This Fruit Store is classified in the category of Organic shop.
They are refusing to serve customers with medical exemptions. Honestly, disgusted!
Lovely new store. Disappointed to hear they are not carrying Graham's Groves frozen fruit pies anymore!
My favourite seasonal market for organically grown foods.
Best local food market I've been to in winnipeg!!
Truly a special place! I will be back! Reasonably priced local produce.
Want the best quality food while supporting your local farmer? Then you NEED to go to Crampton's! Every time we purchase food, we are literally voting with our dollar. The more local food producers we support, the better our health, economy and land. Win-win-win. Also, they are incredibly nice and helpful. I don't eat grains yet I go out of my way to eat their cinnamon buns. The BEST!
Love everything about this place. Great source of local products.
Favourite place to shop local produce.
Great place, friendly staff, fresh foods!
Great little shop, can be pricey but lovely
Really crowded and not wheelchair accessible (while there is a ramp, the door is difficult to open).
One of the best local markets I have been to. Owner's and staff are very informative and friendly. Food is as local as possible. Best cinnamon bread and buns around!
Super!
Love this place! Fresh, local produce!
Love the coffee and cinnamon rolls!
The prices are a little too high, but food is good
Excellent fresh local produce and above average products . Great service.
Fabulous place, great cinnamon buns
The best produce (with a focus on local and organic) and an amazing in-store bakery.
Always have lots of amazing organic and local produce as well as freshly baked goods
Great produce and items available, but can be a little over priced.
Great selection of local stuff and organic. Love the whole clove garlic bread and Manitoba strawberries.
Great place to get fresh locally grown produce
Such a great place for local produce and locally created goods! The cinnamon buns are AMAZING!
friendly staff and lots of local organic options
Just to educate the operator of this store and its employees, the regional bylaws absolutely do state that masks should be worn, but they ALSO state that exemptions are allowed. The store cannot discriminate. This very act of picking and choosing who you allow and don't because you believe you can - only abolishes any standard of conduct as presented by the bylaw and it's purpose of creating a benchmark for business practices. If operators throughout Ontario can make whatever calls despite what the bylaws or Ontario Human Rights Code states, we will have discrimation everywhere at the discretion of operators. Let's make a few things clear , masks exemptions ARE allowed. Mental anxiety, vertigo, ptsd, clausterbhobia, feeling short if breathe, asthmatic are some reasons why one can be mask exempt. Physically medical reasons do not have to be the only reasons. It is NOT constitutional to discriminate. Had the patrons been vaccinated (which is unknown) , would it have made it okay for them to be maskless? Choosing which medical mandates you choose to respect or not respect are acts of segregation. What that means is that they don't have the right to discriminate against people who choose to exercise their mask exemptions. Under the public health bylaws there is a place for those who choose to exercise that exemption. Operators cannot go around ignoring it like it doesn't exist. Even more baffling is that the statistics over the course of the last year in regards to this pandemic show no signs of it being such. Operators have NOT done their research and just blindly following unscientific nonsense. Masks are ineffective - a false sense of security! Danish scientists did a clinical study proving mask inefficacy. Peer reviews published in the Lancet and New England Journal of Medicine model the same. Our health minsiters and the cpso are being investigated for coercion and called out pushing censorship but retail operators blindly follow their mandates. Unbelievable. They should do their due diligence as operators and realize that they are making calls over unscientifically based mandates in our government.....dividing Canadians. Despite what the media is feeding us and what the government is mandating, the numbers/statistics (not cases) show the contrary to a pandemic. The store owners are operating as enforcers based on lies. These operators have no idea that the very laws they enforce will drive their own families and their own children into a future that looks like communist China. I am not sure why that is the life they choose to live currently or in the future. Not to mention with the current email exposé of Dr. Fauci who is the lead expert in North America on this issue of the pandemic, his email has exposed that to his own colleagues he wrote "masks are ineffective". He too is under heavy investigation. I hope the store operators read what I'm writing and understand the detriment of the actions that they are taking by forcing people to wear a mask both to the community and their own business'. Rather than fighting this miniscule mask battle with your customers (because masks do less than half a percent % to prevent any virus from spreading and do more sociological/physiological harm than good), put that energy in being truly Canadian and respecting people's rights!!!! Our veterans fought for them, please have some respect. I am not an anti-maskers as much as I am pro-true-science, pro-truth, pro-face, pro-smiles, pro-choice, pro-freedom, pro-oldnormal, pro-humanity.
The staff is great, the idea is amazing, but I feel like the food is overpriced for produce and other items that are all sourced locally. With that said, they have a great little ice cream window that's perfect for a treat with the family.
Nice place but a bit overpriced
Friendly, helpful staff. Love the selection of locally grown fruits & veggies. The pies they make are delicious
Neighborhood Staple. Great rhubarb.
Great produce
Only complaint is it seems to have less selection than the old location. Customer ser6is always good and so is the produce.
A challenge to get to by well worth the effort.
Good food
(Translated) Small shop for local products at very high prices. The products are good, but there is very little choice. Meat is sold only frozen. (Original) Petite boutique de produits locaux à prix très élevé. Les produits sont de qualité, mais il y a très peu de choix. La viande est vendue uniquement congelée.
I'd could write a book on why I love Cramptons...chapters would include; "Supporting Local", "The Importance of Fresh", "Why Organic", "Feel Like Family", and "King of Selection ", among many others. Just do yourself a favor and go there. You will be ecstatic that you did.
Love this Market!!! From the fresh and local produce to the amazing bakery and all of the fantastic staff that makes you feel like you are a valued shopper everytime you are there!!
Great corn!
Great produce boxes!
Sad to see the original location close and move so far away.
This place makes me happy
What's a fun visit. Staff are very friendly sand helpful
Cramptons is wonderful. The produce is always changing because the bring in the freshest crops. Lots of local groceries and the bakery items are really good
Natural food grown locally great selection
We’ve sampled the cinnamon buns, and homemade breads and they were wonderful. The strawberry - rhubarb pie was not bad, but it could have used more strawberries in the filling which was mostly rhubarb. It was a tasty pie nevertheless. Hopefully the Headingley municipality will improve the road safety at the market as it can be difficult to leave the parking lot due to the busy traffic.
Great place to stop for farm fresh yummies. Their bakery is also amazing
Super awesome organic market - fresh fruit and vegetables, grass fed organic beef, tons 'o stuff!
Fresh produce, wonderful staff and we love going to get ice cream cones on the weekend.
Nice, year round but a tad pricey on basic grocery items
Very friendly staff and wonderful products!
Good food, good people, great service.
Great place for local fruits, veggies, and snacks. They also have CSA boxes and meal kits available. The staff is always friendly and helpful.
Can't believe that in today's day and age and the amount of information out there that you discriminate against people with disabilities. Please read the ENTIRE mask mandate which at the bottom says you MUST accommodate those with medical exemptions. If you do you are breaking the Ontario Disabilities Act, the Ontario Human Rights Act and discriminating. Refusing someone is the same as refusing based on skin colour. Please do the right thing and educate your staff!
What's not to love?! Always get a treat from the bakery.
Fresh from the farm. Can't wait for the CSA to start up.
Hours not convenient
Bought two pies last week to share with friends while at the lake. Strawberry rhubard and Saskatoon. Both were DELICIOUS!
Wonderful selection of fresh produce, baking, and artisanal products! Highly recommend! Don't miss trying the Pioneer Bars, they are delicious!
Fresh produce, excellent pies. Friendly staff. Covid-19 rules applied (very good).
I love this local market! Fresh vegetables, fruits and the most delicious baking! The staff at this market are unbelievably friendly and will help you with any questions you might have. Probably the best cinnamon bun you can buy in the city. They even have an ice cream window during the summer months. Highly recommend coming here.
Pricey. And didn't see any fresh meat available only frozen.
Fresh local grocery items. A bit expensive though
Superlative. Friendly staff, wonderful produce and awesome bread.
Fresh local produce, fabulous service, knowledgeable and helpful staff, and ice cream! One of our favourite stops in Winnipeg!
Great selection of interesting and unique produce. The baking and coffee are fabulous. It's all good.
The new store is beautiful and had great veggies and baked goods. Miss the ice cream from the old location
Excellent food market with a great variety of fruits, vegetables, and other tasty foods. The baked goods and different dips we tried were all great! Staff was friendly and service was quick. I appreciated that the staff were all wearing masks, and that they ensured we were as well ????????
The place had very little selection. I don't really understand what others here are saying. It appeared to just be a much smaller vita health, but with much higher prices. Also the location is oddly tiny, given that it is in the middle of nowhere.
Great service and selection of fruits, veggies and Canadian made products.
I tried to buy a an 'ethical meat box' from this grocer, they seemed willing to accommodate my request for a bison exclusive box. However when I asked how much meat would actually be in the box to figure out how much the meat would cost per pound they refused to answer. I'm not sure if they just don't know how much their own meat costs or if they're over charging but I would caution other buyers to be wary of buying that particular product.
Beautiful new location. Friendly staff. Local fruit and vegetables. Year round farmers market. Lots of parking. Expect to pay more for local grown. Amazing bakery. This shop has more than just food. It won't tell you everything you have to come out as see for yourself. But, you won't be disappointed.
Great local vegetables, meat, and baking! I love the friendly staff (even got a cookie)! Prices are a little bit high, but you know that you are getting local foods.
Lots of fresh products! Friendly staffs with great service. Bakery and ice cream are great!
Great spot produce is local and bakery is top notch. The prices can be a little on the high side but the product is high quality.
Good place to shop at.
Pricey but great quality stuff
Great bakery and lots of fresh local produce Going to miss this place
Great local goods, and they are doing an excellent job of utilizing safety measures for Covid19 prevention.
Most fresh fruits, veggies and bakery.I loved it. Will shop from here everytime. Very nice employees as well. Must visit.
OMG! The cinnamon buns and raisin bread,my staples and a new favourite..bacon chees quiche
Good quality products but incredibly overpriced!
Lovely market with locally grown and organic product. Great staff, and nice grain fed meat. Ice cream in summertime and fresh bread....oh the fresh bread....
Fresh produce, variety of frozen meats, local bakery and friendly service. Ice cream shop with outdoor seating available. Free parking and bike racks.
Good quality, friendly staff, but they don't accept credit cards and it's somehow expensive
Great selection, but high prices. Also out of the way as I don't have a car. The CHEEKY CHUTNEY IS AMAZING THOUGH so worth it
At here you can get fresh and organic vegetables
I love going here for seasonal fruit, eggs, and the occasional baked good. I follow them on Instagram, and the owner makes amazing insta-stories about organic produce. It’s unfortunate that they are moving their business to Headingly! When I was a university student, it was convenient for me to take the bus there for my produce. Now that I drive, I often will stop by after work. With their new location, I’m not sure how often I would be able to make it out there. My only critique (and perhaps they can change this for their new location), is that their only options to pay are with cash or debit card only. One time I was there, I completely forgot about that and only had my Visa card on me. Otherwise, they will be greatly missed at the Waverley location.
What a lovely space their new home is. Liked the old place but love the new one better!
Not happy! I missed the preorder for turkeys (my fault) but, was told there were 5 extra turkeys held for selection changes on the preorders and they they could not be reserved and would be sold first come first serve Friday morning. I took time off work drove over 45 minutes and was the first one in the door, but was told they had already been sold. Now how could that be possible if you were not allowing them to be reserved. You wasted my time and money. No sorry not even any concern for the bad information given and time wasted. I’ve gotten my turkey here every year for many years. Very disappointed. Don’t tell customers this information and not come through. I don't think I will be back due to horrible customer service.
Fresh and local
Lots of fresh selection of fruits and veggies. Also great bread.
The staff is always friendly and the produce is top notch.
There was a Porsche and corvette and pacifica and range rover outside so I think mostly rich people come here to shop. Good store and people
Great new location and lots to choose from. I love this place. Please keep it clean.
I love Crampton's Market. My only issue I ever had with here is how far the shop was from my home. Luckily, if you go on their website you can order their Food box and have it delivered to you all summer/ fall! The variety is incredible. I ordered last year the gourmet full size box and have had so much fun cooking.
Always friendly staff, great selection of organic natural and local
Jenn D the new general manager is extremely ignorant, rude and narcissistic. The owners would be so upset if they found out the way she acted. Do not support Cramptons Market they chose to fire semi finalist Cryssi L from Master Chef Canada who created all the wonderful soups, spreads, party packages and meal kits. This is a poor move on their part and it is very unprofessional to fire someone over personal matters. If your planning a party or grocery shopping DO NOT SUPPORT THEM! ALSO FIRE JENNIFER CRAMPTONS, HER REPUTATION IS NOT WHO WANT WORKING FOR YOU ESPECIALLY WITH HER PREVIOUS HISTORY!!
Best cinnamon buns ever, great staff too.
Discrimination is not a good look. Be better.
It was my first time there .very nice and fresh produce and fruit. I expected the prices to be crazy there but they were pretty reasonable. I will be back
Very nice
My visits to Cramptons never dissapoint. There is always a great selection of fresh and frozen items and the bakery is excellent. The whole clove garlic bread is sooo good. And the staff is always friendly and helpful.
Excellent seasonal variety and quality produce. Well worth a stop if you are planning a good meal. Take a cooler, you'll need it!
Amazing, positive and upbeat staff, great fresh produce. A great way to support local businesses. Try to resist the baked goods!
Nearest thing to a Whole Foods in this province!!! Thank God!!!!
Nice place
Liked the old store better especially the location, on my frequent flight path. Will probably never get back out there again.
Well run place and friendly staff
Great fresh product
oh I need some herbs, and I tried their fresh fruit, very good! They also have a bakery in which I highly recommend the cinnamon buns! Staff was very friendly as well!
We are so lucky to have Crampton's move to their new location. It's a lot closer to where I live and I am thrilled. I've gone multiple times and their selection is wonderful. I'm not sure if I'm out of touch with the Farmer's Market concept, but it does seem a little bit pricey for local produce. The quality is high though. I get quite a few veggies and fruit from here as well as lovely flower bouquets they have on rotation. I try my best to ignore the cinnamon rolls on my way out, but they get me almost every time. Don't forget to bring your reusable bag. Staff is super friendly and helpful.
Friendly staff, great location and very conscious of all social distancing guidelines.
Ordered coffee, the cup was only 3/4 full.
Excellent service. Great selection of fresh produce, and baked goods.
Amazing store, produce is always fresh and fairly priced, very friendly kind staff, our family always looks forward to visiting, thanks for everything you do for the community!!
Friendly people; just small selection and way too pricey
Butter tarts were pathetic all crust gross filling no raisins or nuts over priced same with the cinnamon buns just dough with cinnamon no brown sugar gooeyness or raisens. Bought both yesterday and both went into the garbage. Will not be going back.
Fresh produce with lots of local selection. Amazing bakery and unique / local products. The service is also consistently friendly which makes Crampton's a unique and pleasant place to visit!
Stopped in there on the 17 October 21. We bought 2 jars of Manitoba Maid jams for $8.99 each. I also bought a Grass Fed Ribeye for $26+ per pound as a treat expecting it be awesome. It wasn't!! I BBQ'd it for 5 minutes a side, medium heat as I always do. It was still bright red inside, was tough, chewy, grizzly and tasted off. I cooked another 10 minutes and the meat stayed bright red, like it was dyed or something. I cook cheaper rib eye steak every week and this was probably the worst steak I've had in years. I can't imagine a grass fed animal producing such utter garbage. There is something funny there for sure. Also, we stopped in at J&H down the street for eggs and saw that they were selling the same jam for $6.99 a jar. Buyer beware. Crampton's is ripping you off.
Was Awesome.Great staff and new location was beautiful!
Great place! Great food! Great service!
Not impressed, prices way to high!
Disgusting employees refusing to serve individuals who mask exempt and unable to wear one for medical reasons. Absolute disgrace
Great place for organics
Everything you need
Great place!
Great store
Such a wonderful shop. Tons of options for supporting local!
Cute place, lots of great selection, more $ than a grocery store but a nice treat.
Loved them when they were on Waverly. Been to thwir new location. Lots of local products
Great fresh selection
Only it is too far away to go every week. Great food options. Awesome bakery
Awesome products! Love the new location! I definitely recommend to everyone!
Good, fresh produce & baking. Some items do appear over priced.
Love the variety of products
Amazing produce and baked goods!
Really pleased with the quality and service here. I ordered sandwiches and dainties for a small gathering at my home and they were excellent. They even cut them up and packed them up in my own plastic tubs. My guests particularly loved the sandwiches, nice variety, fresh, and hearty. The staff is warm and friendly and the quality is always great.
Fresh produce, reasonable prices. Free range turkeys for holidays. I live on the other side of the city and still come here for produce. Been shopping here for at least 5 years.
Love Cramptons ! Bread and cookie heaven. So mant fresh and yummy things. Coffees are great too.
Good destination for an outing. Very pleasant.
Wide selection of locally sourced foods, looking forward to trying the bison burger we picked up.
Closed for season
Yes it seems the produce is overpriced but the quality is amazing. Whenever I buy strawberries from the "Supermarket" there's always a few that are rotten and sometimes they barely have any flavour. But when I bought strawberries from Cramptons they were delicious and not one was rotten. "Supermarkets" want to sell lots of products at a lower price but in order for them to make profits the quality is not there. Sure you get quantity but I would rather have quality over quantity.
This little shop has a great selection of food and a fantastic bakery. The cinnamon and alpine breads are so amazing. Their everything bagels are delicious as well. Prices here are higher than chain stores however usually high quality produce. Also lots of little knick knack type food for gifts and such for people.
Amazing staff, awesome produce and fantastic breads, you can’t go wrong !!!!
Wonderful little market with locally sourced food and very friendly staff.
Love Crampton's - the produce that they carry is delicious and fresh. I must mention that their baked goods are made on-site and are always fresh.
Went out for there homemade multigrain bread. Snuck in some date bar. So good.not just a farmer's market. It is so much more. Bison anyone? So glad they added table and chairs outside so you can eat there homemade sandwiches and enjoy the view.
This is such a gem Good variety. Loved the salsa bun
This place used to be a staple for us. The new location is just too out of the way for it to make sense for us to go. Prices have always been on the higher end. The new location is beautiful though. Best of luck!
Lovely place, bread and produce top quality
Good customer service! Definitely worth a stop!
