Prices are between average and good in general. Lot of indian ingredients and desserts are available. Hygiene wise, I didn't notice any infraction, yet and since the store is too small to host all these products, management decided to make aisles width too small in order to fit them all. I didn't measure the width physically, but it looks to be no more than 3 feet. So for panic situations, like fire or customers fight then there will be a security issue (to my best knowledge) for a fast evacuation in such scenarios. Covid-19 wise, it's almost impossible to keep 2 meters distance of course.

Worst experience ever. Never buy anything from this store, especially NANAK Brand. I had few food items from that brand and as soon as I opened the box, I could smell the bitterness and it was actually expired. I wish I could rate 0.5 star or less than. Stores freezers are not working properly. And moreover, I did not observe any social distancing. I could not even expect this behaviour from Indian grocery store. Please guys be sure to look for every single items and do check their expiry date. Very very disappointing.

I generally liked the selection, but I can't stand stores that go cheap on 50 cents. Wanted to buy something on debit/credit but they insist that the minimum is 5.00 and I had 4.50. I told him it's just a difference of 50 cents. He tried to upsell me with Samosas.... Firstly super cramped and feels really unclean. No pricing stickers on any products, you don't know the price of something until you go to the cash register where they name their own prices on items. Not to mention, card machine only works on Visa and MasterCard, though the fake sticker says Discover as well lol Will go back again to add pictures onto this post.

This store has some serious ‘business etiquettes’ issues. There’s not even an iota of trust or respect towards the customers. I called their store for some discrepancies in the bill and I was dealt with absolute rudeness. At one point they said “DON’T YOU HAVE EYES TO SEE THE SCREEN WHEN THE BILL WAS BEING PREPARED?” Nobody in the world (let alone in a developed country like Canada) deserves to have such shopkeepers with such a distasteful and disrespectful attitude. After reading the reviews here, I noticed that I am not the only one to have faced this. RUDENESS and CHARGING TWICE seems to be a common practice at this store. Make sure you check your receipt right there. I don’t think these people are serious about their business.

Little expensive prices than other Indian stores. If they dont put normal process . Some new competitor gonna start store in lasalle with genuine prices and take their whole cx in one shot. This is absolutely true they have expired date product but they dont force anyone to buy . If you hav issues make a official complaint as google reviews wont help. Although this is major health risk to sell expired products in store in canada. They can get in trouble if they did not mend their ways of working. All indian snacks are available good choice of products. I bought some cheese tofu in bulk and dates were okay but still taste was so bad I did garbage all of them. So only buy products where you are sure that it is fresh! Rest you are on ur own until Unless they start getting serious about product in store with expiry dates. If food inspectors visit their and see expiry date products on shelves they ll Get a big fine ticket. Public need to know how this country works . You don’t have to argue go by legal way if ur rights has been mishandled. As per law they have to follow healthy food guidelines. Hope they will take this msg seriously as they care for customers.

Oh thank God for this grocery store!!! It has everything an Indian grocery store should have. My husband and me have moved from California to Montreal and our first time at an Indian grocery store(another store) was so bad because they didn't have any variety and barely any products which kinda scared me thinking that Indian grocery stores are not the same! We were in the area of the Chauhan brothers and so we happened to go in to only guy pickle thinking all Indian stores should def have some kind of pickle if not a great variety and to my pleasant surprise this store was jus like an Indian grocery store u find in Cali! It had everything, from fresh vegetables, Indian pre packaged snacks, oils, flour,rice, frozen Indian foods, paneer, rotis, etc. They even had a food counter next to the cashier where u can buy Indian sweets and some savory snacks. We bought quite a bit from this shop as I didnt have Indian items at home yet. Their gulab jamun is better than the motichoor ka ladoo and really good. Didn't quite like their samosas but then again I'm from Bombay and our snacks and cooking is quite different from North India.

This is the best Indian grocery store on the island of Montreal.....The most cleanest and most organized Indian grocery store....the owners and the staff are extremely polite, trustworthy, and will do everything to please you....they keep a very wide variety of Punjabi, Gujerati, South Indian, Bengali Sri Lankan and Pakistani foods.....there is enough room to move around inside the store and they follow all safety protocols for covid 19....social distancing, wearing masks... In terms of cleanliness and organization Chauhan brothers can be compared to the Canadian grocery stores The quality of the fresh perishable products are very good and very well displayed ....extremely clean....this is a must visit for East Indians looking for clean quality products....I am so happy that this store is in LaSalle.

Pity when you buy call (phone) card they ask you cash only now. Until recently you could pay with any card they'ld accept. But seems like they are more money centered now that they don't get that much profit on selling call card and paying with debit or credit. For sure they have to pay a fee like for any items using a card to pay, but they shouldn't choose what can or cannot be paid by debit/credit. When you get to a store, you expect you can pay with most type of card and you don't always bring cash with you. Very upset when the guy at the cash said he wouldn't take my debit card as i was buying phone card only. It wasn't such before. Management, please review this way of payment. We are in 2021 and anyone should be able to pay with a card no matter the minimum amount they've spending at your store. The shop is actually nice, but this just upsets me and hopefully other customers are not experiencing similar discrepancies on other product in this store. The management will probably reply, thanks for your review we'll take it in consideration, but in the end nothing will change. Hope it goes to a good ear. From a loyal customer. Quote : " We are so sorry that you are not satisfied with us still thank you for your feedback! " Sounds like a generic reply you have for a lot of negative comments on here regarding the store. This shows the upmost importance you give to customer appreciation and satisfaction. Personally, this type of answer reflects the 'f..k off' type of attitude if you don't like the way we do in our store and that makes me think twice if i should shop there again. This is not just about me shopping at your store, but it's about all customer service and customers who will see how you deal with complaints accordingly or you just try to slam the door gently in the customers face by sending such a disgraceful generic reply. Think twice before you reply as everyone online who shops there can read.

They have a lot of good stock of Indian/Asian food. However, please beware when you buy from this place. Make sure that you match every item you buy. They are very opportunistic and would make sure to charge you twice for the same item or charge an enhanced price. Initially I thought it was a mistake by the cashier but it has happened to me several times. Few of my friends who used to buy from them confirmed the same. You can never go back and tell them because their bill will not show you the exact items you buy. Instead it shows 'legume", for anything you buy making it impossible to track. One of the brothers who run the shop is extremely rude whenever you express your dissatisfaction or doubt!! I used to buy a lot from them, but these days only go there for items which has listed price and not available elsewhere easily. Very cheap mentality. May be they will become rich this way but not for long.
