Affordable nice place simple shop

Robert Worth

Great prices..

Like this place! Helps us so much to save on certain items. Selection and availability of products varies from day to day so you don't know what to expect there. However, some goods cost almost the same price as in the big chain stores, and sometimes vegetables and fruits are overripe or even rotten.

A great concept but recently seems to have gone sideways. Prices have increased to the point it’s not longer worth a special trip to shop. Some prices are more than markdowns at grocery stores. The staff is doing their best to help. The decision to increase prices comes from Head office. It is misleading to tell those who donate items that they’ll go to the most needy. Because most of the folks who are the neediest can’t afford to shop here. Sadly until head office acknowledges that they need to revisit pricing, the target group for their services is being missed. Sad to see these changes.

I used to shop here for many years and it was so helpful but now .. I am writing a review because I am disgusted and upset with your Burnaby location 7753 6th Street. I was in there today (July 31st) and was disgusted by the amount of moldy food being sold as well as well past expired food INCLUDING milk products... You could visibly see the yogurt lids were expanded from the pressure inside due to being several days expired and not even in the fridge. They were on display near the produce ( which was ALL mushy and QUITE moldy), it wasn't cold enough to keep this produce stored fresh and the yogurt was warm. Today was July 31st...and these yogurts expired July 26th. You can't sell visibly moldy food and expired milk products...people will get sick! We need help..but aren't that desperate to make a special trip all the way to quest to save SOME money and get almost all expired food and moldy unsafe foods. The pricing in the store has gone up quite a bit to the point...it isn't much cheaper to shop at quest ESPECIALLY with food quality like that. Again I am appalled and disgusted and am not sure I will be back to shop, I may have to get less at a grocery store because at least I know I won't get sick!

Great place to be. Prices are cheap. Just make sure you research expired food because some can be eaten after the "best by" date. You need a membership to buy though

Love Wins

Mostly just a place to pick up junk foods and small snacks. Other essentials are close to or at store prices but near/past expired. Protein is very expensive. Good for condiments, chips, chocolate and snacks you'd never think to try. Staff are great.

Doesn't seem to have much stock since their fire.Allowed the new liquor store to commandeer most of the parking near entrance without a word of protest. Staff are hard to find, prices are hard to find, staff won't give straight answers about the best days to shop for certain donated items. I know, it's a charity, but Geeez....

Narges Govahi

Reasonable prices for low-income people.

Lots of candy hard to tell as of yet not alot of healthy stuff .. but I will update review as time goes on

Quest Foods sells very low cost grocery items (specifically) for those on Social Assistance. It is not open to the general public. Such an incredible service for those who have fallen on rough times. The staff is mainly made up of volunteers, tho they do have regular paid employees too....all of the above are super helpful, friendly and non judgemental. The food available varies from day to day, as they depend entirely upon donations from local businesses. Prices are incredibly low, and considering the cost of living in the Vancouver area, and the excruciatingly small amount that is provided monthly by our gov't to those on assistance, this shop is a huge help for those who are surviving under said circumstances.

Nice option for those in need of cheap groceries. Just wish that the frozen meats were not so overpriced.

Bryon Grove (VIRZAZ & Co.)

Great service and amazing prices. You can get 3X as many groceries here for the same amount of money as you would at Walmart. They don’t have a huge selection, but they are great for snacks, crackers, non-meats, and juices.

Varying grocery goods, selection dependant on what retailers and manufacturers have supplied. Some locations have produce as well. Usually well reduced prices. A membership is required, usually obtained through referral by an organization that supports the income disadvantaged.

Not very much there, unless you just need bread and milk. I think you need to go everyother day to really get much. I went to the burnaby store. For me, I did get a few items marked way down from regular prices. I have to commend quest for stepping up for much needed venue. More distributors should get involved in this venture. It is very expensive today to eat healthy, when you earn less than $25,000 a year.

Dwaine Prior

Selection of items are limited and occasionally over priced. But I find shopping there is well worth the time spent..

Fantastic organization. Sadly the Burnaby location is CLOSED. Since Sept 2nd. "There is no word yet when the market will be able to reopen." Keep checking their website for new location or pop-up. (A fire at the Hookah lounge did the damage. Read about it on the website.)
