Had coffee upstairs. Was nice a quiet and secluded. Some groceries are more expensive, so know your prices. Good selection of products. Fresh produce and meat.

I started shopping here during Covid because it is kept nicer and has less traffic than the nearby grocery store. It's laid out nicely, they clean each cart, aisles are one way, staff follow current protocol. The produce is nice. Their app is fantastic for deals. Great grocery store

Quality foods on Bruce ave. is always clean, welcoming, safe, and well organized! They have friendly staff and you can get a good deal everyday using the daily special scanner. It's our favourite place to shop in the south end of Nanaimo!

One of the nicest grocery store I've been to :) friendly staff and great selection. Their inhouse food is quite good too. I love the sushi bar ! They occasionally have locally grown fruits and vegetables from local farms. Please go support them????

Clean store and produce looked good. We enjoyed the food at the deli for lunch. . We did find the layout in the deli seating not so great for larger families. Tables were also not being cleaned up enough hat we had to clean our own to have a spot to sit. Parking was alright.

Decent grocery store. Was better before Jimmy took over, less local and more generic products now. Prices are competitive with other local stores. Chinese food is very tasty but don't expect authenticity. Great cheese selection and probably the most trustworthy butchers around

I bought yogurt on sale and when I got home and put it in the fridge I saw it had expired a week previously. I took it back later in the day with the receipt and asked for a refund. They didn’t want to do it, and wanted me to exchange the product. I wasn’t going home to a fridge and had to ask again for a refund. 3 employees looked at the yogurt and was in awe that I had just bought it that day. Not one apologized and it seemed irritating that I was wanting my money back. Poor service. Check your dates on sale items!

Butter Chicken Samosa here is off the chain good, but to be honest my wife totally loves this place because it's clean, friendly and SAFE in consideration of COVID. For instance... an ultraviolet chamber to sterilize the shopping carts. Now, I like to just sit in the car and play with my phone while she shops... and they have a really neat parking lot which I'm sure most folks don't care about... but I do, so QF gets 5-stars on my review.

Refreshing and awesome!!! To the best grocery store i have ever seen my life as it used to be like. I have changed Harewood. Thank you Quality Foods and Harewood and others and a dam good cop for giving me a safe place to smarten up and lose everything and still be safe. Only Harewood could do that and even though i am so relieved that my 46th bday will be the first one that i dont have to wonder how soon it will be until I show myself as a goof, i will for the rest of my life no matter where I go in the world, If i may,... honor the world ( if that's the right word for what i am trying to explain ) , and whatever it is that drives the good people at Quality Foods to be some of the nicest, friendliest and sincere people I have honestly ever met. And honor others by respecting myself and doing my best to respect them. And i will now be GREATFUL for a little bit OF FEAR. Just enough to keep me on the straight and narrow because we all have light and dark in us and it's up to us to grow what we want right? So yes i have changed but i hope Quality Foods NEVER Does. Good hot food and prepared meals for decent prices. I wouldn't recommend shopping here for your groceries though as it's one of the pricier grocery chains.

Good selection and kept clean, prices are not always competitive but its the area store, having a bar up top is nice too. They need to hire more cashiers as all hours of the day I find myself waiting in long lines, store may just be under staffed

What happened to this store?!?!! I used to shop here all the time when I lived in harewood and it was great, now it's ridiculous. It's soo overpriced,the selection is terrible and the staff are the rudest, laziest most ignorant people I've encountered in a long time. I would never shop here again

Staff are very unknowlegable about products in their own departments and not very helpful in helping to look for items in question. I have asked on separate visits about products and now I just do not ask as I am embarrassed for the employee.

If you are a small family or less this is a great place. Nice setup, great ready cooked section, and decent space overall. Don't forget pub up top. the covid flow is very counter productive as you are generally forced down every aisle which actually kills easy flow through store. For larger families though and for purchasing meat it is pretty poor. A family pack isn't 3-4 pork chops, when i am doing a ground meat prep I shouldn't need 8-10 packs of meat to get what I need done. Meat pricing is on the high side and beware of specials, the 5 for 25 often seems attractive but the chuck beef is at 17-19 a kg with ground being at approx 15. Sure you are saving a buck or two off of weighted measure but the price per kg tanks those savings.

Well Christmas rushes meant super long lineups especially factoring in social distancing, but the staff really pulled out all the stops to get people checked through, and managed to keep a smile on their faces. Hats off to a great front line bunch of superstars. Beautiful flagship store and great selection, prices in line with competition. A nice place to shop and if your partner gets cranky with how long you take or how much money you spend, just send them upstairs to THE BAR (I know, genius, right?) where they can chill with a bite and a beer while you stock the fridge.

Nice, clean, well laid out grocery store. Very friendly, helpful staff. Decent prices, good sales. Nice, butcher shop style meat department, good deli and bakery with many made in store offerings. The best Chinese food in the Harewood area is here! The little cafe does some great food, their breakfast deal is good. Upstairs pub is nice for a break and some appies!

This store is very organized. The hot food section has a great selection to bail you out if you don't feel like cooking for the family. When getting Chinese food from the hot food. They DO NOT cheap out and you will probably have food for 2 days. When they have long lines they conquer them fast. Prices are island prices.

Pretty much the only place I shop for groceries. Not only is it convenient for me, it is a local-to the island-chain of grocery stores. This particular location is lovely and it features a home decor shop and a pub(with an amazing breakfast deal) upstairs.
