This place, or at least the young guy I just chatted with, is really tight lipped. Asked about fishing, mainly thinking I’d like to establish a relationship and spend some money on flies to support the local dealer and some attitude.The fishing isn’t rocket science, all I was looking for was friendly service, some flies and to check out what they had for tying material. ——— Thanks for the follow up Nathan. I get it. I worked in a fishing shop too. Hard to be inside on a beautiful day. I’m sure I came off as a little ignorant as well. Edited the review and will try again. Best of the season.

Well what can I say other than I just experienced my very best day dry fly fishing ….. Ever ! Nate has set the bar very high with the day he provided on the river! He is a natural at pointing out spots to hit , rows like a master , super pleasant and knowledgeable! All the boxes checked for what I look for in a fishing guide . Top it off with a great lunch and exquisite scenery! Doesn’t get any better ! Thanks guys , I can’t wait to get out again with you all .

Kimberly Fly Fishing is a great little shop right in the heart of Kimberly, and Nathan Kelly was an excellent guide. We did some lake fishing, caught some nice fish, and lost some even nicer ones! The scenery was amazing, birds chirping, a few rain drops, but a beautiful way to spend a day. Nathan provides a great guiding experience, with stories that are pure entertainment while you're waiting for the fish to bite! I would highly recommend Kimberly Fly Fishing, and owner Nathan Kelly, to anyone in the Kootenay area looking to do some fly fishing.

Not helpful & didn't seem interested actually teaching me how to fish. There's many different fishing guides out here that are a lot more knowledgeable and cheaper.

I just want to say, (I believe her name is Natasha), is one outstanding lady you have working for you. It's about time this shop had a extremely BEAUTIFUL but knowledgeable woman working in the fishing establishment, very polite, outstanding customer service, knows her stuff, and is very easy on the eyes. I'll definitely be coming back, as well as sending all my buddy's that way. Looking is always good. Your a very lucky man. Seriously brother put a ring on it. Cheers ????

The new ownership is great definently turning this shop around! Even tho they were closed i got a hold of the new owner and he met us there opened it up and set us up with some flys to hit the lakes. He definitely knows his flys me and my kids were catching fish all day!! Thanks Kimberley fly fishing

A late season visit to BC following a fantastic break in Kaslo, at the Grizzly Bear Ranch. Booked a days fishing with Kimberley FF & tured up at 9am. Jeff discussed where best to go & we decided on the Bull river. A couple of hours later launched the raft & started down the river on a stunning sunny, clear October day. Water was gin clear, ice blue & flowing nicely, so dry fly it was. The first few drifts showed little activity & Jeff said it was still early & had been a cold night, but would improve. We moved a short way & next cast gave the first cutthroat of the day, a nice fish of about 12 inches. By the end of the day I had landed too many fish to count, & probably lost as many more. The day finished with a fabulous take from the biggest fish of the day. A nice 18 inch cutthroat shot up, took the fly & cleared the water to be accompanied by a roar of "wooow" from both Jeff & myself. Superb! Jeff was a fantastic guide, put me directly on the fish that took the fly enthusiastically, was good company, provided nice quality rods & lines (flying in from the UK with a wife meant suitcases full of her stuff so my fishing gear stayed at home) & made my day on the Bull. This was definitely my best days fishing ever (& I'm 65) & will never be forgotten. I would love to come back earlier in the season & try St Mary's rivers, but not sure when. Certainly this is a team that I would whole-heartedly recommend to give you the experience of a lifetime. 10 out of 10 for Kimberley fly fishing. Thanks guys.

Amazing day catching fish pretty much the whole time. Guide knew where the fish were and shared his knowledge with us. There was a bit of a delay getting going but once we got on the water it was everything we could have wanted in a fishing day.

Had a great time fishing with KFF on the Moyie River. Even due to the early season conditions and overcast weather we caught lots of fish and had lots of fun. Local guide and new owner Nathan knows the area very well and our other guide Jessie was top notch. Would go on a trip with these guys again any time, highly recommended.

Ten of Kimberley's seniors decided to raft down the St. Mary's River. We had two very experienced, fun guides take us in two rafts. We were given safety and rowing instructions while on the lake before heading down the river. It was a lot of fun being part of the steering team!! Great value for the experience. Highly recommend

I would suggest to any one think of going to this “full service fly shop” to re think there choice and head to some where with professionals. There ability to run a business is poor. We drove an extra 3 hours on our day to check out and restock on flys, boots, lines and more, we looked online and went through there website everything indicated they where open. After heading there direction we found the store was closed mid day. It was a waste of gas, time and really crushed our souls. If you are thinking of heading out with them do yourself a favour and drive a bit farther, head to Fernie to work with real fishing guides that understand the business and professional aspect of this great sport. Will never be seen or say anything good about this store. It’s really not hard for a business to change there online hours if they will be closed (it honestly takes 15 second to change your hours on google)

The staff and guides at Kimberley Fly Fishing are fantastic and were a huge help in getting me set up with the new rod and reel I needed! The shop is outfitted with a ton of selection and reputable brands to choose from and the shop staff are happy to help and share their expertise. I’ve been on two guided trips so far (float and walk and wade) and my guides Nathan and Alec both provided fantastic experiences! I highly recommend them for all levels and abilities!

Also I just want to say thank you Natasha the gear you set me up with is killing it on the river. You two are the funniest employees I've dealt with all year, I walk in for flies and walk out with all new gear. Keep up the good work ???? 5 stars all day long.

Great service, very knowledgeable guides caught lots of trout, no complaints if you are planning a fishing trip to the east kootenay give these guys a call you will not be disappointed!!!!
