First and foremost, I would like to say that their choices of food is great, especially vegan and gluten free foods in comparison to other grocery stores in the area. That being said, I feel uncomfortable going there at times, especially when I see this older lady working the cash. I am an extremely friendly person and I always greet the person serving me. Every time I see her, I say 'hello' with a smile and she never says anything other than the bill's total. I've watched her before with other people, and she seems quite friendly with them, expect me. Now, I've never really seen a coloured person go there before, but by the looks of it, she doesn't really seems to like me and i can't help but feel it's because I am a black person. I wouldn't recommend this place to a fellow coloured person living in the area just to avoid feeling uncomfortable. Especially when you're giving a business your hard earned money. I hate to bring up the racist card but I can't help but feel that way when she's there. Something needs to change. It's 2017.
