This is my No Frills, for the past five years! I do majority of my shopping here. Highly recommend :). Produce rarely ever has mould; unlike some competitors. Clean store. Friendly staff. Only thing I'd recommend, is keeping an eye out for how many people are in the produce area. There can be 20 at one time. No social distancing in place.

For traditional no frills prices, service and selection, this shop won't let you down. An older store with updated facilities. If you are a no frills shopper elsewhere, you can shop for your you usual items in their usual places, fast. You will also find a dollar section in the middle of the store. Lots of specials with lots of quantity, fast checkouts, ample free parking... what's not to like?

Great place to shop. I'm here every week. There is one cashier that is a total knob about coupons and will hassle me no matter how in order I have them. Same with doing price matching, however, I'm not painting them all with the same brush or it would be a zero star review lol. The cashiers here are awesome, except just one. They just got express in and created special parking spaces for it. They have fridges at the front now to accommodate it as well. I wish they had the Flash Food app for their discounted foods like Massie or Superstores. It's not like they are doing anything special with their marked down food? So hopefully Flash Food will come soon.

This location is AMAZING! Compared to the other No Frills locations I have been to this one is a diamond in the rough! It carries a ton of dairy free options for our family, the carts are only 25c compared to $1 at some other locations, and they are always in stock with all flyer deals and meat options! Way to go Gary’s No Frills!!! I will be a continued customer for many years to come.

Pretty good supply of items. They're always stocking shelves when I go. Friendly staff. Air conditioning is extremely high in the summer (if you like to freeze while shopping) They don't refund you if you return smelly meat though.

This is our go-to shopping store for groceries. Much cleaner and nicer than average No-Frills. They did do a Reno recently; but, I am not a fan of the narrower aisles, and the sideways aisles in produce which create congestion and difficulty with oversight when looking for an item. Best self checkout system that I have encountered.

I have always loved this no frills. It's pretty clean and the staff are usually very kind. Their prices are also reasonable. They have a pretty good selection of everything. I kind of wish they stocked more frozen treats, like popsicles and such, but oh well! I do like the new organic/gluten free/vegan isle. They now have a lot of options if you have a diet restriction, like being lactose intolerant or have a gluten sensitivity.

Great grocery store, the staff there are just terrific, very friendly. I think the only thing that ticks me off is that you have to bring change for the carts. When most people now don't carry coins or cash, and mainly using debit cards or phones for payments.

I prefer No Frills to the other discount grocery chains because of the presence of President's Choice products and I find N.F. usually has better pricing on the other products I interested in. However, and this goes for most of the grocery stores I shop at, it would be nice if the cashiers seemed to care that you are shopping at their store. It's getting ridiculous that now it's more common that the cashier that is cashing you out is more likely talking to their fellow employees in other lanes rather than the customer standing right in front of them. I understand that speed of checkout is very important; however, totally ignoring the customer isn't what I would consider great customer service.

Usually fine, just make sure your cashier knows what they're doing as I had one earlier on that was just not adequate. Earlier review: The cashier asked PC points. I pulled out my card, then I go to pull out cash but the cashier looks at me and says oops... Because she went ahead and charged my credit card which is quite inconvenient. Then as I left I realised that she also didn't give me a receipt so I can't properly call up and complain about the experience or look over my purchase.

I came here from Ottawa 6 months ago and I usesd to shop from Lablaws there. Here we did not have one near us, but when I refer to No Frills for first time, I realized so many similarities between them even goods arrangements in rows. Ok. I am good now. And of course it has everything as metro and lablaws.

This location seems to be half decent compared to some of the other ones. I do believe since the little remodel/reorganization of things here that it has improved the store. This location does not seem to have empty shelves like the one on Southdale Rd behind Scotiabank.

Even though there were grocery stores closer to our house, driving to Gary's store was always worth it. Not only is the store tidy and clean, but his team is always so helpful and friendly. I also love that he gives back to the community and supports local charities, too. I will always support small businesses like this one that really care about the community they operate in.

Sad location, not clean at all outside and just seems old and run down inside. Weak selection of products, couldn't get anything I went for and had to settle on a couple items I wanted for a last minute dinner and couldn't wait on. If this location didn't have the pharmacy, I don't know how they would stay in business.

Huge place and selection. Unfortunately the produce is the only reason I gave it four stars. I can never find the produce I want and it doesn't always stay fresh if I don't put it in the fridge like right away. Certain things if they're in season they are amazing and affordable here but otherwise refrigerate quickly.

Really nice produce and dairy workers and cashiers. However before pandemic their loss prevention person followed me around a lot-i have a meal preparation business and need to shop often. I also live around the corner so I am there pretty frequently. The loss prevention guy is in Plain clothes at least before pandemic and was there almost every day posing as a customer. Ive never stolen a thing i just need to shop there often and this makes me not want to go there

Don't bother trying to call the store to cancel your pcexpress order. No one answers and there is no voice mail. After a dozen tries (the corporate number says to call the store) i called corporate number. As I cancelled the money came out if my account. So now have been waiting 4 days without money for food. Never will I ever shop at this store again. What a disgrace.

I find this one of the better grocers in London, and I would have to say likely the best discount grocer. Decent produce, with excellent prices on dry goods. Price match is a bonus. Only usual draw back I find, as is true with most discount grocers as there are usually longer lines and waits, especially when busy.

Not a fan, not a lot of things in stock. Customers had face mask down and not wearing them properly. They wait in line is too long. Although the ladies do a good job keeping it organized and are friendly enough. The other problem was the girl that was checking us out. Didnt even wait for me to finish packing and was spraying the checkout lane along with my produce, which I thought was rude and careless.

Even though I still shop there when it's needed.. I rather not go at all if I don't have too. Their service is good and their self check out is amazing, however their stock SUCKS. They are 99.9% sold out on their sale items the minute the open on a new sale day and we are convinced that they just don't have the sale item and falsely advertise.

My local store... pretty satisfied overall. Cashiers are friendly. Only concerns would be that it's hard to find staff to help u when u need it (help around around the store). Also, they let food go to waste too much. They only discount meat n bakery items by 30% on the very last day of the best before date. They don't discount fruits n veggies at all .. why would I pay full price for bagged salad when it expires same day? I don't understand why they don't have someone checking best before dates and discounting accordingly. This problem is not specific to no frills but I've noticed a significant amount of waste from this store. Other than that, its pretty clean for discount store and they price match which is great.

The employees are committed to great service. At Gary's Store (Baseline London) I feel treated with respect and diligence. The cashiers and each person who place the fruit and vegetables are very gentil. To add, I have so much support by phone as well. Finally, the groceries is always fresh, I will give you only one reason: No Frills have the best price in the city and the store is very accessible

Have been a customer here since Madge was the owner operator which was a good time to be a customer. New ownership has not had the same operating success and that is reflected by the noticeable change of customers. There continually seems to be a lower selection of fresh produce compared to similar Company stores in the same city. I have heard many different explanations staff that caused these issues...most of which I quedtion their validity. There seems to be regular lack of products as well as selections...again with similar explanations. It may give a long way to restore some customer confidence if ownership could spend some time "on the floor" meeting and greeting the customers so they may put a face to the name and get the opportunity to address issues directly rather than with staff who do their best to satisfy the issues....not always satisfactorily. Proximity to residence was previously a major factor in decision to shop...however due to the several issues ...a little more driving achieves a better resolution.

Buying food from this store is always a disappointing experience, the food is moldy and rotten. I understand that these things happen but evwryye I go there is mold all over the place on the food and on the bins that hold the food. The meat department isnt even worth looking at.

Every has their own "no frills" and this one is mine. The selection is wonderful and the prices are great. However they have a slight issue with staff - Husband I went in there today, a young man was pushing a cart of produce around, I guess I was in his way and he asked me to move. First mistake. If the customer doesn't move or doesn't see you, you remain quiet. And you sit there until they acknowledge your presence. He didn't say "excuse me, can you please move, he just said" hi I need you to move. " I guess the issue about having to hire teenage boys is that they don't have common sense yet. I'm a very noticeable 40 weeks pregnant women... I can barely move and his kid pushes right past me. However the lack of maturity doesn't stop there, a group of young workers were in the frozen section, stocking shelves. They were all checking their cell phones and and two of them were using really inappropriate language and it was definitely not work related. Listen. I get it, I've been in operational management - it's not easy to find good cheap labour, but it is easy to reiterate with your staff what common sense is.

I have been a customer for many years - not because I particularly like the store but due to its proximity to Old South. It is OK for your basic needs, like canned or boxed foods, some vegetables /fruits, etc. Everything else is subpar - from quality and variety of products to ongoing inability to restock/reorder even the most common everyday items on time! Young girl cashiers are all lovely, unfortunately I can not say the same about some other "old-timer" staff, especially grocery manager (middle aged, bearded) who is clearly devoid of not only customer service skills but also basic manners and respect towards other people. Finally, the store lacks cleanliness and direction from management to keep it nice and tidy, e.g. piles of old flyers and garbage have been rotting underneath shopping cart holding areas for years and nothing is ever being done to clean it up!!! It should take no more than 30 min to accomplish and yet it's being ignored. We should all expect better even from "No Frills" - it could be the cleanest, nicest store in London if only some attention and effort would be put into achieving this.

My daughter does most of my shopping for me an I would like to thank you and your staff. We are both unable to wear a mask due to pretty severe health problems. Since this COVID problem we have been harassed pretty regularly, even in our own apartment building. My daughter’s health problems are Made worse by stress. It means a lot that you and your staff has obviously worked hard to provide a stress free experience. In that you have provided this service you get 95% of our grocery business. Please pass our thanks to your staff it really does mean a lot. I would also like to make a suggestion: another store in the area provides broken down turkey parts and we absolutely love it. We can have turkey any time of the year and we would love to be able too pick it up at ou4 favourite grocery store, just a thought. Keep up the excellent work, folks.

For the past year, the shelves have been poorly stocked. It is common to see the same empty space for weeks on end. The diary and produce section are also very poorly maintained. I have been shopping here ever since Gary's No Frills had moved to its current location from Southdale and Wonderland. I am seriously considering to take my shopping elsewhere. It almost seems that management never ventures onto the floor to ensure that its store is properly serving its shoppers. Another problem is the absence of goods on the shelves that are advertised on sale in the flyer. On the second day of the sale, Dec 3, there was absolutely no PC Peanut butter in the entire store. And as Dec 6, the store was still out of stock and the store workers had no answers as to when a shipment will arrive. This example is just the most recent. Throughout the year, it happens very frequently. Tomorrow, Dec 7, I am going to ask for a rain cheque. Just found out that NO FRILLS does not give out rain cheques!!! At least that is what is being said in various Forums on the web. Well, I have to go and find out myself.

This no frills is constantly out of stock or the shelves aren't stocked and you have to find someone to check in the back to see if they have any. Living just down the street from this location, it's sad that I have to go down to southdale location where 99% of the time everything is in stock. They're not good at cleaning carts either. I've seen them standing around watching as people put uncleaned carts with the cleaned carts and they say or do nothing.

The grocery is clean, produce are fresh, groceries well stocked, staff is sooo helpful. We’re from out of town and was so impressed with the place. Spent over $100.00 and could have spent more if I wasn’t there for one purpose, walk in vaccine at the pharmacy. From the greeter to the cashier, I am truly grateful for the experience. The highlight of our visit was the walk in vaccine at the pharmacy. So organized . Thanks to Patricia (pharmacy technician) for a well oiled system. And to the young Pharmacist Mr. Patel, you have the lightest touch. Did not even feel the needle, I am one of those afraid of needles. Thank you both so much, truly appreciate your services.
