On the plus side, Lipa is a superb place for all things Kosher, including great frozen pizza slices from Brooklyn and frozen kishka too! Downside - the staff and management have totally given up on making their clients wear masks. I know - it’s very hard in this neighborhood - but you lose business from people like me who aren’t going into a virus den.

There's a major campaign to review Lipa's with 5 stars, so here I am. In reality, we shop there just occasionally because the store is always packed with customers and it's not easy going through to shop. But I like how the employees and managers treat the customers and that the new owner's cell number is on every receipt. He's always available to listen to his customers. I hope they expand the store and I also hope that they could match their prices to the Fooderie. Their fruit department beats any other in the city, but only if you shop after 2-3 o'clock in the afternoon. Then it's fresh. Overall, the shopping experience grants them a well deserved 5 stars.

We love shopping at Sruly's. (Formerly Lipa's). The store is quite small with narrow aisles, but the atmosphere is pleasant and the service just plain ROCKS! Delivery is extremely fast if you live in Outremont/Plateau, and almost non existant for the further west communities. Prices are fair, but a bit higher than their largest competition just a few streets to the north. Keep up the service and we'll stay loyal Sruly's shoppers.

I had to get a few groceries on New Year's Eve and was happy to find this place was open and had what I needed. However, when I got to the till I found the young male cashier seemed annoyed and impatient to serve me. It was clear he wanted to be elsewhere as he was on his phone looking at youtube videos while scanning my items. Needless to say I wasn't impressed. To add, I was just now (new year's day) able to speak to the manager on the phone, and he took my concerns seriously. Thank you.

This is a very well supplied Kosher supermarket, so that's the benefit. But when I went shopping for passover last week, I was extremely alarmed by the large number of people in the store not wearing masks. Some just with masks under their chins or with their noses exposed, but others with no mask even in sight! Even some of the staff were not wearing masks properly. This is dangerous and extremely irresponsible, and the managers of the store need to take this seriously and enforce the rules.
