Purchasing Ground Beef, Sour Cream and Popcorn Kettle Chips. Meat department was well stocked, including delicious mouth-watering 4-packs of steak. We have purchased in the past on several occasions and never been disappointed. The staff were friendly, though their age is reflected in their conversations at checkout. One female employee spoke with us regarding an event the store was promoting, which included a local painter. Overall it was a good experience.

Jonathan Strang is a foul mouthed, extemely unprofessional store owner, that obviously has anger issues. Corporate will be informed of my experience. Avoid this store at all costs! Refer to my other reviews on google, you will see I'm very fair. Also personally I'm very easy going. The same cannot be said for Jon boy. Yes Jon, I AM LOCAL!!

I watched the owner come out of the store this morning and scream at the door greeter about letting her own family walk in without having to read the board or take a sanitized cart. So, its ok for the owners family to just walk in without precautions and spread the virus to us, but we have to follow their rules? First off, she was wrong in her behavior, and if she worked for me, she would have been fired. The owners clearly are inexperienced management, and have no experience in how to deal with issues. They embarrassed themselves , and the man at the door. I wonder if they do that with all their employees. There were a lot of people who heard her, and if that is how she can behave outside..I hate to see how she is with employees inside!

Nice enough store. Clean and good selection for its size. Don't like that meat on sale often isn't identified with a sign and is often beside or mixed in with something similar, not on sale. You need a flyer with you to figure our what is on sale by the price per kg. All other sale items in the store have clearly marked sale tags. A little shady in my opinion!

For many years, the only game in Fenelon Falls has been Sobeys, nice store lots of selection and very expensive!! I dropped into Strang's Value Mart and despite the smaller size, their prices are far better than those at Sobey's. I may just take the extra 10 min drive to do most or all of my grocery shopping in Bobcaygeon

The store is clean the cashiers seem helpful although there is way too much raw food touching without using hand sanitizer. They do a poor job of changing posted prices, often don't update the labels to the current flyer or change it back after the flyer has expired so there's often a surprise at the checkout

Their handling and screening of patrons wanting to come into their store during this current crisis is deplorable. asking people personal questions about if they have been in contact with anybody from certain areas of the town are inappropriate and uncalled for. Other stores in town such as Shoppers Drug Mart, Foodland and even Costco in Peterborough don't ask the questions these people do. I will admit the cashier's inside are friendly however discriminating againstanyone who has been in contact with someone from Pinecrest or case Manor per se is discriminatory at best. These people are not lepers and what about people who have been asked questions and lied.So if somebody is honest how about their dealings they get penalized for it and told they're not welcome in the store. Totally unacceptable.I am blessed to travel all over South Central Ontario and can visit other valu-mart. I would prefer to shop locally but never again at this store.
