This Fruit Store corresponds to the category of Grocery store.
Lots of free parking. Always has sale items in stock. Usually pretty busy. Huge location.
Too much lines up to pay, and cashiers are not as friendly
Really friendly staff, great selection, especially lots of Kosher and Jewish foods if you’re into the food or culture. I have never seen so much food from my culture in a big name grocer before. It was really nice - I’ll have to compare prices with some of the local Jewish markets.
Busy. As usual, low No Frills prices especially the sale items. It was great to see that the sale items I wanted were available at this location on the last day of the sale. Cashier was friendly and smiled which was good since it was at the end of the night. There is plenty of parking available and the location is TTC accessible with sufficient bus stops very close by. I would visit again if in the neighbourhood.
The selection is good and reasonably priced. Store was renovated and looks good. There is a good organic section. I always buy dozen of free-run brown eggs for $4.50.
Check your bill before leaving the store, they are quite clever. After the 4th time of wrongful billing, I now understand their plan???? They robbed me again for the third time since this last post. Today I Bought bread on sale....didn’t checked my bill....got home to see they charged me full price. My fault for forgetting to always check by bill before leaving the store. It would cost me more to go back for reimbursement, so they win again????
cheap prices..one of the best no frills in the city in terms of prices and availability of goods
They always got what I need, clean and stocked. Sometimes the lines for registers can be long, blah, not that big of a deal considering we could live in a 3rd world country with no electricity and running water and wondering where your next meal will come from.
Good specials, but needs more cashiers, always a long line to checkout. Also Optimum rewards not nearly as good as program at Shoppers. Fix it so it's the same specials!
I had the worst experience with a cashier, she scanned the products and threw them without care, when I told her, "please, don’t do that", she answered me without respect, unfriendly. I think that person doesn’t know how to deal with customers. Worst location to ask for a price match, they do anything not to do so or just ignore you without explanation. Also, there is ALWAYS panhandlers standing in front of the entrance.Someone from the store needs to send them away from the store.
This is a big No Frills store that is located on the intersection of major streets that makes it easily accessible by car and public transit. Most of the items are in stock. Some ethnic food. In general, I find the stor layout confusing.
Great shopping reasonably priced good selection of foods. Huge parking lot easily access. Very busy so patience is required for checking out. Certain areas can be messy. But otherwise you get good value for your money
This place can use some more staff at peak times. There is always a long wait to the register. There seems to be a perpetual state of disarray on the grocery shelves and the prices on display don't always match the price at the cash register.
Good produce and prices, friendly staff. BUT. They are almost always out of smaller carts and moving a big one in their narrow aisles is a real struggle. Guys, you have a ton of big carts idling outside for no apparent reason. I'm not buying more stuff from you just because you make me shop around on a pickup truck, I'm just switching to another store instead. Please add more small carts.
Really a big No Frills. You can find everything. You will see the staff walking around, to whom you can ask. The queue at the cashier can be long at times. Mid afternoon queue at cashier isn't too bad
Easy layout to navigate for the most part. Well stocked Kosher section. Decent selection and prices. Pretty standard for No Frills all around.
Cashiers don't wait for the costumers to put their shopping in bags and leave. They kept charging people in line one after the other and there is a bunch of people at the same time attending cash register making impossible to keep social distance while you hear one of their staff asking the costumers in the speakers to keep social distance. Very unsafe.
Some selections do cater to specific communities. There is a good selection of Kosher chicken for example. The frozen food section has products that cater to Asian, and Filipino markets, as well. In some areas: kosher candy, and dairy, the selections are many. I actually go to this store if there is something that I cannot locate elsewhere, or if I am looking to try something new. I found a peanut butter flavoured puff in the snack isle that I will try very soon. Nice selection of crackers. Worth my trip! There are some days that there is a crowd. It is generally a busy location. If you would like to enjoy your shopping experience, I would check google for the least busy time to go.
The store is fully stock when I went there.. good place
Extensive kosher food selection. Easier to reach than Dino's No Frills because the Bathurst 7 buses run more often than the Avenue Road 61 ones.
I like the new management or the owners. They multiculturised the workers here at this location. Before there was mainly Filipinos in this location as workers. But now it looks like real Canadian Superstore. Nothing against the Filipinos, but it's good to see different ethnicities working together like this country. Good deals always as well
Excellent Selection Through out the entire store. Lots of choice, large kosher and philipino food offerings, great selection. Lots of cashiers and stock clerks working - properly staffed which is unusual to find. My only negative, because they sttempt to offer so much, , the aisles in bakery, and across the top of the store are narrow and tight. Basically a grind and go and wait and see with your shopping cart. Would definitely change it up and shop here again really soon
This is my closest no frills and really try to a avoid it. The aisles are tiny and often the produce isn't very fresh. Other no frills I have found have better fruits and vegetables. There is a large section for kosher products which is good if you shop for those products but take up a lot of the meat section where there is only 1 small section for non kosher meat. The staff aren't very friendly or helpful. I go here when in a pinch but go down to the one on avenue for better quality stuff.
Clean store and lots of kosher items - they lack though in the meat department - they need to beef it up! and add more products- Fortinos has way more
I love this No Fills because they have a wide variety of vegetables and fruits from different parts of the world. Love my yellow yam, cho cho, nasberries, sour sop and plaintain... need I go on? Prices are also not too too bad.
Pretty small no frills. Doesn’t carry a whole lot of products.
I have come to this NoFrills long before it was bought by John & Danielle. Since John and Danielle bought it I have noticed higher prices than other Nofrills stores. Apparently John and Danielle can charge whatever price they want in their stores despite being part of Nofrills system. Also the store was very crowded and I dont think they are following Covid rules. I am thinking of reporting them. I will not shop there again. 2 stars.
Did a grocery run based on the specials they had in the flyer. When I got to cash, they said an item was not on sale (I had X3 qty) even though the flyer had the exact same picture!! I was furious as it was one of the main things I needed to get for my family. I asked to speak with the manager and the manager refused to show up but kept saying NO over the phone. Not shopping here again!! Bad customer service, won't honour flyer pricing and frankly they just don't care.
I come to this store because it is convenient in location, and has some kosher products (pretty small selection condidering the large jewish population around)- center point location has a much better selection. 2/5 stars for cleanliness and stock (or lack thereof), but mostly because the staff in this location seems to think it is OK to ALWAYS speak their own language specifically those who work on cash including the supervisors. It is incredibly rude and uncomfortable for a customer. I understand there are a lot of staff that come from the same background, but this is not acceptable. It always feels like your staff is talking about the customer when they are inquiring about a price etc. (I should also mention prices are constantly tagged wrong and they dont honor the misleading price or send you to customer service where it takes like 45 min and 25 calls for someone to come to the desk). Have respect for the environment you work in and the customer you are serving. Please train your staff to speak english when working the floor at all times. Otherwise, it makes for a terrible and uncomfortable experience and it drives people away from shopping at your store.
Jewish/Israeli/Kosher food paradise. Found this delicious Israeli tahini there on sale that can barely be found anywhere. Great produce section too.
This place is stacked with Kosher and asian food, so if you need one this is the place to go. Not my first choice as i have been to bigger and better NoFrills to find food of my choice but fairly good enough to find good deals.
Busy. Crowded. Outdated. Clean.
My favorite No Frills. It has a large variety of groceries and the prices are fair. There is a large Israeli/Kosher section in the store. It tends to get crowded during the weekend. If you are looking for fresh meat/fish there are better places but overall it is good enough for everyday shopping.
Easy access lots of stuff to choose from at a low price
Busy and big No Frills location. Large Kosher food section. Lineups can be long but get processed quickly.
I was hoping for better product management under the new ownership but unfortunately almost every visit leaves some staple on my shopping list. Check out lines are consistently long. The saving grace is a decent kosher section and a number of excellent staff members.
Thia place is great. There are a lot unique items for the Jewish community customers.
Spent 1.5 years near the location, and it was my go to supermarket. Almost always available supplies, great sales, including the sales not in the flyer. Thank you everyone for the great service I received every weekend!
4th time this month I’ve purchased a moldy product.
The store is pretty good when it comes to the prices of the store's items because they're cheap. You can do price matching here with limit of 4, but no rain checks. Sat. and sun. are the busiest day as well as holidays or days before the holiday. When it comes to weekdays (in the morning), the store isn't that busy. But in the afternoon to evening, the store begins to be busy. Usually closes at 9:30 (mon.-fri.) And 8:30 (sat.-sun) The store is good for kosher items. Cheap and lots of stocks. In regular items, when it comes to special, the limit is 12. No more, no less. Or else you gotta talk to the manager in charge.
This is a great location for international foods and pretty good produce. Their meat department is pretty basic and they don't have the salad, deli, and fresh meat/fish/cheese stations like other grocery stores. They do have No Name, PC and they price match almost any other grocery. Limit is 3 or 4 I think on price matched items. They are very nice and helpful (when you can find them). Overall, for the budget conscious shopper, this is a great option
We looked the flyer from online and tooked some products while billing the cashier said that this flyer is not applicable for this store... too ridiculous to hear this..then you people have to giv the address in the flyers that which no frills having this offer and allow
Checking out here is a hassle and always an unpleasant experience. I'm a big shopper so it takes some time for me to pack and the cashiers "apparently" cannot use the other belt. I don't know what the point is but in Corona time when social distancing is important, the last thing I want is another shopper close to me packing their stuff or being pressured into packing as quickly as possible. Shopping here is stressful!
Very busy, but so good place to grocery shopping.
First time at this location. I was very impressed by their selection of yoghurt. There were many brands I had not seen before and was excited to try them. My only grievance was that the yoghurt was split into two sections, but that is likely because some of the yoghurt was kosher and others were not. I ended up purchasing a chocolate flavoured Greek yoghurt for $2 (it was pricey for one, but on sale).
Rude staff and customers. People always coming into your 6 ft physical distancing circle. The cashier's are only using one belt for purchased items so you have to stand and wait there until the person who paid packs all their groceries into bags before the cashier will even start ringing in your order. Very inefficient, disorganized and overall dangerous shopping experience. I won't be coming back here ever. And the carts don't accept hauler keychains so get your change ready.... And when you're done shopping there no cart returns anywhere in the parking lot so I hope you park close.
I grudgingly shop here because it is the closest no frills but it is not the best no frills and probably makes the list for worst no frills location. It is quite small, and lacks quality in selection of fruits, veggies and meats. Always inconsistent -- one day they'll have halal, next week they won't. One day they'll have organic avocados and next week they won't. Very frustrating. Checkout people are average if not unhappy most of the time... watch your bills as well. There have been multiple times when checkout will punch twice for one item. Long lines make this delay even more annoying. I try to shop elsewhere when I can. I just wish there was another no frills around. Edit I have found a far worse nofrills location on my hunt for a good one. Avoid the Rutherford location as they sell expired or expiring foods. I've edited this review to give this Wilson location a 3 star.
Always low or out of stock on advertised items. Also, you can't rely on their meat department, low stock or overpriced items. This location could use some new blood - staff not really friendly or fast. We do our shopping at this place only if we are late or have few items to buy.
One of the larger NFs in the area. Selection is very good and price is decent as well. The cleanliness should be improved though the store on Avenue although much smaller offers a more pleasant shopping experience. This one being where it is has a large selection of kosher products if you’re looking for them.
I like the improvements since Andrew and Shelly have taken over managing the store...displays of produce are fresh and appealing to the eye and to the pocket book...containers filled with boxes have been removed in front of the store...making it easier to exit the store after paying for groceries...
This no frills is considerably jammed with people. The parking lot is big but it may take a little time to park. They mainly cater to the jewish and filipino community whom live in the area. It has a good selection of produce.
I bought chicken that was off (smelled as soon as I opened it same day). I wrapped it in the no frills bag and put it in my freezer to return on my next visit. They wouldn't give me credit as I did't return the perishable item within three days (I don't grocery show every three days!). I told them it wasn't a perishable item when I bought it . . . it was perished! Very poor customer service! (and the staff person who dealt with me could not care less) Don't buy food here.
Produce can be pricy considering it's a NoFrills. Sometimes it feels crowded when you're inside. Although it's big, the aisles are narrow so it's hard to maneuver around without running into another person. Friendly staff though, which is great.
The staff doesn't understand the concept of 6 feet. They block the aisles and walk close to the customers. NOT a fun experience but unfortunately it's the closest supermarket to me.
Just like any typical grocery store, there are tons of people, usually crowded, but not that bad. Overall the prices are pretty decent, and Its definitely the type of grocery store you would need to go to just in case. The experience was definitely a 3 star.
I feel at home there and I find whatever I need
I was only here for about 4 mins. Just popped in to buy strawberries. I was only able to see the fruits session which was at the front of the store. Fruits session was very well stocked and fruits looked fresh.
I do buy there, but its a "low quality" food chain, there isn't any "local" businesses, or any competitors. Many times there are needless "long lines". Caught an employee putting back "cracked eggs" on the shelf after i placed the carton aside. they also did a "bait and switch", by putting another similar more expensive product where the "on sale" product usually goes.
I can't belive you don't have Mr. Goudas rice . Other than that nice clean store lots of parking . And some crazy guy preaching across the street with a mega phone.
It doesn't have basic Diwali festival related sweets that other No Frills has! Had to rush to Dufferin to get the sweets
Convenient location at a busy intersection. Good place to do your grocery on the way home. Open till 9.30 am, Great.
Very small no frills. Not much room to move your shopping cart.
Fantastic for consistent quality produce, meat and dairy at fair value. Well organized and good social distancing measures in place. Highly recommended.
It is at a good busy location mext to TD bank. This area has a alot of Philipino and Jewish families. This store has a great variety of Kosher products and Philipino products to cater the local population. However it misses out on Indian food quite a bit. I don't blame them but there is still quite a bit of Indian population around too. Overall a decent store.
Good store with affordable prices. I find Kosher as well as international foods like corn flour and fresh cheese. Produce is okay and good variety of products for a nofrills. Weekly offers are often attractive. Parking can be a bit of a challenge during peak times.
Last night I went to get groceries and the cashier forgot to ask about my points card so I asked for help. Guess what? Their customer service showed me an attitude not even an apology from any of them. I hope you guys take an action, like be more nice in dealing witg your customers because that counts a lot!
Pat's has a great selection of kosher products, and basic produce and staples. It lives up to the standard you expect of pretty much every No Frills; it's not perfectly clean, but clean enough, plenty of items in stock, plenty of items on sale, and easy price matching. I've also found the staff there to also be particularly friendly and helpful.
Love the fact that they are willing to recruit diverse group of people, rather than exclusively hire employees from one ethnic group; which was the case before.
This is a good local supermarket with a commendable variety of stock. It has a vast Kosher aisle for those who adhere to Judaism. While seemingly appearing to be crowded, the aisles can accommodate two shopping carts, but still courtesy is required. A vast array of checkout counters ensures that you will be able to pay for your purchases quickly.
I used to be happy with this store’s produce and selection of other items. However, recently I’ve not been happy with the quality of produce. Today, I went to get a few items to make a caesar salad. There were 4 sopping wet heads of romaine lettuce to choose from. Didn’t like the looks of them, so I looked at the packaged romaine lettuce. Nothing suited my needs. So I grabbed one of the four heads for $2.99. I needed garlic and was hoping for something fresh and found old sprouting garlic. $5.49 a pound for this “fresh” garlic. You could not pay me to use that stuff, let alone expect me to buy it. Seriously, what has happened to this store? The elderly cashier named Helen was wonderful. Give that woman a raise. She’s the reason the store got any stars.
I thought I'd experienced the best of No Frills until I got here. Simply the best in fresh produce, price and courteous staff
Awesome nofrills, it is a great size with a lot of variety with the usual good nofrills prices, staff is kind and the service is good, so far I had no issues here, although the only thing is that the floor always looks a little dirty, it might be because this place has been here for a while, otherwise, totally recommended!
Good prices and quality food but rude staff. Had some very bad encounters with moody staff. Worker stood in front of my cart, stared at me, then told me to put it back because I was "taking it out of the boundaries", even though I was in line close to the entrance. I thought we were just going on the same path, so i tried getting around him about 3 times but he kept just standing in front of me without saying anything, so I was very confused but I still friendly smiled. He then came out with this loud rude tone and told me I had to go back and not get my cart till after I was allowed to go in?? Literally everyone else in line had their cart all ready to go. Why was I stopped? I did not resist, but I wondered why everyone else could wait with their carts but I was rudely stopped from having mine. Not the first time something like this happened to me, but not every visit turns out like this.
Poor management, Sunday afternoon, over twenty people waiting in the 1 to 8 Express line and the 1 to 12 line closes. I don't shop at this location of no frills often do to the higher prices compared to other no frill. I will be shopping here even less now.
Covers basic needs and some plus. Good to buy chips, frozen items. Minimum selection for organic foods. Vegetables? I avoid to buy because I have some bad experiences around them.
No Frills is a nice store. It has most of the stuff I need. It also has fresh fruits and vegetables area with variety of items on display. Loved the variety of juices they have. Also as they say, the prices are quite reasonable plus if you have PC Optimum card, you can accumulate points each time you shop here. I am happy shopping here for my grocery. Will love to visit again!
Produce is limited, but its not a megastore so not complaining too much. Produce seems to be of decent quality, as well as they do have a kosher section as well.. On exit they need to implement self cash out terminals as it would lessen the traffic and also they need to not limit methods of payments to cash and or Mastercard...
It’s a good store and well stocked. Never found any out of stock item
Fast checkout! Decent prices. Some good deals. Hang out here while I wait for pickup at baycrest.
Seems to be not as busy as other NF's. A fair selection of ethnic Jewish and Filipino food serving the residents of the area. Ample parking.
Very clean store, well maintained and very co-operative staff. Parking is ample and we never faced any problem to buy groceries here. Prices are good and very competitive.
Convienent grocery shopping for less, with a great selection of Staples and wide variety of Kosher style food at lower prices than Loblaws, Fortino's Sobeys or Metro. Also, they are good when it comes to price matching if you are the type that sees the price of the same item being sold at another grocer for less. They will match it. Parking is always a challenge even though lot is fairly big and it is always very busy with plenty of shoppers but if you want to save on your grocery bill, then consider this place.
This place is way too crowded. There was no one monitoring the amount of customers entering the store and the hand sanitizer pump was empty walking into the store. Other No Frills locations are much more organized.
Best thing is lots of parking area. Good grocery selection. Seems crowded a bit.
I mean the place has great deals for its location, but you do have to put up with some very slow moving people. And I don't just mean the other customers. Regardless, this place is the biggest No Frills I know.
Ok prices. (It's a bit more pricey that other No Frills, though. When you buy the same products, you notice this.) It's a bit annoying they don't take Visa Credit cards.
It's small and a little run down. It doesn't have a large selection. It is in an older neighbourhood, so I'll give it a pass. Their employees are nice and helpful. I don't like the selection of groceries that they have.
Fantastic location, they carry a ton of vegan essentials which is really important to my family. The store is clean and well-stocked. 4.5/5 because they often don't have enough staff working cash (the line-ups are often all the way into the aisles)
It's a nofrills. Store is not dirty, most items are usually well stocked. A few times I visited on Wednesday evenings and noticed a lack of produce though, I think that's when they put out the new shipment or something. Parking lot can be quite busy, and grocery store itself can be quite busy. It's the only big supermarket around that intersection.
Good prices. Fruit and veg unwrapped for us bunny huggers to use our own produce bags. Pity they don't sell them. P C products available. Cashiers fast and efficient. Parking is often a challenge.
This shop is ok. Great location. The isles are clean and roomy. Expect it to be busy any time of the day! There's so many selection on fresh produce BUT not much in the organic section. There are days that the organic shelf is empty. I always buy organic and it would be helpful if they check and refill the shelves. I bought the FV KESO BREAD only to find out that the bread had some spots that had molds. It's not expired, the expiration date was in the next 5 days, but yeah, it was moldy. And that's gross! U have to check it when u buy this kind of bread, the molds usually is in between the breads.
My wife and I go shopping together so it's faster (safer with less time exposure), also because she can't life heavy items. This is the only location that restricted my wifes First responder ID for express pass. Guess they don't care about first responders. What a shame.
Always crazy busy. Stuff gets sold out very quickly. It's very dense with the aisles and produce section not a lot of space.
4 Stars for Variary of products. Very limited choice of fresh fish. Also usually quite busy.
This no frills has a quite a variety of food selection, from kosher, international and domestic goods. Vegetable selection is quite good. Although, only complaint is that aisle are too small, even have pillars of the structure within aisles so going around with the cart gets that "GTA rush hour" feeling.
They recently started to include more organic items in general but are still lacking in organic dairy like yogurt. Please include a organic, grass fed greek yogurt.
It's a decent np frils, but the meat selection is not the best.
This place can get very busy, especially if there is a good sale on currently. People seem to buy the sale items rather quickly though, so there is usually a very limited supply of the good deals. Oh and I forgot to mention, the cashiers are awesome here!
It's a medium sized grocery store so the selection isn't bad but not as good as some others. About a quarter of the store is kosher so that is good if you require it but does limit their capacity for non kosher items. Staff is pretty friendly, and the produce has been pretty good. Shelves are usually stocked. Bring a quarter if you need a shopping cart.
This place is so busy! Good selection and stock.
Produce is always fresh, I like to buy meat and chicken here when it's on sale. Stuff is very helpful.
It's a great place with a lot of affordable produce. I don't know if it's how the store is laid out or people just don't know or understand that other people want to pass, but it's super frustrating navigating aisles. That's where I dropped one star. But great produce, great cheap alternatives to name brand stuff, great staff, and lots of options.
Excellent No Frills supermarket located at Bathurst and Wilson. Huge store with a great assortment of most all foods, especially Kosher meat and groceries. Low prices. Free parking.
Always got things I need , rating the store 5/5 But some of the customers here don't know what personal space is , if you have high anexity from being around alot of people I won't come here it's a busy spot
Busy!!! My 1st time there. Went to buy some kosher chicken breast for dinner I made for a baseball buddy at his home. Staff very, very helpful. After telling me where items I needed to buy where, one asked if I was sure I got everything on my list. Busy place and staff asked if all ok.
A well stocked store with fresh produce and all at reasonable rates. However the express lines or lines for less items (1 to 8 or 1 to 12) don't really move fast. Usually the cashiers at the other registers are more efficient and fast.
I was surprised when I paid in the counter, so affordable if you choose wisely
Not a great experience. Staff not very knowledgeable and underwelming in general. Food, fruit and produce was ok- selections limited.
It needs updating. It has a kind of USSR soviet feel to it, complete with smelly blood stained, 80% empty meat refrigerators containing way over priced gray meat. The produce is hit and miss. Some of the prices are ok some of the time but this is always a last resort for groceries It just feels dirty- especially the meat. Also they dont sell lamb
Great prices, love that they carry a wide range of Carribean and tropical foods.
Very busy on the weekends and long lineups even with all cashier's open. However, the main reason to go here is their produce which is absolutely top notch. Fresh and cheap with good selection (they run out of specials sometimes, though) and they are very careful to get rid of stuff that is no longer fresh. Kudos for how well this place is run.
Very organized store and fully stacked very easy to find anything you need plus factor the great customer service. The stuff are very helpful when you need help. I really recommended this store. Keep up the good work guy's and stay safe.
The storei is a complete disaster like something left over from the fifties desperately needing renovation. It's difficult to find products and even more difficult to get staff to help you find them. A lot of time specials are sold out and you don't even know it because they're not in their proper places in the store. Today I tried to use a prepaid Vanilla MasterCard and their payment technology at the cash rejected whereas every other store on the planet accepts them without a problem. It's really a shame because they have some great deals but all of these negative issues collectively turn you off eventually.
Busy place but maybe that's because we are approaching holiday season. They have unusual tropical fruits like dragon fruit, sweet limes, mangoes figs and organic dates etc. For the low prices they charge, that's not a bad variety, even though the quality is not very good because they are not ripe or sweet.
Friendly staff, always a good selection of Kosher food readily available. Well priced. What more could you want?
Some cashiers are very strict about price matching but most are fine. Very good place to get good deals through price matching. They match Food Basics, FreshCo, Price Chopper, Loblaws, Metro, No Frills, Sobeys, Real Canadian Superstore, Valu-mart, T&T Supermarket, and Fortinos and you can just show the flyers on your phone.
If you want to be exposed to Covid, shop at No Frills Bathurst and Wilson. My husband and I went there at about 9:30am December 30 and it was so crowded in the produce area that we were literally elbow to elbow with the other shoppers. There was no monitoring at the door, no sanitation of carts and no social distancing. We felt extremely unsafe and purchased only a few essentials and not our usual shopping. I spoke with the manager to express my concerns. He told me that they were following the legislated capacity limits "hourly" but how can you do that without having anyone at the door keeping count? I feel very sorry for the staff, who are at high risk of being exposed. You have to do better in these dangerous times.
busy no frills. friendly staff
Convenient, big diversity of grocery, fresh fruits and vegetables. Meat is pefect. Acceptable prices.
I just called the number from the website , the 1866 number. I inquired when are they gonna start selling the kosher for passover product. I got shock when the customer service told me that i have to go to the store and ask them due to they dont have their number. I told her that COVD19 is spreading n as much as possible to stay home then ur gonna tell me to go to the store to ask those questions only and u dont know the number, u shouldnt be a customer service then. Website of no frills at bathurst n wilson doesnt have a direct line office. I love this no frills due they are selling lots of kosher products with a fair price only.
I only deliver there. Must be good tho, there was a line to get in at opening
It's a convenient place to shop for groceries especially if they are on sale. Lots of parking space, the carts are being disinfected after every use.
Horrible customer service, outdated produces, some cashiers and staff are very rude. They don't listen to you when you have a questions or concerns.
Went shopping today with an 83 y.o employer at No Frills in Bathurst and Wilson. We bought 5 packs of water (heavy) and some other light stuff. When we are to check out and my employer asked some help from the cashier if she can call someone to help us put the water in the car. She said line is busy and we have to wait 5 mins. She glanced at me saying, "cant you carry it yourself?" I said its obviously heavy, then she replied so how can you put it in your house if you can't carry it? Such an attitude. I want to talk back but I don't want to sound rude. We needed help. First, I have to assist my employer because she can hardly walk from the store to the parking lot. Second, we won't bother asking any help if we think we can lift. And BTW, we left without any help from you, I feel bad that my employer need to lift the water from the cart to the car. Such a shame to the cashier and to one employee we asked by the door not to help us! You've just lost a valued costumer.
I’ve been a customer at this store ( No Frills; Loblaws before that)for the past 45 years. Just returned from awful shopping experience there, so much so that I left all my groceries while I was waiting at the cash, and walked out. The store was relatively quiet and I took my 2 grocery items to the first cashier. It appeared that the gentleman ahead of me was almost finished cashing out. However his mask was pulled down under his chin. The cashier said nothing to him. My thinking that his transaction would only last a few minutes was mistaken. It became apparent that he didn’t have enough money to pay for all his groceries. Then began a process of swapping various grocery items already scanned for other items in order to reach the amount of money he had. All the time the mask was under his chin and the cashier said nothing. I began to get impatient as , during the time I was in line, 3 patrons had already gone through the line next to us. The cashier noticed my impatience but rather than acknowledging by saying something like...”this is going to take some extra time perhaps you’d like to go to another cash” she just stared at me without acknowledgement. At one point she leaned in tho the customer to reassure him not to be bothered by my reaction. Eventually, as I became increasingly aggravated the cashier said “ He’s having some difficulty..”. I stated. “ why not at least ask him to put his mask back on?,” to which she responded, “why don’t you tell him yourself rather than just getting impatient.” Since I’d now been waiting in line close to 10 minutes and her shift was now ending and another cashier began the process of transferring cash trays, I left my goods and walked out. I did let the manager representative know about the incident, during which time the cashier intervened and complained that I was expressing my impatience too obviously and too vocally. I work hard for my money so I may as well spend it at Metro, a few block away, and not have to deal with rude and insulting store personnel.
Parking space is medium limited, so better not to go there in a busy time. Good shopping experience, would consider to go there again.
Awesome Kosher section! Could use a good mopping.
It was always the convenient and best place to buy groceries. Most of the staff is very helpful and friendly.
This No Frills has a really good selection and a large Kosher section. However, the store is always dirty and the lines to cash out are consistently very long because they're never fully open. The produce section is terrible. I don't buy produce here anymore because it's always bad within a couple of days. I don't know if that's the store's fault or the supplier's fault, but I usually shop at No Frills and I haven't had this problem at other locations, so take that as you will.
Quite confusing store - it takes longer than usual to go through the shopping list. Pure choise of fresh meat and fish. Good place for shopping from time to time, but wouldn't consider it as my main shop. ATM (Presidence Finance) Inside
Great supermarket as for there meat and vegatable they are way better than most no frills. They also have a good selection of Jewish food and the selection for groceries are good and way cheaper than shopping at some of the high end grocery stores. Great place to shop.
Prices are great. Make sure to check out the flyers before going. Thursday is the best day to go to make sure you don't miss out on the popular specials. Kosher section available.
Great service I can always get what I need thanks
This place was a dive when Pat was running it. I gave it another chance and John and Danielle are doing an amazing job!!!! Quality has been much better, cleaner and organized!!
They carry the lowest price merchandise and their sales are great. Stocked to the ceiling with international, diet and kosher goods. Unfortunately, they have the client base to match ... so very busy. Staff and they have alot, try to be helpful but are overwhelmed.
Clean & good staff. This location is very busy so a lot of shelves are sometimes empty.
Both Asian and Canadian foods can be purchased here. Huge parking lot. Wheelchair accessible. Different kinds of beer here. Water jugs and bottled water. Pop drinks. And many more
Fruits and vegetables were poor quality compared to other No Frills I have been too. The prices were also higher. The meats appears to injected with red dye. I won't shop at that location again. Very dissappointed.
Lowest prices on many products. Good quality produce section. Good Kosher section, with fresh meats and poultry. Shopping experience though is not relaxing. Narrow aisles, and untidy in many areas of the store. Packing is also stressful since you bag yourself , and people are waiting for you to finish. It's called No Frills, but these issues are not frills to ignore.
Large store, always plenty of products in stock, big frozen goods and fresh food selections as well. Kosher section huge. Staff helpful and no long time delays at cashiers.Sad to say that since new owners took over some things have gone downhill. Still plenty of stuff but many empty shelves, products missing, prices unclear. At first thought effects of pandemonium and supply chain delays but after a year just plain sloppy. And many products are PC stuff which is their bread and butter. Too bad
On the rare occasion when I step foot into this place to get an item or two, I am reminded why I vowed years ago to never shop there again. It's a pigsty. Some customers are such low creatures that they leave garbage and perishable items they took but no longer want on the shelves. Seeing customers picking through the grapes and scarfing them, or ripping apart corn cobs like so many clamorous swine, is revolting. The parking lot is equally derelict, and the cart-return at the door next to the overflowing garbage can sometimes smells of piss. This place is redolent of the breakdown of social rules and mores, and should be avoided by people with basic standards of propriety and cleanliness.
So fed up!! They never have any clean hand baskets.
Pros: Large Kosher Section, Most items usually in stock, friendly cashiers (thank you for your service especially during this time) Cons: A lot is fit into a small space so aisles get crowded quickly, produce is a hit or miss
I got everything whatever I need... Thanks
Very reasonable prices for produce and packaged food. Offers a wide selection of Kosher meats, dairy, and packaged foods. Sometimes no stock available on certain shelf items. However quality fruits and vegetables are not always present. To have a reasonable selection of quality produce recommend shopping mornings between Tuesday - Friday.
Seem busy for a Wednesday when I happen to drop by early afternoon. Large store and I did noticed that the staff seem helpful.
The fruits here aren't always fresh. They also don't seem to carry some basic stuff (like dish sponges). I shop here sometimes, only because it's in the neighbourhood.
One of the dirtiest nofrills I've ever shopped at! Stay away! I put most of the blame on whoever works here, and by work here, I mean those in charge of management who are nameless products ;). Whoever orchestrated the event should be held accountable immediately!!
Great place for groceries, very good selection of items
Love the PC organics line. Makes getting staples like spinach and berries a breeze. The asian food aisle has lots to offer. Hectic location. Parking can be a bit dicey but overall manageable to get in and out
Good store all around. Great prices. The fruits & veggies are not good and the issue needs to be addressed (find better suppliers maybe?). I purchased bell peppers, blueberries and avocados and all 3 were rotten within a few days. Had to through it all out.
Not as clean as other nofrills which I usually visit. Also some products which others have can not be found here
Thought this was esteemed musician and novelist John Darnielle's No Frills. Highly disappointed to find otherwise.
What you'd expect from a basic grocery store. Got the goods you need, with no frills. Hah.
Carry a Quarter change to get access to a trolley. Else you could always ask a cashier inside the store. Well kept store with kosher, halal food options. Parking can be a little difficult on a busy weekend
This place has really gone downhill over the last few years. I used to come here quite often as it was a clean supermarket with good prices. Now, it is pretty dirty and the staff is not that helpful. I would rather drive kilometres away to go to another no-frills for my grocery shopping needs. I don’t know what they can do to clean this place up but cleaning would be a good start
Parking is an issue when busy. They worsened the parking when they removed some spots to accomodate tractor-trailers backing into the delivery area. They could have added some spots in front of the handicap area. People park there, and in the removed spots anyway. The store has nice no-parking signs for fire access but does no enforcement.
Pat's No Frills is an amazing place to shop. It has been our main store for 8 years now. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They always seem to have most of the items we need from a grocery store at reasonable prices.
Usually has everything i need in stock - kale and swiss chard and sometimes spinach always seem to get scooped up very quickly even without sales
Prompt service.... in and out with no delay.
Lots of variety. Good prices. Good produce. Clean and bright.
Often very busy which means long check outs and challenging parking. Selection is pretty good for a discount grocery with a very serious attempt to cater to the kosher and Filipino crowd. Price match and redeeming of optimum program points makes it a definite winner.
They let people walk around with no mask they don't care Its happened on a few occasions, they should kick them out protect the other shoppers in the store
A very wonderful venue with fresh groceries & variety of products.
It's a no frills. The aisles are very cramped - so not ideal during Covid times...but am extensive kosher section
Friendly staff and owners. Clean and well stocked. Great prices with a great selection of foods????
Vegetables selection is on the tail end of expiring. Not fresh in the least. Some of the strawberries I purchased were already molded. The two bundles of kale were half bad already.
Everyone has to line up - how is it people 15deep behind me get to go in before me because either a) they have cash or b) they are doing a big shop????? We are all in line I have a HUGE problem that people who are 20th in line go ahead of me! This is the only store that has done this
Could not find sales items in store. Staff were unable to help. As they sent us to one section of the store for it not to be there. Very frustrating visit. Also way too many people in the store
Good no frills but gets very crowded and sometimes all out of whatever is on sale. Still the prices can't be beat and they have more selection of ethnic and kosher foods than any other grocery store in the area.
I will never shop here again. The store was extremely busy and there was not enough cashiers open. The line up to check out was ridiculous! People were nasty. And over the loudspeaker, they were announcing the importance of social distancing!!! How crazy was that? Considering most of the congestion was around the cash! It was a zoo. Not for me!
very disappointing.went in evening before 5 p.m.The security on the main door was rude & insisted on showing his authority.Insisted on I getting into the line even.though I.told him I was a senior but again repeated will.u get into the line or not. There were also 3 others whom.he delayed in allowing them to take the yellow cart in.I think.these guys shud be sent for courtesy training in dealing with customers. This displays poor PR. sorry to give you such a sickening report.Thks for your time.
Good grocery store, good selection, great selection, killer deals and nice employees. Much better than the metro at Lawrence and Bathurst which is possibly the rudest I’ve been to ever. My only suggestion would be to get golden Italian salad dressing. I’m sure it would be a top seller. I’ll probably by up lots of your stock personally. Thanks no frills!
Not bad some of the items I came for were not in stock
Always hit and miss with this grocery store. It’s clean and the people are nice but their produce is limited and always changing. For example, sometimes I can find certain items and the next time it doesn’t exist. Also, I find that half the time they don’t have what’s being advertised in the flyer. It’s No Frills, I don’t expect much but I do expect that items advertised are in stock and ready to sell.
Trying to bake a cake...store is out most flours...out of baking soda. Everytime I go in their shelves are missing a lot items. Between fighting for parking & missing items it looks like I need to find another grocery store.
Good store. Bit crowded.
It's a good No Frills store. Staff and customers are both friendly. I'm used to a bit of drama in the parking lots at other stores too, but everyone was courteous. A pleasant change.
It’s a well laid out store and the prices are very good. It’s also a convenient location to get to and parking is usually not an issue. But not accepting credit cards is just not acceptable in this day and age.
Don't buy fruit here, everytime I do I regret it after. I stupidly bought pears there because they were on sale, when I went to use them they were firm on the outside but rotten in the middle. It's the same everytime peaches pears nectarines. Bananas look ok but when you buy them but they must have been bounced around in the store because bruises appear a day or two later. Your better off buying your fruit at Walmart. Flyer items can often be an issue in that they only order small quantities of some items that sell out in less than a day. It's a classic bait and switch which is actually illegal.
