This Fruit Store corresponds to the category of Grocery store.
This is a great market and the food selection is excellent. Every city should invest in such a structure in its downtown. It is architecturally pleasing, its relaxing, gives a nocenplace to take the family for a a stroll and interact with some local merchants. Plus it gives the chance to access local products all year round, no matter the weather.
Covent Garden is a really awesome place to shop! It's mostly local and many of the merchants are very friendly. I love going up stairs for tea or downstairs for sushi. There's always interesting things to look at and the events they hold are a lot of fun! You can also go skating in winter if it's cold enough outside and get cocoa at any of the cafes inside. Definitely a place a visit if you're in Downtown London.
It's quaint. Over priced. Mostly knick knacks and alright but expensive food. The coffee place is cool. The tea place is nice, and the burek guy is awesome.
Worth the price for sheer convenience and a vast variety of foods, dining, entertainment and merchandise of all kinds.
Beautiful
A great place for fresh produce and fun things to browse through
Fresh local produce, vendors are educating you on their products and the outdoor market they have is a nice place to sit and enjoy a beverage and check out the local vendors.
I love shopping here, there are everyday items that I can trust. But just around every corner is something new and unique. Sometimes it's nice just to grab a pop or a tea and walk around looking at each new display. Plus they validate parking!
I have posted earlier about what a treasure this place is. As of June 1 all vendors have been given the go ahead to come back. And the outdoor market is active yet again. I've been going every Saturday after the partial reopening. Really looking forward to when they're all back again.
The market is right opposite home and has some great produce. The market has everything from fruits, veggies, meat, eateries with global cuisine, bakes, florists and much more. Love to walk in with family for a great evening especially Saturdays and Wednesday during the outdoor market and winter ice skating arena.
A relaxed atmosphere for shopping for a wide selection of local goods. I stopped in for Apple cider and ended up grabbing a few other things because I couldn't resist!
Totally worth coming here! A mix of local businesses, different foods and small shops that are all inexpensive. The produce in particular is fresh and the staff are super nice. In addition, they’ve got an organic food section and the parking is free! (It’s underground and no ticket is required). Definitely recommend coming here and shopping local!
Beautiful market with lots to offer, the best coffee roaster and tea shop in the city and has lots of great food. Great place for lunch or to shopfor food or gifts or wellness.
Great place to find different food, they have pretty much everything here! Coffee from all over the world, and even accessories are sold here.
This place is pretty awesome. I love the togetherness feel. Everyone is very nice. Food is great, so far from what i’ve had haha
Plenty of accessible doors, as a matter of fact there is one on each side of the building. The aisles are a bit frustrating for wider chairs and perhaps even narrow ones since there is no room for two way traffic in some areas. My biggest beefs are with : 1. the number of actuators on the doors, some of them have two, some work some don't, I'd love to see them get rid of the inactive ones and keep one set. It would be less confusing. Another beef: bathroom doors with no actuators on the door, makes it hard for wheelchair or baby or walker to get in and out. The last real beef I have is finding the ramp way down to the central area for the outdoor market. We are constantly having to go around especially during festivals, and it's a bit awkward and time consuming to find them.
This is as fake of a market as they come. The prices are insane and most of the produce is not fresh or local (some is). Try some other markets around town before this one and you'll be shocked by the prices they try to charge. Don't be lured in by the nice look when you see the prices it'll feel like a kick to the stomach. Only good for a quick snack, try other palces.
A lovely indoor market with a very wide range of local goods! While I visited I saw fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, French desserts, smoothies, ice creams, jams/preserves, fresh florals, gifts, handmade items, accessories, home decor, Canadiana, quick service restaurants and a coffee shop. There is parking underground which at the time was free for the first hour or 2 upon validation, and a couple dollars per hour after that. Outside there is a large square with benches and picnic tables. Inside there were a few tables as well. Overall a very nice visit and especially great if you are looking for some local goods to eat or gift to others.
Amazing place lots of different things to buy and see but not much walking room.
Great place to go and spend some time wandering around. Always something to see.
Large variety of market choices, vegetables, cheese, meat, fast food, baked goods! I really enjoy shopping there!
I love the Market, my favourite place to people watch. Grab something to eat. Shop for meal time. Vendors have what you want/need or they'll get it for you. Make sure you check out everything, way back in a corner is a GREAT Health Food Store. Knowledgable staff.
Awesome place to shop for healthy fresh food, crafts, and gifts..... Great place to Eat as well.
Visit the market almost every weekend and can get a majority of my groceries done at a reasonable price. Very convenient location (especially for people who live downtown), and the food is always fresh and delicious. Highly recommended.
Nice local market. Pastry Culture's pistachio brownies are incredible.
Busy little place, lots of booths. Different food areas all with very friendly staff. There is something for everyone! Lots of cool little shops too, and a veggie market.
I wish I could love this market but it's more of a food court than a market. Hasbeans is my favourite vendor at Covent Garden Market.
i love this market! such a staple of the community and a lovely safe place to be. they have great food, among my favourites is the $5 spinach and cheese burek that is so good! great handmade and artisan products.
Love this spot. Lots to see. Great little shops with lots of local variety and curiosities. I do not get here enough. Great place for lunch with a friend to browse the shops and have local treats. Parking can be a challenge depending on the day. Some day and times are very busy!
I love the market, it's near my work, so if I don't have lunch with me, I have loads of options, I occasionally shop here and my favourite spice store is there, no only they sell spices, but an array of dietary restriction food sources and more. I love em :-) I don't always find the veggies the freshest, but alright.
So many choices of places to eat! All amazing and affordably priced!
Love looking around at all the vendors and picking up some fresh baked goods
Neat little market. Cool eclectic finds. Got me a Murry!
Love the Covent Garden Market, all the employees are amazing! Great food, variety of options and grocery shopping for fresh produce and meats is perfect here. I enjoy the market square, when they do the outdoor market and live events in the warmer weather and the skating rink during the winter is always a pleasure. They even have a wonderful health food store which has good varieties of vitamins, foods, even body care (shampoo, Conditioner, body wash) . I recommend the Convent Garden Market to anyone in London or even someone visiting.
Overpriced and difficult to get to ( way to much roadworks). Save yourself the hassle go into the country side and visit a proper market. Without the hassles and bad overpriced fruit.
Fantastic place... great variety, great price, great value. Well laid out, plenty of seating, outdoor rink with viewing area. Parking, as always in London, can be a pain. Fast food, grocery, pharmacy, butcher and community services. All in one place!
Nice market lots of different products and food options. Worth a visit
Great location right downtown. Wonderful place to find unique food and crafts.
Covent Garden Market is amazing, to see something like 30 locally owned and operated business with very no big chain stores all in one place is really refreshing in this day and age. It employs so many people and is surprisingly affordable compared to the local supermarkets. It is a significant contributor to London's small town feel. People get to know the regulars there quickly.
Realy it very diffrent and good management by Covent Garden Market, so beautiful place.
Great local downtown market. Various food stalls that are tasty and reasonably priced, handful of other stores ranging from crafts to health products, in addition to a smallbarea for community events, cooking classes etc. Definately worth a visit if you are traveling through London or just hanging out downtown.
What a beautiful market! I loved the variety of things available here. The ice cream was particularly terrific.
Everything about this place is great. I strongly recommend trying The Hot Oven
Has fresh organic green & all flavors of thé world,si have your passport ready.
Love the variety of vendors and ethnic food you find here. There is something for everyone's taste!
Saturday mornings at the outdoor organic farmers'market - it's the place to be. Bring your own bags. Love the sprouted dark rye bread sold at one of the kiosks.
My new go to for the weekend! Has all the groceries I could want and a bunch of cool stuff, such a cute vibe. Pricing isn't ridiculous if you shop smart.
Few people shopping. Difficult to find the proper entrance without long walk. Needlessly complicated system to take advantage of free parking. I only go there when necessary. Downtown London is in real trouble.
So many places to eat. I would have liked to see a map of places to eat. There may have been a place, I didn't see anything where I was.
Love the market good selection of food choices.
One of my favourite places in London! I love the variety of foods and vendors inside; there's definitely something for everyone. You must try the bureks from Hot Oven, or grab a poke bowl from Seoul Seafood Shoppe. Yum!
Best local coffee in the city at Has Beans. The only groceries available in downtown. Good weekly farmer's market. Shop independent, shop at the market.
Covent Garden Market is a special place in London, amazing building, vendors and products. 2 hours free parking with HONK special code "CORE"
Beauty of a place. the calm and bustle on the weekend. Good food within the "garden". Kids went skating, well some of them, the others stayed in doors to stuff their faces. We like walking around sampling food, including bakeries, cakes, tea and coffee
A very comfortable market that offers a wide selection of food. Granted, much of the food is a bit overpriced but I'm sure many can expect that while eating downtown. However, I really enjoy their selection of meats. Very fresh and high quality and I come here to grab a nice ribeye steak when I want to cook steak! Free parking (for 30 min) during weekdays - you have to validate.
It is a fantastic business model. Independent shops and vendors waiting to serve your needs.. They also support their community by hosting sports tournaments as well as the skating pad.. Great way to get a bit of exercise at lunch break. Sandwich from the market and a skate.....
Great market with endless food options on hand. Fresh, quality produce, meats, cheeses, pastas, home-made sauces, and more. There are also several foods stalls offering cooked fare. I don't think you can possibly walk through the market without trying something! There are also local vendors selling home-made arts and crafts. This is the perfect place to pick up an after work bite or groceries for dinner. With an abundance of seating, it's also great for a family outing on the weekend.
Great variety of prepared food and groceries! The 2 hour free underground parking on weekends and 30 minutes during the week keeps us coming back! There are always events going on all year that the family can enjoy! The farmers market outside at the front on Saturday is great to pick up local foods. It moves inside in the winter and outside becomes an ice rink which doesn't get too busy.
Wow. Better then the Forks at the Market for items such as food. Great selection of everything for health nuts in the health food store and boy do they know their products. Floral shop has amazing array of plants even some I've never seen in my life. A little smile would have been nice though from the florist. There is a coffee place right beside the floral place that is hands down the best flavour I've had in a long time. Better then Starbucks.. yes I cannot believe I'm saying it but it's TRUE. Only discouragement is the tables to eat at are not very clean considering we ate before the mad rush came in. But I suppose I added to the mess as I was hungry and enjoying my food that I kept missing some aims in my mouth.
Lunch, coffee with a friend, shopping, farmer's market, events --- it's always a nice experience. Highly recommend.
Great selection of unique products (especially foods) from many different vendors, but a bit on the pricey side.
This is my first time to visit this local marketplace in downtown core. I immediately compare with st. Lawrence market in Toronto. The size of Covent is hard to match with st.Lawrence, but I surprised the varieties of business keep in this building like organic products retail, florist shop, shoe repair, art craft, butcher and produce shpp There also have global gourmet selections such as Italian, korean, bake and dessert, Chinese stir fry, sushi, chocolate specialist, Caribbean. It's worth to make a visit when come to London.
We couldn't find anything interesting at this place ????♀️
Really nice place. Multiple venders. Multicultural food. Enjoyed the many places and people.
The tea haus excellent. And the garlic huge and fairly priced.
Fresh produce, and local meats and cheeses and all kinds of tasty treats as well as home cooking style restaurants.
Delicious food everywhere. Friendly vendors. Underground parking. Great atmosphere.
Lots of great variety of foods for snacks, lunch or to take home (it is a market, after all). It does get fairly busy at lunchtime so avoid the 12:00-12:30 time if you want to get a table.
The Market is a very cute place in Downtown London, with so much happening under one roof. The moment you walk in, you are hit with many yummy smells from the mulitude of food vendors and grocers on the main floor. You can catch a show at Original Kids Theatre Company upstairs, take in the buskers on the main level, or just sit on the mezzanine and enjoy the view of the patio/King and Talbot corner.
Best place to see the city the market all kinds of food to eat an to take home to make
Great local finds including eateries, produce, butchers, clothing, home decor and art. Love coming here!
I love everything they sell here. It's awesome. And all the deserts from the fudge place of whatever. So good. Omg
If you are having a staycation this summer in London be sure to visit the Covent Garden Market. Its like a tour of the world in one building. Lots to see. Great variety of foods to eat. Awesome produce and meat to create wonderful meals. Loved it
Great place to go Saturday morning for the farmers market
Great place with a lot of variety. There's a milkshake shop with very good stuff.
Was there for ice skating, no line up unlike Victoria Park. Small but good!
thank you local businesses who are trying their BEST and dealing with consistent negativity along the way. So much love for the vendors and zero respect for Bub Usher, the manager who is a bully, charging full rent and turning away mask exemptions.
Lots of great merchants, including the best tea shop in London. Underground parking has free validation, which is key because street parking is often very hard to find.
Great market on weekends. Indoors I recommend the burek (phylo pastry with spiced filling like meat or spinach and cheese)
Nice place to go when downtown. Lots of things to check out, various types of food and treats, fresh produce, farmers market outside in the summer, and skating in the winter. There is good coffee and chocolate here, as well as florists. Nice place to kill some time!
30 minutes free parking is nice if you are running in for a quick purchase. Prices are high compared to other markets I've been too
We love the market. It's a unique setting with some very nice shop to go eat and shop at. But it could use some more seats upstairs!
A unique place in downtown London that offers a variety of tasty things.
Lovely market. I went to the Tea Haus on the second floor and boy were they well stocked (they had four different sencha teas)! I also love the overall feel of the place. My only complaint would be that for some reason I couldn't access the onsite supposedly free wifi.
I grew up with the old market so miss that and it's genuine feel and quality but this is a great place for fresh produce and foods as well as delicious foods ready to eat.
My favorite place through the year doesn't matter if is storm, tornado or sunny hot summer from the coffee to ice cream, veggies to pasta ????????????????????
A varied and most pleasant indoor shopping experience in downtown London. Many interesting canned food products, spices, and superior fresh produce.
one of the best parts of london downtown
Only been in here a few times. Never ordered any of the food here but my friends seemed to enjoy theirs. The upstairs has tables and chairs to sit on, of course my friends decided to sit near the balcony which triggered my fear of hights but overall seems like a nice place. Crowded and loud like every market.
Not the typical farmers market. It's more of a high end market with premium products. Located downtown you would think that parking would be a problem but you can park underground. (Entrance off king St.) Once you go to the market you can validate your ticket so it's free.
I miss this place so much. The market had lots of yummy places to eat. I still dream of the food from Thai Delight. Lovely stores all around. Always made sure to take my family here so they could enjoy their fave food and treats. Make sure to validate your parking ticket.
Lots of small, local places to eat and shop. Great salad place and delis. Outdoor seating is expansive and is a great place to get some sun for lunch on a nice day.
Amazing local businesses and farms. Phenomenal atmosphere and good prices. I love coming here to relax with a food, shop for handmade dresses for my daughter, or even see an Original Kids production!
Wonderful Tasty Foods of different cousins alongwith Fresh and Organic Stuff.
Way way way overpriced except Mona's very reasonable and delicious
Good place to feel the city's vibe! Go local! Food, coffe, goods! Spend some time. Enjoy!
One of my favourite places to go downtown London. So many good vendors to choose from and a ton of fresh produce. I love grabbing lunch and eating outside on the picnic tables when the weather is nice.
Great selection of foods ..great coffee spot, relaxing on the patio enjoying the sunshine.. good onsite security..
Good selection of goods at the stalls in the building, but doors lock exactly at 7 and had to walk around then while building at 7:03 to retrieve my car from the under ground parking rather than walking through the public aisles. Sad market building customer service.
Great historic local place with vendors & food. Skating out front in the winter. A good place to get a bite to eat!!!!
An amazing local place to go for all things food, drink and entertainment. Hasbeans and Thai Delight are Mainstays for me but there are many great choices every time I go.
Over priced market but have some lovely artisans in the market.
I don't buy groceries here but They have some neat vendors if you need food downtown. I like the spots for lunch as there is a lot of variety and lots of unique ethnic offerings.
Lots of it is expensive but they have very interesting foods and products. Favourite store is the Salad Bowl, healthy fast food. Next favourite is the bread place, because it has dollar day olds. Loads of organic foods and a huge variety of premade dishes to buy. Pita chips are cool.
Love it but not open since covid only used the td bank machine in the doorway
The market is a great place to come for fresh produce, coffee, and specialty items. Bright and vibrant in the downtown. I really enjoy the atmosphere and feel of history this market offers like no other.
Great food, great produce, a little pricy, but a fun atmosphere. Also has a farmers market in the courtyard sometimes, which has wonderful, local produce. Well worth a visit, if only to browse
One of the coolest places to visit or do your shopping in downtown London. Most of your grocery needs and then some are available here, with lots of locally grown fruits and vegetables and other locally made food items such as cheeses, spreads and dips, ice cream and deserts and sweets and bakery iteams. Loaded with other cool shops like the plant shop which has a cool variety of bonsai as well as other houseplants. It is often difficult to decide where to get something to eat because of all the amazing options. My personal favourite is Tanakaya, a Japanese restaurant with awesome service and food which is family owned and operated for many, many years. There are many cuisines packed into this market and something for any type of eater
Great spot for lunch - to pick up a gift or even some great Tea or treats ! excellent products - excellent customer service and staff and many different vendors your sure to find something that you'll enjoy :) Plus you can beat supporting our local businesses + community. $$
I love this place. My wife and I come here often for a breakfast - the spinach and feta cheese Burek is a must try. Don't know if the store has a name, but it's right beside the flower shop on the main floor. It's a nice and relaxing environment :).
Such a quaint market with fresh produce and great food selection inside. Awesome events in the summer as well.
Great fresh produce. Organic meats. Lunch. Love the atmosphere. Had suffered during the pandemic like everywhere, but surprisingly little.
I love the market I would have given it 5 stars BUT the vendor at Doris Family Farms got really rude with me when I had a problem with the Maple Butter I purchased from them. I didn't blame them for problem but thought they should know the product was no spoiled. They told me never buy products from them again. So I won't ....ALL the other vendors I've encountered have been friendly helpful AND COURTEOUS!!
If you're looking for unique and local this is the place ! The smell of wonderful food will make your mouth water . From flowers too chocolate this place has it all. Don't forget to visit the top floor and enjoy the view.
Best permanent market! Also seasonal farmers' market! Great lunch spot.
Nice farmer's market style setup with a wide variety of goods and food items.
Good place for those withing short distance of downtown,, but wouldn't go far out of my way to visit. Can almost always find decent food to eat, but never beyond impressed. Some very nice, personable vendors.
Eclectic collection of foods (both raw, and premade), and crafts. A good place to wander for a bit, or find that item/service that has eluded you.
A very nice market! I wish they could be open on Sundays since this when most of the people have time to shop and enjoy. Also some products are overpriced.
Great market unfortunately it was between Christmas holidays and not much there...would like to see it during summer season. There were alot of duplicate vendors like chocolate makers etc. Variety is the spice of life. Would thrive with more.
There is a lot of history at the Covent Garden Market, it is a building that has stood the test of time. The Market is the heart of downtown London. It's beautiful and busy but not too busy. In the winter it is a warm, welcoming community center where you can ice skate on the public rink and enjoy a hot chocolate and dinner afterwards.
Good places to spend some time
Love the live performance !
A week round market and supporter of local business. More of a miniature mall than anything. It's as easy to write an accurate review of this place as it is to write a review of masonville as a single store.
Lots of choices for fresh meats, produce and veggies. Glad we found this today.
Great source of local produce and vendors. Not your stereotypical fast food lunch suppliers, but great fresh cooked food. Highly recommend the booth across from the shoe repair place for quality schnitzel on a bun!
Cute little farmers market. Great place to get fresh produce, unique little gifts and good eatery. Love the soup place!
I love the selection of fresh produce from different vendors. Both butchers offer an excellent selection of meats. The bakery by the King St doors has the best thick sliced white bread that I have ever had. I love the food from The Coop, New Delhi Deli, Waldo's and The Red Rooster.
Great Little Downtown Market! if your gonna go Hasbeans Is A MUST!
i like there because they do not have franchise restaurants like other malls. All other mall food are same wherever you go which is sad.
Nice market with a great farmers market. Plenty of underground parking but it's not free. Lots of food options and great coffee stores aswell. Staff is always very friendly and helpful and always a joy to deal with. Great place to grab a quick bite and convenient downtown location.
Refreshing and cool. Tons to see, mostly foods but there are a few venders here and there that have other things to offer. Definitely check this place out.
Checked this cute little market while in London. You don’t want to miss out on the burek (spinach & cheese/meat) while you’re there. Very tasty!! Ended up going back after we tried to grab my parents some as well. You can buy frozen ones …
Lovely market. Great selection of stores, places to eat, locally made products. People are generally very friendly. Can be quite busy on weekends.
Wasn't fun,, the cooked chicken place was gone. No seating
Great market. Farmers and small shops. I love to get food and sit out front on my lunch breaks. A little something for everyone. They even have a tea shop upstairs and a small production theatre.
Tonnes of stuff. Lots of food options ranging from hearty soups to rotisserie chicken. To Asian cuisine. Definitely recommend this place to anyone in London Ontario
Great place to get fresh produce downtown, as well as local goods. Really busy on weekends but a fun place to wander around. Also has two hours free parking underground, which helps!
Great food and interesting arts and crafts available here. Love the validated parking as well!
A little bit of everything, so many choices of food and fresh produce.
I have always been fond of the market great company and store owners
Great atmosphere, sometimes not enough seating, parking is underground which is nice, many types of food available for eat in and take out, also groceries, bakeries, flowers, seafood, healthfood store, Arts and crafts, paintings, a tea house on upper level. Would get 5 star if more community events took place aside from skating only in the winter.
The most tasty and delicious breads for your table. Fresh or day old for savings. You won't regret the homemade loving touch from International Bakeries!!!
Great market and a must to visit if you’re in the area. So many different vendors and options and everything from there is really great.
Pros: They have a lot of good small businesses under one roof, it's very unique and really showcases a lot of local London and individual personalities of people which is really the best thing a store can do. 10/10 great place and well kept. Cons: You most likely either have to bus or pay for parking, no big deal though.
neat, clean, very nice place to go. My daughter loves here more than supermarket. We usually come here for fun and stay for lunch, but ended up bought a lot of food, little bit expensive than supermarket.
The vendors and the products are excellent, for the most part. The major downside is that things here are more expensive than anywhere else. Although, a lot of the restaurant style vendors do have decent prices and deals, to be fair.
Nice atmosphere. Free 30 minute parking underground. Cheese and meats and baked goods and coffee plus other little shops.
Rice bowl was great. Big portion and reasonable price. Ample seating nearby indoor and outdoor
Absolutely love the market!! Every time I've been here there's always so much variety you don't know what to do with, best part about it is it's all local.
Online it said there would be wifi in the market but there isn't any. It's a good place to grab coffee or lunch or do some shopping but I find it embarrassing for the city that there is no wifi. Maybe I'm used to big-league city living.
Oldest market around. Has a little bit of everything on the main floor and top. Skating in front of the market in the winter.
Great for a coffee and lunch. Lots of the shops are overpriced, but it's the experience that matters. The farmers market is great too.
Lots of good food and drinks. Friendly vendors. Some prices are high but u can always find a deal.
Cute market. Friendly local vendors. Kind of always the same, though. Not much changes here year over year.
Love going down the market. Tons of selection of restaurants and vendors. Park underground for free for up to 2 hours I believe.
They have wonderful local business. I enjoy the coffee shop in particular. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.
Nice little shops for unique gifts (i.e. mugs, plants, decorative items) as well as chocolates/gift baskets, cheese, meats, and food. Nice place, some stuff slightly overpriced, but good experience overall. Parking weekdays underground is 30 min. free and 2 hrs free on weekends .
I go here a few times a week for lunch. Great local food for a quick bite, coffee house to buy quality freshly roasted beans and you can do some groceries while your at it. Perfect
Best market we’ve got that’s open all week! Great cheese place and an amazing salad bar called the Salad Bowl! Petit Paris has the best macron you will ever taste!!! And local veggies vendors. Coffee and chocolate ! Great selection of foods for a lunch spot and for some gift shopping! Parking is underground.
Wonderful place with good fresh food, including organic selections. I especially like to get my loose leaf tea from the Tea Haus upstairs. Great location downtown.
Cool little market. Probably the coolest thing in London. There's underground parking. You can find so many different things to eat here
Bought some Tomahawk Steaks at Chris’s Meats they were amazingly good !
This is the perfect place to get a quick bite to eat in downtown London! Great variety and quality of food vendors on site and plenty of seating either outside or on the second floor mezzanine inside the market. Underground parking is available at the market, accessible via King St.
Used to be great, too bad they close at five now so it's impossible to do groceries there if you have a job.
Better deals by far at St. Jacobs Market, however there are some half decent deals here and there. We missed the outdoor farmers market (it doesnt show the details in the Google search, it closes at a different time then the indoor part). Free parking for 2 hours was decent.
Doris Family Produce was my go to for groceries while in university :) I also loved Thai Delight and the Indian Food place in the market. Nate's Shawarma wins for best place to eat lunch though!!!
Great way to pass by an hour with the family. Go inside, grab some food, snacks, or local crafts, and then proceed outside to the tables and enjoy. Shout out to the ice cream and Gelato spot on the ground floor. Their watermelon Gelato is a must try!
Okay place to chill & have lunch. Located in the heart of DT so youd think it would be filled with junkies but it isnt.
Great vendors. Great lunch spot with so many great options. Honestly my favorite spot to grab fresh produce and groceries as well.
A friendly market atmosphere. Prices are a little high on pretty much everything but vendors are always staffed with helpful friendly employees which makes the experience worthwhile. If you have a lunch meeting the market offers something amazing for everyone. Check out New Delhi Deli and say hi to Bahn, or get a soup and a sandwich at The Piping Kettle. You won't be disappointed.
We are so fortunate to have this downtown market, it's always a great experience. At this time of year with the outdoor farmers market, it adds to the already enjoyable experience, a bonus.
I loved it and I advice everyone visiting or living in London to visit it
Was one of the first customers when it reopened. I brought the then mayor with a team of oxen from Fanshawe Pioneer Village from the Western fair grounds to the market. Anyway, it's not like the old market that closed when I was in highschool. But this is certainly more clean, sunny and open.
Great atmosphere and tons of fresh produce from local farmers
great place to eat and shop if you are downtown. their upstairs is perfect to sit on your laptop and work away. They have a great smoothie place with daily specials. the bagel place in there makes a mean breakfast sandwich too. usually put my order at the bagel place first, then while they are making it go get a smoothie and be ready by the time i get back and then relax upstairs or enjoy their outdoor seating. They have a farmers market on saturday as well that is worth checking out.
There has been an increase in hipster-type of venues at the market, such as crafts and beard products, but there are still some coffee/ meat/ vegetable vendors about. I like the market overall, with its pleasant atmosphere and wide selection of food.
Amazing place to shop for multi-cultural items such as groceries, condiments, etc. Good eateries available too.
Still a nice variety of vendors and artisans. Worth visiting.
Loved being back shopping at the market. Found everything I needed. Will be going back.
A gem in the heart of London, groceries, organic meat and produce, art, wonderful custom roast coffee at Has Beans, enjoy a Burke at the Hot Oven, get something special at Paul Smith Cheese and for a special treat, a truffle from Forrat Belgian chocolates.
On the Saturday I went here every person seemed to be having a hard day, I hope everyone feels better!
Busy place at lunch hour. Love going to Hasbeans and the organic meat store. Lots of other fine places to visit for fresh produce and bakery items. Worth the visit.
I can't begin to explain how amazing the Covent Garden is you have such a town presents the smiles on the owners the hard work is present you can go down for a drink or for some Chinese food or try the Pipe & Cattle they have Nate's for some good middle eastern but new age don't forget to try Oliver Twist they have some very good ribs great bar atmosphere you always have the cheese lady and Glenda's awesome awesome that place has so many varieties of spaghetti noodles you can't go wrong you got Petit Paris or my kid loves all there desserts and could I tell you how amazing the beef is they have two great butchers don't forget about the guy to fix the shoes in the corner he's been there for years take that old pair of boots you like this resole them people always forget about upstairs you have tea place you have the cooking area the amazing art and all of the stained glass windows that preserve the Old Market that once was even good memory about the parrot at the pet shop
We went tu AREPA INK ...gluten free...vegetarian and ????...
Love this place! Clean, busy, no empty shops, places to sit, good selection of food and other items, validated parking, washrooms. It's everything you could ask for in a public market!
Love shopping for fresh vegetables and meats here . The farmers market atmosphere makes for a fun and efficient shopping atmosphere. The food booths have of a great variety of ethnic dishes to offer and each that I have tried are great.
Great selection of stuff but some of the food vendors need to learn about food safety. 74 degress minimum for hot food or get out of the kitchen.
Lots of food choices, prepared, short order, restaurant and take out options. Deli, bakery, fresh fruit and veggies, flowers, arts and crafts and gifts. Events outdoors all year round. Great downtown meeting place.
Nice little place with a lot of local shops filled with food from local farmers. Very diverse in options and produce.
A very nice market located near the court house and nearby local attractions in the downtown area. There are parking options nearby, and local transit is available. The market itself has different items from different sellers. The prices of products extend from being very cheap, to being extortionately expensive. There is local WIFI available, provided by a nearby operator, and ATM machines are located within the building. There are different areas to consume coffee products, and sitting is provided for the convenience of customers. The assortment of products includes meats and fruits/vegetables from both, local and foreign producers. This locality is worth the visit, should you find yourself in London, and desiring a trip to the market.
This place is fancy and pretty but it's very easy to get too many people jamming up the walk ways
Clean, friendly service, still quite a few shops open. Food is still great, and smoothies are the best!
Shops are nice. Food is great. Lots to offer visitors. Finding parking is worth the effort.
I like how you can go in and grab a little of everything from beverages and snacks to hot lunches, Organic fruits and veggies, dips, breads and pastries, and all the way to stopping in at the butchers for an array of the best meats! You can even bring a bone back from the butchers for the dog to enjoy.
The Coop Rotisserie here is amazing. Seriously. Get their macaroni & cheese, and mashed potatoes. Mix them together. After enjoying that beautiful feast, you’ll forever view the world through the eyes of the food Gods. So delicious. Disclaimer: I am also high every time I eat this so that might be why it tastes so incredible. But I’m sure it’s good sober too.
Often there for lunch as I work nearby. Good fresh food, good prepared selections also. I like the presence downtown also. No national chains and all local business owners. Some items can be pricey but generally everything is good. Building is well maintained and there are plenty of areas to sit if you are eating and meeting.
I enjoy going to this market, it gives me a warm reminiscent feeling of the way old downtown London used to be. Lots of quality foods for sale and interesting items, the occasional live music out front really gives a warm welcome. There are sometimes unwanted patron's inside and out of the building, but not the fault of the operation and not overly interrupting the experience. It warmed my heart to see that there is someone operating the Kleiber's european food booth, which was an old food shop back in the old market run by lovely people that were friends with my grandparents. I'd like to know if other booth's are operating under old market names also, but I can't remember any other's. Give the market a visit
I enjoy this market alot I go there just to have a fresh break fast sometime, my fav store is the bakery and the chocolate store.
This is a fun place for the all family s
Good market but try to avoid going if there is a Knight's game on as there will be no parking (everyone is trying to avoid the $15-20 gouging by Impark's lots). I like to go on a weekday and wander (but it is chaos at lunch)...can you tell that I do not like crowds?
We are regular visitors to the market. We love salad bowl, Glenda's, field gates and vegetable and fruit markets. Great place to get your food!
Sorry to be a scrooge but that has to be the worst Christmas market I have ever been to in my entire life! What Christmas market has live performances of Dolly Parton’s Jolene? Christmas carols anyone? ????????????????????????
The stairs to the upper level are currently blocked, so you are forced to use the elevator, which for having to use it for the first time isn't very easy to find.
It was good but places I used 2 go there 4 isn't there now. Also in another reply Para Transits special bus stop Market Lane is now useless 2 me.Bye Market see you @ Walmarts or Farm Boy.
Very convenient for people who live downtown . The staff at all the vendors are courteous and friendly. I'm okay with the prices. Produce is fresh.
I think its a great place to go and enjoy all the wonderful people. Shopping fresh everyday for food. I love it and my finance works atc2 places there. Im from the states and go every time I come to London Ontario Canada
Still a great shopping expérience
I love this place. Love it for lunch, coffee, skating in the winter, live music, original kids, dinner before the Knights game, and some unique shopping opportunities. I don't buy much in the way of groceries from here as it's $$$, but if you need a speciality imported item, rare cheese, special cut of meat or unique spice.......this is the place you will be guaranteed to find it.
The only thing I don't like is the parking. If there was a free parking lot I would go more often. You can find all kinds of great food here.
Lovely fresh market. Lots of food options from around the world. I recommend petit Paris macarons and the cheese bareks.
Loved this place reminds me of St Lawrence Market Toronto but much smaller scale. Lots of variety here and reasonable prices.
This is such a great place! Free WIFI, great food, etc! Someday I'm gonna come back here and spend a lot!
It's a market, not a grocery store. And some of my favourite shops are there...like, The Tea Haus. Unique shopping experience.
The most wonderful collection of local vendors, this market is a must for supporting local londoners. Have never even met a sour soul in my many times visiting this place. They have tons of variety; meats, cheeses, breads, chocolates.. gifts and trinkets. Burritos. Chinese food. Soup and salads. Fresh pastries. House plants. Home decor. Schnitzel. My god the schnitzel. Lots of gluten free, dairy free, soy free stuff if that’s your jam. But jam too, if you need it. Just overall fantastic. Parking is validated for two hours with purchase, however you can park free on the street as well. Tons of outdoor seating & some pretty cute farmers markets on the weekends in the summer, along with all the street festivals that run along Dundas that usually include some Covent Garden Market vendors. Definitely check them out, you will drool.
While I still have fond memories of the old smelly market, I love this place. It's nice for a casual meeting meeting, and has a great variety of food. Not bad for some light grocery shopping either.
Fantastic place to take a date! If you can find it, you gotta try the stand that sells a variety of dips! I personally recommend the dill and onion dip, although the spinach and artichoke is quite good as well and very popular.
There is a great variety of food here, lots of seating, and free downtown Wi-Fi. In the middle of Downtown, great for a quick lunch.
They have an excellent choice of food picks, quality venues. A very nice place to visit.
My mother and I found this amazing market while she was having radiation in London. This is my favourite place, it's such a wonderful market. It's so easy and comforting here, it reminds me of my grandmother's house. It smells so good even before you walk through the door, there is so many amazing buys and so much to look at. The staff are fantastic and amazing.
This is a super amazing little market that I stopped by looking for food quickly and the booths were super fun to look through! A really great spot! We ended up getting food from Little Red Roaster and it was delicious and the service there was amazing. The rest of the staff around the market was also amazing and friendly! I can't believe it took me so long to go check this place out but I love it and will be back for sure!
A wonderful, bustling market of restaurants and food stalls. Amazing variety with a real emphasis on quality, often organic, produce. Includes, but not limited to, two beautiful flower stalls, an astonishing cheese shop, several chocolate shops, coffee shops, Asian food stalls, a Japanese restaurant, two gift shops with handmade gifts, a stall for pet treats, two wildly different bakeries, and I'm sure I've forgotten as many again as I've listed!
There are cheaper places to get local food (e.g. Thomas Bros), but this is a great one-stop place to go and the experience is wonderfully unique. Free underground parking (2 hrs on weekend, less on a weekday) is available if you scan your ticket at the machine in the middle of the market. Would recommend the International Bakery, Petit Paris, and/or the Tea Haus in particular for a visitor.
Great place to find fresh produce, meat, cheese, and bread. Also a great place to grab a quick lunch for under $10. If you work downtown you can also bring your skates and go for a skate at lunch in the winter on the outdoor ice pad.
Cool, eclectic little place, crammed full with many different items. There is a nice little shop full of natural and homeopathic products. Deli, bakery, gifts etc.
Excellent small little market. Hot Oven has the best spinach and creamy cheese bureke if you're looking for a snack.
I love this place. The small business shop owners are friendly, and it's a refreshing experience to have if you (like me) dislike the tiring franchise scene. The variety here is fantastic. Feels like you are in Paris.
Great market! Great food choices and great place to find some unique gift ideas
Covent Garden Market is a great place to get a variety of items such as meat, cheese, chocolates, fudge, coffee, salads, breads fruits and vegetables as well as home made vegan soaps. On Thursday and Saturday there is a great outdoor market. It's a great place to meet friend, look around and go shopping especially since there is 30 minutes of free parking during the week and 2 hours on weekends.
A great spot! Lots of local stores with unique items, fresh produce and plenty of local food vendors. Worth a visit.
Always a pleasure to visit this uplifting place and the vendors are very helpful . They make the food for you daily so it is fresh and ready to eat. Love the flowers and displays. A real community feel and vibe for downtown London.
Really wish we had a market like this in Windsor. Love the health food store.
I think out of all the places I've visited in London, this is probably my favourite. I always love these open markets where you can see a bunch of vendor offerings without necessarily having to buy anything. As usual, a bit overpriced, but it's a very good place for a stroll and maybe a purchase if anything catches your eye.
Wide variety of options. Everything from watch repair to fresh vegetables to delicious sushi. Free parking if you buy something.
Fun lively market experience with lots of delicious things to try
Despite covid, this place is still as lovely as ever. Some places are still shut down, bit the butchers + produce stores are still open and selling great things.
The market is one of London's best common spaces and places to shop or eat or hang out with friends.
I LOVE the Covent Garden Market! It’s a must-see place in London. There are so many local vendors to choose from and foods from all over!
Go on the wknd for the farmers market.
Choices of farm produce, goodies and yummies, with WIFI and free parking in downtown London, can't miss it
Support local and go here. For all your market and small gift needs! Love Tea Haus upstairs, and the Forget-me-not flower shop.
A lot of people go here for lunch and because of that there is a massive patio out front are people too eat and socialize on when the weather is nice out. They could probably use a few more umbrellas out there but besides that, it's quite relaxing. Market itself has nice small businesses and a lot of great unique food for everyone to try. Prepare to bring a chunk of change to try it out though.
One of Winter's delights is skating at the free outdoor rink during the lunch hour, then popping in to grab a hot chocolate or other delectable treat (such as a macaroon, ice cream sandwich or pineapple on a stick) from one of the very many pleasant vendors.
Great market for most anything you could want. Little pricey, but wonderful selection of fruits, veggies, treats, baked goods, restaurant stalls, flowers, gift items, etc.
Sold tulips for the lung association glad to do my part.and i bought 3 pots for myself to give to the ones that i love when you can't breathe what else matters i would like you to name what is more important then breathing.
nice break on a lazy afternoon picked up selections for supper 1/2 hour free parking lot long enough for our visit still cost 2.25. Still plenty of places in city to have same experience with free parking
Absolutely everything here! I bought an entire cheesecake and for lunch bought soup with a sandwich, all were DELICIOUS!!
What a treat to have in downtown London. Many options - easy to park and pay. So many coffee, veggie, fruit options. Awesome staff and security. Clean washrooms, clean floors. Pleasant experience, as always. Be back soon!
You can find almost anything at the market. Cozy yet airy feel.
Absolutely love this place! Everyone is always very friendly. There are so many types of food. Literally you could do a whole grocery shopping trip here. I love this place because it support their local farmers and small businesses!
A good place to get a quick lunch and pick up some local produce. There's an amazing cheese shop with regional and imported cheeses a great little tea shop upstairs!
Its always nice to come here to sit and relax in a semi busy place. I come to sketch, enjoy a nice tea or food from the vendors. Its always nice coming here and enjoying the atmosphere.
The best place to get lunch if you're downtown
Always a good Selection of food items at a reasonably fair price. Staff are always friendly and knowledgable about the products they are selling.
Delightful market for London, a broad selection of baked goods, fresh produce, meats and cheeses along with restaurants, food vendors and two coffee shops (especially Hasbeans who are a London micro roaster founded in 1969). Open year round with on site parking.
Great selection of food, desserts and market items. Parking requires you to verify slip in market, didn't know when leaving and had to pay $2.50 for a 30 minute stop.
Visited the market a couple of days back. It is spacious and has many international food stalls including Korean, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, etc. There was also an ice skating area right infront of its main entrance. Wasn't so crowded by the time we walked in around 2pm on a weekday.
Had lunch from Petit Paris and The Coop and everything was delicious! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. We had tea from The Tea Haus and same thing! Delicious and charming service. It was the first time for my friend dining at these places and you definitely have a new customer. Thank you!
Expensive but very good quality!
Lots of cute stores here and a relaxed feel to the place. Thai delight has fantastic pad thai and they will make it gluten free fresh if you ask. The tea Hause is very cute and has a good selection of teas. In the summer they ice some and the mango mango black is great. Theres also a nice health food store in one corner with lots of vegan and gluten free options.
I've been to the covent garden market about three times so far, and every time there's something new that amazes me! The homemade soaps, carvings, paintings, variety of food and white noise. It's hard to find parking during weekends, so we usually try and go during the week. Tons of events around the area (downtown).
Nice and cozy place. It looks like the Spanish market. You will get hand made stuff. Tasty food
Something for everyone. With a great selection of privately owned shops you will find a wide variety of regional foods, grocers, butchers, and specialty shops. The best lunch option downtown for those who enjoy variety.
Great atmosphere love the little shops and things to browse around and look at. Lots of food choices too.
Lots of vendors, the market offers a nice atmosphere but way overpriced items for what you get. If your looking to save money and get bang for your buck. I personally think it’s worth a trip to a regular grocery store. Unless your stuck don’t pay the absorbent higher prices.
One of my favorite places to get a fresh mind. This place have almost every time street performances, like live music and other stunting shows. Its very peaceful and Instagramable place. One can meet all sorts of people here from youths to elderly. There is an opera house in there too which is pretty magnificent. The market offers you great food accompanying with awesome live music. There are many interesting things in the shops as well like antiques, and so on. Over all its a good place to be in for a hungry person to an Instagram model. #recomended
Great place for locally produced goods. Good atmosphere and the food places are good. Albeit it can be a bit pricy. Still a great option.
Beautiful place to get great veggies and also fruits. Tastey treats , great lunch time spots to get your yummy on, piping kettle offers excellent variety of soup daily including veg and vegan options. The Salad Bowl is one of my stand by lunch and early dinner places. Love it. Great health food stores with friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Also check out the spice rack for all your cooking and baking needs! Hasbeans has got yr caffeine needs covered and right down the hall you'll find Glenda's, a stand with so much good hummus and olives you may completely change your diet to just those two items! No kidding ! These are just SOME of my favorites in the market but go check it out for yourself ! There's some ones new favorite place waiting around every corner !
Good place.... fair pricing most vendors are VERY NICE REALLY family oriented.... my only concern is when I've been during "pandemic" they dont monitor the people @ ALL... I found it to be more packed then when covid wasn't around.... it may be a small complaint but could be a big situation.... still VERY GREAT ENVIRONMENT...????
I know prices do not compare to Trails End, but certainly do with Western Fair market. These two are a different type, lots of wonderful food vendor choices, all kinds of things. Not to mention, the theatre upstairs, homemade kids clothes. Tons of things. Also, a wonderful courtyard with many events. Comparing to other markets is foolish, at best.
Lovely place, lots of hand made shops, centrally located
Lots of selection for food and great unique gift ideas! Great people watching, especially in the summer!
A very eclectic mix of Artisans and one-of-a-kind vendors along with organic options. I got an amazing quinoa - spinach salad at the Salad Bowl. Very satisfying and fresh. The staff are great. You will even find some musicians here in there
Great place to buy groceries particularly if you're looking for something local or just a little special. You'll find a wide range of produce, baked goods, cheeses, meats, and household items from a number of independent local vendors. There are tons of options for take-out or eating on premises. From Shawarma to Sushi to shakes and plenty of other foods that don't begin with S. There's lots of space on the upper level with plenty of tables and chairs. The ground floor of the market is fairly tightly packed with vendors and it can be easy to get a little turned around but it isn't an overwhelmingly large space. Underground parking is available for a price. There is temporary parking available outside but it is limited.
Great place to go for lunch as they have a wide variety of foods available. The grocery shopping is also excellent, particularly Smith cheese!
Four stars only since I came on a Sunday. A lot of vendors/stores are not open or have very little selection on the Sunday I was there. Next time I will make sure it is a Saturday!
If you have Boomer parents and have no idea what to get them for their birthday, this place is huge help. Lots of fresh foods (pizza was the best!) and local crafty/artsy stuff. Reminds me a lot of the St. Lawrence market in Toronto. Can't wait to enjoy the outdoor seating and events in the summer! Definitely a must visit for anyone coming from out of town, or anyone looking for something a bit more unique in the city.
Love their harvest bucks, allows low income people to access fresh fruit and vegetables that they wouldn't be able to normally.
Beautiful farmers market in the heart of downtown London. My favourite shop here is the Tea Haus. Delicious teas and very reasonably priced.
This was a nice Farmers Market but not one of the best I've been to. Although it said it opened at 8 we were there around 8:15 and many of the Stalls were not yet open and the amount of fresh produce available was quite Limited. We went from there to the London market and I must say that I thought that one was Superior.
Good farmer's market. Prices a bit on the high side. Free underground parking 30 minutes on weekdays and 2 hours on weekends. Worth a visit if you are downtown.
90% of vendors not wearing masks WHILE HANDLING FOOD. not to mention the old man parking attendant at the underground parking was extremely rude to us and treated us like we were stupid. First time coming since covid started and never returning.
Pros: - The Tea Haus - The New Delhi Deli - The dude who makes those (Greek?) pastries Cons: - A lot of vendors overpriced - Washrooms WAY over fragranced, and the hand soap stinks - Parking is expensive There's some good specialty items to be found, and some made with great care. Just be prepared to pay for them, and beware the kitsch sellers.
Always fun to visit, for those that like tea, the Tea Haus is amazing. There is also a great coffee shop. Fruits and vegetables are overpriced for usually grocery fairs but for speciality items its a great place to visit.
A great place to buy local fresh food. Many different ethnic food offerings. Perfect for lunch on a work day.
Super tasty quiche pies and the Nutella crepe was excellent!! Fun to walk around and get lunch
Great variety and great quality. Only downside is it's quite pricey.
Some of the vendors are amazing; others, not so much. Hasbeans, the Bowls, Chris' Glenda's Cheese, and the Korean counter stand out. It's really the only location downtown for produce, but as it's really more of a tourist/ artisan market, it tends to run more expensive. That said, I'm frequently there and generally satisfied with the quality.
I can’t add much of anything to all the other reviews. A short walk from my place. I really enjoy shopping here. Some excellent organic options and lots of local items. Good place to get a coffee as well. I usually pick up meat & cheese while I’m here. Excellent spot.
Great place to get groceries and coffee. Unfortunately the security guard didn't like my look. I was followed around like a criminal even though I was spending money. Such is life in these times.
Great food! Clean organic vegetables with reasonable prices. I love this market. Have to try Smith's Cheese cheese once!
so cute! tonnes of fun to walk around in. Theres a great variety of things in here, from food to flowers to little knick knacks. There are a lot of vegan options and healthy things if youre into that
Nice market with many stores to choose something to eat. I ate a delicious meat burek!!!
Beautiful fresh colorful and mostly locally grown fruits and veggies. Incredible butchered meats, bakeries and ethnic food offerings. Must Go To❣
A bit expensive market but a good time pass on weekends with family. Some fun, drama and entertainment by jugglers and magicians. Good stalls by artisians.
Could be better variety food vendors, nice venue for outdoor eating.
Covid I think has made this place pretty unexciting. Not as cool as their Instagram makes it out to be. But it has free underground parking so.....
One of the best thing in Downton
Mixed of local business and ethnic food. Had a variety of local food; fresh and inexpensive. Furthermore, they do have an organic food section. Totally worth it
Lots of great vendors selling just about anything you need. Great place to eat, especially lunch when working downtown. It's fun to walk around and browse though some of the more unique vendor's shops.
Excellent market in downtown London Ontario! Dozens of awesome shops, eateries, cafes, and fresh produce. Parking below and outdoor ice skating in the winter.
Reasonable selection of "fresh" produce, meats, dairy, vegan offerings and assorted sundries. Wide selection of international take away foods. Pricey but handy being in the core.
Very nice market. They have some good restaurant options and food vendors. It’s small but there’s a good variety. The washrooms could be a bit nicer. Overall it’s pretty good little marketplace.
Very cute little market area, lots of different and unique food places. Great place to pick up gifts for birthdays and Christmas
Great place to spend a day there to try all the foods and other amazing things.
The outdoor farmers market on Thursdays is great. Local produce and artisan foods are yummy.
So clean
Beautiful indoor market. Boasts fresh foods from produce to meat. Small spaces filled to the brim. Even has a good old fashioned shoe repair. Haven't seen one of them since I was a child.
95% of vendors NOT wearing masks. Right in front of everyone handing off food that they handle without masks. This not only goes against the bylaw of mandatory masks indoors but is extremely irresponsible and inconsiderate. People shopping are basically the only ones wearing masks. Chris Country Cuts, Smith Cheese NO MASKS and many more. Better Blend Smoothie & Mark’s Fine Meats one of the few that did. Please consider if you want to go to and indoor germ market before coming here during these times.
This is practically a MUST when visiting London. A good oportunity to take a break, grab a snack and walk around the isles to see what is offered. From food too arts, and even some street performances or live music. A nice place to take a break at.
Not what it used to be. More of a food court than a market. Prices are too high.
Good selection of stalls, if you are looking for something specific chances are that it will be here. They also have additional stalls at their Saturday market. The restaurant s are hit or miss, but a few are real gems.
Covent Market it ia on of the places you must not to miss in London. You fine organics products of market and healthy food with local merchandisers.
Beautiful market in the heart of downtown London. Excellent place to go for a coffee, some groceries or a sit down meal. Vendors are great, selection is great, there is lots of seating, too. It can be pricey, though.
Pretty nice market where you can find some tasty meal options, knick knacks and produce(although the produce is no bargain). They even have a natural health store in the market
Great place to go right when it opens. It smells so good and you can have a great breakfast
Always a beautiful spot to grab lunch, get food to make dinner or just relax downtown without the disgusting slobs around.
Wonderful breakfast at Nates Shwarma cafe
It is with great sadness that I write my honest opinion of the Covent Garden Market. Although there are wonderful Vendors in this Market - The Management and Customer Service I received was terrible and I will no longer be supporting this market or its vendors. I moved to Ontario last July and have been a great advocate of this market - There are many vendors that I love and have supported. I used to buy my groceries there - I used to take my family here from B.C - But I will not be doing this any longer. Recently I took my boots to be replaced at Kwiks shoe repair - not only did I receive terrible customer service from this Vendor, but as a young 24 year old woman - I had the Manager raise his voice at me in a degrading way in front of another customer. My boots took 9 weeks to be returned to me and they were still broken after I paid 130 dollars to have them fixed. When I went to take my complaint to the Market Manager I was shocked and truly saddened by the response I was given. The manager showed me little to no compassion and I left the Market in tears. The whole situation has made me decide that I will no longer support this Market until the Market decides to value its customers. As a young person who has tried to take steps to support local business, my experience at the Covent Garden Market has me shopping elsewhere. I truly hope that the management of this market can be restored, but until then I can't support a Market that prides itself on Community - for when it comes down to it they would rather lose a customer then help one.
found a hair in my ice cream! from the ice creamery eeeeeeewwwwwwww the flavor was lovely but a narly greyish brown hair in my mouth means I will NEVER buy ice cream from there again! jalapeno cheddar soup from the salad bowl was scrumptious!!! :)
This place has amazing food to eat and buy. Clean and friendly staff everywhere. Parking is free Sundays for 2 hrs. Thumbs up for this place.
Producer based farmers' market with many organic growers! Excellent permanent indoor selection to make it a one stop shop for all your grocery needs.
Downtown London market offering a great ambiance and a huge variety of quality food. I shop here regularly for both raw food and prepared meals. There is a variety of other vendors offering items from flowers to wellness supplies. An outdoor farmers' market takes place in the warmer weather on the square where an ice rink exists in the winter.
Covenant Garden market is a fantastic place to have a cup of coffee and enjoy the atmosphere inside of the building. I wouldn't recommend grocery shopping because it's not cheap but the stuff is of a good quality that most other stores in the city do not have. It's fantastic if you want a bite to eat, there are many restaurants inside that offer a variety of food. TLDR; It's a good place to watch people and buy really good food/groceries. Also the cheese is really good.
There is a wide selection of fresh and prepared foods all under one roof in the London core, along with the numerous gift shops there's a little bit of something for everyone.
Went to Waldo's restaurant. Have been several times. Good food. Nice presentation especially deserts which are scrumptious.
Fantastic to ice-skate !!~☆ I haven't ice⛸'d in x11 months due to the pandemic & today as well as other nice-weather-winter-days, can be a hindering to the outdoor ice !!~☆
Very good love this place for food but don't go to key maker ever that guy is RIP off on face charges ppl like there is no one else
Multitude of different things to purchase. Fresh fruits and vegetables. Fantastic chocolate. Wonderful teas. Homemade soaps. Great place to shop and support local vendors.
Great place to go on the weekends to put around, get a coffee, change your watch battery, have some sushi, lots of options! The tea shop upstairs is a great place to pick up some interesting blends at great prices, and the health food store has some great vegan treats in the fridges.
Love this place! All the locally grown veggies and meats for a reasonable price plus all the little stores with their gems and gifts, I would highly recommend this place
Great place to go and work on some thoughts and be around people. Quaint and fresh. Its a bit more pricey for stuff, but the quality is worth while.
Over priced and produce, alot of it poor quality.
Love this place ❤ green drinks and fruit smoothies lots of healthy locally grown real food
Wonderful selection of fresh produce, meats and ready to eat foods. Chris's country cuts is great for any of your butcher needs. Great service. The produce stand in the middle always has the nicest looking produce, much of it local. The stuff you wont find at a grocery store. The bakeries have treats that will literally make you droll, and at such great prices.
Most underrated place to go for a meal in London. Prices may be higher, but it’s quality stuff! You can find loads of international dishes and snacks
Wonderful outdoor market on Thursday and Saturday. Grab some local produce, homemade scones and a coffee at fire roasted coffee co and enjoy breakfast outside. They also have awesome icecream and bureks if your looking for lunch (the hot oven place inside sells bureks - ask for sour cream and sriracha)
Great spot for lunch. Tea shop is unique. Good selection of vendors. All small businesses.
A great market in the centre of London open 7 days a week. Easy to get to with many different shops and food outlets. There is a lovely flower shop and some very nice local producers including butchers, bakers and honey producers. Easily reached by public transport and parking is available on street.
A very expensive place to eat and shop, plus the extra expense of their underground parking. The market vendors could really work on their attitude towards customers.Other than the fact that this covent garden market is a london landmark i would think twice about shopping here again.
A nice local market to visit, to give yourself a break from traditional grocery stores and/or stores; a good majority is good product and services. The picture below is from the 2nd annual Maple Syrup Festival (March 7th). It was upstairs, along with a couple other local booths and their home-made products; other sweets, another hour sauce, one beef/jerky, another was a baker, and even an organic vegetable booth was there
you can find a number of interesting shops in Covent Garden Market. 2 hours of free parking is always provided with.
Lots of variety of food and fun! I went here Friday to find just the right size cake for my sons first birthday but unfortunately there was no child size cake to be found or anything small that he would not choke on. My husband ended up going to dairy queen. Still me and my sons uncle rhino had a great time at the market!
An oasis on Dundas St, you can find from an excellent tea on the top floor as varied food or ingredients.
My favorite place to walk through on a Sunday. Great food and a nice atmosphere.
Great place. Some really good food joints and places to buy groceries.
Shop here every week for our fresh veggies. I love it here and the people are so friendly!
I love the market! I discover something something new each time I'm there.
Fun place to people watch. Great of multiple people don't know what they want or want different things. A little overpriced but usually worth it. Soup place is delish.
DON'T GO TO SNACK N BAKE IN COVENT MARKET!! THEY HAVE AN AWFUL SERVICE!! I went with my family and it was my first time @ Covent market and we saw Snack N Bake and I was holding my baby and I had my wife checking the products and then we took a product out of the shelf to check it out and then there was a man working there and he was so rude and he started to shout at us HEY HEY HEY put that back and don't take it out of the shelf my baby got scared and cried. And I just walked away from him. He is very rude!!! My advice to you is don't go to that Snack N Bake place.
I go here for the hasbeans coffee. I have already posted a review of that fine establishment so no need to elaborate here.
Love the place in the north west corner they have balaclava and it's amazing so yummy and all their food is awesome and the staff is even better!! There is a young blonde girl that is just amazing I wish I could steal her and have her work with me she's always super fast efficient and always really nice! Maybe she will let me clone her lol jk!
Super cute farmers market. A little bit of everything and all quality. Only downfall.....it smelled so good, I wanted to eat everything in sight...lol
A little bit of everything in one spot. So many vendors- fresh produce, meals, flowers, chocolate. Very busy over the lunch hour. Be sure to go upstairs to the Tea Haus.
A few years ago I would describe the market as being quaint. It bustles now in a way it never used to. The summer market is always fantastic, the cooking classes are consistently good, and the vendors provide wonderful goods and services. Be sure to hit Smith's cheeses and La Houlette de vie Bakery when he's there.
I love the market. Whenever we're in London we stop here. They have so many great booths and now especially near Christmas such great unique gift ideas. As for food, you can't ask for a better selection of fresh, reasonably priced meals to go, ready in minutes. The tables were cleaned between each patron and protocols were strictly adhered to. Very nice place to visit.
There's a great selection of shops here. Awesome place to stop for lunch, grab a coffee or pick up a few groceries.
A nice place to purchase your groceries or simply just to chill out & enjoy the variety of foods offered. There are seating areas to enjoy your meals or simply just to relax. The place seems quite old though despite it seems to be renovated.
A lovely place to shop. It was closed and locked up but went to see Aladdin with the young actors. A great show.
Fantastic place to meet up with friends, and experience what this place has to offer. Lots of variety to choose from. Its always a treat going to the market.
One of my favourite places in London to hang out. Love the atmosphere, but it's not cheap! Great place to meet friends for lunch or find a small gift.
Good place to go sit down relax have a coffee and a good ???? variety of vendors
It's in a hip part of town and there are many options available for great buys. The price, however, isn't always the greatest. Definitely a good place for singles, couples, and families alike. Due to the layout, however, it would probably be better to go single or in pairs as the walking paths are relatively narrow.
Ample amounts of fresh, local vegetables, meats and baked goods. There are also crafts and various knick knacks. Items are at a higher price point than an average grocery store.
Love going to the cheese counter at the market, you can get cheese from just about anywhere. And I love my cheese.
Not crowded at all the few times I've been this year. Not all kiosks are opened but what is available iis fresh and tasty. Very friendly merchants.
Great place to look around and find all kinds of items and food. Best coffee in london
What's not to like about the market. It has almost everything. Shout out to New Delhi deli.. best curried goat ever! And get some salsa on it too!
You can find some pretty cool and interesting stuff here. Its a good place to grab a bite to eat. Some stores have a unique selection of items but be prepared to pay a little more at some of them.
Starting to look old.....needs updating. Prices are high, in my opinion. A lot of unusual products if that's what you are looking for. It IS accesible and lots of free indoor parking.
I always Enjoy this place thanks
Absolutely sadden that discrimination is now happening at the market and not everyone is welcome.
Love going here just to get out but I always get what I need at many of booths in a short time period. I have not had the privilege of the Saturday morning outdoor market but I have not been let down by the Thursday one yet.
Conveniently located in London's downtown the market has lot's to offer. Fresh vegetables, fresh cuts of meat, Cheeses, dutch shop, health shop that has some vegan options. There is a tea shop for those that like to try different kinds. You can just pick a snack at any one of the many places and sit down and enjoy. There is a free two parking on the weekend which allows you time to get what you need without having to pay gir parking.
Beautiful city market. Great local options. Products fresh. Plants are beautiful but seemed a bit pricey. We visites in the winter, so we were able to see the skating rink in front of the market.
Very nice place to go to and visit. Free parking available (limited duration). Several restaurants, fresh produce, butchers, sweet stores, and souviner shop.
I love the options available inside for fresh produce. While it is pricier, you're not going to be disappointed. The Snack & Bake has great selection for spices, seasonings, and baking & cooking needs.
Great place to buy quality coffee beans or anything from small vendors. Would definitely recommend.
Found the maple syrup we were looking for right away. Things ads easy to find. Thanks to the big florists on thd main level for help with directions.
The outdoor skating rink is free and fun in winter. Inside the market, there's a good year-round selection of the finer things in life -- food, handicrafts, houseplants, apparel, and more. Make a stop at the Tea Haus for a free sample of interesting tea varietals. HasBeans will have some great recommendations for coffee. International Bakery has amazing pizza... Lots of reasons to keep coming back.
Fun. Lots to see. Nice shopping experience.
Good fresh food. Food places are clean. Great for occasional visits.
The owner of The New Delhi could use some work in the customer service department. The people at the Salad Bowl are wonderful. As are the people at that beautiful French place PETIT PARIS!! Thought I'd try Kleiber’s Deli but decided against it when the owner treated me with zero pleasantries. Very unfriendly - figured she must be doing very well and doesn't need my business lol. HASBEANS I would recommend. Great coffee and wonderful service.
Some of the vendors are nice. However I don't think they are all local. Plus the bagel place is run by racists. Yes I am talking about you racist bagel lady. Oh yes you know what happens to racists? they burn in hell.
We regularly make the two hour trip from Windsor specifically for the healthfood store, it is that good.
Love coming here to try different food and grab coffee before work. Great food selection and cool vendors.
Great place to visit. Good vendors with quality products. You are generally paying slightly higher but you are getting added quality in my opinion. Parking is easy! It is a shame is it not open on Sundays at the moment. The limited hours for Saturday are problematic too. Hope it is not permanent as we used to love coming here on weekends.
Love it there amazing place ????❤????♥????????????
One stop shopping for your last minute menu. Fresh and for the most part local product's. Be sure to visit the Tea Haus on the upper level. Gem of a spot!
Very well set up. Lots of shops. Love going there often. Parking is the only problem.
Love this market for fresh fruit, food, baked goods, and so much more! Super clean, underground parking, lots of great stores inside the market and great foods, definitely recommend going here!!
I live downtown but I only come to the market to relax. My favorite shops in the market are the tea haus on the second floor. Best hot chocolate you can find at hasbeans coffee roaster. There is a chocolate shop and ice cream parlor that serves the best peanut butter ice cream, once you've had it once you'll want it every time. It's all hand made. Best pastries at LA petite patisserie. Best lunch, make your way over to the piping kettle for home made soup and delicious sandwiches.
Underground parking is extremely difficult to navigate...whoever designed the angulation for the parking spots must have been on crack. Parking lot is very, and i mean very dark and not easy to find or get to exits. Sorry it sounds like im picking on this place, well no Covent Garden Market is actually a very exciting interesting place to go its just if you use the underground parking it could ruin your trip.
Wonderful place. A variety of foods/restaurants. Mexican, Asian,Italian, breakfast, cafes, meat counters, fruit market, natural foods. Flowers, homemade canning products. Shoe repair. Wheelchair accessible. Under ground parking
An absolutely wonderful one-stop-shop for food, and essentials. From Flowers, to Dinner, Sweets to Cheese, find it here. Most of the vendors offer food and cold drink, while others have resorted to the sweeter side of things. My Top Recommendations here are: If you're in the mood for something South of the border, check out Mercado Burrito, they have a ton of fresh Ingredients to top your fries, fill your burritos, and your bellies. Find premium and affordable cheese at Smith Cheese, From France to Germany, USA to Poland, Belgium to Right here at home, find the cheese thats meant for you. Suiting it's products the Chocolate factory has the BEST dipped strawberries. We need to eat, and we love Meat right? I guarantee the best fresh meat comes from Chris' Country Cuts. Sirloin, to Liver (Ew) they got it and they do it RIGHT.
Great outdoor farmer's market.
Nice fruit and vegetables selection, good prices, the place is very clean... Great ambience and friendly staff...
Nice market with quite a few stalls. Fresh produce in the middle with surrounding shops offering souvenir, bulk stuff, home decor, snacks and more. Parking is free for two hours in their underground parking. Just need to validate your ticket.
Amazing market with many food and shopping options from local businesses! Great, lively atmosphere with lots of spaces to sit and relax. Lots of events. I visited the Tea Haus. They have an incredible selection of high-quality teas and very knowledgeable staff. One of my favourite places in London.
Great atmosphere...local fresh fare..demos FRIENDLY...A FUN DESTINATION ALL DAY GREAT VARIETY...FRESH.FLOWERS ART PRODUCE.MEATS BREADS..JEWELRY HOT FOOD SUSHI. PASTRIES...SO MUCH TO SEE
Many international lunch offerings, from soup/ sandwich combos to thai curry to mexican. Fresh produce, butcher, cheese, flowers. Good security makes this an oasis in the downtown.
Great diversity, excellent food, lots to choose from!
I use to go here in the 1970s. It mostly a open food market. Through the years it has changed. I still love going there. It has a variety of friendly vendors. For me, it's a must visit when I'm in London.
Definitely the best market in London.
There's this one food place in there, right across from the red roaster I had this phillo wrap with greens inside omg it was amazing????❤ I went back to tell the young blonde working there how amazing it was and she thought I was going to say something bad! Lol???? she was friendly and helpful and very efficient she was awesome????????????
Lot of cool stores inside. Picked up local beef and coffee. Also tried sushi. Lets keep supportig local!
Great market! Whether you're here for the Saturday farmers market, on lunch from work, or here for a London Knights game its got all the variety you could need! Well established local merchants offer a variety of goods and services. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. Very Friendly
Firstly interrogation on covid 19..then potatoes riduculously priced along with everything else. Not so great
Very clean place. With wide variety of food available.
Great selection of vendors
Fairly inexpensive parking for downtown. Parked there and went over to Service Ontario to get my Health Card renewed. And then went into the Market to grab a coffee from the Little Red Roaster. Overall, a good experience!!
2 hrs parking underground if you validate in the market was such a great find! A great place to grab lunch, food for dinner, treats for your pet, delicious cheeses, produce, chocolate, tea, coffee beans, or bread. A nice place to take the kids or catch up with a friend for coffee. It's a must see when coming to London. There is often weekend culture festivals throughout the Summer and free ice to skate on in the Winter.
I'd have to say my favourite spot is the cheese store! I'm addicted. I always waste a lot of money when I go there though, I never realize until it's too late. It's definitely worth it for a treat every now and then because the quality of the produce sold here is fantastic, at least in the summer. The butchers' have really good prices though, and they're one of the only places I know around here that regularly sells beef liver and it's extremely cheap here.
Lovely ambience and great variety of stalls.
Always a good visit woth great different foods coffees and very varied foods.vegtables.sweet temptations and gifts...music too sometimes
Covent Garden Market is as wonderful as always. I have visited it so many times over the years and I enjoy every visit
Love every eatery here, from the Bureks, Thai, produce and delis. They usually have seating available, and everyone’s so nice and friendly. Love taking my kids here to get ice cream or to use the skate rink in the winter months.
If you want fresh and top shelf foods this is the place to go. This is where I go to get those different you cant find anywhere else seasonings and sauces and unique food stuffs.
Great local market with lots of variety. Fresh meat, vegetables , fruit and other items like cheese and baked goods. Lots of take out food places, places available for eating on site
Great place to buy all kind of goods.
There's so much to explore here. It's always bustling and feels alive. You can't walk through here and not be tempted to try something delicious. It's a great place to meet for coffee or lunch as there's options for everyone. There is lots of diverse food, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options
I love the convent garden market it's a slice of London's history offering a smorgasbord of fresh delicious food, prepared and unprepared. It's also a great place to buy a gift.
Covent Garden market is great place to meet people for tea at the teehaus. But I do find the food is way overpriced.
My favourite place is hasbeans , raspberry chocolate coffee so hard to find plus it tastes delicious not like chemicals like most other brands!!
Worth a visit! Grab a coffee and a burek and people watch. Best cheese and meat in the city too!
Lots of options for fast healthy food or bring your own lunch and enjoy the surroundings. Or take something delicious home or back to the office for lunch or dinner.
Found Cojita (mexican) cheese at Smith's Cheese - yahoo!! Haven't been able to find it at any other store. The Market was very clean, all merchants pleasant
I love Covent Garden Market & have shopped there for years. This summer shopping at the new Thursday afternoon Outdoor Farmers Market has been a weekly highlight for me. There's also musical entertainment & food sampling. I enjoy shopping Thursday afternoons & always plan a farm to table dinner based on what I find at the market that day. It's a fun, friendly experience that I look forward to every week.
Love the London covenant market for over 30 years been going. Cool crafts excellent produce flowers cheese. Colorful place and people.
Lots of places to grab a quick lunch or treat. Some fresh produce vendors but it's not really a farmer's market. They do have a local farmers market outside once a week in the summer.
Idont like because securities are bab
Not like the older market before renovation. Many things overpriced. There are however a few vendors that are the exception. Hasbeans for example has excellent coffee for home,to go or to stay. Upstairs does have plenty of seating and the west end of the building upstairs does provide a nice view. It all depends on the individual. There are many items for purchase and the square outside is put to use although I personally believe it can be utilized better and more often. The market really needs to embrace the hidden jewel that it is and be so much more.
I've been coming to this market for years, and still love it. My favourite time is when the outdoor farmer's market is on; so many incredible vendors with delicious food. The inside market is not to be missed either - hidden gems are The Tea Haus, the food at the Thai restaurant (a full meal for $9!) and the bureks. I could, and have, spent many days here!
I go to the market all the time. It is my oasis in the downtown. There are so many shops and stores I can always find something to do and a spot to sit on the mezzanine with some tea. If you like places where you can see a whole spectrum of peoples and events and if you like fresh produce and meats this is the location for you!
Love this market especially the outdoor one
Convent Garden is beautiful. It's one place you can go in London and feel like we might actually have some culture besides frat party's and Richmond row. 90% of the vendors are friendly and sell great products, some over priced stuff here and there but in general it's a beautiful place with a serene atmosphere.
Five operator do not believe your health safety is a concern as they do not wear masks and security backs them up saying there in there own space but they are serving food. Think about it.
Another great experience at the market !! Vendors couldn't be more friendly or helpful !!
Excellent open concept market, always a pleasure to stroll through, good quality food items plus great bars and restaurants.
Lovely layout and variety of goods and fresh food and take out meals
This market has an array of different vendors, mostly food related, and is open seven days a week. Lovely place to eat, with its variety of high end take out cuisine. Fresh produce, fresh baked goods, and fresh coffee make it the number one go-to place downtown London.
In this indoor market you can find some of the best local produce, quality cuts of meat, a superb cheese shop, and my personal favourite - Hasbeans, which I'm told by many connoisseurs is not only the best fresh coffee bean importer in London, but one of the most revered in Canada.
Don't get me wrong, it's a nice market with a great feel to it, but everything it so over priced. Tanakaya Japanese restaurant is really the only good thing about it.
Awesome place! Went here on a saturday morning while visiting London before Tequila Expo in November. Basically an indoor farmers market with plenty of fresh meat, veggies, fruits, and spices. It looked like they probably have an outdoor portion to the market when the weather is warmer. Also tons of great prepared food options for takeaway, including Indian, Thai, Japanese, Italian, and Greek. Even had a place for freshly ground or whole coffee beans. There are also vendors that sell plenty of home decor items ranging from plants to lamps. As it was near christmas when we visited, there was an abundance of seasonal trinkets and ornaments. Overall, a great place that I highly recommend checking out if you are in or near the area.
Always lovely food! Also cute items to gift and the ice skating rink is really nice over the winter
The selection is great. Free parking 1/2 hour weekdays 2 hours weekends. The butcher is great and the coffee vendor has a great selection. Cheers
This place is amazing. Everyone one is so friendly, it has options for people with different dietary needs. All the food is freshly made. All of my friends enjoy coming here.
Lots of one-off stores that serve a multitude of different types. Also, a great way to support local butchers, farmers, and tradespeople. It's a wonderful place for an adventure.
This is one of the best attractions of London. A must place to visit, especially on weekends. Friendly vendors, awesome ambience and nice food
