Great little store and a quick stop if in area. Generally cashiers not too badly backed up with lines. Pricing a bit higher than the larger Superstore in Midland - but typical of any other Foodland.

BUYER BEWARE! If you buy a gift card from Foodland, they will not refund you under any circumstances. I bought $100 worth of nintendo ecards as christmas gift. Turned out to be the wrong cards ( I don't play video games) and now I am out $100. Go straight to Nintendo, don't buy gift cards from a grocery store!

This is definitely a great store - they have really good COVID protocols in place, friendly and knowledgeable staff, the store is kept clean and tidy, mind you, more expensive than some other places around. To be more direct - I really want to thank very much the bakery for their amazing artistic skills, creativity, for each occasion we order and for yumminess into the cake we order for every cake occasion we had over the past few weeks, they require minimal instructions, but the results are always artistic and delicious! So thank you Kim and the crew, you all are doing an amazing job and it exceeded all our expectations.

Plumbed in hot water handwash stations during COVID-19 has made this my primary grocery store. Staff is always friendly, cheese selection is a little light, but easily forgiven for the layout being very covid friendly and able to keep clear of people

We were staying in Tiny at an Airbnb and this was the closest grocer. A bit pricey but there can be some good finds on sale. Store is clean, mall has amole parking and the selection is as good as what we needed for a week's stay. It would have been another 16 min to Walmart or superstore one-way so convenience won over price for us.

Quickly picked up some beverages to have with our meal. Checkout was quick. This Foodland is located in the Village Square Mall. Had to hurry in and out because I'm not driving and someone was impatient.

I was at foodland last week. I had washed my hands, grabbed my cart and did my shopping. On the way home I asked my husband if I had worn my ring (I take it off at home) he said he was sure I didn't wear it. After getting comfy at home, I decided just to check and no ring! I called foodland because I figured it had to have fallen off, after washing and drying my hands. The manager asked me to call back in the morning, but after explaining to him, that it was my wedding rings (I had them soldered together after 28 yrs of marriage) he immediately went into action. We jumped into the car and when we arrived I was told, a fantastic worker by the name of Andrew, searched all the garbage bags and found the rings. I was in tears and even though the restrictions with covid, I had to give him a big hug and a little token of our appreciation. It is so nice to find a place like this, that they would go above and beyond for a customer. Thank you again Andrew and all the amazing staff at Foodland!

In early July, I noticed that the Penetang store was selling equipment intended to encourage binge alcohol drinking including a "Beer Funnel" and cup "Beer Drinking Game". I asked the manager (I think his name was Keith) and the owner's sister (who works there) to remove them from the shelf because they encourage dangerous drinking activities and are marketed toward under-aged drinkers. They told me they would not remove them because the owner brought them into the store himself. I believe if grocery stores are allowed to sell alcohol, they must follow the same rules of conduct as the LCBO who is not allowed to sell products that encourage dangerous binge drinking. The store owner's sister's response to my request to remove the products was that the store can sell cigarettes and they are dangerous so therefore they should be allowed to sell funnels. The month is nearly over and the drinking games are still on sale at the Penetang store. I would like an apology and assurance that these products will be removed from the store. Thank you. P.S. The review should give the option of 0 stars, but I had to select 1 or I couldn't post the review. This store's response to my complaint is a zero.

Foodland in Penetang is always a refreshing shopping experience. That hometown feeling that makes you feel welcome. Always a very friendly staff of wonderful people to make your shopping experience a pleasant one. The variety of produce is always fresh .Every department is exceptional. Nicely situated in the heart of town with great access to parking and good entrance add on has helped alleviate some of the traffic congestion.

I am usually in this store once a week. Very clean & organized. Covid protocol is very well maintained. Staff is always friendly and polite. My only issue is that most lottery terminal close at 8 or 9 p.m. This store shuts there Express line & lottery down at 6. Very inconvenient for many who have to work irregular hours.

Was in penetang this past weekend with a group of friends. This was the only place to shop. Way too expensive, the one night we came we had to wait in line behind nearly 15 people because there was only 1 cashier working. The one morning I was there as well the cashier didn’t even give me my change, didn’t ask for a bag or points card. All 12 of us wished there was another grocery store closer to where we were staying because of how awful this one was

I hate that we have to wash our hands prior to going in. I try to avoid this store for this reason as much as possible. I don't always need a cart, but am forced to take one... I don't want to touch them... Another reason I try to avoid this store. Why not hand sanitizer?

Canada Post is supposed to be open 10-5 and the girl refused to give me my parcel because "we are closed. It's almost 5". It was 4:58 and I also had a cart of groceries. Very poor attitude. Sat Nov 21. I'll shop for groceries at Loblaws from now on.

This is a great store to use - really good COVID protocols in place, friendly knowledgeable staff, the store is kept clean and tidy, albeit more expensive than some other stores.
