REVIEWS OF Cobden Freshmart IN Laurentian Hills

I recently purchased an advertised item at this store. When it was rung in, I noticed that the price I was charged was incorrect. I waited until other customers had left the store, then brought it to the attention of the young student at the cash. He walked back with me to verify that I was correct. After doing that, he called one of the owners to come and refund me the difference. When she arrived, she said that the price posted was incorrect and the cash register price was the correct one, and that is what I had to pay. I pointed out that I should only have to pay the advertised price. She would not listen to me. She was rude and disrespectful, and she fled to the back to leave the poor student to deal with me. Word to the wise for people shopping here: watch what you are charged for when shopping here and always check expiry dates!

Stay away from this gross convenience store. If you’re desperate it will suffice but shop at Foodland to avoid food poisoning.

Very few fresh vegetables, minimal meat. But it's the only store around

fresh bread and meat! love their sticky buns! it is convenient to shop groceries when living in a small town as it saves me a lot of time and gas to drive and shop in satellite cities. loving the new owners too!

Ceiling is caving in. Filthy. Produce is often rotten. Check expiry dates!!! This place needs to be bulldozed and taken to the landfill. Disgusting.

This place has tons of gems for a small town. I find the BEST assortment of flour here and if they don’t have something you love, they’re willing to bring it in for you! Our kittens were grateful, too!

Dark, dank, run down, higher then average prices and poor selection. Feels like you're shopping in your Grandmother's basement.

Small town grocery store. Can find a bit of everything. You can get in and out on a short amount of time. Think big store ins small package.

Mike Williams

Great place

JC Godin

Very Friendly little place...carries most everything you need!!

Jim Campbell

Not very well run, they need to gut the place. But as is they just need someone who knows what their doing and has a good work ethic, and knows how to organise and order . They need to hire someone to work the produce dept. They would make their money for wages easy

Nancy Williams

I found cheese right in the front that was blue... veggies were old, a lot of expired products... staff was ultra friendly though! But wouldn't shop there...

Konrad Siepka

It is what it is, a small town grocery store. Of course it would be nice to have a beautiful new store, but probably due to low profit margins, this will never happen. Don't expect perfection, just check expiry date on products. For better experience, drive to Renfrew.

Cobden freshmart often sells expired products. From meat to moldy bread to coffee that's outdated by 3 yrs. Shoppers beware. Pretty upsetting when it's the only grocery store in town. Spend the extra 20 min and drive to the next town to shop.

Jeffrey Bennett

Everything is stale or out of stock.

Tiny place but it's a good thing it is there. Better produce on my last two visits.

Cheryl Bagnell

A person could get scurvy from the lack of fresh fruit and vegetables from this store. Outdated shelve items . Not by months but by years. Very few of the flyer items available.

Mike Meadows

Limited selection of items. Expensive. Look at expiry dates!!!

Brendan Roche

Sketchy AF. Wont be going back.

One of my favourite things about Ontario are the small towns and the many shops which support the community. The Cobden Freshmart is one of those which provides all the basics, and then some, of what you need in grocery. The staff are friendly and courteous and prices are what you’d expect for a small town grocery store.

Not much selection - really old decor. The store just doesn't seem cared for.
