This Fruit Store is included in the category of Farmers' market.
Good selection of foods and items.
My friend and I go almost weekly for the crepes, but the variety and frames of the food produce and products mean we inevitably leave with other items. My friend especially likes the falafel balls.
love the farmers market love the freash eggs and all the fresh vegetables love going there better then going to the grocery store always buy wht i can there so i wont have to get it at t he grocery store
Always a great place to get fresh produce. And explore local talent. From food to jewelry to soaps or hand made items there is something for everyone.
Good selection of things at the market but very very crowded.
Love the fresh flowers and produce.
Amazing vendors, great local produce and crafting items, reasonable pricing, great atmosphere.
Good produce in the summer, nice people, not too expensive as long as you're careful. Great baked goods too, and the samosa ladies are awesome!
A great place to get your fruits and vegetables and more. It is quite busy on Saturday, very sparse on Tuesday. There is live music every Saturday morning in the summer and often on any nice day some good buskers.
lots of selection! Clean and organized shopping experience
Good selection but a small market.
Great farm hometown feel. Good selection of vendors. Great food, fresh fruit vegetables and lots of homemade home cooked items.
Fresh vegies and cooked food available! Yum!
Amazing community meeting every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Lots of parking place, various events here.
Love the atmosphere of the Farmer's Market. So much variety, and great prices on fresh products. Hard to navigate on busy days with a stroller, but manageable if you are willing to be patient.
Variety of local great local produce and products
A good variety of local fresh foods, plus some ready to eat munchies and a musician.
Great selection, friendly people, great prices, and always fresh. Get there nice and early to ensure parking. Always loved the egg bread they sell. Feels great to support local!
Awesome to get out again!
A wonder experience with awesome products from home based businesses or small businesses. A must see.
Love going to see what yummy treats are available, buy fresh fruit and veggies, meet new vendors and sample new foods or products I've never tried before.
Wonderful nice Marketplace
The St. Catharine's farmer's market is a great place to visit and discover local vendors. There are shops selling produce, baked goods, food ready-to-eat, an assortment of cheese, and other items. …
Local produce and prepared food as well
Don't forget to get breakfast from Jose's. It's a weekly ritual in this house.
Hadn't been to the market in several years. Was pleasantly surprised. Wide variety of produce, even wine.
For all your freshly and organically grown veggies and fruits... P.s there are many more goodies you can get from this place
Super market place is oso the plase for meeting or the paty do you know that,?
A bit pricey .. very little competition to sell their products.. .. great selection but almost everyone has the same thing for sale
Had a wonderful time taking a horse and buggy ride at the market and getting into the Christmas spirit. Music and hot apple cider, fresh food and all the merchants!
Always a nice variety. Jose's food is not to be missed!
Variety of local produce on sale
Awesome market with a great selection!
Great place for lunch
Great place to see Ole friends and neighbors.
Excellent market, lots of good eats
Farm to table market freshness. Open Tues, Thurs and Saturday. Don't miss it.
It's a typical market. A little over priced. I wish the city wouldn't allow the vendors to absorb all the parking.
Great local vendors. Love the Saturday market
Go during a market day and buy some samosas. The best I've ever had!
I am always impressed by the artisan purity of passion present in everything graciously offered here, from incredible fragrant blueberry honey to peaches that squirt sunshiney juices of gold standard, cherries of jewelled perfection so smootchingly betwitching, you must enjoy them with your eyes closed, the basil, the walnut rye, the freshly roasted almonds....I could go on, plenty abounds. The art of arriving at the perfect moment, the season's height: a challenge I am happy to accept....support our local heroes, vote with your tastebuds for our farmers delicious obsessions!
A friend of mine has a table in the market, meeting the vendors has been great and how amazing the work they put into it. Sparky the Firedog is a hit!!
I love that in the winter they stay open. Amazing indian food
Great place to pick up local produce. Awesome selection of local vendors
Great place, nice selection of food, flowers and stuff good place to eat breakfast
Craft show great time
Nice vendors. Friendly service
Great collection of vendors.
Lovely little market to spend an afternoon at. Not too big but lots of delightful vendors with wonderful wares to choose from.
Never dull experience. Lots of vendors and variety to shop from locals. Highly recommend.
I wish there were more venders and more gluten free options available.
One of the easiest ways to support local businesses. Everyone is so friendly and appreciates your patronage. I can get most of the staples I need along with some extra treats! Go around lunch time and try some yummy empanadas or crepes or any of the prepared meal vendors! There's usually a great selection of fresh flowers, baked goods, deli meats, eggs, cheese, fruit, vegetables, honey, etc.
Great produce!
Always a good selection of food and wares.
I absolutely love the farmer's market.
Good selection of vendors
Not great in the off season
Best farmers market!! Amazing selections and vendors!
Normally go on thursdays an theres quite a bit to look at but Saturdays! Omg theres like 2x more stuff, music, loots of food to pick from.. overall cool place to check out either Thursday or Saturdays
It's better on Saturdays as all the vendor are there, weekdays is kind of quiet
Great selection, friendly vendors, good variety!
Great friendly vendors
Great vendors even in the winter. Plenty of food. Summer has more vendors.
Lovely and friendly farmers and great produce for sale there.
Just love coming here when I can. Fun, friendly vibe. All the vendors are wonderful. My usual: Fresh veg. Fresh eggs. Empanadas. Croissants. Carrot/banana bread. Oh and those fried egg sandwiches! Do wish they'd bring back the espresso machine for real coffee. That was awesome. The whole experience shows the strong community focus that is so special in St. Catherines. You gotta go there.
I love the farmers market! They've always got good stuff. And the people are friendly. I love coming for the organic stuff. And the prices are definitely decent. Recommended! :)
A real market. Real food, real people.
The enclosed market is great for nasty weather, and with lots of windows and doors nice weather isn't missed. Fantastic location and easily accessible, the only improvement would be to make it bigger :)
I love coming here to get fresh fruit. It's cheap and helps support the farmers.
Small but nice market
Nice friendly people. Fresh produce, good variety, clean premises.
Fun versatile space. Friendly vendors with great products. The samosas are awesome and reasonably priced.
I use the Honk app to pay for parking ahead of time, and the vendors are great with such variety. Also outside seating in the nice weather.
Always support our local farmers and local businesses before any other!!!! Plus it's always the healthy choice. Thank you to our farmers♥️
The coffee and samosas are amazing.
Crowded but fun to visit
Very spacious, lots of farmers to choose from with usually lots of good to choose from, spices, soups ect and usually reasonable priced.
So much good food and nifty crafts.
Right in downtown, many options for all types of people. Mostly I go tuesdays for Bea's delicious samosas and soup. Worth the trip there for that alone! Also, the Niagara VegFest is hosted here each summer.
Always a nice morning visit. Variety and value. Friendly familiar vendors. A visit to Helen's Delicatessen included just around the corner.
Excellent! I enjoyed my time it was my first time going. There was live music, so much to choose from, everything is so fresh and delicious and you can always bargain a little. Totally recommend to go. There open 6-2 Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Go check it out wont be disappointed.
Every Saturday the vendors that participate are locals. There's an older lady who sells fresh eggs that we started buying our eggs from. The local farmers participating are very friendly, and the produce are so much better knowing it was pretty much grown in your backyard so to speak. They also have an amazing Mexican food vendor, Eh José and the food is pretty authentic and delicious. We also love the vendor that sells fresh perogies. There is also a lady that sells the best samosas in the city. All in all, I get my veggies and fruits from here on a weekly basis unless I need something off the hop that I don't have and have to visit my nearest grocery store. This is one good and enjoyable way to support local farmers.
Not a good time of year. Very few stalls.
Lots of different foods both fresh and prepared
Great selection and reasonable prices. Feels great to support local farmers and businesses
The market quickly becomes a weekly habit. Great vendors with excellent produce. It does get quite busy so try to get there early.
It had little to offer but it might have been because of the pandemic
Local produce and local food vendors...awesome.
Excellent quality and price!
Tuesday's have less vendors but I got most of what I needed today.
My family got me a Cinnamon Bun there , then I went back and got my self one a bigger one for $10.00 one mmm good.
Lots of fresh goodies!
Great market! Many wonderful and friendly vendors ranging from meats, veggies and even some crafts. Always a good way to start a Saturday :)
Love it here ❤???????????? been going since I was young and now I get to take my daughter. The different vendors food are always so good and fresh fruit and veggies are delicious. Never had a problem. There is always a variety of many other things here. Although there is less right now due to covid.
Awesome selection of local produce and foodstuffs! Mexican food is great for breakfast!
Summers best destination. Peaches plums nectarines
Love the market in fall...and getting to know the farmers and vendors. We are fortunate to have it in our community.
I wasn't expecting that there is a lot of vendors.I am glad that I visited the farmer's market.A lot of choices from fresh vegetables to food. The samosas and mediterranean food as well as empanada( Fiesta Empanada), baked pastries such as tarts and pies. We have to support our St Catharines farmer's market.A lot of varieties. They are well organized and when it comes to safety they have a line to observe social distancing and everybody is wearing their mask.Well done to all the vendors and the organizers of this market.
I love my weekly trip to the farmer's market in downtown st. catharines. I mainly go for the fresh fruit and vegetables but I always end up leaving with so much more! The beautiful fresh flowers that brighten my home in this dreary season, the fantastic food that is available. I love the gluten free and vegan options that they have available. I recently discovered a vendor that makes the most fabulous vegan soup. Yum! I love the products that are available, the atmosphere and the fact that i'm supporting local businesses.
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday fresh local veggies, meat, cheese, bread, deserts. My greatest find was NATURAL LIP BALM & NATURAL MOSQUITO SPRAY!
Always love the market. Go support it!
Fresh produce friendly vendors
Very nice to have a local market, and so close to downtown, the vendors are always helpful, especially Joe who is in the area of the market square closest towards the public library who sells all kinds of fruits, veggies and honey to Vulies whos close by but more towards King Street who sells Kurtis Coffee which shes always happy doing. Though Ive heard and have seen signs that some of the farmers here get their produce from department stores which I avoid, unlike Elva who used to represent Rhizome Farms... wish she was still there.
There is always something of interest in the market. Bakery, produce, meat, snacks etc,. You name it, they got it. And the shopkeepers are so warm and nice!
Will be buying produce from here from now on. Husband and son enjoyed the gyros they had.
Always enjoy going.
A good mix of vendors and very personable, great shopping experience.
Did a great Mexican tradition, Day of the Dead sugar skull decorations, awesome experience
My only criticism is that it seems like the city doesn’t put much money into advertising the market and there is nowhere to sit and eat in the colder weather. My suggestion would be to eliminate some of the “less desirable” vendors and move the picnic tables from the outside, indoors in the winter. On the Tuesday and Thursday markets, there’s usually extra space anyways so why not have some seating? Would make for a better experience.
Love going to the market for fresh veggies and fruit as well as baking.
Love the fresh veggies and meat
Remember to bring Canadian money. Lots of interesting produce and foods. A little music as well.
Love it.
It's small but I was able to find most vegetables I eat and on top of that some nice locally made cheese and salami
I love it here. I go once a week and everyone is so friendly, the food is high quality, locally grown, cheap, and GOOD. It's not gross "all organic" you sometimes get where there are blemishes and bugs in/on the food, it's GOOD! They also have amazing breakfast/lunch options, and amazing fresh bread and good meats! Check this place out!
Awesome local businesses
Lots of selection here and it's nice to be able to help the farmers the locals food is great
Omg the Mangos!!
The police followed me there. I was enraged. I wanted to dig up my machine gun and go Terminator on the cop shop.
Not a very big market but we came from Waterloo where we had the St Jacobs market. This one pales in comparison and only took about 10 minutes to go through
Very nice selection of produce, fruits, cheese, pastries. Lovely all around. With some live music too.
Great variety of food!!
This is an ok Farmers market. You get a distinct feeling that the vendors cater to a gentrified clientele. Your just as likely to find vegan cheese from half way around the world as you are local produce. It lacks the rustic charm of other markets like St Jacob's market. Also if your intention is to buy local food, use common sense and talk to the vendors. If you buy cauliflower in January in Canada it's almost certainly imported.
The Market has been a proud part of our cities. It's a great time to purchase items like produce and fruit while enjoying the cool elements. They have always been polite amid knowing they won't get home from the day making the quota, due to Covid-19.
Great farmers market! Tons of local farmers, artisans, meat, eggs, baked goods, etc
Needs to expand, not enough room to move around and prices are a bit steep for produce. Could usemore vegan meal options.
Always a great time at the Farmer's Market. There's always lots to see and do here. We like to go on Saturday mornings to pick up our fresh fruit and veg for the week. The vendors are all extremely friendly and helpful. Be sure to get there before 9am if you're looking for hot ticket items like salad greens. They go fast! Do yourself a favour and spend some time here supporting our local vendors and our city.
Great local selections!! Do yourself a favor and make time to go for lunch
Disappointed with the limited vendors and varieties on site. Drove all the way there and only found few people are shopping there.
Wonderful selection of fresh produce baked foods and local meats.
He José best tacos ???? in town.
Lots of great vendors! Support local!:)
I always love visiting the market.
A vital part of the City of St. Catharines - friendly vendors, great sense of community, delicious food!
Fresh everything. This is a must visit place.
Good local food such as sausages, ham, local cheeses
Excellent selection of products, moderate pricing, festive ambience.
Oh my this market is a must see and spend time at.. very friendly vendeurs and the produces are all local.
Very very cool place to go to the farmers market every saturday morning, pickup fresh bread and fruit, maybe even have lunch at one of the local stands.
Good market with an excellent seasonal and rotating selection of vendors and produ ccx e and goods!
A summer time treat in the heat of St. Catharines!
While I was at the St.Catharines Farmer's Market, you have to remember it's a multi-use facility. Tonight, I was there for Project Brew, an undertaking of the 4th semester students from Niagara College's Brewmaster program. As usual, it was great. But just because this event at the Market was great, don't assume they all will be!
Great market, love going downtown
A staple of the downtown scene. Great vendors and selection. There are a few vendors catering to the lunch crowd that sell prepared food.
A little small.for my liking....a good way to kill 15 mins....and maybe pick up some sausage or cheese
Good way to spend your Saturday morning. There's a gal who sells coffee there. Fresh eggs, fresh cut flowers and breakfast.
Excellent Assortment of fresh produce Vendors three times a week during the Summer and fall
Lots of goods from desserts, to meats and breads and fresh produce all with great people. A stop that is always recommended.
Great variety of vendors, great prices.
Great vendors here!
You must go. Great local produce. And more.
I enjoyed it. Got some samosas, some cured meat and some baklava.
They have got everything that you expect
So much variety!! And snacks
NIce market. Really like going there.
Great for fresh food. Good variety.
I'm homeless so what a stupid and insensitive question google.
A reasonably well-stocked farmer's market with university town prices. Open every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. It is an enclosed structure with glass garage doors on it's longest sides, ample natural lighting even in the winter, and heaters. Garage doors are kept open in warm months, adding an additional breeze on hot days. You can still get some deals, as well as tasty hot meals. In late August through early October, Coronation grapes are to be had at reasonable prices. Dog-friendly.
Great selection of vendors from groceries, nuts, hot food, sandwiches and even jewelry.
Great spot to grab a fresh lunch. Lots of choices including some cool vegetarian options.
Staple of Downtown. Fun atmosphere, lots of activity, great food of all kinds (both grocery and ready-made, really wide variety), and definitely check out the coffee stand - their "Niagara Blend" is the best coffee anywhere!
Love the makers market! Vendors are all very friendly and have amazing local products!
Great selection, great prices, friendly faces
Very basic market, NOT PET FRIENDLY
Always a good day at the market great food to eat and amazing fresh food to take home you got to go see Eh Jose if your at the market
Love the farmers market. Fresh produce, bread, meat, deli meat, etc etc etc........
Beautiful farmers market, diverse range of vendors!
A great place to browse on a Saturday morning with coffee in hand. Prefer to buy my food locally.
Fun place. Food, Flowers and Friends
It's a nice place to browse maybe once or twice, unless you plan to support your local businesses or farmer. Parking is a hassle
The place is kinda small but you can get stuff and reasonable price.
It's friendly has everything your looking for
What a fantastic market. Very clean and organized with friendly city staff happily working. Everyone wore masks.
Tuesdays host a limited selection of vendors but always have fresh fruit and veggies, deli meats&cheeses, bread and baked goods as well as delicious samosas and prepared foods. Thursdays are better but Saturday is best for a variety of prepared foods, cured meats and craft vendors. St. Catharines Market is fantastic.
Awesome local fresh check it out
The vendors are friendly. Maria's Deli is excellent. However, for a city whose moniker is the "Garden City", this market is pitifully small. Tuesday markets are almost non -existent.
Fresh fruit and friendly faces
This is a great market to come to mid week. Pick your fruits, veggies, fresh coffee, coffee beans, prepared foods, meats, zero waste items such as bee wax bags and wraps, wool dryer balls, no preservative salsa, non GMO corn chips, plus a whole lot more.
Always a great deal on your fresh vegetables
Not to busy and everything is fresh
Love going here on Sunday. Great choices of foods. Jose's Huevos rancheros is fresh & delicious!
Great prices and nice selection of produce and good quality deli items
Smaller than I'm used to but, still had everything i was looking for. Area was very clean, had great Niagara produce and was located in a good spot with lots of Street parking around.
Post covid market is making a comeback and worth shopping. Please support your local vendors
The market building is nice and big so plenty of room for social distancing. Had a great variety of vendors too. This was a pleasant surprise for us as we are from out of town and our local farmer's market while charming, is not as big as this one. We got some fresh cut flowers for an awesome deal, blackberry jam, and swiss chard .... all great purchases. Definitely worth checking out, you will not be disappointed!
Have you tried "Dodo Gizzards" ? Trust me, you want to try them and you will fall in love. Visit the market, buy fresh produce and meats then visit one of the food vendors and try the dodo gizzards. It sounds strange, but tastes amazing!!
great food , flowers .... great atmosphere
Yes they have a great selection of food vendors and great products and great personality to all great job.
Went on a tues.. Only 7 vendor's!? What happened! Happy the lentil and samosa lady was there...her food is always healthy and delish! But i might as well gone to the grocery store. Hopefully it picks up soon!
Great local products, friendly people
Great place to explore with family! Or alone????
The Saturday market is great. Always nice to be able to support local growers and vendors. Also a great hub for events and activities. Really enjoyed Vegifest this year.
Very fresh and healthy local produce
Love it there - prices are great vendors are very nice . Shop local
Great place to shop lots of good quality product and goods
We try to come here every Saturday with the kids - great time and amazing options
I always find everything that I need at this market, from veggetables to good honey, nuts, coffee etc. Great selection and I support local growers.
Go every Saturday love getting fresh fruit and vegetables
Friendly, usually not crowded (except Saturdays) and featuring a variety of local business folk. Worth going just to see what vendors are offering, and potentially to participate in a wine tasting. Accessible, no pets, and a generally spacious facility.
Not the best public market...but quite good nonetheless
A Saturday morning ritual and a great way to kick off the weekend.
Peak time is around 10. Still lots of the same but it's all good.
Fresh fruit and vegetables, venders are always friendly.
Awesome ????
Visited for Vegfest 2017. Love this location! It's right at the heart of St. Catharines. Great access to lots of local & unique shops! The Farmers Market is a fantastic way to spend a couple hours.
I was just there to vote in the federal election. The market has turned into a yuppy craft place and a place to buy overpriced bread and cheese! It's not a true market anymore!
Disappointing.....not many vendors and expensive...cheaper to buy same products at a grocery store
Fun place to take kids to get fresh produce. Not so stroller friendly though as lots of people and aisles are narrow
The farmers market is my favourite place for produce. I love that everything is locally grown and way cheaper and better quality than the grocery store.
Nice little market, will visit again.
Love the atmosphere here
A historic staple of St. Catharines. It's a great place to go for some fresh produce. Open Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Busiest day with Brett selection of vendors on Saturday.
Even in winter this is a lovely public market. Lots to choose from and samples to enjoy.
So good. Clean and great vendors make it worth a stop.
Has improved over the years just wish more of a local vendors. Find that during off season vegetables/fruit are same as at grocery store and more costly.
Always fresh, friendly and great prices
Support Local Farmers and Businesses from the region. Go Local.
Great local offerings !
Decent selection, you have to check out HAPPY TUMMY EATS AND SWEET if you have a gluten intolerance. Delicious sweets and very friendly.
Great place to get fresh produce ... And flowers
Great fresh produce market
Love Eh Jose, best Mexican food around.
Excellent
Getting better. Keep on eye on Vendors quality. A better inspection or enforcement on gradeing would help for the price you are paying for #1 grade.
Great place to get brown eggs
They guy at the front that I buy from is pushy, even seems a little desperate. He feeds u samples and pushes u to buy from him. He gets me everytime. A little pricey but i do like his cheese. His helper never looks happy, EVER!
Food and good service
Always cool to visit
The only reason this place is getting a 3* from me is because it was a cold rainy day and only 1/4 of the stalls were open. We went there specifically to buy honey from a vendor that normally has a stall there, however they weren't there.
I love the farmer's market. I don't go often but I love supporting the local farmers and getting fresh produce.
I love supporting local farmers and buying the freshes produce.
A very festive market at this time of year with many displays of foods and crafts. Well worth the visit on Wednesdays in December.
Very good selection from local farmers. Fresh fruits and vegetables, friendly people and fresh cut flowers made our visit enjoyable. Finish off the visit with a bacon and egg sandwich just like we used to make it. Always so good to buy local.
They had a great variety of apples and fresh veggies i though it would have had more of a selection but i went for fresh mushroom and got fresh mushroom.
Great wide open covered venue with lots of skylights to let natural light in. Downtown parking around the building, so easy to get in and out of.
Enjoyed the atmosphere and food.
Great variety good prices
Wonderful, friendly people. Purchased very tasty lentil soup & International cuisine by Tonami. Amazing Gluten free cupcakes by Royal Butter & so delicious empanada's by Fiesta Empanada. Topped it all off with a full bodied cup of coffee. Sorry I couldn't find the name of the vendor but follow the wonderful coffee aroma. Beautiful crafts , homemade preserves, produce & bakery.
Got some amazing king oyster mushrooms last weekend and my favorite Ethiopian food, mmm yum!
Nice local farmers market with friendly helpful vendors. There are lots of fresh, products which are reasonably priced.
Such friendly faces working selling the freshest produce!
Lovely mix of fresh produce, meats, baked goods, preserves, and prepared foods. Wonderful place to come on a Saturday morning.
Great market great vendors great prices can't lose.
Craft show went really well
It was awesome great shirts and Hoodies!
Ama,in fruits, veg, baked goods and more.
We go every week and very much enjoy the selection and the vendors are always very friendly!
Limited selection at this time of year. Expensive.
Great variety. Super friendly people. Always a great experience to go.
I was told it's good to visit on a Saturday. Pretty average farmers market in terms of products...limited cheese, cured meats varieties... but nice vibe if you want to grab a snack. I may be biased coming from downtown Toronto where st Lawrence was were we shopped so the bar is really, but I did expect a bit more variety or creativity. Save time go to Farmboy or Sobeys .
Awesome place but beware of resellers
Awesome place . Lots of variety
Great place to go on a Saturday morning. Also a great way to support local farmers.
Been coming to the region for sometime, did not know it existed. Saw it advertised on a cooking show and went today, it was a great place, with lots of choices and prices are great. Everything is fresh. Will be going back.
Gotta go it's great
A large market with good vendors with fruits, vegetables, meat , bakery foods and great coffee. Open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Love the freshness of the food!
Everyone so nice polite and respectful. Everything fresh. Food is amazing.
I usually work Saturday, but every chance I get I go to market! Been to farmers markets all over and I love this one the most.
