Great place for middle eastern food! The owner is one of the nicest people on earth! Zaatar is one of my favorite things to have there as well as different bulgur types. Freekeh is also great as a healthier rice alternative. It really feels good to go there. Highly recommended.

Oh my lord what an INCREDIBLE PLACE!!!! I have been looking for amazing Lebanese spices and other items for so long and this market is beautiful and has EVERYTHING I NEEDED!! I was so excited to find my chicken shawarma spices, halloumi, saganaki, and ajvar roasted red pepper spread! I I made roasted chicken, saganaki, Greek salad with fresh dressing and roasted zucchini for dinner with all our great finds!! I will so be back! Not to mention the sweet man working gave us all baklava as we shopped.

I love this place so much. I think it's the best selection of Mediterranean and middle Eastern foods in Nanaimo. In particular there are very high quality olive oils. Not to mention the owner is one of the most lovely people I've met. Seriously, everyone should go here.

Have heard about this shop from a few friends and finally had the chance to stop in. Amazing assortment of middle Eastern deliciousness. The owner was very kind and had us sample his hummus and baclawa. We got vegetarian samosas, falafel mix, feta spread ????, baclawa, pita crisps, and halloumi. Can't wait to go back!

This Mediterranean, Turkish, Persian deli and market is a real find. I bought tea, fresh samosas, Moroccan roll, spanakopita, Turkish delight and nougat and wonderful hummus. The proprietor gave us samples to try. Yummy. We will definitely be back.

I've been going to see Matt since he had Blair Market in Gordon head 20+ years ago. When he opened the market on Quadra street, I continued and would bring my parents as well. My dad is Greek and he was always so impressed with Matt and his incredible service. While I haven't been to the new location in Nanaimo and am sad that I haven't been in to see him or his shop in a few years, my dad continues to go to the Nanaimo location and recently found me a keg of olives. I've struggled so much finding good Kalamata olives. The pandemic has halted most imports of quality olives but the ones from here are delicious. Thank you so much for your 20+ years of service on the Island :)

I read about this gem of a place and it's owner, who works so hard every day , by himself, to give us his best. He takes such pleasure and pride in giving us his all. I had to go check it out. What an amazing selection of all kinds of foods, from fresh to frozen. Homemade to pre packaged. It is kind of hidden by this tree the city wont move , BUT seek and yee shall find!! <3

Wonderful! It’s a great new restaurant-bakery-grocery store featuring “Mediterranean” food, baked goods, snacks, and coffee. We were treated warmly upon entering with the owner offering us each a piece of authentic Turkish Delight. I promptly bought more to send out as Christmas gifts. There’s so much here on offer in this tiny space that is very nicely decorated in Middle Eastern decor. I highly recommend this place. We will return often.

Even if you don't cook and use lots of oils, vinegars and spices as well as exotic fruits, etc...the Deli is INCREDIBLE. My husband I ate lunch there yesterday (in the beautiful sunshine) BEST spanakopita, Greek Salad , tzatziki and lamb samosas we have ever tasted!!! Service was awesome, too. My new FAVOURITE SPOT!!!
