Good place for South Asian people and particularly Muslims because they sell Halal meat. A bit overpriced but considering the limited options in city, guess it’s worth it. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. Edit: It’s expensive compared to other options in the city so do your homework before going there. As for the meat, Tuesday and Friday are the days you should go. Else a big NO! For meat, Madina is a good deal.

The amount of positive reviews for this store is surprising. I’ve experienced horrible customer service here. I ordered a grilled chicken which was burnt, I asked if they could consider giving me a discount because it was burnt but they denied and ignored the fact that their product was bad. Overall a horrendous place to shop there are a lot of other ethnic stores who treats their customers with respect. AVOID THIS STORE.

I have been going to this place for about ten years and have known all previous Owners. The meat business is tricky. What if they buy all frozen meat and then the thaw it. You would think it is fresh but it is not. This place actually buys fresh and does not freeze meats. Plus they are working with slaughter houses and do it themselves. I know if Toronto, they used to play a recording when they slaughter. They put halal label and done. So there is too many variables. But I personally know that this place follows all and spends lot of time and energy in making sure that you get what should. Hope that helps some people out there thanks Naseer Chaudhry

I went many times here , but the service is very bad , last time when i went with my husband, we were first there and some people came after us; the man behind meat started working with others and let us waiting, we felt disrespectful and it was the last time we’ll visit. Just bc you have halal meat it doesn’t mean you can treat people the way you want plus I always asked my husband to drive me there even when he was tired. Really very upset Plus I notice that they serve first their people from their country first no matter what if you were first or no, DISRESPECTFUL

They replied : They have 2 types of HALAL. 1) Automated Machine slaughter(Slaughtered with tape recorded :BismillahiAllahuakbar) 2) Hand slaughter by (Muslim - in person ) I was initially confused because I had never heard about anything machine slaughter like that before. But I request our brother and sisters if their is a demand of hand slaughter meat the owner may or will be happy to order because Halal chicken is little expensive. Please feed our generation authentic halal chicken as our Prophet S.A.W had did. However , Its your choice. But it is the best Grocery store in Town..

People walking from outside should not be allowed to enter the meat preparing and cutting area, against health inspection policy, prices do not match with computer input and is very time wasting and inappropriate to contest with the cashier who insists that she is right.
