This Fruit Store corresponds to the category of Grocery store.
This store is fabulous. Grocery, clothing, pharmacy and optometrist all in one spot. Not to mention the hot food and grocery store sushi. Wow
Parked my car underground of Loblaws Rideau St. 5 days a week. The parking is bright, clean and easily accessible. Parking is accessible from inside store as well.
Love their ready to go meals. Even the pickiest in our family finds something to eat.
Very nice upper scale clean store. Proper amount of tills open for the level of business. Good food and cashiers.
a fantast lawblaws, the orange floor is god aweful though. wide selection of fresh and frozen foods. prices are high, but its a premium you pay for the lawblaws name and experience. hot food counter is good, id stay away from the things you have to heat yourself though, often dry hard and under-flavoured, go with frozen for 1/3 the price.
Very expensive and the new PC optimum points is allocated to very few items and the shopper' drug mart rewards are maybe 1 item , like they don't want you to shop there and get rewarded and cross the street and get fleeced. I am now with summer going to Farm boy in the Rideau Centre, cheaper on everything. All Loblaws does is push you to get their credit card with highest interests rates around. Shame on the billionare Weston family, how greedy can you get?
Always a great experience! Lots of items to choose from. Love the selection of already made meals and salads to choose from!
Nice place, u get a lot of daily stuff there
Love the handwashing station at the door. Well planned social distancing with customers following instructions.
Excellent store. Good quality products, always well-stocked. Carrys the PC line of products which are above and beyond in quality for their price, frequently surpassing their brand-name counterparts. Like Shoppers Drug Mart and no frills they also use/accept the Optimum points program. This location also sells alcohol during designated hours.
Wonderful! I just wish they had a small seating coffee área for quick bites like the one in Toronto on Christie Street.
It is very close and it is good for shopping. Late hours You can buy simple food and beer
Loblaws on rideau street is a good grocery store if you live downtown ottawa. You can park underground for free, you just need to show your receipt when leaving. There is lots of good sales and the grocery store is very clean. I just find that there is not a lot of staff on the floor helping customers but I recommend this place.
A lot of variety in the grocery section and they have a Magnotta wine outlet.
Good selection, fair prices but not so clean
The customer service was... it literally brought a tear to my eye. Literally! I don't think I'll be shopping elsewhere, unless necessary. You've earned me as a permanent customer. Thanks to I believe, Urhu? And her manager.
I had the chicken tenders and onion rings from the hot foods section, both were hard and stale. Very disappointing. They advertise that it’s made fresh daily but after this experience, I doubt it. I hope they can change this for the future.
There's a lot options if you want to try and experiment with different food flavour and if you are willing to spend a bit more$
the products are fresh, the price reasonable, the bakery is perfect.I highly recommend that
Overpriced and the customer service is non-existent to horrendous. I get it that they are paid minimum wage but holy. Lazy, inattentive, and grumpy.
Good location. Has lots of variety. Getting from cash to garage is a little annoying but we are downtown so understandable
Great selection of cheeses!
The grocery pick up was a bit slower than I'd like, but they had almost all of my selections and the quality was good. Overall, PC Express is a better option at this store than at Canadian Superstore. At least here they fulfill more than 50% of your order.
Roomy aisles, well organized throughout. Checkout is conducted in an orderly fashion with an emphasis on safety and social distancing.
Great store for most of ur shopping needs, but food basics has a better selection of different foods in their "international" isle. Also for such a large store they could upgrade they're public restrooms.
This Loblaw’s is huge and has loads of produce, bakery items, etc. to offer. The staff are always ready to helping and incredibly kind. One of the larger Loblaws stores you’ll visit and definitely worth the trip. There is even a separate bakery section that offers a large assortment of pastries, cakes and other treats. Aisles are always well lit and the store is usually maintained clean
This is a lovely store after the renovations they did last year. They have a very large fresh prepared food section now, which is great if you want a quick bite to eat, or to bring something home for dinner. The store has a large amount of stock and only run out of the best sales later in the sale week. The staff at the deli and bakery are quite friendly and usually very helpful. The prices are high, so if you're in the area and shop here regularly, you should make sure you're enrolled in the PC Plus program and probably consider the PC MasterCard's as well. The rewards from this program bring the average prices down to somewhere between discount and premium grocery store pricing.
Hungy
What you would expect from a typical loblaws
They do the student discount on Tuesdays and has way more selection then the metro down the street.
Good selection, super friendly helpful staff. Clean and organized
Great store!!! Fantastic soups!
Get most stuff, some quintessential Indian stuff is missing sometimes, otherwise good experience, staff is friendly, never forget your PC optimum card, I just got a 50 dollar discount from points accumulated!!needless to say loved it! Also the fish is fresh and amazing at the sushi bar.. excellent to cook
Great experience today using the curbside pick-up. We were very fortunate to get Syeda who was incredibly kind and you could tell she wore a big smile behind her mask. Thank you so much, Syeda!
Great variety, ready made salads.
Nice place in general with a great selection, but often over priced. Currently, with everyone having to distance, they aren’t using the express lane as an express, but they seem to only tell half of the people they can’t line up there directly. It wouldn’t be hard to cover the “express” word on the til if not in use. 10% off on Tuesdays for Western students if you show your student card.
One of the cleaniest and updated loblaws i've been to. Really nice to shop in Prices are kind of pricey.
Had everything I needed. Nice clean place
Very nice and clean furnishings and great selection of groceries as well as home essentials.
Amazing grocery store. Unlike any I've ever seen.
Nice store. All products fresh and good prise. Staff are friendly and welcoming
Good Selection of foods, Great for students at the university of Ottawa
love this store. fast and friendly (most of the time)
A great clean & friendly atmosphere. Of course you pay for the extras but definitely worth it and really good sales. The best part is the merging of the shoppers and PC plus points cards!
Little to no fresh vegetables or produce: they didn't even have Brussels Sprouts. If you're looking for produce, head to whole foods across the way or down Marine Drive to Fresh Street Market.
Always enjoy the shopping here. Fresh produce and a good selection of produce and organic food. Sometimes a little overpriced.
Loved the loblaws, but notice how they have screwed Gatineau, Quebec by eliminating the 2 Loblaws that used to be here!? Not impressed! Customer service ha, na the mighty dollar screw anything else
It's a 24 h store, which is excellent but I wish it was as big as other loblaws.
I shop here regulary. Staff are always friendly. They also help you if you ask for assistance
Had an issue with a PC product, so I went in to the customer service desk to ask about my options. They then called the store manager, and he was extremely nice and understanding. He went above and beyond what he needed to do to help me out!
Good all-round shopping place. Not much in terms of international foods. Social distancing markers are set up clearly. Handsanitizers available. Limited bike parking stands. Ample car parking spaces. Getting out of car park may be tricky in rush hour. Push carts and hand carry baskets available. Frozen section is good. Can get organic food as well. No Alcohol.
Made a spiderman cake thanks so much.
price is at the pricy side, the service are good. It's nice they have student discount at tuesday
This location is considered a full service store. (Minor point...the lighting was unusual, had to use my reading glasses a lot)
Everyone was so helpful and great selection of products especially in the beauty and health sections!
Not a bad spot considering its location. Security does a reasonable job at keeping the street people out.
Natural food aisles with gluten free and vegan options. Produce, cleaning, pet supplies. Underground free 2hr parking.
Extreme size store with prices to match. Even the No Name and Presidents Choice brand product items at this Loblaws location are far more expensive than in other chain stores and franchises run and/or overseen by Loblaws as a corporation. Hundreds of items that don't belong in any grocery store, massive size and geographic location are all things that have driven prices at this store through the roof. Not to mention the impersonal customer service you'll get from anyone on the floor (that is if anyone can ever be found) or at the front end from the cashiers. If you're a grocery store, then stick to that. When you start offering appliances, clothing, kitchen crockery, storage totes, bed sheets, and multiple other NON grocery items and services for sale then you're a DEPARTMENT store, not a grocery store, however; when real department stores have got you beat on ALL your pricing (including those of your actual grocery items) then what do customers call your store? Overpriced, that's what.
It's always great place to shop. Large store with friendly staff. Lot's of variety. Parking available too plus proximity to other stores for a convenient shopping trip.
Extremely inviting, ample healthy selection, exquisite displays, fair prices and friendly service. I am in awe with this location and wish I had one like it in Winnipeg.
They are discontinuing the delivery service which is essential for seniors and people with reduced mobility. Shame on them. Go to the Metro at King Edward, they deliver!
Today I was looking for cream cheese, sour cream and whipping cream which I could find variety of each them. This city market with plenty of free parking lots and clean wide aisles could be a nice place for shopping. Like the other Lablaws stores, you may find good deals on foods and ingredients plus collect Optimum points.
Great place to shop. Plus students get discounts on Tuesdays!
I shop here for the PC brand and the cheese section. Sales are decent and the cheese buns are what gets me up in the morning.
I only shop here, especially for pickles.
Decent store, not the best selection of vegetables but everything elsen isnt that bad either. Loblaws is set up so that the owner of the each different store has say in what is sold in that specific store so this owner might want to try different products and a bit more variants
Usually go to the one on Lonsdale where the deli counter is decent. Why can't someone teach deli staff to stack and stagger instead of pile of all in one spot. Italians and French know how to do this, why are English people so far behind?
Great food and love the decor! 10/10 would visit again
Beautiful big store with good products.
Can't beat 24 hour service, self checkout is a nice addition always very stocked and staff can be helpful. Serves alcohol and wine till 11pm. Closed on most holidays.
I love this place, wonderful selection of products and the cashiers are fast and friendly
Good variety, but prices often higher in average by 20%
A well-stocked Loblaws, nice and clean, have everything you could need. Staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. My only complaint might be that they don't often have more than a few cash registers open, even on the weekends when they advertise that all registers are open from 10am to 6pm - we were there a couple of weekends ago on a Saturday afternoon, and there were only 3 registers, so the wait can take a while.
Only from my own personal experience some products are not sold here and some products I get here is stocked very minimal. But money for value pretty good food is always great quality especially their meets ???? other then that 5 stars
Cant go wrong here, lots of fresh goods and a wide selection of everything.
The fruits and vegetables are fresh at Loblaws. The aisles are well maintained, and it is very easy to find what you're looking for. However, the prices are higher than other supermarkets like No Frills and Food Basics.
Relatively higher priced than other supermarket in London. But high quality products and very fresh produce.
Usually a good experience. Not sure why but was turned back from the smaller cash while buying a chocolate bar. Cashes are packed so it was confusing.
Good store, good prices, better than the old superstore across the street. I go here whenever I'm in the area. Good design and layout. They had everything I was looking for
Good place
Very large and well stocked. Otherwise everything you'd expect from a chain grocery store.
Everybody was super friendly I have vision problems and they were willing to work with me and they had someone that would walk around and help me with all my shopping
Amazing seafood and fresh fish selection. I stop in every Thursday evening to see what's new. If you get a chance to try the Pickle Point Oysters they're amazing! Fresh, meaty & briny!
Not my favorite location in the city, but in a pinch...
Grocery, Meats, Fish all upto the point and quality. Nice place for shopping.
10% off Tuesdays! Excellent layout. Another excellent Farhi Plaza
Free parking and got good deals and great service at the cash register.
Great location for a large store that's open 24/7, and now stocks beer (beer sale hours are not 24/7). Also a good option for parking by the market or Sandy Hill area.
It's one of the larger grocers downtown. It has a large variety of produce. It also includes a pharmacy. It can get a bit noisy due to many new families choose to shop here.
Quality is good prices are average.
Always a good experience here.
24/7 organic grocery
Lablaws City Market is overall a good affordable place for groceries and Sunday Sales! The basics are most affordable here and more so than other grocery stores on the North Shore. Having said that, produce is hit and miss with many selections coming from back east and the world. Same owners have a wonderful market across the street at Park Royal South called Osaka Super Market. This is an Asian market where the produce is fresher with more variety at competitive prices. Not to mention the best fresh seafood available on the North Shore. Alternatively, Fresh Market in West Vancouver has great produce. I personally regularly shop at City Market, Osaka, Fresh Market and IGA all in West Vancouver.
Great variety n sale prices
Decent grocery store, kinda pricey. I am still waiting for my $25 gift certificate for their price fixing.
Amazing staff, most of the staff are just really friendly and helpful. But....they have terrible produce and I have been there on several occasions where almost all of the bread on the shelves was expired. Some moldy. I have seen expired meat, expired "fresh" salads that had chicken or ham in them. I do find some really good deals so that's why I still shop there sometimes. Staff = awesome. Freshness = meh
We are from Toronto and we enjoyed shopping here! Clean and friendly staff! Merci a tous!
Great grocery store. Huge selection of products and staff is very helpfull. This store also offers free parking for all customers which is pretty rare for a downtown location. The store also has a very large section for organic and specialty foods as well as a large pharmacy.
Love that they have Flashfood. Expensive other than sale items. Very convenient to where we live.
Great food and daily cook meals for $5 plus taxes. Variety of products. Free food serving samplings and cooking school available on level 2.
When in the area, I shop there. Isles are well marked. Employees are very helpful.
Easy shopping, found what I was looking for. The underground parking is convenient.
Has a large variety of stuff, decent staff members
Got a better deal because out of stock.
Meh
Fantastic place to go! This, to my knowledge, is currently the one Loblaws with a vast confectionary department. On the down side, this is one of the smaller stores, with a smaller-than-average selection. Also sells clothes, however the clothes aisle is pretty substandard, as Loblaws goes. Good food, the prices, however, a little high (compared to stores like Price Chopper, NoFrills, etc) - but it's to be expected, judging by the neighbourhood.
A good little grocery. It's clean and well lit and the produce is pretty good.
Great options, more expensive than other places (even for the same product). They should have a Google kiosk where you can search for what you're looking for... huge place. I love the flower desk, great service.
Loblaws has a wide selection of things and at good prices. Some items are a bit high for me to reach and finding staff to help can be a bit difficult. All the staff I have encountered however are friendly. The aisles are nice and wide and its generally accessible. If you have any disabilities that are sound sensitive there are definitely times when it is less busy, even during the day. And I've never had an issue with wearing headphones while shopping here.
High prices and often out of stock of essentials but conveniently located, good student discounts and free parking.
Pricey grocery store - sometimes it's not because of overpricing but because they only carry a premium brand name version. Not for a budget conscious shopper. Be that as it may, they do have good sales on soon-expiring items like meat and produce, and they have a plentiful selection of organic produce, organic dry goods, special diet alternative foods, and hormone and antibiotic free meats (chicken and pork). It's also very fancy so there's a wide selection of ready to go meals, hot food, seafood, bakery items, chocolates, flowers and such. I wouldn't buy pantry items here, but meat and produce could be worth it for quality if you want to make a separate trip. The checkout staff are also uncommonly friendly!
Supportive staff. Well organized with large variety for fresh produce and grocery.
Absolutely terrible customer service. Employees have zero charisma and don't care about the customer. They sold me a box of frozen chicken that had gone rotten, and refused to give a refund without a reciept. Like are people going around to loblaws with rotten chicken to try and rip them off? This is not the first time I've received terrible customer service from this store, going to be shopping elsewhere in the future.
Store was well stocked for the long weekend except for the carts - only 2 inside. Cashier was very helpful and did a great job as it was busy. This is my usual grocery store even though many others are just as close. I like the way they treat their customers.
Very large Loblaws with everything you would expect from a big store. Prices are decent compared to other locations. Located in a very busy part of North London – which makes parking during peak times a real challenge. On a bus route of course and near a larger bus terminal so easy to get to from all of North London by bus.
The students working at the deli counter this evening were terrible, worst customer service ever! I stood waiting for 10 minutes both made eye contact with me but served other customers instead. I finally gave up and left. I will be doing a follow up call with managment as well.... I did do a follow-up call but no one seems to answer the phones.
Today was bad customer service day at the checkout on the express lane with Mary. I asked for a bag so I could begin packing and then in a rude tone interrupted me by asking for my optimum card. I repeated can I get a bag please and then she said something snarky. I had to take a breath to calm myself it was so abrupt. Likely this is a toxic person in the workplace and I was just in the wrong lane that day.
Clean. Love the openness of the whole store
Cashier Elena was really helpful in sorting my items and bagging them with perfection which I haven’t seen anyone doing till today. I wanted to share this experience and appreciate her. Her approach was extra ordinary.
Produce can be quite poor, and shelves are often out of stock. But now they have 2 student deal days which is awesome! When they only had 1 day, that would be the worst day to go...(and I'm a student)
I gave a four because the customer in front of me kept running back and forth to her groceries...a very long lineup to start and she wanted to keep her spot while still shopping. Cashiers are really great and kind.
Loblaws is a great grocery store. The prices are reasonable, except the premade salads and fruit assortments. Store is always clean. Sanitizer is available at the entry of the store.
Best grocery store ever. I do not know who rated this any less than a 5-star. This is my favorite place in the world, and I spend an hour there everyday. As a grocery retail connoisseur, Loblaws is at the top of my list for great-tasting food and fresh produce, excellent selection, need I say more? Come here for a good time, and friendly faces.
This is the (only?) place in London that sells donuts (by bulk) that isn't Tim Hortons. They're delicious!
Great store. Even with its downtown location there is always parking. Lines are not to long at all. Shelves are always stocked. The meat looks and tastes great. No complaints about the staff.
It was good , but unfortunately most of the sections are closed due to pandemic. The fruits and the vegetables are fresh , you can find all kind of cheese and lots of international products. I will be visiting them again for sure.
Went looking for a specific veggie and when we found them saw that they were not fresh at all. Brownish in color. Although we had passed at another store and they were the same. So we went and found other things and were satisfied. The cashier was nice and spoke French too so was nice when she started to talk to us in French since we were talking French when we were waiting our turn
I enjoy shopping at Loblaws. It’s so colourful and the floors are so shiny! ???? yes it’s a little pricier than other grocery stores but they also have some good items. ????☺️
With 24 hour shopping you can find all grocery needs and wants at any time. Clean and friendly place. Just watch out for the over night stockers.
Delicious takeaway options!!
It s clean big ,and a pleasure to shop thier prices are reasonable.
Loblaws has awesome friendly cashiers! T H A N K Y O U JUSTICE TRANSFORMATION!
The store itself is fine and it's just like any other Loblaws it's just a location that makes it not such a friendly and welcoming place with security standing at the door and the panhandlers outside
They have everything you could ever need to eat & great prices
Friendly staff and fresh produce
Everything i needed was there nice people at the deli.
By far, the nicest grocery store we have been in for a while. Great selection and well stocked.
Waaaaaay over priced and minimal selection of foods or brands. There is an amazing hot food/deli with tons of options though. They're not very good for grocery shopping but are good for a quick take away hot lunch.
Who's bright idea was it to put the line going into the store down Rideau street and blocking the exit? You've created more points of contact and turning away roommate's is doubling their chances of getting the virus. I get trying to keep everyone safe but you've doubled many peoples chances of getting sick (including your employees) by turning away people living together causing multiple trips per house hold and putting the line down the busy street and not the quiet side street. The staff themselves are great but products are over priced. In an area with mostly students and homeless people it's unfortunate that it's the only grocery store option
North London Loblaws is a great place to shop for groceries. Has a great cheese, bread and organic departments.
Need to double-check the price when check out, sometimes the price on the tag is different from the cashier.
People are nice here. For some reason this store didn't show up when I used the Google maps ap to search for 'supermarket'. Found it by accident trying to navigate the one way streets for Metro, also close by and shows up on Google maps.
lots of quality food. great sales.Needs low carb soft wraps. Deli is very confusing and hard to find which employee works in which area. I gave up twice standing waiting for someone to come over to help. people are friendly in store and cash. love this store :)))
Great selection, as large as a Real Canadian Superstore.
Good place for purchase on Tuesdays when there is no tax for students. Parking will be free after buying something.
I had the worst experience. From the entrance right to the cash register. The only good service was the gentleman in the bakery.
Very difficult to navigate shopping cart with massive blockades running through the centre aisle in the back. Good selection. Well stocked. Love that it's 24 hours, but be warned it can get pretty hectic in the late hours, especially immediately following the self-checkout cash reset at midnight. Sometimes there's some good deals, but for the most part pretty standard. Make sure to collect your PC Optimum points, they add up quick!
Nice place, PC points are great. Student discounts are 10% and also good on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Very large grocery store with large selection of vegetables, produce, kitchen tools and supplies as well as ware. Large deli, ready made, bakery and pastry sections. Lots of parking and located near other popular plazas with bookstores, restaurants, bars, shopping mall, movie theater, supply depot stores, etc. Well staffed, clean and organized. Well maintained and managed.
As i live nearby, I prefer this Loblaws over the also nearby Metro as i feel quality of their pre-made food is better as well as other perishable products are usually in a better state. You can find slightly cheaper prices elsewhere at times (such as mentioned Metro or often Walmart, but not walking distance). that aside, this Loblaws as are most i been to is a Clean, well maintained building. good product selection and good staff, i come here regularly.
Its clean place to buy food it's the only place left that had a Turkey so it gets my vote
Love this place. It's very clean, neat and well organized. It's a bit pricey though compared to other grocery stores.
Amazing cakes buy all of mine at this location!
Bs dms
Nice store. Sometimes they run out of stuff but for the most part you’ll find what you need.
Huge clean bright store, in a high end neibourhood so expect to pay a little more but it's worth it. Has all you need in one stop shopping.
Very helpful pharmacist. Couldn't figure out what to give my daughter for meds and he helped me find qhat was just right for her.
Sunday nights, poltury and meat special prices.
THE most unfriendly LOBLAWS in Ottawa! No delivery, no public washrooms, no seats near door to wait for rides! WTH? ????
This Loblaws location is huge. It's definitely a "super" market, with a wide variety of grocery items. Prices can run on the high side, as with most things these days.
Great variety of merchandise but quite pricey. Clean and bright.
Good selection and very clean store.
Amazing staff good variety of selection always a good experience while shopping
Nazfia is amazing. Great customer service. Bagged for us and went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience. Thank you so much Nazfia!!!
It’s one of the best supermarket for all the essentials. A one stop shop for every item you need in daily use. Great perk is it being open till late in the night.
Excellent selection of grocery items. Centrally located. Good sized parking lot.
Great place for groceries, pet and home essentials. Like getting the "enjoy tonight" deals. Great location for the downtown core, with free covered parking. I appreciated it during the winter months and those rainy times as well.
Delicious snacks and fresh orange juices
Used Instacart for 21 items. Of the 21 items 8 were out of stock. I've been thought this with this store before. Will only use them when I have to now.
Always clean and well stocked, most of my favorite types of ramen. Good meat selection, always great deals and discounted goods.
Best produce in the city... But you're going to pay for it.
Large selection, fresh vegetables, in store sales are the best
It’s a good grocery shopping store for better than average products. The prices of the regular products are a bit more than food basics or no frills. Other things - it has home department where you could get things for home development. Lot of other average to superior options. For food - they have a food bar at the entrance. I’ve been a loblaws customer. I was not happy with the size of the chicken wings here. The breaded chicken wings are really small as compared to what I’ve had before. The price of wings, drumsticks and 9 chicken pieces is 10 dollars after tax which is really nice but it’s the same in all the loblaws. Would recommend this place if you want a higher than average product. Overall 3/5
Good selection, open 24 hours, free parking while shopping.
Always great deals, good quality
Good for a quick shop
Like most loblaws, lots of choice. Good quality. Kinda price (same as all loblaws) Not a superstore.
Lovely. But they should have more people to help on the self service machines
Cold cuts cut beautifully very thin just like we asked for!
I mean they sell food and the food doesnt kill me so gg
Very clean and properly organized
Very complete grocery store.
Always come here on tuesdays or thursday because of the student discount. Lots of selection in this decently sized store. I would say loblaws is the mid tier supermarket, its not too cheap, but also not too expensive. It's a good average supermarket, but you can find prices cheaper elsewhere. I go here rather than metro because metro sells you small items for so much, it is worth the extra time to go to loblaws. The staff and customer service is great here, never had any problems. There is also free parking if you do buy something.
Very good
Lots of parking, easy access inside. Large selection of products and well marked and easy to find. Butcher shop area is quick to service with a nice selection, as well is the bakery area.
Ooh Great deals especially joe fresh clothing and The make up and jewelry deals ... please keep your eyes on them Clean and tidy place Great fruit and veggies
A smaller Loblaws than others. Offers a 10% student discount on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Underground parking available for free with receipt. The parking lot entrance is off of Nelson. It has wheelchair accessible parking and an elevator. Self check out lanes available. Small pharmacy available and a small Wine Rack. This location also sells beer.
Great seafood and great meat selections. Peter Black and sons, the famous butcher runs the meat dept. excellent location, with parking both upstairs and on the main level. The delicatessen competes head on with whole foods. Great bakery. The veg section is a bit pricey, but so is everyone else in West Van. I love this store.
When I used to live in downtown Ottawa, this was "the" source for groceries. It matters to a diverse cliental, so there is no lack of variety.
The atmosphere is friendly and I especially like their bakery. The line at the cashier's is never too long.
Prices are still way to astronomical for this place
Was not using enough checkout stands and prices were ok.
Nice staff :) Always helpful and I appreciate their hard work during the pandemic especially
I like the fact that they are open 24 hours cause I’m a night person. Also the foods there are fresh and the price is not bad at all.
What a horrible location. Self check out and check out had lines that went down 2 sides of the store. Easily an hour or more to check out like ur in a Soviet bread line! What a joke! 5 cashiers for a packed store! And way over COVID limits.
I go there only for joe fresh and baby stuff
I've been shopping there for years, great location and sometimes get annoyed cashier I get it, but I don't get is most places closing early due to this virus going around but this place is open 24hrs a day. I pray for everyone who is sick for fast recovery
Great grocery store, 20% more than the other lines from Weston's but they have everything, fresh produce, meat, fish, bakery items, as well as all brands for food products
BEWARE, this store WILL NOT price match other PC store flyers. Not even NO NAME line of products. Strange I know. On top that the bathroom I used had a NON WORKING hand drying blower and no paper towels. The clincher, the knob on the bathroom door you turn only indicates the room is occupied, it DOESN'T lock it. To both ladies who opened the door while I was using it, I say sorry. I can promise you it will never happen again since that's the last time I visit this store.
This is our family's choice for groceries back home (Hamilton-area). Have to say we were pretty disappointed by the quality here. The aisles were messy and strewn with boxes. We can rely on quality sushi-to-go at our home store for a quick tasty supper. Here it was the absolute worst quality we've ever experienced with hard undercooked rice. Decent produce section. We didn't check the meat section. Typical prices you would expect of this chain with lower overall quality.
They always have the right stuff I need
Nice and clean grocery store at the Masonville area. Popular for Western students live nearby.
Busy and crowded with lines to the end of the store most days.
The bakery and flower shop is great; aside from that not overly impressed. They have no "express" line so they line everyone (20 plus people) to run them through two tills. Very unfortunate
This store has a great vibe, different layout and clean. Need different cheese they have so many options!
Great shopping experience...customer service was great
I enjoyed doing groceries here, but sometimes their salad section didn't have as much variety as at the RCSS. Nice layout. Huge store. I found it just a tad expensive compared to the RCSS.
Park Royal OVA smaller than the North vancouver-lonsdale Outlet
Prices are higher than usual and it’s paid parking. With other stores ending their 24 hour service, this store has become a good place to go when it’s a weird time. It’s clean, there are nice staff and I feel safe.
Beautiful store, smell of fresh bread in the morning and bathrooms are easy to find
Always clean and the lines move quick.
Clean and tidy. Easy to access and parking
Their lunch specials are very reasonably priced. Five dollars gets you pasta and three pieces of fried chicken. Unfortunately the pasta is a complete mess and it’s nowhere near what macaroni and cheese and should taste like.
The store is very nice and clean. This is not about that. Please, don't buy the lemon chicken tournedos, it's like eating lemon concentrate, not one of us could stomach it. Looked great in the display, cooking is not about taste overload. Whoever is preparing needs a different recipe. Better luck next time
This is my favourite department store. You get to buy just about anything there for grocery and food. A live food section, makes home shopping all the more exciting here. Spread over a huge area, Loblaw’s is a excellent grocery and food shopping experience! They also got liquor selling license recently and now they sell beers and wines too!
Good grocery store, lots of parking space, good sales.
The store is usually well stocked with lots of produce choices. The selection does come at a premium price.
Convenient, excellent chocolate cake!
Hi Doreen
Nice service in the morning but you get the complete opposite after 10pm. Even the security guards are always siting and texting. Not even good choices in organic produce . Loose the pretentious attitude guys ands gals!!!
Good quality, has pharmacy, sells wine/beer/cider, has seasonal garden centre, large Joe Fresh clothing section. Food on pricey side overall, but often great specials.
Almost always visited this location late at night. Never had any problems, and the checkout lines were fast. Tends to be crowded during the afternoon however. Prices might be a bit higher than other stores.
Clean but hard to find help to get things you can't reach and quite pricey.
Laplaws One of my favorite shops found everything great
I always find a great variety of exotics fruits there! Good veg alternative section too.
They don't have any washrooms for customers.
Close to home, relatively well priced, good useful products. Points on PC master card are the best!
Good for buying staples - pasta, rice, flour etc. Would recommend Farm Boy instead for high-quality, local produce that actually has flavour.
They got ok prices look for sales great selections on food items
Very poor customer service! Lori, the associated manager was too disappointing!
Great location if your bussing its at transit hub where many buses stop. Lots parking. Have hot food on the fly with decent prices especially chicken pieces cheaper n better than kfc. They have natural value section if you are health nut. I buy my diabetic pop here Zevia n collagen protein. If you are looking to get bread n buns cheap their clearance section is at back by bakery. Most time perfectly good bread, buns, cakes for 50% off. Always put the blocks latose free cheese on sale. Do keep in mind they can be more expensive than basics or No frills. When they have good sale it is worth it. Heads up you will pay more for produce here. They have a self checkout section as well n curbside pickup and home delivery there is a fee.
Good store. Bright. Ample selection. Just dont go near it on Labour Day when the students at nearby UWO are moving back to town and restocking their pantries. It was chaos!
In the last two months or less I've probably thrown away around $100+ on ground beef I've bought that ended up being spoiled once I opened it at home, even though the date had days it should of been still good for. Same with 10lbs of potatoes. I barely shopped at Loblaws in the past to begin with, and looks like that'll be a reoccurring theme.
It was pleasant quick visit the shelves were nicely stocked and the staff was kind.
Awsome atmosphere! First time and really enjoyed shopping here.
Good once you're in. I find access mediocre even though a parking structure part of it.
Great store you can get food 50% off food if it is close to expiry save tons.
I went in for 2 boxes of cat food. The price was $8.99 on the shelf, but it showed up as $10.29 when I scanned it at the self-checkout. I informed the lady working there about the discrepancy. She went and double checked the price on the …
, and it's good to buy food and I love it,
The prices can be a little high, but the place has amazing produce with a huge selection of items. It's also the cleanest grocery store in London. Crazy how good the place always looks.
I just love their customer service. Very much responsive and helpful. They have a big parking space (Underground) which is a PLUS. I like their Bakery section. It has ample items to pick from. Flyer items are cheap.
Went for a Birthday cake and prices are way to high for cakes in my opinion. Got a Tray of pumpernickel Bread and spinach dip that was really fresh and yummy
I usually like the freshness of their produce and products, yet buying a rotten coconut came as a nasty surprise. I am not that familiar with fresh coconut and how you choose a goid one.I certainly hope they pay more attention to tropical products that are usually costly as well.
Good selection, but the international foods are a bit sparse. Large clothing section and produce is always fresh
This place is clean and well attended but pricy as hell. They have specialty counters that most grocery stores don't, including a fishmonger, cheese counter, and extensive patisserie.
Love that they have indoor parking. Makes it easier.
The lay out is very shopper friendly for you to find products that you are looking for.some staff were very helpful and know exactly where products were others just give you " I'm busy go ask customer service ".
It was a good shopping experience. Produces were fresh. It has inhouse bakery which has a lot of variety. Cooked food takeaways are also available. You can buy other household groceries at this place. It is huge with lots of variety. A one stop shop for groceries.
Is five stars not enough?
Massive store, tons of discounted items to choose from and they usually have everything you want. The parking lot kinda sucks though but the store has all the departments and other stores inside like a fitness centre, Joe and Starbucks.
This is one of my grocery store. I think they have good prices but don't take me word for it check it out.
very expensive, yet nothing in store and bad placement of merchandise
Clean, well stocked, mostly reasonable prices. Good prepared food options. Generally pleasant staff.
Today is Valentine's day and the price of normal bouquet that you could by it in the normal days $20 was $50. This means taking advantage of customers. And then they say, our prices are the lowest prices. They don't think about the families are impacted by Covid-19. One star is a lot for this store. I wish I could rate them 0. PLEASE CHANGE YOUR PLACE FOR SHOPPING.
Best grocery store in town for the selection and quality of goods they have. Their produce is usually in decent condition and their prepared foods are good as well. It's nice that they have sushi as an option. Also a small selection of products from PC owned brands like T&T which is a nice touch.
Although sometime pricy, they always have late night sales that accommodates your cooking during your work week!
Found the cookie scoop and insulated mug. So much to see, lots of selections, flowers, decorations, gift ideas, and of course, groceries! My favourite store.
This grocery store has tons to choose from and is super clean and it's a huge store!! The staff is very friendly and welcoming, too. ????
Liked it. Went late at night after I flew in and it was clean and well stocked. Wandered around and picked up everything I needed for my week. I nice selection of fruits and vegetables and everything was super fresh. Also I really love the President's choice line of products, everything I've tried has been really good, often even better than the standard name brand products.
Great produce! Lasts long after. And cash is quick.
Taking all the necessary precautions. The wait times are long and everyone needs patience. The ladies at the fruit counter are particularly helpful. Kathy is great. The gentleman at the floral area is knowledgeable and gives the clients expert advice. I think his name is Richard. Their smiles at 7 am are kind for someone who is otherwise self isolating
We usually shop at no frills but if we need something specific or more unique for a recipe we come here. They have a huge selection of Asian sauces and spices for different recipes we try. We call it the ‘fancy’ store for a reason though and that’s because of the prices. It can be pricy but when they have those products you can’t usually find in other places it ends up being worth it.
Sometimes I'd dip into Metro to remind myself of my mortality but usually I'd opt not to confront such grim truths and I'd come here for groceries. Great bakery for those kind of things across the street though.
Shelf prices in the produce dept are often difficult to find or non existent. Furthermore, the picnic tables they use at the deli are disgustingly filthy, harbouring potential bacteria. They should clean them more often or use tables more suitable to this situation.
My mother (82 years old) was stopped there and searched after she made her purchases. Of course nothing was found but she missed her bus and had to wait for another (30 min and it is March). She tried to tell them she is going to be late for her bus but the staff ignored it and did not even say 'sorry'. just rude! They pretend to be a decent store but it is unacceptable.
Closest grocery store to my house, but it’s often crowded and selection is average.
I've used the PC Express a few times (generally when I don't have time to do a full shop - like today when I had meetings throughout the day, and a sick child to look after in the evening). I had no complaints. Until today. I was unable to check my email, so I didn't see the email alerting me to a substitution for one of my orders. I ordered a couple of the Iceberg Lettuce Dole salads that were on sale for $1 a bag. Which is the ONLY reason I did it. I get to the store, and yes, the rep told me there was a substitution, and in my naiveté I assumed they would substitute a like product. I got a salad bag that was over $5 (or more than 500%) MORE than the one I ordered. To me, that's shady. Bait and switch nonsense. So, I get home, check the bill, am not impressed with that shady tactic, but realize that I was told there was a switch, and I should have asked if they were trying to screw me, instead of assuming they had my best interests at heart. I open up the produce bag, and of my six apples, two of them are rotten. I'm talking bruises all around, and one has a huge gash out of it, and it's clearly brown. Now, with a sick kid at home, I don't have time to go back to the store tonight for whatever the apples cost (a couple of bucks at most) but I won't be using this service again. I probably won't go to Loblaws again, once I use my points up to be honest. What a disappointment.
Open 24 hours and who could ask more? Fresh produce baked goods friendly customer service you get what you want at Loblaws and with the 24hr service you get it 24hrs a day...that's handy on check night right close to the bank
Wonderful store. From pharmacy, to groceries and clothes. You can find everything you need. A little more on the expensive side but good quality and long queuing times.
Exceptional quality service from this place
Good selection, knowledgeable staff, open 24 hours - but can be brutally busy sometimes.
Nice grocery store. It is on the smaller size for a loblaws so some products aren't available at this location e.g. Joe fresh, most kitchenware. It offers a 10% discount to students on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which is great for the local student population, but for non students you may want to avoid it on those days due to the long lines at the checkout.
Place is awesome but the cash register when you're standing and looking around you could see that the screen monitor, gum rack and chocolate bar rack are very very dusty and I'm sure they could take a second or two to clean it up because if I'm buying my produce from there I wonder how their back is
Tuesday/ Thursday Student discount ! Great selection of produce and fast take out/ hot food !
Fresh grocery items, clean and tidy store. Suitable for daily shopping.
Nice store with almost everything fresh , very clean and polite staffs
Very clean and organized. This location doesn’t get too busy and the staff is always helpful and friendly. My favourite grocery store in the area. The produce is always fresh and never disappointing. The different varieties of food make it a one stop shop for my groceries.
Clean, great selection,fast checkouts
Friendly staff, great prices and a wide variety of produce to choose from.
Nice place for groceries with a lot of options to choose from! 1 star minus for poor collection of Fishes & frozen foods!
Great location and selection, but expect to wait in line for a bit during peak hours. Especially on Tuesdays and Thursdays because of the student discount, I don't quite understand why they don't open every checkout on those days.
Wish it was still 24 hours boo!!!
Went there to get eggs and Beer when I went to check out at the self checkout the machine needed to verify age no problem rep.comes over and basically tells me to get away social distancing she was just standing beside a couple helping them right beside them I stepped back and gave her my Id she then proceeded to scan out all my beer with them same gloves she was helping the other couple with once scanned all the beer she pointed at my Id and walked away I still had a few more items so I started scanning them out paid and noticed she had put one of the beers she scanned out on the counter not in the bag just bad service overall
Nice produce , great selection of meats and cheeses
My favourite place to shop. Nice staff, well stocked, and the produce is always fresh and delicious. They even have free fruit for kids to munch on while you shop.
Have improved in every way. Staff is delightful!
A good selection, deli, wine, and prepared food.
EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE - THEY REALLY DO CARE! They went above and beyond. I was a click & collect customer and a bag was forgotten, a lovely customer service representative hand delivered it to my house. I cannot express my thanks!!! Did I mention I live in Stittsville!!!
Very expensive. Line ups are too long at tills, there seems to always be a long wait for the bakery staff to serve you.
Overall pretty decent store, buy a lot of our groceries from the Park Royal location. My only complaint would be that some days during lunch time, there are not enough staff to serve in the Deli and Ready Meals section. I've had to wait for a while until someone would be available to help, and by then my half-hour lunch break is almost over! That's my only feedback and I hope more friendly staff become available during busy hours. By the way, their sushi is very fresh and always good!
Quite frustrating that they don’t have enough fruit/ vegetable selection. Overall the market is quite clean
Organized layout and customer flow throughout the pandemic. Large bakery & seafood sections. Normally find the milkshakes I put in my cinnamon toast crunch on sale.
Not very busy around 8pm, so it was easy to get items and leave quickly to catch bus. Main item I wanted Mens Gloves they didn't have.Good selection of artisanal craft beers and overall products are of good quality.
The cashier was very slow and unpleasant. The location is great and its a beautifully designed store.
An employee working at pc optimum near the exit was obviously very intoxicated, extremely unprofessional. This location is fairly ok, for the most part they hold themselves accountable for their errors, except the customer service / tobacco shop.
Lots of variety. Set up to avoid contact during COVID-19. Nice managers. Friendly cashiers. Delivery. Can collect Optimum Points to get free groceries. For 10,000 points you get 10$ worth of food. 20,000 points=20$ and so on.
It is a good store in not the best district of Ottawa. There is a good selection of vegitables and cheese.
This is an extremely large location, with much stock and a wide variety of items to choose from. Very good deals. Only downside is the location and the many pan handlers surrounding it.
Close to home, has better prices than save on foods and a London drugs plus liquor store next door.
Great store, good selection
Happy to share details about this one. And I am not about discrimination I believe in giving everyone a chance but there is an older bigger fellow responsible for getting carts and Gathering baskets. When he left the area his stench remained. I am absolutely appalled that this man is touching every grocery cart
Good price and good quality. The crews nice and helpful.
Very good shopping experience, clean, never too busy, good variety, good music :-) However, prices are higher than at other Loblaws stores.
Very organised store.
Well, four stars because are the only market that carry yerba to drink with the cup i took from my country, Uruguay. Except for the expensive products, the place and what they have are good. I should go to buy some yerba today
This store has come a long way with its last renovations making shopping easy and fun. The produce, deli, bakery, meat and cheese selections are the best in north London. Always fresh and interesting items. My go to store for entertaining, unless I brave the traffic and head to Angelo's and Farm Boy further south off of Wonderland. The staff here are usually very friendly knowledgeable.
Worth it if just to ride the big conveyor belt into the store. Aisles are clean, easy to navigate, usually decent prices.
Good reliable and pretty comprehensive
Awesome store even, though it's on Rideau it's very clean and has a beer aisle now as well.
Beautifully laid out store, excellent quality produce.
Overpriced and poorly organized store. This store also needs a management that is more fun and boosts morale.
Very busy since Metro closed. Great value but you have to search.
Big variety of food, good prices. Friendly staff, well organized.
Great value, excellent locally made bread and convenient parking. Open 24 hours, which is a major plus.
This is a great place if you are a student. Being open 24h is awesome for night owls
Open 24 hrs. Cashes close during the night for systems updates usually around 11pm or close to 12am, for a few minutes. Lots of variety. Clean. Does run on the more expensive end, though prices are relatively good. Can have good deals, so keep your eyes open for those. Washrooms - only two with Changing table ((Well used due to the amount of visitors/customers frequenting the store.)) Self checkout. Can buy beer here but they do stop selling it, at a certain time. Remember: bring your *Optimum points card* with you. It's important if you want to get those points. They are added when card is scanned at the check out BEFORE* payment. Missed points can NOT* be added later not even by calling in. Due to the store having their own private instore points which can only be added in that store during the time of purchase and before payment...I've already experienced this and have lost points due to not having my card with me. Points add up fast. 20,000 pts = $20.00
Really decent deals here! I think it's worth a glance inside if you are in the area! There are usually a homeless presence outside so caution on that.
Just came in while the girls used the bathroom.
It's closer to my home, the produce is nice and fresh but yet little too pricy!!
Found some unique products there while shopping.
very beautiful flowers and lots to choose from
Best selection of frozen food anywhere in the region. Absolutely great prices
Nice to see more lanes open
Long lines and not enough lanes open every time I go! The produce selection is quite poor and items are always rotten, they need to order less and maintain proper freshness! Staff is incompetent also which doesn't help! Only benefit is that its open 24 HOURS!
Friendly staff and fresh food. 50% off and on Sale are best
The prices are much higher than Superstore although they are at the same branch.
Rude staff, extremely overpriced store!
Our shopping was very good except for a worker behind the meat counter with his mask around his chin.
Not a bad store Limited stock at some departments Good customer service, better than the other Loblaws stores around here
Great location, and parking. Wish they were open later.
The most catching feature or facility is the self checkout and pc optimum points.
Open 24 hours even on some holidays! With a very wide variety of produce and wide selection of organic products this is now my main place to shop for groceries! The flowers are nice a decently priced as well!
The only grocery store at the mall and very very expensive. Also has a weird lay-out, couldn't find the cheese at first. Good items on sale though!
I loved this supermarket !!????????
Loblaws is more trustworthy than Atlantic superstore
The specials are very good. I not a big fan of their baked goods. The staff are friendly especially Rob who works at the seafood station.
Fresh groceries + kind staff = high prices. However, I don't see many places around that have a dedicated cheese, bakery, deli, fish and meat departments in one store. I go here every week, with a student discount it's worth the trip.
Never properly stock on advertised sale items. Had to go ask a meat dept worker about their chicken on sale and was told they never got any in. He then asked if I was even right about the price to which I showed him the actual advertised price in the flyer. Couldn't have cared less.
Great choice and fresh orange juice
Excellent customer service, whether it be at the self-checkout, cashiers or grocery pick-up. Found everything I needed for my holiday baking and cooking.
It’s closed! Why do you say it’s open till 9?
Fresh produce, love it!!! ????
Highly recommend best produce in town
Better than Superstore
I was able to find everything I needed. I love how bright and cheery the store is. Even with the usual lines I was in and out quickly.
Very well stocked and friendly staff
Amazing, clean, and well staffed! What a great atmosphere, matched with great products!
The organics section of this store is great. I find most everything I am looking for. As well, they have frequent sales so if I time it right, I am also saving money!
It's a supermarket. A little more expensive than others, but slightly better quality. They do more "exotic" foods than other places, specifically featuring a large variety of cheeses.
Kind of an odd layout, and they could really use some more cashiers.
It looks is nice since those renovations. Kind of expensive though. Definitely a above average quality grocery store.
Huge grocery store. Lot of varieties, it’s all that I need. There are discounts for students on Thursday and Thursday.
Nice big store with lots of choices!
I like it. I can find whatever I need
Fun grocery store but prices are up there
It's a nice store. Very friendly staff to help you.
Very blaw thats why they call it loBLAWs
The interior of the store was awesome! Very clean and well laid out. Food selection was very good and had everything that we needed. When going to an expensive grocery store you should expect it to be nice, and this one is.
I loved all the options they offer
Produce is top notch , deli meats and cheeses are all fresh and constantly rotated. Cant think of another store that has the high standards as THIS LOCATION has.
This is a review for both the store itself and the PC Express experience. My husband and I are frequent shoppers at the Loblaws on Rideau and Nelson. We are also PC Express subscribers. We cannot rave enough about how amazing the service at this location is for us and probably all PC Express users and subscribers. We are met with a smile and the best customer service each and every single time. We see the same familiar faces when we pick up our groceries at the PC Express/customer service counter. We know each other by name and remember our conversations from the last week. It feels like we are seeing friends. My husband and I honestly look forward to our grocery shop visit every week. It is incredibly easy to do our groceries. We usually we pick our groceries using the app while laying down in bed - it can’t get any easier than this. We put a note on our order mentioning that we’d like the student discount to be applied and without fail they never forget to. Usually on the student discount days, a lot of products are out of stocks for the best are already picked. Since we shop with PC Express, our groceries are picked in the morning either from the back or first thing off the floor and we get the best stuff. You don’t have to worry about quality - they make sure to get you the best stuff. Also, if something happen to be out of stock, they offer a substitute for the same price, even if the new item costs more. They will even call you to confirm. This is some incredible attention to detail and customer care. By the way, did I mention we always receive treats and sometime gifts for being loyal customers at the Rideau store? Just another added bonus! We highly recommend this location and this service.
Everything here is top notch!!
Always do my groceries here during the student discount days. Great sales! PC points have great rewards
Good selection and clean store. Very few cashier's on shift making for long lines to exit
The feel and environment was probably the best amongst all the superstores; prices were comparatively high tho
I’m visiting & shopping from West Vancouver branch. Their products are fresh with the good price. Great staff ????
Big store. Huge selection. Well stocked.
Great groceries store. Prices of products are pretty reasonable. Guess what? They sell beer in store. I came from Alberta where liquor stores are separate from the grocery stores. Here in Ottawa it is like in the States. Friendly and courteous staff.
Very clean, a lil over whelming at first but knowledgeable staff was able to down the right path..
It's a Canadian grocery store, it has PC and NoName products. It's like if Sobeys and No Frills had a baby
Please, please, please start carrying PC Coffee flavored ice cream again. It's better than Haagen-Dazs. #galenforprimeminister
Great Staff, passionate about food, Lob laws ;)
Bad produce selection, meats are very expensive for expiring the next day. The "beer section" is a measly two shelves of cans in no particular order.
I guess it can be expected of a downtown location but I have never seen so many maskless people shopping. There are no arrows on the ground to indicate which aisles go which way in the produce department. The security staff themselves are always lounging talking to each other and I've seen one taller guy in particular with his nose out of his mask. Step your games up, guys.
The lineup can be long but they are quick
Make sure to upgrade your phone here to score huge optimum points!!!
Must visit :) #like if u agree
Like this one. Wish we had a Loblaws in Victoria BC
The store is great. Lots of variety. However, staff (some) is direct & rude. Not customer service focused but self-interested oriented. Disappointing because its a nice store
Great for students to shop here. Get discount on Tues and Thurs. Both days will be very busy, so if you're not a student, or doing a big grocery--i suggest not to visit the Store during these days. Tips: 1. Check the section that is accross the Deli bar. They have great stuff on sale there. 2. Use PC Optimum Card to load offers, and shop accordingly. You'll be surprised how quickly you collect enough points to shop for groceries. 3. Use self checkout. Initially, you'll find a bit inconvenient, but you'll learn it quick, and it will save you time in the future. Plus, it's fun to use. 4. The PC brand doesn't necessarily means savings, compare its prices with other known brands... sometimes, the PC brand is expensive than the regular known brands.
Superb food display,, variety and grocery shopping experience. Pricing is above average to high but so is quality. There are deals but a Shopper would almost have to research flyers use Optimum points and Presidents Choice to create value.
Loblaws has everything you need. Great place to shop.
I forgotten again, scan much PC Optimum tag❗ That's the sole reason I shop @ places where there are bargains like that. Each of my visit & purchase means something.
Pretty good grocery store for a downtown location they are usually pretty busy but keep things moving and staff are friendly and helpful. The only small issue I've found is the produce isn't always fresh Mainly the organic and less popular items. Most of it is good though.
Nice store, big and bright the way I like it. Great produce , fair meat department, and now beer.
I'm new to the area of park royal shopping mall and am enjoying shopping at this location. I like the deli and pre-cooked selection. When you are on the go they have a great selection. I found scrambled eggs, hash browns and bacon available for my breakfast in their "ready to go menu". Good portions and my photo shows the half eaten amount which is "Bonus points" from me for this being available. Friendly staff at the checkouts
A complete selection of products
Other than how expensive it is, it's super clean, organized and the people that work there are extremely kind.
Terrible service for the food service department. I usually order chicken sandwich meal with my friend here. Excited at first, then they suggest chicken tenders instead because they didnt have any chicken burgers. The employee tried to make a sandwich out of it, and were like “no were not getting this”. Employee then said, “3 minutes and its good to go if you want to wait”. Told them no rush. So we waited. Paid, happily ate our meal until, half way through we noticed our chicken was not cooked! Im not only concerned about myself getting salmonella, but other customers as well that would like to enjoy a meal. We threw away our meals. We got our refund. They lost a customer and more after this read.
Prices are better than Maxi in Gatineau. So I usually do my groceries there.
Very clean. Amazing bakery. Lots of checkouts are open and they even bag your groceries for you!!
Very nice store with amazing eat-in deli.
Good place for all grocery needs. Though i prefer this store for the organic and herbal medicine section.
Always good! You can find 99% of whatever you want here. I wish they had a better spot for discounted items.
Loblaws is the only grocery store we used for decades; we've enjoyed some of their house brands, especially the ice creams. We've only once in thirty years had a minor problem with the food we bought. It has occasional supply problems, though -- out of things for days or even weeks -- and we've lately realized it's more expensive than some other sources.
Nice selection of fresh foods! Free fruit for kids while you're shopping. Sells beer & wine
I mean yeah it's a grocery store.
The groceries are fresh and there's good enough selection, but there isn't much for more exotic foods. They even have a place where they make quick dinners for a very affordable price. Definitely recommend signing up for their rewards points, they sure come in handy!
Great place to shop
Store looks great very nice. I was in for the Joe Fresh collection. Very good selection and friendly staff very helpful.
The shelves are reasonably well stocked most of the time. If you don't like crazy busy and big crowds I suggest you choose another day of the week than Tuesdays to do your shopping. During the school year the Fanshawe and Richmond St store is packed with university students doing their shopping in addition to some regular customers.
overpriced. Good ready food selection.
This place is more expensive than pusateri's. Everything I wanted to buy was at least one or two dollars more than you can purchase it for anywhere else. I'm Amazed
They have just about everything and anything you would want. Prices are better I find as apposed to metro.
Shop is nice but prices higher than other Loblaws
Solid selection, and the student discount is great. 24h open is also handy too.
Not bad
Although click and collect has its quirks, it's a great time saving service. The dude that usually brings out our bags is super nice and gives treats to my kids, which they love. Thanks!
Nice clean store. Food always looks nice and fresh.
The fried chicken was very yummy.
Loblaws seams out of place for North/West Vancouver given it’s reasonable prices and stacks of generic brand groceries. As a lunch spot, the selection is great with not many misses, but I do suggest avoiding the mac n cheese at the canteen. The cafe has great affordable options including fresh hot chocolate. The bakery is terrific - while the desserts can taste a bit generic, the selection of fresh breads is fabulous.
Good selection, but higher prices than other grocery stores
Pretty messy. Still no washroom after a few months now. Looks like a grocery store that was set up to be premium but quickly became a heroin den.
10% off total bill for students every Tuesday & Thursday. Excellent selection & value. Lots of sale & markdown items daily. Pharmacy, deli, bakery, fish market & hot counter on site. Free underground parking with validation from cashier upon checkout.
Huge store, 24 hours, free underground parking (with validated ticket)
Loblaws is an excellent store to shop at if you're looking for good quality fruits, veggies, meats, breads ect. Essentially anything that is " fresh" , they have high standards for. The only downfall to that is having to pay a little more for the quality you would expect to find here. We also enjoy finding the great deals they have on the " Joe fresh" clothing line. We are often able to find many outfits for our kids for a fraction of the cost of boutique stores. I also enjoy the fact that they have a " basket" of fruit that children ( under 10) can pick something from for free. This promotes healthy eating and definetly helps tone down the " I'm hungry, can we get this" . Another great thing is there are a lot of cash registers open, so there is hardly ever a line, except for holidays. They also offer a self checkout area with several kiosks. I can't comment on the selection of the wine and beer area as we don't drink, however, I think it's great that they have a knowledgeable staff member there to help people make selections and give good recommendations. Overall Loblaws is definetly a favorite store for quality fresh foods, and reasonably priced clothing and outerwear.
This place could benefit from better deals. We only come to this store out of necessity. Do not like the music played while shopping.
Friendly staff. Ample parking.
Fair price for good quality products, they have exclusive products. Worth the time and money
Great selection
Good selection , expensive , closed early
The one thing that brings me back to this chain over and over again is their spotless and organized stores. Staff is always welcoming and helpful.
Store was clean and well organized. Much better then any Loblaws I've been in, in a long time. Cashier was friendly and helpful. Will be returning.
This place is amazing! I was on my way home from a medical trip and needed to stop to grab some food and this place had everything! I highly recommend this place if you need to stop for some grub or groceries.
Always very busy but it has the fastest and best quality service, and all the staff are always friendly and helpful.
Loblaws has only one flaw and that is the prices compared to it's competition. The ready food is mostly over priced with the rotisserie chickens being 12$ instead of 7 or 8 at other grocers. Expect to pay more for fruits and vegetables here compared to Food Basics and the quality is similar.
Clean store and good quality meat and groceries.
Now that they tore down metro ,I'm forced to shop here ,not to bad ,but always will prefer metro.
When it's open and running properly they have 8 soups and so many food options it's almost a food court all in one... 4 slices of watermelon was a good after lunch option for $1.13 ????????????
There is student discount on a Tuesday and Thursday as long as you bring your PC optimum card with your student ID. Large store with almost everything you need. There is no clear section for gluten free food in the refrigerator / freezer areas. But there is a variety of gluten free snacks and cookies in the lifestyle/ health foods section.
Do NOT shop there unless you like worms in your meat!!!! Dirty, dirty place!!
Definitely the best grocery store in the area. Selection is good and prices are fair considering its location and the fact that it's 24/7. Only downside is their beer selection is the worst I've seen and unrefrigerated, hopefully it improves.
I bought a bottle of Vitamin E tonight. When I got back home, the paper seal at the top of the bottle under the cover was already punctured. Last year, I bought bread and when I got back home, I opened it and it was moldy. I saw a small tag saying that it expired a week back so basically, they sold me a 7-day expired bread.
Terrible service at the deli counter. Many times have asked for chicken tenders only to be given the smallest pieces they can find. Have left the counter without purchase because of their no care attitude toward customer service and satisfaction. The salad counter leaves a lot to be desired. More often than not they neglect to make up the Romaine Salad, which is our favorite. When they do it is of very limited supply, or they are too big for our needs. They really need to increase the supply for this particular salad. They also seem to be out of the Balsamic Vinegar dressings 9 times out of 10. Why is there such a shortage? Just order more!!!! Still one of my favorite grocery stores but they need to really improve in these areas.
One of my favourite grocery store. Spacious, bright, reasonable prices, well selected products.
Good-sized store, with beer sales in store and a Wine Rack. Has a large prepared/hot meal section with a good variety.
Great place for grocery shopping or picking up a quick meal. Quality of prepped food is excellent. Wide variety of food, fresh or packaged, for everyone.
Pretty good grocery store with terrible produce. Aside from the sizeable deli and bakery, and a few speciality products on the shelves, this really is a Superstore. That’s good it you want PC products at low prices. But it’s not good if you want top-shelf produce, meat, etc.
A good place to shop for whatever you are looking for food wise!
Great shopping centre but priced high. This is to be expected, given the location. Awesome staff!!
Usually have what I go there for and if not always a good alternative.
They always have the heat on too high
The location is a gem. Friendly #customerservice
This is a high end grocery store that is very clean and beautiful inside. Produce can be expensive. However, when they have sales, you can get groceries very cheap. The employees are very friendly and helpful if you ever need help finding anything.
Great customer service and lots on sale
This store is beautiful. I live in the south end and usually shop at the loblaws down there, I stopped in here as I was in the north end and I was blown away. The quality and cleanliness of the store was way beyond my expectations (especially since I usually go to the south one) and the staff were friendly, lots of lanes open and it smelled very good!
Hard to bid selection abd service
What was once my favourite grocery store has been disappointing more and more each time I go. Staff are often in the way doing the shopping for online orders, they rarely have enough check out lanes open, and often food selection is minimal and fresh produce and meat that is available expires in a day or two. What was once a weekly visit, I now only go when I need to.
Usually has what I'm looking for, but I think, maybe the inventory clerk needs to do more, or they need to order more stock of certain items. The hot foods are usually pretty decent, the warming table is set too high though, burned my hands on a box and the box was turning brown from the heat lamps. The Bakery is pretty good, usually a selection of cake slices on display. Meat selection is decent, quality is decent. Deli is lacking some items I personally enjoy, but has most cold cuts.
I just both shopping at LA blaz convenient
Full of masked university students who apparently aren't so smart if they're willing to overpay for basic food items. Or maybe they just have rich oversea parents...
Constantly correcting for actual sale price, I have been asked to leave the line up to go get the price tag more than 3 separate visits!! Unhappy employees have been rude to me many times. Even the old manager had deliberately rude when I came to return a spoiled product. Awful. Last week they literally sold out of ALL the bananas... ( last year they sold out of effing white bread.) AWFUL!
Huge supermarket. They almost have everything what is about food.
Great place. You can find unique ingredients easily
A very big store with ample variety of a lot of things, which is what you would expect when going to a super market. The entrance feels kind of weird at first, but after crossing the door it feels like every other Loblaws store.
Very clean, fresh fruits and vegetables, they have a delicious fruit tart
Huge variety, very clean fair prices.
One of the best Loblaws in London, the bakery section is the best products, but a little expensive, better flavour and quality compared with the others same company bakery
It's a Loblaws, a really LARGE Loblaws. Unfortunately, we were on the hunt for flank steaks and they did not have any. However, the butcher said to call in the morning as their meat shipments come in on Fridays, and lo and behold, they had some. We have one Loblaws store in my city in western Canada (back after a 40 year hiatus) and I'm happier for it. Their specialty islands (bakery, fresh cut veggie / fruits, patisserie, butcher shop, are all attractively set up. Yes, it's a big grocery chain but they seem to really make the effort to make a mundane grocery shopping experience more fun.
It turns out that if you go to this place and give them some money, they totally take care of collecting all the food you need to stay alive! No more foraging for roots and berries! No more running from Old McDonald when you steal Bessie's milk! Five stars. Can't endorse highly enough.
Super place to do your groceries. They have a very good selection of items. Cool option of bying beer and a wine rack with in the store. Super place
What grocery shopping should be. Whole Foods quality, variety, and freshness, at Super Store prices.
The customer service was amazing, especially in the deli and seafood. Most courteous and helpful staff I've ever dealt with. I didn't want to leave the store. Will definitely be back.
This location for Loblaws has an extra large organics section that is about 3x the size of a usual Loblaws. Parking is immense and in a good plaza that allows shoppers to make multiple purchases together. The aisles are large, clean and …
Great rules perfectly following covid rules
Always the best cleanest most variety, stocked shelves all the time. Best Loblaws in the city by far.
You feel really at ease finding everyday this and that here in short time...
Surprisingly accessible and quite large. Indoor parking validated by cashier in store to make it free. Excellent product placement, clean, organized store, very helpful staff. Very good experience.
I go there twice a week, has almost everything I need. Cashiers are often not enough, long waiting lines. Reward program (PC) is awesome, I have probably redeemed more than 1000$ in total already.
Good selection but more expensive than other supermarkets.
Replaced Extra Foods @ South Park Royal. New Loblaws City Market include full service including deli, cheese, hot-food, salad, sandwiches, pastry counters. Plus the regular grocery section. Look spacious, bright, clean, organised.
My first time in Loblaws in years! It's more like an upscale market than a grocery store! The fresh produce is displayed beautifully and is the nicest quality. The bakery department and fresh counters are market style. The wide aisles were so open, no feeling of claustrophobia. Prices are more expensive than my usual store, but the experience was worth every penny. Maggie was a upbeat and energetic as she rang in my purchases.
Nice clean place and fresh vegetables
Great shop for groceries. Good prices and good service
Nice staff and was easy to find what i was looking for
Great store!!!
Very Good. lots of young teens working there
Large store. Great service from online curbside pickup. Fast and accurate.
It's my favorite place to go and do shopping. It's clean and it has fresh fruits and cooked food . My favorite part is its hot chicken with Vegi fried potatoes. You can't imagine how it's delicious and fresh. There is very good choice to buy bread, meat and pastry. Let's go and try hot chicken ...for just 5$.
More expensive than No Frills, but you will have a better shopping experience: the lighting is bright, more selection of everything. I love the Joe Fresh clothes they carry, fabulous.
Great sales on many items
Because of one of the security police's he looked at people who didn't do anything so bad and they are talking with people so rude. They follow me where i go Entire my shoping thats why i don't want to go to city market anymore.
It's Saturday this means all cashier on duty.
Worth your time and money.
Nice layout with an abundance of items like clothing from the Joe Fresh section and everything you could need or want in the Grocery & Produce ( which is very fresh ) sections. Just don't ask them to retrieve your receipt for you if they've …
Amazing store. We get everything we need from here.
Great place as always check for 50 % off salads
Best place to buy a sixer of Molson when your drunk and need more
Large selection of great products and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Baked goods are hot and delicious and their hot wedge fries are some of the best and a great time saver if you're stuck for something for dinner add a fresh cooked chicken and a fresh salad or two and Bob's your uncle.
I really like doing my groceries here. Good prices and open 24h ! Also, free parking up to 3h
Its ok service, getting the female servers of the hot bar to wash their hands is impossible , the men that work there are amazing always go above and beyond for the customers, it takes 5 seconds to wash your hands, changing your gloves does not stop the spread of germs and viruses you goof wash your hands before serving the next customer, manager is not doing anything about the hygiene there
I've lived in 3 provinces and been to a lot of grocery stores. This store is easily in the top 3 for the best I've visited. Wish there were more Loblaw's like this.
Very packed with very rude customers and no real markings on the floor to denote which way to walk for the small aisles so be prepared to be cut off often, also pricy
Has become a main shopping gigs just for the fact it's the closest...Other than that and discount bakery bin corner it sucks in every other way...the absolute VERY BEST feature that always put it at the top shop was 24 hours shopping..3am is the best time for grocery shopping...I so miss it and dread it will never teturn
Offers a wide variety of specialized and international grocery options as well as all basic necessities a grocery store needs. Only problem is the prices are a little high compared to other grocery stores.
Great quality but very expensive, even compared to other quality stores.
Decent, good staff! Reasonable prices and the PC plus helps out in pretty good time if you buy PC and check your coupons on the app, I shop here regularly but am aware of prices and sometimes his Safeway or Save On depending on the week.
Clean and bright, well stocked, 24 hour supermarket. Wine shop past the cashiers is open shorter hours
Confusing layout. It takes a while to find stuff here. The checkout is pretty fast but man during rush hours it's hell. A lot of the times I visit I find the vegetables or fruit I want are missing or the snacks I want are out of stock. It's really frustrating as I find this Loblaws to be so hit or miss that I kind of avoid it at all costs.
Always nice
Nice store with fresh vegetables and fruits. Large product selection, including bio products.
Surprised they don't price match considering they are part of the PC Family. And alot of their bakery or fresh food that would expire that day or the next day were still at full pricing.
Great place , staff is so professional
A WALL OF CHEESE and desserts that would make a sugar hating kale lover eat with abandon 000 the Jamocha Almond Fudge cake is to die for! Higher prices but it is, well, Masonville.
Very large store with huge selection. I'm pretty sure you can find any groceries you could possibly want there. The lines can take a while, but that's a symptom of any good grocery store!
I absolutely love shopping at loblaws. The aisles are clean and wide the store is bright and well lit and the customer service is fantastic. I love shopping produce here as I find it is the freshest produce I can find in town. Lastly, i shop at there PC express it definitely makes my shopping a breeze.
Good collection of items. Can find many things which were noy available in metro
Never crowded and it's comfortable walking in the aisles of this store. I can usually find what I'm looking for I'm this store, although a bit on the expensive side. The potted herbs here are more fresh than other grocery stores in town!
Good quality but more expensive that other similar stores.
Pretty standard as far as Loblaws goes. This store is located in close proximity to us, and is pretty well our go to grocery store.
Very good selection, helpful staff. And PC products... I recommend it!
Nice store but some items are expensive relatively
Loblaws is a very big store and very clean. You can pretty much find anything you need here in this store.
Out of all the lowblas I've been to this one has got to be the diamond standard. The presentation and atmosphere in the store is above and beyond anything that I've seen in a chain grocers. The staff seem to keep the location in prestine condition. The shelves are not stocked but are also kept faced at a level that you can tell the staff cares. As for the prices. Normally I'm used to Lowbla banner being the more expensive of the lowblas company but this location keeps all the prices competitive to the point where I make the 15 minute bus instead of just shopping at the one across the street
Nice store, always clean, stuff are nice. I think it might be independently owned because they don't have the same sale prices as the flyer or location on Wonderland
I really like it. I like to buy coffee and cookie. It's cheap and good. There are milk, cream, sugar everthing to prepair your coffee very well.
Decent prices, for some stuff... Lots of overpriced goods that are too expensive for a student to afford. 10% discount on Tuesdays and some really good deals on poultry sometimes.
Park royals new supermarket.. great prices, meat section is awesome with really good quality products.. interesting enough there is wholefoods across the street carrying same products but 8x the price
Big store with a lot of variety. Yes it's pricy but somethings are cheaper than no frills and the design is more elegant.
They started doing update the system and 12:00 a.m. And it was a delay at the cashier. Couldn't it be gone later?
CityMarket - Park Royal is an expansive supermarket with a comprehensive array of global food products, and their team is always very helpful and friendly. It is definitely at the top of one's go-to choices in the Park Royal/Ambleside area of West Van for for a bright, modern and convenient food shopping destination. Check out the posted pictures, but they definitely don't do it full justice. Visit today to see for yourself. You'll be more than happy you did!
Called customer service twice on separate days, first girl was nice, second was very rude and hanged up on me because she was busy.. I've called every loblaws in Ottawa looking for a phone, everyone is out of stock but this was by far the worst customer service I've experienced.
I can give my opinion on that great coffee shop. I love I can get real delicious Lavazza coffee, all the sizes and type. You can also get the good beans there. 100% recommended!
Big box store feel...they have sushi bar, Starbucks, hot food chicken, fries, macaroni, scalloped potatoes, pressure cooked chicken, tenders, wedges, pizza slabs, panini sandwiches...they sell alcohol, beer and wine...all around good experience
Always friendly staff, quality products and great prices, especially the sales! Never had an issue that was not resolved immediately and with amazing service, and self checkout is a fast and easy way to purchase. With a grocery list of ten or more items it only takes me 10-15 minutes before I'm finished and leaving, except for rush hour dinner time when it takes a few extra minutes due to customer overload, and even then the service is fairly quick. Overall a very positive shopping experience and a regular stop for our groceries and some clothing needs!
Great deals and they always have tons of what I'm looking for. The food they have hot and ready to go is perfect for quick meals as well
Expensive and crowded on a Friday night
Would give 5 stars if they would hire someone like Fatuma for weekend mornings to run the coffee shop! We made it our regular coffee stop in the mornings because of Fatuma! SHE is awesome...BUT..... The weekend mornings service at coffee shop needs ATTENTION..the server simply refuses to LISTEN to what we want!
If you need to oder a cake, Carolyne in Bakery is very helpful and her service is excellent. The cake was perfect for our event.
Really nice store. Lots of stock and full shelves. I particularly loved the "home" section....
It's pretty clean for it being downtown. Just like every other Loblaws
They have a very nice bakery, deli and cake shop at this location. Produce is good, clean store and good selection of products.
If you are looking for quality, afforded price and peace of mind, Loblaws is the best choice.
Grocery shopping at 3am!! No one blocking the aisles, no waiting at checkout. Loblaws is the best.
I can't EVER buy fresh produce there. Their lettuce in particular is extremely wilted, never crisp. But the store is huge and offers everything else you need.
Can be more organized … it is difficult to find what you need even they have plenty options.. staff are helpful and attentive..
Super clean and well organized. Friendly staff and excellent choices.
Too pricey, too massive, as not enough maps/signage Yes they have some hard to find products, but I only shop there selectively
The muffins are amazing. Go early as they run out of the good stuff pretty quick
Lovely store with great produce, seafood and meat. Prices are a little higher on some things but the store is a pleasure to shop in.
Could use more clear signage about how to exit the store.
Friendly staff and Norberto is above and beyond super helpful
Slightly expensive but very good grocery and fresh meat/ vegetables
This place is a little crazy, there was someone stealing beer when we were there. Store is surprisingly clean though and the underground parking is great.
I like it and I especially like the round cheese breads in the bulk breads section. a seating area. some good stuff. odd staff
Thank you for giving your hard working staff a well deserved day off on a holiday. For those confused by this annual practice, try the convenience store right across the street for basics. Or better yet, support almost any ethnic restaurant likely to be open today.
One of the best grocery stores around for things like former and goat cheeses. You can find things here for good lovers home cooking
Great atmosphere and a wide variety of items. If you need a rare ingredient in a recipe, chances are they have it. Only downside comes with the price you pay for most things. Definetly not the cheapest option when it comes to groceries. The 10% off on Tuesday for Western Students is a plus though.
Woman serving at fish counter was very brusque and uninformed about the fish. She initially said the counter was not open. Then she said fish was only delivered Saturday's. Then that fish would be delivered today. Then that the fish had been delivered. By this time we didn't trust anything she said. Last time we buy fish there.
I would say this is the nicer of the two Loblaws in Kingston. They always seem to have what I am looking for in stock, and the store is always clean and organized. I will stop here for groceries even though I live in the West end.
Liked the store because it was almost empty when i visited in crowded and busy Vancouver . Store has same quality and products you would expect at other loblaws stores
Pricey!
Clean and bright store with friendly staff, but specials are consistently under stocked.
Produce is questionable, recently purchased mandarins and were mouldy. Last month, milk container was not sealed.
This is a decent Loblaws location. It is smaller than other locations in town, but has everything you'd need from a basic grocery store. If you're not a student, avoid this location on Tuesdays and Thursdays when they offer a student discount and the location get flooded with students. If you're a student, obviously follow the opposite advice and try to go on these days for the discount. There is underground parking which is free if you're shopping at Loblaws. Remember to get your ticket validated at checkout. Though, when I forget I just show them my Loblaws receipt and they let me out.
The only thing going for this Loblaws is its 24-hour access. It's super expensive. The staff are miserable-- they're obviously not treated well. It's also insanely busy on student days during the school year.
The store is okay but so many things are overpriced. If you didn't know Loblaws Superstore, Super Value and Extra Foods as well as No Frills are all by Weston's
Meat always is bad. Its either expired or almost expired by a day and they claim it as a "deal" . Whoever is the purchasing/stock manager needs to learn about rotating stock. Literally went without it and headed to food basics to get better quality even though it was a little more at least i knew the product i was gonna buy would not be uneditable in a day. Self check out assistant was sitting on a scooter and only got up when called to a cash. If your workers are not working send them home, if they are on break designate a spot for them to have their break. This experience is highly disappointing, and we doubt they will be addressed.
Stopped in at 5 AM. Love that the store is open 24 hours a day. The only issue I had was that I was waiting at the checkout for 5 minutes before anyone came over to help.
Ok grocery store, its big but I sometimes find the selection not the greatest. I have had problem with their bagged milk recently with one bag being punctured and other bags not lasting until their due date, so they are not being stored properly or something. They also reduced their discounts for students which is unfortunate. There frankly isn't a lot of other stores in walking distance so I go here often (I go to farm boy too, as I find their produce is generally better and similarly priced, if not less expensive). Edit: For every good shopping experience, I'll raise star rating by two, and for every bad experience I'll take away a single star rating.
Please remember there are more than just students & singles living here. Miss the bulk that they had here about 10yrs ago. Most of the staff are incredibly & friendly.
I had to wait 30 minutes for a meat department employee to figure out pricing for a turkey ( it was the last one). At first he takes the unpriced Stuffed Butterball into the back for 15 minutes, then, comes out with a totally different product and gives it to me and quickly walks away! I then asked for a store manager and waited another ten minutes. Finally the manager was able to resolve the issue. Customer service was lacking in this department. Attempting to pass one off and not getting the manager right away, was not something you do to a customer. After waiting 30 minutes I feel a discount should have been offered.
best place for groceries in kingston! usually pretty busy. but there’s a good starbucks here now. really great selection of groceries. very reasonably priced. self check makes checking out quick.
Excellent location. Self checkouts. Beer and wine. Always something on sale. The hot food is excellent too.
Great store. Has everything. Quick checkout
This review is about the cooking classes I’ve attended at the Kingston Centre Loblaws location. So far, I’ve gone to 3 very different classes, and they were all excellent. The first one was for several Indian dishes including a fish curry. I’ve been interested in trying fish curry for ages, so this was my big chance. It was really delicious, as were the other dishes. The methods for each could be used for vegetarian, meat or seafood meals. I went home and tried all of them with great success. :) I think the chef’s name was Rhadika. The other 2 classes were run by chef Jason. He’s personable, gives excellent answers to questions, and I’ve tried his recipes at home and they were really good. His second class was a PC Black Label class where we got to participate in the prep and cooking - lots of fun and laughs. I couldn’t be more pleased with these classes.
The only one of 2 grocery stores in the downtown core but the selection is good, but avoid it on Thursday as it's student discount day
You guys gotta do something about those buskers playing guitar and singing at extremely high levels, it hurts the ears to walk past them to get inside. You can hear them clearly when you're outside the Kingston centre
For a Loblaws store I was disappointed with the fact that the milk cooler reeked of sour milk. The lineup to pay was an entire aisle long, and then some. Barely any cash registers open. Considering their prices are higher than most grocery stores, I expected better.
Conveniently located near downtown, with free underground parking and open 24h. Limited selection of fresh food items. 10% student discount on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
This is your standard Loblaws. It is quite clean although the check out lines are often long. Does not have alot of halal meat options. International food which is packaged does exist. More expensive than some other grocery stores.
One of the most high end grocery stores in London. Go here for fresh, high quality ingredients from every cuisine.
My favorite Loblaws! Smaller one than other superstores but very well respected staff amazing environment
Big store and they are open late
Ooh, this is the Costco rival in some way. They have good deals and snacks at affordable prices
When there is a sale I dont mind going to shop here. I don't drink but if you like beer, they sell it at this location..clothing for the the family and a quick serve deli with some fast food options. It is also has pretty quick cashier service with self serve options
i just got back home and checked the receipt. And I found a "grocery item" added to my bill. this item is totally imaginary. i didn't pick it up and didn't find it in my bag after getting home. Cashier of Loblaws, please do your job right.
Lots of good options.
Ive never been in such a cool Loblaws. So much prepared food fresh to choose from. Strombolis for 3.99! Ty was a giant and so friendly. Prices are good too. Will always go back here.
Clean, spacious, lots of parking, super quality, fantastic variety. It's a pleasure to shop here.
Clean, bright space with lots of room between aisles. I went there for a frozen McCain chocolate cake for my husband and also purchased some ice cream sonce it was on sale.
Great grocery store. Choices are extensive as well there is a section dedicated to natural/organic groceries and dairy products so good to find healthier and different types of food. Not as extensive as Whole Foods but the prices are nicer on the wallet. Lots of staff keeping the shelves stocked, their deli and prepared foods selection is great as well as a large amount of soups and salads and sandwiches. Great spot to get a quick lunch. They have a point system in place whereby you get rewarded for purchasing products on the weekly offers dedicated to your purchasing history. This cumulates into $$ which can be used on future purchases. They also have crazy cheap Sunday specials on dedicated items that are normally in the high price range (seafood and beef). Loblaws has recently amalgamated their point system with Shoppers Drugs so you can get points (=$$) both places.
Good location for students and people living downtown to get groceries. They usually have good $5 deals for certain chicken meats. Avoid going on student discount days as it gets super packed.
Come a few times and has the basics. Great location and the free parking is great.
Aisles have good descriptions at the end, so you know exactly what is in them (it sounds like a silly thing to comment on, but some grocery stores have infuriatingly bad descriptions on those little signs, meaning I do more time hunting than shopping.)
Clean and fresh but pricey compare to Walmart or even Superstore!
Very clean store with friendly staff. Quality products and produce. Easy to navigate aisles. Always good specials.
Great place, if you see groceries in your dream lol (opens 24/7). Pretty much you find all what you need. Nice bakery section. No line ups but the prices are not that competitive
Nice clean store. Prices are a little on the higher side. No price matching.
Great place but public washrooms needed better maintance please
Went to the Kingston center location. Had to wait in line for over 10 minutes because they were too cheap to open more than 2 cash registers, one of which was only for 1 to 12 items. We tried to purchase a lottory ticket as well. Paid for it but it didn't come out. They offered us as only solution to stand in line again for a refund at customer service. I had expected better service for the what the products actually cost.
I really like their marinated meats. Good taste and an easy meal option! I also love their fresh orange juice... the only problem is that I usually only have time to pass by after work and the juice isn't so fresh by then. If you don't get it early, it's not really worth it anymore. Tastes just as sour as commercial orange juice at that point... Staff is usually friendly (some are distracted by chatting with each other, their phone or not very enthusiastic), but they get the job done. Just what you'd expect from a typical grocery store, I suppose.
The grocery pick up experience is amazing!!!!
An OK supermarket. As is standard with the inner city PC's they're often extremely low on product towards the end of the week. They are slow to remove sales tags and so you have to double check at the cash that it's still valid. Have been let down a number of times recently due to staff who are careless, poorly trained, or don't care. Things like entirely rotten fruit hiding under container labels, the bakery's garlic bread not containing any garlic butter, ice creams being entirely melted and refrozen so now icy and inedible and deli staff not trained on the products they sell. The staff at cash are generally great.
There are some good pc amd organic products here. But overall, a little too big of a store (unless you like that) and prices for general items are cheaper elsewhere.
Excellent selection! I have eclectic tastes, but I know I'll find what I need here...
The staff in this location are great!
Solid grocery store. Great meat, nice veggie department and it fulfills all my basic needs including fresh squeezed orange juice. :')
THE STAFF ABBY @BAKERY WAS FANTASTIC! ???? JENNA @ THE SALAD BAR MADE ME 2 GREAT SALADS FANTASTIC SERVICE !!
Great store friendly staff and awesome sales. Also 24hrs which is nice for us early morning people!
Loblaws has it all. No question. Meats are second to none. Cancelling my Costco membership. ????
Good selection and competitive price
Prices are all over the map, some stuff is ridiculously over priced, others a steal. Watch close.
This is the best super market in the city. I love how the floor is all red and how they have their lighting
In need of food? Your tummy is a rumbling and a little voice in your head is screaming feed me, now! Then head on down to grocery town. Where your needs to eat can be delighted by the tasty surprises you’ll find in your local grocery store. Loblaws, Maxi, Provigo, No Frills are all the same chain just advertising under different names, but they will all delight your tastebuds with many wonderful flavours.
Don't bother going at 5pm through the week unless you feel like standing in line 10-15+ minutes. Everything is substantially overpriced compared to other local grocery stores. Being able to purchase beer and wine is a plus.
Well managed with good produce and meats.
They have a super crazy organic selection. Good for them.
This is my favorite high end grocer in kingston metro is insanely priced but I don't feel I get the quality at the others that specialize in lower prices
Good
The cheapest store in West Vancouver for quality groceries
Good to get food on the but expensive
Allowing unmasked COUGHING customers to roam through the store because management and staff don't want to "deal with it" is pathetic and unsafe! I sincerely hope this location gets caught BREAKING provincial health guidelines and gets fined! Will never go back.
They sell so much more then just food
Not the best selection of items, but you will find the friendliest and most dedicated cashiers and employees in any Loblaws. They are a special breed and make my weekly visits quick and effortless every time.
Similar bro Maxi. But it has higher quality products
Very clean and handle the line up great
The young gentleman from customer service bent over backwards to help us out. I was truly blown away by his kindness and diligence
Masonville ppl must not realize how much more they pay for the products sold at Loblaws. I mean if you were getting better service or a cleaner store, better parking even.... but this store offers nothing more than ANY other grocery store ((perhaps the cheese section is expansive), except ridiculous over-pricing! Wake up residents! You're being ripped off because of the area you live in.
Was my exclusive grocery store for a while due to proximity. Cashiers are super friendly. Produce is fresh and always lasts in the fridge
The staff are great. The grocer however is not, overpriced fruit and veg, with subpar quality. It will do in a pinch but if I'm doing a big grocery I won't come here.
I have never been to a chain grocery store with no bananas until I went here. Also when I walked in the door there was a rat running around .Besides that it's a beautiful location with a great atmosphere.
Great selection of quality products but I find the layout of the store to be super confusing.
Things as simple as ORZO not available Need better organization of item location.
Lowblaws rideau is good for late night shopping testing the freshness and quality of the nuts and candies in thebulk bins between 2:00am and 4:00am is always fun but going there for just after 10:00am is when they start putting out the 50% off stickers on meat and other products like bread
Great food selection.
Good meat department. Dry aged beef.
The store is really dated but it has everything you need. And it is downtown with friendly staff.
more surly and uniformed employees than most stores.
I love that this full service grocery store opens at 7am! I can drop my roomie off at the bus stop and grab my days groceries before it gets busy.
I sometime shopped at Loblaws at Masonville just to enjoy the environment, this remind me of a marketplace setting, with the perfect lighting that always makes the food look more delicious and delightful due to the vibrant of colors it presented. The only draw me back from this store is that the store is a little more expensive than other supermarkets around although as compensation yoj will get an amazing shopping experience with nice and helpful crews.
Really well built store very spacious was easy to find items needed for a good price while also introducing new choices ????, thanks Loblaws.
Being that I'm from a small town, walking into a grocery store of this size was overwhelming, to the point where I only go if I have to. Now that being said the staff I did deal with were friendly and helpful
Placed an order for a Birthday cake and we absolutely made the right choice. The Strawberry Shortcake was very delicious. Kudos to the Bakery staff.
Bought a 25$ gift card, tried to redeem it in front of the cashier and it was defective, they then told me to wait 24 hours to try again and if it didn't work return to the store, so obviously it didn't work and the next day when I returned the woman then refused to give me my money back or give me a new gift card and her argument was "how do I know you won't remember this code in your head and use it later if it does work eventually" even though the code was faulty, very unprofessional managment and attitude towards me the whole time when I was being super respectful and polite. She then said deal with the company itself because "we only sell the cards" perhaps you shouldn't sell faulty cards then? It's sad to see stores like this stealing from people who served our country. Myself and family will never shop at any loblaws ever again.
Good selection of produce, smaller Joe Fresh section but excellent flowers section.
Everything grocery and more is here
Convenient location, great variety of foodstuffs and more. Impressive bakery and cheesery.
Gross disrespect of Canadian law and their own customers exposed by recent price fixing scandal. Canadians should be up in arms this Loblaws isn't being treated more severely by Canadian government for breaking the law.
My first time there. I loved it. Clean, organized, a variety of items!
Self check out was quick and easy, even with alcohol, even though the store was reletively busy I was in and out in. I time
Good selection in general and offers great variety of organic & natural options
I love the fact that this store is open 24hrs. Fresh vegetables section is little dull and doesn't seem fresh! Everything else is awesome. Update[on 31st May 2018]: These days they are having fresh vegetables which looks fresh! but I am sad they got rid of the freshly made smoothies or juice section!
One of the best organized grocery store I have been to during the pandemic. The line up for checkout is much better then other grocery stores.
Such high level super market needs to use professional cashiers not students just to save make more profit!!!
Nice clean store, with friendly staff
Great location for students, easily accessible with transit or walking distance from campus.
It's a fine grocery store. Very convenient location and 24 hours.
I like this market a lot because is in a good location. The distribution of the supplies is OK. Sometimes there are not enough shopping cars.
Always good and fresh food.
Great selection of product; helpful friendly staff.
Beautiful flagship Loblaws location.
Sandwiches made so fresh they were made tomorrow...I hate this. I bought a sandwich at 630pm. Said it was made on the following date...don't lie to me. Remind me again of the price of bread? Tomorrow's "today" is already a day old? Again, how much does bread cost? I vaguely recall prices just being made up...are dates on a calendar a suggestion?
Really nice and clean store. Shelves are fully stocked to the point that it looks like someone is going around behind shoppers and filling shelves back up after they put something in their cart. Really nice produce section and large healthy food section with lots of selection.
A large selection of high-quality goods
Great selection, but VERY overpriced. Produce alone can each cost $1+ more than Food Basics/Fresh Co. Great one-stop shop, much like other Loblaws stores, since it has beer/wine, seasonal items, etc. Lots of parking and a decent location.
Very high class store which was heavily renovated in the last 3 years. The store has in house cafe, hot and cold food bars, deli counter, a huge cheese section with massive wheels of parmesan, and a full bakery that bakes fresh in house breads, buns and bagels (Montreal style a specialty). The rest of the store is your typical higher end store with home wares, every kind of grocery product you can think of and finally they have a full Joe Fresh clothing department.
Bad selection, crowded, expensive. I miss the provigo in gatineau
Worst customer service I have ever seen, my best friends grandma was threatened to be banned and accused of stealing where all she was trying to do is call my friend over to help her out. The store manager was very rude to them making them feel unwelcome. Never shopping here again!
Mostly good though there is definitely room for improvement. I have not interacted with staff do cannot vouch for that.
Customer service can be better to focus on serving people on the right time.
The place was great but the casheer was too slow
Very helpful staff. Always get you through the checkout quickly. Lots of inventory.
Large selection of goods, prepared foods, fresh fish, large deli and delicious baked goods.
Large supermarket with everything you will need + Pharmacy. In downtown Ottawa . Open 24 hours pers day. .
Alaways a great.place to shop
Clean, friendly and a very good selection and variety of grocery items. Flowers, bakery, deli, fresh fish & beef, organic choices as well.
Good selection, clean and overall a pleasant experience every time.
Good selection, well-lit, large store. Some aisles are a bit difficult to maneuver in due to pillars in the way but I like the fact that I can see everything and it's clean. A bit pricier than No Frills or Food Basics but there are days when I will sacrifice price for not getting depressed when doing my shopping.
Love the new store! Always have great specials for meat, as well many other items. Other grocery stores in West Vancouver are more expensive, in my experience.
Upscale grocery store. Excellent selection of premium products. Very nice public bathrooms on the upper level. ...just take the big staircase in the produce section. There is also a quiet seating area upstairs. This is a great place to enjoy a snack. Excellent place for people with kids who need a break.
Your paying for convenience this close to downtown. Very well stocked.
Fresh food always, fast service and nice employees Almond croissants are ALWAYS fresh and delicious!
I'd give it a 5, but a lot of the food is expensive overall. Love the no name products :)
I've always shopped here regularly but the manager tonight did an excellent job here and has made me even more set in my choice.
You can't and you won't and you don't stop , finding deals to keep the mouths you feed HAPPY. Enjoy that name kitchen people . The rules are changing at home when feeding the people . Waste not want not
Nice service with good selection of products
Great prices on name brands, but found the staff a little stuck up!!
Nice, well laid out. Good selection of food, produce and other items.
Nice and easy to shop there at reasonable prices ????
Prefer it anytime to the Metro down the street from it. Spacious and parking available. Well-kept and clean. Consistent with other Loblaws. Wish prices were cheaper.
This place is way too big and has way too much. I can never get out of there!
Well kept store. Lots of product even sale items were in stock
Sassy clean beautiful store especially upon entering: pastry counter is fabulous ????????✔️
Was quite cold in the store but otherwise well stocked.
Place is nice and has an excellent ready food post. Prices are reasonable for the location and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Very clean. Staff was nice. Well organized and easy to get around the store. Easily found the items we were looking for.
I went into the store to switch phone plans and was going to change to one of the PC plans but the guy there recommended going with one of the freedom mobile plans that had a promotion. I have been really happy with my new phone plan and the service at the store was amazing! Highly recommend!
Big and busy, two student days / week which make the place busier, also selling beers
wow havent been here in a few years. so many items. really went to find sushi and they had exactly what i like! really good prices and gorgeous display
Good selection
Best grocery store in Ottawa, great staff for most part, least expensive groceries downtown. Quality as well...
Very very nice supermarket, I regret not living closer to it. It's so big, it has everything, fresh bakery and pastry are amazing, food quality very high, polite and professional staff, they have a full collection of "no name" and "PC" both of which I like and buy from. Offers they have are sometimes so good that reduces your bill by $50.
Nice place. Clean bathrooms, good service, great selection especially meats and cheeses. Expensive though.
The nicest large grocery store I've seen in Vancouver. A lots a new design of bread
Great place for a quick lunch with the $5 combos from the hot food counter. Store has huge variety of items. Even the sushi isn't bad for a grocery store :).
Awesome layout. Great staff. Navigation is quick and easy. I find the line at cash to be unnecessary management when there is more than enough cashier's - but that's just me. Keep up the great holiday spirit in the housing department.
Great product with ample parking.
You can get almost everything from your daily need list. They are the home of President's Choice brand & their products are cheaper here. In addition bakery items are best here and pretty low-priced.
This is a big loblaws, recently renovated, lots of produce and ready made food, I find it difficult to find things, but the staff are friendly and helpful. It's clean and has ample parking, and carts.
I think it's understandable that sometimes some items may be past their best before date, and get missed and left on the shelves. But I found a product that was more than 3 weeks past it's BB date. I find that quite unacceptable for a grocery store at which you would think you're paying more for better products.
No other retail establishment excels at wasting my time like this Loblaws location. Regardless of time or day, they consistently do not stock the popular "short carts," nor do they manage to put the hand baskets by the entrance. Quite often I'm searching the store myself for this convenience, and sometimes there is not a single one to be had. Quite often product is not in stock, and every so often the product you are looking for has expired. I never realized that a grocery store could cause anxiety, disbelief and frustration on a regular basis, but alas, here stands the 1100 Princess St. Loblaws.
High prices but an awesome selection of donuts..fresh and cheaper than Tim hortons .
Loblaw's thick cut bacon. Mmmmmm. Keep the drippings for frying. Love that smokey fat!
We get all of our groceries here. It was recently renovated and now has the feel of a market. Food is fresh and there is a good variety. The bakery counter has wonderful baked goods. There is an area to have a hot lunch or to pick up a coffee to have while you're shopping. Their points program is free and has saved us so much money. It caters to what we buy so our points accumulate quickly!
I don't usually prefer loblaws as it's extremely big and expensive, however I recently bought rib eye steak twice in few days. It's extremely well tendered and delicious
Lots of variety, great natural food section& love the PC points!
Great customer service, and even better prices
Great store... Lots of specialty foods and a great bakery. Produce section can be hit and miss, they sometimes have carried poor onions, and run low on some stock. Meat prices can run a bit high, but watch for specials which make up for higher regular prices. Largest selection of lactose free dairy from milk, shreaded and block cheese, sour cream and butter. Lots of vegan food as well.
Self checkout is amazing. Great parking and access
It's an OK Loblaws, was next to my hotel (from Toronto). If you absolutely need to, come to this Loblaws.
OPEN EARLY (THANKGOODNESS) our hotel breakfast was closed and thank goodness Loblaws was opened and had fresh cut already cut. This store was a life saver.
Love how clean this place ios. The vegetables always look great. Meat always packaged without dripping.
Huge Loblaws with lots of selection. Prices aren’t the greatest—you’ll find better at Superstore—but some discounts make certain deals worth it.
Worst customer services and Management in whole Canada.Very rude with some specific customers which represent Racism.
Great variety of stuff but more expensive than the usual supermarkets.
Great selection. Police were there last time but that seems fairly normal.
The prices are fantastically low. On Tuesdays and Thursdays are even cheaper for students. There is always a sale going on, you just need to find it. They are significantly lacking in fresh produce and the consistency of produce availability fluctuates a lot in the day. I recommend to stop by here earlier in the day if you can, that way there is more available. Also, the organic selection is huge, love this addition.
Same excellent quality and service loblaws on lonsdale has!
Great Staff and selection of products
Very big interior. Staff are friendly. There’s apparently a dietitian whom you can ask advice from, but I’ve never tried it. They also sell wine. All in all it is located in a very convenient location downtown. And it also has fresh fruits and vegetables along with meat and canned goods and so on and so forth. Pharmacy: it’d be nice if someone answered the phone
Great store. Very large with various products. You're almost sure to find everything you need. Interior parking at street level is very practical.
Free pkg underneath provide you show proof you bought something. It needs a reno. inside.
Very good location, massive selection, very clean and relatively odorless kudos to that.
Pricier than most grocery shops, but great produce
A very nice supermarket. The self checkout bagging platforms are quite small though, I assume to encourage checking out large purchases with a real cashier.
Big, clean store. But it is quite expensive. Sale selection is good
Good selection of food at slightly higher than average prices. Quality of seafood/meats/deli/cheeses all excellent. Produce is better priced and of similar quality at any of the Asian supermarkets in town.
Great place for food. Many fruits are fresh and very cheap. Best roast chicken in town.
I need to go to the pharmacy at Loblaws regularly. I've always been served with smiles, courtesy and prompt services. When l call the pharmacy to get something done, it gets done. I have even been called by the pharmacy letting me know l was due for certain medications. All in all it's been a great service to me.
dimmer lightings at some areas selections are very limited eatery (ready-made/cooked) is great paying stations have less space around
Upscale-ish grocery store with a huge floor space and a great selection of products, although usually at higher than average prices.
Nicely laid out, lots of room in the aisle, fresh quality food
Huge store... Always organized and clean... Prices on sales are very reasonable... Variety as you won't find anywhere else...
Favorite place to go every week
Good deals. Shop often. Just customer Service isn't good. Not well trained employees that are rude at times and racist towards first nations also at times.
Excellent selection of products. Cannot think of anything they don't have. Prices fluctuate but they usually have a couple good deals on in-store and not always listed online. Best of all is their Joe Fresh, wine and beer, bakery and fresh fruit and vegetables sections. There are floral, magazine, deli and pharmacy services with some helpful people. Then when you get through all that and buy your groceries etc, there are kiosk style stores - cell phones (serving all phone companies; what better way to compare?), glasses (they even provide optometrist services and they have a good selection of frame styles!), financial, and on the way out there's customer services that provide lottery tickets to buy! Talk about one stop shopping!
Excellent service and friendly staff. Good deal time to time. Clean store. Quality products. Thank you!
Good selection good customer service canteen could be cleaner
Nice store, were a little low on some items
This is a great location, it's easy to stop by here between classes or when I'm at the mall running errands. Never disappoints!
Very nice and big place and almost can find everything but sometimes I can find same thing cheaper in other places
Extremely high prices! And most of the time you can't walk out of the front door without walking through a crowd of panhandlers, and people drunk. I try to avoid going in there as much as possible.
I love the place always fresh fruit when I crave it...mind you with this virus I find people very grumpy...
Good quality food, as well as a friendly staff
Either untrained employees or a bad company. I tried to return a pumpkin spice that I later found had some unwelcoming ingredients. I bought it at the Lonsdale location in North Vancouver and assumed you can return items at any location within the return date but was told that is not the case so 3 stars is what they get.
Grocery store. A little bit gritty but they sell beers.
Bright, colorful, well organized and a tad pricy. Loved shopping here. The staff were super friendly and everything is soo well arranged. Huge parking space and a huge selection of cheese, breads and bakery products.
I wish to clarify what happened today because we were identified as “cheaters”. After a very long wait in the line, it was our turn to see a cashier. The screen shows we need to go to cashier #1. As we arrived cashier #1, the cashier lady told us she is leaving and can’t help us. She told us to go back to the lane and the next cashier will help us. We went back to the lane and explained it to the lady behind us and she said it's okay. When we were with the next cashier, a gentleman from behind came up and said we might enjoyed cutting the line this time but it is not OK and left quickly - he didn't give us a chance to explain it at all. We hope no one will have this kind of problem in the future because we were very upset about it. We are Asians and we knew that some people hold stereotypical thoughts against us, making us extra careful about tnings like that. We couldn't find the gentleman afterwards and were very worried that we left a bad image. Therefore, we are motivated to write this as soon as we are back home. It was no one's fault, but we sincerely hope that it won't happen to anyone again.
This Loblaws is open 7am to 11pm 7 days a week. They sell beer and wine from 9am until 11pm Mon-Sat, and 9am-6pm on Sundays. You can expect to wait on average 5 minutes in line and pay higher than average prices for everything, unless you buy things that are on sale(and even then they aren't always a deal) or marked down for clearance at 50% off. They have the best selection of any grocery store, but you pay a premium.
I really like the selection from the bakery and other small "restaurants" inside of Loblaws. The prices are sometimes higher than other grocery stores and unfortunately they do not price match. They do offer up a Tuesday student discount though. The new colour scheme is appealing.
Nice and thorough grocery store adjacent to City Market
The store is clean and I'm a big fan of the 50% off "reduced" items....however on multiple occasions I have endured slow cashiers, long lines as well as unfriendly and unhelpful staff... I have had to pay full price for items that were supposed to be reduced, then told to wait at customer service for a refund. When I inquired about comment cards, I was told they were "unavailable"; when I further inquired about how to leave a comment I was simply told "Uhm I'm not sure maybe call the store?"....
An excellent grocery store that always has fresh produce and a wide variety of goods. Staff are receptive and friendly, always wanting to ensure that their customers are satisfied. The produce selection is stellar!! I especially love the garden centre (seasonal) and plants that are available year-round.
Great shopping market.
its a great place to do your groceries. they have fresh baked goods. i realy like the free underground parking. just remeber to get your ticket stamped by the cashier before you leave
This is one place that won't get 5 stars. You simply do not save here and the reduced is hard to come by in the deli. The staff are well trained but lines are slow, only in peak hours. They need to bring down pricing on most junk food and at least half of the organic section. Example one bag of Terra Potato chips was no joke $10.19 Canadian. Potato chips in general are priced higher than at convenience stores! Produce can also be very expensive. Sometimes it baffles me. But they always have stock of all items so still a great place to get what you want but not need!
Love this location. It's a beautiful store. Produce and meat is good quality as well as they have great sales.
A grocery store in the downtown, 2 blocks from home. The convenience is great. Clean and never overcrowded.
This place is super expensive compared to the superstore in North Vancouver. Or if you live in West Van, you can go to Osaka Supermarket to compare the grocery price.
Very nice grocery store. It has a deli type feel. Very clean and the staff are helpful
Great quality produce and meat and even through the pandemic has great selection of items! I always find what I’m looking for!
I was appalled by the lack of cCustomer Service at the fresh salad booth this morning. The woman was totally disinterested in my request for a Greek Salad for 2. I did not need or want a large salad. She just kept pointing at those. I asked where they are as I usually purchased them there. She basically shrugged her shoulders and continued making large salads. I commented that her lack of service and attitude was astounding. I used to shop there all the time and used to be impressed with Customer Service. I will not be returning. At the prices we pay these days, Customer Service should top notch. Management needs to increase customer service training and remind them that they are the Face of Loblaws.
Best place for reasonably priced groceries in the downtown area
Prices are high, only a few friendly staff. Everyone else is grouchy. Taking problems out on customers, treat people like dirt. I never shop here. Get everything I need from other sources. Presidents choice or simpli financial is a good place to bank.
Pricey, but conveniently located, especially for those living on the northern end of the Western campus. Food quality is good here, especially compared to some other grocery stores.
This is a big grocery store, really big for WestVan. Its a pretty sterile feel as its was really quiet noise wise and people wise. The layout is a bit different so you gotta figure out where things are as a glance wont do it. Very quiet store i have to say again, felt strangely dystopian. Such a big store and yet the coffee section was maybe 6 ft wide and high? My normal haunts you walk to see this section start and end. Milk kind of hidden on the coolers and many coolers , more so than i am used to. They have a huge bakery section, produce area is ample but again, seemed like a corner market display with a little of a lot but not a lot of variety. Just a funny feel. Joint but they got me fed, yes sir, yes sir, 4 bags full!
I do shop here quite frequently as I live in the downtown area. Shelves are usually stocked adequately, and staff are always friendly. The pandemic has been a bit hard in terms of pricing and some inventory, so I do find myself finding cheaper prices elsewhere, but overall satisfied
Great store Always well stocked
When the enclosed Kingston Shopping Centre was demolished a few decades ago, only a few names remained and one of those was Loblaws. The store was rebuilt and to this day remains the largest and busiest in the Kingston Centre. The store attracts a wide range of customers including university/college students and seniors and good socio-economic backgrounds. It is centrally located in Kingston with the Princess Street Metro its biggest competitor. When wine and beer was permitted, it was in the first group of stores to do so. The store is large and carries a wide assortment of products. Low prices are not the major emphasis.
Pulled out 20inch long hair out of the first wing I took a bite of.... how? Bought the premise chicken wings from their meat section.
Trash service and trash supermarket. Avoid at all costs and spend your money at Farmboy if budget allows.
Nice
Great variety of products. No need to go anywhere else. One stop shopping.
Meat prices are great and its not the lonsdale location
Good
Great Quality Fruits & Vegetables Friendly Professional staff
Plenty of products from which you can choose from and an excellent rotisserie and bakery
Great supermarket, good service and location. The prices are pretty good and the place is open 24hrs.
Absolutely Love shopping here! Except for, when I have tried to order Hot To Go food, I seem to be treated rudely by the two older ladies that are working in the hot food area.. They both scoff and roll their eyes and make remarks, and when I ask them if they're ok, they again roll their eyes and mumble under their masks. Hopefully other Customers are Not treated so disgustingly rude. I don't think they enjoy their jobs very much.
Great grocery store downtown Ottawa! Good selection of products. Free underground parking, just get your parking ticket stamped.
Clean with a huge selection of everything. It is on the more expensive side so know your prices and watch for the sales.
Smaller Loblaws with free underground parking and a cart escalator to bring your groceries to the parking lot. While the store lacks a large variety of selection, they often have many deals and discounts to cater to the student population next door. There are not many check-out lanes so when the store is busy checking out is sometimes slow.
Prices are too high but service is great and always lots of cashes open
Great customer service, great atmosphere, friendly staff, everything is usually stocked, I have no complaints.
I'm a big fan. Love how their making no frills look better. Best bakery always interesting love the Sushi bar. Of course I stop to see what's new at Joe Fresh.
It's pretty good but the lines can get long. Would recommend when not busy.
Good selection of products but at a higher than average price point.
Staff seem easily overwhelmed and under trained/managed, but the prices are ok, a good grocer if it's the closest place to where you live I guess
They had food and I was surprised lol
Found moldy buns in their bakery section. Brought it up to someone working there and got a snotty look, no response other than her rudely grabbing them out of my hands. Not the way to run a business. I was just trying to be nice and let them know.
Carries all the products i need including a good selection of vegan and natural products. The store is always clean and checkouts are always fast and friendly but be prepared to empty your wallet because prices are high! Good quality produce though.
That place is like a cross between your Independent Grocer and No Frills. The prices are high the prices are low. Poor service. Not clean, feeling. Old food. Example: Cooked ready to eat chicken wings or pieces in the cooler that were cooked 5 days ago. With two days to go on expiry date. I wouldn't leave chicken in my fridge at home for that long...and they are selling it. At 8pm, that was the only choice. 5 days old...or nothing. The staff all look like they are related. Kids fooling around up at the registers. I had high hopes for a Loblaw's store...but I'm going back to No frills.
Decent. Some of the staff are sometimes frustrating. But over all a very good super market
Love it.
Is like a small town with everything you need and all very clean and tidy.
Everything worked as it should - I got everything on my list, quality was good, got my preferred pick-up time and pick-up waiting was minimal.
Seems like a place that haters heavily to the students, and they do a great job at it with everything from groceries to toaster ovens! Close to University of Ottawa.
Got a turkey, and a few other items that we wouldn't find in napanee, but otherwise prices are double what we'd pay at Walmart. Sad but true.
Useful as it s always open... but not the cleanest around. May be the dirtiest in town. I wish they clean it more often . Really doesnt copare to other loblaws in otawa
Great deli and bakery
Large supermarket. Good selection, pretty good produce. Not a 'discount' supermarket by any stretch of the imagination but not scary expensive either. One of our go-to places to shop for food.
Great place to shop. Big open store with lots of variety. We went for supper and they have a great selection of diffent foods. They have soups, pasta, salads, pizzas and full meal deals. They have a large siting area inside and a few places to sit outside too. They have a great bakery for treats as well.
Produce is usually very good quality, their deli and other counters have quite friendly staff too.
Great grocery store, but also one the best places to park downtown! A close walk to pretty much anything, and probably the best deal of parking rates in town. Wish I'd known about this earlier.
My go to so far in Ottawa. Always good prices on food to cook the day of. Quality of meet is lacking, but it's a loblaws..
I like this place, has a good selection for lunch and most all the Staples I look for in a grocery store. Got this neat Soup of the day with cranberries? Was actually pretty awesome with the sour and salt mix that wasn't expected. Unfortunately if you want to eat there for a quick lunch they make you lineup at the cashier before coming back to enjoy your food. Would be great if they could make a till right there.
Snow day & early morning...nice quiet shop! Always good sales! C.J
good, fresh and long hour store, higher price than other Loblaws as this is one of the Prime Store, you pay more for the location. great service and great employee.
Only 4 Cashiers on and working at the busiest time of day. Extremely long waits.
Yesterday I spent a while at the Joe Fresh section with my toddler. The girl at the returns / service counter was very helpful.
superb shopping location, very convenient, all kinds of selections your heart can possibly desire, a very nice place to go for grocery.
Cashier did not greet me when I approached (there was no line), and then asked me if I had a rewards card. I said I didn't, and then she asked if she could use hers.
Excellent collection of all needed, best place for quick and efficient shopping.
My Togo grocery store, although I wish they had greater selection of coffee, tea, marinated chicken.
Loblaws has great quality produce, not so bad quality of meat, meat could look a little fresher not so grey at times due to the meat being old laying around.. portion size of meat package is very small the price of its ridiculous so over priced. They have great fresh premade take out meals available. Not bad selection of fruit and vegetables I just find loblaws is really over priced compared to many other stores that offer the same brand, quality but for a cheaper price that's the only down fall about loblaws Aslo Have to watch buying already cooked chicken they sell I purchased it one time my son got food poisoning from the chicken not being cooked thoroughly.
Nice ,clean ,store, not crowded.
HUGE, everything is so clean and neat. Bright orange and makes you feel a certain way. Love it!
Very clean and well kept store with a funny layout it seems backwards to most grocery stores! Shopping here's okay if it's your only option but it's a little pricey
Nice clean store very nice staff very quick service. ????????
Great store. Very busy and not for those who are in a hurry
Wayyyy better than the Lonsdale City Market. Much better selection and quality of produce and fresh goods. Still over packaged and overpriced though.
new...huge...fantastic meat,deli,bakery,produce
It is clean and good place to Stay.
Clean speedy check outs
Wonderful place to work but they make u work sometimes like slaves especially in the warehouse near super store
The employees and management are very unprofessional and rude. Very little knowledge in the departments where they're supposed to know something about the products being sold. Just a bad experience every time I go in. I know this will change nothing but hopefully someone skips asking a question and saves themselves time.
Really impressed with the online shopping. Used it while self isolating after foreign travel. The staff and the quality of the food was exceptional. Thank you.
Best price first place to find vegan scones reasonable price..wish more vig changes would do this.
Pricey, compared to other grocery stores. BUT always a good assortment of product. Store layout is a bit confusing, doesn't follow regular Loblaw layout.
Beautiful store. Sometimes good deals. Love those PC points!!
The store and staff are great here. I just cannot get behind a company that refuses to pay its workers fairly, especially during a pandemic, so that why I chose three stars.
A lot of great meat sales. Clean. A lot of things I can't find in other stores.
They are very difficult to get ahold of (head office) they give you voice mail and nobody ever calls you back. The emails don't allow you to work through them easily. You can't seem to reply properly, which means you can't submit your reply because they is no way of doing that and no one helps either. Or it can take days if your lucky enough to get a reply at all. Very poor customer service
Very expensive especially when students are coming back from Christmas holidays. Go to Walmart instead far away from city center.
I ordered a smash cake for my son's first birthday tomorrow I went in a week ago and talked it all out with the lady it was going to be perfect I picked it up today and it's a cupcake... It would have been perfect if it had been a cake like I had ordered to begin with!!! Giving me 50% off a cake smash cake doesn't make up for the massive mess up!!! Now I'm left stressing about how to fix this when his birthday and cake smash are tomorrow and he doesn't have the cake I ordered!!!
Very clean store, well shocked and fast check out.
Very nice store, well stocked.Pricing depends on the sales and what you can afford.Staff was very helpful.I purchased some deli meat which was fantastic.
Great! No line up today. Alright!
Was looking to buy the beef tenderloin whole one to cut up for filet mignon but unfortunately they didn't get their shipment in but luckily they gave me the phone number for the other location and they had it
This loblaws has some great chicken, you get 10 for $10 of White chicken strips seriously the best I have had. They have crispy or lightly coated. They are both very good. We stop to pick up a box when going to appointments, and take them home, have a few on the way home. Fresh is great but I freeze mine and I can get quite a few dinners out of that! If ur ever going by here, I would definitely recommend trying out these fresh white chicken strips. They are made in store, so good! Great job guys keep up the great work. The staff are very polite and the store is very clean. Thanks
decent prices....good selection.....
Super fancy place, they have pretty much anything you need if you can afford their prices Staff is pretty inclined to give condescending looks if you don't look like their standard clientele though
Staff barely know the store they work in, not impressed
Loblaws is made for the rich people. Just close your eyes and pull it your wallet spend spend and spend
Easy to find items! Getting more gluten free and keto items!
Very neat, clean and comfortable place for shopping. Easy access for those who live in North Shore. Prices are normally higher than Walmart and Save on food.
Its pretty standard Loblaws fare, so good variety, but there are a few maintenance items, like broken glass doors for exit that need fixing. Makes me wonder if there are security issues?
Great garden section
Tried my first online order to pick up and had an excellent experience. The staff were very helpful explained the process and even allowed a last minute change to the order.
I am so happy for the meats.
35 year old white male with young family. I almost exclusively shop here for groceries, usually with my wife and kid. Occasionally I shop alone. On two different occasions while shopping alone and lazily dressed. I was stalked by plain clothes security. I’m trained in counter surveillance and I was 100% cognizant of what was happening. I attempted to communicate with an obviously inexperienced LPO (light brown skin, well dressed man) who scampered away as I approached him to ask a non-invasive neighborly question. I can only imagine how our Squamish friends are treated.
Watch your points. Loblaws, Superstore and Shoppers are notorious for not providing earned Optimum points. I have been ripped off several times and have to waste time to get the points through their stupid app. I am buying more from other stores because I am tired of the hassle.
We use the click and collect consistently. Really pleased with this service! Saves our family a lot of time and maintains quality as if we shopped ourselves.
Many stores once they experience high demand and an increase in customers, they simply lose the quality of their supplies, they become severely under staffed and simply start to see a decline in all aspects and can not reach the quality of standards required by CFIA. Living in the north shore, specifically West Vancouver where the majority of the population are families and elderly people, we must always respect them and be considerate towards them. After what I became eye to eye with today, I assure you that I will never step foot in this store again, and I advise you not to either. The manager threw out an elderly woman, and was very inconsiderate of her age and the fact that she did not understand him well. Leaving half of the store shook seeing as it was coming from the manager of a highly developed corporate and franchise grocery store (so they call themselves). The elderly woman simply could not understand what was being said, and because of the miscommunication he did not just verbally disrepect her but physically he was very abusive too. This is a matter that should not be over looked and must urgently be assessed.
That one was always classy. Seems to be suffering actually some issues in product turnover. Salad, veggie and fruit go bad within 2 days after purchase. Even though product has been stored appropriate during transfer and at home.Very disappointing for the price-tag. I won’t go there anymore.
The price is right and fresh especially fruits and vegetables
Great parking. Seems to be open most holidays. Perfectly sized.
The store was nice and clean.... The staff were courteous and friendly as well as helpful in locating some items. There were no line ups at the check out. The isle are big enough that you can easily move around in them
I find this loblaws is often out of popular produce. They often stock the shelves when it's busiest (like on student days) so the aisles are crowded and awkward to maneuver. The friendly cashiers and free indoor parking is nice though.
Awesome place, they keep a count of people within the place because of covid so sometimes u may have to wait a bit but they always have stock and prices are always reasonable
Lot if options for grocery shopping.
Good selection. Nice produce. Meat department is very good. Occasionally get a cranky checkout person, but overall a nice store.
Beautifully laid out store! So much nicer than some of the Loblaws I've been in
It is a German afobea place the products are made in Bangladesh the. Clothing and the foods are dirty out daEted and have changed food products to save A DIMEA THEY only think of profit not Quality and NOT THE people or consumer
Under ground free parking, large store with good section, nice baked goods section
Little bit of everything. And then some.. fun place to shop
Very clean grocery. Incredible customer service at flower shop.
Staff is usually no where to be found. Many of the items I have purchased were near expiration. There’s a few people on cash and self-checkout that are super friendly. And the man at the butcher shop is very accommodating and helps me find what I need.
Liked parking underground as it was so hot, very helpful staff.
DAYYYYYUMMMMMMM it's fancy (and expensive). It's good for specialty items but I wouldn't buy the basics here. Unless you're a baller or just want to throw money away! They have really nice floral selections, nice baked good and to-go items, and you can buy beer and wine there! Also, Joe is some good stuff.
Lots of parking, huge selection n wide isles, bright. Best one in the city.
Clean friendly well stocked.
I like shopping at loblaws because of the variety of food they offer. I haven't found this much variety in other stores. It is true that the products are a bit more expensive. But you get the quality.
Why is the bathroom closed because of Covid-19? I work at a smaller grocery store downtown and it's open during this time, people still need to use the bathroom, it's a basic human right. Hire cleaners to clean the bathroom regularly, we shouldn't have to shop in discomfort because you're to cheap to hire a cleaner and blame it on Covid-19 when you don't even offer hand sanitizer at the front door.
Over priced, due to overheard by having a beautifully looking store. And long wait times for checkouts
It's a very large store, and has alot of items on sale.
Very nice store to visit
Top quality foods, great selection. All of their stores are great, but Loblaws has gone the extra step with this main chain. Best grocery stores in Canada, in my opinion.
Great selection of groceries, meats and cheeses. A little bit pricey, but good fresh produce
Great store they take COVID 19 very seriously. They are a grocery store so that part is self explanatory.... They have a great variety of pre made meals for rather reasonable prices. I recently purchased the chicken taco kit, it had everything there for a pre made meal just heat and eat. I recommend this store if your on the go and need to feed the family in a hurry.
They have some awesome deals....????
Awesome grocery store, they do student discounts on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and they accept status card for the taxes if you have one. I went on tuesday around 6 PM and it was extremely busy, mostly students. It was a bit stressful but that's to be expected.
I shop here on a regular basis I'm a loyal customer but giving my last experience I will not be returning! I went through the self check out and there was a problem with several items as I was checking out so I asked for the ladies assistance each time she shook her head rolled her eyes and gave me a rude answer as if it was my problem it wasn't working I have bin through self check out many times I know how to work the machine. it's your job to help customers if they need it now make them feel guilty for asking you do to do your job another customer was a witness to her rude antics and I will be contacting the manager of this location the paying customers dont need to be made to feel bad for asking for assistance.. this person should be fired cause it wasnt just me she was giving attitude towards..
Very clean and expensive place but they have my favorite yogurt
My favourite food store when in Ontario! Presentation, space, range of products. Also ready made for home is very various. Good parking.
Little bit dated supermarket compared to their other locations in Toronto. However, same great selection of products. Comfortable location and underground parking
Normal but large Loblaws. Happy they actually have the lamb I eat however the cheese selection is not up to Montreal choices.
Very clean and organized store anything I needed I found. More expensive than my small town grocery stores
Never eating anything from here again. The turkey sandwich I bought was very moldy but somehow packaged today…. The manager had the audacity to argue that the green slimy stuff around the turkey cold cut wasn’t moldy at all. If your manager doesn’t know what moldy meat looks like then this place is doomed. Did the manager or employees complete a FOODSAFE certificate? I highly doubt it if they cant tell what mold looks like. Never coming back here. I’m very disappointed with the manager and how this was all handled.
remember to check the price before paying there price is always ring up wrong . Also there red tag sale price is misleading sale the item regularly price are 5.99 . And they put up red tag sale price are still 5.99 when ask cashier they where clueless sbout it . Really disappointed with this store
Good place to pick up prepared foods and baked goods for lunch or dinner. Less good for basic essentials - limited choice and stock levels seem to be quite low. There are better places to pick up your household groceries, even at Park Royal. Being at Park Royal it is very convenient for buses though.
They always have a great selection of flowers and really good price for them
Fresh produce with exceptional staffs.
Nice store but they a always think I'm stealing ????????????
I went In to buy a few items, I started at the deli where I was greated by a young man who was friendly & very knowledgeable, he helped me find the right meat & cheese for a dish I was making. He went out of his way to make sure I found everything I needed. He had a great knowledge of the meats & cheeses, & was asked by fellow employees for assistance. I will definitely be returning to this location. Thank you.
I like going in to buy chicken already cooked after a long days work when I'm tired. I buy the pack of 10 breaded chicken strips. Good value for the money
They very helpfully have a student discount Tuesdays and Thursdays. Huge store and have found everything I need.
Great place to shop, shiny and clean with a good selection of produce, it can be a bit pricey though.
High quality products great Meat and Fish plus with my back injury ordering online and picking up is fantastic.
Truly a unique store makes shopping a delight. I love their new multicultural freezer section where they're featuring Neale's Sweet N Nice Ice Cream, all natural real fruit and cream.
Lots of variety for international foods
Great store with great selections. Staff is always attentive and helpful.
Lots of services....but very big and expensive compared to the sister stores. I prefer no frills, valumart, and superstore.
I bought sirloin steaks that turned out to be rancid. Didn't get an apology when I returned them. Assistant manager is a pompous ass.
Lady at the customer service desk was incredibly rude and unhelpful
Was not in love with this place. The layout was odd and they had no clothing products. The employees were alright at front but not so much in the store.
Clean. Organized. Courteous
Good Loblaws, friendly staff. The only thing is a few times now I have been at the Supper hour 4 to 7pm, on a Friday or Saturday and no fresh hot deli whole chickens. Plenty cooked in the cooler out front right across from the deli as you walk in but hot and ready, usually none. Defeats the whole purpose of a hot ready to go deli when most all of the offerings like chickens, strips, wings, etc are chiller at a prime hour.
Great selection and staff, but they seem to be allowing a lot of companies in that are trying to sell credit cards, gym memberships, etc.
Well organized stuffs, a clean and pleasant market
Store good. Customer service from head office appalling bad. It's a hit or miss whether or not someone returns your phone messages. Short on actual staff to answer questions in ur stores as well as your head office. When transferring customers on the phone you simply transfer them from one voice mail to another. You changed the way your emails work, (no way to send a reply). You changed things to make more things more secure. The only thing that changed was you found a way to make things worse. It is a very frustrating process now. You should be embarrassed as you clearly don't care.
Love city market. Prices and selection is perfect. I love the President's Choice brand, quality is great. They also have an amazing choice of deserts and have a stir fry chef that can make you food. Picnic tables inside in the deli area are great for a quick lunch. Teo locations, one on Lonsdale in North Van and one on Marine in West Van, the one in WV is quite large and parking is decent. Park upstairs for a better parking and easier access!
I would truly like to thank the cashier who paged the manager when she learned my friend was picking up a I pad for me to take to chemotherapy, and to the manager who gave me the extra discount a huge THANK YOU.
Control of line up so store not overcrowded. Good amount of people allowed at a time. Received flowers one time on way out!
Better than Choices and Save on foods. However, we prefer Wholefoods.
Your lucky you got one star. I couldn't wait in line any longer. My legs were starting to hurt. You would think there would be more tills open considering the outrageous prices of everything they sell.
Excellent quality. Can literally go down the road 1km and get same product 30% cheaper but can't beat the quality.
Very friendly and polite staff
Clean well stocked store
Excellent service, great produce and excellent in store bakery.
Recently renovated and well priced for the quality. Cheese selection is amazing as well as meat department
Very disappointed. Meat department very poor with stocking and keeping meat in stock. You need limits on purchases!! Had to come back 3x and the department was rude. Older guy there, very rude.
Great staff.
Great service and staff.
Would be nice if they handled the buskers and begging at the door
Always has been a great place for groceries. Clean and friendly service.
Great Loblaws but hot food area needs help. Food doesn’t look fresh, looks dried out, and looks like it’s been sitting out for days. They need paninis.... Cause all the other Loblaws have them...Soo yea!
Good location, good food, good organic section, clean, well organized, good deli area. My only real beef is a bit on pricey side (some items not all). They also do a decent job of moving people through checkouts.
Piece of s##t store if you are doing deliveries here with 53ft.
The vegetables and fruits are fresh and we don't do bulk buying here if we don't want to, they usually have deals going on pet food
An excellent store to do grocery shopping in Kingston. The store has almost all that you need (and more). You do not need to go searching around for anything as the store is neatly kept and the layout is easy to follow. Loblaws has done a fantastic job in keeping all departments up to date and standard; where it is worth the trip for the in-store bakery and sales on most grocery and frozen food items. Overall, very positive experiences thus far and many more to come!
Not a bad supermarket. Miss extra floods, though.
It's a really nice new supermarket! Really cool selection of meat, premade stuff, mildly pretentious juices, and they've even got some sushi! Prices are better than the IGA or Fresh Street, so if you're in Dundarave or Ambleside, try this out. For Asian stuff, though, Osaka is still better.
Love to hang around with friends and have food to eat
Must go
I find most items over priced but they do have good sales. I like the Joe Fresh section.
Nice Presentation..but a bit overpriced. Fruit and vegetables aren't as fresh as other grocery stores. Sometimes rotten.
Lots of parking. Generally, the store is beautiful, good lighting, clean floors, huge variety of quality foods and beverages. Also, some prepared foods, salads, hot food, etc.. 5 stars, if the prices were lower.
This place is way better than Metro. They have a huge variety of things for a low price.
Low selection unless less your looking for trendy foods!
Really massive store, great selection, friendly staff. Parking lot is an absolute disaster though
The sales clerk in the morning ...she's not that too patient to customer like me..Her facial expression is not too friendly.she seems always mad...she's not supposed to be in that very early work duty.
Good place to visit if you need to buy food, vegetables, and snacks. It’s expensive compared to other shops in this area, but the quality is good!
I love lawblaws
Good selection of deli and fresh hot to go items
Store was very dirty and the staff putting stuff away on the shelves were pushy and unsafe as they were pulling pallets and pushing carts around. Cashiers selling beer never ID'ed anyone going thru the line was kind of surprised as very strict in NB for the wine sales as cashiers typically ID everyone.
Had an interaction with the floor manager at this location, and it was just awful. I dont personally recommend buying anything from this location since the value of customer clearly does not mean anything to these people.
It has everything you need to do your groceries and more. It also has a pharmacy. Great staff at the pharmacy and in the grocery store also has backed goods and a deli.you can also get your photo's done or do it yourself photo.
Higher end grocery store. They have the click and collect where you can order your groceries online. Great eat in area too.
Clean and modern grocery store with all the amenities you expect. It's nearby many other places to shop and has ample parking.
Loblaws is amazing. Great produce and their bakery section is huge with so much variety!
Really expensive compared to all the neighbouring groceries
Lots of quick serve ready to eat items. The chicken strips I had were really good, but the onion rings they gave me were like chewing on leather and tasted terrible. I didnt shop, so I would just list my review as incomplete. Just ok based on my meal.
Clean, beautiful, high end store, I love the cheesecake there.
Polite and friendly
Two ladies working in the hot food area were absolutely miserable. The one who was helping me was rolling her eyes while I was deciding what I'd like(which only took a matter of 30 seconds by the time she approached me). She put my food on the counter and darted right to the back before I could ask for cutlery. I asked the other lady for cutlery and once again met with more eye rolling and condescending attitudes. Otherwise the store and other staff were pleasant despite the Easter rush.
Good shopping experience, we'll organized and clean, and now that some of the items have come down in prices, I'll be shopping there more often.
Produce here is horrible, many things are still on the shelf and are already going bad. Meat department has a pathetic selection and is ridiculously overpriced. Prices change from one day to the next, find a good deal then go back the next day to get more and it's nowhere to be found, and no one working there knows what happened or shows any willingness to want to help you. I know you're miserable and you hate your job, but my business pays your salary so show a little pride. Do not shop here unless you have to, and even then you should go to metro down the street.
I usually do my grocery shopping here in the morning times I just pick up a few things but for the most part the prices are pretty high compared to Food Basics. But they offer more plant-based food I mean the process plant-based food so that's what I like about it so in this case this is better for yummy treats. Oh and almond milk is $2 cheaper for the 3.9 L because the Walmart 3.9 liter jug is $8 and something cents.
Love the store
a little pricey but the staff is very friendly and helpful so it makes the trip worthwhile!!
Wanted to pick up some cat food, $3.00 pick up fee, will go next door to Petsmart and pick up for free.
Why is the vp setting up an office in the massive cooking school and leaving the hourly folks with a tiny little room? How is it that loblaws can scam Canada with price fixing and hidden money in tax shelters but cant pay their hourly people BETTER during this crisis? Shame on You loblaws
Great Service
Great bakery, and unique groceries you can't find elsewhere
Great Deals on PC Optimum App based on the items you usually shop. Very insightful!
Great layout. Good cheese, meat and veg selections
Long line up and only one cashier open. I love the setup and the selection, but the service leaves lots to improve on.
Absolute trash food and several staff are unvaccinated
Probably the most beautiful food shopping experience. Wow!
This is my favourite grocery store in Metro Vancouver. It is very spacious and clean. The food at deli is of very high quality, but is priced very reasonably. Amongst the soups I saw the other day were lobster bisque, and wild salmon chowder (made with salmon from their fish section)... yum. Great cheese selection, and their butcher section is just as good as any butcher shop on the North Shore. All they need is a permit to sell alcohol... although one of the best BCL locations is a few doors down. The staff is very friendly.
The prices are higher than some of the other grocery store chains but the store itself is huge and has a lot of variety. I especially like the optimum points program and the student discounts on every Tuesday (although it can get crowded).
Loblaws on rideau st a good variety of goods, really good pharmacy , really good delis, and meat counters, always clean , good location
Really easy to get in and out quick. Great parking, quick check out. PC products are usually of equal or greater quality than average products
edit: Hands down worst sushi in town. Dry, tasteless and artificial. Any grocery store that offers 50% markdowns is fine by me!
First I really liked this store because of variety of products. You can really find there what you need. I enjoy shopping there but I gave 2 stars because I always find expired products!! It’s a shame! Sometimes I forget to look at the expiration date and only at home see that the product is expired...
Great selection of produce. Expensive
Love this Loblaws, it's close to home. All the staff are good at their jobs, cashiers, department managers, pharmacy????
I love this Loblaws, at the Kingston Center. The staff are always cheeful, helpful, and patient. They handle covid precautions, protocols, and guidelines, superior to other grocery stores. They protect their staff, and customers as much as possible. They are willing to budget for Covid, and spend the money to do it properly. I frequently purchase, and consume Presidents Choice products from here. I am always happy with PC products, especially. They have a wide variety of different cultural foods, organics, freshly cut/prepared fruit/vegetable trays, salads, charcuterie trays/snacks, bakery, deli, fried chicken/whole chickens etc. To go, cosmetics, hygeine, household items, and other enjoyable shopping, as well. Onsite pharmacy, and an area staffed to accommodate local gardeners are other reasons I visit this particular Loblaws, frequently. Their flower arrangements, and assortment of specialty plants are always beautiful, and rival many local expensive florists, in the Kingston area. They even have a Starbucks, on site. Loblaws, at the Kingston Center, also has a wonderful program to help curb waste, and hunger. They take food that is close to expirery, but still in great condition, and they put it up for sale instore/online. Prices on this food is dramatically lower than usual. I think this is great! They designate these products in a fridge, located in the customer service area. After you have ordered your discounted food, you access it in that designated fridge. I think this is great for students, individuals on budgets, individuals struggling to feed themselves due to inflation, or for whatever reason. I could also see the older population using this service, as well. I think it allows anybody, who normally wouldnt be able to afford a three layer gourmet chocolate cake, the ability to include it into their groceries for a fraction of the price, for example. I am looking forward to using this service myself, after learning about it the other day. I also learned that Loblaws holds local cooking classes, upstairs to individuals who sign up. You pay a small fee, and you learn how to cook good nutritious meals that are budget friendly. You get to enjoy the food you cook also. I am going to try this myself soon, as well. Loblaws in Kingston also has a Goodlife Fitness Centre upstairs. Also clean public washrooms locked upstairs are a godsend! Thank you very much Loblaws! I love you!! Lol; )
Likes to close before the designated time. Don’t trust the posted times.
I am from out of town and love shopping here. Great selections of food and helpful staff. The lady in the deli was especially helpful in helping me pick out the cheese I needed.
Normal big box grocery shopping. Clean store, fast checkout. Easy parking.
I'm a loyal PC shopper and frequent PC chain stores. I was horrified that my daughter was traumatized and accused of shoplifting this afternoon because she was profiled by the color of her skin. She was doing self check out and the person monitoring checkouts was scrutinizing her only. She asked if all items were scanned and my daughter told her she could look at the items and counter check. Instead she reprinted the receipt and had the male security run after her in the parking lot confronting her and embarassing her in front of people we know. The receipt showed a charity contribution. Simple common sense will tell you that if a person contributes to a charity, they wouldn't go out of their way to steal groceries. After embarassing and shaming my daughter, even when everything was alright and in order there wasn't even an apology. It is quite unfortunate that this store has racist practices which has been unlike any experience we've had anywhere on the PC system.
Great. Nice to pick up wine. Always enough checkouts available.
Nice big clean store but often the check out lines are very long
Never enough staff at cash. Long wait times - I don't understand why they can't schedule staff for busy periods such as 4-6pm after work. Every cash is lined up tonight at 6:05 and I waited 25 minutes in the one and only EXPRESS line to buy 12 items. No joke. I timed it
Not my favorite Loblaws but it is the one closest to me. A decent store that carries a decent variety of products and you should find what you need
Like this place wish we had one up here in salmon arm
Store has a very nice selection and helpful staff.
Definitely some sort of price discrimination here which makes sense because of it's location and almighty capitalism. I've been to some other loblaws stores that are at least slightly cheaper. Customer service is great though! But if you're cost savings like me, wouldn't recommend though
Very clean and well organized but staff need some improvement most of the time i find them not smiling and rude.
It's right close by my home. The produce is usually top drawer. The meat selection is usually outstanding. Sometimes deals can be had in most departments.
This a good place but certain grocery items little expensive. Could be brighter in certain areas like deli. People helpful
Very average loblaws. Big store located close to a bus station. Student discounts available on Tuesdays.
I understand the need for social distancing but have a seperate lineup for express. There are marks on the floor for it. We got in line and your guy told us we had to get in the main line first!? We left our 4 items to go somewhere else!
Good selection. Produce is a bit pricey. Good display of merchandise.
Store layout is very efficient and a wide selection of goods
There is a rude shop assistant and have tendency of racist. Refused to answer my question about goods and than chat with other customers with enthusiasts even though she does not need to buy anything form her counter.
Good
I love Loblaws. A good variety of brands and prices. It can get overwhelmingly busy on student discounts days and some weekends but its overall pretty good flow throughout the store. Honestly, my only complaint is that they run out of basil sometimes
FRICKMIN SICK I got groceries and they were a fair value and high quality BROCC WAS LIT
Had a poor customer service experience recently. The way it was handled however, was exceptional. Within an hour of submitting an online complaint, I received a call from a store manager who was very apologetic and sincere about customer retention. This manager was able to turn a negative experience completely around. 5/5
Dis-interested staff. Prices appear to have been significantly increased in the last 45 days.
Love that I can find specific items, like tostadas, that are not common in other stores. I went on a weekday morning and there were very few customer so I was in and out very quickly.
Probably my favorite grocery store to check out in London. Good selection of produce,, cheese and meats! Definitely on the pricier side products however grocery store is always looking immaculate and the staff are friendly.
The pharmacy here has gone drastically downhill. Never answers the phone fills the wrong prescriptions and new staff is rude
Nice place to go if you don't like to get bothered with over zealous security
e
You get what you pay for, may be little more pricier to shop here but much better quality meats and fruits. Best steak in town
to whom it may concern, my wife and i often go to loblaws on rideau street and are not impress with the service at the cash. we've noticed that they are not the friendliess , a simple hello would be nice and a thank you for shopping at loblaws. on a recent shopping trip we asked the cashier for a bag we only had two item to put in the bag and she just shoved the item aside and had to grab the bag myself and put them in. the point is the staff could be more professional at there job. I think managers should take more pride in their work and check on their employees from time to time. thank you
-Size: large and spacious -Items: has most food items you would think of as well as many other household items -Price: Some great deals around the store, otherwise standard pricing. -Quality: fresh food, clean store -Lines/wait: short queues for what seemed like a short staffed store -Staff: Very friendly but could use more staff. I spent a while looking for someone to ask a quick question. When found and asked, they are very happy to help. Overall great experience, I started going there for groceries now
Fresh vegetables are displayed poorly and are always less than fresh and expensive. This is an expensive store. No Frills has better vegetables and much fairer prices.
prices and quality of everything was suprising. definitely will go again
First time to this particular store. Very clean, great layout, fantastic selection of deli and baked goods. Downside, higher price tag, some eye popping differences, on most products compared to other grocery retail stores.
Great place to shop, customer service was great, definitely will go back.
Love going here for sandwiches and regular groceries alike. Also while the flower selection is average, their customer service is incredible - in particular Phillip did an outstanding job servicing our flower selection and wrapping needs. Made for a great table centerpiece. Thanks Phillip!
Huge with great selection. However they need to do a little better with quality control on the produce.
Served by a "courteous" cashier, much appreciated. I worked at (no frills) for 10 yrs. It was a "great" experience! Meet people from (all walks) of life. Take care!
I just bought a sandwich and water, but not too busy.
Apparently not enforcing mask mandate. Not enough cashier's, very long lines
Lavazza Coffee Stand not open 3pm on Dec.30. Went to Starbucks instead. Ordered potato wedges which were greasy and soft and there was no ketchup in the deli. Hello this a grocery store with plenty of ketchup. Attendent said no ketchup after I paid for the greasy wedges.Calzones are mainly bread dough with a little bit of filling. Very unappealing. Treated rudely by the floor manager who pounced on me and opened my bags at the check stand as he thought I was stealing. Never have used self checkout in Canada before as I was visiting from USA. I left feeling humiliated. Left the greasy roast chicken on the check stand and went shopping elsewhere. Horrible customer service. Go to the USA to learn customer service as we simply are the best at it.
Great store. Lots of healthy options to choose from.
Though pricy you can count on freshness and quality.
I love this loblaws and they have been great every single time! One time they forgot my delivery and even sent me a $25 gift card to make it right the next day! Talk about customer service!
Predatory pricing, they have good pricing on some items on other items they are 50% higher than real Canadian superstore
Very clean. Staff are easy to find and checkout is pretty quick too
Holy hell, best chicken burger I've had for five dollars, including a side and dip. Delicious!
Convenient location. Butcher counter is helpful and burger patty choices were fantastic.
Stock is minimal on many items. I went for 5 items and could not buy two of the 5 (0 stock). Annoying.
Always lots of good food and cute baby stuff at Joe fresh
Large selection of groceries
Competative prices. Good selections.
Great service... Great selection. Beer after hours can't go wrong.
I usually shop at city market park royal. Many of the staff are unfriendly. Cressida ,The supervisor is very rude and disrespectful. The store is good, but customers have a bad experience because of the staff.
Great store. Very clean. Lots of space. Great service and selection.
Love this place. The prepare foods are fresh and tasty. The produces and meats are the best. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Clean, innovated and almost a one stop shop.
Amazing experience great staff always fresh produce!
I have shopped this store all through the pandemic. I was there today and now we line up at our own prerogative. Not cool! Myself and three other customers not happy with this arrangement. Bring back the TV that tells you which cashier to go to or a person directing that. Don't feel as safe as what I have for the last year and a half!
Nice layout, lots of seasonal items
Good service
it was too bad meat shop, the man was thrre was too rude, i have never seen before i and my family never go there for buy
As a person that purchases groceries at the store: it's always busy and the prices are outrageous. As someone in the community that reaches out to this store for event sponsorship: great, they have provided cake, and other supplies to community associations. 100% Corporate Social Responsibility.
Always good
Well arranged shopping/eating counters
They seem to wait until late Saturday to restock shelves. I have gone multiple times on weekend when they are out of items so I had to go to other stores to finish shopping. It is easier to shop at one place so now I just go to the other grocery store. It seems to me that it would make sense to have fully stocked shelves ready before the weekend.
Good layout and clean; however, I have noticed that their prices are starting to creep up compared to other stores.
Meat is reasonably priced but everything else is overpriced compared to other stores.
All from the imagination of a thousand years of hard enjoyable work. ????????????
This is a really great supermarket. One of the best in Ottawa. There is a wide variety of items in all the departments. The President's Choice line is second to none. The produce, meat and bakery are always filled with the freshest products. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Loblaws for all of your shopping needs.
Lots of fresh variety Produce and meats are good quality when I go too
Large store with good selection. Lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. Beer is now sold here.
Good
Big store. Lots of choices. Open all the time. Parking available but, make sure you get your ticket validated to get out of parkade.
Indoor parking is cool!
Very disappointed, their ready made food selection was almost empty and they were not preparing anymore food. This was at 5 PM and I was not the only costumer that left empty handed.
Very nice place and ambience. You can find almost everything here. Quality of vegetables is good. Can even find indian snacks here. It is just a little bit costlier than food basics though.
I work near the fanshawe park road location so I get their hot lunch often. Every single time the ladies working will see me and blatantly ignore me, and when I finally get someone to help me they are so incredibly rude and are not shy about showing it. They act like I'm terribly inconveniencing them by asking for my food, it takes like 10 minutes to get anyone to come help. They practically throw your food at you and when you ask them if you can pay there they sigh loudly and say yep and sulk over to the till. I'm sorry but why work there if you're so miserable doing your job? The only employee that is friendly and professional is the man with a big beard (not sure of his name)
While I shop here a lot and enjoy doing so, I'm giving it a 1 star rating because of the amount of expired food I find here. I find so much expired food here it is unbelievable. Dairy products, seafood, chocolate... Expired. I used to go out of my way and give the expired products to the manager, now I just throw it on the floor so that no one buys it. I also contacted head office several times.
I dont care for the hot food section anymore you buy a meal and have to pay for dipping sauce to what a rip off every other place give you atleast one with your they getting so cheap anymore.
Clean big... expensive. Beef is gold plated!
One of the nicest and best layed out Loblaws I have been too.
Good selection of fresh meats, and good sale items. Good place for a deli item and a soup on a cold winter day. Good selection of breads and good deal on bagels.
Great staff and the produce is great
Nice place and good meat at good price
The food is super fresh - bit expensive but worth it.
Beautiful, but expensive. Makes grocery shopping a treat. I only come in for a few specialty items once in a while.
Very busy supermarket! Amazing food!
Friendly staff open 24 hours
Like this place a lot! Very helpful and friendly staff.
Large selection of all kinds of groceries. When we visited there was no staff at the deli department, so we had to go and ask for someone to be called there. Staff were ok. The liquor store staff were very friendly and engaging.
Extremely poor handling of lines for check-out
Three times now the chicken is bad. Bought 2 six pack chicken breast. One was bad. That's the third time. Bought ground turkey. Looked fine. When I open it smelled rotten. I don't know what the hell is going on there? But snap the hell out of it. And do your jobs professionally. Do you job or just shut the place down.
I usually purchase here and I like here. The price is friendly and the environment is nice. I like to buy some pickled beef and pork every time I go there.
Amazing store! They have everything you could possibly need! Very clean and friendly employees.
They always have what I need & the staff are very friendly.
I like shopping @ loblaws but prices are little too high, but isn’t it like that every you go shopping these dayz………….etc…..
Arrived at 10:09pm. Made selections including beer. Got in checkout line about 10:13 3-4 ahead of me. Abandoned food and drink and cart at 10:26 in order to catch last bus. Loblaws lost a sale and I lost a good meal. I recommend Metro and Stone City Ales for late food and beverage purchases
Was hoping to just pick up a sandwich, and was also in a big hurry. NOBODY AT THE COUNTER OR TO HELP OUT in any way!!! Had to leave. Hardly any sandwich selections to speak of. Won't be back.
Big store very confusing, but staff is great
I dropped by the Loblaws Pharmacy about 11:30am to inquire about getting a flu shot. There was a constant stream of people dropping off and picking up prescriptions. There were 3 people working and said to come back in about 20 minutes. I returned promptly and within seconds the pharmacist called my name. Elena had a wonderful personality and was particularly upbeat and friendly. She thanked me for coming in for the vaccine. I discovered that she does about 50 shots a day, works from 9am to 4pm 4 days a week, answers phones, fills prescriptions and talks with customers all day long. The ladies that work at the Masonville Pharmacy should all be commended on what a great job they do in taking care and protecting us. Thank you for everything you do.
Could have larger organic section, otherwise top tier
Went to purchase groceries. It was fresh & good. Price was on the higher side so reduced a star for the score.
Prices just keep going up and up. A box of cereal is over 7 dollars now. Go to Wallmart and it's still 4 dollars. What's up with that Loblaws!!!!
My friend and I were shopping in the area and 10 years ago everything was different. The Loblaws is much bigger now and expands into where the mall used to be. Very friendly staff helped us find our way.
Open 24 hours. Stairs to get in, unsure where the ramp is. Store was reasonably clean. Checkout was fast.
The manager Lizz is very rude for no reason. The store is fine but if you find an error on your bill and need to talk to a manager just pray that she’s not there.
The Park Royal Loblaws is expensive. Look to get your fresh produce elsewhere like Persia Foods on Marine Drive near 15th. Even Wallmart in North Van is better or Kin's market.
Very expensive store for very average product. Might as well go to Whole Foods.
Found lots of fruit flies in the dried fruit container and showed this to staff, they didn't do anything about it and shrugged it off. A bit gross. Would avoid the open container stuff.
If I could give them 10 stars I would. Used their grocery pick up service. The website was easy to navigate, their communication superb and the staff both on the phone when I got there and the person bringing the food out could not have been better. Would highly recommend this service, not just now during the time of Corona, but on an on-going basis. Kudos Loblaws!
Very good place for shopping. Customer services are very friendly and they always welcomed customers with smiles for helping.
Was in a bind with my catering business last night and spoke to a manager there named Will who went out of his way to help us get the produce we needed for a last minute event the next day!! All the employees were great, store is always clean. I will be back!
This loblaws is a bit of a drive away from my usual location but it’s got a whole lot more to choose from...but...where’s the seafood section? I either completely missed it or they just don’t offer one? Bought some lamb chops and short ribs from here two days ago and they are superb. The Australian lamb wasn’t gamey at all and had the perfect fat to meat ratio for that spot on flavouring.
The selection is great and USUALLY the staff too....... but lately some of the staff is just cold, rude, and literally throws my produce in the bags really rough. Terrible!!! Self-checkout for me thanks!!
They dont have a Joe Fresh at the Rideau location. Limited options. Produce is OFTEN starting to turn. However the staff are very friendly. Love the underground parking. Student days here (tues and thurs) it can be packed. So be prepared if you are in a hurry. Bathroom here is quite dirty for anyone interested.
Well this is my favourite store I can get anything I need and everyone is kind and helpful thank you front line workers ????????
This store is always so busy and the lines (to pay) are way too long, especially during these covid times... It’s nice that they offer student discounts, but their prices are higher than at other stores - which is clearly due to the location, but still... Though the store is relatively big, I don’t find it has the best selection. The produce and meat sections are pretty small and limited. They do, however, have a complete medication/vitamin/supplements aisle and I find it handy that they sell other households items and small appliances. Overall, it’s a busy, overpriced store that lacks a good product selection... ok to pick up a few items, but should be avoided for bigger grocery hauls.
This store is huge! You can find anything there. I'm especially attracted to their dessert selection.
Great selection of fresh produce. Meat products are way too expensive in this store. I shop at a few different supper markets in Kingston and Loblaws is typically the most expensive and probably the same across Canada. This store is convenient and stays open late. It also sells beer and wine.
Great under ground parking and easy to manoeuvre... Great store... Was my first time here (family day) everyone else was closed... Staff were friendly
I had the WORST customer service experience I’ve ever received in my lifetime at this store. If I could give this review zero stars I would. I did my grocery order online through PC Express to do curbside pick up so that I could conveniently pick up my groceries without having to get my baby out of the car to do a big shop. When I arrived, I pulled into the curbside pick-up parking spot and called the phone number it told me to call. The operator came on and said it was “unavailable” so I had to get my baby out and go into the store. When I talked to a sales associate, Lori Fay, about my frustration with the situation, she was extremely rude and lacked any sort of tact or empathy. When the personal shopper dealing with my order came, She proceeded to tell her sales associate that I was “mad that I had to bring my baby inside????” while rolling her eyes and diminishing my experience right in front of me. When I called her on how rude she was being, she denied it and argued with me. When I told her that I wouldn’t be shopping here again because of the shocking lack of customer service, she said “That’s fine! Have a nice day!”, Sarcastically. It was mind blowing. When a different lady, the personal shopper (who was nice, I will add) helped me to my car with the groceries, I told her how upset I was with how Lori Fay treated me, I even was in tears about it. I asked her to please let her manager know, so that others wouldn’t have to experience this kind of treatment from an employee. They also forgot some items on my order, even though I payed for them. But I can’t get ahold of the store to let them know! It’s really too bad, because I really liked this store, but this experience really doesn’t make me want to go there again. *** Edited to note that The supervisor, Ryan was very helpful and responsive with this, he called me the next day personally and apologized, and offered me a gift card. When my husband went to go get our groceries, Ryan personally came over and took care of everything for us, as well as an additional gift card. This was very kind, and Ryan went above and beyond to make right the previous experience. Thank you, Ryan! This is the kind of customer service that was lacking previously, so I appreciate it.
Bought their panko chicken and it was completely raw on the inside
ok
They’re up late and so am I, cant complain about 3am groceries. Prices are a little more than other parts of the city but thats to be expected in downtown ottawa. Free parking is also a huge benefit. Selection is everything you need and more
Clean well stocked and they don't move stuff around all the time so you can find it.
Great selection, good meats.
I find this store to be poorly stocked frequently. It also doesn't have enough cashiers working and the self check outs are atrocious
The clerk at checkout number 7 does need to be told to be courteous. No, I am not expecting a conversation including how my day went and if I found everything I was looking for. At 11.15 this morning, after waiting in line for 20 minutes (no complaints here) to be told rather rudely that I must NOT place my grocery bag on the surface along with my groceries is unacceptable. There is a polite way of speaking and this was not it. As well, perhaps a notification would help? I would post a five star review if it were not for this lady.
Some of the people who are working with loblaws they are not friendly i dont like this store
Awesome place to shop other then hard to find help when needed. Although management stands behind all products sold within the store.
Fun shopping experience. There's alot of choice in regards to products, albeit this is reflected in price. Looks very nice as well.
I always shop here as I live close and had great experience except today at their ready served counter they were quite rude.Rolling eyes as they couldn’t understand what I was pointing at and when the more senior staff came to help instead since the other one could not take it anymore and she kept rolling her eyes so this lady says well mam we have no idea where you are pointing at as My finger was on the glass in front of the chicken. The first young lady kept looking at me in disapproval way.I was the only one in line so they weee taking too long to hand me my food. They both refused to bend down and look where I was pointing at and I had no other way to point. Please loblaws I have always enjoyed your store please teach your ataff that non verbal communication can be much louder than verbal. As this happened at 2:30 pm today
Security by the doors made me feel nervous about shopping knowing they had to hire security for a reason. It's a usual loblaws, well lit, variety of brands for every price range and budget and there is always some sort of produce on sale.
Tuesdays every week show student proof ID card and save 10% off groceries! Very good deal!
Loblaws is like the cream of the crop of PC brand. I haven't been here since I was a kid but it is way over priced. I'm sure the produce and meat are better quality than No Frills but it seems a little over the top. The staff here are probably the slowest I've ever seen it seems like they're never in a rush to get anyone through the line. Definitely a high-end grocery store whatever that means. I wouldn't shop here unless I had to. They do have a good selection from close to mobile to other services offered in store however. The mobile shop staff were pretty helpful and you get PC points on top of whatever deals are already being offered by the carriers.
Okay, does anyone know how to find the points offered, let's say on PC dogfood until the end of the year? When you click on the optimum points logo beside product nothing, search shows nothing, inquiries is resolved and nothing is actually resolved. Is it to force us to go to the store in Omicron?
Always have better deals then the rest of the stores i find
I like this place because I live near it
A very large, newer grocery store. Very clean and has a great selection. Staff at checkout were friendly and helpful.
I love the 1stop shopping at Loblaws. Unfortunately with the pandemic you can't access certain areas like kitchenware and Joe Fresh apparel...bummer. But I like the variety of produce and the health food section.
10% off on Thursdays for students meant it was easier to budget healthier foods into my diet!
not too bad ...the lady pushing g the carts back to the store isn't very nice
The customer service at the customer service desk is bad. I'd be standing and waiting to be helped, and the staff would be talking to each other like my time is not important. Sometimes, noone is there, and staff in the area won't call anyone to the desk.
Decent selection of food but not many offers. Shopping early evening is better for value.
good
Its a Covid-spreading plague box I've seen people without masks, and a staff member who seemed to be a supervisor, not wearing it over her nose The staff are so-so knowledgeable, and the store is clean The security guards are usually chatting with each other or often completely MIA, so doesn't seem like they are ok at their jobs. Bakery has great options
Great store, usually have some good deals on meat. Well stocked. Friendly helpful staff. Lots of parking.
I did curb side pick up and it only took 10 mins
Served me my beer at 9:10am and didn't ask for I. D which is good because I'm 36 lol. They always been good serving me. It's a pleasure.
It's open for business but won't let you use the washroom? Goto Farmboy. They still let you use a washroom.
Not much produce you choose from but theres probably everything else you can think of.
Writing this review while in line. Beginning roughly 2 months ago, this store began severely limiting the amount of cashiers open at any given time. Even during the day on weekends and during weekday evening rush hour periods, theres now only 3 tills open. You cannot take things through the self checkout if you have an item with a discount sticker unless there's a customer service rep available to validate, which there often is not. I dont know if this is a management issue or more likely, a corporate decision, but it sucks for the customers and will probably result in higher staff turnover. The selection is good, pc offers and discounts are great. Staff themselves have always been excellent and I feel sorry for the grief from frustrated customers they probably have to deal with now which is totally not their fault.
No line ups opens early morning 7AM had great sales found every thing I needed for a recipes
This place was clean and modern. No wait at checkout.
Clean store, but terrible prices. Another garbage corporation, but at least they have solid produce? ????????♂️
Well stocked, full service supermarket
Good selection and open 24 hours. More expensive than walmart however.
Blackberries are always spoiled!
Excellent place, would rather it being 24hr again
Only shop there because I had a gift card - too expensive
There meat is usually overpriced ... But they have beer and really nice produce
This could be such a great store - clean, bright, great selection but it all falls apart when you see the line up for the check outs. I just left the store after yet again lining up for 15-20 mins to check out - only 4 of 10 available lanes were open, which seems to have become pretty typical at this store. Even the self checkout line-up had at least 20 people waiting. This was far from an isolated incident - it has become the norm in my experience. This is my local grocery store and it would be very convenient but I have started trying out other stores for this reason alone.
Disgusted at millions donated by the Federal Liberals to the store chain that fixed bread prices. Protest...DONT SHOP HERE until they give our $ back!
All all produces like vegies and fruits are fresh, while some of the other items like olive oils etc are way too expensive compared to other places, close to 1.5 times higher. 1 L Olive oil was $13.00 as against $9.00 in other places I knew Loblaw is little bit expensive, but didn't expect that much.
So many choices. Great prices..
I used to buy breakfast, food, and groceries everyday from Loblaws until I witnesses the worst customer service I have ever seen towards my 80 years old grandma. My Grandma doesn't speak English very well, she went in to quickly grab Bread from the bakery, she also asked the staff member if they sold cigarettes. The staff member in the bakery told her that they did not but she could go to London Drugs next door to buy them. Before leaving the store to go next door my grandma was stopped by the "Store Manager" and was harassed, she waved me down from outside to come and help her. This "Manager" was holding my poor grandma back and screaming that he was going to Ban her from the store. This was incredibly embarrassing and unnecessary behavior towards a customer over a misunderstanding, my grandma was not trying to steal anything. Even the staff member from the bakery came to explain that she had told my grandma to go next door to London Drugs. We paid for the bread and left, my grandma was terrified of this man screaming at her in a language she doesn't know well, surely a "Manager" should have more patience and communication skills if they are to have that title. I will NEVER shop at this store again even though it is the most convenient grocery store, I'd rather go to Whole foods and pay more to be treated with respect.
Line ups are too slow. 15 minutes in line is crazy
Tooooo expensive. But the people shopping there are much more fashionable than at.your average NoFrills.
Great Service Friendly Staff and Excellent Food
They carried all Western products they're kosher and no fillers, very fresh fruits and organic vegetables and Free from antibiotics meats. .
Food is amazing here
Everytime I go for their meat sales there is none left. So frustrating for meal planning. They seem nonchalant that this always happens and feels like a scam. Front staff is excellent but stopped going at all.
Great selection of produce
I just near there bus stop.
Bit pricey but awsome selection of foods
Good quality all round, but not cheap. For the best deals shop last minute and get 50% off food for that night.

I do most of my shopping here, friendly staff.
Good and clean. Some items cheap, others a little expensive.
They are why I am obese
Fast and efficiently run cashes.
An Indian Security guy follows people to their cars at the parking lot at night, asking them to pull down your mask so I can take a photo!!! VERY CREEPY!!! VERY UNSAFE!!!
Purchased a store Caesar salad for a crazy price of 15.99. Got home to find there was no dressing or croutons in with the kit. You would think for that price they would include what you needed to make the salad. Only reason I purchased it was because I was in a rush and if I would have know I could have gotten a lettuce and make it myself for a fraction of the money. I was just lucky I happen to have the dressing and croutons at home to complete this was over priced salad. Much better COMPLETE salad kit at Costco for just over $10.00. Store is way over priced
Great selection of foods and cheeses!
This store has lots of great staffs but if you don't want your ruined avoid the bakery department. They are not only very friendly, they talk like someone having menstrual pain. I asked them for an item which the first person said rudely it will take 20 to 30 minute. Ok I'll keep shopping and come back, after 30mins it's not ready understandably the first 30mins was a guess. How long now, another bakery staff said I don't have to wait for it and it'll take another 20mins cause the bread is hot and can't be cut, again reasonable excuse. After then, I ask do you want extra 20mins cause the time again has passed, she said another 10 minutes. After all the time taken, no apology of whatsoever from them. After all I decided to wait I guess.
Loblaws is good clean store with a wide selection of various food items. It's nice to have someone bag your groceries and that way during restrictions (covid) the lines at the cash move faster. Alot of their prices are more than I could pay for items and this has gotten worse recently as with other grocery stores. They do have good sale prices and discount prices. The points system can be helpful if it doesn't tempt you to spend too much.
The meat kid named Chris provided terrible service! Was not friendly and was not helpful at all! Do not recommend going to loblaws to get your meats, poultry or fish!!!
Best cheese selection and a variety of ready meals, cake and bakery selection offers many reasonable selections for any occasion.
Good place to shop lots of check out lanes so your never in line to long and fresh food as well
A good store with great prices and selection. The vegetables are not as good or as fresh as elsewhere though. Lots of on sale and half=price items in the bakery and throughout the store. Helpful courteous staff in the meat department. Checkout cashiers and bagging staff are hit and miss. Getting home and finding that my meat and frozen foods were lumped in with my fresh spinach and freshly baked baguette was disappointing.
Friendly cashiers, fast paced scanning items
Their curbside pickup is an operation of excellence and serves as the gold standard! The staff are always pleasant and never have any issues. Well done and keep up the good work!
Cool shopping experience, something for everyone. A bit pricey than others and the customer sales rep need a bit of training.
Love this store! Very clean, lots of options and variety nice atmosphere. Friendly, helpful staff!
If I could give zero stars, I would. Worst interaction with a lady with dark hair and light eyes working in the self checkout area. She was absolutely vile!
Very clean and well stocked. Also, they never bother me to wear a mask, which, for the record, I have never once worn a mask. Nobody should but hey, to each their own. I will exercise my rights and practice my free will till I die.....a free man.
Everyone there is very helpful. They must have up-lifting management And yes, they are more pricey than other grocers but the staff makes up for it. And being 24/7 can get pretty handy. You get what you pay for
Great one stop grocery store for finding everything you need. Great first stop to make if you are entertaining. Allot of high quality dips, spreads, meats and bread. The only reason i did not give 5 stars is because it is very pricey and there are rarely enough cashiers to meet the demands of customers.
All good mdudes~ always choose the self checkout lines to avoid everyone ????
Good selection. Some cheaper prices. Didn't really see many staff members around the store.
Clean and tidy. Optimally located with other stores.
it's a amazing place for groceries and the people are very nice
The dessert selection was great. Nice store but prices seemed high.
Very nice store well kept, always busy with huge lines and over priced.
Good location, free parking if you shop there.
They did a great job of updating the store. Great selection of meats, cheeses and produce is typically very fresh.
Loblaws is my favorite store a bit pricey but great shopping experience
This store was a 4 1/2-5 for our family..until a cashier told my 2 year old grandson to shush she has a headache.. needless to say I ask her for a manager .she replied to me look over there somewhere.. WOW..this I would honestly expect from a younger generation But she was definitely grandmother age. The manager was very apologetic which was great other staff awesome but tonight I went into pickup a couple item's she was working are eye's met and she had the gull to smirk...it truly only takes 1 bad apple..
Great store
Didn't have the items I was looking for in store . PC optimum did not work at check out. Cashier didn't see happy at check out.
Good experience But I do not receive my pc points on line no more even though we fix the problems 2 months ago WHO,S FAULT?
Very clean. They seem to be following covid protocol well. I usually visit around 9:30 to do groceries cus there are barely any people there at that time. All their employees that I've interested with on the floor have been very kind and helpful.
Has everything, well stocked, good layout, mostly friendly staff.
I find this store confusing and not a great selection
Loblaw knocked out of the Park when they did this store... they would have got 5 stars if they cleaned their seating area.. The tables where covered in food and crumbs.. felt like I was at a well used park bench
5 stars go to Liz and Sarah who are very helpful and kind ladies. Customer service from these ladies are outstanding. Thank you again lovely's and Merry Christmas.
I shop here as much as I can, lots of variety and huge. Never too busy and friendly staff
Always know what to expect here. Fairly good selection. I like getting optimum points
Not only is there a great selection and a fantastic remodel, but we just got caught in a downpour on the way out and the manager was handing out umbrellas for people to use to get to their cars!!! Phenomenal...its the little things that make the difference. That manager should be promoted to corporate!
Excellent store. Very clean. Some of the staff, although overworked ate confrontational.
Not a lot of bananas. They may have changed distributors.
Clean, organized and a well run store, except for the "new line protocol" for COVID19. We couldn't find any signage or direction on where to go to "properly" check out.
Found a wonderful in-store baked whole grain loaf of bread. Will be back for more most likely.
Beautiful well laid out store!
If you are shopping for quality food this is the place to go.
Nice clean grocery store. Has essentially everything you need but definitely a bit more pricey than other grocery stores in London. Typically go here out of convenience. Staff is friendly and helpful as well.
Bate and switch is rife! These guys are masters of it. If you don't check your ticket for discounts, you probably didn't get them! They do things like put up a sign in a row that says "two for one" or "double points on these items". But you don't know which items are included until you get to the cash where you find out that what you picked wasn't included.
Well stocked, great cheese selection, double up sale on now
My favorite place to shop.
Not good at all the person we talked to in the meat departme nt was not what you expect in a high end store like lablaws .
Great bakery staff . I went there to buy a specific bread but I couldn't find out it so I asked a lady who was working on bakery. She found it and gave it to me in a few second.
I visit this store every time I am in London. It has great lunch meats here. I live in a little town so going to this store that has everything is wonderful. They also have clothes there and are priced reasonably. Also very fashionable too. The fresh produce is amazing because they have everything. Can't wait to go back.
Pretty upscale for a cheap selection of products. Only bad thing is that the No Name products here are more expensive than the exact same ones at NoFrills.
Great store ,but for a Saturday should have more cashiers open, line up to cash out way to long.
Little expensive compared to other but quality products
Very large store so it requires more walking. The selection is usually very good and they sell some lines not carried in the store I usually do my grocery shopping at.
Staff are so understanding and helpful.
One of the great supermarket.but it's not much choices
Great deal on top sirloin steaks today!
Service sucks and 2/3 times they never have the ingredients I need (e.g. red onion in summer time).
Convenient don't like their meat, tastes like rubber, cashiers are super. But they meed to get better quality meat especially at the price they charge
One of the best grocery stores on the North shore.
Good place to buy groceries
Clean, groceries are well organized and quick cashier check out stands.
This location is soooo much better than the wonderland south store. Great produce, wide variety and staff that are pleasant and helpful. Worth the extra drive.
Always efficient and well run.
Not happy at all with the line up structure! Blocks up the isles cant even get milk! If any thing it makes social diatancing more difficult. I have been in line for 36 minutes and only half way! Beautifull store but please correct this or I will go elsewhere.....
They always have a great selection of bread and desserts but there are long lines in the checkout.
We are long-time customers of this Loblaws and generally have been happy with the service and product choice. Recently we have become disappointed in the store. We really enjoyed the smoothie juices made by the Loblaws staff. This practice was discontinued. My wife and I are seniors and we choose to do grocery shopping in the middle of the week. It is very disappointing to us that there are only 2 aisles open besides express. There are quite often 4 or 5 people in line with full carts. Come on, let’s be more customer centered and more efficient!
Nice store but no clothes
Friendly staff, open 24/7. Student discounts are Tues and Wed, note they end around 11:50 PM when they reboot the registers
Roomy store. Has everything you could need. Includes a Joe Fresh, pharmacy, housewares and a large fresh produce area.
Store is clean and stocked well. Staff is polite and helpful.
Great PC express experiences at this Loblaws!
Huge selection, everything you'd need from deli to dry cleaning, grocery and produce.
Sometimes I find the food are little old.
Very beautiful supermarket, it's great place for grocery shopping. It has a bakery baking fresh products.
The store was very crowded because of student discount, and unfortunately many of the products were old and their expiration dates were very close (beefs changed colour from red to dark brown, bread smells) while I bought the same products the before day with date for next week that it was very surprising why they returned the old and unpurchased products to the shelves, while they were not on the shelves the before day! Also, in spite of the crowding of the store, only one cashier was active, and the remaining cashiers were for items under 12, which caused the creation of a long queue for items above 12 items.
One of our favourite grocery stores in town. It's especially nice to have a Starbucks there now. We also like the natural foods and products section.
A bit pricey for what it is. The staff are hit and miss in terms of service, but that's probably because the surrounding area is not exactly safe.
Good for basic necessities but expensive.
Good clean store as well as quick checkout experience. Friendly staff.
Very nice but very expensive. Has all the grocery frills you could ask for if that's your thing.
Good people and great place to shop
Not well organized check out. Staff not well trained on cash. Slow and inefficient.
Large grocery store with reasonable prices and a good beer and wine section.
This is a huge store and not good to drop into if you are in a hurry. Prices are also higher than alot of grocery stores. This store does have a large variety of items to choose from and a bakery where they sell desserts and cakes.
A standard Loblaws, nothing out of the ordinary here. Big store with lots of products at a generally higher price point.
Liked the organization of the stuff.
Multi million dollar company taking 12 million from tax payers dollars for new freezers. Loblaws gets caught price fixing bread! Now they are in court with CRA over millions of dollars of lost tax revenue. They are hiding their earnings in off shore accounts. Overall cost of products are absurd, 12 million dollars for new freezers when this company can easily afford new freezers. Our tax dollars paying for this nonsense! Small business owners who's freezers go on the fritz have to somehow get the capital to replace or fix theirs. This particular individual has had enough and will not be shopping at Loblaws anymore! Shame on you!!!
It's quite hard to find some good items at first, but once you get used to the layout of the place, it becomes easier to navigate.
Awesome and very helpful people work there! Nice service!
Quick lineups. Very efficient at moving ppl through. Covid 19 lineups suck.
Love this grocer, however it wasn't very conducive to shopping carts as they were restocking during busiest time of the day between 5-6pm. Prices are worth it for me to stay, but parents with kids not so much...
Love the free underground parking. Great store
Great location and good selection their deli has a lot of good stuff in it as well!
Usually excellent but today I couldn't find everything I needed and the line-ups to the cashiers were unusually long.
Loblaws is always good place to shop .
Large central grocery store. It is similar to other loblaws. Good selection, its clean.
Even it is a grocery store but it is so cozy
It was very nice. The store was actually a very well organized and clean atmosphere....I enjoyed my shopping experience!!!!
I shop Loblaws only when there is a good sell the store has good quality product but it is expensive I can't afford to shop in the regular basis at Loblaws
Good selection, great location, and wine and beer right in the store. What more can you ask for from a grocery store.
Good selection, some good prices Checkout is under staffed. Long lines, crowded conditions. Unsafe Still too crowded in February
My favourite supermarket.
The best grocery store in town
Great store. Big wide aisles.
Good for groceries. Convenient location
The employees are nice and helpful. The shelves are always stocked and the prices are decent.
City Market Park Royal is my usual spot for groceries. They do a number of things better than the median: 1. Their meat department is great - the staff are from the old butcher shop that was in South Park Royal. They know their stuff and are super friendly. 2. They have great Sunday savings sales. 3. The prices for groceries are solid - not worth driving to find a cheaper price for most things, especially if you buy on sale. 4. Great cheese selection. Overall for quality/price/selection for day-to-day needs, they have it dialed in.
It feels clean and comfortable fresh and healthy but it's pricey
I always buy my birthday cake for work there good price
The baked treats at this Loblaws is one dollar more than the one in Westmount. But other than that, this place is great. Friendly service, wide selection, clean store and good weekly deals.
Prices are a little bit higher but great selection Always lots of lanes open
A bit expensive but opens early and stay open late. The produce is usually in good condition.
Socially distanced shopping in a clean and bright store. I always find sales that keep me coming each week.
Pizza sales arent as good as they used to be, almost always out of lettuce mixes. 24hr is convenient though!
Huge store! Great for groceries, toiletries and much more.
Great place to buy groceries, clean and fresh, prices are ok not the best out there but the quality is amazing...
There trying too milk every cent/penny that they can post Covid Era, prices arent inconsistent, no deals, nothing cheap
Good selection of grocery items but the price is a bit too high. Good thing about this location is that its open 24hrs.
