I have shopped at this store for many years.I was always grateful for the produce and the home made cookies and bread. Today was the last straw.Everything over priced, the green beans look like they were sitting in the back for many days.Everything is not top quality . The staff there are amazing.there so helpful. Except the young man who just dusted over our carts,,wake up buddy understand you are suppose to be keeping us safe,,I.m done shopping there.I will now go to Farm Boy for the things I need. I'll be back in the spring maybe things might be better,

If you are not picky about price differences, this is a well organized grocery shop with a wide variety of choices especially for vegetables and fruits and a good salad bar. The thing I liked most is the beautiful ambient of the store which makes the shopping time a pleasant one. Staff was friendly.

My foodie senses came alive! I expected big bags of onions and lots of apple cider but got everything from kumquats to sea asparagus. I left with some great gourmet sauces, sausages, and crusty grain bread. Look forward to trying their frozen take-home curry dinners on my next visit to NOTL.

A lot of packaged items you would see in grocery stores. They do have some local produce. I went for local honey from the Niagara region, but didn't find any. I was obviously looking for items in their shelves and not one single person asked me if I needed any assistance. Just a couple of staffers standing a few feet away at the cash, having a 'deep' conversation using colourful language.

Other local options (Valumarts in NOTL and Virgil) have far more expensive produce and less options, plus few local selections. For the area, this is the best option for groceries. Could use some better necessity options (not always in stock, and sometimes premium stock is the only ones available).

STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE - bought an Ace bakery baguette. It was at least 3 inches on both ends stale and after cutting it the inside was white like when you leave bread in the freezer too long. I am from Toronto and I never had to take food back. Since living in Niagara-on-the-Lake I have had at least 7 bad products and I have only been living here 4 months. I don’t understand why people would accept this. Btw, i didn’t buy the baguette from a day old section, it was their regular product. I also thought I would try a Rudolph’s 5 grain packaged bread and it was dry and was white with freezer burn as well. Wake up Harvest Barn.

Very little in the store and not great quality, very little baked goods and I am questioning their "grown locally signs". When I asked about which farm grew a particular vegetable the cashier had to check with someone in the back and the answer was "it was from Joe in Fonthill but they didn't know his last name or the farm. I don't think I will be going back to this store anytime soon.

I think this place is a bit overhyped its not what it use to be. Before it really was a half bakery and Fresh goods store .Now it is more of fresh produce, lots of frozen stuff as well.Although you'll find baked cookies and bread. they sell yummy salads but stay away from the cease wraps. All and all friendly staff beautiful location.

I was in at the Harvest Barn today, August 4, 2015, specifically looking for Dutchman's Gold Raw Honey, as they have it in the Harvest Barn in St. Catharines. Not only could it be nowhere to be found, but no one around to assist. I finally saw one young man and I asked him about the product. He had no idea about the honey I requested, but instead mumbled and pointed to an area of the store. I asked him again what he said and he pointed to a corned of the store and to speak with 'Emily." With that, he walked off. I went to see if I could find 'Emily', but she was nowhere to be found. I just moved to Niagara On The Lake and quite frankly, very disappointed in the service and store itself. The young man in question should have taken me to find 'Emily' and not walk off leaving me standing there. He, too, should have knowledge of his store products, not responded with a, "I don't know.' Will I be back? Not a chance. They've lost me as a customer. Instead, I'll go to the St. Catharine's store, instead.

I was impressed with the care the owners take in sourcing local produce and products. The quality and freshness of their fruits and vegetables really stands out from the rest. Great spot to go grab a salad, sandwich, soup or meat pie for lunch. The staff were very friendly and you can enjoy your lunch on their outdoor picnic tables. There’s a jungle gym outside for your kids to play on too.

I was visiting Niagara on the Lake today and we decided to pop in to the Harvest Barn to pick up a few things. We are only a 40 min drive away. We were VERY impressed at how fresh the fruit was! We picked up a peach pie for dessert that was amazing! The staff was so friendly and very informative. Shay surpassed the expectations for customer service and had me and my wife laughing and feeling very "welcome". Well done Harvest Barn!

I visit this store when I'm in Niagara on Lake because of the freshness. I must say I will be writing to the owner to complain when I get their details, Firstly at the deli counter I was informed that I wasn't ordering my purchases in the incorrect manner, Hence making the shop assistant seemingly walk more, I was quite taken back and I did make a comment, But a polite one. Then asked another assistant to help me find something, without looking at me she pointed to the vegetable stand, I said thank you and she kept walking away. Then going to check out the lady at cash was very " I hate my job look", I paid quite a bit of money, and said thank you, to which I didn't get a reply, or have a nice day. My opinion of the staff is they have no people's skills, need retraining, a smile and a thank you for your business would go a long way to customer satisfaction, I won't be so nice the next time I go in if I get the same bad manners and unprofessional staff.
