They limited what we could buy here without posting it. The cashier was a paranoid maniac. She ripped open one of our purchases just to stop us from buying over their unposted limit. When my wife went back into the store while I was bagging our purchases, the cashier watched her with evil eyes just to make sure my wife wasn't buying more. Major OCD. She shouldn't be working in a public place like this.

Not good experience as customer as one grocery manager waste my time 15 minutes of morning solving issues about bread department and eventually he said that I dont handle this department and nothing I wanna do and then I ask for general manager he was not there so if I want to complain I have to come tomorrow or call tomorrow to waste more time to improve theirs service.

Not your typical 'Freshco' by far, since it's so much better. Well-stocked and well worth going out of your way for, especially when visiting Niagara Falls @ Kalar Rd and Lundy's Lane. They offer a fine selection of international and domestic wines to choose from. .

We needed a store like this in Niagara Falls. A large selection of international food will make anyone happy. They always have some sale going. Its a huge store well stocked. There is also a pharmacy and lots of personal hygiene products. Vegetables are fresh and also fruits. They sell beer also. You will need a quarter for the cart. There are lots of parking spaces including for disabled. Staff is friendly and helpful.

This store is always having great sales, plus there are unique things that you can find here that you can't find anywhere else. They have a large variety of international food plus a great produce section. Parking is is free and there is plenty of wheelchair accessible parking. You have to pay a quarter for the cart so make sure you bring one.

I really like this grocery store. It's well stocked, particularly good for ethnic foods, and always looks clean and well organized. The woman in front of me was price matching all her items with another store's flyer. So with a little time spent looking at the weekly advertisements you can do one-stop shopping at a single store! The store is clean and organized. Produce section is fresh and has good variety. You have to keep an eye out for products on sale because I have found, more than once, that the sale item is incorrectly stocked, leading you to believe there isn't a choice. The shelf will be marked as sale item but another brand will be there, which you may accidentally pick up and end up paying regular price. Staff is generally friendly but often seem unfocused. Sometimes as soon as they collect payment they turn away from you, even when no one else is in line. They converse among themselves a lot, which is fine, if there isn't a customer in line. Shouldn't customers be the focus? I like the store and overall the experience isn't unpleasant.

Watched a worker bring in the carts and leave them inside the store. No one was wiping them down or disinfecting any of them. People not paying attention to the direction arrows. If you are following the arrows there is no way to get back to the front of the store without disobeying the arrows.

By far one of the worst grocery stores in the area. It’s just a hot mess how they operate the store and it’s always too crowded. I’d much rather drive an extra few minutes to go to Food Basics.

I love this freshco! The staff is amazing, they are very helpful for finding things as well! I wish they had a reduced produce section but thats a corporation problem. I always see the owner around the store too! They also carry local produce (from Ontario and Canada) and they have local bread from Niagara Falls as well. Nice to see that, and hope they continue to bring more local farmer's products into their stores!

My original 1-star review is attached below, detailing the events that were responsible for this rating. Yesterday, I received a phone call from the Customer Service Manager from this location (in response to the survey we filled out from our receipt) who apologized and re-assured us that this would not happen again. I was pleasantly surprised by how this was handled by Freshco management and wanted to alter my review to reflect that. "I just returned from this location after having had one of Freshco's employees belittle and borderline verbally harass my disabled girlfriend. She was trying to use a $3 coupon that she had every right to use and that was identical to a coupon she had used previously at this same location earlier in the week. For some reason, the employee at check-out attempted to deny her the right to use said coupon, spoke to her very rudely throughout the process of checking with her manager, continued to dehumanize her throughout the interaction, and after her manager informed her to process the coupon, this same employee chastised and belittled my girlfriend for donating what she bought with the coupon to goodwill moments later. Irrelevant of how this employee's day may or may not have been going and/or what hardship they may or may not be struggling with, this is not something that she/I/we needed today. The escalation, sarcastic remarks, and potential discrimination from this Freshco employee was unequivocally inappropriate."

Prices were ok not great. Produce was ok not great. Charging 25 cents for a cart completely lost them money today. I never carry change. I am guessing I am not alone. So I had to subsist with a basket. Purchase a quarter(ironically) of what I would have. These cart policies are why I rarely shop at a place like this. I will say this, cashier can move a line... well done... new to Niagara. Will likely look for other alternatives. I have been back since. The customer service here has been good. I still only come here if I am just in a hurry and grabbing a couple items. Like I said, I never carry change. I increased to 3 stars as they usually have the things I need and service is fast.

FreshCo has put a big focus on South Asian foodstuffs, which is why I love buying my groceries here. There are fruit seasonally available here that cannot be found at other non-specialty supermarkets; such as breadfruit, sapote (chikoo), atemoya and other fruits/veggies specific to South Asian cuisine. The dry goods aisles have tons of things straight from India, as well. The produce clerks are very friendly, though the cashiers not always (I think the store is short on cashier staff)!

Okay products and prices yet the worst customer service ever ! They don’t even greet you( except a girl with a ginger hair sorry I can not remember her name but she is very friendly). They make you feel like you are begging staff to give you something for free. If you are not happy with that job , do not do it ! Even manager is not friendly. I think the HR need to pay attention training and consistency in customer service and behaviour! I start going Food basics even though it is not in close destination to where I live because they have a better customer service !

Unfortunately I did not have a great experience at this store today. I’m part of an organization that cooks for the homeless and all the food is donated by the volunteers who help cook. I went in to purchase 40lbs of ground beef today and was told that there was a limit of 19. To which my reply was, ok but this is for charity, I’m cooking for the homeless. Unfortunately I was still denied by the manager to purchase 40lbs of ground beef. I will no longer shop at this grocery store. I have been volunteering for this organization for over a year and this is the first time a grocery store has done this, infact most grocers, when told it’s for charity they usually offer even more of a discount. Highly disappointed in this manager and this grocery store.

You take the good with the bad. This is our go-to grocery store but we acknowledge its shortcomings. Let's start with the positives. Fair prices. Diverse inventory of food products. Very kind and helpful employees. The negatives also have to be mentioned. Their COVID-19 standards aren't equivalent to other grocery stores in the region, although I wouldn't say they've been the worst. They recently renovated the store and switched around some aisles. It's a mess. Some aisles look very clean and others are half-empty. Products aren't always where you think they will be. You've got to do some digging.

I do like visiting this location, great prices, fabulous selection of fresh vegetables. Clean location to add. The only downside in my opinion is that fellow shoppers crowd the aisle and not paying attention to the very clearly defined arrows - this of course is not the stores fault! Will be returning.

Ive got to say from its arrival in Niagara Falls Freshco has yet to dissappoint me. With its low everyday prices without loss of quality like at other cheaper stores. The hours of operation are so convenient as well. Who opens at 7am? Freshco! Whos still open at 9:30 at night when u are baking and realize u forgot an ingredient..... Freshco.. yes walmart is too. But i dont want to go there . A simple quick trip in freshco and my cookies are saved! Thank u... for being affordable and convenient in these hard times .

I went in the store for something specific, but ended up buying a few more things. I felt a little rushed while checking out... the next buyers groceries were coming down the conveyor belt before I could finish bagging my groceries. Under normal circumstances I dont care, but not when we are supposed to be social distancing due to covid.. I think they need to slow down a bit and respect the social distancing. Other grocery stores wipe down their customer touchpoints in between customers, which is what I thought freshco did, but not so.

Worst grocery store in Niagara Falls. The meat is horrible. The owner is a complete goof. Hires a African mystery shopper who I watched hold back a young girl, first off working in security, not allowed to hold back especially touching the person without confronting the citizen with proof of ID. Proving who you are. This man was grabbing on to the girls arms and pushing her around. The goof owner standing around allowing it. I saw the police offers show up and agreed this mystery shopper was not allowed to lay his hands on her, let alone talk to her the way they both were! Worst service ever here! All staff members are rude! Please everyone watch out for the owner and his African mystery shopper! If he puts his hands on anyone else I hope this goof gets charged!!!!!!!!!!!

I was totally disgusted with the way a worker named Brenda treated a young girl who was obviously just starting there. All she did was call her out infront of customers and kept being really unprofessional, she wouldn't leave this poor girl alone. My husband gave the girl our number and told her she was doing the best as she knew and she didn't deserve to be treated the way she was, I could see tears welling in these girls eyes but she had to hold it back, it broke my heart. Good food but would never shop there again after seeing what I saw. We convinced this girl its best to resign and focus on school and a better job, totally disgusted would give this store 0 stars if I could.

This store is a joke, it's not what you would call a Canadian store....use to shop there all the time....now when you enter the store it's like you're not in Canada anymore. Family , friends and I feel extremely uncomfortable, we are looked at like we are the foreigners in there country. I love freshcos variety. I love that they have an ethnic food options. So I can usually get anything I need for what ever I want to cook. No matter wherethe dish came from. However, this freshco does something that I consider dishonest and feel they should let their customers know about this practice. This Frescho freezes their bread. I have bought bread here believeing that it is fresh onky to find it is still frozen. It has happened a few times and when I buy bread it seems to go bad after aday or two. Not like other places where I buy bread and it lasts over. a week or more. I never buy their bread anymore. I go to the backery a few blocks away to buy bread. I don't have a problem with them freezing their bread but it is dishonest buy letting their customers assume it is fresh.

I have a bad knee I cant walk your store the way it is set up. What I noticed was all the arrows and barriers and still customers are jamming the aisles no 6ft. Apart. Signs that say please let the customer in in front of you at check out finish before you carry on that is not being carried out I was packing groceries the other customer came and stood shoulder to shoulder with me packing her groceries the staff should be making sure this is carried out..piles of empty boxes from staff filling tables they actually make you feel they are being interrupted if you try and get something from the table. I know everyone is frustrated But customers keep them in a job . Not a great experience..

I go into freshco all the time. Usually they have good prices and the store is clean. The only problem I have is that no one polices masking law. I have been in this store 4 times where someone came in not wearing a mask. At that point I walk out.

Good store. Lots of options of grocery available. They always have great deals to offer. You can get many international food items here which is very good. The vegetables here are very fresh. The price are good too. I often go there, there is always long que in the checkout. But the cashiers are very rude and not helpful.

Suggest looking at the expiry date of all products. I purchased cheese today and became quite unwell (today is January 22,2019) there was cheese that i purchased that expired August 4,2018. There was not much the manager could do besides refund my $4. Not about the money, more about the principle. Please check the expiration date of all groceries purchased here.

what a disgusting display i just witnessed. an asian man with broken english was asking an employee for an empty box on his produce cart. the employee refused to give it to him until he said please. he kept on the man saying "i know you can do it, your not getting the box until you do." this went on. another employee was standing by laughing. i am totally disgusted with this. i wish i would of stepped in but i was so disgusted with the treatment of this man i had to walk away.

Never in my life have I ever visited a store as dirty and mismanaged as the frescho in niagara falls. All of the fruits and vegetables that I have bought here eaither had mold on it when I bought it or went bad in the first few days of buying. Also the entire store is disgusting. It looks like nothing has been cleaned in ages. A while back there were carts everywhere overflowing with merchandise blocking walkways. The only good thing about this store are the few employees that actually act like they care, a tall man who works in the aisles and a few of the cashiers.

Fair pricing. Friendly staff. Good quality meat and produce. Nice big parking lot. Kind of a pain, you need to make sure you bring a quarter to get a cart. I tend to avoid peak times as they don't seem to open new lanes up when the rush starts. Long lines at these times.

We were staying at the KOA a couple blocks away and saw this store. You need to use a quarter for a cart and bags are not free either. The inside of the store is fresh and bright. I thought the prices were very reasonable and the stock was very well maintained. It is kind of like an Aldi's in the US, but better.

They are selling good quality products. There are several other countries foods there too. I always buy a rice bag, sometimes on sale is really good deal. You should check their flyer every week.

This place is a dump. The staff are dirty looking. Nobody even wears masks in this store either. I'm sure not everyone has an exemption. Also, so many people hang around this store. It's just not a good environment. If you're looking for a good discount grocer, go to Food Basics on Montrose.

An excellent variety of fruits and vegetables at a reasonable price. Otherwise a typical grocery. I was hoping to more healthier & ready-made dinners as there are lots of motels & hotels nearby.

I just went there before closing to grab some stuff and a bottle of wine and I had to go to cashier #3 and the lady was so polite asking me for my birthday by saying ( may I asks you for your date of birth ) nothing wrong for asking for my DOB because that is there policy but the way was asked . Great job lady I hope your manager will appreciate your customer service.

Fresco is very convenient for myself and my husband to shop at, however we try to avoid your store because every single time we come into your store, it's like a meeting place for young adults, they stand around talking , they don't move when u try to get by, they honestly make the store sloppy, when you try to look at any item in any isle at any time you are blocked someway, somehow, it's absolutely annoying, tonight being Sunday, I came into your store around 8:30 PM, crowds of these young adults everywhere, I am not sure why it's a hangout or even why your store condones it being a hangout, but living in the neighborhood I was excited for your store to open, now at this point we try and avoid it like the plague. I have spoken with many of our neighbors and it's unanimous, we would sooner drive across town to retrieve our groceries than shop at your "hangout", please, you would have a good no great store if you hadn't allowed it to be turned into a meeting place!! There are groups inside and outside, it is very uncomfortable to say the least. I apologize for being negative, I sincerely love Freshco stores however we have never encountered any other Freshco stores to be a hangout, you come in do your shopping and you leave, not block isles and be disrespectful to your fellow neighbors which is very disheartening. Thank you for allowing me to give my opinion...

I love Freshco. Best prices in city. Store is easy to shop. Clear isles very clean except for dairy cooler at back always smells. But I guess most stores have an issue with that.

Well I don't recognize most of the vegetables and it would be nice to have information cards or something there for us local people to know what to do with this stuff or maybe have more of the regular local produce. I've also found quite often that the boxes of leafy greens or not fresh.

This store is horrible. I call it Unfreshco. They have out if date items on their shelf. I got the manager once to show him some bacon bits that were 3 months past "best before" date. He left them on the shelf! Could not even believe it.
