This market is amazing right by the river. So many produce and dessert choices. Has cafe inside to hang around. Veg all out side inside are baked goods and pre marinated meat

Alex Handyside

Wonderful place! The cheeses, the meats, the pastries, the visuals, the smells!! It's my version of heaven!

This market is lovely. The bakery is filled with so much goodies. The produce is fresh, clean and the vendors are friendly--bilingual or not--there's a lot to look through when grocery/food shopping!

Very healthy vegetables and nice food especially the bread. Sure the price little bit high then the other magazines in Montreal but here you find Quality. They have huge plant markets during summer.

I’ve been to the Atwater market once in the winter and now once this summer! It’s not a big market but there are lots of different foods to try. The fish market here is fantastic! The smoked salmon is so good. I tried this bubble tea place and I really liked it. The tapioca texture was perfect and they had a lot of fun flavours. I also got an anchovy pizza from Pizza Mia that was good - a little too sauce-y for my liking though.

This market is open year round and visitors can easily find fresh produce, meats, breads, and many other foods and products from Quebec. The food court has an eclectic mix of vendors serving dishes from seafood to bbq to Asian and then some. Not as big as Jean Talon but definitely worth visiting.

Wonderful place to buy things for a charcuterie board. Lots of cute shops with flowers and fresh vegetables.

Yet another gem in Montreal's Saint Henri neighborhood, steps from Lionel-Groulx subway stop and right on Lachine Canal, this all year farmers market on different end of the city is bountiful of fresh food, produce, meats, cheeses, pastries, pastas and all you need for a great meal. Loved it, also loved the benches right behind at the canal to savour some of the great food available outside the market at one of the foodtruck booths.

Marche Atwater is a pretty decent market to buy fresh produce, breads, cheese & meat. The prices are great and the vendors accept card payments on minimum spend. …

A great place to do some local grocery

Tu Vuong

Perfect pitstop to pick up bites and beverages for a picnic ride along the Lachine canal! So much variety, definitely stop in!

Ahmad Ayyub

Interesting food market with a variety of foods: produce, cheeses, meats, fish, jams. This place gets pretty crowded during peak times. There is free parking just outside the building.

Giorgio Russo

Lovely little market with a nice bakery, butcher shops and etcs. Good quality and very clean, warm and cozy. Not to be missed.

I had a great time at this location! Good variety of markets, and a very cold indoor area that was nice for a warm day to check out other vendors. Unlike Jean Talon, this market had more options for cooked meals which was appreciated. There was a vendor doing Pad Thai that turned out excellent. I wish I could remember the name of the place because the server and the quality of the food was wonderful. It's at an area at the end of the market that's outdoors and has a tented area for people to eat meals. The lady who waited on us was very pleasant and the cooks immediately greeted us when we came up to order which was nice.

I personally like Jean talon better but the location here is nicer. I love the food option here too. There are more selections for produce and meats at Jean talon though.

When I was there earlier this week it wasn't very crowded, and there was a lot of selection. Unfortunately prices were quite high on fruits and also berries especially, but there were some good deals on green veggies and herbs (both cut and actual plants). If there's something specific you can't seem to find that you're looking for, just ask some of the vendors because they can usually point you in the right direction because most of them know each other and who has what :) Overall it was a nice experience.

I love this place! Amazing choices. Very friendly vibe. The large store at the entrance selling all spices, syrups, bitters, vinegars, …

Cassia Attard

Awesome market, especially if you live in the area, for fruit and meat shopping. In the fall, make SURE to get a tub of berries cause they are soooo gas. La Fromagerie is a great spot for small food items. The bakery within the market is good, but Mamie Clafoutie down the street is better :)

Shanny Foo

An open air market with plenty of fresh local selections of produce, sweets, and baked goods. There is also an interior market with specialty items like cheese and fish. There was a huge seating area outdoors and protected by tent with restaurant vendors. It's fall and so of course there were pumpkins, endless pumpkins!

Chris Cussen

Great place to find farm fresh fruits and vegetables as well as ethnic food both fresh and preserved

Jasmin G.

It's always packed in here. No one counts the amount of people. But damn is the food good. They have meats and cheeses and cakes and candies that are delectable! Usually everyone is nice even if they had a stressful day repeating themselves about berries and chocolate. The location of the market is nice too because it's right next to a grocery and the saq. So if you bought a fancy bread but can't afford the fancy jam you can go there. Close to a metro as well.

Caroline Giroud

Great market where locals are shopping for fruits and veggies but also meet cheese and all sorts of French products

Hannah Moriarty

There is always a hidden treasure at Atwater's Go to the cheese shop if you want to fall in love with dairy and begin an affair with the different cheeses of the world. Stroll through the market and feel like you are in the opening sequence of a move where no matter what is going on in your life you can blissfully glide through life. Pick up some flowers for yourself because you deserve them then go to the bakery to get a fresh bread for the fancy AF dinner you are going to make yourself. get in the holiday spirit by feeling like you are in a Hallmark Christmas special. Treat yo self. It's a special place and you are a special person.

????My first time visiting Marche Atwater, it’s clean and tidy! Love the small restaurant outside the market. Good vibes and have lots of seating outside. Highly recommend if you are looking for fresh vegetables, great steak, good pasta and garden flowers! ????????????

It’s a lovely market and I really recommend visit during summer because it will be much more vivid. Besides I strongly recommend the yogurt in a cheese store. So much flavor and yogurt itself is iconic!

We had a great experience here. vendors were very willing to let us sample and sell us small portions so we could leave with a little of everything. HIGHLY RECOMENDED

As touristy as it is over-priced. But it's a very cool spot to stroll, window-shop, and people-watch. Be prepared for large crowds with not a lot of space to maneuver, especially on weekends when locals join the parade. For $20, you can certainly grab a great coffee and something to snack on for two. Lots of tasty, tempting foods and fresh produce. It's a must if you've never been.

Taelyr Keeley

Huge market offering many different selections of food, flowers and coffee. My favourite place to go anytime of the year

Dina Kadaoui

Year round open farmer's market offering fresh produce, breads and other local specialties. Indoor shops include those offering gourmet local Quebecois foods, such as wine, vinegars and oils, honey and other delicacies. Several options for a meal as well. Easy to park on local streets during visit.

Arsho Melidonian

Very nice and different vendors selling veggies, fruits, cheese, meat, etc. It’s worth buying croissants from Première moisson and eat them at the canal.

Reachill Franche

This place is awesome as well as a classic. Great food, and such a lovely place. They have awesome meats, seasoned very well, great seafood, great chocolate, and superb baked goods. Prices aren't that expensive. One of the best markets out there.

Very nice place just to sit, you can walk, or bike, great for a picnic, ice cream, or grab something new to try. Last visit we discovered two young singer with their guitar, and a speaker, they were having fun, played many nice songs, it was very pleasant.

Shaun

Great place to shop groceries, fresh vegetables, coffee and pastry products, condiments, plants, cheese, shop fresh seafood . It is a complete market. Expect the prices to be a wee bit premium ( at least personal opinion), the quality is also great! There is a nice eatery area with tasty food products, ice cream, sandwiches. There is a huge parking lot in front of super C, read the regulatory sign!!! be advised of 90 min free allowance. They are pretty strict there now, and there's a watchman who takes pictures of car and measures time!! Be back in time guys to avoid a ticket( not kidding ). Have a good time! ????

Rory Rosszell

Charming place to shop for fresh local produce, cheese, meat, bread, pastries, and many other delicacies. Highly recommended.

Greg Tarr

Serious market with multiple delicious things

Emma S

Beautiful people. Every merchant was very friendly, ready to show you their best products , it felt good to see good fruits & vegetables growing here in Quebec. Beautiful flowers ???? & they have Wi-Fi great bonus

Iman S

Great selection of produce, local goods, and food stalls. It can get quite crowded if you go on a weekend, so I’d recommend wearing a mask when you’re outdoors as a precaution.

Samar Mandourah

Lovely local farmers market with a wide variety of things!
