You may have noticed that it reaches an feddbacks average is really positive, and it's based on a very high number of scores, so we may say that the valuation is very faithful. If many people have bothered to value when they are pleased, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to place feddbacks when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Fruit Store corresponds to the category of Grocery store.
My shopping experience could of been better if it weren't for some old guy claiming that he was the owner and directing me to park my big RV to the side of the store. On my 2nd visit, an employee confirmed to me that the old guy was just their security. His intimidating attitude was a turnoff for me and I doubt I will go back to this store again. This guy is treating and misleading customers in the wrong way and it's bad for business.
Had to wait for a person with 30items at express lane
i was there around 8:50am. the lady at the main door said that, from 8 to 9am its for only old and disable people, which is a good thing. i appreciate that. however, they are doing racism, as there were so many people inside, who were young and not disabled, then how they allowed those people to get in before 9am. i waited outside, while seeing there were so many young people coming out from store after shopping. this is pandemic, nd we are in this together, i respect all the person who are working for us. but please do respect the customers as well.
Good place for grocery. Fresh veges, fruits, household essentials, frozen food. Good deals, discount on regular items.
Located close by, so always a good place to shop
Not the best experience. Once you're in the store forget about social distancing, you get rushed yelled/rushed to shopping by the guy that seems the owner. All I can hear was shop fast, shop fast! Employees and owner don't care about safety/follow the Covid19 guidelines.
This is our go-to grocery store for basic purchases at good prices. We are rarely disappointed. Some of the younger staff could use some training in customer service, but they are usually efficient. Regular sales offer good discounts. Because of the diversity of the area, you can fins some unusual food items here.
I have been shopping at giorgios No Frills for over 40 years and now I'm in a wheelchair but the staff are always courteous and helpful plus I know where everything is.
Always crowded
I ususally try not to come to this store beacuse I find the ppl that go here are not friendly. Its a mad house on sale days, ive witnessed fights over food. the door guy talks down to ppl and often yells at customers over baskets, line ups, carts and just about everything.
I may have gone on a bad day but nothing on my shopping list was stocked, and the fruit that were available, were looking close to rotten. I must say, the owner or store manager was attentive and present though. Update ... so many improvements. Fully stocked shelves and aisles were all clean and organized.
Got what I wanted.
Though the prices are much better than Metro, there's not much selection of specialty foods (keto, gluten free etc.). But if you're just going for staples the prices cant be beat. Only giving two stars because: * They don't sanitize the belt or machines after each customer like some of the other grocers do. * Manager or owner was not wearing mask over his nose last time I went. * Almost always out of the cream we buy for our coffee when I go.
Cramped and a bad layout always looks dirty
Great prices, friendly staff and a wonderful selection!!
ALWAYS USE THIS LOCATION I LIVE NEAR BY .... LAST 1O YEARS STAFF AND MANAGEMENT GREAT PEOPLE GREAT SERVICE NO COMPLAINTS ...
Will not go back to this dirty store. Staff are ignorant. There is no washroom....a nasty sign with an exclamation mark after customer is on a facility that should be for customers.Owner? Manager is an iignoramouus
I plan my No Frills trips around not going to this store. It is the closest to home and work so I do on occasion pop in to pick up a few things. It is a large store but I feel it is always crowded, narrow aisles and people leaving their carts across the aisle. There is also a guy who stands at the front of the store and glares at everyone as they pack there bags. Today I witnessed him yelling at a potential customer for locking his bike inside the store. I heard the customer say he has never been to this store before. I assume he will never be back.
Dont like how they slow down the entrance way with produce right in the aisle, have to wait to get through as ppl slowly shop in that one spot.. they really should move it..
Great prices, nice staff. The owner works hard to keep the store clean and accessible for folks. Recently started provided FREE grocery carts for customers which is great. I'm not a fan of the crowded aisles but other than that it's a well-stocked grocery store with affordable prices!
Found some of my favorite mangoes there ????
One my main grocery stores. Love the deals they have, a good steady flow of monthly savings. Only negative is the store is almost always crowded. Very compact
Very affordable prices they have quite an OK variaty if food although not as much as the other stores however the price can't be better also they have a lot of sales and quality of the food is not bad as compared with cheap options it's not premium but not bad if u wanna save a buck. The only problem is they only accept master card
A smaller store with great prices, but there isn't anyone cleaning carts and there is no sanitizer to use to wipe your cart or to clean your hands.
Didn't go in but they were going by the new bylaw of having to wear a face mask
Store was busy due to Thanksgiving but all cashier's were on so line ups moved fast
Sub par meat and produce. Always cramped due to people and layout. You usually have to wait in line for a bit to cash out. But on the plus side it has a parking lot and it is near a bus stop. The prices are also decent.
They have a good sale I saved about eleven dollars in one trip to No Frills store is clean and employees are friendly and helpful
They have done a great job since the new owners took over keep it up
Always has wonderful sales. Make sure you use your PC Plus Points Card before shopping.
Clean, updated, good variety, friendly staff
Finally had it with this location. Went in there to pick up some item, check the price and made sure there wasn't a limit, so I grab 5 pack of TP. Walked around and did the rest of my shopping. When it was time to check out, I was told, there is a limit of 2. I was thinking to myself, put a damn sign there if there is limit. The cashier beside me, told my cashier to rang in the extra TP on another bill. But the cashier refus to do so. This isn't the first time that this location fail to put up limit signs, other time I would ask the staff working there if there is a limit on certain thing and was told no, then to only get told otherwise.
Produce is usually fresh but jerk's ask to look in your bag here and there
Very low end grocery store, like good basics
Wondering about why Loblaws stores don't have the large PC dog food cans anymore, and why what they do offer is so expensive, especially at a "No Frills." Disappointing.
Thank you for providing all of us affordable food & necessities
Great selection
Amazing Grocery store but I think there should be a limit of people in the store I believe the limit should be 10 or 5 people at a time
Great low prices (obviously) a very busy store all the time though. Long lines but the prices are worth it. A bit dirty due to the amount of people coming through but the employees are very helpful and hardworking.
Great price on everything in store and selection is big many items cost you more in other grocers
I just parked here. But it was a good parking spot!
Good and free parking lot
Worst No Frills. They always sell expired old food. Look at all dates on everything before purchasing
Meh, I guess customer service is a 'frill' here, cause there's none.
They always have produce at very reasonable prices
I've been twice for grocery pick-up and the orders have been perfect, and Lizzie at the PC Express zone has hand-written a "thank you" note each time. A very sweet touch!
They are doing a great job of managing a positive shopping experience during covid.
Overall it was a good experience.
No Frills is not a bad one however I think it's more or less something that seems to run through all the grocery stores within this particular franchise anytime something is on sale if you're not there first thing in the morning it's gone and good luck seeing it coming back anytime throughout the week. The other thing I've noticed with this particular chain of grocery stores is that they always seem kind of disheveled it would be nice to see them taking more attentive action to keeping their stores in a relatively neat fashion but other than that you get what you pay for when it comes to their bargains
Great prices, lots of selection, very busy most of the time that I've been here, but lots of parking.
Grt produce at grt prices
Awesome place to do groceries
Looks ugly, but great pricing. Got an ice cream for $1.87. that's pretty rare in 2018.
Good grocery store. Clean and affordable. Have all Asian stuff.
It is very organized and clean. However ; they are often low on selections. A lot of the time they won't have products in stock at all.
Hospitality is excellent and customers will feel and realize that there opinion and recomendations are always considered and appreciated by the employees of No Frills
There was zero crowd control when I went to shop. The store was crowded with many people congested in the aisles.
Its decent, clean enough, I guess, it's a very busy No frills. Employees are very young and I feel not trained enough, cashiers are very friendly tho. The prices are great, but of course with the cost of living going up, we all feel the pinch everywhere, especially our pockets. Overall, if you wanna save e couple bucks, No Frills is the place to shop at.
Typical No Frills except for the friendly staff. Owner is on the floor often, keeping an eye on the functionality and cleanliness, he is also very approachable. My regular grocery store.
Close enough to home my partner and I walk there. Prices are pretty good, have to be diligent checking the best before dates, some stock isnt in. The aisles are narrow, lot of customers at certain times of the day or month (to be expected), sets off my anxiety, but we return every month to do our shopping.
Excellent prices every day.
Its clean and good place to shop
Update: Back to properly enforced COVID protocols! COVID19 protocols have slipped at this location. Staff wearing masks below their nose while stocking shelves, which is probably why many of the customers walk around this way as well. Sign says carts are sanitized but customers return their carts and it is taken by the next person without it sanitized. Disappointing because they were doing a good job before.
Everything is great but they really need to work on international food item. I barely find Indian food item or Asian items except meat.
Love this store. Great prices, great produce, pretty decent fresh produce selection and friendly staff.
They always have everything I need.
Decent selection of stuff. Vegetables can be hit or miss, usually a good selection of meats.
Marco took over Danny's No Frills and has done a great job. Much better merchandising and overall cleanliness has improved significantly.
Lots of parking, generally checkouts are fast and there are plenty of stores nearby if you cant find something here
Good food cheap. Some unadvertised specials, like back bacon. Fairly clean store.
There was a man standing helping people going to the cashiers This man was very bad with me very attentive and I don't speak English well He treated me rudely and I had my cat He told me you shouldn't bring the cat in with you I told him that the cat is in her own cart and I told him that you did not put any advertisement prohibiting the entry of animals, especially as I put them in her own cart I was so let down I know people in Canada are so nice ???????? why is that how they treat someone like this I felt so sad
It's always chaos in this no frills as well as sale items are often not in stock. But produce is usually in good shape.
The manager is insane. He follows people around the store yelling at them, is not wearing his mask over his face and arbitrarily enforces rules on people he decides looks poor. The irony is that people he picks on spend hundreds of dollars here a month because it’s in the neighbourhood...
The security guy follows everyone around and tells at them, for years now.
Guna give it 5 stars cus i been going here since i was a kid lol
Good produce, great price.
Hit or miss with this place they always seem to out of stock of the items I wish to purchase.
I like no frills stores. Pricing and stock availability are 2nd to none in the past couple of years. Parking always free and available.
The store it self is good, its the people around it. For some reason I feel uneasy while walking INTO the store.
I have arthritis in my shoulder. This is a KEY thing for what I'm about to say. I also don't drive due to health reasons. My complaint with this store: they punish the customers with chronic pain for the crimes of the few. Let me elaborate: Last summer things got really busy for one of my friends who used to drive me to get groceries, and help me get them home. So in preparation for this situation, I bought myself a small travel cart. Since I bought it, the owner takes great pains to follow me around the store, anticipating that I'm going to shop lift. He even asks to see the inside of this small cart (it's really not enough to carry more than 3 well stocked grocery bags inside, four if I really push it). Whatever I have nothing to hide, he's free to search whatever. However the next time I went to go shopping, there's a sign saying that I can't use my cart. The cart is there to keep from over exerting my shoulder and causing crippling pain (I mean that as in I can't even raise my arm level with my shoulder if I over do it. moving my arm in the slightest feels like I'm being stabbed). He confronts me about this, and I counter to him that I have a very bad shoulder, if he put his hand on my shoulder blade he could actually feel the crepitus every single time that my arm moves. "Painful" is an understatement, he tells me to ask for assistance and some boys will come over and help me load my stuff into my *car*. Again, I don't drive, I tell him this and he just smiles at me like the cat that caught the canary!! Someone seriously needs to see a therapist if he thinks that someone not driving is a sign that they're a thief. As a result, he's lost my business to Walmart and Food Basics. They're considerate enough of people with chronic pain to install ANTI-THEFT devices to deal with shoplifters instead of making decent people suffer. It's a longer journey but at least I'm not made out to be a criminal over a medical condition.
It's close and convenient for me and my family since I live next door and the prices are not that bad I love this store
I only shop at no frills for small, convenience store items, because its expensive, yes, expensive overall. I have on a few occasions tried to shop for a weeks groceries and paid the price. Far better off and cheaper to shop elsewhere, where there's a real selection of items, 10x better quality and service. No frills is not a bargain. Please compare prices and quality and you'll agree!
Great central location. Clean store. Great layout.
Very nice and cool, my dudes. My brother works here and they’re very nice.
I loved the fact that it is close and I felt that they support environment. They have good verity and all their vegetables are fresh.
Selling best bread in Hamilton with lowest possible price. Friendly staff and organized isles.
Good prices, quality products
Absolutely phenomenal when you use the PC Optimum app/card with PC Express shopping checkout. Let me tell you, if you thought online shopping through Walmart, Costco etc were good, wait until you try PC Express with No frills. You'll find all the items you need online at cheaper prices without having to search isles manually as I can never find everything in store and you get 10% cashback on average!! Absolutely incredible ❤️ Just shop, they bag everything 4u and you pick it up at the front door of their store. Thank you No Frills as I never knew you had this service until recently ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Small but good store.
I visit this location almost weekly. If you stock up, when your favorite product is on sale, you can pretty much get everything at a very reasonable price, and exceptional savings on meat in particular. I find that around times of social assistance cheques issue, the store can get very congested, which is my only complaint. The cashiers are mostly very friendly & efficient, with the odd exception. I take public transit & there are both east & westbound bus stops on either sides of the property.
It is okay store. Products on sale matter. I am shopping here mostly because oh my PC points card. Milk and water, fruits, vegetable on sale. Bananas! Kiwi! Apples! Broccoli! Parsley! Cucumber! Muffins! Halal Meat Is Better! Bread! Chips! Always busy store. Cashiers are ok.
Definitely improved and cleaned up over the past few years, now needs to improve produce section. Overall good and budget friendly.
Only grocery store in town that I know of that sells breadfruit. Good place for all the basic needs and we'll priced. Friendly staff too.
The people amazing, especially that insanely good looking blond! Great prices!
Lots of crack head fights out front which makes it pretty entertaining... Nothing particularly outstanding about the store besides location.
Nice clean store see fall laws for covid in place
On Feb 2/19 at the cash I was told by your loss prevention person I cannot use a Dollarama bag. I must utilize a cart and purchase plastic bags. Go To Hell!
It's decent. It definitely is as the name implies - no frills. The store is not very clean, its parking lot is kinda small, the layout is not very intuitive, and the checkout lanes are quite slow. The prices of the products reflect that for the most part, but the quality is not all there unless you're going there for something specific. Wouldn't really recommend it otherwise.
Small location and a little difficult to maneuver around. Although definitely a good spot for the needs of people in the area.
Between the bugs and the weirdos who work the cash I'm over this place
Bought 10 baskets of peaches for canning today. Every single one of them is mealy. They look great on the outside, but have been improperly stored, resulting in a product that is not usable. Huge disappointment as they were local peaches. Their produce is consistently poor quality. Good for staples.
They don't take Visa for some reason? They have a variety of food selection and go here regularly. Pretty good place but it's busy a lot of the time
Great staff was very helpful
Pre-Covid this store was my go to store, but now I stay away at all costs. There are virtually no measures in place to keep shoppers safe. It is a small store to begin with and there is nothing being done to space people out. I would not recommend this store at this time.
Produce is not very fresh and they have a very ignorant older man working there who gets physical with people. He makes it very hard to enjoy your experience
The worst No Frills to shop. Never have the items advertised. You will waste your time.
While the prices maybe good the store is crowded and yhe5aisles aren't wide enough to freely accommodate two carts.
Nice place to shop
Pretty good store, the produce is usually good
Awesome prices and great deals! Better than at the Wholesale Club.
Most of the tellers are nice, but the shelf stockers are very rude, and the baskets are filthy dirty.
Needs to be cleaned. Workers should have a more positive attitude towards customers. One of the them was abrupt ( to describe her ) she had too many earrings and rings . No discrimination whatsoever. She was not nice to clients and was rude. Clean the place . Make it look like a place people want to come and shop. Regardless of the society around it.
a one star in terms of quality, but 5 stars for entertainment value. Going to Danny's No Frills almost guarantees that you will see some sort of domestic dispute. It's March and their still selling Christmas advent calenders. That about sums it up there.
Store is dirty & never has half the products in the flyer.. i haven’t bin in over a year & now I remember why.. DINT GO!!
Good prices and selection of dry foods to choose from. Meat is a bit expensive compared to the competition, unless it's on sale in which case it tends to be sold out quickly. Veggies are not so fresh here. Staff can be nice but the store manager seems uptight all the time.
Its a good place for grocery shopping. Not much Variety considering South asian community. Flour and rice variety are not at all present. Other wise nice location , good parking space and reasoably spacious. Its not cheaper than real canadian store. Cudnt find brown free run organic eggs corn flour.
Good prices ????????but lack of restock ????????
The food was good, the prices were cheap. But the staff don’t care if you are in their store and the manager is 100% oblivious to ANYTHING that goes on in his store. The fresh berries were also very moldy and should not of even been put out on the shelves at all.
The experience wasn't very good. The owner seems to have an issue with anyone who has visible tatoos and takes it upon himself to yell from across the store kicking them out and banning them for life. Given the percentage of people with tattoos in this city it must be losing a lot of the market looking for inexpensive groceries. This is a location I refuse to shop at now. Unless I'm completely covered in clothes so the owner won't yell at me.
Although the staff seems friendly, I have to give it a poor rating for their produce section. Many times I have walked down there, only to have to walk home, get in my car and drive to another store, because the quality of produce here is routinely quite poor. At this time if I need any produce, I do not even try this location.
I noticed an employee working with his mask not covering his nose. I won't be back!!
Like going into a prison
Love the prices
Great prices and nice employees
This review I'm comparing to other No Frills I've visited, not grocery stores in general. It's not terrible but not great. It's convenient for a quick stop on your way back from downtown. Lots of parking with handicap spots and a wheelchair accessible entrance. It is really cramped for space though as you enter the store and into produce. The isles are very narrow in fresh produce and bakery but open up as you move to the meat section and the rest of the isles. I find there is way more room at the opposite end as you line up for check out. I can understand the reasoning for this but it's a very uncomfortable way to enter the store and it's an area that sees the most traffic so I would expect better planning. Stock is great for shelf stable items but kind of lacking in ever other department. Overall they are doing their best to provide the most to their customers in this small location so I give them credit for that.
Love the staff and cute girls hollar at your girl!!
The staff are always really nice at this location.
It was easy to find everything I needed and the staff there are friendly and helpful, the store is kept clean.
They work hard to help customers
Do all my grocery shopping here great prices. Make sure you bring a quarter one of the only places you still need to rent your cart.
I've always liked Nofrills, I've been to Giorgios for over 10+ years now. The selection isnt always the best. But the prices are great and the staff is almost like family.
I find that they run out of certain food items quite frequently. Franco! Get it together, man! Maybe get some blinds to block that hot afternoon sun.
Nice place to shop, needs hire some friendly staff too.
Manager is a goof. Accused me of stealing without any evidence. Just because I walked in the store with a backpack
Never fully stocked. things are always near expiry dates. the owner will follow you around like you're stealing. the products like no name that are cheapest hardly exist like cheese whiz hot rods Bravo spaghetti sauce only limited amount of flavours in soda. no one can tell you when things are going to be coming in like meat. prices are wrong it's awful
Everytime I go there I encounter rude people. It's always super busy and packed with too many people you can't social distance. I also hate the yellow lol. On a positive note the staff is always polite and knowledgeable.
They carry fresh flowers and I love to pick up a $6 bouquet for myself or a friend on my way out.
Dirty always seems out of stock. Owner is rude. Only ever stop to pick up popsicles and Bubly water both which the store is unable to order correctly to ensure they have it stock.
Unorganized and store always seems messy
The prices are actually great, a wide variety of your favourite foods at a discounted/reduced price compared to your major grocery chain. The only thing that is unfortunate about this No Frills is the neighbourhood it's in. Needless to say, don't leave valuables in your car and try not to interact with anyone you wouldn't feel comfortable with.
Lots of great deals, variety and produce. I get the Halal meat because its great quality and cheaper. Frozen fruit usually cheaper than other places too.
Good staff and they have almost everything.
It's fine for basic food needs. Good prices compared to some places but worse selection
Worst customer service...most of the racks are empty and even after informing to the crew, no actions were taken...
The cashiers are sweet and nice. The store isn't bad. However I have always been careful never to enter with a backpack and to always shop with one of the stores baskets. Although I have not encountered it myself many people have told me that they have experienced harassment and accusations of theft
One of the better No Frills stores I have been to. Lots of cashiers on duty no waiting. Seemed very clean for a no frils . I just popped in to pick Up a couple of things so I didn't really shop . If it was in my neighborhood I would shop there .
Great deals, best time to visit is in the morning. Less people around
It's a "No Frills", it's just what you'd expect out of the grocery with the name. It's not the nicest store but it does the job. It can be a bit of a gong show when you go in at a busy time, cashing out can be a challenge as the lines get pretty messy and end up blocking the aisles. And as any grocery store, make sure to check the expiry/best before dates.
I love this No Frills, the staff are all friendly and the place is kept clean. There is always someone to help if you need help finding anything. Prices are fair but that is the same as most No Frills. What I love best is that owner will actually be spotted and works just as hard as his employees. There has been a few times where I seen him helping with stocking, cleaning or offering assistance. So its nice to see a boss that is actually respectful and works along side his employees instead of just bossing orders. Plus he is extremely polite. I do all my shopping here! Plus they are doing a great job during the Covid-19 pandemic. Way to go Giorgio's No Frills! Keep up the magnificent work you all do! Thank you!
Good Value, for the price. Great employees. Good management.from the outside.
Love no frills!
They have a wide selection of fruits and vegetables, bigger than I've seen at a regular no frills! There meat had brown spots on it so I would not recommend buying meat here. The carts cost $1.00 which I find to be extremely inconvenient. The staff are not very knowledgeable either, that or the cashier I had didn't like her job. If you're looking for a quick in and out shopping trip, I would recommend this place, otherwise buyer beware.
Bathrooms are important. Lacking bathrooms is bad for everyone.
convient and inexpensive and well organized!
Kool place prices not too bad to shop nice checkout people
I have been using their pick-up service throughout Covid. I have been so thankful and appreciative of the excellent service I have recieved as I have an immune compromised child.
Good place close to home. The fresh food is better than it was.
So small, I don't like how everything is just cluttered together. Went to get some fruits they had none just apples and oranges.
They always ask if you want a PC rewards card so you never get free cookies. Otherwise pretty friendly staff and a good selection.
I love the cheap prices at this no frills! All the produce I’ve been getting here has been very fresh
It was clean and had huge aisles, which is great allows two carts to pass without one having to wait. The prices were great and comparable to any other store in the area. Stop in and check it out for yourselves.
The owner is very rude - not a good way to treat paying customers.
It's great on dollars days. Go on off times that way you stay out if the madness of each register giving 6/7 deep
Clean and staff friendly and helpful
Decent choice of Merchants
Every town needs a No Frills. Has a nice produce selection, pretty efficient layout, and all the things you'd need. Could use a little more staff, and certain corridors are very narrow, but I recognize it's the store adapting to Covid times as best as they can.
It looks run down. I think it needs to be cared for better by the people who run it. I still recommend the prices are good.
Not bad good prices. Good staff. Don't try and wait for a washroom key. Just pee on the side if u have to wait 1 hr for a key ????
It has pretty much everything. I like the new No Frills on Rymal road. They have a butcher, sea food counter and its huge. Nice and clean.
I always Shop here, Very Friendly, and helpful staff.
Prices are competitive with other value sellers. Fair to good selection of products. Adequate staffing.
Always friendly staff. I use the online and pick up service. Excellent.
Honestly it's not bad when they have things stocked, which must be every time I'm not there. I go at random times during the week -not even super busy days. The produce section is never fully stocked ,its also very unorganized. The staff are friendly and quick and the store is usually pretty clean. But the lack of selection in produce most days is very annoying.
Welk organzized and friendly staff. Great location.
Busy place.
Decent grocery store. Set up is a bit weird but the deals are good.
I dont always agree with their line choices but they run fast and smooth. No matter the length of the line you're never waiting long.
No Frills is a great name for what it is. Narrow aisles, okay (not necessarily good, rarely great) produce, not much variety. However, this means great prices! Also, cashiers are friendly and quick, the store is quick to open more checkouts when lines start to grow, and it is generally well stocked. A good store if your goal is a quick and cheap shopping trip.
The store was ok pretty good service and fast as well.
Great place to purchase groceries and other household items at a reasonable price. If you are trying to make it a quick trip, don't go between 4-6pm or else the line will wrap around into the frozen foods section. Grocery pick up is absolutely superb, except for the one time when their system went down and they had to charge me TWO times for my groceries (once online and once in store when picking them up) because they "had no other way of doing it" and wouldnt let me take my already paid for groceries without paying for them again due to their system being fown.... Apparently the manager told me that a lady had to leave the groceries she already paid for online because she didn't have the money to pay for them again in store. I find it really sad that NoFrills could not resolve this in a better manner tbh. The employees who do the picking for the online ordering do a great job and always pick great quality produce.
I go here every weekend for groceries (mostly out of convenience) and never had a problem. Some of the cashiers don't pay attention however. I had to repeatedly ask for the bags I paid for.
This is my second visit since my last review, last year 2017. The staff has improved in terms of intelligence and appeal, previously elderly and incompetent. Young men and women were seen today working hard and knew how to do their jobs. During check out myself and two other tested the lines and price checking capability. A associate and I were in one line while another associate in a seperate line. All three cashiers were female while the males were stocking the shelves. The first female, blonde and working the express was incapable of doing her job without second questioning everything... Which she stated she was new. The cashier name Dharma whom served us was rude, condescending and when price checking items with her, she said it was not the same items even though we argued and showed her differently. In the end we were right and simply testing the waters, although we nearly left. The produce was primp and proper however the staff should refrain from wearing perfumes and other essences. One of the employee's wore an essence we found too strong. The ziggys deli meats are horrible in quality and taste at best, should be replaced with Pillers or another company. The shopping carts over priced in a wealthier area, and located in Ancaster where found to be a dollar to shop with compared to other stores which require a quarter or nothing. The parking lot is a disaster with dips, cracks and holes whilst lacking in parking space. Overall a decent store for prices without the "frills" however a second visit and still disappointed. At least the staff was nicer, faster and more efficient compare to the last time.
I love ????this shop ????
PC macaroni with Tuna is so yummy.
The cashier was so nice and very helpful ????
It's my local grocery store. It us made of disappointment, but it occasionally has food my wife can eat without getting nauseated. I like the cashiers. They try their damndest to make it an unhateful experience.
Very affordable. Busy location on weekends but lines move quickly. Checkout staff very underwhelmed.
It's sucks it never has flavor water..
Reasonably priced.
Uncomfortable, dirty, gross, and cheap are just some of the words that come to mind when I think about this place. It is in a poor-feeling neighborhood and some of the customers can be very smelly. Yes, the local pharmacy gives out methadone, so maybe that has something to do with it. This is the only grocery store that I have been (basically) accused of stealing at (by putting my groceries into a store box to carry them to the checkout) by the manager no less and on the same day get offered cheap discount stolen meat by a dirty looking sweat pants wearing man in the parking lot. Their garden centre is pretty good in the spring. The parking lot can be extremely dangerous, watch out for speeders. Wash your fruit and vegetables before you eat them as the Never-Showered-This-Year Guy or the I-Own-50-Cats-That-Pee-On-Me-While-I-Sleep lady may have touched them and accidentally stuck them down their pants.
Price is good the story's clean the stuff is good they got my support
Sure they are a big location with great deals however they have this elderly man as security guard that has no clue what is and isn't allowed in store with customers. Prime example: two days ago I was there with my brother and my other half. I was outside while they went into the store to grab a few things for dinner. While at the check out they were putting the food on the belt and "security guard" told them they had to use a cart for their groceries. Clearly done shopping they kindly pointed out that they were fine and didn't need one since they were done and about to pay. Because they refused to grab a cart they were told to leave. When they said after paying they would leave the "security guard" actually had 4 more guys come up to escort them out and call the police. I myself and many others have shipped there without a car and have never had this issue. My spouse is walking with a cane due to a workplace injury and this "security guard" actually wanted to fight him over this. I couldn't and still can't believe this happened yet I saw the last of it with my own eyes. Rediculous if you ask me. We'll never be shopping there again because of this and previous visits my spouse has problems with the same old "security guard".
Good overall experience. The store was clean and not overly busy, just some items were not in stock but other options were available instead.
I was at this location getting food for a client, was not happy with COVID precautions taking place. There where a couple staff members wearing masks under their nose. There was one in particular wearing a face shield only (which would be ok, if she was wearing it correctly) it was not covering her face. She was standing in produce section, face shield on-top of her head, constantly touching her face then touching the shelf while talking to 2 other ppl, one of which was another man employee, with his mask under his nose. I informed a supervisor, he said he would take care of it and headed toward her. I ended up having to loop back around in that area she was still there, talking to the same ppl, shield still on-top of her head, still constantly touching her face. Saw the supervisor couple aisles over, back at work not doing a thing. So upsetting.
It was good, just stopped in for a couple of things, wasn't busy. Danced to some good times while shopping, made the shopping experience lots more fun.
The don't have everything I was looking for but good prices
Used to be Danny's no frills for 30+yrs now its called Franco's not the best meat selection
Staff not responsive There is no manager to handle them. Upper James st. No frill Is better.
Friendly staff always well stocked. Clean store
Great sales and great products. Last time I went shopping I found out they sell toasters and coffee makers. Did I mention there 1$ sale is worth every penny spent.
Usually busy but usually enough cashiers. Always good deals.
Disgusting. There prices are constantly on the rise well there quality and meger selection continues to decline. The staff... for the most part are the only saving grace. Would not recomend this place to others unless desperate but even then the dollar store canned chicken is probably better.
It's a clean store with a selection of products to choose from.
Good store. Good prices. Friendly staff except for the security guy. Very rude man
I love this store. Great staff. Only frustration is when they don't have the same products from week to week.
Prefer shopping at this location even though I live on the Mountain, much better service and better lane space.
Some staff are very help ful and one in particular not must have had a bad day. Asked this man to help me find an item but it seem as if he is not intreasted in helping but one of your cashier helpe finding what o wanted
Your typical no frills. Very limited product selection. Tend to run out of sale items quickly & slow to restock. If you are looking for sale items check end of 1st aisle past bakery items. Staff friendly & helpful.
Easy shopping in n out .price is gone up n food wieght. Is lower then use too be.
Franco's No Frills is a busy place. Produce is fresh, decent selections of products and aisle layouts aren't confusing. If you want to get the good deals, arrive as early as you can because they'll get snatched by those earlier then you and go fast. There are some reviews here that complain about the clientele but I've never met anyone there who was disruptive or difficult. The line-ups can get quite long and there never seems to be enough cashiers available.
Just an FYI. Some stores don't accept all credit cards because of high fees charged to them by Visa, Mastercard, etc. Usually they'll choose one but not multiple. Why pay fees to so many lenders? There are many ways to keep costs down [no frill shopping] and this is one of them. Give them a break!
Low prices good selection of items. Clean store and well stocked most of the time. Very busy location good parking and acess.
They have a great selection of food, too choose from. It's clean, and staff I cortious and helpful.
Best place to get thimgs at attractive discounts. My favourite thing is chocolate chip cookies of no name.
Not a good Nofrills, Messy not well stocked.
NOFRILS WAS THE BOMB OOOOOOFFFFFFFFFFF
Very friendly staff but the COVID protocol seems a bit wonky and there always seems to be far too many people in the store making it difficult to social distance. It’s a smaller building so maybe that’s the reason. No frills is my go to because we collect points but during the pandemic I feel safer at the food basics nearby.
Great customer services
Being consistently clean and organized should be addressed, . I highly doubt I will return.. however I may, to see if this has been rectified . Because this place has potential :!!
Friendly cashiers, however, stock was consistently low and messy.
They are good they help me out when I need it and they show me where to go and how to get their when I ask and they are very nice.
No washroom "out of service" Bad service
Guys a brid that thinks his head honcho
Always great Deals ????
This No frills has the worst meat and vegetables going. They also repackage expire meat...
Georgios is a very good store, it has most of what you need and a decent prices.
best place for grocery cheaper
This place never changes. I have shopped there must be 50 years now and it just never changes it decor but the prices are good.
The prices here are great. The issue I have with no frills is that a) it is always SO unbearably busy. Also I find a lot of produce isn't top quality. Some items such as bread and eggs are closer to expiry than other grocery stores.
The lines were incredibly long and not many cashes were open. The lighting and placement of items is very questionable. Staff was friendly and helpful, however.
This no Frill is a great place, it is quite big, lot to choice from, healthy choices for cheap. there fruit is usally always fresh and if it NOT, they will go out of there way to get you fresh produces. the staff are very friendly and helpful. I will 100% be going back.
Smaller grocery store with a limited selection, but covers all of the essentials.
It’s small, over-crowded, tight aisles and some things are hard to find. The selection is also not as good as other No Frills I’ve been in. Parking is ok though. Definitely not one of the better No Frills to shop at.
Shop here all the time the staff are helpful and friendly
Thank you store is very clean and safe. Very happy staff and very nice thank you gold star roofing
Definitely a no frills type of place. Great deals large variety of groceries.
Nice store clean friendly staff huge parking
I did not find it to busy and the prices vary good all in all. Also wheelchair accessible for those whom haven't had a chance to go there . 4.8 stars I have given. If you can't find what your looking for. Believe me it's there. Simply ask store worker. They will detect you as were to find it.
This is a 50/50 spot for product and customer service. One day, okay, next day, not at all. Yeah, prices are good, but at what point do you put your own time and sanity above a deal? The produce is rarely fresh... Do you want to spend ten minutes going through strawberries checking the bottoms for wet rotting ones, only to find a decent pack, get home, open it, and find some rotten fuzzy strawberry in the middle of the batch? This is your spot. If there is a sale, you're better off going to another location because they either didn't stock enough or never carried it.
They have really good special deals sometimes.
Surprisingly good No Frills: large, clean, well laid out, and good turnover so it's fresh. Probably your best bet in the area and way better than the garbage Freshco down on Barton.
Very, very patient and understanding staff. Unique clientele... Good prices
I like this store. Everyone except one person. I just stay away from him. Its clean and I love shopping here.
Got everything you need, no waiting online and everything is clean and in control with the COVIC19, totally recommended this location.
They had what I needed, not too many hassles because of Covid. Easy enough to get what you need and get out. After all who wants to spend time at the grocery store.
Great location near downtown. Good selection of fresh veggies.
The manager is always there to greet you, he is very kind and polite. they always have great sales on.
No Frills has been serving this area for over 20 yrs. Great prices, but they could learn better customer service.
Clean store - good selection of all the basics. Staff are always helpful.
The price is right and they usually have good sales, quality of produce is not to my standard but if your preparing what you buy that night it is sufficient. Area isn't the greatest and usually quite busy.
As far as no frills go if you have seen one you have seen them all. Nothing extraordinary about this one but nothing terrible either. It's a grocery store with everything that goes with it. Will shop there again.
Good store in the heart of Hamilton. No complaints. Just your regular No Frills.
Not the freshest fruit on the block but great prices and selection in general.
Got accused of shop lifting because I brought a personal shopping cart. I was kicked out of the store by security and I was told that there were multiple large signs saying that personal shopping carts are not allowed. But there aren't any. I was allowed to enter the store with it and the scanner lady at the front door didn't say anything about it. I was forced to leave while my partner did the rest of our shopping. Will never shop here again!
I'm only rating this 3/5 as I experienced some frills while shopping here.
Likely one of the worst No Frills to go to. Pricing is rigged, many larger sizes are priced higher equivalently than the smaller. The discount section is a small bookcase, hardly ever any genuine deals, mostly regular prices if they bother to even put a price. Meat prices are kept high, meat has to be turning green before a 30% markdown, never more. Produce section is small, high prices & never any sales unless in the flyer. There is a discount rack for produce, but it has to be rotten to garner a 50% discount. Stockboys no longer work nights, so you have to constantly navigate around them blocking the aisles. Shelving is super high and deep, so if you're not 8 foot tall with 3 foot long arms, good luck. Horrible greedy owner, taking advantage of the lower income neighborhood. No coupons, no sales ever.
Store is fine for canned items but that’s it Don’t buy meat or produce here meat has clearly been relabeled to change expiry date (also never had ground beef/chicken breast when I would shop after work at 4:30) This No Frills never has sale items in stock and don’t refill the shelves until sale is over. I went on a Friday afternoon and most sale items were not available I doubt they sold out that fast I bet they didn’t even stock them in the first place Also beware that cashiers double scan some items almost every time I check out I always have to watch very carfully My last and biggest problem is that 4 times in 6 months I have bought something and it’s already been opened (bought sour cream and it was opened already , bought three 2 liter ginger ale one of them was opened, cottage cheese was opened and missing some and lastly tortillas were opened and missing 3 tortillas) I now only shop there for canned vegetables Just buy shelf stable items here and use the money you save and go to fortinos/metro for meat and produce
Not my usual No Frills location but I found it to be clean, spacious and efficient.
My other market for my groceries. I am on a scooter and am able to manoeuvre quite well
Good prices and selection. Well lit and clean. Fast lines. Generally fresh groceries. Remember to bring some change for the carts.
Just got banned from my local grocery store very aggressively, over me not knowing I couldn't stroll my bicycle beside me while trying to buy a simple bag of cat food. The security officer, named Ali, who did this to me then made up a story to staff that I apparently have a history at this store. I've never had an issue at any grocery store in my entire life! Luckily the staff saw the commotion and I've got several witnesses who are all on my side. Apparently this man is crazy and tells staff what to do and has even laid hands on innocent people. I'm hoping that after my report today and the fact that the head office heard some of these witnesses say these things in the background of the call that he loses his job and gets replaced stat. I now don't feel comfortable going back there to shop and will have to travel across the city to do my grocery shopping. As a single parent on a limited income I shouldn't have to pay money to travel elsewhere for my shopping nor should I have to be subject to such harassment. It's all on camera and, at the end of the day, I am glad that I stood my ground to his abuse. I really hope that Franco sees this and decides to do something about this abusive security guard!!
Nice and tidy, despite the fact that it faces some wierd people around... ????
Great food and great service. This place special memories for me and it did not disappoint.
Love this store!!the owner is awesome , store is always clean and they are so helpful and lo e that the owner is always there hoping and doing stuff and greeting you!would definitely itll reccomend this store to anyone!!
I love going to No Frills. The staff are genuine, the prices are competitive, there is price matching, and there is a pretty good variety of choice. It's my main shopping place.
Liked the place full of stuffs.
Used PC Express. Easy to order on line. Groceries were ready early and lots of helpful notifications. Quick and easy pick-up.
Remember that time when someone found a mouse in their bread? (Not my picture, just wanted to keep it in circulation)
A huge selection of items and the best prices around!
Good prices but variety of products is limited. Good for basic staple groceries, very economical. Always very busy with few cashiers open and line ups. Staff not very friendly
it's good but for no name still more expensive then Walmart except for diapers so it's some things are better here and some are not it varies really but it's decent much cheaper then Metro or fortinos by far
was just at no frills asked the cashier a question about a gift card she scans it then says she CAN'T reimburse Me didn't ask to scan the card....cashiers at no frills for the most part are awesome but not this one ask or listen before anything
The owner (?) I assume based on how outrageous he acted (no normal worker at a minimum wage job would act this way), attacked my father calling him a thief, screaming in his face for not using a cart when just trying to buy one item. Wouldn't let him leave the store or anything even though he literally JUST entered the store and went to the bread aisle. My dad had to push the guy out of the way just to leave. I don't recommend this nofrills at all considering they attack their customers and verbally abuse them just for not grabbing a shopping cart. We were there for less than 3 minutes.
If you suffer from anxiety or you're prone to panic attacks you may want to stay away from this location due to how ridiculously packed this store is at times. The aisles could definitely use a little more elbow room to prevent shoppers from running each other over. The meat selection leaves much to be desired, so if you're looking for the perfect prime rib for Sunday dinner you may want to look elsewhere. Overall, it's an okay place to shop and good deals can be found, however it needs a bit more variety with respect to fresh produce. Then again, it's called No Frills for a reason.
I was pleasantly surprised at the store. I hadn't been to the area in years. Well stocked and clean, much better than I remembered. It was always busy so I just thought it was a matter of not enough staff to keep up with the shelving of products. Very nice experience ????
Generally a good locations, only 3 stars because lines tend to get long and they don't always have the staff to open more checkout lanes.
Cashier never said hello good bye or f off. Just scowled and looked like she didnt want to be working. Attitude is everything. Go home if you dont like your job.
Very clean. Had all sale items in stock
Good selection, great deals on their weekly sales, sometimes the absolute best price on Pepsi and coke in the city
Great location. Clean and organized. Security guard is top-notch!!!
Giorgio is tall...and bald...and has five fingers on each hand.
Fresh produce, helpful staff, quick cashiers. Very cosmopolitan.
If I’m in desperate need I’ll go here. I try to avoid because the people who shop here are savages. I always have people bumping into me. the clerks are never happy. And the security guard there is beyond ignorant.
Franco's no frills is always my go to for my weekly groceries. Prices are fair, they do a good job of having a mixed variety of products
Has all the basic necessities but not the widest selection, as it is a smaller store. Produce section especially limited. Aisles are fairly narrow.
In this place, you have to pay to use the carts. Carts are free in places like Walmart but not No Frills. There is also this man that works here that is really rude to customers.
Such a horrific experience Everytime I enter this place, it's just the one employee that makes this place not my favorite No frills.
Good store. Very busy though, suggest going on slow hours. Worst part about the place: sketchy customers man
The line was very long today I didn't even go in the store line too long
Lots to chose from but the staff don't seem very happy to be working .
Love going to Franco's no frills. There is a manager there his name I think is tyrel or tarel he is really friendly and helpful. Always has a smile on his face if I want assistance with anything he is always willing to help. The other managers no so much helpful and friendly
good prices... decent selection. a little dirty at times.
I went into this place 5 years ago and the customers there all stare you down. Maybe a built-in defense mechanism. I'm happy to report that it's not the case anymore. Great place to shop. Shelves were pretty well stocked and very good prices
Treats it's customers like criminals if they dare enter the store with a bag. Below is the letter I just wrote their head office. I unfortunately had to give this establishment at least one star.... I'd like to inform you of the loss of this customer from all your locations due to the policy of one store and the behaviour of one employee. I don't know if it's the policy of all your stores but Danny's No Frills at 453 Main Street East in Hamilton has the reprehensible habit of treating all customers like criminals for the simple act of walking in the door with a bag. I do not believe it is legal to demand the search of someone's belongings because a sign is posted on the door. After finishing my shopping this evening (and noticing the 40% increase on a few items that I normally buy) I was in the checkout line when again I was asked if the teller could look in my laptop bag. This time, being already annoyed with the price increases and a long day I politely refused. Your teller (who was quite polite) called the manager. Who came over, was immediately rude and flashed some sort of ID at me and demanded I show the girl my bag. I again declined, the manager (I assume he never properly identified himself other than the flashing of ID that I was not allowed to examine) got loud and demanded again. When I again declined he demanded I leave the store, ranted about me wasting his time having to check the video and yelled across the store for another person to come and return my money. While waiting I told him to look in the bag so he could understand how his behaviour had lost a customer, at which point he told me he didn't lose a customer he didn't "want people like me in the store" (for the record people like me are 47 year old professionals without criminal records) and explained that if I returned I was trespassing. My family generally spends between $300-$400 per week in groceries. None of which will be spent in any of your stores after this fiasco. Your employee was rude, belligerent and loud not only to me but in front of everyone there. I will admit being angry at this point and on my way out asked all the other customers in ear shot why they were shopping somewhere that treats it's customers like criminals without cause. I am appalled and furious. I haven't decided what my next course of action will be but I promise you I have no intention of taking this quietly. I did not get the man's name, as I said he did a very poor job of identifying himself. He was an Indian (I am guessing) gentleman late 40's early 50's and I am assuming the manager or security possibly. Is this really the policy of your stores to demand to search customers because you aren't willing to properly police shop lifting? No other store I enter regularly has ever done this to me, not one.
Fast lines
Well stocked, clean store and friendly staff. Inpressed this visit.
This location has very nice staff good prices good deals
It's only been "Giorgio's" since 8th June 2019. Before that, it was Franco's. Before that, I forget. During the time that the unremembered owner had their name on the front, the selection was better and the prices were fair. If it was in the flyer, it was in the store. Then Franco took over and the variety in stock plummeted. Many of the staple No Name brand items disappeared, their spots on the shelves filled with premium-brand items. This store is located in a very low-income area. People here simply can't afford to buy the premium brands. As a result, we have been transitioning to other stores, other chains. One simply can't feed a family with the limited range of goods available from this store. The cashiers are great and almost always raise a smile. But the limited stock is driving the locals to go elsewhere. Even visitors to the store from other areas have expressed anger at not being able to find what other No Frills carry. I live across the street from it, and I shop a bus-ride away. That should tell you how bad it is. I wonder if the transition to "Giorgio's" status will improve things any?
Very helpful staff they helped me to find and
This place is not too bad. However the guy who does security supposedly seems to be aggressive with some people. It is not a comfortable situation and he should be removed. I get that there are a lot of people who like to steal stuff and that's not good thing but the store has to consider the good customers who don't steal and shop there a lot.
It's pretty good! They just don't carry the Oat Milk I prefer, Earth's Own Oat Milk. ????????
Cheap groceries. Not the best selection of Asian spices.
Only go to this No Frills when I need something quick.
I was just stopping for a couple of things but it was not busy and I got everything I wanted and more at a lower price
Trash store with a trash "security guard" and so called "manager" that harassed me and followed me around for no reason but to yell at me over a reusable bag I was carrying to put my groceries in. Seems like they have no clue over Loblaws policies. It was a quick google search...reusable bags are allowed in the store. There were others breaking so called rules like no mask and others who also had reusable bags and others that weren't following their so called dress code. Not even from this city..was there to quickly grab a handful of things ...will stick to my favourite no frills in Burlington.
I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and organized the store is. Evening in it's place and with reasonable prices.
Free carts and generally good stock, one of a few decent groceries in the lower city/downtown area.
This store has a great selection of products, both fresh and frozen (and everything in between). I would recommend this store to anyone looking for a great shopping experience
If you just need to grab something off of a shelf real quick this is an ok place. However if you want fresh produce I would not recommend
They are always gentle.
Low stock on items and many items were on the top shelves but not restocked
Gotta love a dollar sale. Really dislike being treated like a shop lifter because I walk and bring my own buggy. Same manager always puts me on the spot. Just cuz I wear a 300$ camo snowboarding coat doesnt mean im a thief.
Some deals here sometimes, store could be a lot more cleaner, only go here if there's a good deal going on
Reasonable food prices.
Food selection is decent but they run out of flyer items often and don't restock. Also, the parking lot is sketchy
love love love this store even though it is far away from me the bus ride there is fine but this store has literally EVERYTHING !!
Nice and clean store. Well organized and helpful personal.
All your basic food needs - no more, no less. It seems like Franco is always on the premises. PC Optimum and good deals make it easy to watch the budget.
I have some various problems with this store. I dislike the fact that there's a big sign in front of the door saying to tie your bags before entering. They should have better security cameras. Main issue though is the cashiers. I've seen other peoples' reviews and find them to be greatly exaggerated but going for a refund in this place is a great hassle and staff are unfriendly, you need a good excuse for a refund. Location is also too small to have anything good in the aisles, which you would think shouldn't be a problem at first glance. Minor nitpicks include the stacked carts being left in the parking lot, barely managed. Too many floor staff, not to mention customers in the aisles at all times, hard to navigate. Pop cases are heavily damaged many times I went to get them. Staff will leave and not come back for 5 minutes in big lines occasionally, unprofessional for a grocery clerk. I don't know if it's the decision of the store or higher-ups, but they don't label tags for the TP in the front, so sometimes you'll pick up paper towel instead and the packaging is very hard to differentiate. Only silver lining is they don't charge a dollar like some other no frills for their carts. Produce section (albeit small) seems to be kept MOSTLY clean and there are good stores nearby, not to this store's credit.
Has a decent selection for a smallish store. Fruit and vegetables are just standard fare, nothing fancy. Supplies are well stocked and fresh (haven't bought anything spoiled or past due date).
When I got to the check out, one was training a person that we got SHE PUT 2,000 Instead of 20, How crazy thats why I put a 1 star
The question is how was no frills the answer is not as stressful as Fortinos on Dundurn Street
Quick visit but found what I was looking for. Produce although good just did not have that fresh look. Good pricing and selection for neighborhood grocery store
Quite honestly not the grocery store I would choose. Over all in the last couple of years they have gotten new ownership and it does seem a bit better. However I have noticed that staff can be very bias towards minorities and lower income shoppers. I have witnessed staff treat newcomers with impatience and frustration, I think better training and coaching would help them learn how to best handle these situations. I have seen the security guard cross the line in some interactions when the customer may not have been stealing. Going as far as to yell at customers and grab them or push them, even without confirmation they were stealing. I also have noticed the produce isn’t always the freshest. And have seen quite a bit of rotting or poor quality items on the shelves, I think this is just more of a quality control issue and may be caused by staffing issues. If you are unable to go to a different location it can meet your needs but I’d much rather use my pc points at Fortinos or order groceries online to avoid this place. In the past I’ve even had a staff member hit me while moving baskets and instead of apologizing was rude towards me for being in the way. If you are able to go in and keep your head down the store can meet the most basic of grocery store needs
It's good if you want to buy anything to your home
Very depressing
This place is great. Clean and fresh. Friendly and helpful staff. Everything I need for fresh healthy eating. Thank you!
GREAT Place Cheep Food
to small disgusting. ALWAYS DIRTY
Decent selection
A good place for grocery shopping. Price reasonable & also they match price with some stores e.g. food basics, walmart etc.
There is a lot to choose from. Didn't know though that all No-Name products were not taxed till I got this humongous tub of ice- cream for only 5 dollars and it was some of the best ice-cream I could get. Their products are cheaper compared to most. Loved the service too.
Really doing their best to support the customers experience and keeping the line ups moving. Staff is wonderful and caring!
Staff and patrons all in masks and quicker lines then normal around 2to5 pm best times to shop
Needs training on customer service. Attitude certainly isn't suitable for this field of work when you don't know how to interact or deal with customers.
I went as soon as they opened at 8:00 and there was no lineup n no crowd in the store.
Lacks alot of important things
Great sales
Dirty store. Virtually no customers paying attention to arrows on floors
I love this place because always I find everything there for a low prices.
A little crowded most times very small location not a huge selection of stuff but not bad overall
This no frills has definitely improved in the past couple years. Great place to shop for grocery staples at a reasonable cost.
Very small No Frills I ever visited, there is price difference compare to Mississauga
Nice place to do groceries
Clean, well stocked, with friendly staff
The older man who is always floating around is very rude to customers. I’ve seen him pushing people around with his words too many times. I understand it is busy but we are customers, not your children. I would really appreciate it if Ali would leave me alone from now on. This is the only grocery store I have ever shopped at where one of the staff members consistently bothers me. I do not shoplift, I mind my own business. Stay away from me and leave me alone.
I don't know why 2 stars. But when I was there to buy a birthday cake. There was no expiry date for it. And staff had no answer for that. They don't want to take responsibility of food. That's not good. You should be responsible for that because you selling those cakes. Take care
I dont appreciate being followed around by the owner like im going to steal. I am a customer, this is my grocery store and im profiled eveytime i go shopping. It's Not right!!
A good store, responsive to its multi cultural community
Reminder someone you have a good spot cheap prices
Very clean and well run. Produce is very good. Prices excellent.
Don't waste your time with this place if you can help it. The produce is always on the verge of spoiling or is spoiled. The same goes for eggs and bread. Its happened to many times already to me.
Would be nice to have more choices and have a grocery store that's well-stacked.
I love this store always clean and organized no frills is the the only store that carries my favorite tea which is roobius red tea no one anywhere has it, I like how there very professional when it come to the covid protocols I feel very safe here
Busy lines to cashier I waited 13 minutes to cash out one time and meats staring be pricey
Clean always have what I'm looking for
Wonderful staff, very patient and kind. Always great deals. I love No frills.
Always busy. Long line to check out
Was very well organized, and clean. Staff was helpful and polite.
We come here only for the fresh produce... We're pretty sure just because of how many people shop at this location their produce gets cycled quickly. However, with the lack of Covid practices and the manager or owner micro-managing the line up, this place is disgusting. As opposed to keeping people in one line until a cash register is free, this manager stacks 2-3 people in each lane. You have to cross 4 or 5 people almost face to face in order to get to the further lines, which you have no choice of unless you want to argue with the manager. Not to mention he takes no note of who has 1 or 2 items to send them to a quicker lane. Just makes no practical sense. We have also heard this same person argue with many guests about their position in line (3 times in 1 shopping trip)... I'm positive that no one is jumping lines just to spite this guy, the other people in line would work this out for him if it was happening. I have family members that I felt obliged to tell to stay away from this store as it is a disaster waiting to happen. My hope for this review is not to criticize, but to inform people to stay away if they are worried about catching the virus. You can protect yourself all you want but the best practice is to stay away from "high-chance" areas. There are plenty of grocery stores in Hamilton following the basics.
It's our usual store for weekly shopping always good deals
Good staff, great prices but it's super busy after work about 3-6.
Dirty and they don't always have the sale items. However, the franchise itself is good value
Not much to say it's a no frills. You do you some people doing funny thing here from time to time just because of the location
It was great a little crowed in the alles to get down
Acceptable and well stocked supermarket, reachable via many bus routes and well maintained. Staff is vigilant.
I find the owner to be rude at times. Does not enforce mandatory mask wearing as he does not wear it properly. Some employees not wearing mask properly as well also same with some customers. I always check any bread related items. In the past i purchased some to get home and find mold
Fully stocked. Friendly staff. Large selection of international foods.
Great place owner is nice great prices they have a nice dollarama pizza place even get your hair cut there
Great store nice and clean
Lean ground beef by flyer $1.88 lb paid at till $1.88 for 2lb pack excellent deal haven't seen this price in decades ????????
No Frills is my Gricer if choice but this location always leaves me wanting. Wanting more on the shelves, fresher wider produce choices but most importantly cleanliness! Also this is the only location not monitoring entrance or carts cleaned/sanitized vs waiting to be sanitized AND other locations, are not requiring the "rental" of carts keeping them untethered. I'll be using Franco's (Queenston Rd) and Tony's (Upper James) because they seem to care more about staff and customers health and safety
Good prices... don't get me wrong I love this grocery store but this location was really dirty and smelled like feet.
I'm pleased with my latest visit to this store! Clean, spacious iles, and lots of cashiers open!
Very rare to find grapes or green peppers that are actually fresh/good/edible and not rotting. Always always packed, so many floor associates, never enough cashiers. Does not take VISA.
It was very good ...they had what I wanted and they were very helpful when I had to go to the washroom,,I give them a 5
I really like this store, very helpful but sometimes staff a little to vocal about not liking there job! Then quit!
I Love this no frills becaue it is near my boyfriend's mom's place and I can do some shopping
Good selection of fruits.
Great deals!
This is one of my favorite no frills locations in hamilton
Service was efficient
The staff at Giorgio's No Frills is a very good store I have found that the personal here are very friendly and helpful. If they don't have something that is sold out of they will let you know when the next shipment will be in so that you can come back and pick it up. Or they will be happy to call a other No Frills for you to get what you want. They are Amazing
Staff is pretty nice there. The parking sometimes can b a pain because everyone wants to park up close. Lol. The vegitables and fruits pricing is usually good. And checking out is pretty quick.
Very good price .
Go here if you want good prices for milk, eggs and fruit, but remember to get a pc card cause you can get points here and at shoppers drug mart. And I think esso gives pc too. Great store though. Never an issue in the parking lot and they always got everything stocked. Don’t forget to bring your own bags too! Or they got reusable ones for sale.
I have grown very fond of this store. It is small with a more limited variety that matches its size - but it fits my lifestyle... Or perhaps I've adapted to the variety they carry since it's my closest grocery store. The staff is great. Prices are good. I'm happy with the produce. Decent quality and freshness because there is a fairly high turnover. Sometimes you have to be careful with the strawberries but I see that everywhere out in the world.
Understaffed, long lined, store is too small, too many panhandlers outside, even been asked for $ from people inside. Fruits & Vegetables dont last unless used in a day or two. I only go to this store because it is near & hate almost every visit. Staff are nice but just not enough of them.
Clean and fresh food and very busy at 3 to 6pm
Good prices, nearby location
Good little store
The sales i went to pick up were not available.IE:fresh chicken @2 dollars a pd.And tetley tea.The previous week.I went for the meat sales to arrive to a mainly empty meat dept....ket alone find any sale items in stock. When i asked at check out,was told ohhh truck is here, should be unpacked in afew hrs.How does that help me.ZIP!!!!Why advertise always in stock,n post business hrs. that don't reflect when they stock store.Oh,n go go to buy milk at opening, the delivery truck doesn't come till i believe after ten.Extremely disappointed.Considering changing grocery store chain.
Fresh is not a frill! That's what the flyer says but at Franco's it is. I bought a bag of potatoes this morning. The potatoes are old, wrinkled and soft with spots of rot. I attempted to bring them back and was told "we don't give refunds on open food" and "all of them will be the same anyway". So I brought them home and found most of them bruised all the way through. After peeling and cutting the bruised out I got enough good potato for mashed potatoes for one person out of an entire bag. My kids will share that one portion. My wife and I will go without. Over all the place stank. Looks like they are doing a cover up reno to look better. Other produce I didn't buy and didn't photo because I wasn't planning on doing this but browned lettuce, wilted green onions and wrinkled old peppers.
OMG! It seems like I walked into the poorest area grocery store, somewhere in US. One lady wasn't wearing mask in a store and they let her in a store!
Good selection and great staff. There's one employee named Mike that was extremely helpful and even though he was busy, took the time to help me find what I was looking for.
I preferred when the stock people went in overnight, now there is always big carts of stock and ladders everywhere, I find the shelves look emptier now. The store seems messier now with them stocking during the day
Super helpful staff will come back and recommend your store
Fresh butcher's here along with sea food unlike some of the other No Frills
Fair size store, large crowd, many varieties, reasonable prices, good customer service.
This is the worst No Frills I've seen so far. It is crammed and poorly organized, and the selection of goods is worse than average. There is no self-checkout, and there are line-ups almost at all times. Many customers use prepaid cards or cash, and they are unable to estimate, let alone calculate, how much groceries they can buy. That slows the check-out significantly, but cashiers have the patience of a saint. If you have time and the means of transportation, go to Franco's on Queenston Rd. The latter is the best No Frills I've ever been to.
5% of the time products are expired or going to be within one day. Told the staff, still the same. Company just wants to make money thats it .NO concern for the public . So Please make sure to check the date before you purchase. Also customer service at this location deserve 0 stars.
I have lowered my rating after my experience today. This was the second time in six months that I have taken bread all the way to the register only to discover that a rat has eaten a significant chunk out of the back of the loaf. Also they are often sold out of sale items or have never had them in stock. And today strawberries were on sale with a healthy dose of white mold growing around the leaves. I do not consider a mold free and pest free store a frill! I am so very frustrated that this is the only grocery store within walking distance of my home.
not happy with the new owners of this place... they put up sale signs for product but when you check out at the cash, they ding you full price.... went back to get my money back and the managers rep Tyrone? i think his name was would only argue... it was all my fault... i am supposed to check my bill before leaving.... when i suggested maybe it was time for me to find a new supermarket to shop at. he a agreed... 20+ years i have been buying my groceries at that location... i will not be back till it changes hands again
A grate and wonderfull experience to have seen a beautiful store with very helpfull emplyees every step of my shopping and the knowing the fine presence of casual security.
Great place
On Holiday,s in Ontario needed supper MMM subs and salad thks ????
Hardly ever enough cashiers on duty. Shelves are always stocked though. Would like to see a few gluten free options
Great deals and friendly people and close by
Fresh vegetables and fruits ????
Don't mind coming here but was disappointed they did not have what I was looking for as it was a sale item but something we all use...toilet paper!!! Lol
New covid setup weak. No clean carts. Store layout allows people to get to close to each other. Check out has also changed and is not good. I will not return.
I seen 2 mice in the produce isle and a cockroach running across the floor. I wouldn't be surprised if they have bedbugs.
Very dirty there
Franco's No Frills is the best place to shop because I got anything I needed to buy there
Its not good. The security in this store is wrong. He told my girlfriend to get out of the store. I was called and went over. I asked the guy why he kicked her out. He says that he doesn't want her in the store. I said why. He say because he doesnt want a thief and a criminal in the store. I asked what has she stolen. He said nothing. I don't want her in my store. Few more words were said. I went and got what I needed. I phoned the police and asked what the law is. I was told its private property and they have the right to ask people to leave the store. But i see from the review's. Im not the only person that he does this to. She has been in that store many times, by herself and with me. He has the right to ask her to leave, but why this time? She was there just 2 days ago. The security has alot of issue. Im sure they will lose lots of business with a person like that.
This week was a good deal on pop/soda. 3 for $2.88 ( Coke or Pepsi products). Approx .96 cents each plus tax.
No good salami roten staff not much of halp
Good prices decent selection, just make sure you lock your car doors before going in
This store must dislike Diabetics, 20% of the population in Canada, since the change over they have discontinued 90% of their sugar reduced or substituted products, or limited choice to one flavour. I live four blocks away and my spending in this store has gone from 80% of my food budget to 40% in the last 6 months. If you are diabetic don't shop there you will be wasting your time.
Terrible post COVID service. Door auto locks with NO ONE in attendance.
Floors clean, shelves stocked the only thing is some of the cashiers are not pleasant
To many homeless asking you for money or chasing you across the parkinglot.
Been going here for years... we got no problems. Sales are great, prices fair, we can get lots for a good price. Honestly don’t think any of the other stores are cheaper.
Dont go there for the flyer feature of Farmers Market New Crop Potatoes for $ 2.97 for a big bag because they are not new crop potatoes .... does not even say it on the bag ....... false advertising at its finest !!!!!
They helped reall quick
Clean bldg and good selections . Some produce was bagged in Bulk form and not in single selections. Was able to get most Of what I needed. Ailes were a little crowded but that was to be expected.
Decent weekly specials. Certainly no frills but produce is good if only a basic selection. Like all No Frills they don't accept visa which is always a bit of a nuisance. Frequently the cashes get backed up with no additional Lanes opening so can take a while to get cashed out
Franco 's no-frills is a really good &accomadating store .employees are nice and helpful . When needed .
No frills is one of the best places around for good fresh food clean friendly and. Cheep love the sales they have
They have the best Bread And Salt pita bread
Not good when the owner is harassing the shoppers
YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO RANDOMLY SEARCH BAGS OF PEOPLE YOU THINK ARE STEALING BEFORE THEY HAVE EVEN LEFT THE STORE. STOP INVADING PEOPLES PRIVACY. I WILL REFUSE YOU ACCESS TO MY PRIVATE PROPERTY NEXT TIME AND THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT BUT CRY AND SMOKE OUTSIDE. Garbage service, garbage store, garbage produce- you're lucky to be in a low income area so you can rip off poor people constantly and keep this store open.
They are usually well stocked. Staff is nice
Great sortiments. Great prices.
Super savings. Great selection. Fresh produce. Meats clearly marked, breads and pastry, soft, and delicious. Thank you for a fantastic shopping experience.
Out of stock on alot of what I buy. Not replenished for weeks or months. Always seems to be enough cashiers. The employees are friendly. Lots of parking. Other than being out of stock on certain things, not a bad store at all.
Great tellers , good sales and regular prices , 6 minute walk . What's not to like?
Most affordable grocery store :) lots of changes to the layout. Good experience.
Good service but was a little crowded
This used to be a decent establishment. Unfortunately, with my recent experiences, I cannot say that truthfully anymore. My visit today will most likely be my last. Upon entering the store the hired personnel known as a “floor walker” to most, demanded I tie up a plastic bag from a previous store I made a purchase at. I ignored him, not having the slightest inclination as to who or what he was. He chased after me and demanded I leave the store, as I found it absolutely absurd that that could even be a store policy for such a large chain grocer. He made a comment along the lines of “that’s how we deal with people like you” when I questioned as to why others had plastic bags which were not tied. On top of that, he told me “it’s just Ali to you” when I asked his name to deal with this issue of discrimination formally. I feel my baggy pants and Hustle Gang sweater had a lot to do with this man targeting me.
Excellent store, well maintained and cared for, sales are well worth paying attention to, one of my main staples for shopping
Could be open a little later, considering it's basically the only grocery store between downtown and the east end. Just like any other No Frills.
Very little choice in meat department some products they didnt even have just empty shelves
Franco has really cleaned up this location. Wider product selection would be helpful. Maybe expand this location. Love Franco's dedication to our community!
Decent selection food-wise but their Covid protocols are incredibly disappointing. It is very crowded at cash registers, and time is not allotted for one customer to pack their bags before they are pressing the next person past. Just like pre-covid, despite the 6-food social distancing rules. Won't be going back to this location.
Appreciated that the buggies/carts are free to use and the owner was outside greeting us. Also there were plenty of cashiers open
Most times it's far too crowded to shop at this location. Best time is in the mornings if one has the free time. Also I don't seem to save much if anything on groceries even if I'm buying strictly items on sale.
Prices are good
Nice floor setup once you're used to it. Staff are friendly and helpful. Store is well stocked and have a large selection of fruits and vegetables.
And even one star is too much but I wasn't allowed to reduce it to one half......I will be back tomorrow to complain....... I wonder if you will have the guts to discuss it. Ron
Great store, they have close to everything you could need.
Loyal to this store... always been a great experience for me.
Terrible produce, terrible people that shop at this location, terrible line ups. Shop elsewhere. Trust me, you deserve better Also, anytime you ask for an item that you can't find the classic answer is "the truck didn't show up" ???? Lame excuse for not actually stocking the shelves. Pretty sure that whoever the drivers are that "don't show up" would have been fired by now........
Wide assortment of produce.
Decent produce, prices reasonable. Area still too dodgy.
I can't find anything half the time, and expect to be asked for change from a homeless person in the parking lot. It's better than the NoFrills on Upper James though. This place does not follow COVID rules. They let folks walk in without masks and it's always packed, especially in the produce area. Definitely not safe at this location. The owner should be ashamed.
Not to busy, no wait, friendly staff except my check out lady was gossiping to the next one but ????????????
I only shop there for frozen and canned goods. Never been a fan of the meats they carry. Staff are rude and always blocking isles while stocking shelves during business hours.
Cranky old guy running the show there.
Great little store. Good selection of sale items.
Something wasnt on the store shelf in a flavor i like and i asked if they had it, they did and got it for me, also willing to reach top shelves for a person, tellers, floor people are all nice.
Not a good place for good grocery
Stopped by the garden centre... great value on the last inventory.. The plants were healthy, organized and very very well priced. Great selection for this time of the year especially if you are looking for perennials... which I was.
great place, great food...... the grey hair guy that works there was a little over the top but I understand completely now why he's like that, with the people he has to deal with.
Great place to shop clean and friendly staff
The young blonde girl on cash is rude and has no customer service skills, received bad customer service.
Not bad they have cleaned it up nicely, but hate digging thru rotten fruit !
Always well organized and the staff are friendly. The manager is doing a fantastic job keeping things flowing smoothly during this pandemic.
I have been doing work behind the no frills since the beginning of August. the site has no toilets avalible, and when I enter the establishment even with the intentions of purchasing something they tell me I'm not welcomed. Giorgio continuously confronts me and other sub trades about using coustomer washroom and stealing. he has made it very clear that if you are a blue collared member of the community you're not welcomed in No Frills.
There's better places to go in the city
Always well stocked, and kept quite clean.
Its a good place to get good quality things for cheaper rates.
Good prices!! Selection can be hit or miss. Store seems more interested in loss prevention than customer service.
Ok a bit busy no everyone social distancing ...cust. rude
This place always has nothing and there is a shopping cart guy that will watch every move that you make an accused you of stealing this place is the worst place ever go grocery shopping my advice to save their money and go to a different grocery store
Covid Hotspot please stay away
Rude people at cash registers. Avoid price matching at all costs. They say only local price matching however, they wont price match giant tiger which is 5 blocks away. Sorry will never shop at this location again.
The store is much cleaner than before and the hours are easy open til 9pm every night
Good store very comfortable as staff were easy to talk with
Everything is usually fresh and reasonably priced. I don't like how the owner just stands there and watches people all the time though..
This place is terrible. I can't add anything someone else hasn't already said, it's just bad. I am just trying to lower it's overall rating. Who in the right mind would rate it 5 stars? Let's see if we can make the overall rating truthful
Love the presidents choice choc. Mint ice cream totally hooked on it!!!
The manager should keep tabs on the obscene music when he's away.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. The selection of food items is decent as well.
it's basically okay nothing special don't go there if you want good service prices are fine not difficult to find things. not my regular store I only go there when I don't have time to go elsewhere
Almost never has sales items in stock EVER. Alot of fresh inventory is close to expiry, unlike most grocery stores. This used to be a good store but no more.
Dec 31 just after closing but over 12 people with carts being filled still inside I slipped in the exit side. Well there went that simple 2lt ginger ale purchase. The store manager came barrelling after me with a hole list of what was now going to happen. All the tellers were not to cash me out and I WAS THE ONLY ONE NOT ALLOWED TO PURCHASE ANYTHING. Good luke keeping people coming to this store under this manager for much longer.
I like food basics more than no frills. Food basics has more variety
Decent no frills that has improved alot over that last few years. I shop there often.
It was okay but didn't get what i wanted
Fully recommend this store! I have been shopping at this No Frills for years, and absolutely love it. My children enjoy coming in with me to do our grocery shopping. The store is always stocked, fresh fruits and vegetables, it's great.
It was good for grocery shopping...
Find everything I need there. Staff is friendly and cleaning is remarkable.
Easy to walk to , friendly , helpful workers prices are reasonable, competitive and sale comparable
Fast and eazy
Really great store for grocery. Nice staff, great products and good price!!!
Everything was well stocked. Excellent prices on no name chicken strips $5 and Armstrong's 400 grams of cheese for $3.87 Deals Deals Deals. Great Service
good prices quality and friendly!!!
Greatest Oregon, but sometimes the line is super long
That place is great never had a problem with staff if I ask to find something always showed me where it is on check days yes the lines are long but other then that never had a problem
I like this store you can find everything you need and price are reasonable.
Pretty much your average no frill. My only complaind it that they run out of sale items far too fast and often to not enforce limits on sale items.
Decent no frills. Go mostly because it's the closest one to me. Sometimes aisle are overly crowded with extra displays
Giorgio runs a tight ship. Best No Frills in the city.
Like the price match . Also the new barbecue meat boxes for $25 with 4 to 5 different kinds of meat to choose from. Great deals.
Much cleaner than it used to be
They were doing the right thing. Had a line up for shopping and clean buggies..
Very clean and very nice worker's
I can mostly find what I need here. It's cheap it's clean they have a decent selection. It can be difficult to find staff and when you do find staff there's no guarantee they'll know where to find what you're looking for. They also don't alway do a great job at asking for points card, and the fastest express lane is 16 items or less. Not the best No Frills I've been to, but it's got the basics covered.
It's not a bad store, It's in a pretty bad place in the city so things can get messy. It's not meant to be high quality, just good prices so that we can get the most for our dollar. Naturally, getting more for less means you have to sacrifice some things. Frills: an unnecessary extra feature or embellishment Hence, No Frills. As for the high demand items that are always sold out, that's because they're high demand items and people tend to buy them in bulk. You gotta show up early to get the good stuff because high stock is a frill.
We come here often, the manager is extremely helpful and says hi to us every time we're there! He heard us talking about not having change for a cart and went and found us little No Frills coin keychains. This was months ago. We're still so thankful.
The man who supervises is rude.
I can't believe how friendly the staff are. Would like it even more if they had a scooter to use. It hurts to walk through the store
Good for emergencies, but selection is sort of limited as it is smaller compared to the others. Prices are almost always the lowest.
Very friendly staff, great selection. Had an issue with a product and the owner was actually in the store. He addressed my concerns right away and was very polite.
Good prices, nice staff. A good place to shop, more ang for your buck
Quality has certainly gone down quite a bit twice now I have purchased produce (bell peppers) that ended up being moldy inside!!! And good luck buying anything as nothing is in stock around certain times of the month the last time I went (a few days ago) the meat section was almost completely empty and the isles are all packed .... there was 12 people pushing through each other in the pasta isle .... I will not go back if I can help it
Not bad, I just don't feel comfortable shopping in this area. They also carry organic items, so that's a bonus
Bought 2 pieces of pre-marinated/spiced NY strip loin steaks, couldn't wait to eat them, well done as usual, 6 hours later the meat couldn't wait to get out of me at 3 am!...4 trips to the bathroom from 3 to 8 am...humm.. never buying meat from there again! I ate one, the other went to the garbage, they probably marinated or kept them at the wrong temperature.
Okay selection, but often congested. Prices are usually quite reasonable. Parking lot can be difficult to exit towards King if you're on foot (no sidewalk on the east side).
I purchased everything I needed .just wish that they had fresh bagels
Had an amazing experience at this NoFrills location, the manager and staff went above and beyond to help me locate something I had misplaced on store grounds. It was very comforting to have the staff at No-frills work to solve my situation. Thank you to the manager Giorgio and staff.
I had a full cart cashier was very efficient and polite
Dec 23, 2020. Second lockdown and announced new and super contagious strain of covid. Store is crowded. Check out line reaching back of the store. Cashiers not cleaning stations in-between customer and not even waiting for the previous customer to finish and leave before attending to the next. Shopping carts are not seperated and sanitized. Staff are not counting and limiting number of shoppers for social distancing, only screening for covid symptoms which is useless on its own. Several staff members are wearing vented masks which are useless. If you value your life, don't come here. Definitely not following lockdown rules. Also, chicken which is supposed to expire in 4 days has already spoiled and still for sale....it seems that there fridges are not set at the right temperature and that this store doesn't follow general food safety guidelines either . Other review complains of food poisoning after eating well done stake. They deserve to be shutdown.
Veggies are rarely fresh, green beans went mould in fridge in 3 days. Gala apples were soft. Grimy location
Good service very quick in and out no pokestops but decent spawns gym near by tho
Grocery shopping. It was fone
Great place n prices. Never go any where else.
Great store staff works hard friendly manager is great guy enjoy shopping ???? there worth checking out
closer to my place and staff / cashiera are nice , friendly helpful...
It is a good place for my groceries but the owner doesn't trust anyone,he watches everyone like a hawk. It's too bad.
No frills is ok .me and my wife like the way doing with costumes always.
This is one of the best always clean always polite and helpful
Store is always packed and is not very clean. I shop here once and a while just because I like PRESIDENTS CHOICE product. You always get harassed by people all drunk or high at the front. Don't bring your kids with you here. One good thing is there is lots of parking.
Store is mostly clean and there's always staff around. It is always very busy and the shoppers can be quite rude and pushy. Store seems to be awkwardly organized. Nothing is where i'd expect it to be. Good sales though. Very affordable.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff
Clean hallways, but I need the cucumbers to be from a recent fresh crop.
Store needs some maintenance...inside and outside. Garbage and cigarette butts all over the sidewalk.
They had everything I needed except the Apple pie I wanted. It was all sold out. The cashier was very friendly.
This is my main place to shop for food, great prices and selections.Staff are friendly
This store is horrible for ensuring social distancing measures are kept. It's bad enough that several other customers do not respect a 2 meter distance but when management and staff don't either. I know people work hard, but that's not right. I respect the workers but I dont see that they share the same values. I visited this location today, and forgot my quarter for my cart so used a basket, which was quite full by the time I got to the checkout line. I was directed to lane 7. The was a CSR washing baskets and I asked her to get me a liter of milk I forgot, she appeared to hesitate but ultimately brought it to me, which i thanked her for. The two cashiers (one training I guess) processed my groceries. I paid and started to pack and the manager sent another customer to my lane. I became quite anxious and tried to hurrily pack my items as they all stared at me. The customer who was next was less than 2 feet from me. They should have waited. Her items were close to mine. Moreover the cashier kept pressing the belt so all of my items were jumbled to the end and squished my bread. This isn't a one time occurrence and from what i see, they do this to all customers. I am also concerned they none of the staff/management wore any kind of protective gear, sheild/mask, whatsoever, nor do they enforce safety measures. This is quite concerning
I always shop here, the selection is good, the price is always competitive. Staff is very pleasant and helpful
Shelves not stocked and watched an argument with owner and a cashier, not a great customer experience
The manager at No Frills and I have had words. We don't see eye to eye. So I try to avoid the place. However I do like all the other No Frills I've ever been. There is an even better store down beside the city's jail, on Barton st. I believe It's ten times better. Happy shopping everyone!
The usual good prices
Clean great place to shop. A little heavy on people watching and following you in the store ( security)
It has all the household necessities at a good price
Hello Giorgio I just have to say that I"'ve always shopped @ No Frlls but since your store in Burlington I try only to shop at your stores, in the East end and now your present store. I don'T KNOW WHERE TO RATE YOU AND YOUR STORES BUT I"LD GIVE YOU 200%. Your staff are great, yor store is always well stocked, nice and clean. IT"S ALWAYS A PLEASURE , THANKFULLY YOURS SANDI????
No Frills is what it's name says!! Don't expect clean bathrooms, great service, full shelves, but for specials they're great. Always good parking
Never stock up on sale items and my truck taillight smashed even there last.
It is always a pleasure to shop there the staff is always willing to help u if they can
Awesome store great prices groceries, enjoyed my experience alot, except for spending $350.00!! Lol
Wow, first time I've seen a grocery store with flies buzzing around the blue berries. Mold on other veggies. More manager attention needed here
Good one
Terrible for COVID protocols, most people were either not wearing masks properly or not at all and not socially distancing. Avoid going here if you care about COVID rules.
Always find expired foods in the dairy dept, and customer service is terrible.
Alright place to go too. Clean. Some of the staff are ok, others seem rushed, not so friendly.. good place to price match. They try to keep the shelves stocked & product in. Their "security" guy, well he's something else.. just goes to say what others have said about him I can agree.. sometimes I don't know why he's there.. lately I've seen him outside more smoking than inside the store. But when he's inside he's harassing customers & the cashiers. Time to get rid of him & actually hire a real LICENSED security person.
They are the worst for being out of stuff and a lot of stuff! it’s so cramped you can’t shop with a cart , it’s just not worth the hassle.
With Covid still going strong. Carts are not being wiped down no questions being asked. It's no wonder this epidemic will not end anytime soon.
