It's a small store on the corner of Albert street and Milton. The good point of this store is that sometimes they have cheap deals on vegetables. But be careful while purchasing cheaper things as there expiry date may be the same day when u purchase it, hence cheaper. So be careful.

Great staff, and low prices - especially on produce. Admittedly, most of their produce is older, or bruised etc. but the price is right! They often put out old/undesirable food out back, for us poor folks to pick through (lol), rather than just throwing it away. I understand why larger businesses don't do this, but I really wished more businesses would.

Covid measures are well watched and the lines move fast, and if you can't quite afford your groceries they'll never let you go without. Best family grocer in town, they deserve your business.

I love the "little store that could" the superette. They always have food that is affordable. I always buy my yogurt and bread there. Usually the yogurt is nearing the expiry date so you can buy a tub for as low as 99. Cents. Cant beat it if you ask me. My family goes through it so fast that it doesn't matter about the exploration date.

It's a nice corner grocery & conviniance store at the corner of Albert & Milton St closer to Nanaimo downtown, with free parking by the building. The sell grocery, vegitables, fruits, condiments, detergents and other day to day required items with competitive price. People in this neighbourhood don't have to drive far to corporate stores as Superstore and Walmart unless looking for perticular items. Worth to encourage local business.

This is Nanaimo's hidden gem of a grocery store. When you live downtown, your options are slim and most grocery stores will take advantage of that and charge huge amounts for vegetables because they can. Superette gives us the option of affordable (sometimes short-dated) vegetables, dairy and meats. I come here for the cheap bread, peppers, tomatoes, yogurt and deli meats as they are always a steal. I wouldn't ever be able to fill all my food groups daily without superette as their prices are half or less of Thrifty's, Country Grocer and Quality Foods. Just look past the state of the building, there's no mood lighting, classic jazz playing or freshly waxed laminate flooring or perfectly stacked waxy apples. There's good food, honest customer service and a store that supports the community in so many ways. I'd highly recommend Superette to anyone who likes to make their grocery dollar stretch a little further.

These guys ROCK, this store is small and a wee bit squeezy, however it is located in old city quarters and is the only store in the area, The staff are pretty cool as well, if you need something and cannot find it, they have no problem pointing you in the right direction, alot of short dated products and otherwise rejected for consumer sale items are left for hungry unfortunate folks to use, which is a blessing for many in this lower income parts of Nanaimo. if there was the option I'd say, 6 out of 5 stars! Thanks for caring, and good work staff!
