This is one little awesome indoor fruit stand and a whole lot more. Went in for some fresh fruit and corn and bought perogies, cabbage rolls, peppers, pickles and a box set of peachland syrup and jams. Then had a fresh ground coffee and some gelato. Reason for the 4 stars as he finished with me and I paid and walked away another customer purchased a couple of small baskets of fruit and when done with her he presented her with a punch card for discount on future purchase and the card never expires. Not sure if it just slipped his mind for me or what and I was going to go and ask however there was a huge line of people and we had to go so just left it at that. Next time I'll ask about it as there will be a next time it's a neat comfortable place to stop.

This is a great pitstop on the way out to Kenora. We really enjoyed their gelato, it tasted fresh and the flavours were amazing. They also sell tasty looking pastries, coffee, and this would be a great place to buy fruit to snack on while you drive. Staff here are friendly and pass out fresh fruit to try. We made the drive out here thinking this was a bulk fruit stand and I was hoping to buy fruit and vegetables for canning, but this is not that kind of place. It’s more like a delicatessen market. Very beautiful with lots to look at including adorable baby bonnets and handmade jewelry I definitely admired! I agree that the prices For fruit and veggies are reasonable for the most part but I wouldn’t recommend this fruit stand if you are planning to buy bulk. $2 to $3 per tomato.

Clerk was very pushy, and not very friendly. Fruit is over priced. Frustrating that after spending $15 on a small basket of cherries my family couldn’t use their restroom.

I entered the market full of expectations, looking for fresh fruit, a gelato, and water for my bottles - I am biking and it is 29 Celsius out, after all. While ordering, I asked if I could be filled up. The answer was "I have no time for this, buddy". I insisted that I can do it myself, and the answer stayed negative. Okay, we were a few people in the shop, so what? So you know what, forget about it, you won't get my money, the convenience shop next door will be happy to have it.

I was under the impression that it was a local fruit stand, with local produce. I paid over $25 for six pieces of fruit and a pint of cherries. The fruit, plums, peaches and pears, all had stickers ie 'grown in USA' or 'grown in California'. I could have stopped at any major grocery store.

After enjoying the offerings of this fruit market since it’s inception a few years ago, (and spending hundreds of dollars in the process), I was disappointed to be denied use of the restroom (I was planning to buy gelato). The owner blamed the government regulations re:Covid for requiring cleaning of restrooms after each use. So they were not allowing travellers to use the washrooms. Easier on them I suppose, as the owner and 2 staff members literally stood idle in a completely empty store, and I really needed to use the restroom! I whipped over to the Mohawk where there are clean, beautiful restrooms and helpful, welcoming staff. Thank you very much!

Loved this market. So many wonderful home made jams, pickles, rubs, sauces. There is an exclusive array of freezer products. The fruits are fresh and the peaches are to die for! Would definitely take the trip out to Johson's. Recommend to anyone travelling on the No.1 going east, to stop and see for yourself.
