by the entrance making sure you sanitize your hands. The store isn't that big but it's got most of the Chinese basics. There is a pretty good selection of produce, the basics for dairy and dried goods and a meat and seafood department. You can get most of what you would need. They accept credit card.
Great selection of fresh vegetables at reasonable prices and probably the cheapest meat in town
When I think abt seafood, I usually shop here. Reasonal price and many kinds of snail, clam, crab and shrimp
The supermarket is quite normal and pretty small, however, the fishery section, in my view, is the best in North York area: the fish is always fresh; there's a good selection and the salespeople are professional and polite. I highly recommend the fish section of this market.
Fresh good quality fish and seafoods. Overall clean store. Vegetables & fruits are more pricey compare to other Asian grocery stores. The workers wore their mask properly at all times.
A pretty good place for Asian goods. You'll find a good amount of Chinese spices and sauces and a couple of Japanese, Korean, and Thai products. The produce here is okay albeit a little more pricey than other Asian marts, but the prices are still fine. A word of caution, if you buy meat here, you should plan on cooking it right away. I find the meat tends to go bad quickly.
Not a large Asian grocery, nor complete with everything you need, but convenient for quick pit stops. Pretty clean and less busy it seems than other Asian groceries. Parking can be a problem during peak times due to several restos in the same plaza. Good fish section.
Great spot to get all your Asian necessities.
The supermarket is quite normal and pretty small, however, the fishery section, in my view, is the best in North York area: the fish is always fresh; there's a good selection and the salespeople are professional and polite. I highly recommend the fish section of this market.
You lost my pepper. You have charged our money but you didn't give us the pepper.
Good selection of products not available on most stores.
Good selection and good prices. Finding parking spots is difficult though, long walk out the door to the parking lot.
Always go there to get fresh vegetables. It's kept clean too.
I thought the prices would be better but they feel more expensive. Unlike the Loblaws and metros sunny has lots of "ethnic" foods and choices. Along with pricing seemingly more expensive for some things over metro there are some times language barriers which is to be expected though everyone I have encountered tried as I did with them so no problems.
Small asian/chinese grocer, good variety of staples at great prices - produce is always top notch, pre, and even during the pandemic, been coming here for many years.
We arrived one hour before their closing time and they had already packed and covered a lot of the veggies and fruits. Customer service is quite low here.
The food quality of this location has been turning worse and worse. O guess that's why they got less customers. The fruits here are always rot, the meat department is alway stinky and smells like garbage disposal place... As pictures are the icecream I got from them, Not on discount so it supposed to be fresh at least not like the ice cream that you have stored in the freezer for 5 years(and got melt then frozen) ughh. I should have gone to T&T or just go a bit further to 丰泰 Dont go here! I would NEVER EVER BE THERE.
I think their seafood is fresh and great selection. Price is a little bit more then other Chinese grocery shops, but not too far off. My go to place if I want fish or pork ribs.
It's a typical Chinese grocery store. Nothing great. Freshness of stuff may not be great, depending on what you need.
never going back again... outdated displays and shelves. the whole store smells sour.
I often go there to buy something. There’s a lots of things but little bit messy and not organized. Their seafood section is great.
This Chinese/Korean supermarket always has best quality fresh seafood. It's my seafood go-to place. It sometimes carries very exotic fruits like barberries and yacon fruits, but they don't give it away either. The vegetables are usually very fresh, and the meat is always fresh tho they only carry certain cuts of meat. The place is clean and bright, staff are generally helpful. Parking sometimes is a pain in the neck, so try to avoid weekend and evening.
The quality of the fish and product has improved quite a lot in the last 6 to 12 months. I used to avoid this supermarket for years. Now, I like to purchase fish from this place as the freshness and variety of fish available is one of the best, if not the best in the neighborhood. Meat and products are on par with other supermarkets in the neighborhood.
So-so selection. Fruit, vegetable, meat prices are a bit higher than other Chinese supermarkets.
The cashier is very rude, she treats customers like driving animals. I had never seen someone who speaks vulgarly like her. She doesn't know what is respect and how to talk to others in the proper way.
Convenient location. I typically come here for their seafood as they have a decent selection. From live fish to lobsters.
Good selection of Asian snacks but not the best prices.
Has all kinds of Chinese grocery items.
Nice and clean Chinese grocery store
As far as Chinese supermarkets goes this one is pretty good. Decent prices on imported snacks/drinks, sometimes nice fresh exotic fruit and vegetable finds. Cleanliness is on par with the rest of Chinese supermarkets, hard to leave that fresh fish smell behind.
I’ve been to this store a few times and the staff have always got a terrible attitude. Needless to say I won’t be back.
Sunny Supermarket is my go to place for general Asian groceries. While the physical store is not huge, it has just about everything I ever need to make various Asian dishes. I especially appreciate the variety, freshness, and cleanliness of their fruits and vegetables. I have bought Asian vegetables from many other grocery stores and time and time again, I have found that the ones from Sunny Supermarket are the cleanest by far. I also really like their large selection of snacks, sauces, and herbal ingredients for making soups. If you care about customer service, unfortunately this place is hit or miss. I find that the stock workers are much more inclined to be nice and/or helpful in comparison to the cashiers. Because of language barriers, it's also sometimes difficult to find the answer you are looking for.
A good selection of groceries, vegetables and fruits. I like the fact that meat and fish section is separate from the rest. A good selection of meat. I've never seen such a wide variety of seafood in one place in any where in the GTA. They offer from the regular fish, shrimps, lobster, shellfish to the razor clams, crawfish, etc. Good prices too.
Chinese supermarket with fresh products. Nice location. Staffs are nice.
They like to sell straight up rotten fruits and veggies in their discount sections. Unsafe
