REVIEWS OF Kitchener Market IN Kitchener

Kathleen von Balson

Crowded, but full of good things = fresh produce, meat, seafood, bakeries, and even fine chocolate! Something for everyone!

Trapstar Meec

First time there last weekend. The prices were really reasonable and not to crowded. I will definitely be going back.

Emma McBride

A good spot with good prices and a wide range of variety. Haven't been there in the winter, but during growing season it's got some amazing stalls.

Anthony Lajoie

Best place for local fresh fruit and veggies. Great meats. Get there early Saturday morning.

Andenet Ayalew

You can get fresh and fair priced agricultural products here.

Murray L.

Great food , good prices. Worth the trip. A little crowded, but I've seen worse. Watch out for the Salvadoran restaurant upstairs, they are terribly slow. If your looking for European meats and baking this is the place to go!

Fernando Henrique

The best part of weekend for sure. Awesome variety of produce, vegetables, fruits, meats, cheese, baked goods, anything you want. Always a great atmosphere with good live music, nice people, and the restaurants upstairs to top it off with amazing food from cuisines all over the world. I love this place!!!

Gautam Solanki

I love this place! Enjoy delicious worldwide food with music while doing shopping fresh vegetables!

JonNArianne

Great market, especially once you find your favorite farmers and vendors.

Brett Vandermey

Took the opportunity to ride the ION for free to visit the market with the kids. A fantastic way to spend an afternoon. Support local business, it's important.

Roy Singh

Nice place to buy some cheap vegetables and fruits. The meat and seafood is very expensive though. Also a nice outing on a Saturday morning.

Dave Gardiner

Love the fresh Ontario produce

This market has consistently great vendors and clean, inviting eating areas. Well done City staff

So many fresh fruits and vegetables stands to pick from! And all at very accesible prices!

John Holmes

I had the best spaghetti there. I wish I could remeber the name of it. Its right by the tables overlooking the farmers market. Great spaghetti!!!

Zhanel M.

Good market located in downtown thus making it difficult to find a parking spot nearby on Saturdays. There is variety of dairy products, baked goods, veggies, fruits and honey. You can even find wine there. There is not enough sitting space …

Ian Lawrence

In my opinion, this is the best market in the area. Great selection and vendors are super friendly. It's best if you can take the ion or walk. Traffic get congested in the morning.

Nicole Hannusch

Walking to the market on Saturday mornings is one of my favourite things. Great coffee, frequently fantastic live music, excellent produce deals. This market is a little lighter on meat vendors than St Jacobs and significantly lighter on non-food vendors, but I prefer it.

Brett

Love having this year round market so conveniently located. Always a great place for fruit, veg, meat, and even great breakfasts and lunches upstairs!

melissa todd

Love our Saturday trip to the market for chesse curds and fruit. Always amazing friendly ppl and lots going on great way to start the weekend

Hein Low

Awesome community gathering place. Tons of fresh produce all year round and quite a few places to eat at. Indoor parking. A lot less hectic than the Waterloo market.

Christopher McMahon

If you go to a farmer's market for groceries, this is far superior to the St Jacob's market. It's compact with a lot of good vendors. It's obvious what's local and what isn't, and the prices are great. One drawback is that the parking is a pain, so it's better if you can walk or take transit.

Emily Godin

Not quite as much to look at as St Jacobs Market, still has everything you need. the Kitchener market is quite folksy. Definitely worth visiting.

Katie Goodfellow

An excellent variety of vendors, with local farmers and resellers clearly labeled. They've done a great job with COVID safety, and make for an excellent weekend outing right downtown.

Sawdeep Singh

Very crowded .. i believe you need to there early morning.. parking is very busy. Make sure to bring cart with you otherwise it will be difficult to shop

Sam Hossack

Kitchener Market is possibly one of my favourite places in KW. Brunch options are plentiful and the produce available during the Saturday market makes all other grocery shopping seem obsolete. Bring some cash or get some at the ATM because it is hard to resist the sight and smell of all your nutritional needs. Plus delicious handmade chocolate. And if food is not your thing there are great crafts on the upper level. Child minding and live music are also available on Saturdays.

Manar El Mugammar (Manar The Star)

Great variety of fresh produce and crafts vendors. Hot food kiosks and cafes on the second floor and great local fair like honey and wine. Not stroller friendly, very crowded. Limited parking. Many vendors are cash only.

Martin Couturier

Good sized farmer's market with cheap prices and lots of options - fresh produce, meats, cheeses, baked goods, flowers, etc.

Andreas Kyriacou

Well organized market during pandemic, decent amount of variety of products, and can’t go wrong with apple fritters!

Ajay Jagdish

Excellent place ... Absolutely lovely on Saturday.. Farmers market is worth the weekly wait. Amazing people. Fresh veggies to stock for the week. And last but not least brilliant choices for a fresh meal from the variety of food outlet there

Ramesh Thapa

Just a fruit n veg market. Pitty its only opened one day a week.

Igabod Clarke

Now that the autumn weather is almost upon us, this is a great place to get fresh produce, meat etc. And warm up with a nice hot tea !

Azim Hoque

Very busy, tight and not very convenient. But was nice to lots of local vendors and farm produces

Eva Shaughnessy

Great deals, once a week for goods when the weather cooperates. As you can see, some wonderful views, Enjoy ????

Yury Goldaev

It's a great place to go for grocery shopping on a Saturday morning. My wife often praises produce there as the best available in Kitchener-Waterloo. Raw and cooked meat selection is also great. The only downside is their underground parking lot that is often overcrowded.

Dan Young

Great local market - a consist weekly stop for our family. Favourites include Norris bakery and Charles meat.

Tim T.

Great selection of local produce and the international food vendors upstairs are excellent as well.

Carol Ruddick

Great farmers market...fresh,local and good prices. Afterwards we went to 'Simply Delicious" in the upstairs good court for some deeeeelish Shnitzel. A great olSaturday morning out g with the Family.

Kirtikumar Kotaria

I m call to D F M becouse of farmar r direct selling his owen fresh fram products.just like all type fresh vagetable, fruts, and more food product avelable.

J Carnahan

This is the largest and most diverse market in the cities of Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge. With lots of parking available it is easy to come and go. It also has a large array of restaurants inside and out. My favourite is the Yeti. Heather makes an incredible pregnant cowgirl ... an egg and bacon sandwich on a toasted bagel. so good!!

ROB Anderson

????

pbwizard2007

Lot's of vendors. Great farmers market with plenty of places to stop for a quick bite to eat.

LUCKY

It is very nice and affordable market. Price is very genuine.

VHS Shoebox

Good produce, but long line up to get in, due to covid.

Jeremy bunston

Amazing food selection and atmosphere!

Mehdi Zargar

Farmer's market with both locally grown and imported fresh produce.... Incredible prices! Great produce! Fantastic variety... Only open on Saturdays till 2pm

Sean Fullerton

This market is finally getting it feet under it, its felt like a white elephant for a number of years, but it may be finally finding its own way. The vendors are normally very good, and its nice to find familiar faces week after week there, the buskers are a bit much though, the cello player and the viola/cello combo are splendid, but the rest are hostile I find, the banjo player (you know who he is) needs to really find a new selection of music, I have heard Old susannah more times than I care too, sometime i get to hear it 3 times in one shopping trip.

Manav Koroth

No parking place. Certain vendors are not very friendly and welcoming. Loads of meat stalls but couldn't find goat/lamb meat at all and that was disappointing.

Mitchell Richard

Always my favourite market. Inexpensive produce. Great selection of meat vendors.

Howard Lenos

Great venue for breakfast and fresh produce. Nice Saturday outing with live music on the plaza.

Dave N

Great venue, great location downtown!... farmers market by day and entertainment by night. Attended the David Bowie tribute night with my son and loved the featured local talent! No one played Rebel Rebel :( but the food and beer was great, and people were great, Way to go Kitchener!

Lila Durán

We cannot live without the produce from this place. You won't find better leafy greens anywhere. Also, they consistently have good quality yet relatively affordable avocados! I'm talking 3 delicious, ready-to-be-eaten-this-week avocados for $4 or $5! Try to look around the entire place before purchasing because the prices vary from week to week and it's not always with the same vendor. All in all, amazing market, I wish it was available year-round!

Jennifer Haliburton

Great Food- both to take home as well as to enjoy while at the market. Ensure that you check out Charles Quality Meats. Make sure you speak to the produce sellers so you know who is the grower, who is selling local produce vs someone who is selling produce they bought at the Food Terminal distribution centre.

Fraser McIntosh

Great surprise during my morning in Kitchener. Wide selection of vendors, awesome variety and prices for produce. Many appealing options for breakfast and lunch.

mark morning

Wonderful place in Saturdays to get whatever meat or produce you desire. Pretty sure I got 1000 blueberries for $5 today.

Andrew Ostrander

overall the Covid-19 restrictions were well put in place however saw a vendor downstairs protesting masks with a statement on their mask

Laura OrignallyApple

Always enjoy visiting the market especially for deals on fresh produce you would never find in the grocery store!

Sachiko Yamaguchi

We got nice bread, meat and cheese to make a sandwich. It was expensive compare to a grocery store, but quality and taste was great. And also, we had good experience. Vegetable and fruit are cheep!

Dr William Alejandro Martin

A great mileau of people who know one another and take pride in delivering organic, non gluten produce and baked goods. It costs a bit more than the supermarket, but it's worth it.

Bernadette Magno

Best place to buy fruits for smoothies or to eat it

Alexander

Had a good time here. Good mix of meals, food and entertainment.

Miho Hashida

I love fresh vegetables and fruits too! Around before close one hour, will be start discount. But, not all shop.

Krishnendra prasad

Kitchener Market, which had a working name of Cedar, will be a stop on the Ion rapid transit system in the Region of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. It will be located in the Cedar Hill neighbourhood at the intersection of Charles and Cedar streets, about 100 m south of its namesake, the Kitchener Farmer's Market.

It's me Leah

Love supporting the local community. Excellent goods from around the area at fair prices that always are accompanied by smiles.

Bruce Gamble

Great urban market where you can buy your farm fresh groceries. Also an interesting food court with tasty options to try.

Carrie M

Prices and selection are mostly great. Go early morning to avoid the crowds. Also vendors accept cash only. I wish some of the vendors would stop trying to sell damaged or rotting produce at full price. (Although I haven't asked for a reduced price. ) I just don't like to buy items with rotten items on top.

Ellen Papenburg

Great buzzing place! Fresh quality vegetables, fruits and other food items. Great price, and selection. Food court upstairs with delicious choices and different cultural kitchens. Craft vendors with loads of interesting gift items. Live music and events for kids. All inside a big building. Although part if the market is open on weekdays, the FARMER'S Market is open Saturday 7am-2pm. Elevators / wheelchair accessible. Only closed on statutory holidays. (See website). We never miss going to the market! Easy by bus (7) and always have breakfast there. Highly recommended.

Dan Goulet

Always a good time. Great produce, great vendors. Much better the st.jacobs.

Daniel Gil

Egyptian and Moroccan cuisine along with a dining area makes this Saturday morning visit delicious and nutritious as one finds great deals on produce.

Victoria Givlin

Always love the market. Fresh food, people that care about their produce & product, supporting local and making a difference in our community : giving back to our hard working farmers! Also more affordable and better quality then most grocery stores these days. It's a win-win all around!

Stephen Lizak

(Only visited on Saturdays) Fresh local produce, great food upstairs, and competitive prices. Has a small play area for kids and live music.

Andrew Murphy

Lots of variety of vegetables, fruit, meat, dairy, and baked goods. Sadly it's not berry season any more so my visit was fruitless. *hah* (I can get berries imported from S.Am. in the usual shops.) Very crowded and loud though, so not great for anyone with social anxiety. If you visit, be sure to read the lovely poetry painted on the flagstones out in front. 8)

Jay Bird

I have been to many markets over the years and must say they have done a great job with how they have run the market in kitchener, from various vendors on the weekends and wednesdays through the summer. They host a wide range of events and services on a ongoing basis, from weddings, stage and doe's, Craftober fest, Top Chef, and the list goes on. They have food vendors serving some of the best eats in the region 7 days a week all day long and gives you a unique multicultural culinary experience.

lokesh sundaram

It's a really nice place.. fruits and vegetables are fresh and the quality is good

Filip K.

Why is it that the produce lately seems to be really poor? Peaches and some other fruits look like they were previously frozen and rot quickly. Prices are higher than the supermarkets but nothing is better. There is little reason to go here anymore.

Audrianna Moore

I like coming here once in a while because they have lots of good prices for produce. They also have lots of small shops that people sell their creations (whether food or not) for decent prices (you wont get chinese product prices but the price is fair as the goods are high quality). I love the food court though. Lots of different selection, but beware that some food stalls are cash only. There are atm's in the building but you might wanna stop by your bank and pull out $20-40 if you plan on doing some major shopping at the farmers market because its all cash.

MIRO LUKIC

Great place with variety of fruit, vegetables and meet products.

amanda g

I just get my fruits and veggies here which are very affordable. Nice vibe to this place, friendly people. Good selection as well epecially in summer time. Would reccomend

Mario Stocco

Good produce. We like the convenience of getting what we want and getting out, yet there are lots of offerings. The convenience factor is what makes it better than the St. Jacobs market.

Tenzin Gelek

It's beautiful ! there's lot of fresh fruits and vegetables Fresh Meat Let's have a look at these picture you can figure it out.

Dan Proulx

This place is better than St-Jacob's market but like that one, parking can be a nightmare; come early or late to avoid it. It is a Farmer's Market, not a flea market. Having said that not all vendors are farmers and I tend to stay away from the Toronto food terminal distributors; that is not always possible, and not all distributors are the same. Some are much better than others for the quality of the produce. Great vendors inside, ie Casbah for middle eastern food. Entertainment is always enjoyable.

Steve Martin

There's a welcoming atmosphere at the Kitchener Market. There is also a nice variety of tasty foods and beverages.

Gary Caravaggio

Lo e these guys!my original crew fn solid.

Shannon H

Not a lot of mask wearing...dumb farmers.

Rob C

Great atmosphere. Perfect for grabbing a bite to eat & coffee and then doing your shopping for the week afterwards. You can be sure it’s better quality & fresher than most grocery stores: and 100% local! Really enjoy making this our Saturday routine!

Elizabeth Romero

This Market is so much bigger than our local market. We will be coming back. Friendly farmers and great selection. Prices were very fair.

oladotun fawehinmi

Variety of local options for fruits and vegetable . The amazing part it is right in the downtown

Ted Martin

The market is still missing a lot of vendors, but it was good to be able to shop there again after the three-month shutdown.

Joanne Lenos

Always a nice place to be mid morning on a Saturday when the market crowd is thinning and the Kitchener summer bands play outside (weather permitting). Lots of activity happening there. A great meeting place. Market has many vendors inside and out (seasonal). Good variety. Just as good as the St. Jacob's market, but much quieter with less people.

Pranabesh Das (Pranav)

My go to place for breakfast and in weekend. Actually that is one of the highpoints of my usually boring week in Kitchener-Waterloo. Good place for freh fuiys nad vegetables. Try Crepes with Ricotta Cheese, fruits and ice cream from that Crepes place in the market and don't forget to thank me later. ????

Bee Vee-Kay

Subject : A nice place to get fresh vegetables. But not my first choice for anything after I got my car Best time : Saturday mornings to noon Pros : 1. centre of town - easily accessible by walk or public transit 2. fruits super cheap 3. Vegetables is fair in price 4. Nice to see many faces who cultivated those products 5. nice place to hangout with kids. There is a kids area Cons : 1. Not easy to park your car. 2. Too congested to walk or push your cart 3. Back to the past - all shops accept only cash. No credit or debit card 4. It’s not all day all week thing. Only open on Saturday till 2pm ( for fruits and vegetables ) 5. Fruits and vegetables don’t last long as compared to one you buy in Walmart or sobeys ( May be its due to these guys don’t use preservatives or have nice fridge to showcase the produce ) 2 things to look for 1. Double yolk eggs 2. Smoked fish

Timotei Prisecaru

Great market environment and experience. Definitely a must if you're visiting and want to touch base with your local community. I recommend Simply Delicious as the food is amazing and make sure to try their schnitzel!

Donna Batten

Haven't been there in a while but it's a good place to get fresh food

CK DeGraaf

Great vendors to pick from. Local fresh vegetables and fruit. Artisan chocolates, soaps and crafts. Florists, butchers, bakers, candle stick makers the Kitchener market has them all

Ekrem Oksar

It’s a great place for everyone to get fresh vegetables and fruits .

Michael D

Awesome. Such a great market, good layout, friendly people. Great deals and quality produce. ????

Tim Kecskes

Upstairs is basically a food court with multiple independent vendors. I grabbed a tasty sandwich from the Breadbaron sandwiches.

JusTinaLane

Just great. Whenever Saturday's roll around we r up by 8 ready to get some great deals.

Archana Ling

So much choice and variety here! Great food options & fresh produce. Prices were amazing too!

Barun Sengupta

Amazing market right in the heart of downtown Kitchener. A nice representation of old and simple life. So many local vendors with fresh vegetables and fruits. A great selection of meats, cheese and fish. Variety of good bakery options as well. And very cost effective too. What more can you want. A must visit if you are around.

Michelle Goveas

Go earlier if you can, the selection tends to be better and fresher. Vendors can be found outdoors and inside. And there are also great places to eat at upstairs, including Caribbean, eastern european, pizza, apple fritters, and a couple of regular breakfast stalls.

Rachel

I love coming here on Saturdays for the market. Upstairs is an area for a lot of good brunch options. Downstairs you have a fresh food area. It's cash only. You can get blueberries, strawberries for $1/box. Beware of the avocados though, they are cheap but I've had a full batch of bad avo's. You pay for what you get for. I think the fruits are good if you plan to eat all of it in the next 2-3 days. They won't last too long.

Kayla KB

Everything you need. Lots of produce selection at a good cost. Meet/cheese/spice stand as well as bakery. Can get busy but worth the experience. The building is well kept with tons of food stands in the upstairs.

josh comeau

Great good from vendors upstairs produce an fruits vary below on how long they keep meats are fresh an good

leigha dooley

I ABSOULUTLY LOVE THIS MARKET!!!! ITS ONE OF MY FAVORITES...Its has lots of vendures ,great prices and upstairs has different food vendors with authentic cusine from other cutures...FOOD IS AMAZING MUST TRY ONCE!!!

Io Kaat

Awesome place. Great prices on meat and eggs. There's also a place that sells ketogenic bagels, but they're a little pricey albeit delicious.

Kevin Maltby

Lots of great local food vendors. Always things to do with little ones. Some awesome little restaurants. Great selection of cheeses, meats, breads and a combo of local produce as well as cost friendly produce from around the world. Be sure to check out the after hours cooking programs too.

Larysa Vaz

Great deals on fruit and veggies. Can sometimes find organic products. Have to be careful sometimes as some of the produce can be near its expiry date. There are some great restaurants that serve a great variety of yummy foods on the top floor!

Amina Asif

It would say just wao... i took some strawberries from there and they were so fresh and tasty...now i visit that place every week to buy fruits for enjoying my homemade smoothies????

Shelby Lou

Love this market! Fresh fruit, veggies, meat and much more. Friendly people and great environment.

Annika Jayne

Feels really nice to be supporting our local farmers, and brands that have been developed locally.

Crystal (Cris)

Love getting our fresh fruit and veggies from here on the weekends. Fresh farmed foods for reasonable prices!

Suresh Doss

The longstanding market has evolved over the last few years to become one of the best local/international markets in the region. …

matsiepan

Very clean and well-maintained. Lacks the old world charm of the old building (and when Norris Bakery did Oktoberfest sausages) but is still a fun experience. The better parts are the older vendors who sell more ethnic or traditional fare (German baking from Sproll). Would be nicer to have produce vendors not selling packaged fruit from the U.S. but that seems to be a standard at farmer's markets now. Food court has a decent variety but the non-food vendors options have immensely decreased from the old location.

daniela gosselink

I love coming here on Saturday mornings. Whether I purchase something, or meet with family for breakfast this is a wonderful place.

Cameron Morland

Great place! If you need to drive, it's a good idea to park a few blocks away.

Kaab Omer

Great place to do your groceries and great shopping experience if you're looking for the bazaar-like vibe. They have all types of produce/meats/cheese/etc. Price point varies depending on the vendor. The market is, obviously, at its prime in the summer. But even in the winter, it is totally worth your visit (it is indoors). I do my weekly grocery shopping from there.

Reza Godaz

It is a good place for buying fruits.

Angela

Great places for local food.

el biano

I love it here my parent get fresh veggies and pree much everything for a grate price. Plus things are way fresher then food basics or most big brand stores. Foods are local helpung our community prosper.

Joel Grace

Bustling local market with a great selection of local meats, cheeses, breads, flowers and of course farm fresh veggies.

Gheorghe Curelet-Balan

Friendly market with diversity of affordable farm, home / hand made products (veggies, meat, eggs, honey, spices, pickles, cheese, bakings, chocolate, pies, cookies, etc). You can enjoy upstairs a fancy coffee shop & food court hosting live performances indoors or outdoors during main events like Oktoberfest or St. Patrick day. Free Saturday parking is convenient.

Israel Cefrin

I always give a stop by to have a fresh coffee at Serrinia Café, to buy their beans for grinding and their flavored ground coffee to brew it at home.

June Macdonald

Currently doing one way traffic to control numbers and crowding. It gets a little confusing and roundabout. But grateful it's open!

Cy Anyde

Fresh farm grown produce and dairy, literally fresh from the farm. You legit can't beat this freshness and value unless buy a chicken and a cow.. not to mention the land to grow any vegetables and fruit you could possibly want. Plus it is just a super cool experience. Hotot them up every Saturday. The earlier the better.. To (you know farmers) ;p

Mike Pitura

Nice to see this place is busy. The outside picnic tables where you dont need a vax pass to eat needs to be cleaned more often. Food debris everywhere.

Terry Pender

I live two blocks from the Kitchener Market. I shop there every Saturday I am in town. I frequent several merchants inside that produce quality, local food. Nelson at the Unfactory Farm (eggs, produce and whole, frozen poultry, all certified organic and from this area), Mary at Bast Cheese, Almdadina Egyptian Cuisine (hummus, pita, stuffed grape leaves and samosas), Doug's Honey, Serrinia Cafe (locally roasted, fair trade and organic coffees). If you are new to the market, take your time. There are lots of re-sellers, or merchants who pick up product from the Ontario Food Terminal in Toronto and bring here to sell. So you can buy asparagus from Peru in September. But there are also many vendors selling produce grown within 100 kilometres of here. The Kitchener Market is the busiest spot in Downtown Kitchener on a Saturday morning, attracting at least 10,000 shoppers. It is a real jewel.

Ioana Suteu

Love the Apple fritter place and their Langosi served with cheese, garlic and sour cream !!! That is always our first stop and then we go shopping for the rest !

Irah Ryphson

I get my duck eggs here. There's a good selection of produce, cheeses (especially sheep and goat cheeses), and meat cuts. Some vendors here are also at the St. Jacobs market so its really great if you dont want to have to go all the way out there. You can even get rabbit and some nice coffee. Can be a bit more expensive than the St. Jacobs market but more reasonable basket sizes for smaller households

Sandra Simpraga

Fresh produce and sellers that I know for a decade make my weekly, Saturday trip to market a breeze.

Jordan Wilson

Great value for your money, fresh produce, seasonal produce is always the best, always A+ service giving us their full attention and nothing less.

mike winkler

Lots of fresh products. People are friendly. Busy but not too busy.

Michal Recka

We shop here every week and it's been very pleasant experience. Lots of options to choose from and we enjoy the convenience of so many local vendors at one spot and often with even cheaper prices than in a supermarkets. Especially the seasonal food is usually much better than elsewhere.

Shaneika Bailey

Great variety of vendors. Always good prices. Walk around first, don't just but at the first stall!

Anne Clemmer

Bit of a chore to get to; but looking forward to trying thr A2 cottage cheese and A2 sour cream

Masoud Mousavi

Good selection of fruits and vegetables. Some fruits have gone bad.

ing ing

First time to get there and buy produce. I love it. There are so many selections.

Tilak Acharya

Nice, you get vegetables and fruits at lower rates. Most importantly you get fresh products there. Highly recommended.

Christine Moncrief

Fresh everything! Good prices and variety. Social atmosphere. Crowded though.

Dawnne Fiorillo

We have our favorite vendors that we go to for meat, dairy, breakfast and coffee. They have the BEST organic coffee. They know us quite well so we don't even have to ask, they know what we want. The same with our breakfast!!

M Singh

This very popular Saturday market is all you need to visit to complete your food shopping. They have fresh vegetables, fruits, breads, flowers, cakes, pastries, meat and eggs all at a very low price than the market. Don’t forget to grab your breakfast from the top level food court.

Kathleen Meadows

We shopped here every week for 19 years watching it evolve to the lovely place it is now. Love the variety, the vendors and location.

Ateshim Ghebremariam

Now, it looks so cool! Unlike before the pandemic, there are few people that can be managed very well. I can shop faster.

Urvashi Vyas

Fresh vegetables at great prices. Recommend going early. Free parking on Saturdays.

Scott Jones

Authentic market with tons of fresh produce. Great prices on meats and excellent breakfast stops upstairs

Edana Brown

Always love the Kitchener Market... a treasure of fresh, good food.

Sergiu Costin

Cramped up into a small place, produce is not always fresh. Jacobs market is better overall.

Rebecca Petricevic

A staple in Downtown Kitchener. There's always a great variety of vendors with great deals and a wide selection of local produce.

Elizabeth ruiz vazquez

The freshest veggies in town

Nancy Higgins

Love, love the Kitchener farmers market. Been going since I was a week tot. Need to go early..

Hasan Shurrab

Amazing place. Highly recommended. Cheap fruits and veggies.

Anirban Kundu

Amazing Place for fresh vegetables, fruits, meat, fish, honey and many more. Don’t miss the available food options upstairs.

stewart smith

We attended a special event here after hours. Nice open space. Since there was construction, the washrooms were down the elevator and a bit of a wander in a deserted Hall.

Dana Mihut

Every Saturday you can spend the morning at this market! You can have breakfast here, good coffee, and then do your shopping ( a lot of choices) including flowers and sweets. I come very often and love it.

Peter Soliman

Kitchener market is a weekly stop for me year round. The vendors are amazing and if you talk to most of them, they are passionate about food and where their product comes from. Tony, over at Charle's Quality meats is a great guy who has his heart in good honest business and clean meats. Robb, over at South Central Sausage, seems to find new ways to keep new products coming in (you MUST stop there and try everything!). Kat and Mark over at Anna Tolezzi chocolate make the most fun and creative flavours of truffles! All around a great place to be on a Saturday morning.

Ross Ferguson

I don't normally go to a Market as they are usually too noisy and crowded for me. But, this market isn't too bad. They have some interesting things and nice choices of food products.

Neil Mavin

The Kitchener Market has become better over the years. When I was a kid the selections weren't as good as they are today at this market. The prices I find aren't as reasonably priced as they used to be though. The market is actually a great place to get high quality food though. The meat counters are generally really good quality meat. Lots of food, and food is one of my things in life!

Chris Koy

It's a great place for local Canadian produce and lot's of good food to eat in the top of the market.

Nicky Amos

The Kitchener market is unique place in the area that open 5 days per week. The upper level has an international food court with delicious cusines from around the work opens Tuesdays to Saturdays. Great place to dine with a group so persons can choose different food options. The lower level is your market which opens on Saturdays only. The upper level also had a kitchen which hosts different activities throughout the week.

B

Very clean and tidy, the kind of place you feel comfortable buying food, not just the vendors but the facility itself.

Shilpa Sarawagi

I just love the El Salvadorian shop serving pupusas, the fresh coffee place, the freshly squeezed juice, the selection of vegetables and the fruits. The laid back style amazes me each time I visit this market. I cant recommend enough. You need to try ;)

Lord Lynn

Always great places to get a cheap meal. Saturdays it's always busy but there's also lots of events throughout the week for families.

Gail Bisson

Great selection, unbeatable prices.

Jessie Tunney

I love that they have an adult change table in one of their public toilets upstairs. I've never seen one in public before.

David Duarte

Not as "organic" as i would like. Bit if a cluster when stepping outside but overall good selection from many venders

Ana Vallejo

Great produce and good prices. Besides the usual buy, we enjoy some prepared yummy food like some heavenly brownies and fresh made hummus (I'm sure there is lots of good stuff we havent tried yet). They do have extra activities like Easter egg painting or cookie decorations for kids which make the trip more worthwhile, specially if you don't live close by. My only con is getting around the place with my baby's stroller since it can get very busy at times and the place is not that big.

Andriy Usenko

We can buy a lot of fruits & vegetables. Prices are cheaper than in supermarket.

Tara Kachroo

This Market has great produce at low prices- some of it is locally grown, some organic options. There are also a host of breakfast and lunch places (The crepes are a family favorite for breakfast and Kiki's Market Bowl is a must have for lunch); bakeries; butchers; a juicer; a fish monger; a chocolatier, and others.

cynthia cuff

Love all the fresh veggies and fruits!! Breads and Cheeses, of Course the seafood, meats and other vendors!!

Cory Orr Music

I love buying whole foods at the Kitchener Market from local farmers. In my opinion not only is it more sustainable economically but it also drastically reduces the amount of packaging I bring home. Ital is vital in so many ways ????

Jim Beretta

Great market, class vendors...parking is a little tricky.

Showmya Anne

Saturday mornings are a must visit to get the needed fruits and vegetables for the week. Great and fresh.

Mustafa M. Mustafa

What a refreshing market... lots of options, great prices, and very friendly merchants. they even have dog treats! Dont miss out on the produce section on the lower floor, next to the main hall. Bring cash, most booths dont accept debit/credit cards. And stop to listen to the musicians play, there's some hidden talent there. Enjoy :)

Melica Mirsafian

I recommend going early. Around noon or afternoon it can be a bit crowded and chaotic (specially if you’re nervous about getting close to people during the social distancing period).

E Cascarita

We love going there, getting our veggies and vegetarian foods tho I miss the pizza lady she had nice thin crust pizza!

Olivia Williams

Great food!! People are very nice

Samantha Kristoferson

The best Saturdays start at the market. Take your time. Enjoy some food. Bring your own bags and cash.

C L

Fantastic selection of fresh produce, meats and baking. Great prices. We wish we lived closer so we could go on a regular basis.

Marinela Balulescu

Good place to find cheaper and fresh products. I love it. Very convenient to have it in Kitchener.

Celina Elizabeth

Lots of vendors! Great place for the community to come together each week. Always love bringing the family.

Gian Barzellotti

Very fresh market to buy local products! Their selection of eggs are great! Also in the restaurant section a fantastic place to eat is the Salvadoran food restaurant on the top floor! Their pupusas are finger linking good!

Laura Priscila Tercero Cruz

Excelentt option to buy fresh and healthy food. The rood market is only on Saturdays

William Bond

Good fresh, every thing, meaning fruits, vegetables, baked goods, beef, pork an theirs a couple cafes there

Paul Rak

This Market has it all the vegetables and fruits they sell here the prices are unbelievably good and upstairs they have every type of meal imaginable and most of all I love the fact that there are real International taste there like schnitzel and South American food. And down below you've got the deli's and the meats Plus freshly squeezed orange juice and there's somebody busting in at least two or three parts the market really a wonderful place to spend the whole morning at.

Brittany Lemay

Love the food you can grab during the week days the servers are extremely polite and the food tastes great each time and theres always a great selection. Although during lunch time on week days i would typically aboid the location due to the high school students, the place gets absolutely bombarded. I loved going to the market on Saturdays, you get better deals later on in the mornings/early afternoons but the place is extremely packed but if you don't mind the hustle and bustle like me than its great. Just make sure to check the fruit and vegetables you buy, since they have such a large quantity of food obviously it won't all be fresh and not rotted or bruised. The people are great too. Sad that I had to move since every Saturday this place was apart of my routine. They should get a market like this over in Cambridge and then I'd be very pleased. But I would definetly recommend this place to others. The butcher's have a great selection of tasty meats too. Just make sure you have cash on you since they don't take plastic. Also the atm machine bu the front entrance doesn't always work properly so it may be safer to have cash on you before coming on down to the market.

Lori South

Great place to get far fresh food. Open on Saturdays. Free underground parking. Spaces are limited...just drive around the block a few times and you'll probably get in. Peak time is around 10:00 a.m. and then again at noon.

Michael Baumtrog

Lovely selection. Reasonable prices. Energetic ambiance.

b massel

An excellent place to find local farmers with the freshest produce and butchers with family farms. if you need it, some vendors bring in food terminal items like bananas and other things not grown locally. Stay for lunch!

Zoran Lopicic

Very interesting place to visit. Lot's of fresh fruits and vegetables, different types of food.

Shel Whitman

Vendors and their wares are worth the trip. Friendly people who offer fresh and tasty food of many different kinds. Only real negative is the ignorant people who push through and over you like they're the only ones there. Wear battle armour and you will have a great time!

Joshi Janki

Mostly you will find all seasonal fruits and vegetables. Prices are fairly reasonable. Only cash Allowed.

Josephine Jobagy

If you are looking for mostly food and a few extras, this is better than St Jacobs market. Parking is better and less crowds.

Rylan Armet

I've decided St. Jacobs is for tourists and Kitchener is for groceries. It's local and I've seen item here that I haven't at St. Jacobs. Not sure how it took me so many years to make it a weekly regular. Check out Sproll's bakery, Ackroyd's honey, everything in the veg area, and the selection of meats.

Nicole Simpson

This market has been here in various forms throughout my childhood until now. My grandfather used to take me here when I was little and it still offers the best prices for fresh everything. My favourite vendor is the hummus and pita stand, they make the best hummus you have ever tasted.

Draculion

Amazing produce, great options and the food is all delicious and affordable. City needs to keep investing in this.

Marcell Chantharath

I usually visit during the week for lunch, while the produce section is closed during the week, their large selection of food vendors are open and they are all fantastic

MaryElizabeth Anderson

Great atmosphere! Amazing baked goods, meats, veggies, and gifts. So pleasantly surprised by how great it was

Adam Hammoud

Everything you need to eat healthy and enjoy some treats on the side. Far less busy than St. Jacobs.

John A.

Great selection of products & a nice atmosphere. Very family friendly.

Alexandra-Selene Jarvis

I enjoyed my visit. One of the smaller farmer's markets I have been in, but good variety. Sellers are friendly, staff are taking the proper COVID precautions. Breakfast is slow, but that was ok for me as I was not in a hurry.

Andrew Alkema

Great place to go on Saturday mornings. Lots of good produce vendors so you can always find stuff at a good price

Michael Mior

Even in the winter there tends to be some pretty solid produce here. In the summer when vendors are outside, it's great. You can often find great fresh food cheaper than you would at many local grocery stores.

Carol McGregor

The produce/fruit vendors are friendly...shop regular & they remember you, variety of meats, organic, flowers & even kids crafts...cooking classes so much fun along with other crafts at night in the Market

Anne Vermeyden

Lovely market! Good covid protocols. Safe and fun.

Ahmet Osman

fruits and vegetables fresh

Tayler Morrison

The upstairs is open daily for breakfast and lunch. Food from around the world prepared fresh. City of kitchener and vendors always go out of their way to create a family oriented friendly atmosphere. Got to meet Santa! More food vendors similar to St.Jacobs on their market days, consult their website for hours.

abhi (naturetales06)

Very nice Farmers Market, Quality produce, Fair Price, Fresh Veggies and fruits. I love the atmosphere here :)

Chris Inch

The Kitchener market is a great place to find local produce. There are lots of great food stands to eat at, and a great overall local community feel.

Nark Narkus

Market is my favorite Saturday shopping...5 stars for management as well, they are very organized during the pandemic

Gerhard Gruetzmacher

Best farmers market in Kitchener Waterloo. The best place to buy low sodium and salt meats. Nice to see the same vendors week in week out.

Sarah Gerris

Tons of awesome vendors here, food was amazing, and a great selection of artisan creators too!

Oleg Morgunov

Overcrowded place inside and outside. There are not enough parking spots and all streets around are completely packed with cars. Another problem - a lot of people are selling foods that they did not grow or produced... You can't negotiate the price and this place is opened only Saturdays and completely empty other 6 days per week. If people would like to be professional food's sellers - give them an opportunity to buy and sell - support local farmers and community. This place should be opened 7days per week and sellers should offer much better price than supermarkets. Also infrastructure should be dramatically improved!!!!!!!

Jay Bathija

Wonderful! Full of vibrant colours and life! Everyone smiling and so much positive energy! There are so many reasons to visit the Kitchener Market - fresh fruits and veggies, meats, cheeses, sweets - but nothing better than the authentic Langosh, a Romanian delicacy similar to Camadian Elephant Ears. A MUST!

Isaac H-H

The Farmer's Market has been an amazing resource since moving to the downtown area. It gives you ready access to fresh fruit and veg, along with meats and baked goods. The food court has some great options as well. Best time to go is earlier in the morning but most stalled are usually stocked into late morning or the lunch hour. Look forward to being able to go again once it is safe.

John Nay

I went early and the crowd was easy, venders were great.

ANI

Lot's of good vegetables and fruits, cheese and meat. Clean, organized, safe .

Mariangelica Forero

Love this place. Makes me feel so much a part of the community. I also hosted my baby shower in their event room and it was a wonderful experience and SO affordable for such a large room and space!!

Chris S.' Projects/ C.E.S.

A good source for fresh locally grown food with a decent selection and at relatively cheap prices. The earlier you get there the better, as the food sits out all day for sale. I think they start around 6 am.

Katherine Laycock

I have loved the market for years but prefer to get there around 8am on saturday to avoid the crowds and find parking

7burnitdown

More like a grocery store in disguise. A lot of stands just sell the same produce you find in grocery stores from produce are not even from Ontario… lots of produce from mexico and usa so defeats the whole purpose of a farmers market which is supposed to be all local. Prices might be cheaper if you buy in bulk but also probably because they are close to spoilage. Most bread stands are just mass produced bread by some company in toronto and the quality is very poor especially for the price (eg rye bread where rye is hardly used). There are some good stands that actually sell local products but most is a scam.

Calin Alexander

The kitchener market is beautiful, after moving to Toronto I miss it more than anything in town. The year round fresh produce is amazing.

Tom Bomhof

This is an awesome market with huge selection and a focus on local food. Today was our first.time there and we'll be back.

David Jordan

All sorts of fresh baked goodies and wonderful fruits and veggies. Upstairs are really great eateries

K STARDAZ

We go to the market every Saturday, best place for all you shopping needs, local and fresh

Xavier C

Great place to check out some local artisans, and get fresh groceries. Big space, and can be quite busy during peak times. Will go again to try other vendors.

Krishna Iyer

Kitchener market is great with a range of small food establishments. Naranj is the go to place for the best falafel in the city

Aleida “Aly”

Affordable prices can be found. There are several local vendors as well. The food court is a bit limited but you can find awesome Jamaican patties, pizza, crepes, Spanish food, bakery goods, coffee/hot drinks and some European food. I give this place 4 stars just because the underground parking can be hectic.

Aimee Liu

Best summer time market

Greg Harrold

I ate at the El Salvadorian place... Maria make the most amazing and authentic papusas around... It is well worth the wait.

T “Tbor” Smith

Awesome place to buy fresh and good quality produce, meats and lots more!

Matt Saadalla

Amazing place to shop for fruits and veggies and overall groceries (not expensive at all).

Edil Garcia

Nice place to get food and hang out with friends, you can buy food, or groceries here. The location is a little inconvenient is right in downtown, but there is parking, there is a doctors office, stores and much more. Very good.

Kadi Zheng

Ok venders, if you're into artisanal fast food (oxymoron I know). Kind of pricy for what they offer but located conveniently downtown.

Michael Robbins

We highly recommend Charles's Quality Meats and South Central Saussages! The Downtown Market is a great place to find local produce at an excellent price!

Jennifer Gryn

My favourite market. This market is all about food, especially in the summer. Start off with Breakfast and your choices are endless. My favourite are the potato pancakes with plantains from Caribbean Kitchen. My daughter loves the crepes from Everyday Gourmet and my husband always chooses something different. Then we wander around and look at everything, taste some things and pick up what we need and what we want. Everyone is helpful and polite. If you are not walking parking is not easy as the market is very popular, just be prepared to be patient or park further away and walk.

Wuster Wuster

Great place to shop for fresh fruit and vegetables. It would be great if its open in the weekdays as well.

David Kingston

Excellent selection of local and imported produce along with meats and baked goods. The golden hearth on the other side of the road has the best pastries and sourdough bread we've had other than Europe, but German products are there at the Kitchener market. Fritters just like St Jacobs upstairs!

J Sewerniuk

Produce is top tier! Prices are amazing. Good food places too to get a meal.

Maria Mouradian

Vendors and selection are great, however, shoppers are very ignorant. Lots of pushing and shoving.

Natalie Ziejka

Great selection. We have tried meals at many vendors on the second floor, and they have all been tasty and reasonably priced.

ThunderStorm Productions

Great covid measures lots of people directing lots of signage and stanchions great job. Thank you

Dan Calvert

Great way to spend an hour or two on a Saturday morning. Always leave with more groceries than I meant to. Bring cash!

Allisa Scott

Delicious homemade soups, sandwiches and home baked goods. Also yummy gourmet desserts and warm beverages. Tasty!

Dee Gangabissoon

If you are looking for fresh fruits, vegetables, pastries bread, deli meat, honey flowers and meat....this is a good place to shop at. If you get there around 1:00pm prices on fruits and vegetables often go on sale. There is hot food and coffee for sale on the top level. There is underground parking but it is very busy. ...often difficult to find a spot after noon. By 2:00pm venders start packing up. The market closes around 2:20pm. There is some parking on the road if you get lucky.

Shawn M

If winter didn't come, I would never shop anywhere else! Also, best falafel in town.

Rajib Kundu

If you love fresh vegetables and vibe of a living community, you should visit this place. In weekend, specially in saturday, this place is full with local people, music, fresh vegetables and fun. Parking is not an issue, as it has an underground parking. Entry and exit may take little bit extra time but don't worry, people of KW area is really nice. You will be astonished to see their respect and courtesy towards others driver on the road. So come and enjoy this beautiful market in any Saturday.

Bill Bond

Right now its closed for Holidays but awesome market

Chivon Petek

Best place to get fruit, veggies, meat and more!!

Kristopher Snyder

Fantastic sense of community, fresh local produce and a chance to strike some deals at the end of the day! Be aware, if you don't like crowds, you'll be a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, a great place to get your ingredients for Saturdays dinner.

Torsten Mueller

Since Covid-19 started and it reopened, there are alot less vendors. Still rather crowded but you can't beat a whole bucket of red peppers for $10! Or the 4 items for $10 at the Mennonite stall.

Lilly

An awesome farmers market all year round. Although there are quite a few re-sellers that aren't farmers at all and they get their - often subpar - produce from the food terminal to resell here, but then there are several real farmers also and they are the ones that provide the best local, seasonal produce, some organic as well. We go every week and stock up for the week with meat, vegetables, fruit, bread and other stuff and you can even get some nice wine. There's also the food court upstairs where you can get a variety of hot and cold home cooked meals. A great place to spend Saturday morning. Go early to get free underground parking.

Ekaterina

Amazing local farmers' market with abundance of fresh produce offered for very competitive prices!

Stefan Vence.

Great selection and deals on fresh produce and other goods! I personally prefer the St Jacobs farmers market but I also like to support locally and the Kitchener market let's me do that. Overall a good place to visit whether you are looking to stalk up on produce or just looking for a nice outing with your family!

C Pilsner

Great place to get good local produce. 50+ vendors with all sorts of great food. Give Millstream Foods a try if you go and ask for Jay.

Emily J Nighswander

Great Farmers market. Some vendors are offering online ordering and curbside pickup during covid.

Jenna Herdman

Didn’t see parking nearby other than for the vendors. Street parking is very congested. Market is good and great support for local vendors.

David Coghill

I've been shopping at the farmers market in Kitchener for like 25 years I've never had a complaint love the place

chirag parekh

Nice place to buy fresh vegetables and fruits. Some foods are very expensive though. Also a nice outing on a Saturday morning.

Joseph Nuss

A great place to go shopping especially on Saturdays when they have the Farmers market. It reminds a lot like St Lawrence Market and Kensington Market in Toronto. Bands and solo musicians are playing throughout the premises. I was delightfully entertained. There are also eating areas where you can grab a meal, a snack or a just a cup of coffee.

Anna Nguyen

There's no reason not to go here in the summer. The vegetable prices are almost always better than the supermarket (depending on the time). It's a great Saturday morning activity. You get groceries (meats, cheese, fruits, and bread) and have lunch at any of the surrounding establishment.

Jason Vander Meulen

Better than St. Jacob's for three reasons: - less congested during peak hours - vendors are not as spread out, so you can hit your favourite booths in quick succession - flea market items are in a separate space rather than interspersed with the food My only complaint is that there's so much sketchy produce clearly scooped up from the Ontario Food Terminal for quick sale.

Bangishimo J

My most favorite place in the world...and I've been around the world. Good food. Friendly folx. Always something going on here. Family friendly. Free parking on weekends. I get all my groceries here.

Roger Mak

A small farmer market carries essential produces for household needs. Plenty choices of fresh produces of reasonable prices. At the end of the day vendors often sell at bargain prices. The second level has a small food court with a dozen vendors though some offer similar menu. Weekend free parking is nice gesture and makes this a great place to shop and have quick lunch. The place sves my trip to St Jacob.

Tiffany Heim

Farmers market was the only Christmas event in all of Kitchener open on Christmas eve and Christmas day. I had a festive time with my family. Happy Holidays!

Eric Reda

Haven't been here since i was a kid and it's got a great selection of foods and produce

Mercedes Townsend

Amazing selection and the prices are fantastic! The produce is so much better than most grocery stores.

Jeff Gingerich

Great selection clean and not too crowded

Becky Y

One star Because of the the service I received at food court serrinia cafe !!! A very rude owner!!! Ruined my trip to the very nice place like to visit!!

Lily Hua

Perfect market. Not foor tourists. You can get all you need and most are local farmers and not food terminal resellers.

Laura Rebags

Cheap veggies and fruit . Sometimes the quality is not the best. But most of the times is worth it. The little international food plaza in the second floor has very interesting options like Jamaican and Serbian food. Love the schinitzel there.

Matty_Rulez

Amazing place to get fresh local food... Market days are fun too.

Salvador Delgado Khassale

Very clean and excellent place to buy your fruits and vegetables. If you want to eat it's nice and cheap.

Andrew Montesinos

The best place in town to find local produce, meat, cheeses and artisanal products and crafts.

Bonnie Brown

This place is the best place to buy fresh fruits and vegetables at great prices!

Zez Bishop

Great market! But no public safety! I went there Saturday November 28 and it was insane how many people were in there at once, they even had someone singing without wearing a mask!

Steph Noble

A nice alternative to the St Jacobs market, smaller and usually a little less busy. Great place to have breakfast and get your groceries.

Stack Hundo's

The only downside is the crowdedness. (If that's even a word) I love the great vendors, great food, good prices. Downtown is just too crowded and busy for a market like this. Venue should be moved to an area with more space Overall, great little market

Ani Ohevet

Wonderful place to support local farmers Good quality produce, very good prices towards end of day. Finding parking is an adventure.

Chris De La Rosa

Was here last Saturday and overall had a great time shopping. Lucky enough to find parking (street) directly in front of the main entrance, so being an out of towner.. this made things easy for us. The upper level (food court) wasn't as busy as the main market floor below and the sort of out-door section to the back. There were COVID protocols in place and staff on hand to assist. The bathrooms were clean and cleaned after every use by waiting staff. Fruits and vegetables were plentiful, sadly not so much meats and cheeses .. not sure if this is due to COVID or if it's the norm as this was our first visit. Found the pricing to be on par as that you'll encounter in other Farmers Markets in Southern Ontario.

moises rodríguez

You can find farm products all year round. It's in downtown Kitchener. I don't buy anywhere else if I can help it

sumant khedekar

Very well managed market in the heart of Kitchener. There are volunteers at every turn to help and guide you. Although I mostly frequent the St. Jacobs farmers market, this one has a good choice of vegetables and fruits too. It also has plenty of local food joints inside the market so you can snack on as you shop. A good variety of take-out places to choose from.

Justin Tube

Great to get back to the market. Crazy linups at the in demand vendors though.

Raja Sonnylal

Superb marketplace. Everything fresh and at great prices. Such a wide range of products available.

Norin Sharma

Not Good Nor Bad

David Stelmack

It had food that was fresh enough.. but i wasnt convinced all the vendors were actually the growers they portrayed themselves to be. Im sure 90% of the food was bought for resale at a distribution hub in Mississauga or something similar unfortunately... not locally grown food as most would imagine a farmers market exists for. I mean, we can get bulk distribution produce at sobeys and zehrs etc. Already.. now we can buy the same stuff but marked up a notch because we are being fed a lie about it being locally grown. The lie is either told directly, or by omission by the vendors simply not displaying any source info at the market and are not very willing to answer those types of questions.

akin akinpelu

Ever since my wife and I discovered this market, our grocery shopping experience has not been the same again. Wonderful market.

Alexandra Patterson

Wide variety of goods. Community feel on Saturdays. Love the buskers, and the atmosphere. If you're interested in purchasing local, keep an eye out for "My Pick" certified signage - this confirms that the vendor is selling goods directly from the farm they manage. If you want to get in touch with the Kitchener community, go!

Craig Daniels

If you're in KW and the market is on you should definitely visit. There's a huge selection of locally grown foods and the prices are really fair. Great chocolate, maple syrup and other products too.

Roberto Faria

Excellent local produce, from meats, sausages, honey, organic legumes, and much much more. Definitely worth visiting on Saturdays. Ramin's hand roasted coffee shop on the second floor is the best you can get in Kitchener with 22 bean varieties to choose from. Parking is the only drawback, so I suggest parking on a residential street and walking over, or arrive early morning (before 9am). Also, try Ramin's wife's breakfast crepe in the shop next door. It's delicious and large enough to feed two.

Bahero Akida

It's a great place to go for locally grown food of all kind and greatly priced imported produce. There are many varieties of food stands upstairs with exceptional services . The market is always packed and can be difficult to find a parking spot in the underground parking garage.

Jourdan Meinen

Not too big and not too small, the market is located right across from the Yeti cafe - bonus for Saturday morning breakfast! There's a couple of organic produce vendors and (my meatatarian friends tell me) there's a great sausage place.

Alexis m Shevchenko

Love the freash produce meat poultry just the market its self very well organized lots of staff to help with social distance

Alicia Munnings

Fresh local produce. Yummy baked goods. Deli counters and restaurants. What more could you want?

Sarah Hamilton

Perfect spot on Saturday morning! Local produce and lots of breakfast options upstairs. My favorite is Naranj.

Maya Scott

This market was okay. Definitely more European based booths.

Alessandro Malusà

We always find good stuff, but I'm still concerned about social distancing, which people are not practicing to an extent I find satisfactory.

Justin Benoit

Was a fun place little pricey at the start wait till almost closed for the best deals

Ruta Guillome

There are no cameras anywhere. Beware, if you have your wallet, bags or anything stolen, they will not help you! In MARCH 2020 they don't even have cameras anywhere. What if something worse than petty theft happened, how are they to keep the public safe?! Please get cameras. Please put them everywhere. Petty theft happens all the time at the market, and affects people who need it the most like seniors.

Angel Wales

Been coming here for over 10 years, and now I can easily walk there. Lots of choices for fruit, vegetables, meat, cheeses, baked goods, and there's even a local wine vendor.

Deuane Hoffman

An outstanding indoor farmers market! Tons of local area produce and locally made prepared foods and handicrafts.

Amy Savigny

*This market is specifically rated higher for me due to it being walking distance. If it required me to drive I don't know if I'd bother going much at all Things I like - walking distance to buy farm fresh food - weekday lunch spots - events and classes - nice way to run into neighbours on Saturdays Things I don't like - not easy to determine which food comes from farmers and which is from food resellers. The little farm signs aren't enough. Grouping vendors together would be more convenient as well - wish it was open twice a week. Saturday plus a later evening weekday market, perhaps Wednesday from like 5-10 and incorporate perhaps a night market outside for crafts vendors - the space seems very underutilized during the rest of the week

Sarah Whyte

Busy, sure, but I love a busy market. Truly a good market (downstairs) with a few crafty vendors upstairs.

Shihabur Rahman Chowdhury

Great place in the summer to get reasonably priced (cheaper than the supermarkets if you go closer to the closing time), fresh, local produces.

Cynfully Sweet by Cynthia

Love going to kids hop children's entertainment every other Tuesday to see Erick Traplin perform. The food vendors are good. Lots of options to choose from.

Taylor Doss

I have mixed feelings about this market. I love how there are always musicians in multiple areas and that the produce is so cheap. But the produce is cheap for a reason; it's generally sub par. For example, when quarts of strawberries are being sold they go for about $1.00 ea and you'll find half or more rotten in 1-2 days. I suspect many of the vendors are purchasing rejected produce that a grocery store wouldn't sell but that's just my suspicion. Also there is a lot of produce being sold here that is not local, probably the majority of it actually. However there is lots of local eggs, meat, and dairy and I keep going back every Saturday for the produce :)

Aparajita Makeup Artist

This is great place you get get fruits and vegetables at very lesser price than the malls and totally fresh....

Tim Hill

Great selection of vendors and convenient to get to.

Nathalia S. N.

If you like buying fresh veggies, fruits and other types of food, this is your place for Saturday’s morning!

Nancy brar

Great place. Beautiful. Gives you the glimpse of old and simple life. Very cost effective too. But keep this in mind that almost all the transactions are accepted in cash. So be ready with cash. There are ATM machines there too but those charge little extra money to withdraw cash. So its better to take cash along with you

Jonathan Kim

Loved it, great variety of produce and meats. Special thank you to the woman who sold a cake to my mother and sister

A M

Lovely farmers market with produce outside and different vendors in the hall. A lot of the vendors are also in St Jacobs market too. We found everything from freshly squeezed juices, honey mangoes, seafood, flowers to European desserts and Argentinian empanadas. Difficult to find parking outside but once you do, it’s a good place to explore and get fresh produce.

Peter MacDonald

A great place to get breakfast or lunch from a number of great restaurants, as well as a year-round selection of good fresh food from the food vendors on the second floor.

Heidi Christensen

Great selection, lots of local farm fresh produce. Fun environment great food.

Gladys Abboud

I love the culture of that place.. I am always amazed by the young hard working generation that I see here.. I enjoy the music while buying my fresh veggies

Cam

Great selection of fresh produce from local vendors/small farmers

Scy Akulick (Scyoni)

Good quality as always but also crowded as ever and nobody is following covid distancing. At all.

François Sunatori

I go there every Saturday morning. Very fresh fruits and vegetables and good variety of choices. Having lived next to Montreal's Jean Talon market, I'm glad to be living near a market that is as big.

Apoorva Yadav

Always great to great produce and help locals. There is something for everyone here.

Lorenzo Carboni

Quality vegetables to be found here. Makes the supermarket stuff look sad.

cdcpp3100

Great place for variety but some prices on high side but we must support our farmers!

Maria Charberet

The new location is great, lots of local vendors with large selection and given valued information regarding how to prepare. One feels welcomed !

athul yashwant

Nice market. You get fresh from farm veggies and fruits which are comparatively cheaper than what it is. only on mornings i wish if i could visit this place at evenings..

Daisy Li

Best place to go for fresh veggies. Very cheap and reasonable price!!! If I can get up on Saturday morning, that’s the place I wanna go for whole week’s vegetables. Meat could be expensive but the quality is good. I feel Kitchener market is cheaper than st Jacob market.

Cat

Always here for the Saturday farmers market. I don't buy fruits any where else!

sab kulafofski

Nice Hungarian family running the simply delicious food kiosk. Not happy with the pizza place shut down for most the summer for vacations. Bad optics

Carol Benson

Fresh vegetables fruit bread desserts and Nancy other delicious things. Food Court upstairs with fresh made food coffee children play area. Free parking but very busy.

Naglaa Eid

Love going there on the weekend! There is a store that makes Belgian waffles that my husband and I love.

Raúl Alhena

Great market, you can find a many of different organic products from local farmers. It's usually overcrowded, but if you have your shopping list clear, it's not a problem. The only thing it's about parking, small parking and all the streets around are full of cars so it's difficult. Besides that very recommended.

Kathy Bolhuis

We go as many Saturday mornings as we can and get most of our week's groceries there. As well, our son and his family usually meet us there for coffee and breakfast. ???? It was fun going to the 4 mid-week markets this summer. We liked how they closed the street off and had live music. We hope they can do this again next summer.

Jack Lesiw

Fabulous place. Cant get 30lbs of oranges for 15$ at the grocery store that's forsure! 5 containers of berries only 4$ & cucumbers the size of China for 75cents! The local cafes are a great addition as you can get home made, gourmet meals for relatively cheap. It makes a great Saturday outting with the family. These local farmers work very hard and I feel good when I shop here, everything tastes like real food, no GMO, handpick what you buy, I really don't understand why you would need to shop anywhere else.

Mark Church

Awesome market with best deals ever. Fresh food for your family...plus lots of local specialties.

David Brubacher

The Kitchener market has always been an excellent place to buy food from the people that grow it (with a few exceptions). Very few tourists unlike Waterloo

Joel Nelson

Farm fresh produce, friendly atmosphere and cordial vendors. Quality and variety that you can't find at the grocery store. Get there early and head upstairs for breakfast at one of the many restaurant stands. I always leave feeling like I've discovered treasure, but maybe that's my internal fat kid talking.

Nahian H

Fresh food and produce, friendly people and great price. Love this place !

Leif Husselbee

Awesome little place. Best produce prices anywhere. Bring cash.

Severn Tsui

Everything here is simply delicious. The favourite at our company is definitely the cabbage rolls!

Jacky Fung

Lots of fresh vegetables and fruits! And the price is great! Next time will buy some meat.

Carlos Molina

I went yesterday to get some ethnic foods from different countries. Went well and i even found $20 note on the stairs. Nice food from Argentina empanadas and from middle east and Latin and Serbian. It was good times.

Colin McConkey

Great place to visit on a Saturday morning. Lots of local produce on offer at ok prices. Walked in to produce part and was bombarded with loads of lovely smells. Also understairs loads of places to get breakfast or lunch. Well worth a visit if you are close by. Oh also nice place to buy fresh locally roasted coffee.

Ishor Kafley

All fresh and locally grown vegetables and meat products. Some of the vendor are not really the local farmers so they are buying some local products and more imported and sale them as locally grown. My suggestion is to ask and see carefully about where is the product from .

David

Great location for me.close to home. Everyone is very friendly and I believe it feels like a country farmer market in the city.

Alaa Eldin

Great variety but depending on your luck you might end up with ripe fruits that go bad fast

Trevor Trinkaus

Wide variety of vendors with many local offerings as well as imported goods. Great prices on fresh produce!

Hannah Van Opstal

The vendors are super friendly and the food is always extremely fresh and well priced. It’s the perfect Saturday morning tradition!

Rae

Good variety. Will have a long wait for food but it worth it.

Kelly Drouillard

Parking can be difficult but I always enjoy my time there. Always a great selection of vendors.

Chris Rothernel

Awesome market with fresh produce all of the vendors are very friendly and try to serve you as quick as possible considering the amount of people who go to this market

Rob Donkers

Came here every Saturday morning for years, the smell of the market triggers memories of my mom so for that alone 5 stars

Christopher Wolfgang Smith

Free parking, live entertainment, fresh fruits, Doug's Honey, Euro deli, sausage guy...what's not to like?

Chris Deck

A moderate sized farmers market with a few shops. Lovely place, but it gets crazy on Saturdays and it would be nice if it were open more often.

Mark Elkins

Great place to buy fresh and buy local. Can't beat the prices on produce. The atmosphere and vendors always make it a worthwhile excursion on a Saturday morning.

Jason Rehkoph

I love the market. Good people, lots of great deals on excellent food

Dayanna Lopez

Love when I go to this market!! Fresh produce and great service

Niketa's Corner

Enjoyed the visit. Will definitely go again. Some great deals on produce, as well as good food! Saturday is typically very busy. I might visit again during the week when I'm off.

Juny Balume

Thinking of buying fresh produce at a cheaper price. Kitchener market is the place to go

Mark Gilbert

Good experience but not all produce available given the season that is to be expected.

Dyson Chambers

The prices for fresh produce are hard to beat! Also the selection of different locally grown goods is amazing.

Nida TZ

Great farmer's market!

Do your best Everyday

Awesome Market at affordable rate

jithesh kv

I love this market and very fresh vegetables and fruits at low cost

scott hundey

Lots of great vendors I like buying meat from markets like this. I have a summer sausage that we're working on at home, it's really big now it's half gone. Also If I'm buying smoked meat like that I feel it is healthier than a grocery store to buy here.

Rachel Y.

I always choose this one over the St. Jacob's market when possible; bigger selection of food vendors, produce, and in the heart of downtown Kitchener

Dan Gabriel

Many vendors of meat, fruits, vegetables and other exotic delicacies. They have a great dining area upstairs and many local shops that sell a variety of foods. Parking underground can be hectic but many lots around to park at.

Michael Sendrea

You'll get some great deals on fresh fruits and vegetables, especially if you go a little later in the day. There is also an extensive meat and cheese area (inside), as well as a food court featuring ethnic foods (Romanian, Ukrainian, etc.) upstairs. Fans of "mici"/"mititei" or "chevaps" (Romanian/Serbian skinless sausages) can buy pre-mixed, pre-rolled sausages in the meat section, ready for the barbecue.

Paulina Klich

I like it better than St. Jacobs. Smaller and less crowded. Good selection of veggies and fruit, meats, cheeses. A great Polish-ukrainian stand with pastries, cakes etc. New farm with goat milk produce. Polish sausages, Nougat bakery with awesome breads and pastries, free range eggs, and freshly squeezed juices. Yum

Le “FaZe” Monke

Great place to go with friends during lunch or just going to grab a quick Poutine or some pizza,Cookies salads etc has a Variety of not so expensive food and Kitchener Free wifi is available there's no parking but you can park outside for free

Stu Bechthold

Great market, lots of great vendors and variety.

Mahmoud Elshafei

There is some great food here. The restaurant are all locally owned but there is a great variety from all over the world. Make sure to tey the Belgian waffles if you ever get a chance

Terry Forth

Amazing pricing on a wide variety of fruits and veggies here. I have to wonder is a lot of it is local though... That being said, their food court is an embarrassment! I’ve tried a few times now and have not found anything even mildly acceptable. Amateur hour, big time. It’s what you would expect from a Flea Market or something (not that I’ve been to one of those recently ????).

Jessi Huebner Zárate

good place with variety of food although I must say that they should improve order, cleanliness and parking that sure if you go you will not find parking

les dorgo

You can buy fresh fruit and vegetables meat and many other products fresh for less then the store

Kassem Abouserhan

It's very good

W K

Excellent prepared food for great prices (Tuesday-Saturday), and a wide variety of vendors on Saturdays. One of the best parts of downtown Kitchener

Harinder Singh

Fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, sauces, eggs, cheese, and lot more at very reasonable prices. They sell at extremely low prices at the near closing timings. Lots of variety.

Cedric S.

Dissapointed recently with all my vegetables rotting within 2 to 3 days. Will no longer go there for vegies. Only apples

Deanna Koller

Great food deals and variety. Parking is a challenge. If you want to save money on produce, this is your place!

Mark K. (Morelmad)

Some local produce, lots of food terminal produce. Great selection of smoked meat products and fresh chicken, pork and beef. Everyone is friendly. Get there before 10am to have a chance of a parking space.

Chantelle Z

Love fresh food from the market. Wish they were open more often but the food is always delicious. I got the biggest cauliflower head I've ever seen from this market. Lots of beautiful fresh flowers. During busy hours parking can be tricky but it's downtown so thats understandable.

Kaitlin Carruthers

Always events going on for the kids, and a toy are for them to play after eating. So many good fresh options. Love having t So many local options in one place.

Krysta Traianovski

My favourite Saturday hangout with friends! Top tip: don't rush your shopping - take time to enjoy the sights and sounds of the market with your loved ones.

Sahida Jaleel

Lovely vendors and treats all around

Mei Z

Fruits, vegs and meats are super fresh with a reasonable price. Most of stores are cash only or debit card with minimum purchase.

Nermin Ozdemir

Best place to shop for fresh veggies and fruits

Philip Isaacs

Lots of fresh local produce, friendly vendors, just be aware that there are vendors that sell imported produce so not everything is local

Emma Szalay

Complicated becouse all of all the construction around, but the wendors are plenty. The prices are inside a little high, the outside is OK

Nathan Honsberger

Produce is decent and well priced but havent had anything else here that was worthwhile. Grew up near st jacobs and didnt realize there was such thing as a bad pepperette. Had one that had a casing that tasted like plastic and one that tasted like it was smoked in leaves.

Sandra Annett

Awesome market for local produce, meat and dairy. Not too touristy.

Ryan Bean

Not the same size as St Jacobs but the vendors are great and being located in downtown Kitchener as to the atmosphere, and makes it more convenient to shop local.

Ken Schmidt

Kitchener Market is always a great place to visit. We enjoy it more this time of year because of all the fresh vegetables to choose from. Definitely worth checking out we always have a great experience.

nicole janssen

Amazing food . EVERYDAY GOURMET is amazing they have some amazing crepes AND GREAT PRICES FOR BREAKFAST . ♡ Open 7 am to 2 pm . And $2.00 parking CANT GET BETTER THEN THAT

Navid msj

This is a nice place. Items are often cheaper than any other grocery markets in the K-W area.

Stacy Marcynuk

Great to see Ontario farmers selling fresh produce.

Russell Stuart

Great selection at a great price, wish it was closer to home I would go every weekend

Marnie Gooding

I love our Kitchener Market! I feel it is better then St Jacobs . The produce is Awsome with a good selection of vendors. Amazing prices and great dining options with a nice vibe overlooking the market!!!

Antony Paiva

Best place to get fresh fruits meat and savouries. Nice warm people and trustworthy.

Liz Skene

Not many organic stalls but lots of variety, local farmers, some Niagara fruit, and the greenbelt in north Erie area

Alex Lee

Nice friendly vibe... nothing too special about this place but would recommend visit as it has been part of Kitchener for over 150 years.

Anna Buhr

Always busy, but that's to be expected. A lot less selection in the winter months .. but again, that's to be expected! Nice area, and you can find good deals.

Barb Kirk

Love our Kitchener Market. Get super fresh vegetables and fruit for unbelievable savings.

Del Luxe

Nice,15 minutes drive from university of Waterloo

Miti Patel

There is a good variety of international foods, I liked that there weren't too many vendors so it wasn't an overwhelming amount of choices. It's like a mini version of St. Jacob's Market. The food is fresh and local and reasonably priced. And the vendors are very nice and friendly.

Kousik Das

Super place for nice breakfast and lots of fresh veggies fruits and meat

Michael DiCasa

Been a long time since I went to this market. Many years ago it was one of the best markets around. While not at that glory now I was surprised to see the selection of produce, various meats, and fish. Worh a visit of you are ever nearby. Parking can be a pain though.

Don Malcho

Had a very original Schnitzel and eggs and home fries breakfast at one of the several original local food kiosks ... great service and nicely prepared. Good value for various vegetables like beets and cauliflower and amazing huge perfect apples for baking. Great sausage vendor over near the wall leading to the veggies area ... got some amazing Andouille there that was terrific in my Gumbo. This market is not as big as the old location that used to be near the old Eaton's (now gone of course) but still a lot to offer. A lot of amazing looking baking that I have not tried (yet).

Micah Diller Harder

Fantastic local food! Great prices on the produce from the outside vendors, and many fantastic deals on meat inside. The upstairs restaurant market is fantastic, particularly the pupusa stand. The owner of the stand is wonderful and the pupusas are delicious, especially the pork and cheese.

Danny A

Helpful signs identifying local farm vendors vs resellers

Jay Thornton

Great place to get your produce and some groceries! Prices are amazing compared to super markets and other markets like St. Jacobs farmers market! This place offers mostly food options and a LOT of food options, the only thing I would like to see more of is craft vendors and fun quirky vendors. Nearly 95% or more is food vendors and very few other options. But still a fantastic place to get your weeks food needs! :) it's usually busy so be prepared to rub shoulders ;)

Adunola Olabisi

This is a place to go if you want farm fresh products at very cheap price. The market is opened every Saturday.

Rob McIlroy

Great market during the summer for fresh vegetables and fruit. Even in off season there are great vendors indoors offering a great variety of meats, cheese, honey and baked goods.

Tina H

A lot of great deals on fruits and vegetables, good selection on meats and delis. You can find apple cider here, honey, maple syrup, breads and pastries, eggs of various sizes white and brown, chocolate, cheese, fresh flowers, and freshly squeezed orange juice. Interesting restaurants available upstairs offering international cuisines. Free underground parking. Super cheap deals on strawberries, blueberries, and tomatoes can be bought here.

Wayne Riehl

Good restaurants in the food court. Good food and fair prices. However it is a place where locals just sit and take up space therefore the atmosphere is sketchy.

chris

Great selection of vendors lots of Quality food here

Jonathan See

Lots of food options and the fruit and veggie prices are very fair. Come near closing time (around 2:00) and you may get some.end of day discounts.

Richard Fuchs

Decent local market with a lot of local fruits and vegetables as well as meat, cheeses, treats and more. Can you get very crowded though and parking is a bit of a chore. Going quite early in the morning is a good idea or if you're looking for bargains you can try going around closing time.

Eric Hiebert Rempel

Tried on-line order and pick up. Very fast and efficient. Great service and safe!

Carolyn

We chose Kitchener Market for our wedding reception and it did not disappoint! Our reception was held in the programming room upstairs, and it had plenty of space for 10 round tables (8 people at each), a bar, a dessert table, a card table, and a sweetheart table. Michele was so helpful: she ordered linens, found us a bartender, made sure we had access to audio equipment and a podium, already had contacts with the caterers, and answered all of my (many) emails inline so that I felt comfortable as the day quickly approached. There was plenty of room to dance, and everyone had so much fun - we can't imagine it being that easy anywhere else. There were staff there to help us set up, and they took care of all the tables and chairs, so the clean up for our wedding party wasn't too cumbersome. It was really such a wonderful experience, and we highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fun, easy, not too formal reception venue. Thank you to the team at Kitchener Market for such a gift!

Christian Fellar

E excellent gathering place and place to sleep and smoke up

tekhlit gebray

It is my best market in kitchener ,i like and when ever i think of some thing fresh ,freshco is always at my first list

Kevin Hillier

First time visitor, will definitely make it part of our Saturday morning routine. Loved it!!

Katherine Dietrich

Where are all the great vendors. Not so good but worth the trip.

Stephen Ropp

Well, it's local ish ... yes fresh produce from farms in the area, the area is quite vast so sometimes you're getting produce from quite fast away which in my mind is not local. It's worth the drive to St. Jacob's for much more of what you're looking for.

Christina Chen

Fantastic place to buy fresh vegetable and meat :) also many delicious breakfast choices。

Tim Bolitsky

This is a fantastic location for the Market

Arun Talwar

Good substitute, during winter time, for St. Jacob's market....????

Cindy Mckinley

Great local vendors! Hit Finest Sausage every saturday morning for the best bacon in town

Mike Jay

Was with some friends getting out of the wind to talk and have a smoke since it was windy and freezing cold out, one security guard blocked the only exit to the back area and pointing a bright strobe flashlight towards us while demanding that we vacate the premises immediately, one person that was with us was heavily epileptic and would have been forced to stare at the strobe light in order to leave. All of us loudly and repeatedly notified the security agent that we would gladly leave if he would turn off the strobe effect due to said possible epileptic seizures. He utterly refused to comply even when his partner requested he turn off the strobe. The security person actively attempted to shine the strobe light directly at the person's face that was epileptic and loudly proclaimed that "No I won't turn it off, I like doing this" which is a direct quote by the way, we have it recorded as I turned the video recorder on one phone after we spent time repeatedly advising him about direct medical consequences if he didn't turn off the strobe. The man had options, such as click the button to change it to either the high or low light settings if he was concerned about lack of lighting or turning it off completely as there was ample ambient light. That man did the equivalent of eating peanut butter with his bare hands right before shaking the hands of someone with peanut allergies and breathing in their face

AJ S

Maybe i have been there once or twice getting vegetables and just going to the bathroom

catherine charbonneau

I love the Kitchener market. Lots of hot food on the second level. Lots of great fresh produce from local farms. Meats, cheeses, and sweet choices as well.

Steve Bullock

great fresh local vegetables and produce. Prices better than the grocery stores and fresher! Support local farmers.

Alice Malina

This is the best and most inexpensive place to buy fresh herbs, fruit, vegetables and plants for gardening in the spring. Why travel to St. Jacob's just to pay more if you have this gem in town!

David Bowman

Love this market!! Exceptional selection of local produce and meats!! Very few Saturday's that we don't end up going!

Shannon Sweeney

Great programming goes on here all week long. Great variety of vendors as well.

Peter Viregh

I shop there every Saturday.Everyone is very helpful. Very good produce.

Jon Kuiper

Truly a unique venue for fresh produce and select foods. Bring the whole family for fresh breakfast and get your weeks grocery at a great deal!

Charles Millar

Great market experience! Love the addition of signs telling you which vendors are actually farmers, and which are just reselling wholesale purchased produce.

Steve Voisin

Best schnitzel and real Martin's summer sausage...

Philip Awere-Gambrah

I love this place because I get fresh and healthy produce that I am not able to get from the produce store. And they seem cheaper than what they are sold for in the produce market.

Amy

The kitchener market has a great selection of local food items. The prices are typically much cheaper than the grocery store and much more fresh. With covid, they now have controlled lines for entry and it hasnt been too busy at all.

Corinne Adlers

Great market! Can start with breakfast, get your groceries for the week, and shop for treasures.

Mary Stocks

This is my favorite place to go in Kitchener . an absolute must-see. In addition to the most diverse crowd of bustling shoppers and food stalls, there is often live music and a nice place to sit for lunch if you can find a table!

Evan

I buy all my veggies here i.e. kale. And if you're sellin me a kilo of raspberries for $5 you're damn right im gonna mix/match the pints I know the ones on bottom are rotten guys..

Terence Cheung

Great place with many food shop, but only open on Saturday.

North Star

I find it better than St. Jacobs. Only difference is that St. Jacobs sells clothings, hats, goggles etc. Which i do not buy at a Farmers market any way. Yes, sometimes parking is not easy. You may have to spend 10 minutes finding a spot. Many items sold here looks like were bought from wholesalers not grown by local farmers. But I still love this place and visit frequently

Snezana Usjak

Has everything that I need, good quality and fair price.

Gogu Boia

Local farmers selling products

Justin Dhondt

Service is great it's not too busy when the farmers market isn't there wonderful food

Melissa Prowse

Best farmers market that I have been to. Great food court are as well.

Rob W.

What did I like about this place? I love the convenience of having access to fresh food , vegetables and pastries all in one place. Competitive prices and you can also hassle to get a better deal as well. Upstairs of the venue has a bunch of food courts starting with simple coffee to Caribbean Jerked Chicken, downstairs is where there are fruits, vegetables, meat and pastries. Sometimes it's hard to find parking though, but other than that I can't imagine Kitchener without the market, for those who don't know, enjoy!

Keziban Taman

Nice place to have coffee in the morning!!

Jason T.

Local produce at good prices, and underground parking is free during the farmer's market on Saturdays.

Bonnie Brunet

It was my first time there, what a hidden treasure, friendly and fun place to spend a morning gathering local produce and backed goods

Patrick Massie

This is a historic spot in Kitchener where you can find great fresh diverse food as well as a farmer's market.

Sarah Hawkeye

Nice market, busy hard to find parking but lots to see and good vendors

Tania Derek

Fresh food (Saturday market fresh vegetables, fruits, meat) , affordable price, good cooked food cheap items, good quality, friendly environment

albert cheung

Farzaneh Rahmani

Great prices for local fresh produce, especially after 1pm when the sale starts.

Alex Barbosa

Great place to spend a Saturday morning with the family have breakfast and buy some local grown fruit and vegetables. Prices are very reasonable and always a great atmosphere.

Great prices on fresh produce and a wide variety of meats, cheese and bakery items

Gord Hessel

It was fun and you are buying Ontario fòod

Larry Scanlon

Always great produce. Happy to support local. Good things grow . . . in Ontario.

Samantha Gumbley

You can get a ton of produce for a cheap price. Better to go earlier as it gets really busy and crowed fast on the weekend. There is also fresh bread available for purchase and a variety of meats and lunch meats to buy.

Anna Zeretsky

Anna Tolazzi artisan chocolate on the lower level of the market was the highlight of our visit. Will be back for more next time I happen to be in Kitchener on Saturday.

Kelly Baker

Lots of variety! Fresh fruit and vegetables. Fresh meat, cold cuts, cheese, baked goods, etc. Go early for best selection.

Manal Refaat

Everything is there, amazing place to get ur vegetables, fruits, egg, sweet cakes.

Matt Dumoulin

Tons of great deals, great selection of raw and cooked foods. VERY BUSY!

Bryan Webb

I'm really happy to see that they are experimenting with running the market on Wednesdays. It would be great to have this be a permanent change! We always go on Saturdays and would go Wednesdays as well.

Emily Young

Best place to buy local and bulk vegetables. You get to know the vendors and what food you like. The events as well are worth attending.

Tim Gushue

Friendly vendors, great food, and an amazing selection. This market puts most every grocery store to shame!

Dan Eckert

Very well done during COVID. Not packed with people. Flows very well

barbara kenyon-hall

Picknick tables on the Patio are appreciated and the staff cleaning everything... the Music is svery special touch also!

Kevin Thomas

Great local market with fresh meats and produce. Great spot to grab breakfast and do some shopping and entertainment is pretty good as well

Great place to get your produce

Jeremy Nolan

Wonderful place to shop for fresh produce from local sellers.

Hena Habeeb

We can find all sorts of groceries here. Fresh and right out of the farm.

Sally Zheng

Lots of fresh, locally grown fruits and veggies for great prices! Quite crowded on Saturdays, but that's just how most markets are on weekends. Most vendors here sell food items but there are a few who sell crafts. I honestly regret not coming to this place more often.

Ali Boomer

Love it we go every week especially. Great service from girl named Alyssa she sells flowers at bottom of the stairs their products are s top notched and affordable for anyone who like fresh flowers all year my fiance buys me flowers every week from her and on average they stay fresh looking 2-3weeks. Love the food vendors upstairs we try something diffirent each week very multicultural something for everyone

Warren Mcnamara

Busy bustling place with great price and quality fresh produce, things significantly marked down at the end of the day!

Hentie Breytenbach

Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. A bit expensive though. If you are not early don't expect to get close parking.

rob hagey

Freshest produce, dairy, and meats, with multiple seller options for most items. Sourced both locally and globally, and cheapest options for unpackaged foods, and more exclusive selection compared to super market. Can be very crowded with parking becoming more complicated as lunch gets closer. Still less of a hassle then St Jacobs and more affordable by far. Oh and very friendly and at times quite gorgeous venders.

--

I love going to kitchner market. They always have great deals especially on strawberries. Get groceries have brunch great time

Ken Livingstone

Love the Kitchener market. Great friendly vendors and all local and well priced.

Helen Jackson

I have been coming to this market for many years. I have noticed in the last year or so that there is a lull in traffic inside the market. Some very good vendors have left. They carried very healthy products. Left me disappointed. It would be good to advertise more on your web site. It barely shows anything. It would draw more new neighbours to the market and make it more unprofitable for the current vendors. One left because they weren't making enough at their stand and they sold all natural products. Truly a sad day when they left. Tks for your time. Mrs. Jackson......

Dave Gascho

Great selection of fresh produce and amazing local vendors!!

Chris Duvar

Great selection of fresh fruit and veggies. There are also lots of meat vendors inside

taimoor dar

nice place for weekly produce on cheap price - box of mangoes for $5 & 8 boxes of strawberries for $6 - good deals. Mostly accepts cash only. Parking is paid + limited 2-hr free parking on king st which is hard to get.

William Blier

Fresh food at fantastic prices. Great place for breakfast as well.

Lumal Icheck

It always great, excellent food, fresh meat, vegetables, fruits and great service. It should be open 7 day a week.

Bogdan Ozog

When you parking in garage you have to wait in the line to elevator arriving upstart you waiting again in the line to go to the market how good is that

Arun Kumar Saini

Fresh vegetables fruits but they only accept cash. Summer is the best time, winter its indoor. Price of vegetables are reduced during the closing time best time to grab.

Albert Gebara

Products are not fresh whatsoever, you'd think they have fresh produce, too the contrary is vegetable that are store rejects and some items are priced higher than fresh stuff that you get at the stores

Tristan Fassel

This is a large, diverse, fascinating market! Bring cash and either enjoy hot fresh food, or marvel at the selection of grocery items. Breads, meats, herbs, produce, juice, fine chocolate - I've seen everything here! Watch for great prices at some vendors, too.

Sandra Soehner

It is not that big which is fine but when it comes to produce I was expecting more local items seeing as it is the season. The quality of some of the products I purchased were not that get either.

Tanya M

It's a bit crazy and hectic to get around but there are alot of good vendors if you manage to figure out the maze.

Brittany Burns

Aside from being crowded it's a must.

Danielle Shipley

As a weekly market goer, I can't speak highly enough about it. You can't get high quality goods at such low prices anywhere else. Forming relationships with your vendors and their products truly makes it much more of an experience than a typical grocery trip. Saturdays bring live music & events, and it's always a cheery, bustling atmosphere. I look forward to it all week!

paul hebert

Love this market everything is fresh

Rick Mathewson

Interesting place, great for shopping for different food, and they have good apple fritters

Izabela Wyllie

My favorite place to go on Saturdays. The vendors are all amazing. You save so much money and you can support local. Plus the food upstairs is so delicious.

Maurice Caetan

Great deals to be had here! Whole basket of red and yellow peppers for $4, five english cucumbers for $2.50, box of mangoes for $6.

Jennifer Parry

Friendly people, decent social distancing, great produce and very affordable produce!

Yvonne Rothmaier

Love the market, have my favourite vendors who are mostly the actual farmers. I come Saturdays and get my coffee and pattie then I'm set to got do some serious shopping

Khaled Shablout

Fresh vegetables from farms Very good place for big family shopping or who likes fresh vegetables You can just pay cash

Jeremy Trueman

Totally over crowded, no social distancing, people walking with no masks or wearing them improperly. A lot of produce from vendors from the US and Mexico.

Bridget Nicholson

Excellent variety and great prices on fruits and veggies, even in the winter. We love the Kitchener market over st. Jacobs but parking is a beast and so are the crowds so time your visit carefully.

Linda Castle

Good. Doing the best they can understand the circumstances. Keeping it organized and safe

Tom Scott

If you value buying quality local goods at a fair price, this the market for you .

Sammie Sananikone

Bakery items are one of the best downtown Kitchener, but they're not organized to well with people constantly by your side,

Pablo Millan

Good Brunch and cheap prices for the veggies and fruits

Jennifer Ladano

A great place to go if you want to get local. Simply Delicious has the best breakfast in the tri-cities. Bread Baron has great sandwiches, Caribbean Kitchen has excellent Roti, Serriania cafe has coffee that you will keep you going all day long. If I'm in DTK on a weekday (closed Monday) I have my lunch there. Nice and quiet. Go there. You won't be disappointed.

M Zed

So much fun! Prices are definitely worth the trip if anything, cheaper then what you would find at any grocer! Great way to start any saturday.

Zeljko Loncar

Every Saturday I am at market great place Charles Quality Meat and Fekete farm amazing people

Tim Stork

Great local market for fresh local food. Good in the winter too for meats, cheese's, and fresh prepared foods.

Carito C.

Always enjoy this place, lots of good deals. Parking can be an issue though. It would also be really helpful if city staff actually enforced the rule of no parking on the little lane beside the market, where vehicles aren't supposed to anyway ( except for a few spots). Annyoing drivers tend to just station themselves there causing unnecessary congestion. I have even seen cars left parked in this area. Follow the rules people!

M. Shadowwalker

Great place for fresh meats, cheese and vegetables.

Steven Potje

Great place for local meat and produce. Some non-local produce as well to supplement what is not grown nearby or in season. Better supply of produce than the St. Jacob's market in the Winter, with less crowds, parking more limited later in morning

Cameron Isaac Johnson

Nice market, very responsible and up to date covid tracking.

Jennie Lane

Great little market in the heart of downtown Kitchener! Tons of fresh fruits, veggies, meat and more... Mostly locally sourced (but look for the small signs that say Ontario amongst the vendors). A nice food court above the whole market, with all different cuisines, which is also open throughout the week as well!

R. T.

Free parking . Lots of vendors. Fruits, veggies, meat, cheese .... and all you can emagine ... place to shop eat relax and chat with people.

Kkrishn Vaish

A great Saturday market for buy local produce of great quality and always a deal...

Merijn Wijngaard

The place to be on Saturday morning. Wide variety of products and nice places to eat & drink upstairs. There are also nice music performances.

Calvin Kwok

So many fresh fruits and great friendly people selling great produce!

Jeff Kailing

Best way to load up for the week's fresh produce and meats. Can't go wrong with breakfast and lunch options once your done shopping.

Graham Stonebridge

Has quite a few meat vendors, which seems to be unique to Waterloo Region. Walk or transit if you can because parking is insane. Also be careful not to buy from the stalls that import produce because often there are better local farmers' stalls.

s0f41

Tried supporting local. Doors locked at 11:30am? All signage states 7am. Change the signage or open the doors. Venders need the foot traffic.

This is my favourite market as the prices are a bit better than the other markets in the area. There are a few parking lots within a two or three block radius so really not a problem parking. And this market is under cover so no problem to visit in the rain or snow.

Very nice and clean place. They have a Charles meats so I was a happy camper with some great food to BBQ ????????

Colin Galbraith

Great food, some prices are amazing some are too high. Bread should he consumed within 2 days to avoid mould.

Amazing deals some venders are very rude in the produce area all I wanted was grapes and I walked away from one rude vendor that was ignoring there customers maybe cause there music was to loud .. idk .. one guy was to busy eating while the ladies had no interest in working However everyone one else was amazing the sweet Dutch girls and the picked eggs were by far my favourite vendors.. and the products were to die for

The vendors are great - make sure you try South Central Sausage, and Anna Tozallini chocolates, as well as all of your basic grocery needs. Can be a bit crowded sometimes, but grab some friends and some coffees after your shopping, and enjoy the atmosphere!

One of the best Farmers markets in North America. I like the ethnic diversity and great variety of foods. I wish my hometown market of Lancaster, PA was more like this one

Best day to visit is Saturday. A great place to buy fresh produce and locally sourced food. Parking is limited but not an issue if you are walking or taking public transit. Very close to LRT stop (not yet operating at time of writing)

Victoria Martin Pognante

Love Kitchner Market! Fresh vegetables & fruit, good price. Same with meats and bakery. Just nice to stop by on Saturday morning, grab a coffee and buy some food for the week. Coffee is actually pretty good as well!

We had a great time strolling around the market this morning. Loads of freshies and terrific prices

Gerry Sutton

Great variety, fare prices, nice facilities, welcoming people, top quality

Juana Sullivan

I would like the benders be on eby street like old times in summer time also chip parking for the tourist also more variety give chip rents in the building for one year. Stent more benders in the street for example Wednesday like old time.

Sarah Mahncke

Best place to visit on a Saturday morning. Shop from a variety of local vendors and farmers. While you are there, have a meal in the food court. It's delicious.

AK

Fresh and cheap! Also good place to connect with local farmers and encourage them.

Great place to really feel like part of the community and it's where my family and I go every Saturday morning. Real gem in this City

Devon Pearce

really great locally supported place you have to go get one of there apple fritters there to die for i hope that vendor never leaves

Mandey Moote

Really nice Market. Lots of options...both local and imported. There is an amazing German bread Baker there who shouldn't be missed.

Amitava “bhalu” Ghosh

It's a very good and cheap market. Things are available in fresh condition.

Been only a couple times, the first time everything was great second time some of the fruit was already spoiling and I didn't notice. Lots of vendors, just need to be diligent in picking over what you're getting. Prices are really good, would recommend giving it a visit
