Average to small in size with limited selection. Produce lacking in quality compared to other grocers. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Store has a strange layout but most areas are adequately labelled. Not my usual No Frills. Will not return unless absolutely necessary.

The products where good but the aisles are soooo small you can barely fit a shopping cart going in each direction. Everything is so cramped. There is not enough room to line up when there are a decent amount of people waiting to check out. I went at 10am on a week day expecting it to not be too busy and it was SO CRAMPED.

The rows of shelves are too close to the cashiers, so it is impossible to get to the ends of the aisles because the cash lines are consistently backed up into the aisles. They added self-checkout but didn't allow room for carts to get thru past the first person using the self-checkout, and that is assuming they could even get thru the cashier lines to get to the self checkout. They will not price-match at self checkout like other Loblaws-based stores, even tho it is the same kiosk software. ... the staff is great, but the store itself is a terrible experience.

It's a small store, doesn't have a big selection as a result. Some of the aisles are very tight. They do price match if you're looking for that. They do require a 25¢ deposit for the shopping carts. Otherwise, it's a regular grocery store.

So I ride my new e-bike to No-Frills and get there 10 mins before they were closing. I see the one employee standing inside where they store the carts and ask him if I can leave my bike in there with him as I’m just grabbing one item. He says sure I’ll watch it for you. I come out 4 mins later and it’s gone! He let some guy claiming to be my brother take it. I am black this other guy was white! It took close to 2 weeks for the store manager to finally get back to me who very rudely said we are not responsible and no you can’t watch the surveillance footage.

This No Frills is way larger than the one in Oakville. There were fabulous in-store deals that were not advertised in the flyer. For example, 6 packs of Royal 2 ply facial tissue 100 sheets were $2.97--that's basically 50 cents per box. The produce looked very fresh and all the items that I wanted were in stock. This location has self check outs in addition to cashiers at check outs. Everyone gets into one long line for the check outs. Even though I went on a Saturday afternoon, the store was not crazy crowded. The lineup for the cashiers moved quickly. Low prices and great products. I would recommend this place for all your grocery shopping.

Not a fan of this No Frills. Staff is not friendly for the times I have gone in the past. Went there today and the customer service rep was rude. I asked her if she could help and she didn't respond until I asked her the 2nd time. They advertised in their flyer for a specific item and when asked if they had it in stock they didn't get it, couldn't provide me with an answer if they were going go get it and told me they don't offer rain checks. Once she gave me the information she just walked off. I was able to go to a supermarket that had what I was looking for, and the staff was a lot more pleasant . The nicest person I've encountered is Brent.

I've noticed that this store has dropped several safety precautions during COVID-19: - Staff are no longer wearing masks, especially cashiers. - Cashiers no longer wipe down conveyer belts, debit terminals or high touch surfaces around the converter belt between customers or even after a few customers have passed. Plexi glass barriers are not cleaned regularly. -Corporate or management has put pressure on this store to open all available lanes on certain days, making physical distancing between customers impossible. You bag your groceries while they let the next person squeeze behind you and breathe down your neck (literally) - No longer counting customers on the way in and less cart cleaning than in the past. They don't mention that they've stopped doing these things in their flyer, so I thought you should know. -

Good store, but I would be careful when choosing vegan products. One brand, "Okanagan's Soya Products", was placed in the vegan cheese section even though this product still has milk protein in it. I would have bought it easily thinking it was dairy-free, but thankfully I read the ingredients...the product is extremely misleading since it is labelled as a "cheese alternative."

They also price match there and allow for PC Optimum points at the till. They offer self scan at one end as well and have a person available when there is a question.

This store has a poor layout. The isles are narrow and the over all feel is very claustrophobic. On busy weekends they don't have nearly enough check out lanes open. The produce has always been a disappointment. On a positive note the staff are friendly and the prices are cheap like any other no frills I've shopped at.

This Kitchener store has great and friendly staff, Covid controls are very poor, the store is small and too crowded with narrow isles. Some advertised flyer specials are nowhere to be found or they never made it to this store location. Today’s example was the frozen duck on sale on the flyer. There was none at the kitchener store, I drove to Guelph and they had a full freezer section of what I was looking for. This is a repeat of past specials or advertised items. I had previously started going to the Guelph stores to do my weekly grocery shopping and I always find better Covid entrance controls, wider aisles and all of the discounted items advertised in the flyers. The Kitchener location should learn from their Guelph neighbours.

Good selection of groceries. There are times when areas of sale items are bare and will not be restocked. The stock staff seems to have vendettas against shoppers, as you are expected to move out of their way without notice or even an "pardon me". It seems like the cashiers are the only pleasant staff.

The no frills in Cambridge are a totally different experience compared to this one. Unfortunately, this is the only one in K-W, so we just take it dry..

Timings are good, employees don't know where things are - unhelpful! The help also seemed rude, customer service deserves -2.. Compared to Dominic's No frills (Guelph), there are less deals. Less variety! Was looking for a specific product, and able to locate the packaging when I was informed that there's nothing else in the aisle, and when asked multiple times I was simply informed that product is not available. The prices are high (higher than Walmart Supercenter with more convenient offers and NoFrills, Guelph). And there is even less variety in dairy and frozen food. I like NoFrills a lot, but I felt like my time and money was somewhat wasted in this visit. Disappointed ☹️

I originally rated this place 5 stars because of how clean they were at the beginning of lockdown. While I just went in there today and it has gone down horribly. I didn't see a single cart sanitized, I didn't even see the cleaning supplies for it. The actual shopping experience was fine, that's why I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1. The big issue came to checking out. The cashier was not cleaning her hands at all, nor cleaning her station. She let once person check out then the next without cleaning or stopping to allow 6 feet in the checkout area. It was disgusting and so unsanitary. If my place of work requires me to clean constantly then why doesn't this grocery store? I will not be shopping here

Not the first choice to buy produce at, but if you're eating it that day, the prices are usually right. Everything else in the store ia usually cheaper than everywhere else, I would estimate that an average person saves 10-15% doing all their shopping here.

I would give this store zero stars if I could! I have traveled to this store often to buy some of the loss leaders (I'm only surviving on govt pension so I need to), and they are more often than not gone. This has happened many times on the first day of the sale. They don't want to sell low priced items, just use them to attract buyers. What a scam. I've complained many times, even called Loblaws to make my grievances known. They don't care. AND: no rain checks . Shameful and the worst grocery store I've ever been to.

Horrible cashier / store experience! Trying to make there own rules and limit items that clearly as not stated in their flyer as having a “limit” The manager actually came to the checkout and took cases of luncheon meat from the lady that was in front of me “absolutely no mention of a item limit in the flyer” Not to mention the rude and unprofessional manner of the cashier But anyways if your going to set limits on sale items then clarify and make it present in your flyer ! Not promote something just to attract people ( That’s called false advertising)

Located in a sketchy area, parked my car in the lot at 4:30pm to have a beggar knock on my window, when I kindly refused they went on to walk the parking lot peering into other vehicles parked in the parking lot. Decent grocery store with a wide selection of products. No frills has cheap prices and it shows as the store is often crowded and fairly disorganized. The staff is also nothing to marvel at as they can be kinda rude and not always the most helpful, I chalk that up to being quite busy though. Overall, if you need a grocery run it's a good place to go and you can pretty much always find what you need. Of you're looking for unparalleled customer service however, maybe look some where else.

Great location with easy access and large parking lot. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good qaulity produce and terrific prices most of the time. Store is generally always very clean and tidy, although at times it feels crowded due to its size. We personally shop here very often and no complaints other than I miss not having boxes at the front as they use to for packing your groceries to avoid plastic or bringing your own bags.

I like this store. It is always busy and the aisles are a bit tight but they normally tend to have their sale items in stock. There is always staff out and about restocking the shelves. They are great at doing price matches. The cashiers are friendly and engage in small talk with the customers. The store was renovated a couple of years ago. The refrigerated and frozen sections are behind glass doors now. There are some open freezers at the end of a couple of aisles with sale items in them. Parking lot is also a bit tight. Try to avoid driving by the storefront as there is always lots of pedestrian traffic with people going in & out of the store. During the spring and summer months they have an outdoor section set up in the parking lot with plants, soil, etc. for sale.

I help my friend who is using a wheelchair. It was extremely difficult to navigate the store by pulling the shopping cart and pushing the wheelchair simultaneously. The isles were narrow and people were stocking the shelves, which made the isles more narrow. It would have been very helpful if the store had an electric shopping cart for my friend. This No Frills is like the ones in Cambridge. I call them the Out Of Stock Stores. Just now Nov 28th the flyer says, No Name Peaches, $2.47 a can. I go there on a Thursday the day the flyer comes out, not in stock. Wont be in till Saturday!!! Two stores no peaches and then the week before that I go looking for Distilled water. Two stores completely sold out. You can never find Distilled water in these stores or much else for that matter. I try to avoid here. They have produce in stock but thats about it. Their bread is hard as a hockey puck. Out of stock on milk sometimes too. Food Basics now gets my vote and business.

This place almost never has what's in their own ads, and the staff give you attitude if you try to complain. It's almost a guarantee that if you have three on-sale items from their Thursday ad on your list and you show up on Friday morning, they'll be missing at least one and usually two of the items. We're talking about, literally, dozens of attempts. I keep trying since the store is right beside my gym. There are several other No Frills stores nearby that almost always have the same items in stock. Very frustrating and not much fun. What's worse, No Frills is maybe the only major food chain in Ontario that doesn't offer rain checks.

Great place and great staff, everytime I visit I am always greeted with a warm welcome from the cashiers and find myself regularly engaging in a pleasant conversation with them. It's not hard to feel valued when you receive customer service like that, the prices are fairly similar to other places and better up kept than Food Basics.

I have been a faithful NO FRILLS shopper in the past. The recent change in ownership did bring in some needed renovations but since then, prices have increased. Today, I stopped by to pick up a couple of things but took a look at the lineups for the check out and left!. Even the express check-out was lined up back into the aisles. Regular checkout line was backed up to the freezer section. Most of the checkouts were with out a cashier. Only 4 on and that included the express lane. With competitors boasting all lanes open on the weekend, this situation is not only a frustrating time-waster, it is unacceptable! You NEED to do better. I would give you no stars but this app won't let me post unless I give you a minimum of one :-(

The prices are good, but I'm not a big fan of this store. It feels really claustrophobic and it gets insanely crowded with long lineups at the checkout blocking the aisles. The cleanliness is also not the best. Produce does not last very long or is very good quality but pantry items are a great buy here. Meats are okay, but not the best cuts. No Visa accepted. The parking lot is also not very well laid out and can be a bit cumbersome to navigate.

2 years of only having sale items, or other store’s sale items in stock about half the time - regardless of time of day or day of the week. I should know better by now. A year later, stocking is still terrible, and apparently you get the flyer price OR the reduced for date code price, not the date code price off of the flyer price. Because you “can’t stack discounts”. No “Frills” indeed. And stay away from the “imperfect” line of produce. They say it’s shaped oddly or not the perfect size, but it’s also always been badly bruised and won’t last.

Hi so so so disappointed with No Frills I am a customer with a large family to feed and have been a loyal customer for years now. However I won’t be anymore sad to say. I loved No Frills for the convenience of price matching not running to two/three stores. However I have been noticing a few things in the last year, The now limit of price matched items the taking of the item off the shelf or not restocking if they do keep it there or perhaps some were removed but just enough left to make you think it was not entirely removed. This saved time and gas but today was the last straw when you walk in planning to spend $200.00 and walk out only spending $7.00 that should send a huge message sort of like Miracle on 34th street except wouldn’t you rather have all the $ at your store verses your competitors? Guess not. Bye bye ????

6:30/7:00 p.m. last night actually, so I'm not reviewing as directed, what's happening "right now". The veggie bins along the perimeter were ranging from empty to almost empty. (identical to my only other experience shopping here in evening hours). I went looking for bagged veggies, to find only bagged broccoli.i want mixed, but it brought to mind the sign at Swiss chalet saying they now have broccoli & cheese soup. No thank you for me, but I hope I can still get 2/$6 chicken as it comes with a few veggies and I like to give it to the boulevard people, if when I see them, I'm not sure where they've gone. I and they would only be able to get that price if I buy an entre, not half the enjoyment with soggy fries served luke room in plastic. Back to No Frills, baked goods - most were close to expiry but not on sale. Inventory gal said they only get marked down the day before, meaning I'd be in there new years Eve day, thank you no, but I have trouble eating it all before the expiry date at the best of times. I'm trying to keep my waste down. She didn't know if it was the same policy for salads or not. Not her department. Very pleasant gal, as all are staff. Oh I forgot to say, I was able to find a few loose dry beets for half the price of the bundled. Why did I say dry? The front bin had been sprayed so I fished for the dry around a fairly large moldy one. Water adds weight to "per pound produce." My mother, a child of the depression taught me to be freakin' frugal.

Value for money! A place where you can find the cheapest groceries. They price match most of the grocery stores in Kitchener. Definitely a must "go to" place. This is the only No Frills in Kitchener Waterloo area. Produce stock is usually low. I have always had trouble getting what I want. It's a hit or miss on many such items.

Full bag of rotten potatoes! And no way to call their store, only their 1-888 numbers! Like potatoes last a long time so how old are these potatoes if I bought them Friday and they are mouldy by Sunday!

Always too busy, not enough people working, and their produce and meat always goes bad in a day or two after buying it. Done shopping here.

Prices on somethings r reasonable and they do price match, however; I'm a price watcher. Photographic memory. Seems biweekly certain things keep going up, constantly. 9 cents, 12 cents, 19 cents, weird increments, but still, same things keep going up. I know, gas prices effect delivery cost on food, and that is usually passed on to the consumer, but when gas prices were down, below. 90cents a litre, the prices were still going up. I don't know, maybe this owner is pay off some home being built on an island somewhere when he retires. All I know, is eventually, u will tick people off enough, and you'll notice a rapid decrease in customers and sales. Sales being the key word, which will be the only time people come in droves to shop there's. Brent, you seem a reasonable guy, stop nickel and diming the prices up constantly. Thank u and cheers

Frustrating when so many of their sale items are not available in the store, sold out. Difficult to find a phone number to call them to find out if things are there before you go. I guess you get what you pay for.

Shelves half bare, staff not personable, treat customers like an inconvenience or in the way, store too small. I'd rather drive to New Hamburg

They don't always have the sales up that are in their flyer, and baskets are never restocked at the front when i go. But otherwise a typical no frills, good prices on many items, and the store is pretty clean.

Since Brent has left... the store has gone down hill imo. New flyer starts on Thursdays....by Thursday evening alot of items have already sold out .... could not believe how many shelves in the store were completely empty....looks like not enough clerks to stock the shelves over all ....they need to order more stock or set limits on how many you can buy....clerks say we don't know when the next order will be in...
