Great food and good price
Pricey stuff. Pleasant staff.
Great baked goods and fresh produce
A great place to stop for homemade pie.
We love going here to get the rhubarb sour cream pie. Wife and I enjoy that pie so much, we refer to it as our “pie-roblem”. Absolutely delicious and best served cold. Nice spot to grab other assorted jams, baked goods and a small selection of local vegetables.
Delicious home baked goodies.
Amazing butter tarts
Great fries
They sell great tarts, and pies. Everyone is so friendly. Lots of things to buy and look at
Effective protocols in place for covid. Excellent date squares , spinach and feta pastries warm and ready to enjoy. Strawberry jam preserves are delicious
Fantastic bakery.
Just went to chip truck and it was great portion size for the price charged.
Beautiful little country store w butter tarts, real fairy cheese and fresh Ontario veggies & fruit
Very friendly staff, when you walk into the store(bakery) u'll be tempted to buy a lot of things. Bought sausage pastry simply yummy.
Nice little place. Beautiful outdoor décor. A little bit too expensive for me, but I'd have loved to buy something, looked great! :) Just a little bit out of my budget. I suggest going by and having a look!
Neat art. Don't try the sticky buns... you'll never buy from anyone else again
Very friendly and helpful staff. Picked up some pecan buttertarts today and they were amazing. I've tried lots over the years and these as some of the best. Definitely looking forward to returning in the fall to try some of their jam. Great parking and lots to see. Definitely will be back. Rob
Tin farm animals, chip wagon & farm produce +cheese curds
You will not find a better baker in Ontario. Stop and get a pie.
Get the Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream!
Love their display outside and their baked goods
Chicken pies are the bomb....i highly recommend!
They have and amazing variety of wonderful foods. I have to single out their ginger molasses cookies - they are the best I've ever tasted!
We stop on our way to the cottage... and again in the way home! Great butter tarts. Even better rhubarb sour cream pie!
Just like Grandma used to make! Well, perhaps even better, but don't tell your Grandma... Seriously though, the Argyle Farm Market offers some truly fantastic baked goods; the butter tarts are genius and the sour cream raspberry pie was a first for me and was delicious. I too appreciated their social distancing precautions, I will be back!
Nice enough rural farm market. Fresh vegetables are somewhat variable. The other staples such as pies are in good supply but slightly expensive.
The prices were a bit high, but their gluten free pecan pie was delicious. The staff were very friendly and the vegetables were fresh. Lots of parking. 1/2 dozen Corn and a GF pecan pie was $30 however.
Small selection of veg and fruit. Home baking looks good. Prices seem high.
Mmmmmm! Pie
Soooooooo gooooood!!!! Cinnamon Raison bread is too good.
Bought a strawberry ???? rhubarb pie ???? Yummy ???? Very polite and professional staff
Craft/Art market, freshly baked butter tarts, sausage rolls and more ... a tasty, fun stop!
Great candy, good produce, interesting peak into a micro-culture
We purchased two small meat pies (chicken and beef). Excellent quality homemade pies with a flakey superb crust and filling. Both were great and would recommend them. Hmmm, I think I just did.
.Very beautiful items and unique
Pies!!!
Love love love their cinnamon buns.
Gluten free treats! And porta potties make a great put stop when there is nothing in the area.
Warm apple pie
Stopped by for some snacks on the way home and was pleasantly surprised! The produce looks fresh and so do the baked goods! The sausage rolls are very tasty, served warm for extra deliciousness. The person behind the counter was so polite and nice too. I ended up also buying some cheese curds, which I added to the poutine I ordered from the foodtruck outside - extra curdy poutine! Next time I'm coming up to the cottage, I intend to purchase some frozen things as treats! There's a lot tucked into that little shop, definitely worth a ten minute stop in your day!
Love this place, they're so friendly and everything they make and grow is delicious. Definitely stop and grab a sausage roll or Chelsea bun.
Excellent choice of products
I have been coming to the Arglye Market since I was a child. Every summer we look forward to picking up some treats. We recently stopped here last week and still blown away by how mazing and yummy the food it. A added bonus is the chip truck. My family and I recommend, you stop here. We are from Toronto and there isn't a bakery that compares to the food here. You won't regret it.
Awesome baking.
Friendly staff and great sausage rolls! Had a nice first time experience. They also have fresh fruits, great bite for the go!
Best pies ever!
Delicious food and very nice people!
Good tarts and sweets, but unfortunately quite unfriendly staff.
So good! Butter tarts are amazing
Last weekend, I stopped by chance. Man ohhh man, the sausage rolls are to die for and the multi grain bread was outstanding. Can't wait to try the maple syrup!! The staff is super friendly. If you're in the area, you must stop!!
Amazing people and excellent selection of delicious treats.
Amazing baked goods!!
My boyfriend and I stopped by to pick up a pie.. we came out with two pies, some sausage rolls and some butter tarts! All so delicious, excellent service, and very nice selection!
Great chip truck.
Great little place, we stopped in on Thanksgiving weekend and they were open and well stocked. Very friendly staff, offering tips on reheating baked goods. The butter tarts were very good and the buns were devoured in minutes at Thanksgiving.
Good fresh produce.
Beautiful little bakery with wonderful staff
I had driven by many times and did not know that I was passing a bakery (guess I should slow down) The date squares are amazing and the argyle dolly is a must to try!
Always have to stop on our way to the cottage for some pie! So good!
Fantastic place, Great baked goods. A little pricey for the shepherds pie at $25 but if you don't mind paying it its delicious. Super friendly staff and very helpful.
great apple fritters-they're HUGE and soooo delicious! Their pumpkin loaf was yummy as well with a velvety texture.
All the products are excellent
Stopped by on Thanksgiving day and were so happy they were open! Awesome service and what a wonderful array of baked goods and decor items! We got the delicious and still warm from the oven sausage rolls, the BEST Chelsea bread ever and an absolutely stunning painted planter pot! Looking forward to our next visit!
Too pricey
Besr chip stand and farm market store around the area.

Best Chelsea Buns ever! Worth the drive????
Friendly and yummy treats especially the apple fritters
Everything is good!...worth the drive from Mt Albert Folks.
This place makes the best pies, both savoury and sweet! They are packed with filling that is flavourful, without the usual overdone amounts of sugar, and the pastry melts in your mouth, Their butter tarts are also to die for. The staff is friendly and super cooperative. Don't pass by, without stopping in to check them out.
The first time I visited was for a Butter Tart Run. I also picked up their Ginger Molasses Cookies which are the best I have ever tasted. We also picked up their Chelsea Buns. Now it is our stop on the way to Fenelon Falls for Chelsea Buns, Ginger Cookies and Curd. Last time in, they suggested I try their Coconut Cream Pie. Seriously...heaven. So next weekend, I went back for another Coconut Cream Pie but they were sold out, so I took a Rhubarb Sour Cream Pie. I am STILL raving about it to my coworkers. What to get this weekend???
Great baking selection and friendly staff. A great place to visit on the way up to the cottage.
Perfect little stop on the way to or from the Lake. Yummy treats.
Great place
great butter tarts n pies
Great bake goods and produce..
You get what you pay for here. Prices are higher than grocery store...but quality of food is higher as well...best green beans ever!!!????
A fairly frequent stop for us on the way to the cottage. We like going in and seeing the latest baked goods and we have tried everything from meat pies to jams to buns. If I were to recommend anything in particular it would be the jams!
Terrible. Prices are ridiculous and baked "goods" not good. Don't waste your time.
Expensive!!! 10 dollars for 6 butter tarts which are not that good, the grocery store tarts taste much better, 6 dollars for 6 chocolate chip cookies which are not great either...The jam Hahahha don't get me started, no one can afford the jam! Tim Hortons sells a dozen cookies for half the price that taste much better. Save your money and stop up the road at Tim Hortons or the grocery store, I know I will.
Love the pies. A bit expensive but good
Phenomenal butter tarts and Chelsey buns
Lots to see, nice place. Calming
Omg stopped here with my mum and dad on the way to our cottage we purchased two corn relishes, 1 chili relish ,butter tarts, and dad bought an carrot loaf. EVERYTHING was absolutely terrible and we paid 10.00 a pop for each item. What a rip off how could anyone like this garbage. The butter tarts were tasteless hockey pucks. The corn relishes was sooo watered down and the chili relish was actually worse. Dad took one bite of the loaf and pitched it. DON'T waste your time our money. And to top it off the staff was not friendly at all. Shhhessshh I d give less than one star but needed too to write a review
Pies especially the apple are so tasty. Bread is ok but costly for what one gets. Staff are always friendly
Good baked goods
Grabbed some butter tarts. Excellent
Yikes it's such a fantastic place to stop and get a treat that I can't just get one thing!!!! I adore the gluten free selections! Kids love the bakery and ice cream. My husband goes haha for the gardening selections as well as fresh produce. I've heard my other family rant about the restaurant being a must!
Fantastic! Seriously the best part of going north to minden! Chelsea bum, butter tarts, raspberry sour cream pie! ... and the sausage rolls! ????????????????????????????????????????
Best butter tarts and meat pies! Their pastry is flaky and perfect.
Wonderful selection of baked goods. Frozen and fresh! Specialty cheeses, fresh produce. Sausage rolls are the best!!
You would be hard pressed to find a better farm market.by far the best bakery around
Best pies in Ontario!
The pie I got was very very good Nice service with a smile. Prices are not to bad, everything is made right there in thier kitchen on site. Will be going back more often.
I hate butter tarts, but I LOVE Argyle's butter tarts. The filling isn't overly sweet, nor is it disgustingly runny like other "best buttertarts" that you read about in blogs. When you eat one of their tarts, you don't feel like you've developed diabetes and 3 cavities at the same time. Nor do you feel nauseated by the brick that sits in your gut when eating non-Argyle butter tarts. Worth the drive!
Really fresh pastries
Amazing pecan butter tarts!! We'll be back for more soon!
Years ago we used to stop at the Argyle Farm Market to pick up butter tarts on our way to Fenelon Falls, but I haven't been to the Falls in a long time now. We were given some butter tarts and a chicken and a beef pie by some friends who had been there recently. One bite of a butter tart and I was in heaven. The crust was light and flaky and the filling was delicious and not too sweet. I'm the person who eats the pie filling and not the crust because usually it's like cardboard, but I devoured the whole thing and had my eye on the other one but hubby got to it before I could. He also ate the beef pie when I was out so I didn't get to try it. He said it was fabulous. I did get the chicken pie though and it was out of this world. Rich and creamy filling with real chunks of chicken and veggies that were still firm and not mushy and, again, the crust was light and flaky. We are now planning to stop by and pick up our own goodies from the Argyle Farm Market and I can hardly wait to have another butter tart from there.
I always make sure to stop here on my way to the cottage to get butter tarts! I love all the baked goods and delicious sticky buns.
Hands down the best stop of our cottage trips every year. We stop every time and load ourselves up with all kinds of goodies and treats until the next visit. It has become a part of our summer cottage traditions. Best bakery, best food and best service. Highly recommend!
Great butter tarts, and some really fun elephants too!
GREAT STUFF!!!
Best sausage rolls
Lovely spot to get a nice burger, sausage rolls, pies, jams and fresh produce. Highly recommend this market!
Cottage place for coffee, washroom and goodies..
I can't wait to go back and get more jam. What a fun market with so many things: fresh pastries (sweet and savoury), delicious PIES (the cream crumble omg), frozen food for later, jam and then fresh produce and outdoor decoration. Got a rhubarb cream pie and it was out of this world.
Placed an order Friday afternoon for pickup Sat. a.m. at 10 am. Got there and they were sold out...sold the items I had ordered to someone else. Never go back to a place again who has business practices like that...and over priced to boot.
Great bakery. Love their butter tarts. A good selection of baked goods. Gluten free baked goods as well. ????????
Loved that they have a large selection of gluten free items
My first time there although I've driven by dozens and dozens of times. My grandson was with me and we were warmly greeted. I was in search of butter tarts and I wasnt disappointed. They had 3 sorts of fresh home made tarts; plain (nothing plain about them), with raisins, and with pecans. The crust was just right; firm and flaky, not mushy or crumbly or pastey. The filling had just the right amount of sugar, not like some store bought ones that are over the top sweet and are not overly runny. They come 6 per package. I bought 1 of each. You can also buy them freshly frozen. Are they best I've ever had? Possibly. I also bought a fresh cherry pie. I was not disappointed. Here's a picture of each one of the butter tarts taken the day after.
