This Fruit Store belongs to the category of Orchard.
We have come here a few times to pick peaches (and plums)! The kids always have TONS of fun picking their own fruit. They also have ladders throughout the orchard to help you reach even more fruit! Great customer service, very efficient especially with COVID restrictions. Highly recommend! There is an entrance fee of $3 which is more than reasonable to support local farmers and support farms that allow you to pick your own fruits (surprise - people eat while they pick!). There are COVID restrictions and washrooms aren't open, but it wasn't difficult for us to find a public one down the street.
Went there for cherry picking. Nice farm and nice people enjoyed my time there. And yeah cherries was also amazing. They grow apple, nectarine, peaches and plums too.
This place is a disgrace! Very bad, and I mean bad customer service. I should have listened to the reviews. Very rude! Very abrupt and completely over priced. You get better customer service at the dollar store. We will never go back!!! Save your money and your time-go some place else. Do not go to this horrible place. It will frustrate you to no end!!!
super nice and clean. staff very friendly and informative ... keep up the good work guys. we will be back next week.
Really easy to pick peaches ! Really friendly owners and look at all the peaches the kids picked. This all took less than 20 mins to pick . The fruit was ready to pick . I would come again any time !
You pay 4cad for the entrance ticket, you have only 45 minutes to pick cherry. When we purchased the ticket, the lady even calculated less than 5 minutes for us. On top of the ticket, you have to pay extra for your cherry (4 cad per lbs). I suggest you do not come here, 45 minutes will never be enough for you to enjoy your own picking.
Too expensive and limited time slot
My family and I had a great experience at this farm spending time together. The employees were very sweet and were opened to all our questions about the farm.
Worst ever...stay away
I would like to give this a better review, but the cost was too high. The staff were friendly with us and we left with my daughter eating an apple, and the owners didn't say anything. We were upset about the entrance fee when the apples are already $2/lb. We had to pay $9 in entrance fees and in total paid $24 for 8 apples and 2 peaches. This is wild! I have never paid this much for pick your own. They also didn't have the apples labelled. We had to try an apple from each tree to know which apples were Cortland. The idea of a 35 minute time limit is strange. I don't understand why this is even a thing. The basket we were given for apples was so small, it was bizarre. We paid a $12 deposit for a cardboard basket that held 7-8 apples. Why not let people pick as many apples as they want? They don't allow you to bring bags in, not even a purse. This is also a strange rule. The only reason we continued to pick was because we told our children we would do this. I won't ever come back unless they change their pricing and their picking regulations. It is cheaper to go to an apple stand where someone has picked the apples for you. In this case I recommend the Apple Spot on Cataract Road!
Nice place to pick ????
Went for cherry picking, less crowd, lots of cherries, my kid is really happy
Family outing pick your own orchard
So nice place, it was amazing to pluck the fresh cherries and to eat in the field.
Very rude and unpleasant employees. So many rules before you even get in, so you don’t even want to go and cherries not sweet and tasty at all. My worst experience ever.
Price increased to $5 per person (from other review, it was $3 last year) without busket. $13 with busket for cherry picking. They said it can hold 2lb of cherry but did not mention until asked, not very clear on the rules... Oh yes, pick cherry with the stamp on it or you will get fined. Also, tooooo many rules. Not recommended.
No washrooms, no backpacks or bags allowed even with a baby
We drove over 2 hours on August 8th to go pick peaches as their website said they were open that day. Sure enough when we arrived they were closed and there was no one even around to explain the situation. Absolutely ridiculous. Very disappointing as it was our wedding anniversary and we brought our 2 young boys to enjoy the day together there.
We spent 2 hours driving from Toronto to go to this place and we were told that we were allowed only half an hour in the farm that too after paying a minimum fee of $5 per person. The peaches had a layer of some kind of stuff adhering to it. Looks like it was sprayed on. It's almost impossible to wash it off completely. I was full of doubt and a little bit scared eating those peaches.
Great experience. Peaches are great!
The fruit was good, but the staff are uninviting. Better fruit picking experiences can be had at any other location in the Niagara Region
Didn't like the entry fee ($3 * 5 person =$15) and half an hour time limit to pick up pitches. 2 small boxes (25 count) cost $23, which is quiet expensive. The quality of the peaches was okay though.
Unfair entrance fee
Decent place to pick your own get peaches. Very strict bag policy (can't bring any bags into the fields) including baby bags which I thought was a little absurd. They allow you to bring a stroller but who wants to push that on grass. Also a 45 min time limit to pick. Small parking lot so it there may be not enough space. Not the same experience I have seen at other pick your own places. Would not come again.
Bad quality. Owner obviously leaves fake self endorsing comments. Went and hated it but never really felt like making a review. There are better places around. Way too expensive. They are rude and honestly somewhat racist. All they felt that they needed was money from foreign tourists.
Do not visit this place..People were rude and they just gave us 30 minutes of time at their farm to pick peaches.. We had to rush through to get some peaches in 30 minutes.. Then at the store we decided to taste some ice cream at their store and they say we have to pay 25 cents to taste a flavour.. This was a very bad experience for us.. There are other great farms near along the Parkway which are so much more better than this place ..
I love their peaches! You can eat while picking
We should have checked the reviews before we went, but never mind , lesson learned ! Waste of time and money , don't ruin your day and find another farm. Won't go back for sure ! Staff members were rude and unpleasant, very poor reception. Farm rules make you feel as if you are coming to steal the place ! They also have a staff member patrolling to monitor visitors . No water , no bags , no hats , 40 mins in the farm , this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen! If rating could go to negative , I'll give -5 instead.
I loooooooooved it..!!!!!! We went there for peach picking and it tasted sooo sweet. We thought one bag will be enough, but regreted that after we entered the farm. They charged $3 per person to enter and around $3 for 1lb of peach we pick.
You can pick your own apples, peaches and nectarines. Great floral taste and quality. Recommended experiance.
It is very expensive, 3$ per person + 2.75$ lb, It is not recomended
Yesterday we went peach picking and had wonderful experience but a little bit expensive. Still worth it.
Very rude owner speaking down to customers one of the worst farms
Extremely rude staff.
Been here 4 times already and I dont know what some of the reviewers are saying, but the staff isn't rude. $3 entrance fee per person isnt unreasonable, the farmers also need to make some sort of profit, hard times these days. If you can afford to drive out to pick fruits, you can surely afford $3 entrance fee. You get a half hour time limit, I dont know why you'd need more than that, all the peach's during peak season are all the same. we are usually out within 15minutes after picking two baskets. All these 1 star reviews have their heads too far up their bottom.
Be careful going to pick apples late in the season. They will charge you admission saying there still are some apples and then when you realise there are none, it is a "non-refundable" charge.
Took my nephews here and they had an amazing time! The employees were a wonderful help especially with the young kids (8 and 2 year old). They had so much fun picking the fruit and even bought some to take home. The quality of peaches was great! They were the juiciest and freshest peaches we’ve ever had! Thank you so much parkway orchards! ❤️
Friendly and helpful staff direct you to the areas with the best fruit for your needs. Wonderful smelling peaches and plums are available to pick right off the trees. Prices are reasonable and the experience make the trip worth while.
Been there today with friends and the owner was so accommodating, allowing us to take pictures inside as the weather wasn’t great. Everyone was happy and glad, we bought cherries to take home too. I would love to recommend to everyone to visit this place as it well maintained and the entire family who owns it worked very hard
great cherry picking experience!
(Translated) Could be more friendly, very expensive a big basket of peach $ 38 it charges $ 3 for entry on the site but it deducts the price on the regular basket, you can not have a bag or bag everything must stay in the car. You have 40 minutes maximum on the site. Owner extremely suspicious. I'm pretty sure he's hiding cameras in the trees lol.
Nice place for ???? peach picking
A great summer outing with friends and family! The owners were so kind and polite and the peaches were amazing! Would definitely recommend as a late-summer activity this year :)
Best peaches I have eaten all year.
It's the worst farm in the whole Ontario. Staff is very rude and unfriendly. They have so many restrictions for fruits picking that clients cannot read on the website in advance but can only find out at the farm. Some of then: - You are allowed to stay and pick fruits only for 40 minutes - when you have 2 toddlers it's almost impossible. - You have to pick cherries (for example) only with stems... Why do I need stems in my basket???!!! - You have to show your entry ticket every time when stuff members see you... Am I in prison???! - You are allowed to pick fruits only to specific level of the basket. - And the most ridicules is the price - $5 per person to "entry" the farm and $5 per tiny basket. (see the picture) BUT!!! If you want an additional basket it's $10! I would rate this farm as -5 stars if I could.
Delicious fresh cherries.
Entrance fee additionaly
Fresh ontario grown fruit - delicious
This family was so welcoming and kind great small family business! highly recommend going to pick peaches!!
You can only purchase their fruit outside the farm. They don't allow anyone to enter their farm for fruit/peach picking. Make sure you call and find out before you make your trip.
Staff was friendly. It was a bit expensive per pound but was worth it for the experience of picking the fruit.
Nice farm. They a varieties of bearing fruit trees.
Very sweet peaches and they are huge!!!
BEFORE YOU GO THERE, SCROLL DOWN TO ALL REVIEWS. -5 STARS. The farm seems nice but the staff is not tolerant, in fact aggressive and rude. This was our 2nd bad experience with this farm staff/owner. They are expensive and doubtful in transactions. For years we visited many farms in Ontario and Quebec. In Quebec though we had some language hiccup but still we never found such aggressive behavior from any farm owner. Parkway Orchards should preserve their farm as a MUSEUM, so people would come to pay but they will not be allowed to touch any thing there. In response to review they should correct their behavior and policies, but they blame the customers. How many people are complaining here for their behavior? Were all customers insane? We can see reviews for other fruit farms. No other farm have received that many complaints for the staff/owner behavior. There is no option on google, but I will give them -5 stars. I WILL NEVER GO THERE, NOR WILL RECOMMEND ANYONE TO SPOIL THEIR DAY.
Expected to have some good experience here until we saw these rules. It’s very China Mainland style. Treat everybody as a thief presumably.... No, we don’t want to go in and will not come back here again.
(Translated) Not very family-friendly. You have 45 mins on the site. You cannot eat peaches on the site. Ordinary when you are with children! No activities. Maybe because I expected too much a place like in Quebec when you go to apples. Not a place I will return to. Very expensive, it cost us $ 42 for a fishing basket and the guy wanted to charge us for the weight of the basket which weighs a ton. The next day we went to "cherry avenue farms". Go there instead. Much more family-friendly. You can eat fruit without any problem. They have nectarines, peaches, pears and plums. In addition to being half the price.
The rules
We bought a basket for $7 on the local market 5 min away but payed $14 to pick our own... Weird. Peaches were good though ????
(Translated) Bought too expensive and unripe apricots (Original) Zu teure und unreife Aprikosen gekauft
We had a great time with our peach picking at this farm. They're very organized and the farm is rich in Peaches. Highly recommend the place to visit. We will come and visit again. ❤️❤️❤️
Great customer service and the fruits were delicious! A place I'd recommend 100%
Brutal Fruit Picking Place!!! Even though the signs state fruit picking, you can only pick on Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday!!!! The signs in the store state you can only touch the peaches if you buy them! Too many rules!!!!!!! Extremely unfriendly service!!!! Don't waste your time!
Good to visit.
(Translated) Very disappointed with this place. A basket of peaches cost us $ 9 in counting $ 3 for entry. The owners were very unfriendly. When we wanted to visit the fifth row of trees, we were forbidden access. We bought a basket of peaches from another farmer for only $ 2.
Got there things looked good but as you start walking through the customer service of the place feels more like a airport security check. First young gentleman was quite nice and helpful. Once you past the entrance door you will notice a lot of signs telling you several things you can not do. Than the female at the entrance informs you again of the things you can not do and it seems like you are watched constantly. They charge you per person to enter and if you take fruits they will discount the entrance fee from what you pay to get in. An older lady in the cash register is pretty rough spoken and changes the price on you on things. I paid for an apple juice $1.50, 10 minutes later I bought another one and was charged $2.45, I made a slight complaint however, I was put in my place pretty fast and I was not going to make a bid deal about either. This place seems to be owned by an Asian family so, the treatment you get feels like the kind you get when you walk into an Chinese food restaurant in a bad neighborhood, poor customer service. Female at the entrance also advised not to eat the peaches without washing them first because they spray them, after I walked out my skin was pretty hichy, I did not think anything bad about it till my two 6 year old kids started complaining about it too. I will not visit this place again.
Very good experiance for peach picking. A lot of peaches. Price is clearly mentioned and they charge according to the weight. The only issue i faced was at parking since they have very limited parking space and the entrance to parking area is congested if cars are parked on the entrance.
We had a poor experience with the farm. The owners don't treat you well and make you feel like you are trying to steal from them. The rules are stupid. You are only allowed to pick for 30 minutes and without any water. When we picked it was 30 degrees and it would have been nice to have some water. They would not allow my 2 year old to have his water while we picked. We will not return to this farm. We usually go to Cherry avenue Farms and we recommend them because they allow you can pick for as long as you want and you can have water with you.
ok.. so when we arrived it was just closing and some lady with her family was leaving screaming at us to leave. then they spun around their vehicle and threw out the window their Tim Hortons garbage, just a paper bag and empty cup (but still) onto their seating area. really theres no excuse for that kind of behavior. i was scared to stay for fear of damage to my car. none the less i tried to get a picture of the license plate. i saw the owner(i guessed) drive and stop and approached him to tell him what i saw. he said that they had tried to take baskets pre picked from the store and claim they had picked them to claim the $5 rebate and the owners caught them. they were mad because they got caught trying to rip them off. wow he told me how people would even hang around after close and try to sneak back in to steal. wow. people are crazy. he was pretty cool about the whole thing and i got good vibes from him, he was super nice and i took the news about the place just closing as best i could. 30-40min on a hot day without water is possible. drink some before going in and some when you come out. i totally understand them not wanting garbage all over. maybe You dont litter But a lot of people do, be mad at those people, not the owner trying to keep the place nice. Niagara is a tourist town, nothing is "cheap". The prices seem reasonable. a lot of people suck at math, so im sure its confusing to them:( and can be frustrating. maybe if it went by units instead of weight people may understand better but there maybe problems with that system too. take care, be carefull and be kind to one another.
Very friendly people, will definitely go back for more fruit picking.
These cherries were amazing. $4 entry, and we got 2 huge baskets filled to the top for $26! There were tons of black, red and yellow cherries, and they had small step ladders to reach the higher ones. Such a great date idea!
Not going back again, the owners are very rude and user-friendly
This is the worst farm that we have never been in Ontario. The owner is Korean. The stuff is every rude, the "rules" making no sense. This farm is definitely not a place for family to go. we will never go there again.
Amazing location. Beautiful view of the Niagara River. Very friendly family farm. Great place for fruit picking family outing and fun during the fruit season! Can't beat the delicious tree ripened cherries, peaches, and apples!
Barely...and i mean barely ok. I was not at all happy with the prices they charge for picking peaches . Was to my mind excessive. Remember...this was my first experience at a pick your own peaches orchard. It will be my last. Two baskets of peaches just under $30. A 3$ entry fee just to pick. The only reason I remotely enjoyed the event was to watch my son have fun. Well, that and the the smart ones chomping on peaches before they paid. Sorry but unless you don't mind dropping good money when you might just as well go to the grocer for half the price
small parking and super expensive
Great time with family. Owners are super nice and wish them all the success!!
The best peaches i have ever had.
Extremely disappointed. I wanted to go apple picking I called and asked if it was a available and it was so I thought great. I then asked roughly how much it would and I was told it was 2$ per pound, I then asked if there were any additional fee and was told no only to drive all the way out there to find out I had been LIED to and there is in fact a 5$ fee per person so it would have been about 7$ for ONE POUND of apples. Now I understand a small fee per person to help with maintenance but 5$ each person is a little ridiculous. Definitely will not be back or recommend people to go to here.
Great place to visit
What a fantastic spot! Thank you Eddie and the staff for a lovely family afternoon of picking peaches and plums. Great people and delicious plums and peaches :) We will see you again! Osman family
Drove 40 mins only to find out that there was no picking for the day with no update to website.
Friendly staff, lots of fruits and the peaches are delicious!
We got to pick peaches!!! I will agree there are alot of rules. Just don't bring anything in and youll be fine. I saw about 30 people during my visit and everyone seemed happy. My girlfriend and I spent about 10 minutes just walking around then about 5 minutes picking. I dont have kids however but I feel that 30 minutes was a reasonable amount of time.
Went during early September and the peaches we got were large but still firm, so still needs some time to soften. Owners are very friendly and helpful too. $3 for entry and $2/pound after that.
Beautiful farm , sweet peaches and sour plums, lovely day ????
$3 a person entry plus over $2 a pound is a little ridiculous to pick your own and there wasn't even any fruit we could just buy without picking ourselves
Was looking forward to picking up some homemade jams from the area and found this place. Looked promising at first. Asked about the expiration date, since some identical jams were much darker than others or were in different jars with slightly altered labels. They told us "It doesn't expire" which we found really odd. We picked up a strawberry and rhubarb jam. Opened it at home 700km later only to find mould growing in it. Edit: We've reached out to the Market and were refunded for the jams. Friendly people to deal with. Forgot to mention this the first time around, but if there are any left, try the butter tarts. Really good.
We picked cherries here in the middle of the season and they had so much variety! The orchard is well kept and very clean. Great place for families with little children. And the fruits are exquisite!
Beautiful orchard, and the peaches and cherries were absolutely delicious! Definitely worth going and it's open I believe until 8
Had to pay minimum $5 per basket per person before you even enter (to make sure you buy at least that much)..Absolute non-sense as we were 10 people including 3 little children so that would have cost $50... a lot of money for peaches. yes we were there for the peaches... we would have probably bought $30 or $35 in weight worth of peaches but this policy felt like it was their way to exploit the people to come to this area at this time of year... we said no thanks! she called us cheap! we left. we drove down the road...loads of other little stalls along the road selling peaches, plums, cherries...they were much friendlier and cheaper too.
Never have I ever had such a bad PYO fruit experience. I don't get why you would go there to PYO fruits giving the fact that you are giving 40 minutes to do it and that you can't sample the fruits, which is of the many reasons why people like this kind of activity. Plus, there is a minimum charge of 5 $ per person even for toddler (3 years old). Which meant that we had to pay in advance for 6 lbs of peaches. When it was finaly time for us to go, the cashier told us we didn't hit the limit and we didn't have to pay an extra charge. When I asked him what was the weight of our basket he would not let me know. He looked more like he was eager for us to leave. Didn't get any receipt when I asked ( Tax evasion scam perhaps). Total amount for 14 small peaches : 15 $ and a bitter taste. Will not come back. By the way, replying customers with how hard it is to makes ends meet does not change their awful experience.
Amazing peach picking!
We had a great time and experience here. You go for the fun time with your family. If you are cheap then just go buy your fruit from the store. The customer service was also impressive as opposed to some reviews we read before going here. The "rules" people complain about are meant to help. Thanks for the wonderful time and keep up the hard work here. Don't listen to ridiculous customers who are not "always right".
Unprofessional staff...paths and areas for picking fruit not clearly marked. Fruit wasnt ripe
Very friendly owners, very sweets cherries and peaches to pick.
beautifill but expensive ????
Great peaches but you have to taste them and pick the ripe ones. No problem getting parking. Peaches aren't cheap, it was about $50 for 4 baskets of peaches. The instructions for picking were great as well.
Not the best service ... and also expensive
The employees are super nice and it's such a nice place but here's the problem. IT'S DARN TOO EXPENSIVE FOR LIKE 5 POUNDS OF PEACHES OF OVER $30 BUCKS WHICH YOU GET IT WAY CHEAPER AT THE GROCERY STORE AND THEY CHARGE YOU $5 BUCKS PER PERSON. I don't think my family will ever come back at their farm for fruit picking ever again. It's best you do it at Buffalo, Newyork and it's super cheaper.
Overall: I will definitely come again - Peaches are great and abundant - Large enough to maintain social distance Prices: - $3 per person over 3 years old, plus - $12 for a basket Notes: - no washrooms - call the owner for price before you go though Recommendation to owner: - make the information and rule available online so that people can decide if they agree - I’ve another pick you own farm posted a rule like “hold the basket one hand and it’s not too much” at the entrance, so that people know what to do
I wish I could give no star. Horrible costumer service They encourage you to park and go in to find an hour waiting line while I had a baby and a stroller under the hot sun! No washrooms to freshen up atleast! And then while I was trying to put the stroller back in the car they were rushing me to leave so they fit more cars! Never come back here! They are rude
Great peaches great experience picking however cost of $4 for a non picker was ridiculous considering they charge $10 for a standard basket of peaches.
NIGHTMARE of a farm. Horrible pricing, 12$ for a little basket (that you can get for 5$ full at the grocery store) and then a separate fee per person. On top of that, most trees werent ripe & there wasnt much area to pick. We got some peaches and headed out and the man who owns it, very rudely, told us we had “too many peaches” because our baskets were full?? He proceeded to empty our baskets roughly while we told him others were leaving with their baskets full, he argued with us and told us we “werent allowed” to leave until he took them out. In the end we paid 36$ for approximately 10 peaches. Total BS.
There is a fee for the entrance...3$ for adult and 2$ for kids and 2$/lbs . I got 2 basket for 20$ and entrance 12$ .I ended up by buying 32 $ for 2 basket of peach. I can got them from the store at the price of 8 $....
Entrance fee and basket prices were very expensive. The baskets did not make sense for the size and amount of peaches one could pick. No bags or big purses were allowed. We had to go back to our car and put away our "big" purses. They treated us as if we were going to steal fruit. Lack of amenities was terribly frustrating. The owners of the farm wanted us to go back and read their "rules", which were incredibly vague and unclear. The owners were very picky about timing and very rude and selfish. Even though the peaches themselves were delicious, to top of the whole experience, the owners removed peaches from our baskets, after claiming there were "too many". Would not recommend this farm for anyone in the future. Very bad.
Very over priced and the owners are not very friendly. Disappointed all around and spent a lot of money here. Will not go back next year. The peaches were great though!!
Visited Parkway over the long week-end and we had a great time picking peaches. Orchard was lovely and easy to get to where we wanted to pick. Lots of great fruit and we have since frozen, canned and ate a lot of peaches!! :) I was a bit concerned with the comments I read but honestly, we didn't have any issues and really glad we went. Fruit is amazing and we will be back. Thanks Parkway team!!
Very very bad experience, we been there from Mississauga, with two more families and we called them before a day and they misinformed us, and they are argue with the customers in very rude way, I'll never recommend to anyone to waste their money and time. I wish I gave -1 for review.
Experience is mediocre, peaches are lovely. Prices are astronomical.
I love picking but these people are unbelievably rude. Hugely expensive. Not worth it. Lots of other local places that are much better. This farm set a new low for me, and lost a lot of paying customers in the process.
Owners bring down the review from 4 stars. Peaches were great! Owners were rude and very penny pinching!
Worse service ever and the owner of this farm are very rude and weren’t decent with us at all I don’t recommend anyone at all to go to that farm
Take the time to read the reviews for this pick your own. The people were rude, the rules were ridiculous, and the price was silly. After we paid the admission fee ($3/person) and my wife had to leave her purse in the car, we were told that we were only allowed 45 minutes in the orchard.
Awesome family outing on a picturesque setting.
The peaches from this farm are AMAZING. The service however is the WORST. My family and I love to support local farmers and always pick fruit in the Niagara region. Never had we had such an awful experience such as the one at Parkway. The elderly lady working in the shop is disgustingly rude and I also feel that she is a bit racist. When we asked for clarity regarding the cost per basket and ask why we must pay for people without a basket (because that is not common in the area) this woman was getting very frustrated and did not answer our questions clearly. She did not want to explain it to us... we just wanted to know the process. We simply wanted an explanation and hers was that a certain demographic of people go in with 20 people and buy 2 baskets (which I feel is racist to single out ONE demographic when I'm sure many types of families do this). So it is my understanding that now everyone else has to pay more? On top of that she said that kids were $3 and adults were $4. So we had 4 adults and 2 kids and we purchased 3 baskets (@$10 each). This would accumulate to $40 ($3 x 2 for the kids and $4 for the extra adult). She wrote down $41 on the ticket and when we asked where the extra dollar came from she ripped the ticket saying we talked too much and we were not allowed into the orchard. This is the absolute WORST service I have ever encountered. A 45 minute limit is also an awful idea. Someone with small children may not have enough time to pick and enjoy. Imagine if you want to take pictures in the orchard or actually have time to enjoy yourself. This was not made available at Parkway. We wanted to leave, but attempted to pay to go in again because we had children. The younger gentleman explained everything that we had questions about and he 100% recovered the service experience. We wish to thank him for his kind service. Will NOT recommend this place. Will NOT return.
I’m sorry that we have to add our names to the poor reviews, but the staff here is very unpleasant. We came for a peach picking experience as part of our Niagara trip with our family. We were charged a fee to walk to the orchard, and only given “40 minutes” to be back at the cash. Between the time limit and poor service, I couldn’t recommend this business to anyone.
My family and I were there yesterday and had an awesome experience!! We picked a big basket of peaches and must say they are delicious. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We definitely will be returning. Only draw back, bathrooms closed.
After reading all the negative reviews I was a bit apprehensive about going here but the proximity and availability of peaches was the main deciding factor. We drove up from Toronto and were lucky to have beautiful weather - this orchard is lovely and is in Niagara-on-the-Lake which makes it great if you want to do more on your outing than just pick fruit. The owner greeted us and was very friendly- the rules everyone seems to complain about were clearly posted on a large sign so I don’t get what the big deal is if you come prepared. He gave us a lift on his golf cart to where the ripest peaches were (I’m 8 mos pregnant so this maybe why). And we picked some of the prettiest peaches I’ve ever seen. I had a wonderful time.
Nice visit
(Translated) Very nice people. Super good fruit. (Original) Les gens très gentil. Les fruits super bon.
Overall an extremely poor experience. - Their overall customer service was handled poorly. - Not enought explanation and signs explaining what to do. - Overpriced and grounds not well maintained. Current prices are: - $3 per person over 4 years old AND - $2.75 per lb. Why have a time limit of 30 minutes? Most people will not be there for 30 minutes and by stating it you are making people feel rushed and unappreciated. Ps: Yelling at people across the area to show their tickets is not a great way to handle the lack of signs and explanations.
Bad
Owners are very rude, especially the wife. Peaches are good.
Very relaxing, ????????????????
Just okay. They have a minimum charge per person. Very clean place though. Did not see place for kids to play.
This farm is a scam, people are coming from 2-3 hours away and they’re making peop’e By the baskets at a set price for the cherries (10$) which wasn’t on the website. If you go with a whole family, you have to each buy a basket or else you can’t go inside, they won’t let other family members in unless you all buy a basket. 45 minute time limit is something I’ve never experienced at a pick-your-own farm. They don’t even let you sample some of the cherries. My family had a bitter experience and will never come here again. I recommend other people not to come here. There are plenty of others great farms you can go to here in Niagara.
Great place for fresh and juicy fruits, a great place to go fruit picking and spend time with your family.
Overcharged us, bought 5 pounds of fruits which should only be $3/pound hence $15 and was charged over $40! (didn't realize until we weighed ourselves at home) that we were so over-charged. be careful!
had the best time here ever. market is too cute and all the animals are so friendly
Nice place but you have to pay going in to pick and after you pick very expensive
Lot of tree for picking a good day for the family
ticket is $5/person, $4/lb, no bag is allowed no matter how small it is, 45 mintues limited, somebody from the farm walked back and forth, seemed to monitor customers. I picked up cherry in Niagara falls area every year, this farm is the worst.
We have been picking fruit at Parkway Orchards for many years. Yes it is expensive (peaches were $2 per pound plus the cost of entry to the orchard), but as you can imagine not everyone is exactly gentle while trampling through the orchard and picking the fruit so you have to offset the potential damage to the trees somehow. We go with our children for the experience of being out in the fresh air and seeing where/how the fruit grows. We have never gotten any rude attitude from the owners, on the contrary they have always been very friendly and accommodating to us. We like it there and will continue to make peach picking at parkway orchards a tradition in our family.
It is fun to pick our own peaches. Farm is well managed although they only opened up a couple row of trees.
This was a great family outing. We were a bit sceptical about the bad reviews, but went anyway since most of the bad reviews were about people not liking the rules. Upon arrival, We were greeted by a sweet elderly gentleman and his wife. They were very pleasant to us and sweet to our kids. They explained the cost and rules, and the man drove us to the orchard, explaining which berries were the best and sweetest. I found nothing outrageous about the rules. I understand that these rules are in place to protect their business and to establish boundaries. And the staff was far from rude. The elderly gentleman was even willing to pose for pictures with us and his son spent time talking with us about the local farming community and products. The homemade blueberry pie is amazing by the way. Overall, this was a very positive experience for our family and one of the highlights of our visit to Niagara.
Very disrespect of human rights. When I drove two hours to their farm. The staff refused me to carry my six-inch bag go in. There's Only my wallet, insulin, and prescription inside my bag. The staff was so worried someone may steal their peaches. I told them to check my bag if they needed. i really need carry my Prescription and insulin with me . They refused. They said "no, I don’t want to check. I don't care if you go anywhere else."
The peaches are delicious! Thank you for all the hard work
Fun stop to pick peaches.
A little pricey but worth the fabulous peaches
This is a perfect example of an organization with poor customer focus and lack of common sense. I took my family today for peach picking, my 8yo son, wife and in-laws. I brought a little folding chair for grandma so she can rest a little while we are picking fruits (sorry... she’s older and can’t stay on her feet too long), and I brought a little fanny water backpack, it is hot under the sun, we should be allowed to hydrate ourselves as needed... unfortunately the management would not allow us to bring the chair and the water pack. If you visit the Niagara Parkway, do stop and enjoy the wineries, but skip this fruit farm and drive a few miles further to Lincoln, Beamsville or Welland if you are looking for a family friendly fruit farm.
Consistent with most comments, this farm is not worth visiting. Staff is rude, and the "rules" make the experience that much worse. The location of the farm is very serene; however, experience kills the entire vibe. 40 min maximum allowance for picking, no bags, no hats, can "only" fill up to a certain level, must show your pass each time, no water bottles. Just hearing the rules were enough for us to walk away from the entrance. We googled other farms and learned about Cherry Avenue Farms. That's such a large and a busy farm and yet delivers the best experience.
Very friendly people! We were a bit cautious after reading reviews, but once we got there, everyone was so nice, we had no problems. We used our own bucket, they just checked the weight in the beginning. We managed to fill it up with peaches and pay for them in 15 minutes :)
Pricing was confusing and expensive. We were family of 8 people and 4 baskets of peaches ended up costing almost $80 which was expensive. Also had a time limit which we could not meet and went over - however they did not penalize us for going over the 45 minutes. However the time limit did not lead to a good experience as we were rushing and the whole time looking at the clock. Overall it was a fun day and family activity. Peaches taste delicious.
Friendly Owner and the cherries were very sweet. We were returning to Toronto from Great Wolf Lodge on Jul 3rd and my wife wanted to pick some cherries. I was concerned about all the negative reviews but my wife insisted we try. I asked the owner, a soft spoken Korean gentleman, about the poor reviews, mainly about all the rules. His rules are no bags, no food or beverages in the field and 45 minutes to pick the fruit. Also everyone need to pay $10 for a small basket and can fill it with fruit for no extra charge. He indicated that the rules were in place as although most customers are well behaved there is a small but consistent minority that steal fruit and litter in the fruit growing area. The longer time you give them the more they eat as there is not much to see but the fruit trees. There were 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 kids, and we easily filled our baskets with cherries in less than 20 minutes. The no bags rule makes sense as it eliminates the temptation of stealing some extra fruit and the no food and beverage rule makes sense as the orchard is pristine and who wants to pick fruit surrounded by chip bags and empty water bottles. We had a good experience and are planning on coming again at the end of the summer for the peaches.
Pick your own fruit e.g. peaches for a per pound rate. Good adventure for kids
Very sweet little spot, not too busy on a late-in-the-season apple run! Really just the apple picking to do, which for us was perfect! We didn't need the hayrides and other things some other orchards offer, and the service was friendly and the trees and apple easy to find. :)
Great big peaches
Unprofessional from a customer service. Expensive for the experience. There are many other PYO places that offer a greater experience for less $$. IMO go elsewhere.
$3 to get in and $2.75 lbs . A small basket 3L slightly over fill $15-$16. Plus the $3 fee to enter and will not discount it. Want pick another basket, need pay another $3 to pick more. They go by persons or basket.(what cost more) plus you have a time limit to pick your own. They also weigh in basket even got ask to weight the peaches by themselves to make sure, it right weigh. But refuse to do it. Can't afford to pay and want pay for 1 basket. The guy say all or nothing. If he drop your basket and there major bruised on the peaches. He will just collect all of them and place them back on the basket and say there good. Even there dirt with major bruised. And have to be eaten soon or they rot. Due to being badly bruised. And will not replace the damaged peaching that he drop. He even claim "fresh and real Ontario peaches and the local farmers markets are fake peaches not from Ontario." The fee to enter dose not make sense. Since there is no facility on site. (Yes, it covid-19 time but there is no washroom is there and block off)
Went peach picking. Great time!
Not a good experience very rude staff and very bad explaning rules i think they also made a mistake in overcharging us they dont even explain how they are doing it but I felt very looked down up on no customers service you are left feeling like you are doing something wrong as they keep telling you what u can and can't do rather go somewhere where staff is friendly and dont make u feel so bad
Loved the peaches and blue plums. Will be going again. Kids loved it
The worst farm every!!!
Not the most friendly nor a welcoming place. I wouldn’t recommend at all!
Firstly they charge you $3 per person just for entry. I have never had to pay an entry fee for pick you own in Niagara, minimum spend yes but not a standalone entry fee. If they have problems with people just eating the fruit and not paying, then that tells you a lot about the people you are going to be picking alongside...the issue is that when we went today there were no ripe peaches left for picking! When we asked for the refund on the entry fee we were given it. But after driving 35 mins and then paying the entry fee and walking to the end of the field (this takes a long time when you have a toddler) this was really disappointing. Especially as they were continuing to take entry fees from other unsuspecting visitors while giving us the refund! This is really bad practice. And once we were in the orchard it was PACKED with people, no social distancing. Please avoid a long drive and disappointment and avoid this place.
I went here to pick peaches and never again I walked out when I saw what people were paying. Way over priced plus rude staff. 5 dollar entrance fee. Basket will cost aprox 40 dollars plus 5 bucks per person. Other farms are cheaper. Theres one up the street from there way better check their good reviews.

Very nice and kids love it
Excellent peaches picking up place
I went peach and plum picking for the first time with my two sisters and we had a lot of fun! The place is clean and well organized. The staff was really nice and friendly.
They are literally stealing from their visitors !4 people to pay $12 entrance fees and only 3L basket was available to buy for another$12 which it may fit about 8 peaches in it for pick your own and yet so many rules no drink no purse....!!!! Are you kidding me!! If you drive up a little further you can buy pre picked peaches same size $6 so please don't waste your money and time!!! Don't recommend this farm
They have a very bad customer service. Their staff are very rude and yell at people for no reason! We won’t be back to this place and do not recommend others to spend their money here.
Amazing peaches, fun time for the family! Will have to return for cherry season next year.
Great friendly service! Peaches are delicious!!!
Fun
What a gem to visit. We were on our way for some wine tasting in the niagra by the falls area. We were not really looking for an orchard and had not thinked about fruit picking. But this place caught or eye and we decided to spot and just look. We ended up going and picking peaches and cherries. The price for the fruits was very reasonable, the memory of picking your own fruit with our family , priceless. We had an awesome time. The owners were very friendly . What a gem in the middle of Canada's wine region.
Nice peaches. But horrible entry rules, price higher than most.
$3 entry per person and an additional $2.50 per pound. Cost us $12+ for a small basket plus $6 entry. All together $18 for fresh peaches, not so sure !
Everything here was just peachy. Lol. Bit seriously, the peaches were great. I wish I'd have brought a larger basket to get more cuz we demolished all 15 pounds in just 3 days! Only 4 stars cuz of the entry fee. Just charge me for the peaches, jeez.
Was there 2 times, First - 2 years ago, Second - yesterday. Had some doubts about the second time because of negative reviews but from our experience some complains are just not true. First of all stuff was very friendly. Korean family that rules the business is lovely. Second ... how much time do you need to pick up peaches? Somebody complained about 40 min limit. Each of us got 2 large baskets for 25 min and we didn't rush at all. Nobody patrolled us that would be really disappointed but even that would be understandable - before Parkway Orchards we visited another farm to pick up another fruts where we watched group of 8 ppl, that didn't pick anything just ate as much as they can and left the farm - now its a part of Canadian multiculturalism. And peaches are very good there. Definitely will be back. Thank you!
????????
The owners had put in a lot of hard work
Very nice place to go pick peaches
My first experience picking peach. Very good
expensive but nice experience for kids ..they had fun
Have to pay enterance fee of 3 dollars per person. Not worth the cost
Our family visited there this afternoon. It is a very nice farm, the fruit looks excellent, but the prices are awful and the service was terrible. They charge you admission to get in and then by the pound afterwards. In paying the clerk we could not understand what she was saying and as my wife was handing her the money she was putting it in the till and rhyming of numbers, all in all it was very confusing. She was asking for more but we insisted we had paid her already, but she had put it in the till, as long as my wife had her wallet open she would take more money.....eventually I reached for the baskets and told her we were leaving....in the end we paid $51.00 for 2, 11 qt baskets. We will not be visiting this farm again and I suggest you NOT visit here. They may be fine for tourists, but for locals there are better options.
Visited this farm on the long weekend. Was a bit confusing but the guy explained things pretty clearly. Was a little bit more expensive than other places but the cherries were great and the farm was beautiful! Overall had a wonderful time with the kids and will definitely be back.
Very expensive more expensive than going to the store 5 times more
I really don't mean to be rude but this farm is by the far the worst one I have been to. I find it very unreasonable that they give a 30 minute time limit to pick fruit.. I mean let the kids see the farm, learn, enjoy...make a memory for gods sake. Also, the policy of no water bottles on a hot day is utter nonsense. To be honest, as nice as the location of the farm is, I'll never return here and will make sure I share my experience with anyone I know. We went to Cherry Avenue Farms the next day, and the experience was top notch!
Not a good experience visiting the orchard. No washroom on site for visitors. You can't eat fruits while picking. They can charge more entry fee to visitors so that visitors can taste fruits while picking. You don't know how the fruit tastes until you buy that.
Beautiful..Nice farm we visited peach farm for peach picking. Enjoyed well.
Peaches are delicious!!! staff and owner are so rude! Never recommended, find other palces to pick peach and have fun.
Save yourself the trouble and STAY AWAY from this place! WORST pick you own farm ever. In addition to the excessive entrance fees they pick and choose who gets to bring in their bags/purses which is totally discrimitory. If you have a rule at least enforce it across the board instead of picking and choosing. Ridiculous customer service where customers are treated as thiefs. Unless you want to ruin your perfect day in Niagara don't come here.
(Translated) Pietre service Expensive prices Good quality of fruit (Original) Pietre service Prix onereux Belle qualite de fruit
I would never recommend this place to anyone! It is by far the worst farm I've ever been to. Staff was rude and unpleasant. Basically you cannot bring anything into the farm. Even a small purse( come on). Not sure what they are afraid of. Policy of no water at this weather is nonsense. They have a little truck that can take you to the field but the staff inside refused to take us because he was so "busy" at greeting other customers. There were less than ten families at the farm the time when we were there. Busy? All of these makes you want to leave there as soon as you can. Don't go there or else you would regret it!
Very friendly. If you get lost because no signs your an idiot. Great fruit.
They took my peaches away from my basket because they think I pick ‘too much ‘ never seen any u pick place do this
It was nice place to go for peach picking. Of course best peaches in Niagara region. They are very kind and explained which one is ready to pick as we wanted to pick freestone and baby gold peaches. It was enough time to pick fruits within 45 min with kids and my daugther enjoyed a ice cream after picking. Definitely we will go next year!
Very rude and unprofessional service by Chinese representatives. Very restrictive rules of not eating more than 1 or 2 fruits in the orchard. Entrance fee and also deposit fee.
First of all the public washrooms are closed and the shops are closed. And that is the worst to start. The costumer service is very arrogant and you can tell they had problems before with costumers based on the reviews here and in real life. You are not allowed to be bring in a simple bag as they had major chaos before with the bags, we were fine but they were extremely disgusting with their attitude. The fee to get in was high and the price per IB is too high. We wanted to leave a basket and they started cursing and all their rasict remarks started coming out. If you want to have a good time don’t come in. And just to note if you bring any issues to the owner they don’t apologize but blame it on you, scroll down on the reviews and you will see for yourself.
Staff were friendly, fruit picking was fun, good price.
Friendly & courteous owners. Lots of cherry trees to pick from...
Best fruits in town
Great farm friendly family come here every year with the family can easily pick in 45 minutes. As far as no bags have personally seen family's eating and putting fruit in a bag in the past. Unfortunately we all pay for those people. Will be bringing the family again soon to pick.
wonderful place. love it :)
Went here 2 times, I don't know how the service complaints are but both times we went the service was great. We bought 4 baskets and had 3 people. The peaches were amazing the first time and good but not as good the second time. (still huge though!). What people don't understand about the entrance fee is that they don't like people who bring in a huge group that buys only two baskets going in and EATING the peaches in the farm before paying for them. This is why they're wary when they see "those people" AKA huge groups that only buy very few baskets. They don't have anything against a certain demographic or blah blah. They just don't want you treating the pick your own farm as a peach buffet without paying for it. DON'T EAT PEACHES BEFORE PAYING. Follow that and you'll have a great experience. They wouldn't have this pay to get in policy if it weren't for people who did that.
Drove from toronto to find that they were closed...their voicemail says that they are open though..
Very Disappointed. Went to pick peaches that were not ripe. Staff are extremely hard to understand and directions and pricing is unclear. Price for two baskets and two entrance fees was over $30. For the terrible and disappointing experience I would suggest to go buy peaches and other fruits and veggies at any road side market, the price and welcome are much more enjoyable.
Pick your own fruits, fresh...
This farm has terrible service. First of all, I have never ever heard of entrance fee for pick your own peaches at any fruit farm. It’s $3 per person which is more than the fruit itself ($2-per pound). You are greeted with the owner who tells you to look at the board with all their rules. No water, no purses, no bags or beverage. Well thank you very much for your fun experience (not) but no thank you . This is not the way to do business for pleasure!

Sweet fruits , bitter staff and policies. I came here from Toronto. I called them in the morning to enquire about timings and entry fee etc, and they said no fee. But when i reached there, they said its 5$/person. The money is ok, but why are they lying to their customers. Another shock, when they said the time limit is 45 minutes, and why didn't they tell this on the phone, and when you ask them this, they are rude. I have gone to ample number of farms which doesn't have any fee or time limit.
Honestly, one of the worst farms we have been to. The owners are plain rude and made us feel as though we were intruders - "sorry ma'am you can't bring your purse in" "we do not allow water bottles even though its 30+ degrees" "you have to be back in 30 minutes". I don't know what their deal is but we will never go back to this farm again and have advised all of our friends to visit Cherry Avenue instead.
Easy to pick up the peaches. But looks like the owners don't really take care of it. A lot of peaches are on the ground under the trees.
Very pleasant experience picking cherries with the family. Sure there are rules and instructions, but they're not onerous at all. The farm is very organized and neat. The cherries are delicious!
Goooooooooood
They give you 30 mins to pick apple then you have to leave.... Worst apple picking experience I can imagine. And the apples are covered in a thick layer of pesticides!
Cherries were delicious. Corean owners were not.
THE WORST FARM I HAVE EVER ViSITED IN MY LIFE Many people went there and ruined their day. Last year I had bad experience with this farm as the old man were following us in his golf cart all the way like we will steal his farm away. I was forced by the friends and family to go to them again this year because our plan to go to another farm were jeopardized as the other farm told us on phone that their farm is almost empty out and very few fruits we would have. When we went to parkway orchids farm, this time my experience were worst ever in my life. I was about to call police on them because, after buying the ticket and listen to a policy lecture from the old lady the old man struck us at the entrance of the farm and took our ticket in his hand. We were 5 people and he counted us 3 times. He said he would not allow us to take water bottles. Earlier we already had explained to the old lady on the counter about too hot and humid (feels like 34) out side. She allowed us the water bottles on the promise that we will not litter with empty water bottles and tissue papers. (They should keep the garbage drums inside as other farms do). The old man was too bossy and very unreasonable in his tone, language and the policies he described. It seems we went there to work for them. We had altercation with the old man due to his strange behaviour, upon he stood in front of us and stopped our way saying we can not enter his farm. I took my money back at last without even taking a single fruit. I told them that I will give them a bad review. But when I came here to write my review, no wonder I see many others experienced the same. My advise to others will be that it would be good to go any other place or even sit at home rather going there and ruin your family day. The young chap which seems the old couples son was very helpful and I felt pity for him. After going through many other reviews I feel they treat the people base on their race. Obviously this farm is not for people like us.
This is our second year did peach picking here. Okay I have to make this straight: - yes there is plenty of rules but anywhere you go there’s a rule. The rule are realistic and NOT strict at all. We brought huge stroller with big diaper bag and they do NOT force y’all us to leave them in the car or by their gate - yes there is entrance fee. I will say $3 entry fee is very reasonable. In GTA, we are willing to pay $12 why now complaining of $3? Under 3 years old are free - yes the fruit price are more expensive than groceries store, but I thought we are paying for the experiment and the fun too? Plenty of ripe peaches and they are so sweet. My negative comment is the line is very long as they are family business and only 3 people working but other than that, we definitely will go back
Absolutely miserable experience - July 2020. Parking is very limited. Prices are way too high, you have to pay per person to go in + for the fruit. All of that would be fine though since we only go to have a nice experience and have fun with the kids. Not much fun at this farm. You get a tiny basket (can't bring your own) and you have 35 minutes to fill it. The owner sits at the entrance and its just business for him - no smiles or pleasantries. He informs you of the rules and in you go. While waiting in line we saw a couple of families leaving the farm and if kids had a loose peach in their hands (instead of in the basket), the owner would yell at them and they had to give those peaches to him at the entrance! He did not allow them to take one extra peach. They also check your bags going in and would probably do the same on the way out! I had a feeling that the owners somehow expect to be "defrauded" out of peaches and all their effort goes into making sure nobody takes an extra fruit. The whole atmosphere is reflective of that. Never going back.
Terrible customer service! We were a big group (more than 10 people) and the lady owner was so picky that one of the children was over the age of 4 and had to go back to pay before admitting the whole group. She got us into an argument and conflict and we ended up leaving the farm. We never came across such an non-friendly place in this region in more than 15 years.
(Translated) Went last year. I went there early, there were few people, and the experience was very good! I picked a lot of pumpkin, corn and apples???????? (Original) 去年去的。当时去的比较早,人很少,体验非常的好!摘了好多南瓜玉米苹果????????
Not welcoming
A must visit!! I enjoy coming here every year. Such a cute date or family activity. This year for peach picking during COVID, they closed their market but opened up for fruit picking. You pay an entrance fee per person, pick your fruits, and return to weigh and pay for your fruits. Peaches were weighed at $2.75 per pound. They had lots of plump and ready to be picked peaches ????
(Translated) Delicious peaches, nice setup and good service. (Original) Pêches délicieuses, belle installation et bon service.
It was really a RIP off since we a only had 45 minutes to pick from a few good trees
The owner probably owner did not allow a pregnant women to use washroom. Said u have to go out side old town for washroom.
Very pretty farm, but man was it expensive! That $3 entrance fee is so bizarre. I've never in my life paid an entrance fee to pick fruit. They charged $2/lb for apples and end-of-season peaches. Friendly staff, yummy fruit and tidy farm though!
Minimum 5 dollars per peron, if pick less no refund, pick more pay extra. Owner does not like people asking questions.
We were just there recently and it was a pleasant experience. The peaches were great!! Watery, huge, delicious.... We have seen a lot of comments about the owners... We'd say the owners are by no means the most talkative hosts we have seen, but they aren't at all mean or rude or anything. They are just quiet people and when they do talk, they like to get straight to the point. So it may be interpreted differently. Though we'd agree that some of the instructions for picking the fruits could be more clear, especially when given verbally. Now, the instructions were given by another dude, not the owners. It felt like it was his first day there.... Otherwise, we had a good time there.
Best orchard in Canada ever.
Very fresh and ripe peaches, the owners (dad and son) were nice and courteous. You only get half an hour to pick the peaches, but it's just enough time to fill our two large baskets.
Super nice and friendly owner and very helpful. Tastey peaches ????
DO NOT GO HERE! Only the signage is the most welcoming! Total waste of time at this place with rude owner /staff named Eddy! Coming here after a long, but beautiful scenery, was put into an overpriced, poorly managed store and charging for admission for picking (without website mentioning of fee), we left extremely disappointed. We are a family of 2 Adults, 2 Seniors, 2 teenagers from Toronto. Being of Asian race myself, it is a total disgrace to the representation of Canadian multiculturalism and peaceful area of the Niagara region. Too bad, and it is curious wonder why tour buses and travel guides bring people here. Extra 5 min drive, you can find much better alternatives.
Prices were high. Fruit great. Owner in store very rude.
When I came to this place, the workers were very rude. This place is a waste of time and a waste of money. If you want to have fun with the family I dont recommend coming here.
