Beautiful place to buy fresh vegetables as well as plants/flowers. Their staff is very helpful. We went with our 6 month old puppy and we all really liked there. We also bought garden soil. The management is very efficient and the staff is amazing!!

Herridge's is a great fruit and veggie market especially when their own produce - strawberries, tomatoes, apples, and more - are in. Strawberries go fast. Their Macintosh apples are amazing. Plus they have a large selection of nursery plants and flowers, including their own tomato plants. Highly recommend. Open seasonally, closed for the winter.

Always an experience. What the place lacks in sophistication; it makes up for in, uhm, farmyness. Its hard to believe this place is so near downtown Oakville; and not in cottage country. Produce is top quality, with apples, tomatoes, strawberries, corn, etc. all grown on site.

Mixed feelings about this place. Have been going for years and their products are great. Outdoor staff is helpful and polite. Paying for your stuff though is where the wheels fall off. The girls at the counter are rude to put it mildly. Only reason we keep going back is because it's been long enough to forget how bad our last experience was at check out. UPDATE: For one reason or another found myself having to shop here again and to my surprise checkout was pleasant. Keep it up!

We like Herridge’s. Their garden centre has great products and they are reasonably priced. The market has great quality vegetables and fruit. I agree it isn’t cheap but the quality is there. I do agree the customer service can be rough inside. Not always though.

Very disappointed by the customer service here. I am a huge produce eater and spend around 100 dollars weekly on fruits and veg, when I saw Herridge’s I was excited. After waiting in line (no issues with the wait) our hands were sprayed with sanitizer, we had our masks on. I was checking out the produce I was going to buy and would put down the produce that was bruised or too ripe. However I was told rudely by the woman at the front that I could not touch the produce, unless I was buying it. I was buying it, I actually spent 120 dollars but at those prices I think I should be allowed to check what I am buying. Especially considering I had just had my hand sanitized at the doorway. Also ironic considering a staff member was cutting fruit in the back WITHOUT a mask. People wash their produce before they eat it so I should be able to touch it and inspect. As I was leaving I told the girls at the cash to have a nice day and they said nothing to me. After being very polite to the couple in line before me. I am very disappointed as this was my first experience and I wanted to support a local business and farmers.

Great place to get local produce in the summer, though they do import a lot of their fruits and veggies as well. They grow their own strawberries on site and have an orchard out back. Possibly more that is grown on site?

Was at a friend's place and decided to do some early jack-o'-lanterns this year. Picked up 3 very decent sized and very healthy looking pumpkins with little gourds of various shapes and types. Stayed in the beautiful outdoor section and the cashier there was super friendly and helpful! Such wonderful service and great prices on top of it all. Will be back to check out the fruits and vegetables!

Amazing Service. They are now offering CURB_SIDE pickup which is a great option. Their staff made it very easy to do the "shopping" and they have made it still very personal. Great place to shop if you are in South Mississauga. The celery was fabulous... haven't tasted like that for ever.... too used to the dried out stuff that you get in a typical super market. Really fab veggies! Also they have a really good system for clients that want to shop in store, with restricted # of people. Plus they have dedicated staff that are just handing out hand sanitizer as you enter, plus sanitizing the buggies as they get returned. Super impressed. ! #CURBSIDE_PICKUP #SOCIAL_DISTANCING We will be back !

Great distancing practices here! Only 5 customers are allowed inside at a time, they provide you with a squirt of hand sanitizer as you enter, they sanitize carts every after use, and they check to see that you're wearing masks correctly before entering! All of these factors + the fresh Ontario produce makes this my favourite place to shop.

Impolite staff and seriously over-priced products (i.e. Bananas = $1.15lb at Herridges vs $.58lb at Loblaws). Many more similar gouging examples. This business is well past its “best before” date and does not deserve my patronage — or yours. I think it’s the generally rude staff that bothers me most. That speaks to management/ownership caring little about the customer. I have finally had enough. It takes a lot for me to break ingrained habits but I am done with them. Bye bye. I won’t shed a tear if Herridges goes under because it’s one of those businesses that clearly doesn’t even try to earn my business. It EXPECTS me to shop there. There are many competitors in the area who are far more deserving of my dollars.

I always look forward every year to the opening of Herridges Farm Fresh Market. I am a keen gardener and grow both flowers and vegetables, and each year l get most of what l need there. Everthing is excellent quality, there us a wide selection of perennials and annuals at a very reasonable price. The added bonus is the farmers market, with wide selection of excellent fresh fruit and vegetables. I highly recommend a visit. You will surely visit again.

Everything about Herridge's was 5 star excellent EXCEPT 1 go/no go item. An employee visible through open doors in the food prep area was leaning over the packaging table. As he free cut the fruits, his face was just above the food, he wasn't wearing a personal face mask. Every other COVID-19 precaution was taken, with minimal disruption to the customers. But this guy was potentially exposing us to everything from COVID-19 to common cold. Another employee told me he refused to wear a facemask and no law could force him to. That of course is BS. Herridge's could be giving away their produce but it's just not worth the risk.

I thought I was gonna be the only one who had a negative experience but I see now that many others have had similar experiences. The staff are horribly rude and clearly don’t care at all about giving you good service. They were very kind to the customers before me though, who were NOT wearing masks. One of the staff, also not wearing a mask, was blocking the exit and wouldn’t move when I was trying to leave. I thought perhaps they were rude because of my ethnicity but after reading the other reviews, maybe not. This was my first time trying to support local businesses and doing my groceries at a farmers market so I’m very disappointed by this.

Unfortunately today was not a good experience. I have been in clarkson since 72 and have always supported local business especially herridges i grew up and went to school with the kids whose parents owned and operated herridges...today will be my last day that I will ever shop there and I will not be alone..i went to purchase some flowers and fruit along with my 80 yr old mother as we were walking from the flower section to the fruit section the one young blond girl that works there decided to throw a tomatoes from the front of the store to the garden by tje road..as she did this parts of that tomatoes landed on me .she asked me if it hit me and yes it did..i know it's hard to find good help and I'll make an assumption that this kid is probably related .however funny it was to the 3 girls working there today..i found no humor in it

Bought firewood from the place and it’s the worst I’ve ever used. Used pounds of newspaper and the bloody wood wouldn’t burn. I even bought a bag of the thin wood starter pieces and used twigs and still nothing. Pieces they provide are too think, and you would need to cut them into quads to see any success. They should include an axe with every purchase. This type of tree should be planted in BC, they would never have any forest fires.

Very disappointed. I paid $5.99 today for a quart of strawberries that looked o.k. at the market but at home (10 minutes from market) found about 80% of them to be rotten. Also, price of pies not marked anywhere: found out they were $13 for a very regular sized pie.

Very disappointed to go for Roma tomatoes for some sauce only to find out that they have only half bushels but are charging almost the same as a full bushel. I know it's a bit later in the season but to charge double the price is robbery. The girl at the cash was completely disinterested in any form of customer service and just stood there and said; "do you want them or not" and looked like she should have washed her hair or at least tied it back before work. I won't be visiting again.
