Avoid. Construction on all roads around it. The garage parking is an absolute nightmare! They say it's free for 1 hour if you buy $50 or more. I bought for 100 and stayed 30 mins. The ticket didntvwork and I had to argue with the parking guy for 10 mins while the line behind me grew long. Nivmce new store but nothing special on the shelves. Unhappy looking staff that could not be bothered to help clients. Go to the Metro close by on Notre Dame instead. I truly hated my experience and will never go back!!!

Here's my updated review after my experience. 1st trip, our entire chicken purchase was expired. 2nd trip went there for a refund and got some veggies instead. Good. 3rd trip, went back, we bought some sea food. Freezed it for later use, then when time comes to usage, its expired. How can this even be possible? This place needs an investigation on their entire meat sections. They play with their best before stickers.

Good location, but high prices, expired food, and lack of selection. I know Adonis is known for its good selection of fresh produce and good prices, but this location must be the exception. I often find that produce is more expensive than IGA/Metro, and the quality is lacking. I've purchased cheese which was expired, very poor quality control. Inventory can be lacking, and I find the selection for dry goods isn't great. At least it is clean, otherwise, I'd never shop there.

Edit August 2017 - This are less interesting, primarily because of service issues... lack of smile, etc. Moved it down to a 3 stars... Adonis, we have more and more options in Old Montreal, don't take us for granted! Considering we didn't have any other "good" options around here this is a welcomed arrival. I have to admit the produce section isn't great, but I think people exaggerated the low-level of quality found. Pick what you think is worthy and find the rest at Marche Atwater anyways ; ) So in general, prices are ok. But again, we have more choices now in the sector...

Disappointed! I have checked this new store few times on the weekends. I found packaged marinated chicken that was expired. Also WATCH OUT indoor parking. I have parked indoors and spent $47.99 at Adonis. I have spent close to an hour there. There is manual ticket checking being done at the parking door. The man told me that I owe $8 since I have not spent $50 at Adonis. I need to add that I had spent almost $60 on the other store, Winners. Apparently the parking promotion is ONLY for Adonis customers. When I started to argue, he said it is a private parking and even escalating it to Adonis manager does not help. Checking my ticket again in the machine, the amount increased to $12!!!! Since it passed the one hour limit and I could not even escalate while getting stuck at the parking door. I paid the $12 and left. I felt disrespected and annoyed. Will never be back.

Today I finished work late but ensured I left to make it to Adonis for 9.45pm. I made it just about in time, but wait a second The DOORS ARE CLOSED 15 MINUTES EARLY. WHY ARE THE DOORS CLOSED 15 MINUTES EARLY. The excuse I was given was the same as the lady above me , they need to close the cashiers. IF YOU ARE TRYING TO CUT COSTS MR MANAGER YU DONT JUST CLOSE THE DOORS EARLY, YOU CUT YOUR HOURLY MEMBER OF STAFF AND USE YOUR SALARY TO YOUR ADVANTAGE. THATS HOW RETAIL MANAGEMENT WORKS. I will avoid Adonis as much as possible from now on, all I wanted was to grab some ice cream and a pizza and the staff don;t have the decency to let me in 15 minutes before they close. I have also made a google edit for the opening times to change to 9.45pm. As that is what they are currently operating.

I am a regular shopper at Adonis, qnd love their products. Good pricing, great variety and good service. But the reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because today, we bought two char-grilled whole chickens, which were delicious. With these chickens, you get complimentary garlic sauce and pita. It's a good thing I had purchased more garlic sauce separately, because the ones provided with the chicken are of a much much lower quality. It was quite obvious that the complimentary sauce was mixed in with mayo or some other substance, as the difference in taste between the two was significant. Either do not give low quality complimentary garlic sauce, or make it good quality like the rest of the sauces you sell. What a shame.

Really unhappy about my recent trip here. This place used to be the best. I’d always find premium quality fruits, veggies and meats, but not lately. Why has the quality turned to garbage here?? I went yesterday and bought some wings and when I went to make them tonight for dinner they stank! I didn’t notice when I purchased them because of the container, but they’re so gross! This isn’t acceptable. If I weren’t a chef, then I wouldn’t know that you can’t use these wings, because of the risk of salmonella. It doesn’t need an genius to fill up a container of cold olive and weigh it and put the ticket on. It’s just wasting time of waiting and frustration. Needs someone to organize the line for the check out. Needs self check out system as well and plz focus more on the staff behaviour with the customers. Griffintown: where grocery shopping is done in performative uniforms of athleisure. 4 stars as Adonis provides a sorely needed service with a wide variety of products at this location. However, it does have a few key fallings. Although prices are decent for the neighbourhood, the quality of produce is frankly appalling at times. I also find that meat products can be understocked, and quality inconsistent. Finally, the weekly deals are somewhat disappointing. My go-to for groceries. IGA, métro, Provigo are far too expensive, especially for produce. This Adonis also changed their layout recently which improved my shopping experience! Lanes are clear and well organized. They also have great specials! Their produce is always fresh too. They’ve also increased their variety of products! There are so many goodies from all over the world that are now available there. The store is also really clean! For those who have a car, there’s an indoor parking that’s free when you purchase over 50$.

Great food and meat counter. I would not recommend buying their produce or other shelves items. They frequently forget to check their expiration dates, and quality of produce. I have come home with bundles of asparagus that look fresh but when opened are rotten in the middle. Normally one would say okay, its my fault that I didn't check properly. But this has happened several times with several products and coincidentally only at this location. Sometimes people are in a rush and grab things they expect to be fresh only to return home and find it rotten/expired. This is very frustrating. I have since stopped shopping here, and instead go to the metro a few blocks away. It is such a shame because I love the Adonis on St Catherine St, and expected the same quality here. I phoned the manager and he only blamed other companies for this negligence. I would not recommend shopping here.

Watch out for mystery items on your bill before you leave. This has been the 3rd time that I was charged for something I did not put on the conveyor belt. Today’s was a double charge for coffee capsules. They bank on customers not noticing the extra charge or be unwilling to come back and dispute the mystery charge. I would recommend going to the metro on notre dame but they are the same company, but at least at the metro, you can do self-checkout and not be cheated if you are not paying attention.

This was due to be posted a long while back but i find that the review would help others. I went to adonis on 04 dec at 19:30, my wife and i wanted to buy individual pastries. We selected the cake we wanted but we asked the cashier to tell us what was the expiry date of product. Since the date displayed at the front was 1st of December. the cashier looked at the date and ran back to her manager. While holding the cake she was going to sell me. The manager started stating the cake was ok to eat for 3 days but i told her that i still wanted to see the date. The manager was pretending as though she was def (an insult to def people) and indicating as tho she didnt speak English. My wife intrupted by speaking to her in french. The manager told my wife that she does not have to tell her anything ( highly rude individual). To my knowledge, the cake that she was going to sell me was expired but even when the manager saw that it was expired, she was still going to take a chance and sell me the cake. Let me remind you. You have an obligation to all your customer to sell them food that is in date. The customers have the right check the expiry date of any product they wish to buy and it must be provided. Please instruck all your staff especially at the bakery section, about current laws and educate them to a great degree about ethical behaviour. I am utterly discusted and sickened. They are lucky i was not a health and safety officer otherwise I would have shut the place down.

Convenient grocery store that carries most items you are looking for. Meat counter is the best part. Prices on fruits, vegetables, dairy, meat, fish are great! Prices on soda, chips and frozen foods kind of expensive. A great addition to this burgeoning area as there are currently very few options to adequately support the growing population. Parking is a pain, but Adonis is offering 1 hour of free parking with a $50 purchase. As usual, their produce shines, but I am less enamored with their meat, some of which is commercial grade. They have an on-site Bakery, and offer their usual selection of imported goods, some of which are 2nd tier. Their organic section is quite good, as is their variety of dairy and cheese products. They are already a success, and quite busy.

i was able to find most of the things i needed. the vegetables weren't so fresh when i went. Even though it's a small adonis but there's still a good variety of baked goods, fruits, meats and more there! what i don't like is the parking they have you need to spend 50$ to park there.

I like the chain but this particular store is really messy at night (I was there around 9pm) - dirty floor, leaky fridge (water all around it), cashiers were checking something on their phone so I had to wait till they were done to pay. Let's hope it was just a bad day for the store and myself ????

Adonis is a large grocery store that has a bit of a Marche feel to it. Large selection of ready made foods, good grilled chicken, fresh vegies and a large selection of produce and meat. It's fabulous that this grocery chain is open in this location as it serves an area known as Griffintown, which doesn't have many options as far as supermarkets go. This store is located on Peel which is close to the bus which can take you into the downtown core.

Adonis has almost all the groceries you need for cooking. Their range of food items and grocery selection is impressive, and they even have some some ready-to-eat food and grills. Look out for discount deals too. The checkout process was smooth as well. One thing they could improve though is to make clean shopping baskets available always. However, I had a really good shopping experience overall.

It's been months that we've been waiting for this grocery store in this area. However, since the opening its just been disappointment. The produce is NOT fresh at all. Each time I've been since the opening, I've had to throw food our 1-3 days later since it had rotten. This is not normal. The food they have in store is not fresher, often I've had to leave empty handed because what I came to buy was rotten... The pre made salads are always expired and the breads are 1-2 days way from expiring. You absolutely have to check the date, forgetting to do so will guarantee you picking up something expired. Very disappointing. To add to this, most of the staff does not speak French which can be irritating and most of them look like they have NO work experience and this cannot answer your questions if need be. We petitioned to have Adonis instead of Metro and I now find myself disappointed as we'd know we'd be getting QUALITY groceries if metro was there. More expensive yes but at least we wouldn't be throwing our food away.

Very often I get over charged for things I buy. For instance today I bought 2 sweet melons at 2.99 each so 2 melons would be 5.98 but I was charged $18. Similar thing happened last week and then a couple of weeks before and so on. I am tired of going back to the store standing in the line again to get my money back. I am so disappointed! We waited months for this store to open and it's nothing like the other stores in Montreal. The produce is AWFUL! I have now been shopping here twice and both times much of what I brought home is not fresh. The blueberries had white mold after one day!! The clementines were not edible! The organic/biologique section in this store for produce had products out of date. HELLO MANAGER...WAKE UP. You are going to lose the very customers you opened your store to attract. We don't want a store that sells what you can't sell in your other stores. The produce at Costco is better than yours. This should not be. Get wild fish...not all the farmed stuff. It's OK to have both for those who don't care, but for those of us who care about what we eat and drink, if you don't stock your store accordingly you will not attract your neighbours as customers. You have all of the Old Port, Griffintown and some other neighbouring areas who want you to succeed, but it's not going to happen unless you wake up to what people want.

Do not buy your meat from Adonis! I’m a regular at Adonis Peel. I’ve been noticing that their meat isn’t fresh. Last time I got lamb chops they smelled bad and tasted worst! On 14Jan2022, I got chicken wings and the smell was so repulsive that I don't even understand how the butcher had the courage to packed them for me! No more meat for me from Adonis. Metro Plus is just a few blocks away - excellent meat.
