Accessible location central Lonsdale location. Walking distance from almost anywhere on Lonsdale Ave (especially 10th St. And up). If you are driving there are plenty of underground parking available and store offers validation. Offers a variety of warm meals everyday; indian, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, Pizzas, Soup selection. Usually plenty of cashiers are available and the coffee served at the cafeteria is very good.

It's a huge supermarket with a lot of varieties and in house ice cream stand, cafe, cakes and pastries and a restaurant. The coolest thing about this place is the buggy escalator, your shopping buggies can take a separate escalator and meet you either up or downstairs!

Terrible new self check-out system! Only one actual line open to help customers with a massive line because everyone shopping had big carts not small baskets.... Poor decision on the part of Loblaws. This was one of the better grocery stores around the area, but they keep making small changes, none have been for the better. Error!

Good for most things, however, the meat department is waaaaay over-priced. The deli is almost excellent and the choice is decent. You can skip the produce isle altogether as there are plenty of cheap Persian markets in the area that offer fresh veggies at much better prices.

Hidden deep within Loblaws City Market is one of the most inexpensive breakfast sandwich places on the North Shore. $5.50 gets you a delicious BELT (bacon, egg, lettuce and tomato) AND a medium coffee. I could understand if the BELT was horrible and the coffee sucked, but they are both delicious and made by a friendly City Market employee. Pro tip: have your parking validated at customer service while they make your sandwich.

Usually pretty good. However: Check your OJ to make sure it isnt leaking. Always, always check the expiry dates on food you are buying. I have literally seen expired (as in past date on label) bread and meat left on the shelf for sale. Occasionally they leave rotting produce on the shelf in produce aisle. Excessively bright orange floor looks tacky but whatever. Check your eggs before you buy them as they leave cracked egg cartons on the shelf. Occasionally the older ladies working customer service stand are inexplicably rude. Irritating app you have to manually refresh every week just to collect points on specific grocery items. Price labels often missing from shelf or items stuck in front of wrong price label. Always double check your receipt to make sure you werent ripped off by mislabeled/mispriced products. Some items (but not all) very overpriced. Underground parking frequented by individuals who do not know how to drive. Pharmacy service often slow to help customers in line.

I really like this store because it's modern and well laid out. Since it's a small store compared to the big Superstores, it doesn't have the quantity of products but it has a nice selection in most categories. The deli and the hit food areas are great as is the desert counter with cakes and other delectable foods. This store even has an eating area with a lovely view of the mountains and street. The underground parking is free if you get your parking ticket stamped too!

City Market is a very pleasant place to shop. There is a decent range of goods, including some delicacies. You can pick up a number of different varieties of "ready to eat" meals and there is a small café seating area. The store appears to cater to the urban shopper - smaller sized packages of meat, for example - as opposed to Real Canadian Superstore, which is a part of this "family".

This location is busy one. Lots of food options for lunch, and decent selection of groceries and items. A bit more upscale than Superstore and beyond but that is the reason it is a City market and who they are trying to target. For the neighborhood, there are no other options unless you head down to Whole Foods at 13th.

Overall; The store is clean and the products appear to be fresh. It is fairly well organized so that even a new customers can easily maneuver around to find what they need. Deli; The staff will warm up or toast some of the products so that you can eat warm food in a seating area by the food court(?) area within the store. The price seems a little bit high but then again I think that way for many other stores, too. So, please take this opinion of mine with grain of salt. Tables and eating area; I think this are needs to be maintained clean. Both times I ate there, I noticed spillage of soup, bread crumbs and many other unidentifiable mess in around the large tables but also the small tables by the entrance. Would I return in the future? Yes but may not eat there any more. Take out might work better for me.

Awesome store, but the pizza is often kinda iffy. Gotten the pizza a half dozen times, the first time when they were open in it genuinely wasn't cooked all the way through. Most recently (today) the cheese was a bit iffy. But maybe I'm more bummed about them being out of the $1 Arizona ice teas. The pizza slices are large! If they were a bit more tasty, I'd be ecstatic. But maybe I'm asking for too much? Prices are excellent. Volume for cost, the pizza is still 5/5, but the flavor really really put me off.

The location is really convenient, parking is free in a busy area, and their selection is quite good. Smaller specialty selection than somewhere like Whole Foods, but not quite that expensive. Often find fruits not ripe enough or too ripe (mango, avocados,....local peaches with no taste). Staff is super nice but lack training or knowledge of the basics (onions versus endives) Pastries were ditched out at 8pm instead of being on sale. Seems like some changes could occur. Still don t understand the cost of the bags (5cts) to prevent what? Remember the times that all stores were providing paper bags, for free. Good selection and diversity of products but in general a bit pricier than superstore (still loblaws though) Baguettes are often stale unfortunately unless you are lucky enough to go when they out of the oven Convenient for the last minute items forgotten or small grocery shopping list

This is my favorite grocery store. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable although it is sometimes a bit of a challenge to find someone. There is a great selection of food at different price levels. They carry a lot of the President's Choice options as expected as well as some pricier ones. The store is bright and colourful and it makes the shopping experience very pleasant. The parking lot situation is still a bit iffy but it is a lot better than it used to be. Before there were tight spots and awkward corners but it is better now. It is centrally located so near to a Starbucks, medical clinic and my favorite Esso gas station. My favourite thing about the store is the free samples. Especially around the deli they are happy to help you sample meats and cheese. Some stores just do not get it so after doing at this store you are spoiled for other stores. Don't forget to ask the cashier to validate your parking ticket! When you shop at this store and use the Optimum card the points really add up. Take advantage of the Optimum deals, let your points build over the year and take advantage of it at Christmas!

Small veggies, ridiculously high prices,small portions for everything else. The only real redeeming factor is the rotisserie chickens but even those you can get at Westview for cheaper. There's a farmers market down on 14th and lonsdale that has way better veggies for a fraction of the price, and the persian store next door has fresh meats with bigger portions.

Aesthetically the store is great. And of the 20 or so times I've shopped there I find the staff friendly and helpful. The reason I am reviewing this store is because of the disappointing purchase I made today. I bought the fully cooked free range chicken for $12.99. I had purchased this item a week ago and it was divine...so juicy. It was so good that I went back today to get another but unfortunately the chicken was gross and dry. First of all the paper bag the chicken was in said packaged on Oct 20 & best before Oct 21. Finding that odd I asked the staff behind the counter how that was possible. They looked at each other obviously confused as to what to say and finally one said it was an error from their labelling machine. I accepted their explanation & took one of the chickens. Oh what a mistake....the chicken was so dry it could have been used for kindling. There is no chance in h-ll that it was cooked today; it might have been reheated today but definitely not cooked. In fact as I write this I recall the staff person I spoke to said they just cooked the chicken an hour ago and that would have been 4:00. The wings and legs...were the worst. The meat just under the skin was brownish and leathery rather than white and tender. Yick! I was soooo looking forward to diving into the chicken with a delicious class of chilled white wine. Thankfully the wine was delicious.

Non-existent customer service desk. Customer service is being used as a Till so when you do a flashfoods order you have to line up not once but twice as they continue to help other customers buying items while you quickly pick up. Instead of being a dedicated customer service desk which would take each transaction till the end to resolve the issue or transaction requiring assistance they just keep ringing people in like any other till.

It's almost always the same lady at the coffee bar and she is very polite and highly efficient with food production. I am overall extremely pleased with this store. They sell some things I can't find anywhere else other than specialty stores. Parking is free with any purchase. Usually it does get quite busy, especially during evenings and weekends but they open all tills plus self serve ones so the wait time isn't insane. But there is always a down side - they are quite overpriced. What you get for what you pay doesn't give you much value, and you can save money going few blocks up to Persian market instead.

I went to the North Vancouver Loblaws an at 3:30 and bought 7 or 8 items then went to customer service for ten loonies for laundry and the woman employee rudely say nope nope nope, wagging her head. She could have been polite. I have used l have used loblaws for 20 years. I will not be returning because of that woman. She was an older white lady with very dark straight shoulder length hair. I then called that loblaw’s manager‘s extension 3 times to make a complaint and there was no message system and no one answered.

Super Bowl was the worst ever, and to go along with a horrible Super Bowl I made the horrible decision to buy a bucket of wings and potato wedges at Loblaws for $20. Put these out for my guests and they were plain horrible and inedible. First time in my 56 years of living that I could not finish even one of these vile chunks of garbage. Were these old and outdated, ready for disposal and some genius decided to sell them to unsuspecting victims? 36 wings and 8 got half eaten. The rest went where they should have gone in first place. When this first opened i loved it. I don't know who's running it now but it's dreadful, limited fresh produce every time especially organic, I can never get organic Kale, I end up having to go elsewhere for veggies. It appears that stuff is randomly put on shelves and not together, I used to buy organic good chocolate and lots of other organic items beans, grains, flours but just gave up as I couldn't find them anymore. Today arrived no carts to be found upstairs so went to the car park to go and get one, went to the pharmacy section to purchase band aids and found the organic chocolate next to band aids. It makes no sense it takes me twice as long to shop as I can never find anything. Why are things not put together, mexican food had a row of salmon and tins of tuna today. I like specific higher end products but there never together. I give up shopping here. Why can you not set up your supermarket like European stores, all cheeses together all fours, grains etc together so you can make an informed choice on brands and products. Its literally all over the shop. Please get organized it's a beautiful store with a wonderful view from the check out.

This place has the worst customer service department. The two plus size women that work at this customer service/lotto counter should not be in a customer service position. I have never seen such irritated individuals required to help people.In Aug 2018 I asked if they would price match a product that was on sale at London Drugs, the lady said I needed a paper flyer. I told her I have their flyer on my phone, she told me it had to be paper. I said this is the digital age, their flyers are emailed to me as are Loblaws flyers. She said no because I could have forged the sale values. I looked at her and couldn’t believe she is accusing me of fraud. At this point I have not shopped at Loblaws since then and will never again. I have moved my corporate and personal shopping to Safeway where they know what customer service means. I get deal with people in customer service who get paid to help you not lean on the counter like you have interrupted their all day break.

Disappointed by Exceptionally poor return policy and Customer Service at return area. Last week Attempted to return an unopened box of dog food purchased Oct 4 2018 to Loblaws Park Royal after reading the package (second ingredient was Gluten) and was told I had to bring it to the store of purchase-Loblaws on Lonsdale. Brought to Lonsdale Friday October 19th. The customer service clerk would not accept citing a 2 week return policy. Yep. A 2 week return policy and yep 1 day past. Oh and I was also purchasing groceries at the time so I suggested a store credit. Nope. Hard line restrictive 2 week return policy. Told the clerk I was unaware of 2 week policy as this is the first item I have ever returned and explained I attempted to bring item to Park Royal. Clerk replied “that’s unfortunate for you”. I then stated “this makes me question whether I should continue shopping with Loblaws”. Clerks reply was “that’s okay”. So Lonsdale Loblaws not one cent of my family $1500 month grocery spend will be spent at your store. Unfortunate for Loblaws as we also entertain quite a bit and will no longer recommend your deli and cheese selection to our guests. In fact will openly share this experience. Back to Bosa and Stongs for this shopper. Orange is my new Black (list) as it’s not about the $16 box of dog food it’s about an Uber restrictive return policy and uber rude clerk who should not be representing the store in a customer service capacity. On the upside the SPCA will be getting a donation.

Good location on Lonsdale. Parking is normally free for customers. Good range of Loblaw products. Pleasant coffee/ice cream counter with seating and view of North Shore mountains. Customer service can be a bit hit and miss depending who is there.

About 2-3 years ago, I tried the macaroni and cheese from the deli type thing. I kid you not, I fell in love with this macaroni. I could eat it every day with no complaints whatsoever. I recently got braces and although it was soft enough to eat, my mouth wasn’t cooperating so well so I couldn’t eat it. I was completely heartbroken. But anyways, get the macaroni and cheese from Loblaws. 10/10, delicious.

This is my favourite grocery store. They actually have free yoga classes some mornings in the foyer. This place has a coffee bar, parking, deli, bakery, butcher and a Joe Fresh clothing store on the first floor. I like this place because it is a nice mixture of high end artisan/gourmet while still carrying cheaper Loblaws products (Presidents Choice, etc). The view from the check outs makes you forget you're waiting in line at the grocery store. A gem on the North Shore!

I think some one should be making sure that regular store shoppers are not allowed in the stores during hours that are restricted for the elderly. It defeats the whole purpose of special hours to protect those at risk and allow them to get their essential items.

it makes me frustrated to see when such a nice store during 8 years got this much dirty floor, full of flies, none of its staff can't speak or understand English , customer service has her own attitude she is so loud, their price is much higher than Superstore, I was there last night at 8:30 and looking to find a person in produce for over 15 minutes to ask my question nobody was over there, won't suggest to anybody anymore, will prefer to buy my grocery shopping from Whole food or superstore. staff are not familiar with their stuff. if you like to loose your money and respect go there. and not enjoy your grocery shopping after work hour.

The thing that discourages me from shopping here is that MANY of the sales are buy 2 for $x. or buy 5 for $x. If you only buy 1 you pay regular price or not as good a sale price. In a day and age where we are encouraging less wastefullness and smaller apartments, etc. I do not have a pantry to support buying 5 pasta sauces to get the sale prices.

The prices here are laughable. They overcharge on everything especially compared to their super centre. You shop here for convince and the feeling of being sophisticated. I will say though their selection of hot food for lunch and dinner is delicious.

The only thing good from my shop was the sale pricing on some items and the variety in the grocery department. I only bought things from the grocery and the bakery. The service recieved at the bakery was lack luster and unattentive, and the products tasted either stale or very artificial.

Great place to order custom cake, they made roaring Dinosaur birthday cake for us and our son liked it very much. They were happy to make changes to the cake order. Also, one place to shop for most of the grocery needs.
