So happy & satisfied with my order: the posters somehow look cooler in person; love that the mini notebooks vary in covers as well as page styles (blank, lined, graph); the natural hand sanitizer sprays are SO convenient and lightly (but nicely) scented; and I cannot wait to finish & frame the 1000 pc puzzle! On a road trip a few years ago with my mom we visited the beautiful town of Nelson, BC, and there my love for my favourite store, Cartolina, began. A few weeks ago I was lucky and won an amazing gift package from Cartolina. I chose 6 beautifully illustrated Cavallini Papers posters that I just can't wait to get up on the walls around my house (I let my son choose 2 for his room) and also included was a lovely screen printed thick canvas bag, I just love the print! It will be carrying around many of my art supplies for years to come ???? Thank you Cartolina! ???? p.s. if you ever have the chance for a road trip to Nelson, BC....DO IT! Such an amazing town, gorgeous scenery & beautiful shops/restaurants ????????⛰

I’ve never negatively reviewed a business before, but after the way I was treated when in the shop this past weekend, I felt compelled to. I went in with my baby girl in her stroller. The entire time I received nasty looks from one of the staff, who I believe is the owner. She then came up to me to say “wow, that’s an awfully wide stroller.” Instead of being helpful and kind, she was rude and unprofessional. I used to love this store and have purchased many things but I will never shop here again.

It was a really lovely experience shopping at Cartolina! They have an amazing selection and our items were packaged extremely well. Not even a bent corner on any of our posters. It arrived quickly too which was great because we were so excited to get our posters on the wall. Highly recommend this shop!

Being asked today to mask up to protect others. Being double vaccinated I found this bizarre to say the least. Bad experience and will not return. If the staff are not vaccinated, they are wearing a mask, and if the masks do not work for them to protect them, why should I mask up?

I love going into Cartolina. It's my little go-to shop for buying unique gifts in Nelson. There's something for everyone. I bought some fouta towels for my sister-in-law, Lucia candles and body cream for my friend and the cutest pillow for my mom's cabin!! It's fun to wander around in there and check out the posters and the puzzles and gorgeous leather bags. The new owners Jen and Courtney are really lovely, so smiley and positive and energetic. I'll be sending my mom in there with a Christmas wish list for me when she comes to visit Nelson next!

A very beautiful space with quality products. We always make sure to visit this place during our bi-annual trips to Nelson. I love stocking up on their Formula 55 soaps. Our most recent trip we splurged and each got a bottle of cologne. Now I have a fragrance to remind me of my favourite little spot in the entire world. Jody in the shop is always so welcoming and remembers us every time! She has offered to ship out favourite soaps to us even though it is not available on their website... we may just take her up on her offer but it is always a great excuse to come back for more. Our next visit we plan to stay in the Tremont, a loft that is available to vacation in literally above the shop! Cartolina is a great representation of what Nelson is!

Side bonus is that this store has unparalleled maps in the back portion of the shop. They own all the copyrights to print these maps and you'll find nothing like them anywhere else.

Good Morning everyone.My husband and I dropped by this very lovely store this morning at 9:55am.The gentleman was watering plants outside I asked to go in and he promptly told me that they were not open for another 7 minutes! This store has the most eclectic, one of a kind, stuff that cannot be found anywhere else. Yes, other stores may come close with their selection of merchandise, but Cartolinas potpourri of tastefull and affordable I didn't know I needed or even wanted those items, separates them from their competition near and far. I am most surprised that this retail secret has yet to be discovered. (By the millions of other shoppers in North America). I would not be surprised if one would have to get a number to actually enter the store in the distant future.

My friend was resting on a chair inside the front of the store not realizing it was a prop and the owner asked her to get off. Heres an idea, don't put one there. There is a way to be polite about approaching people. Not to mention she was waiting for meame I was shopping. Same person cut me off during a phone conversation about a purchase I made at her store. The poster is beautiful and very affordable. Shipping was good too. However it is very thin, flimsy paper that is very delicate. I also ordered the wall hanging kit and that’s two sticks and a piece of string, definitely not worth $15. Also you have to glue the poster to the wood and since it is so flimsy it would immediately tear if anyone touched it. I had to buy a frame for it. I also ordered a makeup bag and it is amazing. Great quality and SO pretty.

Cartolina is an amazing store! I originally went in to look at the Cavallini vintage posters and maps, but stocked up on puzzles, totes and some bath and body products too. They sell Apothecary bubble bath and candles, which has the most luxurious fragrances like Prosecco! I also love the Lucia candles, diffusers, soaps, lotions, and it’s all so elegantly wrapped. It’s definitely the best place for gifts and souvenirs in Nelson, BC.
