This Fruit Store is included in the category of Grocery store.
Great prices! Clean, bright and cheery.
True to its name, no frills in pursuit of some of the lowest prices I have seen in the city, particularly in produce. The area comes with it's share of troubles, hardly the fault of the store. It is great to see some affordable grocery options available to Northenders again.
Close to home and I seem to always be able to go in and out quickly. Small store but they have a lot of good items.
It's getting better but the selection sucks, the produce is ok at best, the meat dept is tiny and never has what I need. The sale items go as soon as they are put out and they are not replenished. I actually drive to the no frills on Roblin Blvd because it has way better selection and products are much fresher.
I can find everything I need there. I notice some of their pricing on identical products at Superstore are different prices but I do appreciate being able to stop in when convenient to get the products I want.
Good selection, good parking.
It's ok but if you look or clean stores and friendly staff this might not be the best place for you.. but great prices and fast lines
Produce was very dirty and misorganized, mountains of items endlessly falling onto the dirty floor. Someone get a mop in that area. Whoever is doing the closing job for produce is doing it terrible.
The footprint of this store reflects the supermarket sizes of the 1960s and '70s. With slim grocery margins, the shelves need to be replenished pretty much all day every day, to turn the volume needed. Floor staff through checkout staff are friendly, and each seems to know whether they carry a particular item, and where it is. If you don't see what you're looking for on the floor, ask one of the floor staff, and they'll have a look in the warehouse.
I had no been in this particular store in quite some time. That said the store seemed much improved in the areas of organization than I recall. Good job.
I'm always for this store and some deals like what the (beep). 5 KD for a bucks very Canadian eh, very ingredient neutral, chicken and green peppers dish, ground beef and sauteed onions dish, pork and squared spuds with a side of pull pork bbq sauce oh sorry fantastic prices makes ya wanna go down every isle
They had lots of sales on stuff was great their! staff are kind and respectful with joy running threw their heads instead of those really depressing workers you find at walmart.
Not bad sale, but can get very congeste at the tills. They do not have enough registers for the amount of traffic during certain hours. Entrance to the grocery is only 1 person at a time and narrow. Can hardly maneuver cart through it.
Very good quality fresh vegetables unfortunately, there was a young lady working on till three on August 17th we dicided to go shopping in the evening and went through till three and there was a young lady working the till, She purposely kept putting my food on the opposite side the check through. I asked her why she kept doing that and she gave me the most horrible smile.i then asked her to stop then she started pushing my groceries through very fast squishing my bread. I ask who she was they said they didnt know they "think her name is Karen. So sad when young people are taught to hate. Sad customer service. So very sad.
The person in front of etook up both belts with all her groceries. The cashier caught her once taking my stuff. After paying, and she left I saw some of my stuff was gone, bit could only identify my crackers were missing. Got new ones, but at home looking at my bill a few things were taken. Don't want my stuff back, but maybe work out a new system so it doesn't happen again. I can't afford to feed other people, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Yellow and orange peppers scanned at higher price than tag and label. I caught the error; how many others did not and over paid for their produce.
My teacher at luxton always attached his pride to this place and many other places along main street, Superboys, Santa lucia pizza, Tenderloin meat and sausage, Salisbury house, Tim hortons, Winnipeg transit is the worst one because we spent most of the year writing letters to the buses for how "great" they where, also bloomex flowerist. i just hate how he uses all of these companies with such arrogance and how he prides himself on his "connection" with them. he is technically ruining their big reputation. this was just some insider informantion to think about when you visit these locations i have listed.
Wish this store was bigger. Great produce! Great prices keep me shopping in my community. Only issue is slightly limited product lines.
Since I haven't been able to shop for sometime it was good fair prices I thought
Fairly good prices, pretty organized. The cashiers are a little .... sassy.
8:15 AM. Virtually no one shopping. Clean and bright. Staff friendly.
they sell hella good noodles and other good stuff for relatively cheap, saved me a few times lol
Security guard that is permanently stationed is always busy keeping meat thieves from walking off with goods. I guess that's how they keep their prices so low! It's like a small town grocery store, employees are often welcoming
Good Sales. Can have long lines at register. Signing up for 'PC OPTIMUM card" is a must. Must remember to load card weekly to earn points. Can have an actual card or use app on phone. Card is good at different stores owned by PC.
Fair prices Clean Wide variety
Awesome prices! They take the Shoppers rewards card too, Which can save you money if you use points. Bring your own bags though!
This place has turned around for better in the last year. Its much cleaner, and it just feels safer. Good place, shelf are always stocked. Less crowd.
No longer are they messy, dirty and dingy. The stores have been redone inside and out. The staff are available, helpful and friendly. I can find everything I need there. I notice some of their pricing on identical products at Superstore are different prices but I do appreciate being able to stop in when convenient to get the products I want.
Absolutely gross! The store is filthy. The produce was wilted and disgusting. The customer service would barely qualify as a service of any kind. Do not suggest shopping here unless it's dire. The only nice thing about this store were the two security guards that were cleaning and greeting people. The gal at the entrance cleaning baskets was wearing her angry teenager hat and was incredibly rude to all of the customers.
The thing is, I go there to buy generic, PC No Name potato chips more than anything else. Sure I keep my eyes open for good deals, and find them more than not, but the real reason I shop at No Frills is for the cheap chips. Generic Salt & Vinegar chips are so powerful, it’s like giving your mouth an acid bath. Oh, your mouth will be raw...I guarantee it!!! -Friendly -Affordable -Lingual Obliterateration
Generally decent for quick trips for basic items. Limited choices. Staff is generally pleasant. It's inconsistently clean. Sorry to see more and more security.
Went There To Buy Coffee (no name) And A Family Pack Of Baloni And The Prices Went Up. The Coffee Is Now 8.50 From 6.00 & Baloni Went To 26.00 From 20.00. I'm Never Going There Again!! Not Happy With The Price Hike ????????????????
Literal hell on earth last time I went. The cashier we had was super slow and it was so busy. You could tell she couldn't care less. The people that shop there are super grumpy too, got to listen to a Huffy Hilda while we waited in line. Overall decent place but checking out is always a pain.
Great place to shop for groceries! Store is clean and items are well layed out. I am able to pick up my groceries during the weekend day quickly and leave the store. Staff are very helpful too and will advise on items which may not be on the shelves! Keep up the great work and thanks for your hard work during these trying times!
There was a shortage of carts there people were just fishing for carts other then its a good place to shop got good deals on things and they Beatrice milk and to me Beatrice is the only good milk
Always great price's
Cell reception blows goats. Only very basic selection of items.
Love this place, in and out real quick! Support local!
all you need in a reasonably priced store. Keep in mind that it's a division of the loblaws food group so some things are still expensive. I also don't care for the fact that bags required are 5 cents, unless you bring your own.
I had a floor walker follow my wife and I around the store the entire time we were shopping! Around 30mins into shopping, I asked if I could help him with anything & he replied with "No I'm just looking". We shopped for roughly 2hrs. The …
I loved No Frills in the beginning. They were wonderfully cheap and I wanted to know where they had been all my life. They changed. Rapidly. First some of the things I regularly used were constantly out of stock. Then I noticed the price hike. Then the prices came down. Then they shot back up. I'm not impressed anymore. I live on a fixed income. I cannot afford prices that go up and down like Donald Trump's moods.
The service is always half there, but great deals, longest lines I have ever been in.
Just like the name says, no frills but plenty of deals. I do the bulk of my grocery shopping here and get to accumulate PC points as an added bonus. ????
Conveniently located across another shop, a fast food restaurant, and bank! Right on Main Street, about 5 minute to 10 from downtown, it is a good place to get your heavy to light load of groceries!
I love to go shopping in No Frills ❤
Not impressed. Drive around from to shop to save money. Why put stuff on sale if u dont have it in stock. Be careful of ehat u want there cuz they probably wont have it. Thanks
Many different choices of foods, clean 9lace friendly staff!
No Christmas Decoration, no " Merry Christmas " wishes from the Cashiers again this Year, Well , we don't want to offend some people , right? .Hope you sell a lot of Halal Food , cause you " fine" people won't get a nickel out of me ever again. I just go up 2 blocks, on the west side, very nice Christmas Decorated Grocery Store, makes me feel welcome, Merry Christmas, if i'am still allowed to say that, LOL,
Just as the name implies. It's an off shoot of loblaws with the same pricing as Superstore. You need to know your prices. Takes PC points. Store was clean with moderate selection of brand names. Cashiers were friendly and efficient. Bring your own bags!
Ive always loved No Frills. Those deals are maddeningly good. They may not have everything but the items they do have are priced fairly, especially the daily/weekly consumption groceries.
This store tends to be lacking in every quality possible except for the one security guard who has been there since the beginning; he's always helpful and smiling!
I love the closeness to my place and bus stops, price and some more selection could be better. But I do enjoy shopping here overall.
I am always impressed when I go there. They try their best to make sure the place isn't crowded. The aisles are usually very clean. I'm glad they offer to clean the cart and hand sanitizer at the door still. Keep up the great work you guys!
My cashiers name was Emma and she made my entire experience at this store so uncomfortable. She was staring at me the whole time I was shopping and when she rang me up at her till she was completely rude, talking to me like I was dumb and …
Fantastic price for basic commodities. Selection is pretty basic but priced well.
Not that busy when I was there..customers did social distance and staff were friendly...prices were good for what I bought
we tried to make a point to go to this grocery store when ever we can. We always find that our shopping is quicker, and our bill is lower than if we go elsewhere. However, if we want an unusual item, we don’t expect to be able to find it here.
One of the better grocery stores. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. The store itself isn't too big, but has everything you would need. Plus it's always clean there. Sometimes it could be packed and there can be a wait to check out. Especially during the weekends and right before closing time. Food is always fresh and if you want good deals, this is the place to go. Also helps that they take the Optimum card.
The line went around the store, on top of the line outside. The no-name chips only ever have 2 flavors stocked out of the 6.
Good selection, friendly staff...it would be nice if they stocked smaller packs of fresh chicken breast instead of the club-sized ones.
Not too bad They run social distancing to a T.????my son who is a single father likes to do his shopping there for everything they need.
Excellent NoFrills, one of (if not) the best one in the city. Clean, good prices and selection.
This visit was ok this time. A lot of the items that Id love to be able to buy there just isnt there. I guess the store isnt big enough. I honestly would rather go to Superstore before no frills which is owned by loblaws as well..
Not bad, I do prefer the Giant Tiger next door in terms of price and brands, though No Frills certainly has more overall grocery selection. Would definitely go here for the items they don't share in common.
Good products, good prices, but last time we were there, they only had one cashier open, and she was so slow. Be prepared to wait in line.
was able to find most items. there were a few items that were not available. staff was friendly. thank you. take care.
I like shopping at this location. It's smaller, well marked with arrows & doesn't feel crowded. And Modern Coffee is nearby for takeout coffee! Good incentive to do my grocery shopping.
Goood place to shop...always fast friendly service..helpful too!!
They do not keep an adequate stock of sale items on hand. If it's a good deal, you must be there when the store opens. They DO NOT issue rain cheques. It borders on fraudulent advertising and consumers have filed complaints.
Great little store. Nice and clean, and friendly staff!
The condition parking lot is pretty bad, especially during snow. But apart from that, the experience of shopping inside is great!
Decent prices, lots of parking friendly staff. Store is a bit smaller than most grocery stores and selection is limited, but has all the basics.
What a crazy busy place!! I stopped in to grab a veggie tray, i left with out one because the ones they had were not very appealing. But they did have rice pudding in the larger containers so i didn't leave empty handed. Was surprised when the cashier asked if i wanted a bag. Pretty hard to carry six items in my arms. Lol. I guess not having someone to put groceries in bags is part of "no frills " personally i prefer some frills. I guess, a smile and hello from the cashier is a frill too!
This place felt terrible. As I walked in, there 3 people asking for donations, the floors hadn't been cleaned in what seemed like a few days and there were 4 more people asking for donations as I walked out. I get that some organizations require donations to function, but to have that many people set up in your store....?
Uncomplicated grocery shopping (they now have self check-outs). They don't take all credit cards, but have a wide selection of fresh foods and household needs at good prices.
Great deals on groceries. And the security are very friendly.
Very polite staff, great prices and peaceful shopping times before noon
This is a great store to get more bank for your buck. Fresh food and produce at an affordable price. No distractions. Some stores distract you with clothes, cosmetics and endless gadgets. Save money by not being lured into the marketing of other products.
Mini Supperstore version of extra foods. Decent deals on everyday items, good produce. Not super busy, nice for a quick shop.
Was well stocked and cashiers moved quickly through the line.
Always a good place for food
I love this location. The wait time isn't too long. This store always has sales, I went in today and bought some meat, veggies, juice and salad stuff and it was all under $30. I was expecting the price to be a lot higher. I will be back. Its nice to have a no frills in the area.
Everything I needed was there, and excellent pricing, staff was helpful and knowledgeable
The people working there are ok but the cashiers are terrible if you want to use your points and if you forget about it until the last minute you're out of luck if they bring your stuff through and then you present your points card they …
I always seem to find a deal in this place especially on their meats
The products here are fine. Until you get to the cashiers where the lines seems to be out of control. I saw 2 fights while waiting in line. The store should have opened more tills or better organization.
Cashiers were super slow and I know it's cUsenof the pandemic, but this is one of my favorite locations to get groceries.
Always loved this place. There is way more better stuff here then any other no frills that I have went to
Allot of bare spots on the shelves, and cashiers chit chat too much to each other so don’t ask you for your points card - and tell you it’s too late to acknowledge your card afterwards Am I supposed to walk around the store with it in my hand so it’s ready at the checkouts?
An excellent little grocery store with really good prices. Although the staff are very helpful, they are not all that friendly. They have a small organic and health food section which is much appreciated for people with gluten intolerance or just looking for a healthier option. They often have sales or reduced prices on items that makes it more appealing to shop there.
The staff does their best to keep up with the disrespectful customers that don't understand how to respect a store layout and appreciate good service. I wouldn't go back due to the quality of customers this location attracts.
Awesome deals on stuff especially for chili chili burgers and chili dogs all the can stuff a dollar
Groceries are affordable in comparison to pretty much everywhere else. However it is not fancy and basic. There isn't a deli counter or anything of that nature. It's simple shopping
Good prices on SOME select items. Never enough cashiers. Yesterday when we are experiencing a Polar vortex outside exit doors are open while repairmen fix something. Poor cashier needed a jacket! And MASSIVE delay at checkout because of some update to President Choice plus data base or some such thing. REALLY? During peak store hours?????
No frills is usually the best place for groceries. Frozen foods, pasta ,and sometimes meat are a great bargain. This no frills is small and the aisles are tight, so be prepared for a wait in line.
Half the time when I go to the store there is a few empty shelfs and I have to ask about the products I want and they say we don't have any more left.
Overall a good layout and selection for a discount grocery store. Because it is smaller some discount items are out of stock. Since this is one of the few grocery stores in the area, it can get really busy.
It is a typical large grocery store. Fresh produce is above average quality. As it is a big store, it has pretty much everything you need from a grocery store and has plenty of parking spots. Prices are average and they charge you for plastic bags so bring your own bags if you don't want to pay extra.
Lines can be long at times but the deals are always helpful and staff is decently mannered, wont go out of their way to help but always there when needed
Nice big store. Clean and covid safe.
You are treated like cattle in this place. Not only do you have to line up just to get in, the owner, in his infinite wisdom, prevents you from using the self check-out if you are using a grocery cart. This means another long line-up behind the total morons with 3 items waiting for a cashier just to give them your money.
Decent. Went to buy Melona popsicles that were on sale for a darn good price to find they were sold out of one flavour and this location doesn't even sell 2 of the other flavors I was looking for. I wished places that charged for bags would offer a discount for bringing your own bags. I think it would help eliminate just some if the plastic pollution we have. Food for thought.
It's good if you just need a few basics, be careful with the pricing I find sometimes they can be as much as $3 more than Superstore. Good selection not great. Fruits and vegetables can be iffy as far as quality you really have to watch.
Enjoyable place to do my grocery shopping. Good prices, and the sales are pretty decent as well. The new 20 item limit at the self checkouts kind of bites the good vibe in the arse though, I get it, but why not just educate instead of eradicate. Being able to get my shopping done at my own pace is what I enjoy and this limit knocks me into the wait with everyone else line which means my own pace is out the door. Unless I get the cart full trips done elsewhere? Still enjoy the store though, keep up the good work! Please remove the 20 item limits!??!
People need to smarten up about social distancing. If I need to start walking around with a tape measure in there I'm going to stop shopping there
No frills , is just that " No Frills" . It is in the name. Still more cashier's are needed.
Be prepared for a very long wait at the cahiers desk if you arrive on Child Tax Benefit Day, especially if it coincides with dollar days. Argh...I was tempted to leave my basket at the store. There could be scheduling improvements. This store is not the cleanest of the NoFrills locations in Winnipeg. Not sure if I will stop at this location again.
The lines move quickly, and they have great prices !
Always a decent place for a decent deal. Some items are alot more then superstore and considering its basically same company it would be same price.
Great place for groceries. Quiet and not busy. Good prices.
Love this store! Always great deals and we have been able to cut our shipping costs almost in half. To make things better they also ad match so you dont have to go around to different stores
I'd rather go to a different location other than the one in the North end It's not very clean and very dirty
Always great service. The cashiers are awesome. Love the produce guys they are so helpful and store is nice and clean.
Worse store ever only go for points but now will go the extra way . No frills on Main.. I'm at Cashier she asked if I collect points did the card thing and I proceed to now go and start packing my food and the cashier says to me no you still have to pay... well duhhhhh. .. everyone starts packing their food and she thought I was walking out without paying and to top it off my food is still there to ... Like what the f** k... Couldn't believe how I was treated and don't know why.... is it because I was Metis like really. . Was very Insulted. ....
certain things you can get hear that you cannot get anywhere else I have dairy allergies they do have lactose cream cheese and the prices are very reasonable
This no frills is one of the better ones in Winnipeg. It's large enough to have everything you need , plus a nice centralized location. I wish they had some parking lot detail to keep some of the beggars away.
They'll kick you out if you don't wear a mask.. I've been a regular shopper for 5 years here. Unfortunately I'll be going elsewhere from now on.
Store is run just great. Clean and physical distancing is mo problem. Enjoy getting my essentials there. Thanks for keeping customers safe.
The Staff... From Owner Casey Hellard to his cashiers and stockers.....all are friendly, more than helpful, cheerful and pleasant to talk to.....and not just about …
I regularly shop here. Obviously doesn't have the variety of a superstore or something, but they have all the staples and then some. Reasonably priced. Wheelchair accessible entrance, COVID concerned and maintain precautions, also has seniors shopping hours for the vulnerable.
Usually busy, good luck getting the popular sale items, feels like a bait and switch scheme. Not enough registers as well. Okay for everything else, prices are reasonable.
I love no frills and there fruut is so good and fresh.. thank you snd great low prices
Well-stocked, friendly service.
Wonderful selection, especially in the produce department. Everything was fresh, well stocked and clean. The prices were awesome. Staff were very helpful as well, especially in Produce and self checkout!
Not to busy if your impatient
The store is very clean and tidy. The unobstructed wider aisles are kept clear which makes shopping a pleasure. I was there during the after work rush and the checkouts seemed well manned as the lines moved quickly. Lots of free parking.
Great place, super staff BUT Andrea forgot to ask for my PC OPTIUM points card. Maybe she was distracted by my good lokings?
Big store, great selection of products. They had everything we wanted
Everyone praises these stores like they are the second coming. My issues (with this location specifically) 1)fruit flies all over the apples 2)limited and missing key ingredients in produce. No lemons or limes, no lose oranges $4 for cucumber. 3) floor was dirty 4) limited selection of cheese and bread 5) isles arranged weirdly, unrelated items beside each other 6) deals arnt consistent across locations. I guess all of these could of been resolved, however the first 3 shouldn't ever happen
Always a good place to shop
Prices were good, the bathroom disgusting..smells like urine and hasn't been cleaned in forever. They leave boxes and stools in the already tight aisles...and my cashier was a moron.
Staff friendly and helpful. Good selection of moderately-priced merchandise, given the relatively small space! Often great weekly specials. Great to have a reliable grocery store in this local neighbourhood.
A few really good deals each week and good prices in general. Only problem is the lines are always so long. Often go just for a few things and the express line like all others usually takes easily 5 minutes.
Really good prices and some nice blow out sales but watch, some items can be a bit more than Superstore (same parent company). Hardly the most glamorous shopping experience, but it is called No Frills.
Terrible experience. Doors wouldnt close because of the weather...poor cashiers were freezing. And not a shopping cart or basket in sight. Only 2 tills were open, and was very busy... duh, its Sunday. I literally couldnt shop so we walked out. I'll stick to my charleswood location.
All the workers here are extremely friendly as well as the security guards. I am glad for this store in the neighbourhood.
security guard let a man berate the cashier with impunity, and only showed interest after i spoke up for her....it seems light skinned men are allowed to do anything they want and are protected regardless of reason in this store. get new policy for your guards. i dislike shopping here because i know i am not considered a worthy person and could be attacked at anytime by anyone...provided they have lighter skin than me. very uncomfortable shopping here. 3 stars because they are the only food shopping store within walking distance.
Overall good store, but the security is horrible. I get followed down every aisle while I shop with over $400 worth of stuff in the cart, as if I'm taking the whole cart out. And while I get followed I watch the real thieves still lol
I was there other day. And the line was long. Which ended in frozen produce. There was only two cashier at the moment. It didn't help that there was only 10 mins before closing time. On the plus side I was able to get all of my groceries.
