It is such a cute place and I keep going back just hoping the food at the cookhouse will have improved. We love sitting outside in their seating area, but we are always disappointed because of unsteamed & stale hotdog buns, overcooked and flavorless chicken strips and other such things. Nothing huge, but enough to really disappoint. The prices are also extremely high. That is why we don't go often. The prices could stay higher if the food quality was greatly improved.

Very nice store with a good variety of products from fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, to baked goods. Huge selection of ice cream by the scoop and locally made items like Maple Syrup. This store has been around since 1980 as can be seen by the pics on the wall that show it started as just a roadside stand and how it was built up over the years.

This is a MUST visit for anyone in the area! We were delighted by the variety of local produce, locally made baked goods, the large amount of specialty foods and products! Reasonably priced, it's easy to support this local shop. The staff were pleasant, warm, and friendly. I'd highly recommend the cinnamon knots that are made on site!! So delicious and worth making several visits (as we did)!

I like it for the multigrain bread and grass raised beef. We are starting to buy the big farm raised chickens now. My wife keeps saying she wants to only buy groceries here because of the more healthy nature of everything. It does save $25 in fuel over heading to town. Plus it saves an hour in driving. I had to stop eating the french fries from the cook house. Too good and I was going there too often. I like to buy my garden plants here each spring. I guess what I like best is it takes me 3 minutes to get there from home. I can even go by canoe or snowmobile.

We love going to Kredals. This is a must go place for us in the summer and fall. We love going for a drive to pickup local food and produce. We usually plan to eat there as well. We love the cook house, some of our favorite things to get are the fish and chips or the burgers. Then you can't leave without having some ice cream for dessert, they have one of the largest selections around as well as homemade Sussex ice cream. The baked goods as well as the meat and produce selection is great. Many things are made on site so they are fresh. Our daughter loves to go play in the kids play area and walk through the garden they have setup. When in Hampton, plan to stop here. **** Revision - Dropped two stars off because since being bought out the selection has really fallen off. Feels more like a Dunsters bakery, less selection of baked goods. Also the cook house has gone way downhill this year. Most of the faves we liked are gone and it's like they don't care about how the food it put together at all. Will likely not be going as often anymore. Hope it turns around in the future as it's a place I grew up on. ****

The service provided at the kredl’s cookhouse was very poor. They didn’t have the menu item that I asked for. They were out on several other items as well. It took 25 minutes to get my food. The meal was not good at all. Undercooked and cold. Didn’t taste great either. I will not be going back.

My mother and I recently went out to Kredl's for their restaurant and ice cream just last Sunday. When I was a kid, they had an amazing reputation and they lived up to it. Now, not so much. A co-worker of mine said they weren't all that great any more, but I shrugged it off. We went and both ordered a poutine and a cheeseburger. We also split a hotdog. Pros: it looked very pretty, and the cheese on the burger was nice and thick. Cons: - both of our burgers were burnt to a crisp (black) and we're VERY dry. - the hotdog was so overcooked it looked gray and mummified, and had a slight leathery texture - the poutine had all of 3 curds of cheese - the poutine was really damn salty. I know gravy is supposed to be salty, but wow. - the buns on the burger were so big that a bite of burger felt like it was 60% bread in every bite, which did not help with the whole dry hamburger situation. - service was slower than snails - the only way to box up your food is to stick an other plate on top (R.I.P condiments) and stuff it into a bag and hold on tight for the trip home - they can't be arsed to supply styrofoam or cardboard doggy boxes - the food was stupidly pricy given the quality of the final products - the scoops of ice cream we're tiny. A single cone with 2 small scoops of heavenly hash almost costs the same as an entire tub of it from the store. All in all, it's a sad day to see their quality tank like this. I always looked forward to going to Kredl's, but now I don't think I'll return until I hear of some changes happening.

I've been stopping here since it was just a small stand years ago. Love the expansion, always a great selection of local produce and the more recent addition of ready-made meal and salad options are fantastic. They offer vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. Big selection of ice cream, including Sussex premium ice cream and a waffle cone option. Cookhouse is also fantastic!

However just up the road by the play ground and where there building the new pizza delight in Hampton, there is another market called spuds n' things I HIGHLY RECOMEND. My husband and I and our 5 year old son went in this establishment and got, 3 big Beautiful heads of brocoli 2 caulifower 7 bannas a big turnip 3 nice sized sweet potatoes, and a big romaine lettuce, and also a pack of 6 home made sausage buns for $10.75! AMAZING place to shop. We Highly RECOMEND It.

Absolutely delicious ???? pork and fries.The flavour was great, their fries are excellent. We both would definitely have the same thing again. We saw people going with the burgers, wraps and fish & chips. They all looked good.Great spot to eat on a summer day.The eating area is covered, so it doesn't even matter if it's raining.

Had the very BEST experience here today. I love that Kredl's now has Mrs. Dunsters baked goods- so delicious and Van Houtte coffee! I went to grab a cup of joe and noticed one of their staple options 'vanilla hazelnut' wasn't brewed. I went to ask a young attentive girl about it and she offered to brew some! She was very sweet and i was so pleased-thank you, Robyn :)
