Small chain grocery store with a pharmacy in side and the NLC store attached. Prices are a bit higher for the same offerings from the local chain store Dominion. Dominion does not have the NLC store.

This store is typical of any store - three workers there however make it above average for me. Seafood manager Sharon will go above and beyond to help you find something, even outside her dept. Shawn will go out back and not just look, but really search for your item and cashier Dylan- I will line up even if his line is longer to his cash because he is such a pleasant and gentle soul - he always puts a smile on my face. In a world with so many choices, this store is not the largest with the best selection but customer service makes up for any negatives.

It's alright to go there when they have something on sale there that Dominion don't have on or they have it and no one else has it.Price wise Sobeys at one time was cheeper to shop at but now Sobeys is to expensive to buy anything.Cheeper to shop at Dominion because you getting more in club packs for less money.Dominion has better quality meats sobeys has the same meat but have the cut for twice the price.

Great store, sometimes there is a long line at the check outs. they could keep more checkouts open at high traffic times ie. when your on your way home from work and need to grab something quick and there are alot of other people with the same plan and only one of the quick check outs are open.

Sobeys in long Pond is generally a great supermarket with good selection of fresh produce and meats. Also, they have a fairly complete international section where one can find hard Mexican, Asian and other international flavors. Wish they had the complimentary fruit for kids like Dominion does to keep them happy but overall a fantastic supermarket.
