We have the opinions of real people like you who have information of the products of Sobeys Uptown Centre (Fruit Store) in New Brunswick (Canada).
As of day the firm receives a score of 4.2 stars out of 5 and the rating was based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, the average of ratings that it reaches is very good, and it's based on a high number of reviews, so we can think that the evaluation is very credible. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they are happy, it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to place evaluations when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Fruit Store belongs to the category of Grocery store.
The new store is beautiful. It has an old school feel to it and is also very modern. A lot of great options for grab and go food. The staff are very friendly and helpful as well!
My only complaint is the price they want for a little roast...lol
I can hardly wait for the new store. Always friendly and helpful staff.
Can be rather pricy, but there are some good deals to be found here.
Had everything I wanted. Was only here for a quick trip so I don't have much else to say.
Usually fairly decent. Unfortunately the last two packages of hamburger I've bought there have been disgusting, and not edible.
Usually decent prices, shopping late at night is great if you don't like crowds.
A bright and well designed store where you don't have to walk miles to find what you need!
Good Sobeys and food selection, busy at times. Pretty much lost interest after they stopped the 24/7 hours, Oromocto location is quieter.
Ok i used to enjoy going into this particular sobeys store but on my there one employee made my visit completely uneasy first off accusing me of pocketing or stealing whenever i paid for everything that i got. Yes the items that started off in my cart changed i can change my mind since everything is so expensive everyone has to pinch as much as we can. Not every person is a thief not everyone has to steal. Every time I doubt it that my social anxiety is going to disappear any time soo. That is for sure
First time walking in there was a bit overwhelming, it took quite a while to find what I was looking for but after some exploring the aisles seemed straightforward. The only major confusion I had was the check outs. I was looking for an express lane since all I had was bandaids but was ushered to the grocery line where people with carts of groceries were lined up. Wish it was more clearly labeled where to go. But next time I know. Edit: I can understand a bad first encounter but a second just makes it a pattern. It seems everytime I go to this location an employee is being terrible. Really makes me want to avoid this place because the employees I have encountered here always make the experience a terrible one so far.
It's a beautiful supermarket with high quality products and a little bit expensive.
My wife shopped at this location on Tuesday morning (Senior courtesy hour). I waited in our car. Upon entering the store the shopping carts were carefully sanitized by friendly staff who gave a cart to each customer as they entered. Hand sanitizer was also provided Distancing and directional travel arrows were marked and maintained. My wife returned with groceries along with several compliments which I will share. She noted that staff were wearing gloves and were careful to clean the checkout belts after each customer along with changing their gloves each time. The cashiers were protected behind plexiglas shields as well. Health safety was obviously a major concern and was much appreciated by both of us.
Nice and clean. Has a variety of gluten, and dairy free options. Also have delicious fresh ready made food. Overall a very nice upgrade I love Sobeys extra.
Love the new store, great new gluten free options
It's very cramped, hard to navigate the aisles. Don't think I'll head back, i don't need extra challenges when shopping with children.
There were a great offers today !!
Its Sobeys, it's a nice Sobeys, big and clean, but still a Sobeys. Nothing wrong with that, just a supermarket.
Very nice store with great selection of product. I really like the deli sandwiches.
This new store is very well organized , once you get a feel for the floor plan shopping is quick and easy . This store is open 24 hrs a day ,which for a small town is very convenient.
They have thing's that the Superstore never seems to restock since Covid.I try to be loyal to one store but now I just come here.Staff knows where things are as well and there are allways Staff present so you don't have to go looking for a Staff member.I love that!!
Great staff and great selection of food and items that you need day to day.
Miss the 24 hour
Has more variety than super store and Walmart but costs are higher.
Before having my son I would shop here for most of my groceries. Since my husband works out of town I decided to stop there today with my little one to restock my fridge. Unfortunately, I couldn't get all I needed as I had no way to juggle a cart and baby at once. This store doesn't have carts with a carseat type thing to put babies in who arent' yet old enough to sit up on their own. My only option was to use the stroller and a basket (not enough space for a full grocery order. Needless to say I could only grab the necessities (eggs, milk, bread, and a couple veggies) and left. I will now be doing my shopping at Super Store as they have carts for infants and as an added bonus, parking for parents with infants under 6months.
Support local even though the truth is that the Superstore had a much wider selection.
Very clean and well laid out
Clean and organized, and a good simple layout if you're just running in to pick up something quick (premade lunches counter and bottled drinks right between front door and cashiers). A good location and open 24h.
This is a beautiful Grocery and more store. The newest in Canada I think. Nice Deli. The butcher shop has a glassed in meat ager. Selection in all departments is excellent. Self-serve checkouts, florist, pharmacy, wines, and a lot more.
Good experience but too expensive on most items.
Nothing special but, good employees (Old store review) NEW spot is great, best selection I have ever seen for anything you can almost want food related. Strongly recommend a couple trips through before giving a comment/review.
Friendly staff and quality food. Always a reliable place for grocery shopping.
Open 24/7 Need a say more. Sure I guess, the over night staff is (430AM) professional and ready to serve with a smile.
Great selection and very fresh food ❤
It is my preferred Sobeys location in Fredericton. They seem to have the best lay out, and stock. Typically between Costco and Sobeys uptown we get everything we need for our family of 6. No small feat.
The new store is awesome! Very nice product selection!
The new, expanded location (in the space formerly occupied by Target and, before that, Zellers) is beautiful. I was a little overwhelmed! I have to say though, as impressed as I was by the fact that there's a whole gluten-free section (seriously), I was disappointed that they didn't take the opportunity to expand their international section - they have more of what they had before (Indian, Thai, Chinese, etc.) but there was no Middle Eastern food, for example. I assume it's to avoid directly competing with Scoop and Save, which is just down the street, so I won't sock them points for that! EDIT: the aisles in the centre are noticeably narrower than in the old store, and that is not a compliment...
Worst grocery store I have ever been to. I have been there three times and had problems with staff every single time. Last time I went an employee stopped his pallet of pop too quickly and three cases fell off. My husband felt badly and went over and help him put back on, his response was "I said I didn't need help, but I guess I did" very rude. The first time I found mould on the blueberries, gave them to an employee and he snatched them from me and said nothing. The second time we got into an argument with a lady working there for being rude while we were trying to get by her and four other employees blocking the isle. Also waited about 10 mins at the bakery counter trying to get mini cheesecakes for my kids with lots of people working but no one would help us. Only plus is the car carts, my kids loved those but I will not ever be going back. Super disappointed, as it is a very nice store with good product. Terrible staff.
Friendly staff and fair prices on excellent selections. Looking forward to the new store.
always clean and well stocked. friendly staff.
I like this place. It's in a good location not far from my house. In which it's in walking distance
Great store, I love their staff.
Customers can't follow arrows and staff don't enforce it well enough.
Open 24/7 expect holidays. Great staff. Even in the middle of the night. They are friendly and helpful.
Good selection. Courteous staff, but be prepared to pay for that kind of treatment
Parking lot sucks but the staff is friendly and there is good selection
Nice clean store in a good location. Not a big fan of their meat or produce, but the staff are very nice.
First time visiting this store, have to say it was the cleanest most well organized grocery store in Fredericton. That's not to say the other stores are bad. But that this store is just better. I am sure it helps that it is clearly a newer store but overall its that little bit "extra".
Love the new facility. Great make your own salad bar.
This is a very clean and organized location with a great selection of products.
Nice and bright. Love the new layout compared to the sobeys downtown.
Clean and tidy shop. Very helpful and polite staff. Had a great experience shopping here as everyone went out of their way to help me find things during my first time at this store. Lots of variety in the produce. Fresh and nicely displayed.
This was sobey is great but staff is not friendly at all
Horrible new store. Isles are too small to move around in. Only picked up a few things and then left everything there. I couldn't get out of an isle for 15 minutes. Wish they never moved. I always went to them when It was in the other building. Wont be going to sobeys again though.
The presence of food and absence of minotaur at this labyrinth make it truly one of the most enjoyable mazes!
Nice new store but service is terrible. Every time I would like some of the new fresh prepared items nobody is around and I wait 5-10 minutes just to order. The attached photo was from one of these times, about 8 minutes into the wait...
It's an old staple when it comes to fredericton, lots of parking is available and they're one of the few 24/7 stores available (with the exception of holidays of course).
Cashier was gentle on fruit while bagging, checked eggs and other items at checkout to make sure they were good.
Low sensory shopping in Sunday nights is great.
Great grocery store, has a large selection of foods, and great hours.
The new building is beautiful and clean-looking. It takes some getting used to the way the store is organized--I wouldn't have done it that way myself, but it is what it is. They have self-checkouts now (which take cash!) and the location is so much more convenient--reflected in the fact the store is busier than ever. I think they have more free samples, if I'm not mistaken. All in all, I'm much more inclined to shop there now.
Store always clean and well organized. Staff are helpful and friendly.
I love that this place is open 24/7. Sometimes you just want Covered Bridge - Weekender chips at 4am. Don't judge me.
great new store.and as always best baked bread around.
The 48 day (maybe it's 54 day?) dry aged steak is amazing!
Delayed and then rude customer service at Bakery. I left with out purchasing items. Spoke to Manager who verbally apologized. Thank you. Good thing there are alternative and stellar bakeries in Fredericton to shop at instead who offer excellent Customer appreciation even after mistakes are made. I'm ok with mistakes or bad days, but how it's rectified is what will stand out.
Always a friendly welcome!
Easy access store which is open 24/7. It's very useful to have such store in this small town.
Great shopping experience. Love the wide aisles.
I find it very hard to find products with this layout. However, if you look at it as an adventure in the urban jungle it can be kind of fun ????
Disappointed and rather annoyed with staff(?) at this Sobeys in particular. Last Friday before shopping I tried making my way to the bathroom, only to get hassled/approached by a random man (who I saw chatting with another man and Sobeys employee prior). He asked where I was going after my sister and I went through and empty check out lane to get to the washroom. Note we only went that way because the (clearly dressed) Sobeys employee and those men were chatting and blocking that path. I told him we were going to the washroom and gestured toward the sign/door. Like "that's where it is right?". When we were done I noticed they pushed a little chip display in the way we went through before. I was so annoyed by the encounter I decided I didn't want to shop at the location anymore. It's one thing if the female Sobey's employee had something to say to me, but these two men were in regular clothes? So why is it their business where I am going????
Large, clean store with wide aisles. Prepared food section is expansive and they also have a large bakery too. Service is slow however as even though there were a lot of cashiers working all of the available lines had at minute wait.
Really liking Fredericton's newest Sobey's location - interesting store layout, good selection, and nice to see department's staffed during evenings/weekends and lots of staff to provide assistance.
It could be because I work at the superstore, but I still don't like the new store. It is small and very disorganized. I don't like how they have the Express lanes, then u-scan, then the regular lanes. Its weird how they have seafood in the produce department, and it is hard to find the meat and bakery all together. They just seem to have everything squished together. Other than that the employees are very friendly.
Love sobeys
Friendly workers, reasonable selection of fresh goods, could use some more international selection especially Asian ingredients, but you can't beat 24/7!
Great grocery store. If you are used to layouts of other big chain grocery stores, this one will throw you. The layout is different but it has lots of variety and the selection of prepared ready to eat meals is quite large if you are looking for a quick lunch! They also have little kid carts!
New store is nice, but aisles are too narrow and the flow is not customer friendly.
Great hours and prices.....especially like their buy local policies
The only thing is no longer that Sobeys it is not been evaluated by food. Strawberries and Apples it are because is not been to the buttered bread.
The strangest laid out Sobeys I have ever been to, difficult to find anything. I avoid it when at all possible.
Really nicely place. Payout is confusing at first but lots of helpful people. Love the salad bar!
Everything u expect, great service
Very clean store there wasn't boxes and carts in the isles. Friendly staff!!
Always great staff and experience
The staff is very helpful and friendly. I find the prices a bit high, but I find nice sales sometimes.
Make sure you have your bags they do have brown paper bag for 10 cents.
I really enjoy shopping here!
I find this store utterly unnavigatable. I can't find anything. We used to like the fried chicken more than KFC, but since the move to the new store, it's been sub par. I've also have got to wonder why when they were building a new store, they didn't make it so they could do a pickup business.
Great staff, very helpful. Good selection and descent prices, just like any other sobeys
Good service, and excellent selection. Haven't been unable to find what I'm looking for yet. Good sales too.
Offer free WiFi, it is very nice!
I love the flow if thiS store very nice shopping experrinece
Lots of selection. Even found things I wasn't looking for.
People not following rules, going wrong way in isles, prices have really gone up,when you are one fixed income, you look for cheap meals
There is way better alternatives to this grocery store in the area. Victory Meat Market being the best, but I still have to go to that Sobeys since they have the best grapefruit juice.
Big store with some big prices to match. Did find a few sales but not on what I buy regularly. Much prefer Wal-Mart.
Open 24/7 is great. The staff is knowledgeable about the local products (ie Honey, Oysters, Blueberries). Both the daytime employees and the night staff are very helpful and welcoming.
Always very satisfied and they have an awesome lady front-end manager.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Like shopping here. Good selection.isles well marked re items. Cashiers friendly.
Used to be 24 hr but changed long before covid, I have personally caught dozens if not hundreds of falsely advertised and priced items, male cashiers are terrible people and rude, caught one talking bad about me as I was leaving store he lied when confronted pretended he didn't say anything but I knew, anyway I'd suggest shopping elsewhere but your call
One of the Best Store in Town for Grocery. Why 4 Star ??? Cost $$$$ to do shopping here :( But But But...Love this Place.
A nice gentleman in the fruit section helped me find my list of fresh produce.
The layout is a bit confusing but the service is great in all departments and it has one of the best pharmacies in the city.
Excellent supermarket although the shelves were sparse of product
Beautiful new Sobeys Extra & friendly service.
The store is clean with a large selection, and everything is well placed/easy to find.
Hours are not good. Definitely needs improvement ASAP. I Lived here some time ago and the store never closed.
Everyone is always great here! I love shopping here. It is pretty much the only place I get groceries!
Best place to get groceries in Freddy
Too much prepared foods and small aisles in grocery area. And high prices.
Good selection of pretty much everything with the exception of international foods.
Very friendly staff and nice clean new store, but the aisles in the new store are way too narrow. It's like the grocery store version of trying to get to a middle seat in a crowded theatre.
I want to be clear that this store is not actually bad... It's quite good. I am leaving two stars because they have continuously modified their hours for the worse, making life here more difficult.
Wide aisles and clean store
This is my go to place for groceries and prescriptions.. the staff members are very accomadating
A great store for all your grocery needs fresh produce and the bakery is awesome. Always a large selection of everything. Staff make you feel welcome.
Despite the high demand for products, Sobeys is doing well to keep shelves as stocked as they can.
Amazing grocery store.
Busy place, not enough cashes open for a quick lunch. No microwave in the the seating area to heat up you lunch like most other locations.
I have been there a few times at this new location and I still cannot find my way around. The layout is backward or something. I forget things every time I am there. Also, several things that I buy most every time I am there, are no longer carried I guess. The biggest one being Tropicana Grape Juice. The one thing that keeps me coming back is their signature Butter Crust Bread.
Literally the most unorganized Sobeys I've ever been in. The signs for the aisles make absolutely no sense and the items that would make sense to have close to one another are in sections that make no sense at all. You spend 10x the time in this store just looking for things which obviously isn't ideal but especially during this virus.
Prices can be a bit higher than other grocery places in Fredericton: Walmart, Costco and Superstore.
Would have given it 3 stars, but they decided to not carry certified humane meet anymore. The layout is poorly designed.
Like the layout of the store and despite being busy it didn't feel cramped
Nice store a little bit confusing with the layout if you shop at Sobeys on Regent
Great store, but not as 24/7 as advertised or as shown on google maps. On some holidays they’re simply closed.
The new store is flashy, but not all that easy to get around and is kind of confusing.
Really disappointed. Took my mother shopping here today. No social distancing. Employees and clients not following arrows in the aisles. Noticed one employee not even bothering to wear his mask as he walked the opposite way in the isle towards my senior mother who has COPD. I understand that we are lucky to have very few active cases however, this can change with stupidity. Will choose to shop at Superstore and Walmart who care enough about their clients safety.
At 6 PM on a Saturday, nearly all flyer items are sold out, such as sour cream, shredded cheese, Ruffles lightly salted potato chips, Tostitos hint of lime, and many others.
Was really busy and line up was very long. Super staff directing the line up made the line move very quickly. Well done
24 hours, so that's good. What can I say, it's a grocery store. Sometimes has good 2 for 1 weeks. Check your flyer.
The store has smelled of sulphur strongly for two weeks and in inquiring I got no answers as to what caused it. Would have potentially felt better with answers. The store is putrid and needs to be dealt with, not ignored and cast aside. Switching to a Superstore now.
The last time my husband and I were there we were treated poorly by a cashier. I get it was later and she might have been tired but she was so rude. The gentleman behind us put his basket on the belt and she let out an obnoxious sigh and slammed the divider down. When I paid, she ignored to give me my receipt until I asked for it which she then snapped it off the machine and practically threw it at me. My husband and I just kind of looked at each other and didn't say anything..... Remember, we pay YOUR wadges!!! We will not be back!
Well stocked shelves. They have alcohol! Yippe! Friendly staff
I mean...it's a grocery store. The new exterior is beautiful and modern, and it appears the produce/meat sections have been remodelled as well. However the centre of the store is clearly filled with the old racks from the previous store which makes it look dated in comparison to the rest. As an actual store it is great. I have not noticed the issues with produce that I have seen in the store on regent, and the staff is great.
Wonderful friendly staff. One even looked in the back and found an item that was out on the self!! Most important was a cart that accommodated my son. He finds walking in the store difficult and its to big for the usual seats for kids.
Wow. What a selection... only down side is that it takes me forever to find stuff cause the store is so massive. I like that they offer paper bags for 10 cents. Staff was nice:)
Very nice store, good location,. always stocked, aisles nice and wide, friendly staff, could use a bit more parking
Great place to shop. Prices are somewhat higher than need as pricing fluctuations are seemingly a daily occurrence. Many cannot afford to shop there my
It is my favourite supermarket. But I really wish that it was still open 24hr,like the old location down the street was for decades.Made plenty of late night and early morning trips to that Sobeys back in the day.
I have always appreciated the service at Sobey's, highlighted by the unfailingly friendly and helpful staff in all areas. The prices seem to be on the rise of late, owing I suspect to forces beyond the store's control. That said, I still think the friendly and welcoming staff makes shopping at the store the positive experience it is!
Good place to get groceries. Attached to a good liquor store as well.
Disappointed by the continued unreasonable hours. Was really hoping these limited hours would be resolved by now because I often work all day and get off at 10 (which is closing time since Covid started). I'm left with no time to buy groceries in this city. Other than that the stores not bad.
To Sobeys, I no longer feel safe in your store since you changed your check-outs back to the old ways. As long as we are still in a global pandemic, businesses should be still doing what they can to limit the spread which you are no longer doing to product our vonurable citizens, not your bottom line.
Excellent service, wide variety of different products. Wine tastings are to die for
Great store good prices has everything I'm looking at
Apparantly "Open 24 hours all year" does not include new years ever at 6:30. That big 24 hours sticker feels real bad at a time like this.
Great prices and friendly staff that get to know you. I prefer this location to others when it comes to getting groceries.
Great store...I work here occasionally as a guest promoting Air Miles and in talking to customers they like this store and are excited about the new opening of their bigger store location to happen later this month. I am sure that will be very successful ????
