This Fruit Store is classified in the category of Grocery store.
Found many items I couldn't find elsewhere.
Great variety of fresh produce
I love the fresh produce and butcher shop at this store. They have great in house Cousin brands. It’s small and easy to navigate compare to the large major grocers. Would recommend!
Small higher-end Grocery store. Clean and nicely laid out, but not a great choice if you are looking for a large variety of items.
Great neighbourhood store! Good pre made meals for a reasonable price. Produce is always super fresh!
Fresh produce and other branded kombucha! Love it.
Handy and friendly but very expensive.
the pizza was horrible i found a fork in it.....and also your meats were rotting i fed it to my kids and they got food poisning What a bad place never go here...
I only go here when I really need something. Not a low cost place. Fruits and vegetables are fresh, no complaints on quality of service or products. Friendly staff.
Competitive prices, good selection of organic stuff.
Nice place to buy fruits and flowers
Good selection of speciality and deli foods, very tasty prepared meals, good produce
I always buy from the bakery section here and its always been a 10'10. Imagine my surprise the last time I went there got my cupcakes came home and opened my package and it was a bunch of hard cupcakes.....? I called the store and the person that picked up was SO AMAZING he told me to come in whenever "no need to bring the cupcakes" and they would give me a full refund. I never went in for the refund but I thought that the customer service was just amazing. **Also I've read the yelp reviews and most of them are just lies never have I ever had a bad in store bad experience and I've been going their for years.
Family own business with plenty of healthy organic products. We picked up a jar of butternut squash soup and hummus. Has plenty of prepared food. In the heart of Port Credit.
Great selection.
Its like a mini wholefoods! Loved looking around!
Great place to shop!
Love this place, food variety is awesome. Their freshly squeezed OJ is really nice and refreshing... Morrocan chicken soup is definitely worth a shot...really hearty and nice.
Too expensive. Way to expensive. Can get same products cheaper elsewhere.
Clean, easy to find products. Although prices are not as "cheap", the quality of fresh beef/chicken/fish is well worth the extra fees. Will definitely be returning
Very very beautiful place to shop! Always fresh produce fresh bread & fresh ready to eat food. They have stuff u dont see anywhere else. Alot of healthy foods too! I love the salads. Oh and they renovated and its 100 times better than it was before and before it was still amazing! 5 start guarateed. ????
A beautiful clean store with friendly staff
Little expensive but there meats are proper
Very high prices. Check the expiry on all foods!
Not a supermarket, but certainly a destination as far as organic food is concerned in Port Credit. Good food and selection but on the pricey side. Also not a whole lot of choices. Definitely better after the renovations, but given that there is no 4.5 stars option, they get a 4.
Overpriced compared to other nearby markets. Quality is good though.
The place is very clean and tidy. I have tried the bakery and it was great but I just scanned the price tags in different sections and they are quite higher than the average market rates
Great variety hot table
Great Market fresh food Friendly staff i have ever seen thank you cousin's market I enjoyed your beautiful Market when i was shopping today ????????????
Very extensive selection of store made soups, prepared meals and marinated meats. Looking forward to a nice treat of butterflied and marinated leg of lamb with their prepared Alfredo fettuccine. Good prices on the produce.
Allways fresh meet,vegetables and fruits
One of the owners (Tony) followed me out to my car to continue arguing with me for bringing up a valid concern about a very obvious recent price increase of 30%, in which they left the old price tags sitting right next to the product. I find this aggressive and unprofessional. Hopefully this person can take part in healthy dialogue without taking on irritable and aggressive tone with customers in the future.
Awful store. Wasted 20 min for an employee to acknowledge I needed something from the hot deli. And another 25 min for me to return that item because I was incorrectly charged. If I wanted a snobby blue haired teen to talk down to me and not listen to what I'm saying I'd go back to high school.
Amazing place. Very friendly and accommodating employees
It is unbelievable that the store is open during mayor renovations. Getting "fresh" food while people are grinding in cement floors and dust is flying all over your food. Hanging lamps in the ceiling and your food is getting a great dusting you really don't want. It is great to do upgrades but think about overall costumer experience.
Great food and good location
Ordered Turkey and it tastes great... fantastic service
This place is the best!!!
Horrible service. Same food at other stores, but more expensive! No washroom for customers. Just because it's covid, doesn't mean people don't still need bathrooms. Soooooo disappointed!
I was invited at a Christmas party at my sister's place and she had gotten a fully cooked turkey from cousins. Not only was it mostly raw, the turkey was also stinking and unfortunately a great disappointment if not a health hazard.
Good selection of gourmet products.
Nice quality food, a little pricey.
Great speciality sausage and meat selection. Good selection of Hot table foods and salads ready to eat. And yes their desert counter has all that you need. All stations looked fresh and appetizing. Very good grocery experience.
My favorite upscale grocery store. They have the best orange juice and soups made in house
Great places to pick up lunch with a great selection of pre-made cuisine of all types. Sandwiches, soups, salads and a daily hot table.
The best lasagna! You can buy Cousins in store made lasagna fresh or frozen in small portions (2 - 4 people) or larger for 6-8 people. Also availble for ordering from their catering in half pan (6-9 people) or full (12-24). Thanks Tony for your help yesterday!
Hours are really limiting and the selection pales in comparison to the larger chains.
One of the best small grocers in the area. Meat and deli are very good. Lots of pre-made foods available for dinner if you don't feel like cooking.
The feeling of Racial bias in our own neighborhood - a feeling i hope no one ever has to go through. I have been going to Cousin's Supermarket for the past 6 years, ever since we moved into the neighborhood. I believe in supporting local businesses and I always believed it is important to do our part. This past Friday, one of the supervisors at Cousin's supermarket interacted with me in a way, that I cannot in all my judgement believed to be anything but racially biased. All I was doing was to return a bag of spanish clementines that i had just bought in error about 5 minutes prior, and in exchange, purchase a bag of Canadian clementines. The first thing she rudely asks me is 'can't you read? why did you purchase spanish clementines if you wanted ontario ones?' - so I politely said I did not realize it until I walked back to my car and I believe I was within my rights to return it right away'. She went on to complain that 'people like you' are just taking advantage of the system and that 'you should read english better' before purchasing things. She proceeded to refund my money and threw the cash on the counter in front - for me to pick up. I did not understand why she was behaving this way to me - perhaps it was the pressure of the craziness going on in the stores over the past days, maybe she was having a bad day - but why me? Why not the person in front of me who was purchasing about 50 packets of pasta, or any other customer in line. When I told her that she was being unprofessional and rude, she begins her rant of how I should be reading the labels better and not 'bother' the staff with returns. She does not apologize, not once mention that she should not have behaved this way or that she made a mistake by talking rudely to a customer. I could clearly see that her arrogance and rudeness was clearly racially motivated and confronted her. Even then, she just let out a big 'Whatever' and just waved me off. That's when i drew the line - I asked for the store manager and it so happened that the owner was in the store. We had a conversation about the issue. Yes, he was apologetic and yes he mentioned that he would have a word with the staff - but right away he said - 'dont consider this as being racially motivated as they screen their staff and make sure this sort of behavior is not allowed' - my question to the owner is this - Have you ever been subjected to racial bias? Have you ever felt pervasive racial tension in a conversation? If not, then how would you know that that staff did not have any racial bias and how would you know if your staff is in fact, having racial bias thoughts when interacting with customers, other staff etc.? So here are my parting thoughts - i will still continue to support Cousins because i think it is important to support local businesses - now more than ever. However, i hope this post spreads the word around and i hope that the ownership/management of the store does some deep introspection to see what is truly going on with the staff and particularly with this supervisor, who is probably responsible to set the tone of how all the staff interact with people. This is important. It is the Canadian way. We cannot let these kinds of pervasive/implicit racism occur in our society. I pray that my children never see a day when they are subjected to the same feelings I felt this past friday when i visited the Cousins supermarket.
Well stocked smaller supermarket, fresh foods, good service. More expensive then competitors of larger supermarkets.
Better than the standard chains. Not as expensive as Whole Paycheques and the like.
Midsize super market, clean, good variety of products, attentive staff, higher prices then average supermarket.
Great local market. Been a customer for years also use the lunch counter when we in a hurry on a Dive. Nest to my brothers Scuba Shop Mississauga Diving.
This place is better than longos in South Oakville that speaks for itself.
Their ready made foods are awesome.
Good selectiom fresh goods n small scale inhouse cooked meals
Great fresh produce, excellent selection of quality products. The deli is fantastic!
So good people are so very nice.
As others have said the store is nice and clean plus the staff is friendly. Prices are a bit steep but then again they have a lot of gourmet items I.e. lamb shanks, black pasta.
It takes one bad apple to leave a bad taste. Racial discrimination by an employee. Rude, indiscriminate, unprofessional and horrible comments that start with “people like you”.... This is absolutely unacceptable in this country. If you have freedom of speech, use it wisely, use it well.
\read produce, deli and prepared foodservice
Very good organic food
Small but excellent independent market place. Great produce and meats sections as well as items/brands that are more difficult to find elsewhere.
Turkey dinner was amazing And place has really good organic jams and sauce
Love it!
Great for fresh ready made food. Generally pricey so look for their specials.
Great family business
A little expensive for what it actually is. Looks nice inside and produce selection is small.
Great store highly recommended.
Have shopped here for 25 years. Best pulled pork in the area.
Fresh meets organic great selection of gf items
Amazing staff. Super clean. Can't say enough good things about this place.
This grocery store is a fixture in the Port Credit community! They also have a nice selection of flowers in the summer.
Always great. Good quality fun items perfect to bring to family gatherings from cheese and fruit to cakes and tarts.. With all the standards.
Good quality stuff, nice staff, always an enjoyable experience.
Nice Family oriented Super Market. Not too big and not too small. In and out in 5-10 minutes tops.
Nice little grocery store in Port credit. Nice meats and lots of prepared foods. I will be back.
It's an independent market, family owned, good selection of products, they sometimes don't carry certain products, it can be expensive, the staff is very friendly and helpful, their produce is fresh and well done. I don't shop here every day, couldn't afford to, but for the affluent port credit people, it's local and locally owned. Bonus. Give it a try, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Great little store. The chocolate croissants are amazing!
Somewhat overpriced food but a decent selection and good place to stop if you're in a pinch.
Great, fun staff and a great selection of groceries at reasonable prices.
Cousins is great European style grocery store. They offer fresh organic produce, excellent baked goods a good selection of cheeses organic milk. The store has an in-house butcher who makes fresh sausages. The steaks are fantastic and so are the other meats. They also sell home made dishes of different varieties. Hot dishes, sandwiches, variety of salads from their selfserv salad bar, lots of cold cuts, cakes, cookies and other sweets, espresso coffee cappuccino are available. There are a few tables, so one can sit down for lunch or coffee. The store is vey clean and well organized. The merchandise is well presented. It is modern with a pleasant atmosphere for shopping The staff if helpful and friendly. Their prices are competitive. It's a pleasure to shop there. It's really nice to see a store, that is easy to navigate to find things one needs without getting frustrated trying to locate an item, unlike in a big grocery store where merchandise is constantly shuffled around.
Most expensive store on planet earth.
(Translated) Cousins is a gourmet store where you will find top quality products. The store is a small but quite large gourmet supermarket, you can find a lot of fresh products and food. My recommendation is that if you are looking for high-end gourmet products, regardless of the price, you can visit this supermarket. The staff is always friendly and ready to help you with your purchases. Again I tell you that the prices are high for the faces of the products that you will find there.
Love this place such good produce
All great foods and services. Quality is key when it comes to food and they deliver it!
This is a good looking grocery. They've undergone major renos recently and the store is awesome. They sell a ton of their own prepared foods. Things you might not find in big chain groceries. Not too big, not too small, I doubt there's much you can't get here. Very friendly and helpful staff too. I like it a lot.
Great place
This is what a proper neighborhood grocery store should look like! Excellent fresh produce; STORE MADE soups (and bone broths), salads, authentic tiramisu, cornbread, and sugar pie (like the one in Quebec City), best fish counter in Mississauga, endless variety of burgers (incl. WAGYU), etc., etc. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The ladies at the checkouts sure know how to bag your D'Anjou pears so as not to bruise them. Must visit, if you are in Port Credit!
Friendly neighbourhood grocery store ! Very clean! They have great quality meats and cheeses ... their ready made food bar is fantastic. Shop local!
Excellent service.
It is a nice small market where you can find A1 produce including organic. They have their own bakery, they sell nice muffins, cakes and cupcakes, broiled chicken, huge selection of cheese and meats. Prices are fair, cleanliness spotless and very nice staff. Free parking for customers.
Not enough people to serve, limited choices, and expensive. It used to bi beautiful small supermarket, now after renovation it lost its charm.
Recently renovated. Lots of choice, especially pre-cooked meals.
Good local market. Superb capon's for BBQ'ing when they have them.
This place consistently underwhelms. It has such promise, but I am often disappointed. More than twice I have ended up with bad milk or meat from here. Last time I was in, there was a sparrow flying around! That can’t be hygienic!
Easy to find things you need and they cater too with well prepared foods
Friendly staff and fresh produce. Love the take-home meals, made every day by hand. Mac and cheese is my favourite.
If you read the crummy reviews you will see a pattern that I too have seen for years as well at Cousins - the rude owners - (a couple of late 40's-early 50's guys and more recently, a middle aged woman with blondish hair) who are NEVER EVER friendly, personable, polite or welcoming. Never. They are simply miserable looking. We have been shopping for years at Cousins as they do have some really great items and we prefer to shop local vs the big grocers. That said, never once have we been acknowledged or even smiled at - they almost go out of their way to be unfriendly and avoid their customers. For this reason, we are sad to say that we won't be shopping here any longer as there are several other options. It's truly disappointing that they are this 'type' of personality - when in a business serving the public. Perhaps our expectations are out of whack and we are looking for 'the good old small grocer days' where people actually took the time to smile, say hello, get to know their customer's', etc. - this is NOT the case here. In a world full of negativity, I don't need to 'feel' it at my local grocery store.
Need more options for common fruits and vegetables
Generally a good local grocery. Sometimes has a bad habit to leave past due items on shelf. Other then that it's a great store that I recommend.
Best organic turkey i ever had, meat is fantastic!
Nice little market store little of everything Italian feel great quality
Great family owned grocery store.
Good produce, great summer potato salad. Nice folks too.
Delicious prepared soups
your pizza is dry and my friend found a wiere
Pat Battaglia was a horrible manager of his staff. Intimidating and abusive.
Quite pricey for every day items. Would only go here if I was short on time and in the area. I know they do have specialty items and fresh food though.
Nice store but not cheap at all
I think I'll have to stop coming to Cousin's Market. I like it because it's in my neighbourhood, I always find spoiled food when I go. Today I was in the grape section and all the organic ones were moldy, the organic strawberries were moldy too and the orange gooseberries. And before that, on my previous trip there, I grabbed an organic cucumber and it was moldy and I grabbed a package of chicken feta sausages and they stunk like they were rotten. Every time I have been there in the last 5 months, there is so much moldy produce. If I'm going to pay premium price for your groceries Cousin's, can you get your people to go through things and look for mold and bad food. I'm starting to get quite disgusted by your operation. I've been driving to Oakville to go to WholeFoods and I never find any moldy produce. EVER or bad packaged meat. You are asking premium prices for bad service. Selling moldy produce and bad food is just downright bad service and it has ruined my shopping experience with you. I'm really disappointed and please don't blame it on the pandemic. Your produce team should be checking all produce that is out every day, and not just stocking the new stuff. I don't know how to run a grocery store, but I can guarantee you this is a surefire way to lose customers.
Neat, good quality produce, but expensive in comparison with other grocery stores.
Has the best eggplant parmigiana in Mississauga!
Good take out
I like this place, but not the several times the young man behind the meat counter was seen with his mask down below his nose. I was about to buy some expensive halibut....and left the store instead. I addressed this problem with him once before; this time, I just left. Managers...please ensure your staff follow covid protocols and wear the mask over the nose and mouth.
Expensive!!!!
Good local supermarket.
Always clean and products are fresh
I love this family run business. . I shop here all the time. The owners, staff, management are excellent. I purchase alot of their pre-cooked meals-fresh & delcious. ????
Great place to get food or drinks if you go to the nearby schools.
Great meat and veggies
Clean, organized, fresh, friendly..... And an amazing assortment of Gluten free products!
Good quality food, but the price is very high.
Nice little grocery store with a small-town feel to it
Newly renovated.
If you don't like behemoth grocery stores, and want better quality foods, check out Cousins. (It's similar to Bruno's Fine Foods, if you're familiar with them.) It can feel a bit cramped walking through the aisles, but they have packed a large amount of good food into their small premises. You won't find jumbo packs of Twinkies here--instead, plenty of brands for those who value taste and quality and aren't too concerned about price. Pre-prepared foods, especially salads, and savoury dishes to take home and re-heat are a highlight.
A little overpriced but top quality options.
The food is kind of overpriced, but once they gave out free sushi samples.
What a selection
Beautiful store. I no longer have to drive far to get the occasional gourmet specialty items and I love the hot and cold counters. It's like having a McEwans in the neighbourhood. The bakery area will definitely help add some pounds to the waistline. All in all, I love the improvements made to the store. Ultimate luxury in grocery shopping.
Good organic meats and fresh produce
Ok but premium prices.
Very pricey....but good food...Italian owned....
Renovated, great shopping experience, Cafe area.
Don't go to this place unless you want to shop at a store that doesn't make masks mandatory. At a non-busy time of the day, I entered Cousins to find 4 shoppers not wearing masks. These shoppers repeatedly walked by employees and no one said a word to them or told them to put on a mask- they just let them continue shopping without masks like nothing was wrong. If you're an anti-masker, this is the place for you!
amazing bakery! I wanted to buy it all!!
Well stocked market with great employees who care...great meat counter and top graded meats...great speciality items
Cousins has expended over the past couple of years and the upgrades are significant. I is a pleasant shopping experience, in a store that is not to big to get in and out of quickly if necessary. They have upgraded their assortments and the freshness is generally outstanding. Very good assortment of store made heat n eat products. It's not an inexpensive place to shop, but it's the price you pay for very high quality and standard of freshness.
I love this place! It's best for amazing prepared food but just a great clean fresh gormet supermarket. The only reason I gave it 4 stars us because it's a tad pricey.
Quaint little store, with lots of diversity
Very good supermarket with quality based products
Clean and modern store. Limited variety of brands available. Great produce, bakery goods and meat departments
Very clean store. Nice behavior of the cashier.
Upscale independently owned.
Good clean place with great service.
Hot ricotta fridays at 9am
Beautiful store but expensive on many fronts as compared to similar stores by atleast 25% if not less .
The latest expansion of this great local store makes this a bright cheery place with loads more variety. Definitely worth checking out. Their store brand olive oil is amazing.
Basically a mini Whole Foods, including the associated price point. Convenient location with decent parking. We mainly go when looking for higher quality food products or are tight for time. For standard food staples there are cheaper options not far away.
They are your friendly local grocery store where everybody knows your name if you go in the mornings. It's not the cheapest place for milk and egg but the quality is high especially the meat. The regular staff are more mature and works in the mornings and early afternoon and know the regulars and what you like. The late afternoon nd evening staff are mostly kids who are there to make spare cash. They don't usually care if you are a regular and can't answer any questions you might have. Come in the morning if you want good service.
The produce is not always fresh looking and it can be pricey. They do have a great selecting of consuments and sauces which i really like and the staff is very welcoming. I would go back...but not as a first choice
This Grocery store has to be Port Credit's gem ! Hand placed fruit and vegetables, custom freshly washed salad bags. Extensive salad bar and deli counter . Hot food available with one of the largest cheeae selections in town . A must, for the chef in you !
Terrific produce!
After wasting time shopping overpriced goods and before paying i asked for the washroom, their staff said it is closed for customers you can go to Tim Hortons. that was rude so i gave them back the shopping and decided to never shop there again.
Small, not a large selection of products. The ready-made foods looks good. It's a place that I rarely go to for groceries. The reason: they don't carry Melitta Bamboo coffee filters, All Natural, 80 pcs. It was a small area for coffee filters and a huge selection for hot beverages, oddly. They sell Mighty Leaf Tea, that was the reason to why I started going there, going back over 10 years ago.
Modern facilities conveniently located.
Fresh everything!
Upscale overpriced store
Fresh produce at best prices.
This is a wonderful local store. Staff are very friendly / helpful, and there is a nice selection of vegetables / fresh produce. Quality seems better than the chains. Their service during the pandemic / lockdown was a godsend.
Not sure the other reviewers were shopping at the same store!! 1. Extremely high prices compared to other chains like the Metro on Lakeshore. 2. No variety of standard products; they don't even have Maxwell House Coffee. Everything is some minor brand you've never heard of... 3. Meat and fruit are often sold close to expiry to get them off the shelves. 4. Why is every baked good "gluten free"? Some people actually WANT GLUTEN PLEASE. The only plus for us is location as it's walking distance.
BEST high-end grocer in Port Credit! Awesome staff (front & back) and the produce is always amazing! High quality. Great little bake fresh daily area and they have a great little (very clean) butcher area for the meat eaters. The deli counter is full of fresh/daily food items. They carry both non-organic and some organic items throughout the store. They’re annual nursery area outside is always pretty and neat. Their service throughout the pandemic time has been incredible!!! Highly recommend! Ty!!
Fresh food, Italian flare.
wonderful catering - great food, generous amounts!
Looking really nice after the renovations.
Great Market with amazing staff
I enjoy cousins but it can be more expensive than your average supermarket. BUT with this comes higher end products and options as well... overall cute little store but I would go to a larger store if I was looking for artisanal products to make sure I can get what I want.
Expensive!
Not enough vegan options
Good hot bar
Fresh, quality, best home made soups ever!! Outstanding customer service,.
This was the first time I've been to Cousins Market and was amazed! I was very interested in the fine foods they make daily for us to enjoy. The produce was fresh and they were stocked up with all types of great food including vegan. If our gut is happy, we'll be happy!
My go-to grocery store ! Almost everything organic and such a homey feel
It's a fantastic market. Everything is fresh and top quality. I like that they have a butcher shop. The meats are always plentiful and fresh. The produce is always fresh. Fresh fruits and vegetables. They also have a hot table, meals fresh and frozen. A deli counter, Antipasto table, cakes pies and cookies, fresh breads. I have tried their "Cousins " brand jar soups, they are amazing. The owners are always on top of everything. During these times they were one of the first places I saw that had plexiglass barriers for the cash registers. They are a truly caring company. Taking care about customers and employees the way companies used to. Thank you Cousins Market.
Really nice place to shop.
Cute boutique food market that is very clean. Love that they carry St. Anne's spa granola and homemade bread. Take the spa experience home. They also carry other specialty foods. The biggest draw is the cleanliness and selection. Cousins has been around since I was a kid and deserves our business.
Gorgeous reno! Wonderful family-owned grocer. They stock lots of unique and special items are great prices.
It was ok, very very gourmet but too expensive!
Nice grocery, very good espresso, like in Italy!
Expensive
Super cute grocery store. Service is really nice. And you find some pretty neat finds in here :) brands I've never seen before. I liked it! ;) and they weren't ridiculously expensive
Great slection
Quite a neat gourmet grocery outlet near Port Credit. Check out their deli section for some really nice meat!
Amazing place!! Love their fresh store made soups and meals.
Left this place just today, reason was I wasn't satisfied with the way things were done in this place, the lack of training you get which literally lasts a day, even communication would get me frustrated and I don't like having to chase after people when it comes to finding out my schedule and what not. At times you're on your own but even if there is someone around to help you out on things you haven't been trained on I could always sense some sort of temper depending on who it is you're speaking to, however I did meet some nice people and it was a pleasure working with them for the time being.
Well stocked fresh food prepared and raw.
Great independent grocery store. Fresh fruits and vegetables. Friendly service.
buy all our meat here
A beautiful place to shop! Lots of friendly, helpful staff. Excellent quality products, and their ready-made in-store foods are excellent quality and very tasty! We will definitely shop there often! >^..^<
Excellent fine food shop
The owner is cheating customers. Gus, the owner wouldn't accept that his store was selling expired product. He accused me of lying and refused to accept a full refund or exchange of product that was expired. I'm very disappointed. PEOPLE GET SICK FROM EXPIRED FOOD! I'm appalled that he simply denies that it would be possible from his store and instead accuses me of something. What's most disturbing is HOW he handled it. It's not smart to accuse your customers. Poor customer service. What is he trying to hide?
Local grocery store in Mineola/Port Credit area, very high quality meats - we get all our roasts and steaks here. Not a large store but it has a lot of unique products that you don't find at the big chains. Produce is always fresh and the deli counter is great. Good spot to get a quality lunch instead of fast food.
Nice fresh neat area veggies expensive and not always best quality
Local business that has a great produce selection and bakery. Fresh bagels are a must! It's almost like shopping at Whole Foods except your money goes to a local business rather than an unscrupulous billionaire.
Nice country grocery store
Love this spot. Perfect size, not to overwhelming. Great selection of high quality foods and a nice lunch selection.
I found this market to be pricey staff very helpful though I think its geared more towards organic
Nothing special.....Applemarket in Cooksville is better
Great produce and meats. Lovely meats.
Good food, a little pricey though.
Nice looking vegetables!
My husband and I were hosting a gathering at our house and had the event catered by Cousin's Market. The food was fresh and delicious and beautifully presented on high quality white platters that while plastic, easily passed for ceramic. The service was exceptional! Cousin's Event Coordinator, JoAnne, went out of her way to help us with our selections and appropriate order quantities. Additionally, one of our guests had a fish and nut allergy, so Cousin's prepared our order in a nut/fish free environment. Cousin's delivered the order to our house on time and our event was a huge success. I highly recommend Cousin's Market for any event, large or small.
They have all the organic items that my children need.
What a great family owned company, the staff are very friendly and the products that they carry are fantastic. Everyone needs to shop at this store to see how great they are
Nice place but expensive
Food is really fresh, lots be of choices
What a disgusting scene customers witnessed at Cousins yesterday. With a clear conscience i can say i will never support that store again. I have to question the character of any person reacting in such a volatile and abusive manner to a woman with her baby. Shame on you.
Great selection, deli , produce and lovely fresh fruits
First time in the store today. It's clean, the bakery and prepared food areas had a lot of tasty looking treats, but the prices are higher than other markets. For speciality items I am willing to pay more, but Philadelphia cream cheese was over five dollars a brick which seems pretty steep.
Our first foray ordering Thanksgiving dinner! It was wonderful from the ordering online to confirming with someone in the catering department at Cousins Market and the final pick up! They were organized, the food was delicious and packaged well and the staff were efficient helping you place the order in your car. We had the brussel sprouts and glazed carrots as our sides with mashed potatoes and a ham as extra! The pies from Chudleigh's were tasty as well! All delicious and enjoyed on our family get together! Very nice having someone else cook for a change! Thank you Joanna and Rosa!
Good, but pretty expensive
Expensive but gourmet
Small local mart but pretty pricey and lacks the selection of bigger stores
The store is very nice , however the staff do not greet there customers or offer to ask if you need help. I understand this an affluent area however I have shopped at Pusateri, Longos, Whole Foods, Harvest Wagon and the service appears to be more personable. I think it lacks the shopping experience. A smile and hello to your customers goes a long way.
I called this location by mistake today thinking it was the Nobleton location, closer to where i work. I called and placed an order for two party size pizzas. Thankfully I went into the Nobleton location to grab a few things for myself and asked the owners in Nobleton about my pizza order. They were informed me no order was received by them. That’s when I realized I placed the order at the wrong location. I called Peter at this location and told him I would need to cancel it. He said that was fine and if Nobleton was able to take care of the order for me. The Nobleton location is fairly new, they are still settling everything in and at the moment pizzas are not available there. Peter was so kind enough to help us still receive the pizzas all the way up in Nobleton. He went out of his way to have the pizzas sent uncooked to Nobleton so they can bake it fresh on the spot when we need to pick up. Outstanding customer services received by Peter today! Thank you again Peter:)
Quite an alarming situation at the Cousin's store today. A young woman was standing at the entrance trying to get paid for baked goods her company supplied several months ago. After some aggressive behavior from the owners they eventually came out and handed her a cheque. Pretty shocking behavior on behalf of the owners!
Very good.
Been shopping here for the past year. Quality of food is amazing and the price I find is reasonable. This is not a large chain grocery store which is why they call it a Specialty Store. Don't expect every single item under the sun. The products they have are quality products. It is about quality not quantity. The meat is hormone and antibiotic free and the flavor is so incredible you will not be able to shop at local grocery stores again once you taste their meat. Unfortunately, they do not have these stores everywhere. I believe there is only the one in Mississauga. If I move, I will travel to shop here once a month for sure. One reviewer posted that items are sold near expiry date....that is inaccurate.
Overpriced, could not even buy bread because they ran out of stock.
Limited selection
Maybe a little pricey but the quality is very good
Liked their collection, they do have some unique items
Nice place.
I love shopping at this grocery-market. If I have time I will also stop for a coffee after completing my shopping. The whole store has a warm, friendly atmospshere and it feels good just wandering the store to get to know its products. I was worried that a fairly recent re modeling of the store would change the atmospere but it has maintained its charm and high quality. A few favourite items for.me our their bagels, fruits and vegetables, and deli and prepared food counter. The cup of coffee is a bitpricier than some of the coffee chains but oh so good. They have a wide range of organic, vegan, gluten free and specialty foods.
Very clean place. I went to the produce and veggie section and everything was very clean and organized. I dont know what the rest of the store looks like cuz I was in a rush. From what I have seen, they also have a small patio to sit outside as well. The prices are a tad steep and it looks like a fancy market. Kind of like a higher end Rabba. Good customer service, the registers were open to serve customers quick.
Great everything
Crazy expensive. Nice store but overpriced!
Great food always fresh and these owners take it to the next level with customer service. Been going to cousins for years and it just gets better and better. Keep up the great work guys!
Excellent quality, fresh ???? tasty meals to go...
Prices a little on the high side, but you simply can't beat the freshness of the food available here. The hot food offering is among the best and the store layout is very appealing.
Great produce, butcher, deli, and clean meat,. Great store made sauces etc and prepared meals. Convenient . Pleasant staff
Good quality but a little pricey
Great for pre-packaged and quick meals. It is very expensive but that's what you pay for the convenience. Clean and well laid out store.
Great quality of food & friendly staff! Shout out to “Luch” in Meats who was knowledgeable and friendly. ????
Pricey but quality meat....
Staff is rude and very mean! I experienced racism here. Will not be returning here at all.
Has mustard pretzels
The fruits and veggies are fresh. I love their own brand of pasta sauces. The store is always clean. Friendly staff
I was there as well Shea, and was shocked to see how mangement treated a vendor, with her newborn in tow. Yelling at a women in front of employees and customers shows the lack of professionalism at Cousins. I can't imagine how they talk to thier own employees behind closed doors. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. I will shop elsewhere.
I switched grocery stores during COVID to Cousins. A lot less stressful than shopping at the big stores like Loblaws. While prices are a little higher - it was worth it to have shorter lines, higher cleanliness and better piece of mind. I do wish they would offer more variety for the ready-made items. They seem to only make the same 4 or 5 meals every week. However, they're all delish so give them a try if you haven't!
Amazing food, fresh food, good team of staff and management! Friendly service and helpful. Cousin's Market is THE place to go in Port Credit area.
Still many missed opportunities, but seeing improvements...
Today I called over 10 local grocery stores, inquiring about a specific product. And 'Cousins' was the only one that got back to me as promised. Not only that, but they are actually bringing the product just for me. The person who answered the phone took his time to understand what I'm asking for, and called me back. He was very professional and he clearly stands by the standards and values of the company. His name was Tony, and I must say I was very impressed by the superb customer service I received that I had to share my feedback in writing a Google review. I'm all about supporting local business but also all about customer service.
Ordered Thanksgiving dinner package and it's the best. Wish I have known this place to order Turkey dinner years ago. I am looking forward for next year..
Produce is amazing! Great sausages, pretty nice steaks. Amazing desserts, especially the coconut cream pie if you are willing to spend $20 on a pie. Prepared foods are wildly overpriced.
Great prepared food made onsite
Fresh fruit and produce...and most pleasant staff
Nice place price is high but good product
Amazing little gem in Port Credit Area. High end quality organic meats, lots of imports, gluten free options. Grass fed chickens, amazing bakery section with all sorts of interesting loaves. Extremely vast variety of dairy products, good produce. You pay for quality so just a reminder. Very well kept and organized. They even have healthy meals on the go and Balzac's roasters. I found items I can only purchase at Bulk Barn here and lots of flours, coconut, oat flour, almond etc. Amazing condiment and oils section.
Great selection
Quality food. Great catering, Holiday meals for the family are fantastic
It's neat a little grocery store and well stocked.
Clean, fresh, great selection and wonderful variety of prepared foods.
Have a very limited selection and prices r insanely high. Huge line ups to pay. Would never go there ever again
I wish I could give this place 0 stars, but 1 will have to do. I was there yesterday afternoon and witnessed the same situation reviewer Johanne Tummon did. One of their vendors showed up requesting to be paid for bakery goods she supplied, and had not been paid since May. She had her newborn baby with her and was speaking to the owner, repeatedly asking when she would be paid for her services. After the owner told her to leave, she persisted, and that is when he got right in her face and screamed "Get out!" at the top of his lungs. It was quite disturbing that a large man would scream at a woman with her baby like this in the middle of the store. I will NEVER shop here again after witnessing this behaviour, it was totally unprofessional and disturbing. I'll take my business to the apple market up the street who have a better selection of goods anyways.
Cute little market along the way. Don't be fouled they have a ton of products and a nice bakery section for the size.
Everything fresh, so many different varieties of organic foods. Amazing choices of meat
A bit pricey but great produce and specialty foods and no line ups.
Excellent market- with fresh produce and meats. They also do an amazing job at catering - Their Turkey dinners for Christmas and Thanksgiving are amazing.
Never would visit again
Parking lot was full and hard to get a spot but service was good.
Always a great place to sho
great employees
Great place
I absolutely love this place! It's a bit pricey, but the quality of the items makes it worth it. They also have hormone and antibiotic free meats, which is why i always go there. Good for specialty items you dont see in the regular grocery stores.
Nice high end market. Limited selection.
They have renovated the place seems to very neat and clean and staffs are courteous and well behaved.
Good Ok
Great place... love the new look.
Excellent grocery store
Love the selection. And the fresh baked goods. Love that I can bring my own produce bags too!
Love Cousins....they have the best Margarita pizza and their Cappuccino is good and very reasonable!
This store is a fantastic place to go for lunch. Real food at the hot table ( Veggies, Rice, Noodles...they change it up everyday!. The best part? $6.99. That's like half the price of a greasy Mcdonalds combo. Incredible value and the staff are always friendly.
Nice new store but needs more inventory on shelves and not always run out of soup!
Affordable meats. Pricey but good quality stuff
Fantastic store... great selection even peanut free food... clean and really good variety of ready to eat dinners too.
Cousins food is like walking into a dream. Everything is so beautiful and fresh. Prices might a little more but you pay for quality and cleanesness.
Great location very convenient.
Great prepared food and soups! Produce and other products are very pricey though!
Fantastic local grocery store, fresh produce, friendly staff all around good experience, great place to drop into
Great grocery store in Port Credit just newly renovated and has everything!
There are a handful of customers who shop at Cousin's that do not wear masks and some of them are so obviously well off that they have no excuse to be shopping in person. The company should better advertise their delivery and curbside pickup options. The store aisles are narrow which is unfortunate because of the pandemic that we are in, making it difficult to social distance when traffic is bad and even more unfortunate when you are shopping along side people who won't wear masks. I've never felt more uncomfortable and unsafe at a store than when I was shopping at cousins.
I’ve purchased meat twice from Cousins over a two month span. A prepackaged vacuum sealed chicken, and ground beef on two separate occasions. The chicken, I cooked, ate and was sick from the day after. The ground beef, one package was good, the other expired before the due date. I had to throw out an entire dish because it smelled horrible when I started breaking the meat up. I don’t believe Cousins is storing their meat properly and won’t be purchasing from them again. Good looking produce but definitely not worth the price. This store is for elitists looking to over spend for no reason.
Very nice place to shop but a bit expensive
Cousins is going through renovations and its better now than ever. Quality butcher and a great selection of products without being massive and chain like. My favorite grocery store.
Good selection
Fresh ontario farmed produce
Nice Grocery store
I find this store to be.. uncomfortable? The only people that work here are all white.. there are no people of color?
Great for a quick stop mini shopping. Small town feel. Great selection and quality.
My grocery store of choice! Always sanitized and clean, fresh produce, delicious food cooked daily, friendly staff. Not one bad thing to say about them!
Everything you need fresh food
Great store. Excellent organic meats and products. Excellent sliced meats and a huge variety of fresh made salads. Great fresh produce.
I live in the area and head to Cousins once a week or so. For years it was a great local grocer with fantastic items. Recently... not so much. The last 3 times I have purchased meat it has been rotten. Chicken, hamburgers and most recently a vacuum sealed rack of ribs. The smell was so foul once opened, we had to open all the windows (Ps. Its December), lysol everything and boil oranges and all spice on the stove. I'm tired of wasting money. Get a better policy and procedure in place to review meat products and discard expired items. This is no longer a one off, it's officially disgusting.
Good
Went in to purchase a salad for lunch. The salad had fresh looking lettuce and a few veggies on top, underneath was brown and mushy vegetables. It was as if they were trying to recycle a salad made a few days before. The store is very over priced and product not great.
Clean place and good food
Awesome produce, prepared meals, staff!!!
Cousins Market put a price of 9.99 on a item and made me pay 19.99 for it. Furthermore, when it was told that they put a cheaper price, they insisted that they are all 19.99 which is absurd.
Nice renovation, been years since last time I went in. Looks much better, better selections.
Quality,quality..... Very clean. The prepared foods are amazing! Great selection of Vegan products.
Great. Very reasonable
Absolutely beautiful renovation of the store. I'm NOT paying for their renovation with my purchase though. I used to shop there a lot but haven't since the reno. After I perused the entire store today Nov 22/18, I left empty handed in disgust, and drove over to Metro. I was shocked to see that everything I had interest in to buy at Cousins was at least $3-$5 + MORE than at other grocery stores like Fortinos, Metro, Loblaws, No Frills etc. At every "price shock" I experienced at Cousins, I thought to myself, they must have a lot of waste at this store. I can only imagine what they throw out every week from lack of sales. I live 2 blocks from Cousins but will never shop there again. Way too expensive. FYI I saved $15 dollars at Metro with my purchase today. Good luck Cousins with those crazy prices. Unbelievable! I believe the owner is a dolt.
Wow !! This is a fantastic Market. They have a great selections of ready made and prepared foods. Totally reasonable prices.
The overall store layout was cool but there were flies where they kept the donuts and muffins. Overall the shopping experience was really good and they have very fresh produce.
They should pay closer attention to expiration dates on perishable foods
Overpriced for no reason. Not italian at all, simply a place to be erased from google apps.
If you have low standards and don't mind paying a lot for convenience, this is the perfect place for you- overpriced stale produce, mediocre prepared foods (they cant even get mashed potatoes right); got fresh squeezed orange juice here once because Battaglia's was out, tasted like lemon juice.most of their stuff is made in house which would be fine if they knew what they were doing-id rather support a store bringing in amazing locally made products.save your money and dignity, there are much better options close by if quality and value are important to you
Excellent Supermarket great variety of high-quality and organic foods
A great place to shop for International products and hot and ready to take meals
Very good ????
Great place Great selection!
Love the produce, the baked items, all the prepared dishes ...just outstanding!!
Great place! Worth the drive.
Come here often, nice staff.
It's a cute market with fresh food, freshly baked bread, a food counter, and friendly staff. It can be a bit pricey, unfortunately. But it has a nice atmosphere and isn't generally packed. The food includes cooked food (soups, salads, pastas, baked goods, cakes) and a raw meat counter. There is also a place to seat and eat.
Great little neighborhood market. I made a special trip here as they carry Cakes by Robert in the freezer section. I picked up some lunch from the hot table and it was delicious. Staff was very friendly, place was clean and seemed well priced. Will definitely visit again.
Very friendly staff!
Worked here for a day. Literally the worst first day experience that I have ever experienced, they say that they have changed to have the management be nicer to the staff and customers but in all actuality they dont care about anyone but themselves & the money that they are taking away from you, often times with a marked up or made up price. In one day I was given attitude THE ENTIRE DAY THAT I WAS THERE by the grocery "manager" Erica, who is completely childish and shouldn't be in charge of such a position, shes corrupted with power, manipulative, rude & at the end of the day literally asked me to stay EXTRA UNPAID HOURS TO FINISH MY WORK...... IDK IF YOU GUYS ARE AWARE BUT THAT IS I L L E G A L IN ONTARIO. Please dont shop or attempt to work at this place, theres a grocery store literally 2 minutes away down lakeshore Called Planet Organic Market, go shop there as they will not try & scheme you as a customer.
Love this place! Wonderful selection and quality of produce and meat! The prepared foods have been a life saver and are delicious! Staff are extremely helpful and are always cheerful! Just started shopping here a few months ago and I am obsessed! Great work!
I used to shop there daily but number of issues stop me from going there even though it is much closer to me than other stores. Since the major renovation, the store went downhill big time. I'm usually all about supporting the local stores but this place is a huge disappointment and I have a number of reasons for that: 1- This place is a huge rip off, you can find some of the items more than double the price compared to anywhere else. 2- Their fruits or vegetables are often rotten or have mold on them or they go bad the very next day after purchasing. Considering the prices that they charge, you would expect at least A++ quality. 3- The staff is unhelpful, often ignores the customer or give you an attitude. It's as if you bother them when asking for help. 4- The owner is rude. I've experienced it first hand when asking him about sudden price increases or out of stock items, but also in relation to other customers and staff.
Good pie.
Supper awesome my best place
Expensive but everything is very fresh
You get what you pay for!
good place to shop but a bit expensive
Lots of variety of products. Serves davids tea and Balzac s coffee.
Good service
I was followed around like a thief. I spent 30$ but should have left. I'm a black female made me uncomfortable.
Wonderful selection not always found in big chain grocery stores.
Best and fresh Beretta meat at an excellent price!
Cousins Market was my favourite place to shop, because of their Mushroom soup. A few weeks ago, I bought many bottles of this soup with a prolonged expiration date (until the end of June). I kept this soup in my fridge for maybe two weeks, so I decided to eat one of them today. Unfortunately, all five in my fridge were spoiled because all these soup bottles' caps were initially barely closed. Then I had to throw away five soups. That was the only reason why I have chosen this shop over the others. So have to find another place.
Great service, good products. Tasty ready made food. Only downfall is that it's pricey.
High quality fresh produce
the turkey free nitrates taste smoked ,smoked and should be marked as smoked
Great store, but I find it a bit expensive $$
I have had a number of occasions when they charged me more than the price that was displayed. When I spoke to the owner he was very rude to me, even when I told him I had been spending money at his store for 20 years! Their TRICK is to not put a price on the items so you have no idea it is overpriced, especially the items at the top of the rows that are suppose to be on sale. Good luck with the owners if you have a problem...they don’t care!
Good food, service is great. However, it is a bit on the expensive side and the variety of products is not that extensive. Still a great place for people located nearby with who aren't looking to travel far for their regular groceries.
Good food
Very nice store small but quality products worth money spend
