It’s a great store for the community it serves. They have plenty of fresh stock to choose from and their prices are clearly displayed. What brings the star rating down is the prices. They are higher than expected. E.g. 2 cases of 12 coke for $12.00. And that’s a multi pack buy. I continue to shop there occasionally and you should too. Just remember prices will be higher than you’re used to.

2 chicken breast, bone in with skin 12.99. Over priced. Can buy the same product in Lindsay for 6.49. Buy a whole chicken for 10. You need to converse to the manager/ owner of this foodland. Its not cottage country area.

The little store that could. Omemee is a small town, so the store is a small town store. You're not getting a superstore selection of vegan speciality items and a few dozen varieties of shellfish... But you will get a solid little produce area, fresh baked bread and a decent run of staples in the meat department that you'll be sorted out. Haute couture it is not, but it's stocked with everything you need to feed the family, and fresh eggs from local farms to boot! Staff is super friendly, and there to help and prices are on par with "city shops". They've recently started stocking some nice little cottage gear; fun signs, water pistols, basic selection of plants - it's a solid little store and a cornerstone in a small town. And remember to bring your Air miles card, or you'll hear about it ;)

Until the new owners took over 3, years ago wede shop here daily. We always hot our lunch here. The staff had all been there a long time. They cared. They were nice people who took their jobs seriously and smiled. When it sold they replaced most of the staff with kids. You can tell they're only there to get paid. The kids hid on us when we came to get our lunch one day. We were very disappointed. It's sad to lose such a great store.

Closest store when camping. Friendly and helpful staff. Meat is always up in the air with what is left when you get there. If you need something for dinner head right in, just dont plan the dinner before you get there or you might be changing it anyway. :)

I live just west of this store. They installed new outdoor lights yesterday. They shine directly into my home, blinding lights.....we cannot look out because of the intense light, as well all the rooms now have very sharp night lighting, not conducive for sleep. Perhaps put a shade over them, they are meant for parking lot lighting, not neighbours!

Picked up from work a roasted chicken because I was lazy that night and some buns. The best chicken we have ever had! Better than loblaws or anywhere. Hubby not fancy on chicken but took sandwiches the next day for lunch!1.00 more but well worth it!!!

I haven't always had great experiences at the Foodland in Omemee, but any time that I have had an excellent time it is because of the staff. I have been going to Foodland here for years and Dan has always been working there, he is a very hard worker, very polite, and extremely knowledgeable. Any time I ask him a question, even one that isn't concerning his department, he seems to have the answer. It is unfortunate that other staff performances take away from the quality of the store, wherever there is slack to be picked up however, once again it seems Dan becomes Superman. It is because of Dan that I keep coming back to Foodland, this guy has made grocery shopping somewhat enjoyable, and that's saying something! Way to go Dano
