I find the prices of their fruits and vegetables and most of the commodities are higher than other supermarket. Also I wish that Sobeys marked down veggies or fruits when its almost over riped . They dont want to marked them down. Instead they put it outback and return to sellers.

I have been visiting this grocery story for more than 15 years. It is a good solid store and it often where we pick up a lot of our needs. The only issue we have with it is that when grocery items are on sale, they run out more quickly than I would like. So we often get a lot of rain checks when there are sale items. A lot of parking is good though.

My go to Sobey’s. Always a great selection of berries, fruit and vegetables. Usually very well stocked with a decent assortment of home goods as well in the centre of the store. The staff are friendly and you won’t wait for more than 5-10 minutes in line even during peak times.

Clean and bright and nicely laid out. This location has a bakery and a kitchen (you can buy cooked meals as well as refrigerated pre-made meals.) Its also in a square that's close to a Tim's and a Scotia bank and some other eateries.

Sobeys should stop selling rotten fruit for 50 percent off. It is actually illegal to sell food that has gone off. But every time I go to a grocery store in newfoundland they all do it. Selling fuzzy green fruit and veg for 2 dollars off. It's a health hazard and it makes the store look bad.

My wife had pneumonia and she really wanted mulled cider. I could not find it anywhere, then I asked coustomer service and she looked hi and low. I thanked her for her efforts and went on with my shopping. Behold she found me, with a jug of cider, and mulling spice. Now that is service. Happy wife happy life.

Very good medium sized store. Has complete groceries (fruit, bakery, health food, etc), has pharmacy, etc. But not really big and therefore probably a good choice for a traditionalist looking for a regular grocery store more so than one combined with a department store.
