Do you ever get that slightly disappointed feeling after shelling out 30 ish dollars for delivery pizza? Here's a great alternative, for less money than one pizza, tonight we bought 2 bottles of the Dolma Cuisine Mexican chicken soup and a freshly baked baguette. From the wonderful fresh smell upon popping the lid, my wife, a Holland College culinary arts graduate, says this soup smells home made, from the heart with care. Both bottles went into the dutch oven, one fifth bottle of water was added and a handful of barley. The baguette spent 15 minutes in the oven at 350 farenheit and came out crusty and perfect for soaking up the rich and luxurious broth loaded with chicken. This and one additional grocery item cost us $28.25 taxes in. Most people drive by Dolma a few times a week. Why not drop in? Buy a couple of bottles for your fridge and treat yourself to a super easy, healthy delicious supper. It was amazing!

Nice place, food is good. Prices are marked up way to high. Service was extremely slow, took 45min to get drinks served and an additional 30min to take orders. Had to leave before food could be served. Waiter wearing face mask improperly (COVID). I will never go there again unless i have an entire evening to spare.

We recently moved from Toronto to stay in Moncton for a year and was excited to discover Dolma for organic food. However I feel the food doesn't circulate fast enough here because our turkey ham we bought today was old and crusty--- I checked the label and it said the food was prepared in early November 2021, and expired as of Dec 04 2021. I bought this today January 03rd 2022. I was ready to make sandwich for our family for tomorrow with this ham and was utterly disappointed that the shop didn't check their expiry date for an entire month...

Lovely local grocery store almost everything is from local farmers and people. Delicious homemade salads I tried the beet and dried blueberries one. Plus they have some homemade meals ready to go as well as a variety of sandwiches. Check it out...no big crowds here fighting over toilet paper!

Owner has a policy about not putting prices on vegetables and fruit and other items. Seems to hope to make more money by embarrassing his customers at the checkout by needing to ask the price and feeling like a cheapskate for saying no to a bunch of stuff he seems to consider expensive. Puts prices on stuff he seems to consider cheap. I go to a grocery store to buy food, I dont mind paying. Put prices on stuff. Thats the job! what kind of places avoids putting prices on their items??? So strange.

What a wonderful place for shopping in the neighborhood. All the special features for cooking in the condiments, along with fresh cuts of prime beef and fish too pick form. Then there's the upstairs where the rooftop restaurant is located, still have to try the menu their.

Dolma for me is OK with some GOOD added in. I praise them for what they want to do by bringing in fresh local goods, organic packaged goods, etc. but when I first visited this place, I found it to be pricey, and I still do. I swing in and check it out when I'm in the neighbourhood, but pass on big spends there. Keep up the good work, but remember that even the people out there that don't earn a fabulous pay check want to eat healthy too. Find a way to make some of your products more affordable, and it will bring in more people to enjoy your shop and offerings.

My fiancee and I wanted to do something unique for our wedding cake, and decided to use stacked wheels of cheese as our "cake". We walked in to Dolma, spoke to staff, and within minutes they had a plan for an amazing cake. We picked up the cake a few days later and it exceeded all expectations. The staff were incredibly helpful and the final price was much lower than we expected! Highly recommended for any specialty food needs!

An increasingly pretentious market where the mark up is 50 % or more on the very same item found at grocery stores down the street. Many items have prices unmarked. With some items - ie. jams, imports are stocked over better quality and healthier made in Canada alternatives. The quality is there on many items, but many more items are simply grossly over priced. I usually go there for their excellent quality dates, both eating and baking. They were out of both. How are you out of dates, a regularly stocked item, just before Christmas ?

Dolma Food has a great new building with fabulous restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful. Service was excellent. I had sushi for the first time here recently and it was great! Nice atmosphere and add to that a roof top restaurant in the summer! Great spot!

Small grocery with good ethnic and vegetarian-type selection, including meats, oils, teas, vegetables, cheeses, and lots of pre-made meals. More expansive than ubiquitous grocery stores, but given the variety of products, worth it. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Visited in early 2021 during covid, but in-store shopping was permitted with signs about keeping distance from other customers.

Best merguez in town! It's my 'go to' grocery store. Location is very convenient by walking or by car. Price are surprisingly good on local product.

We entered in the restaurant door after parking only to be accosted by a gentleman with a clipboard telling us we had to park our motorcycle on the street, not where we had parked in the market parking only spots...we planned on visiting the market as well....the sign does say market parking only but we assumed it was the same.....it is one building...he followed us outside showing us where to park....just got a bad feeling right in the door....never met a bouncer at a food market/restaurant before....will not be back

This is a groovy restaurant with quite an ambiance and the best patio dining in the city. The rooftop floor offers perfect shade and protection from the rain, while letting in all the breeze, the perfect place to enjoy a charcuterie or cheese plate made with the best locally produced ingredients. Like what you ate? Check with the grocery downstairs for some of those yummy things.

The store carries local products found also at the Dieppe market, so, convenient on weekdays if you prefer local produce. The specialty items like European preserves, mustards, jams, cheeses, coffee beans, are excellent. Service is good; if you need someone to help you, the wait is usually not more than a minute. A great stop on your weekly shop.

Waitress wasn't very good, got wrong orders and wrong bills. Never came refill the water. Cheese are good. Pulled pork sandwich is good. Chicken wing itself is good quality. Very interesting taste to have in a Canadian restaurant. However it's missing some spice. It's little in between taste. But glad the chef is trying something untraditional to here.

Lovely little shop they built after the old one burnt down. Dolma food has a bit of produce and a few rarely found items at your normal grocery store. I went there for items to make maki and found everything i needed.

Lovely shop! Here you can buy both local and European products of excellent quality. I buy apples, poultry and nuts often due to good quality/price ratio. I like to buy fresh bread from the bakery shop. Here are delicious desserts and cakes. There are gluten-free products. Consultants are always friendly and help in choosing products.

I will say upfront and honestly, I copied and pasted my review from the rooftop restaurant before. It was reported by the Owner for spamming. Did not realize posting the same review for the same place was wrong. I tried both the restaurant and store separately. The store has bland vegan options (Alfredo sauce). Has week old desserts, and Bacon. Wife says the bacon was okay. Otherwise, this little store is not what it appears to be. Over priced and no where near as good as it thinks it is. If you want some amazing deserts, go to Tony's bistro (Cheese cake is a mousse not the best, but the rest are great) And for the owner. My post for your roof top remains the same. Low quality food!

Went for a lunch with some friends. The food was okay but pricey. The seafood chowder was $12 and a glass of wine $13. This was a few years ago. I can get the same size glass of wine at another restaurant for $2.99. I have never been back to eat here.

Pork loin sold to them for less than 4$/lb and they sell it for 9$/lb - a bit of an extreme mark up...especially when you buy a whole loin. I love supporting local and will still support this shop, (though not by buying pork) but for me, it's cheaper to drive to Sussex and buy direct. ????‍♀️

I had a great time. I requested to get half of 2 different orders. 1 cheese plate and 1 meat plate. They happily obliged to my request and did a special plate just for me. Wonderful cheeses.. the rhubarb compote and red pepper jelly and things i had never tasted before were awesome. I was very impressed by the presentation of the plate too. Even had my favorite my red wine and it paired very well with the food. I will definitely go again.

Went to their restaurant for the first time last night and it was a wonderful experience. Their staff were very attentive, the food was perfect and the live music set a very comfortable atmosphere. I will definitely be going back there again!

We went to the the restaurant on the top deck for lunch and the food was great and the waitress was so kind but then we went back for dinner the following night because we wanted to try the dinner menu. We had a bbq platter which was ok, you didnt get very much so someone that eats a good size plate would still be hungry, the beans were tasty but so hard. The service was actually pretty sad. It was busy compared to when we went for lunch but it was so slow and the waitress never came back to ask us for drinks or how everything was. We had to flag someone down to get the bill. They also had entertainment that evening, very good guitar player but it was so loud so you had to yell to hear each other. Not sure if its always like that at dinner but I was disappointed because we had such a good experience at lunch.

I used to buy all my foods here but something happened this week and I can't shop there anymore. The owner is treating his employees like cattle and verbally abusing them. I found it was bizarre seeing some new employees week after week but they must all be quitting within the same month they've been hired. I went there for some pistachio ice cream and on my way to the counter, he starts yelling at some of his employees for being too close to one another in a very disrespectful manner. other clients had told me about this power-trip behavior but I had never seen it before. the cashier was holding back her tears in the fear of his presence. not a great work environment at all, its too bad, the Dolma foods concept was a great one. I used to be a regular customer but I can’t go there and support this kind of behavior by buying his products. I will no longer be buying foods here

We were a party of 8 on the rooftop for dinner. Our server was very attentive, and professional. Our dishes came in an orderly manner...appetizers before the main meal, and all the mains arrived together for a smooth dinner. Through the night, we were well attended to making for a wonderful night. The dishes were all well prepared, everyone liked what was ordered, and dealing with each bill went off smoothly, leaving us to simply enjoy our company and the patio. Well done, will be back soon.

Went to the rooftop patio this evening and they were extremely understaffed, service was beyond slow. As a server of 15+ years I understand there are scenarios where this can happen, however tonight the owner was seated having dinner as his restaurant failed, as his servers could not keep up and we waited over an hour to get our bill. He did get up momentarily ... to grab another bottle of wine and dinner from the kitchen for his table. It was not a pleasant evening to watch everyone around us also with empty plates and glasses trying to get their servers attention as he left them without any help, I honestly think he had no idea of the situation! Also wont be returning to the market downstairs (despite enjoying their selection of goods) because the owner clearly doesn't care. Just awful!
