Nice groceries store. The renovations definitely gave this place a breath of fresh air. Vast selection of produce. Specials are often quite good. The cafeteria section offers a very decent selection of meals. Staff is friendly and very accommodating. Nice place to go to for quick lunch. I would recommend this place.

Just beware that some items may be slightly more expensive than Super C. Dairy and most sale items a similarly priced. I took one star off because of some of their premium pricing. I like this particular location. The food is offered is the standard for Metro but what sets it apart is the staff. Most people that wprk here have been here fpr a long time. That speaks volumes about the management. If you don't find a product you want, they will order it and shelf it. They tell you when it comes in so you have the opportunity to get it (they dont order a lot if it's not something they've carried in case it doesn't sell so if it does sell) but if it sells well it will always be available. (Take THAT walmart) Now I'm one who loves self check out. The girls here are "fast" but there is rarely more than one cash open which makes it very frustrating when you're waiting in line 20m to cash out. The 8 items or less cash is ALWAYS long. The poor girl working it has to deal with impatient people, bottle returns, annoying lottery people... you get the picture. I'll update to 5* once they install self-checkout stations

Horrible racist clecrks at the fishery counter. Not sure if it's the administration's directive or a single employee's attitude. But absolutely no politeness and not paying attention to customers. Especially asian customers looking for sea foods. No problems ending up at IGA where clerks were polite and courteous ending up spending 300$ on lobsters.

It depends on the night that you go for groceries but a lot of the people "try" to help you out but simply don't know where anything is in the back store or there's a lack of communication ... slight attitude from the "night supervisor" Iwona trying to tell someone in Epictetus to look for my order for a veggie platter and calling it something else got the story all mixed up and when I corrected her she gave me a tone like as if she knew what she was talking about ... ummmm but I'm the customer that's asking it if you... believe me I know what I came here for lol shhhh and I'll continue with the guy who needs instructions ... long story short I found what I needed (thank goodness) but it wasn't reserved from my order earlier in the day. I still brought what I needed for the work Christmas party so all is forgiven but I have high expectations (since I actually used to work for a metro grocery store for 5 years lol it was my first job and I took it seriously and learned so much!)

Cleanliness level is not great either especially at the entrance with a lot of paper on the floor, the full trash and the covid gel station which was quite special. The store was also not very clean, liquids down a few rows or fridge, not cleaned. In short, are there any managers or directors in this store or is it left to himself.? (Original) Je n'y vais que quelques fois parce que malheureusement c'est la plus proche épicerie . Et qu'il y a une saq aussi dedans. Et a chaque passage ,je trouve ça catastrophique . Il est 19h je veux de la viande froide a la coupe...il y a une belle note avec une belle erreur que même moi avec mon anglais niveau 3 je n'aurai pas faite. Voir photo. Et c'était pas 15minutes mais 20 minutes et l'employé n'étais pas pressé de revenir avec son starbucks a la main. Pas Tres professionnel comme habitude. Niveau propreté ce n est pas top non plus surtout a l'entrée avec beaucoup de papier par terre,la poubelle pleine et la station covid gel qui etais assez special. Le magasin aussi n'étais pas tres propre ,des liquides en bas de quelques rangée ou frigo,non nettoyé. Bref ,y a t il des responsables ou directeur dans ce magasin ou est il laisser a lui même.?

was served by Carolanne tonight and it was the worst customer service experience I ever heard. when we placed our order online and picked it up, we noticed we had 2 full bags that did not belong to us but were missing our own! we called right away and she told us to keep it until tomorrow as the manager on duty was nowhere to be found. my child was not fed or had diapers (missing bag) and shes telling us to keep products that did not belong to us! when I arrived to return it since she was being completely unhelpful, she continued to make remarks under her breath to rach employee and laugh. I'm glad they had a great chuckle about this, however I will be going to corporate office about this situation and will avoid her cash at all possible times and metro for a long time until they hire staff that can properly serve clients the way paying clients should be served.

Food is good quality I often use their online service for my groceries because they have a bigger variety than my local one. Although they made mistakes in almost every orders that I made with them. Often it's just that they gives me items I didn't order, other time I would get wrong quantities. But other than that I really like the service but I find it too pricey. 12$ total + the prices of my order for the delivery and the assembly while IGA does the same for 8$.

I don't visit this establishment frequently (only because of my physical handicap) but when I do, I usually come away quite satisfied. The place is always well kept (clean) and the produce is always fresh. Staff is generally friendly and helpful. The prices are not the lowest in the area, nor are they the highest. Depends on what you're shopping for. They receltly added a SAQ (Liquor Store) outlet as an adjunct to the store which can be very convenient.

Staff are friendly but way too busy filling online orders to ensure that customers (and they themselves!) are respecting health recommendations. Maybe it was just the day I was there (a Saturday around 9am) but the place was way too packed for people to move around safely and customers were rummaging through produce (picking up, inspecting, putting back) and the staff were not addressing it. Sadly, I won't be able to return until they are able to get a better grip on things. The Provigo on Newman is markedly better, even if a bit more pricey.

Lazy and dishonest cashier I was served by a very dishonest cashier named Nyhelia who was too lazy to do her job correctly: I had bought 3 heads of cabbage, which were priced by weight. As I was paying, i noticed she had charged the 3 heads at the same price. I asked her about it, and she said they were all the same weight. I didn't believe her so when i got home i weighted them and sure enough, they were all different weights. What a liar!! I went back to the store to complain and get my money back. I will make sure head office learns about this. This is totally unacceptable behavior and that liar employee should be fired right away. If you're too lazy or stupid to do your job decently, you don't deserve your job, period.

I have placed an online order. The chicken breasts tray was open and inside a plastic bag, I had to throw it away fearing it was not good for consomption. A box if soda was damaged and all the cans inside were smashed. It was hard to find how to contact them and even after I found how, nothing was done about it. Weird smell at the entrance. Messy/dirty near the back, not sure if they were removing stuff but it was dirty. Items seem to be all over the place that they aren't supposed to be in. Cashiers are very nice and informative. Prices aren't that competitive compared to maxi but the produce they sell are fresh. I'd only go for small quick items but for a bigger shopping list I'd go elsewhere.

Great salad! Love that they are open pretty late about 11pm every day and that they have a SAQ inside. SAQ Is also opened the same hours as the metro grocery store. It’s kinda cool you can buy your hard liquor and mixers at the same time. However they need to step their game up on self checkout counters. That would make it much faster during peak hours so people with only 1 or 2 items don’t have to wait behind a person trying to buy grocery for his entire family!

Disrespectful. Went there with my daughters to do grocery shopping. I understand its covid 19 crisis. It was 8:45 pm i went there at that time to make sure they didnt have no one in the store for our safety. I was with my neighbor that drove me and my girls to the store. And manager came up and said u know u shouldnt bring ur kids with u to do grocery. What am i supose to do leave them in the car? I dont have family that live around this area to watch my kids or do my groceries for me. Will not be going back there again. I felt like such a terrible mother.

Very impressed with the SAQ. Personnel and products both impressive. My first visit to this IGA and SAQ crossover was a welcomed surprise. The IGA has a lot of options of products to choose from, isles are a bit narrow. Some slight awkward displacement of its products by category and layout. Overall, would be my go to destination if I lived in the neighborhood.

I will not walk into this establishment during COVID-19 again, Sure they have an area to wash your hands...and then you walk into the store - Management definitely has not put any thought into COVID-19 procedures in this store. Everyone is walking around not respecting the 2 meter rule including the employees. No signage in the lanes which way to go, aisles are super small. I honestly was scared and anxious the whole time I was there. I do not recommend this store to anyone who is taking COVID-19 seriously. Management does not take COVID-19 seriously and it's super obvious the minute you step through the doors.

I give the store and it's products 4 stars. I give most cashiers 2.5 stars and I give the rude unsmiling Italian/greek looking 59 year old with shoulder length straight black hair ZERO stars! I will get her name and repost it but it might be difficult as avoid her cash at all times. She doesn't greet you, she doesn't smile, and doesn't say thank you. Is this any way to treat a customer? This woman is usually the cashier at the first check out line. If you're a visible minority, this woman will treat you like a third class citizen.(even though she's a visible minority herself).

Fresh and organized supermarket that just started online order and free home delivery. I have pleasant experience with staffs working at this place. However, they didn't fulfill my satisfaction this afternoon. I received my first online order today, and the delivery guy didn't put his effort to search for my apartment. Ever since they renovated the place, I've seen an improvement in product quality in the fruits and vegetables department. The deli counter always has fresh and tasty prepped dishes. They even have a SAQ branch on premises. The staff, particularly the younger cashiers and baggers & clerks are so attentive and very helpful. My last visit I had asked the cashier to charge me for a gallon of water, which I expected to pick up on my way out, and as I was paying the clerk had already gone and gotten me one ! Wow, Thank you!

If I could, I would give 0 stars. I always have issues with this store and their grocery delivery. They are very careless (So far, I've received old shriveled fruit and vegetables, ground beef that wasn't packaged properly and ended up coming out of the packaging and at the bottom of the grocery bag, blood spilled all over the other items, I had to throw everything out because I couldn't be sure that it was safe for consumption, and I received spoiled deli meat twice now - smelled sour and was slimy!). This last time, my grocery order was missing 6 items (and I was charged for them - so it wasn't items that were out of stock) . I called Customer Service to let them know right away. With some attitude, they said they would issue the credit for the items I called after a week to get an update - they said they were backed up with issuing refunds at this time. (???) It's been over 2 weeks now and I still have not been credited!!! And this isn't for 3 or 4 dollars. For the 6 items that were missing - it's close to $50.00 ! This is the worst customer service I've ever seen. I'll be calling again today to see what's going on with my refund. (Update to follow...) ***Update: I finally reached Metro's customer service. I was informed that the credit was never even issued (possibly a system crash). Very frustrating. But on the plus side, the gentleman that answered the call was extremely efficient, friendly and helpful. He went through the items again with me that I was missing, and issued the credit (the last time- I was told that their customer service would request the credit, but that the store would have to approve it...). Thank you, Jean for taking my call and for being so helpful!!! Metro - you need more workers like Jean!!! Unfortunately, the Metro store itself, still gets only 1 star from me. Is there somewhere I can rate my call to their customer service center separately? Lol

I was pleased to be able to get what I had gone for, a nice top sirloin roast beef that was on sale. It's going to make for a great Sunday dinner.
