Great staff and decent selection but they have no competition this side of town so their prices fluctuate from reasonable to highway robbery. Again your only option in Crescent Heights. If you can, do your shopping on the South end of town and save this location for quick top ups.

Great staff, nice clean and well appointed grocery store, with decent selection and timely seasonal items. My only complaint is they tend to discontinue items once in awhile with no warning. If I knew they were going to stop carrying something I like, I'd stock up. Also, you have to watch prices ... Sometimes items are far more expensive than elsewhere, but usually they're competitive.

Best grocery store in the hat for locally sourced foods. Membership is $5 for a lifetime, but not necessary to shop there. Could use more variety of fresh veggies. Good selection of stuff. The gold house brand is just as good or better then name brand. Prices are competitive.

During the CoVid 19 crisis, watch carefully for the little cicles/arrows showing the direction of travel down the aisles - it can be a bit confusing. Prices were pretty good, and staff were very friendly and helpful.

K, first of all, the sweetest (older lady) answered the phone, and when I asked if she could transfer me to the bakery, she replied with "of course dear, just give me a second" - but it reminded me of how my grandma used to say it so my heart melted. Then Carly answered the phone in the bakery, and with very little knowledge or direction from me, was able to magically decipher what I needed and took care of it all without question, and was laughing and so happy to help. This isn't the closest place for me to get groceries or baking, but with this level of service and kindness, it doesn't matter if I have to drive across town!! So Thank you!!

Shopping here was a joy! The layout was very stylish, and their business seemed quite busy. The team members were definitely bustling around to compensate for this. I saw fresh sushi, and hot foods being prepared and stocked while shopping, and was greeted a number of times. The signage here was large and accessible. Worth switching your weekly supermarket!

Went to the Northlands Co-op Boxing Day. Co-op unsalted butter was marked down to $3.99. When I got to the cash register I was charged $5.49. I told the cashier and went to take a picture of the sign. She called the (manager?) over and he said it was for a different product. I showed him the picture and he brought over a half pound of Lactancia butter and said that was the $3.99 item. He said someone moved the sign over. I said the sign wasn't moved and clearly stated it was the Co-op Gold unsalted butter. He denied it and said it was an incorrect sign and said he was removing it. I asked him if he would honor the sign and he said no. I couldn't believe it. I normally shop Calgary Co-op and have been a customer for over 20 years. I spend thousands of dollars a year and I refuse to shop at this Co-op any longer. I went back to my Calgary Co-op and asked them what they would do. They said they would definitely honor the sign. I now have converted to Safeway in Medicine Hat. Had to give 1 star to post this....i would rather it would be no star...

I like the local produce and products co-op has. The one in the north has an especially good bakery and meat section. Often there is a type of produce I can't find but they do have a good number of special products for vegan or dairy free too.

This specific location is like any other grocery - no complaints about it. Co-op however as a company, doesn't make sense to me. They sell themselves as a local produce support system, but everything is always over priced and not always fresh. I find I get much better produce at the local greenhouses and at a much better price. 3 stars because nothing against the store itself - 4 stars, but the Co-op I would give 2 stars.

Swan valley coop is a decent sized grocery store compared to the stores in the city (i.e. superstore, walmart supercentre). The have fruits, meat and dairy as well as toiletries but not much disposable stuff like plastic spoons and paper plates. If you are looking for kitchen/dining stuff, they have a very small collection so I suggest going to extra foods instead.

I just left the coop liquor store at Northland. I was only in a few moments but they allow three people to come and shop in masked. When I asked why they were allowing people in that were unmasked the cashier called the manager who told me she had the right to choose who she served and she chose to serve people that don’t mask. Until individuals like this see the consequences of their choice on the majority of society I believe we should boycott shopping at these establishments. My mothers much needed surgery was canceled. My child who is under 12 is at risk every day so he can go to school. We have the right to get back to work and get our economy back on track. If you do not want to mask, do not want to get vacancies, stay home and quit making the rest of us pay for your uneducated decisions
