I rarely shop here as I've had very bad experiences before. Several times I bought meat and it was rotten or expired when I got home. Do not trust their meat! Since this store is not very popular a lot of their canned goods may be expired since they don't care about these things. Their fruits and veggies are ok, sometimes very expensive. I used to come here for their supplements but when I noticed they were a dollar or two more than other places I go, that nixed that. Some of their high traffic stuff is ok, just make sure you always check expiry dates!

It's a Choices, and it feels like every other Choices market I've been in. The selection of certain organic and foods that are considered healthy is great - I can buy Cacao (not cocoa) paste and powder here AND have a choice of brands. There are nice natural cleaning options here as well. That said, for a store that focuses on organic and healthy foods and everything that comes with it, they have an enormous potato chip selection. And they're almost always on sale when I shop there, so even if you're not into organics, check this place out if you need Kettle chips and need to save a buck, you might get lucky.

Fresh vegetables, produce, fruits, cereals, milk, butter, cheese and many other organic products are here too. The pricing is far too high and more reasonably priced organic offerings can be found at Walmart and SuperStore. You can also buy fresh cut flowers here too!

October 19th, 2019 I recently bought a fresh Free run turkey from choices for Thanksgiving. Although I have bought these turkeys before and they were good this turkey was full of blood and tough. Embarrassing, I had company so had to serve parts of it. When i told the choices manager ,he did not note my name or offered to do anything Response,he said he would mention it to the meet manager. I do not expect a free turkey but some recognition for a difficult situation that I was in. I love shopping at choices they are small Canadian company and I support them. Good place for health foods - organic, plant-based, eco, alternative foods, etc. Not a wide range of ethnic foods though and lacking some items that would be commonly stocked in other supermarkets (like this one time I really wanted Shin ramyun). Prices are on the high side. They have a prepared/cooked food shelf too but I find it expensive and not that good. Overall, it's a great place for specific things like healthy/sustainable products, but lacks range.

I am constantly having to ask where things are and often even the staff have a hard time finding things. The meat selections look pretty good but I haven't bought meat there. Prices are high but that's due to the alternative nature.

Most of the people that work here are friendly. The prepared foods and hot foods are a bit lack luster and the prices are high compared to other organic health food places.

Health and suppliment rack has always had what i was looking for, and they have these awsome peperoni stick wrapped in a cheese bun baked good in the back for like $0.89 and they are very very delicious and cheap considering the price of of everything else in the store.

I drive 20 mins away from Metrotown to get my groceries here. I pay more for my groceries here than I would at Superstore or T&T. Why? The staff and store atmosphere. Closest you'll get to a balance between old style grocery stores / farmers market feel with big name brands in Burnaby. Excellent organic options.

This place is great, clean, spacious branch of Choices! It has a great makeup and skincare counter, with caring and knowledgeable staff. Also, quite an extensive vitamin and supplement isle. If you're looking for a place to get great supplement powder, this place has a ton of great options (I guess the name makes sense). I would recommend Vega (it has an option that's sweetened with Stevia instead of sugar). This is also my go-to place for Kombucha (RISE is delicious) and Zevia (a guild-free pop alternative that comes in all conventional pop flavours). If you haven't been here yet, definitely give it a visit!

I have been going to Choices store in Yaletown for a long time and I love this store. But this store here in Burnaby was disappointing not because of there products but people who comes in without face mask. I asked the cashier and said they recommend but not mandatory. I was surprised to hear that. And one thing more this cashier should be more friendly . I will never come to this store again.

I just visited during the social distancing measures are in effect. I was concerned as the security guard had done three offenses that I would consider in breach of social distancing. First she caused a traffic jam that had people unable to move freely closed them in closer than 2m. Second, she stopped, less than a meter from me, and asked if I was done shopping when I was standing at the checkout... And last but not least, she was blocking the entrance with a coworker as they were talking at length socially. No one could get around them without getting closer than a couple feet of them... if the point of a security guard is to enforce social distancing, then they should be practicing it. I also think the store was a little over full and should be limiting the number of people in the store. I am happy to wait 10-30 if it means this can be handled reasonably.

Choices is improving "choice" and local producers now. At this location the meat dept is good. Some lamb, venison, turkey, etc. Using local, specialized products. I've been shopping at Whole Foods in Burnaby and Spud.ca for 40% of my shopping. The vegetable section is quite good. The dairy, too. Today I bought konjac noodles. Nice package design, easy to spot. A big spice selection, too. Unfortunately, no soup bones. I will try elsewhere.

I have spoken to a number of staff about the lack of masks. I have found that about 50% of the staff were not wearing masks when I have shopped there. When I asked the staff why they were not wearing masks their answers leed me to believe that the store is anti mask. My solution is to not shop there until the staff start wearing masks again

I ve gone to this branch a few times, for awhile now cause it is closer to my house but after a recent experience with a floor staff (Nxxxxxx) I would not go back and support this branch or brand ever again. My experience: I had asked the floor staff if he can check an item in the back (shelf was empty) cause he was already stocking the section and he said, "NO" (paraphrasing) to the request - a simple, "Sorry, blah blah bs.." would had sufficed.

This place has been going downhill, I've noticed a massive increase in prices lately to the point that some of the pricing has become absurd, especially for cheap staples like grains and sugar. Probably as the result of that, I've also noticed that a lot of produce spoils very quickly after I bring it home. Last time I bought cucumbers, they got slimy in 3 days! On my last trip there, I was looking at cheese and prepackaged deli olives. I happened to check the best before date on the cheese, and it was a month prior, and the olives were 2 weeks past the BB date. I've switched to Whole Foods now even though it's a longer trip.

Very expensive and overpriced items, however, usually a few things on sale, which actually bring the prices down to an average level of most other grocer's. Staff is mostly friendly and helpful. They make mistakes frequently on some of the tagged sale items, then charge you full price, it can be a bit challenging then, when dealing with management.

Great place to come for concentrated mushroom powder. (reishi, turkey tail, lion's mane they have it all!) Staff was friendly and helpful, and they had almond milk branded MALK which I found amusing. Also the lady ahead of me in line had a delightful purse that was shaped like an elephant. ????!

I just found this place and I’m pretty happy with it. They have a decent selection of organic foods, and their deli is great! I do wish they had a bit more for organic produce, but I am usually able to find most things I need.

Haven't been to this Choices location for at least a year, stopped in out of cut more than anything. Also, had a $10 coupon burning a hole in my wallet, needing to be used by Jan 1. Was actually nicely surprised by sales and great pricing they had on many items I buy regularly- left with 2 large FULL bags of groceries for about $60. Will make a point of watching their flyers weekly, and going back more often. Thanks Choices!!
