The one problem with this fresco is the shells are regularly empty the store is disorganized and is known to be very messy the staff is not always helpful and I find a store very dis-organized overall. I also find that it is also hard to get a shopping cart at this location as they never fill up their place where you can get a shopping cart their cashiers are also very unfriendly that is why am giving them a little mark on this review however their prices are fairly good that is one good thing about fresco.

The good points: low prices and a better variety of international foods than most of the non specialty groceries in Waterloo (which isn't saying much. Waterloo is soo white!) Bad points: No PC label foods, produce is on the lower end quality wise and find doesn't keep as long and there are many things I can't find or limited options (as one expects at a low tier grocery store) But after having shopped at No Frills in the GTA for years I find myself consistently disappointed and frustrated here and end up only shopping here once a month when I only need basics.

A shout out to Fresh Co on the corner of University and Bridge in Waterloo. I dropped my toothpaste and when I got home, I realized that I didn't have it. I suspect I dropped it in the parking lot. When I went back the next day, they replaced it free of charge. Incredible customer service. So refreshing...

The staff is helpful and friendly, the shelves are well stocked and the produce is usually quite fresh. I'm a little concerned with the amount of refrigerated stock that I often see in crates in the middle of the isles waiting to be put into the cooler section and my breads and cheeses from there seem to go mouldy before best before date so that is frustrating. Other than that it's a great location.

Frescho is following Covid regulations. You line up outside but it moves quickly. The store is clean. Staff all wearing masks and gloves. Produce is fresh. Shelves are stocked. My new go to store. Plenty of parking as well.

This FreshCo has been my main go to grocery store for many years. In that time I've seen it go through various upgrades and am glad to say that this store is always clean, well organized and now also features a good selection of ethnic, vegan & gluten-free foods. Produce and meats are always fresh and the staff is very friendly. I particularly enjoy seeing the owner around the store quite often, helping his staff and greeting his customers! My family shops here regularly. Price and selection are fantastic, not to mention a great staff of mostly younger, high school/university students. The only thing about this store and location is that if you are shopping for meats and/or fish, they don't have a good selection of products. Not to mention the price on said meat and fish are really quite high for the quality

This is due to the two cashiers at till 1 and 2 (one girls name is Andrea) on Sunday...they two girls were very unprofessional cracking rude comments about customers very loudly, that you could hear them and laughing about the customers. I was a regular shopper here, and I priced match every week because "LOWEST PRICES GUARANTEED". One evening, as I was going through checkout trying to price match, everyone of price matches was declined. I have now switched to shopping at Walmart, and they alway price match, without hassle. Today I stopped to pickup a few things, and tried to price match ground turkey. Again my price match was declined. The reason "Family pack only." I tried to explain, that under the "Lean Ground Beef Family Pack" That "Extra Lean Ground Chicken or Turkey at 450g was 2.88 each. Again I was told, "Nope, that is for family pack only." This often the response I get when I try to price match. I will continue to shop at Walmart. Sorry FreshCo, but you have lost a loyal customer

Shoddy produce, poor selection and chronically long lines. Decent for popping in for the odd quick common item. Otherwise well worth the trip elsewhere, especially to the nearby Wal-Marts. Today I even noticed a notice on the door stating the FreshCo would search all hand bags and back packs, a place that assumes they can search me without warrant isn't a place I want to shop.

Our family has been shopping at this location for last 17 years , Its is our favourite grocery store for the longest time, always experienced good service , however today we had to go through a very bad customer service . Ms. Sue was the cashier at the checkout this evening, We found her extremely unpleasant ,rude and racist. She chose not to greet us but happily greeted the person ahead of us, she did not bother to ask whether we needed any plastic bags. She hurried up on us and closed the till right after finishing with our transaction. Hope the Store Owner take a serious note of this and ensure that such obnoxious service is not repeated.

I completely respect and understand the line ups necessary to get in and out of retail stores right now. I do the majority of my grocery shopping at Zehrs. They have a line up for express check out and a separate line up if you have more items. FreshCo does not offer this service, so I lined up for a very long time with the majority of the customers in front of me with full baskets. I had one item. It would have been faster for me to drive to Zehrs, which is a bit farther away.

Reasonable pricing makes this place pretty busy most of the time. Wouldn't be my first choice for quality or selection out side of fresh produce. If affordability is what you are looking for its a good place to shop and there are some things, namely international foods, that can be found here and not elsewhere. If it's after 4 and before 7 during the week get ready to wait. No bagging staff makes for slow moving people.

I've been shopping at this store for 10 year- since it was a Price Chopper in fact. And the people have always been wonderful. The produce clerks always greet me when I end up beside them (I spend most of my shopping time there being a vegetarian) and whenever I've asked for help finding something in the shelves the staff has been enthusiastic and quick to show me. The produce is fresh and lasts longer than it does from other grocery store competitors and at better prices. The cashiers are efficient and patience with my kids paying after they help load everything on the belt. I even once ended up forgetting a bag of groceries, went back to the store and they gave me everything I said I had forgot without question. Tonight was the only experience I've had there that's irked me. I purchased some arugula 2 days ago and it was supposed to be good for at least another 2 days past today, which was fine since planned on using it today. This morning when I went to make my lunch I opened the package and unfortunately it was all wilted and starting to get soggy. Naturally I took it back to the store when I had the chance. Sandra, the cashier was originally helpful and straightforward but when I can back with my replacement she told me that what I had brought back had salad dressing on it. No, it wasn't dressing it was decomposing greens. I told her that I didn't put anything on it and she just raised her eyebrows at me. I have never, in 10 years, returned something to the store and the one time I did with a product that had gone bad before the expiration date that's the treatment I got... I was incredibly disappointed when I usually have such great interactions with the staff. I know you probably get people who try to take advantage of the store but I am not one of them. I like going to the same place and having enjoyable visits. The store is 99% of the time great shop at. This one time won't sour me but I hope that Sandra shows me more respect in the future.

Very well stocked, but be prepared for long lines. They carry a good variety of stuff along with great international snacks and desserts to try. The staff however is absolutely phenomenal. A+ all the way. Over the years I have shopped a lot here and I have seen the staff members go way beyond their expected job to help customers. I highly recommend this location.

The best balance of higher quality and lower price compared to other stores. Also, there is a lovely selection of international foods. Iranians and Middle Easterns: you can find plain/flavoured sugar cubes (cardamom/saffron/cinnamon), pomegranate paste, tiny raisins, and yogurt drink (dough/ayran flavoured with mint). This is a great little grocery store for quick needs and to get the basics. Only lost stars for variety (but it is a smaller store) and there does need to be more cashier's on for quicker service at busier times of day. Edit: I've now added a star as they complete their renovations. The store is now more open and easier to navigate. As well they now seem to have more staff on at busy times of day. Your shoppers appreciate the efforts being made. Now let's get that fifth star!

I love FreshCo for it's canned and bottled items. They have some great saving offers on toiletries too but what really really puts me off is the quality of produce. On more than one occasion I have got a bag of carrots/apples etc and seen fruits that are.rotten and shouldn't be sold. Two weeks ago I bought a pack of chicken drumsticks and as soon as I opened the packet or stank of bad meat. I did take it back and the staff refunded my money but that's the last thing you want when you have a saucepan ready to cook dinner and your freshly purchased item let's you down. I will stick to buying salad dressings and canned items from FreshCo but not chicken and fruits for sure.

Today I witnessed the owner of this store running the line wearing his facemask on his chin, not covering either his mouth or his nose. Another customer called him out on it and he rudely said it would "fog up his glasses" and continued to wear it wrong. I am so disgusted and will not shop here any more.

Appalled at how little social distancing was actually taking place. Checkouts should not be running 3 people in rapid succession through while expecting customers to be packing their groceries at the same time. There was no break between customers and the cashiers didn't even attempt to pace the traffic to maintain the mandated social distancing. Very disturbing, particularly since this is (or was) my usual grocery store. Do better if you want to protect your customers!

I personally love this location. The prices are hard to beat. At times quality in produce lacks but if you eat fresh, within a couple days, it's fine. I've often seen the store manager on the floor unpacking boxes. The store is clean. I drop by at least once to twice a week and while sometimes the lines can get long when everyone ends up at the cash together, it's nothing out of the ordinary compared to other grocery stores.

I often frequent Freshco as it is very close to my home. Today I went in for the sale on steaks and the young man working was beyond helpful. Showed me where they were, advised me that if I wanted to take a look at some more he would pull some out of the back room - which he did. Also, helped me choose a few beauties. This is my 'go to' grocery store. Realistic store size, while maintaining a good product selection. On occasion I do need to go to a larger franchise in order to purchase special/out of the ordinary items. It does not have a deli but they do have package deli meats. An enjoyable shopping experience for most of our grocery needs.
