There's a lot of everything here, and everything is great quality, wide selection of European products, produce here is fresh and very well organized. The only thing we don't buy here is bread as we shop there at night and it never feels fresh, aside from that it is perfect It's super easy to find what you are looking for Very small wait lines.

Nice, big, clean store with a great selection of store-prepared products. The dessert section is eye candy to look at. Great choices for products like cheeses and olives. Huge variety of fresh breads to choose from. Really enjoyed the selection at this store.

I have nothing but good things to say about Highland Farms. Clean, neatly organized and their selection is incredible. I absolutely love their bakery and guess what? They got my favourite bagels from gryfe's in Toronto or at least thats what I am told and they taste gryfe's as well.

Another YGWYPF place, and in this case it's QUALITY. Fresh backed goods are put out every morning at 7:30a, FYI...! Their various counters (bakery, meat, deli, cheese...) Have a wide selection and the workers are quick and organized. The store has a larger focus on European foods but that's not the only thing they have. If you have the time, check out their ice cream section and ask for a sample! Also: they sell (some) beer and alcohol, in a designated section.

Passes through Mississauga and stopped to do some grocery shopping at Highland farms on Hurontario. Compared with big grocery stores in Toronto area I found it to be cheaper and products fresher in almost all the items. Also need to mention that products are well displayed, organized and prices are up to date. The only complain I would have to mention is in the poultry section. They don't seem to be very organized and keep count of the ticketing system. I attached 2 pics with the fruits bought from Highland farm ( apples, bananas, oranges, grapefruit and mango )

Large selection of product and tons of different produce. Lots of gluten free and vegan options as well. This was my first time ever at a Highland Farms and I asked for help from 3 different employees, all of whom were very rude. Not a nice first time experience from a customer service standpoint

This grocery store is a bit more expensive than other grocery stores but their products are of great quality. It has excellent selections of international products mostly that immigrants would love. It sells alcohol, flowers and fruits. Laura Secord has a branch here. It has also a small cafe with reasonably priced items. This place is always clean, not so busy and organized. Staff members are friendly and knowledgeable. The meat section carries fresh items including halal. Big parking space. I love this place!

Best place for fresh meat and produce. The fresh meat section is so clean and the staff is very helpful. The butchers on call are very nice and try to comply with your requirement.

This grocery store is quite large and offers a lot. They have massive bakery and deli counters. They offer lots of variety of fruits and vegetables. They have beer and wine, lottery and a flower shop. The store is usually very clean. Don't shop here often as it isn't very close to me, but perfect for grabbing birthday cakes and quick shopping when I'm in the area. Prices aren't super low, but you get good variety and quality compared to the budget grocers.

Their bakery area gets a one due to a serious health issue. There is virtually no explanation on what is inside the items they sell. When I asked I was told that anyone with allergies should not buy anything?! A lady from the bakery came to supposedly tell me the ingredients but she clearly had no idea and I ended up buying a pastry which was labelled cheese OR spinach but the spinach one still had cheese ???? unacceptable. This place needs better labelling!

I would post no stars if I could. RUDE lady working at the deli talks to customers like something stuck to her shoe. Couldnt see her nametag. More laziness & bad customer service regarding a bin of soy milk with no price. Friday it was $3.50 but today its whatever they feel like. Dairy Manager tells me that sometimes it's just a 3 day sale but could offer no other excuse. This is how you're treated if you walk in stinking of money. I will go to Luongo's from now on.

Huge assortment and always friendly service. The produce assortment is on another level. During season they carry hard to find items like Hawaiian papaya, Greek figs etc. One of the few grocery stores that carry large size La Rocca cakes and they accept American express!

Truly amazing. Great variety and very spacious so it's a nice environment for shopping (no bumping into carts). Yes it's a bit on the pricey side, but you are paying for quality. Foods just seem to last longer and taste fresher.

The deli counter and dessert counters are probably my favourite features of this grocer. Clean store, well organized aisles, and friendly staff. I like the fact that they put up register screens to protect staff and customers, and also masks are currently mandatory to shop in-store while respecting social distancing.

This store has local produce and a few organic options.. the reason I love Highland farms, is because when I can't find something at walmart or whole foods, I can always find it here! This is the only store I have found in Ontario that carries my favorite hot sauce as well!! Nowhere else carries it, and I used to have to buy it in the u.s. and bring it back with me.

I order my almond milk from one of the dairy department employees by the name of Haddi and he is always on top of my orders, keeping them aside for me till I come in, he is exceptional and makes my shopping experience that much more convenient. One of my beloved grocery store in town with specialty selection of products especially for meat (Beef sirloin steak are nice), Italian cuisine and pastry ingredients. They sell a lot more choices for Haggen Daz ice-cream, too.

The best place to get groceries in mississauga! The place is clean, well arranged and never rowdy. The staff is friendly and ample space for parking. It’s like a mesh of whole foods & loblaws. This review is for the Mississauga Location. A few months ago my husband was highly discriminated. He was told by the Management that he couldn't enter the store without a mask. He was wearing a Shield only as he has a Medical exemption for his severe Asthma. This is Discrimination for anyone with disabilities. It is shameful that Highland Farms in Mississauga would stoop so low. Shame on you Owners/Management! Don't worry my family and I will never step foot into your store again! All my relatives and friends know about it too! The word goes around fast when you discriminate against people with disabilities!

A nice, clean store with high quality items. Lots of European products that I have difficulty sourcing elsewhere. Great Italian, Spanish, Greek, and Portuguese products :) Prices are a bit higher than elsewhere but comparable to Metro (which I also find expensive when compared to Loblaws or Sobeys). Produce and meat are exceptionally fresh. Superb and massive produce section.

I have been shopping here for 10 years. The store is huge and very clean! Deli counter, butcher counter and fresh seafood. Excellent variety on all other items. Staff is friendly. Vary rarely any line ups as they usually have plenty of cashiers on duty. Prices are comparable with any other grocery stores.

Massive store. It typically reminds me with Carrefour supermarket in-terms of size and organization. This supermarket has everything you want with a huge variety of item selection in each section. Prices are within average compared to the big stores. The sections that I always see have the highest traffic is the pastries and ready made meals. I believe pictures speak louder than words.

Very clean shop with a great variety of multiethnic food. Some of the products cost more than other shops but you have the convenience of having everything under one roof. The cheese section is particularly of notable mention as they offer a wide variety of European cheeses.

Fresh produces and cheeses. A huge olive bar and sustainably caught fresh fish. Lots of Mediterranean grocery items and the bakery section is well stocked with muffins, scones, savoury cheese twisters and potato puffs. There are also pastries that are made in store (try the strawberry shortcake!) and a sizeable La Rocca cake selection (try them too). Ample parking and lots of cashiers to help with check out particularly at busy times.

Amazing bakery section, the only place where I get my cakes from. Fresh fruits and vegetables, they are always so fresh, had never had a bad experience there. What a fantastic selection of items at very reasonable prices. I go here because it's very close to where I live so it's very convenient. Although the staff were all adhering to the Covid-19 protocols, I didn't find them to be very helpful especially one of the people behind the meat counter. I found her to be especially curt bordering on abrasive. I'm unsure if this was an off day as it is not the customer service experience I am accustomed to from Highland Farms.

Absolutely love the grocery shopping experience here! We have been visiting this place for last 15 yrs. Aisles are very spacious and clean. Lots of variety in everything...meats, cheese, fruits, oils, breads and desserts! Parking lot is so huge.. its never full.. maybe coz prices are a tad higher.. but worth the pleasurable shopping experience!

If you need to do a weekly family grocery stop this is the pace to get it all in one place: excellent quality produce, huge selection of meats, massive selection of breads and baked goods, fresh fish and the biggest selection of cheese and cold cuts in Mississauga. Besides regular goods they also carry an excellent selection of imported goods from Italy, Croatia, Poland, South America and Germany. Once you're done shopping sit down for a cup of freshly brewed Italian Lavazza Coffee and a lunch at the adjacent sit down cafeteria before choosing a bottle of wine, a bouquet of flowers and a lottery ticket before leaving out. Truly everything one needs in a one stop including a large enough parking and no traffic to be stuck in (unlike going to Square One). Very important during the pandemic: because the store is so big there are rarely any line ups (check out the back entrance if there is a line in the front).

Even if you don't live nearby, you owe it to yourself to make a special trip and checkout Highland Farms. It will never be my weekly grocery store, but I highly recommend it for special purchases and adding variety to your pantry. They have the biggest meat counter and bakery counter I have ever seen. They also have items I have found hard to find elsewhere. For example, I needed artificial rum flavoring and they had it when a surprising number of other stores did not. For fruit, you might find more variety at a big dedicated market, but you will definitely find a selection here you won't find at a typical grocery store. If you don't like narrow crowded aisles, you will love Highland Farms. I tend to go through the week and it is so easy to get around and not crowded. The store feels like it caters to an older European crowd. It's a bit old fashioned feeling, but not in a bad way. Finally, this is not the cheapest place for everything you are going to buy. However, you can save money here by being selective in what you buy. It can also be a life-saver when you have an event with food to plan without a lot of time.

Have gone several times to this location mostly on weekend mornings. During and even before covid, this location is very well maintained and clean. Quite big and lots of space for shopping. Lots of varieties of meats, deserts, fruits and vegetables. There is also a floral, chocolate, lottery and alcohol shops at the front of the store. Staff members are friendly are there is always someone around in each section. Highland farms is more on the expensive side compared to other grocery establishments however you always receive quality products.

Great grocery store. Very clean & vast! I can't give it 5 stars, though...about 45-30 mins before closing, the bakery section is broken down...all of the breads are taken away.. The meats in the butchery section are being covered. That is not OK...if you close @10, then close @10...everything should be readily available until the minute you close

Like this place for the Fresh Vegetables and its variety. A bit expensive that Walmart and NoFrills etc. But worth it, for its freshness. You refrigerate it, and it stays for longer days. The bread and the meat too is good. Go in for a week's grocery, you will enjoy it.

Highland farms carries lots of local, smaller brands. It’s a great escape from the other big box stores you see on every corner. The deli section is huge and they even have Malta Bake Shop Pastizzi’s. The selection of stuff is wonderful. The highland cattle are on display in the back of the warehouse. They had two other pet highlander’s, Tammy and Beefy Brian, before the current highlanders, Nicole and Fred. I used to go pet Beefy Brian before the Beefy Brian Burger Day. I miss him but he was delicious.

This grocery store is Huge!! There is such a large selection for everything. Lots of delicious desserts, huge meat, deli and cheese selections as well. There is also a Laura Secord with ice cream, a liquor store and a restaurant area to sit and eat. Good customer service with friendly staff.

Everything's a bit pricier than usual, avoid buying anything here that you could get from any other grocery store like Walmart because you'll probably end up paying 2-3$ more (even if its on "sale"). This is like Mecca for people of Italian descent! Super selection of pastries, fresh breads and buns. The widest selection of fresh meats I have ever seen under one roof, plus imported Italian goods that you simply can't find at your mainstream grocery store. They have a great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, including apples from their own orchards! They also have a wide selection of imported goods from other countries, such as Germany, Poland, as well as the Caribbean islands. You don't find selection like this in your national chain grocers!

I have been living in the area since 1992, and since Highland farms opened I have been shopping there. Their prices in the fruits and vegetables are a bit more than your budget groceries, but well worth it. If fruit save SWEET, they are sweet, I count on this categorization. I have yet to see "old" or "tired" fruit or vegetables. The meat is amazing from the butcher side, and I get to pick exactly what I want (applies to seafood section too). The selection of their deli is beyond fantastic. Large variety to choose from.

One of my favorites groceries in Toronto. Price is fair. You can find less expensive places in the city, but at the end, due to their quality and variety for vegetables, dairy, cheese, oils, meat and pastry, the price is not a problem at all. Store is really huge. A lot of variety with different options could be found here. Every counter and shelves are so beautifully stocked up. If I talk about price, it's a bit higher than any other stores. It's not an economical store but it's definitely a sophisticated one.

Although things are a bit pricier here, the selection is amazing and the quality of the fruits and vegetables are amazing. Really love how there is a deli, meat counter, dessert counter and seafood counter here. Also a small cafe/cafeteria, A Laura Secord ice cream shop, and now a small beer corner. And the prepared foods like the pizza are good too. It is truly a one stop grocery shop.

Used to be my favorite grocery store....will not spend my money there no more. Last 5 visit was a mediocre to below average experience but today was the cherry on the rotten cake. The lady at the meat department, poultry section was yelling at us to take a number even though we were the only ones there. My husband went and got the number and the lady made us wait with a victorious smirk...we got turkey wings, by the way still full of feathers... and the next purchase the lady tried to sneak in a huge piece of fat in my bag. When I called her on it, she was rude and told me that it is what I asked for. I asked her why she was so rude and she started yelling at us that they are understaffed, verbal abuse from the person that is supposed to provide a service. I left my purchase and will stick with COSTCO DELIVERY which is absolutely fabulous. Don't need turkey wings that bad. The place is also extremely expensive compare to COSTCO.

Redicuously over priced and their weekly flyer has no good offers. I found that the store has a large variety for coffee beans, but not all is good quality. I had to try many brands until I found some decent ones for French Press and Espresso. Their customer service especially their cashiers is noticeably declining considering it is a top supermarket. I have been a customer since late 90's and there is a huge difference of how nice their cashiers were back in the days. If you fancy shopping for the same items and pay more then it is the place for you. Exception for their meat selection, in-store made cake section, and some unusual veggies and fruit.

Clean facility and good quality products, however SEVERELY disappointed with their customer service. Cashier scanned a sale item and the price was wrong. The sale price was posted on their in-store sign and their weekly flyer. Customer service rep proceeded to tell us that WE were wrong and the item is not on sale. They should have just owned up to not updating their system and modified the price without trying to put the blame on the customer for their own mistake.

I used to buy cake and bakery products from their shop every month and the taste was pretty good (always) but those are on shelf cakes/products, on my daughter’s b ‘day I ordered a Minnie mouse cake with vanilla flavor, but to my surprise two things happened, first none of my guest liked cake and most of them throw away, the reason being that decoration cream was bitter in taste from the sides; second thing was the mini mouse toy supposed to come with boxed necklace as showed in the cake picture but we found the necklace box empty. Now, when I went back to the store to report issue (took back half of uneaten cake as well), store manager just saw it and asked if cake is bitter only from sides or from center as well, I told all details, he then said then problem is not with cake and is with cream and I was in agreement with that, he then tried to hold the situation and told me that cream has colors so it can be bitter and I should be told upfront, to my surprise, I was not told about it and I am eating cake from last 25 years and never encountered such bitter tasting cake, I enquired on who is supposed to tell me, because I clearly stated while ordering that this cake is for kids birthday, he doesn’t have answer and later I asked about the missing toy, he didn't had any answer. He said, max they can do is refund money but anyway that can’t bring back the time when guest would have enjoyed rather than throwing it away. Anyway I left a complaint in their complaint box, next day I received a call and manager still told same thing that cake can be bitter and it's not their fault and they can’t do anything, I should have been told upfront but I wasn't. Anyway I promised myself not to go there or buy cake from them ever, worst experience!

I have enjoyed my experiences at Highland Farms in the past but today was a disappointment. The fruits were either overripe or still too green. The apples had too many scabs on them. I would have overlooked the imperfections in the fruits and chalked it up to the bad growing season, but then on my way out I got bumped by a cart being pushed by a staff member. She apologized but didn't stop to make sure that I was okay.

This place has gone down hill. Hot counter for food is no where near as good as it used to be. (For some reason beyond me they changed what used to be the best Potato wedges in the GTA.) Area is a nightmare to drive to, and the store is in desperate need of a renovation/face lift. Prices are about what you would expect to find at any non budget based grocery chain. One thing the place still has in an extremely friendly staff. Always a pleasure to deal with.

TERIABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE... The workers in the deli section had no short of understanding of what to do. I was referred by a good friend but when I went in to get some meat the worker had no clue in terms of what he was doing. I would even say I would give this place “0 stars.” More specifically, the Deli department. This is because hygienically the worker WAS NOT WEARING GLOVES WHEN HE TOUCHED THE MEAT!!! I have further reported such practices TO THE MINISTRY. The way he talked back is insane, I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO ANY OF THESE LOCATIONS EVER AGAIN! I wish I got his name, but that is how much it shows how less I cared for this institution. It was surprising how the other workers let him do whatever he desired... it’s almost as if they’re being held against their will. For FUTURE CUSTOMERS, get your meat somewhere else like MAPLE LODGE FARMS! I will be shopping their and never HERE and I shall never enter these doors AGAIN! YOU HAVE MY WORD!

Outdated decor. Went to get meat but they were operating on a ticket system. Understaffed, waited 20 mins to get 2 ribeye steaks. Cashier tipped over my napoleon cake during check out. Steak was good and that would be the only reason I’d be going back.

Terrible customer service. I was next in line to pay when the cash register broke down. This was no big deal; computers break down all the time. So I waited for it to be rebooted, and it still didn't work. The cashier told me that she would have to move registers, so I asked that I be served first. Her response was that I should just pick a different line. She moved registers, and I was stuck at the back of another long lineup with my two young kids. I spent a very frustrating half hour just to pay, and was met with nothing but attitude. It was my first and last visit.

Went here on a sunday afternoon for some quick shopping, staff was friendly, but the prices seemed high to me for the usual stuff (bread eggs treats etc) also i found the place a little depressing and bleek.... there was no ambient music playing in the background, everyone seemed to be walking around like the walking dead (the customers i mean!) The flourescent lights were killing me and the displays looked like something out of a flea market. This place needs to try harder.

This is a huge store with plenty of free parking and lots of shopping buggies. There are many departments with large selections to satisfy your own taste; a Cafe, Chocolate, Bakery, Wine & Beer, Flower, Meat, Butcher, Seafood, Bakery, Grocery, Fruit & Vegetables (organic too), etc. Loss leader weekly flyer prices are fairly competitive to get you in the door but you’re going to pay a little more overall. It’s a treat to come here for the experience even if it’s just once. I love the bakery department! Staff are very helpful and courteous, plus checkout is quick.

Not sure if this location is the largest Highland Farms in the GTA but it sure looks and feels like it when you step in. It is massive. A couple of football fields filled with produce and groceries. There's also a public washroom in the middle. There is a wine section as is separate sit down coffee shop. The produce they carry seems fresh and the aisles kept clean. Lots of parking. Been around now for 20 years!

Arrogant. Customer unfriendly. They forced Me to take the heavy cake out of the bakery section and didn’t even let me pay for it first and then come back for it. They couldn’t care less if it got damaged. In the queue, management works with very less trust of its cashiers and for the slightest reasons ask for a supervisor to come in and unlock their cash terminal. Horrible service. Their bakery has very awesome cakes though. But I’d go for any other bakery in future.

While their pastries are fresh, they have absolutely no standards of how to treat their employees. They don't train them on proper machines. The cash registers are missing buttons. The people training employees have no patience. They yell at their new employees in training and attempt to humiliate them in front of customers. The other workers are unfriendly and rude to customers. Definitely not the place to shop if you are expecting friendly employees and great service.

Huge supermarket with seemingly unlimited selection. Clean, well-stocked, and prices are decent. Massive deli counter, and a produce section that is second to none. A lovely built-in flower shop, and a well-stocked cooked food section. The ethnic section covers more than you'd expect for a mainstream supermarket. Two dozen cashiers keep lines moving nicely. Two large parking lots have available spots even during peak shopping hours. But be aware that petty thieves like to remove the chained keys at the shopping cart corrals that allow you to retrieve the coin you put in your cart, and the store doesn't seem too vigilant at replacing them or catching the offenders.

One of the Great supermarket in Mississauga area. Has almost everything needed, however mostly catering to Western products, even though they now have certain very limited Eastern or Asian products but not at all close to the kind of Asian atmosphere other supermarkets has. Their aisles are very spacious having huge produce section, large meat section, a nice big deli section, bakery section which is large as well. Moreover the organizing is very neat, clean and bright, very noticeable that the owners are around.

I love this grocery store because I can always find exactly what I need. It's a big store. And the produce is usually of a better quality than it is elsewhere. Granted it can be a bit more expensive, but sometimes I just really want to buy food that is good and fresh for a special meal or occasion. For those situations I usually go to Highland. Also when I am looking for hard to find or imported items. Highland Farms does a pretty good job of carrying items that are culturally and seasonally important but not easily found elsewhere. I always do my Christmas grocery shopping here.

Amazing produce and one of the best seafood counters around - lots of hard-to-find international foods as well. If you have a sweet tooth you'll adore their huge variety of in-store and popular brand desserts at the bakery counter. Lines can be long during peak times as they seldom have more than a third of the registers open, but they do have express (up to 10 or 16 items) tills at each end of the store if you're just picking up a few things.

I purchased a chocolate cake on Jan 31 2018 at 5.35 pm from their bakery at the Matheson location for my daughter's 6th birthday. What started out as a fun evening quickly turned into one of disgust when we cut the cake and found mold all over inside the cake! I had family over and immediately had to collect all the pieces we served ,packed it up and took it back to the store.When I showed it to the store manager ,Carlos, who basically didn't bat an eye, took one look at the cake and said 'was the cake cut up like this when you bought it?'He seemed very dismissive about the whole thing saying that particular cake wasn't made in their bakery and they bought it from a third party supplier who delivered those cakes. When I asked him who they were he said he didn't know and that they dont do quality control for food! Is it me or am I deluding myself into thinking that a grocery like highland farms don't check if they serve good quality cakes? I will be taking this to food complaint board at the Region of peel if this issue is not resolved with me at the earliest.

It's on the more expensive side compared to your Wal-Marts or No Frills, but those places simply cannot match the quality that Highland Farms offers. The staff is also very nice and helpful. These guys used to sell best apples from the farm (their own brand), so I came there often and bought a pack, like every day or two. Not a walking distance from work anymore, but recently driving by. I bought 4 packs, apples were old, not juicy at all, going straight to garbage. Greens were juicy but not tasty. I'm disappointed. The rest was ok, breads not very fresh, hard to make a pick. Not 2 employees to handle the line up which was very long and about 20 minutes wait time. Especially if you had an order booked already and picking up item(s) then that should be a separate line. I do not shop regularly at Highland Farms because it is quite a distance from my home. When I shop here I always find the store bright and clean, the staff are friendly , knowledgeable and helpful. There is ample parking. The quality of the meat and the produce is excellent. It is a bit more expensive than my neighbourhood stores but not enough to be a deterrent to shopping here. I cooked the pork chops I purchased at Highland Farms for dinner last night and even my adult son commented on what nice chops they were.

This place is pretty amazing. It has a larger, better, and higher end variety of brands than most other places. The prices are hit and miss, some things are more expensive than other stores but other things are roughly the same or cheaper. It's super clean and well maintained. The staff are very friendly and unlike some other places, actually stop what they're doing and ask who needs help. The set up of the store reminds me of Fortino's.

Now, before Covid, we could help ourselves to coffee and I always got whichever pot was the fullest. When I asked the lady behind the counter "What coffee is the fullest this morning?" This was in a clear voice loud enough to be heard despite my wearing a mask; she didn't understand me. I then had to ask "What coffee is freshest""? She still didn't undertstand. I then asked "What coffee do you have the most of?" Stilll nothing and she had to get a coworker to help out. I was speaking very basic English, let's be real. While this place can be more expensive than Superstore, Wal-Mart and the like, their prices are cheaper than Metro, Longo's and Whole Foods. What I really love is their selection of locally grown produce. Apples galore!!! Also, their health/specialty section is pretty good as well as they have adzuki bean noodles, quinoa pasta, spelt, etc. One brand I'm in love with is Bob's Red Mill and their selection of Bob's Red Mill items is huge. I just wish they were slightly closer. They actually aren't too far from me, but Hurontario traffic is killer. Please support this local business.

Clean. Large. Lots of selection. Fresh veggies. large deli - cured meats and cheese. The live seafood/fish section is a little lacking. Hugh bread/pastry section. Due to the pandemic fresh pastries are bagged. Items are somewhat pricier than other stores, but you will get more options, and available stock. It's fun to peruse the aisles for large selection of things, e.g sauces.

I can't believe how large this store is and how much parking they have! I have never once seen the parking lot at full capacity, and the isles have plenty of space to move around with your cart. The pastries here are incredible, and I was shocked at the wide variety of Gluten-Free options they have here! So much nicer than having to go to a specialty or whole foods store that would be much more expensive.

Best local produce, even in winter. You can find lots of specialty items there like vegan cheese and lactos free foods. They have a great selection of specialty oils and vinegars and peppers. Meat counter is a little expensive though, so only for really special occasions.

Clean environment. Had to wait 10 mins for sliced deli meat, but worth it. I have never seen any expired product on the shelves, ever. The attention to detail in this store is impeccable, well done to all managers and staff for making this store a pleasure to shop in.

This is a good place to shop, the items are of good quality and the place is spacious enough to do your grocery, however, this branch has two problems: 1- the prices are much more higher than other grocery stores in the region and 2- it is clear that the superficial beauty of the fruits and vegetable is due to artificial nourishment of the corresponding trees/plants. Buyer should be aware that the exterior form of natural items can give you an idea how "natural" they are

If your planning on getting a hot breakfast from this place well give yourself attleast half an hour the workers are so slow at making breakfast I was waiting in line for almost ten minutes with one person In front of me after the first five mins they realized "oh the grill isn't on high enough that's why the eggs are taking so long" and then continued to ignore everyone else in the lineup waiting ten mins for a breakfast that I could've made at home in two mins? So oblivious to customers so I just ended up leaving....very disappointing for such a large place.

Excellent store. Good produce and good selection of cakes/desserts. The one sore spot is the butcher counter. Don't get me wrong the meat itself is fine, it's the customer service. Last time I was there no one was manning the beef section, and when someone showed up, they couldn't tell me the difference between their several ground beef mixes (which for some reason are spread out across the beef section instead of beside each other). They also stop cutting meat well before closing, I guess to give themselves enough time to clean up at the end of the day. But couldn't they schedule a clerk to stay a little later after closing to ensure customers are properly served during operating hours?

I ended up at Highland Farms in Mississauga by chance, on my search to find turkey neck lol it's the only place that had it. When I walked in I thought I was in a dream grocery store. It's so big and clean and orderly! The produce section is beautiful! Everything is fresh and well displayed. The bakery, omg buy the apple pie and thank me later. The meats all look fresh and clean too. I think this will be my new grocery store!

I bought a store made baked good and when I got home I realized it was labeled incorrectly. I called the store and the person who answered was very rude. I went to the store with the product and receipt and spoke to the manager. He immediately went to the bakery to investigate, apologized and replaced my product. Even though this should be the standard process. There is a lack of customer service these days and I appreciated the way he handled the matter. Thank you to the manager again and this store has my loyalty. Even though it's not close to home.

Always enjoy visiting this store which isn't often since we live in Brampton. Our stops at Highland are typically short, with specific items in mind, although on a few occasions I did walk the whole store to see the variety. Every department, every aisle, is amazing and wonderful! Today was the first time I purchased meat at this store, did not know a ticket system is in place but now I do! We've had trouble finding good rib steaks in Brampton (thin, tough, tasteless); the rib steaks purchased at Highland today were beyond excellent. Love, love, love Highland Farms.

This place is humongous!! It has two different entrances. So many choices to mention but all kinds of dietary need choices. The carts need money and there are baskets available. There are not many Highland Farms. My boyfriend likes this place because he gets distracted by all the different foods but almost all as a family we cannot ingest due to allergies. Yet we do find things for our dietary needs.

Went to buy some chicken wings, ask the clerk to put the orders in separate bags, I was buying for myself and for someone who couldn't go to store due to COVID 19, the clerk flatly refused to do so in a rude manner saying, "we don't do separate orders." She put the order in one bag then gave me an extra bag. All she had to do was do another order in a different bag weigh it and put the sticker, but I guess that was too difficult a task for her to do. This will be my last visit to that store.

Horrible experience in the flower department, I’ve been going there for years and getting flowers there for mother’s day. I was there this morning and there was only me and four other people and I was willing to pay for the extra cellophane and her response was simply were too busy so she she threw wrapping paper on top of it and there were rips all over it. Very disappointing for such a reputable company. So in result I had to go to the dollar store to buy cellophane and do it myself because the presentation was of a two year old. Highland Farms is always been one of my favorites to go to the fresh meat the fresh baked goods the pastry counter must be at least 100 feet long and the meat counter probably double that if not more I enjoy shopping there the people are great very very helpful I think I will keep going there for the rest of my cooking experiences

Found a very nice clerk, who went with me to confirm that the display was $3.99, he accompanied me to the service desk, contacted his manager who told him to give it to me for $3.99. I said to the clerk who was correcting the mistake, if I was at another store, it would be free, she smiled sweetly and then she said, actually you're right! Highland Farms is a very large store. Great variety, clean, and well maintained. There are long rows of meats, various cheeses, fish/seafood, desserts, and cold cuts, with full service. Large produce, and bread areas. There are also ready made pizza, roasted chickens, etc for meals to take home. Fair sized wine, and beer section, a floral area, lottery area, and a Laura Secord. One stop shopping for sure. Excellent place.

The selection of items is quite diverse. Highlights feature their bakery and their meat section. The aged steaks are fantastically tender and juicy, making for perfect options at a reasonable price. Occasionally, there will be some narrow sales to keep an eye out for. The bakery section has giant muffins and donuts available. The former being quite flavorful despite its massive size. The cake selection is also quite good, having variety in flavor profiles and maintaining a consistent quality.

Highland Farms is a very clean, organized and well stocked Grocery store. While there on two different occasions, I asked the employees for some help on a product and also where to find a product and both times they were very helpful and brought me to the product. I was also very surprised that they carry a brand that is very hard to find in other grocery stores. The bakery, Meat Dept, and Seafood have a great display of products and always looks fresh. I love that they have the foods that is on my restricted diet. I can't say enough about the cleanliness of the store, always clean and tidy. I will definately travel the extra time to get there, I love it!

I am disappointed with the "fresh" deli counter as I have seen deli meats that were expired or about to expire within a few days. The bakery department as well; an older staff memeber stated that a couple of the other workers was wrong and didnt know what they were saying or doing so to bad for the customer instead of trying to rectify the issue at hand.

Ok. Mixed bag of things at this location. The cheese at the cheese counter was good. The boccacini was firm and had a great bite to it. However right next to the counter is the olive counter. And boy o boy does this need a quality upgrade. For the same price point at St Lawrence market or Kensington market you can get vastly superior olives. Firm tasteless un ripened olives. Really bad quality. Thankfully I only bought 2 varieties in a small container . There donuts made in house are also decent. Vanilla sprinkles where good.

Very disappointing.. I was at the Scarborough location on the 31th of January, got a cake and couple of cannolis and other pastries. Cannolis and pastries tasted so bad that straight away you can tell that they were old.. fresh cannolis are crunchy,and the filling inside should be creamy. My point is your display look so appealing and delicious shouldn't your product be the same?

Great produce but poor service, especially for seniors. Everytime I go , I have to spend at least 20-30 minutes just waiting to get meat. Of note, most of their meat is purchased through their meat service counter section and usually only have 3 staff, despite the fact that they have many loyal customers. As a senior, I thought I would have better luck in the AM at shortening my time for possible COVID 19 exposure, so I went at 7:30 am . Three persons were behind the meat service counter: they had a woman doing all the work, providing service to all the customers, mostly seniors, while the two men busied themselves doing other things. One was cutting meat in the back, the other was spent his time arranging signs, folding boxes and then disappeared behind doors--despite the fact that there were many seniors waiting and complaining about the service. I did complain to customer service but was just given a condescending shrug and smile. If they truly want to provide service for seniors during this PANDEMIC, they should evaluate their customer service.

I was sold spoiled meat and Highland Farms were very reluctant to reimburse. It took 20 minutes and discussions with two managers before a refund was offered. Return processes at Loblaws and Whole Foods are far less difficult and I was left feeling like a valued customer. Highland Farms left me feeling like my concerns and my business was not worth their time.

The store is great, the only thing I wouldn't recommend is buying produce here. Almost every time we buy Berries they're moulding and this morning I found an egg sac on one of the Driscoll's Raspberries. I'm not sure why they don't do quality checks before putting them out onto the tables but they probably should considering how unsanitary this is.

The bakery has really good cakes but one of the ladies working there is so rude to the customers! I have had many pleasant experiences here before but I was really put off by the rudeness of this lady. All I asked was if they have any vegan desserts and she rolled her eyes and started yelling saying “WE DON’T DO THAT DONT COME HERE ASKING FOR IT”.

I feel sorry for the people that have to shop here due to the fact that there is no other major grocery store in the area. The quality of the food is below standard, perhaps due to Highland's warehouse quantities, compared to the other national grocery chains. Just recently I made the mistake of buying food from this barn. I got food poisoning from their Boston Lettuce - La Salad purchased on March 25, 2021. The hydroponically grown lettuce has no expiry date on it and it displayed in the aisles in an open display chest that was providing almost room temperature refrigeration when I tried to choose the coldest lettuce. Another time I was SHOCKED to see a male employee working in the fish department, of senior citizen age, sweep the floor and then use the same broom to clean the top of the metal table next to the doorway leading to the back. Image what we do not see. Obviously, cleanliness is an allusion. On another occasion, I bought a large piece of turkey breast from the glass display area, and it was not fresh giving me food poisoning. Shopping here is a risk.

Woah! First time shopper, I found it super clean, the store boasted a BEAUTIFUL produce department (even at prime shopping time). Shelves were satisfyingly stocked and front faced.. I love it here LOL. Also to note as a vegetarian I had some meat items on my list and the poultry department was very helpful as I wasn’t sure what I was looking for. Thank you to the lovely lady who helped me there.

Clean grocery story. Have hand sanitizer and wipes for carts; however, remember to bring 25 cents to get a cart. Maybe highland farms you should think of removing this for covid and I for one don't carry around coins or cash as everywhere prefers credit or debit. They did have a great selection on cheese and charcuterie.

I would give more stars but I was just there and for the first time in my life I had to leave when one of the staff decided to start an argument with me over the cart system. I told her that I don't like the fact that you need a quarter to get a cart and she seemed to want to argue that all I had to do was wait in line at the service desk and they will give me a quarter. Why should I have to stand in line before I even get the chance to shop ? I have no intention of ever returning to shop there again, I have been shopping there for some time but now as I am writing this, I m at fortinos.

Went for a cake and theie fresh instore made sausages - love their selection of cakes and pastries. The sausage is usually very good but the one bought on this occasion was a little dry. Store was very clean and social distancing was good.
